i think people forget just how strong and good at winning fights dick grayson is. like i'm not even talking among the batfam. I'm talking, has fought slade wilson and even won, im talking has insane feats of physical capabilities that aren't doing a quadruple but the amount he can lift bc of comic book science. and how much this man has fought regularly among supower powered people. it's forgotten even among a bunch of dick grayson fans, which is sad.

I like to headcanon that one of the reasons that Damian feels so connected to Dick is because Dick is the first person to truly appear to him as human.

By which I mean

This is a boy who was raised to be a warrior. Taught his entire childhood that he is better than his humanity by a grandfather and mother who lost their humanity to the waters of the lazarus pit long ago. To him, they're infallible, all-powerful, and they teach him that he too is a prince with his head raised far above man.

Then he goes to his father. His father, who is practically a myth. More shadow than man, more Gotham than individual. A force of nature. Broken and raw on the inside, but Damian doesn't know that yet. To him, that becomes what infallibility means. And that is the position to which he should aspire. The next Bat, the only rightful heir, better than the humanity in Gotham's streets.

Then, his father is... gone. And suddenly Damian isn't a prince, or an heir, or a warrior. He's just another discarded son. And all he has in the world is a brother that he never wanted, who never wanted him. And Dick is... something that he doesn't quite know how to parse out at first. He's as skilled as his father, and after a few months, Damian has to admit, he might be better, but he's still... different. He's not a myth. He's not infallible. He is no prince. And he doesn't expect Damian to be one either. For the first time in his life, someone looks at Damian and sees a child. A child that is no different than Dick was when he traded his circus leotard for a cape and mask, and for the first time, Damian is told that to be a prince is to be lonely. To be human is many things, many unpleasent, but it is above all else, not lonely.

I want this movie. I definitely want this movie. I think it's the direction they need to go in.

I think this is just concept art. It's not even bad.

I like ginger Jason. I do.

So how does the mohawk work. Like with a secret identity. Maybe he's not with Bruce yet? Then why is he a hero. Erasing crime backstory? No. He kinda looks like if clown hunter and Damian had a kid and then someone turned it ginger.

I am excited about this project

How old is Dick here, teens? I mean okay so maybe they get time to grow up toge- Jason's uniform are homemade, he's a street vigilante, he's a child vigilante off the street? I'm sorry I know I'm dissecting this with no information, I promise I'll come back after reading more but is what I'm getting from this like 12 yr Jason Todd "we are robin"ing it.

I'm excited for this project. I do think more family aimed animated movies have been needed this is what I wanted.

I mean they just wouldn't do that but Jason being a child thief is a key part of his story if you have him introduced as some kid who just wants to be like Robin that's removing a huge part of who he is and I just looked at the synopsis and I guess I'm just happy kids have something to help get them into DC at this point it's not for me but the art looks great and I do think it will most likely be enjoyable but I just don't vibe with it.

there's this shot in dunmeshi's living armor episode where the party is peeking between slightly open doors into a room, and it pans from tall man laios all the way down to half-foot chilchuck. i thought it'd be fun to do it with the batkids, and then recreate the panning by making u scroll all the way to damian. :')

I put Talia in a Hafu from the tang dynasty because I recently went down a rabbit hole of the fashion because I started the apothecary diaries and thought Talia in a Hafu would be so beautiful.

Also Damian in a little bowl cut because it’s canon I fear.

Jason finds out that Tim is Robin and immediately confronts him which goes something like this:

Jason: so you're Robin, huh? you know I used to be Robin. How does it feel to steal a name?

Tim: emphasis on "used to be Robin." And I'm the 3rd robin. YOU set the precedent for stealing names. What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of Joker wanting his name back, RED HOOD

Jason: :(

And then some time later when Tim is Red Robin, Jason comes and finds him again like

Jason: wow you're doing it again. Stealing names from me (even if it's an alternate version of me)

Tim: remember that time you dressed up as Nightwing and killed people cause I do. I have the footage of it too.

Jason: >:(

Hc all the batkids decide to give Bruce Happy Mothers day as a prank

. Dick comes up with the idea and gets everyone to sign a Happy Mother's Day card that he made

. Jason buys him a watch with a small card saying "Happy Mother's day, loser"

. Cass buys him a mug that says "Best Mother in the world" (Shiva will later find out and fistfight Bruce because of it)

. Tim makes a gadget that Bruce had projected but had no time to actually build, and leaves it on his desk in a small gift box

. Duke has No Idea how other people are going about the prank and decides to buy him flowers

. Damian paints Martha Wayne (Tim helps by finding him several reference pictures)

They all think they're going to make Bruce Very Uncomfortable. Because well, he's not a mother. He's their father. Guys, Bruce starts sobbing by the end of the day. He hugs them and won't let go. Plan sucessfully backfired.
