So I had an idea. Inspired by Elden Ring's St. Trina- HEAR ME OUT! PLEASE! You don't have to know much about the lore cause I honestly won't mind. Just gonna give some basics. So, for genderbend. Male y/n is, like, a deity of sleep. So he can go into dreams, to soothe nightmares, make them good dreams, soothe troubled minds this way. He could also make people fall asleep with mist and things like that. He's, like, the true embodiment of compassion. In the real world, he's almost constantly sleeping. When awake, he's in that cute, half-asleep state, constant cuddles and things like that. So, one night, he enters the Monkey Queens' dreams. Soothes any nightmares, and just talks to them, sings lullabies. (free therapy!) This happens multiple nights in a row. The Monkey Queens are so charmed by this, that they try to find out where y/n is outside the world of dreams. And when they do find y/n, they just snatch him up like: "You're mine now sweetheart 😤" (courtnap of the sleep deity XD)

(Lmk Wukong) She was so under your spell from the very beginning that you treated her with such care of her. You entered her nightmare one night and found her crying, so you dispelled the nightmare that tortured her. She would lay her head on your chest as you offer comfort and love, and after everything that happened to her for centuries you were a source of joy and happiness for her. Your love lullaby songs that would bring a blush and tears to her eyes and face, but you would wipe her tears away gently at cooing her. She felt deeper and deeper into your sleepy love spells, she just had to have you. So when she woke up she immediately went to find you, wanting you as her immortal husband. A month and many sleep dates later, she found you asleep in your nimbus where she courtnapped you. Your hers now sleepheart🥰
(MKR Wukong) It was love at first dream for her, as you destroyed the horrible nightmares that plague her in her sleep. You were so kind and Compassionate always there when she needs you, and every night was the same. Your lullaby like love songs and sweet touches and cuddles, wiping away the tears she didn't know she had in her eyes. Wukong was under your spell and couldn't go to sleep enough, it was your sleepy first kiss is when she made the decision to courtnap you for herself. During the journey when she had free time she would go to look for you, and she found you napping at the temple, her master prayed in. So she secretly took you with her, and made you her sleepy loving husband Her wonderful sleepheart.
(HIB Wukong) She's never been so relaxed ever since she saw you. You've been nothing but kind and caring of her. You would sing softly to her whenever she's in a really dark state and cuddle her close to you, offering nothing but comfort and support. You became her whole dream world as you came into her dreams every night to offer a sacred kiss. You would shower her with compliments of her beauty and then one night you told her you loved her, is when Wukong promised to find you in person. The next morning she had pigsy babysit and looked for you, and after a few weeks she found you in the next village over. She gently woke you up, seeing your tired smile made her chirp and bought you right home.
(NR Wukong) Her nightmares quickly became wet dreams when you got in her head. She would have occasional nightmares, but that's when you always come in. You would enter her dreams and dispelle the nasty dreams, Serenading her with beautiful lullabies and dreams cuddles full of comfort. She's always waiting for you in her dreams as you took good care of her, but one particular night the exchange was soon heated with you on top of her making her moan and scream your name until the crack of dawn. After waking up hot and ready in her bed after that especially wild and Intense dream she needed to take you home😉😏 So with her every connection she found that you sleep in the slums of the city and she was quick to courtnap you home. Her little sleepheart🥰
(Netflix Wukong) you've been singing lullabies to her whenever she had a especially nasty nightmares. In her dreams you would come down and safe her from the scary monsters, and you would comfort her and wipe her tears away. You would cuddle her and kiss her neck and face Giving her your endless affection, filling the loneliness in her very being. Wukong was quick to grow obsessed with you as you bring her love and company in her time alone, not Judgment and scolding just your sweet sweet love and patience from you. Wukong woke up in bliss and she Realize she wanted you forever. So she began her search to find you, wanting to courtnap you before someone gets wise and a month later found you sleeping soundly by the waters. She took her little sleepheart right back home with her.
(BMW Wukong) She refuses to admit that she has nightmares, I mean she knows their not real so why should she be stress and afraid for?? Though that was until she was suffering from a particular dream where she was back in that mountain alone, vulnerable and afraid Trying so hard not to cry until you came into her dreams. Suddenly her cold harsh prison became a soft comfortable cloud, she saw your pretty sleepy face for the first time and she was floored. Every night with a sexy lullaby and a dream message from you relaxing and biting her lips under your gentle touches. Wukong fell in love with you hard, you offer nothing but care, comfort, and support also warm comfortable cuddles. Wukong couldn't get enough of you and your visits which is when she made a choice, she prepared herself to courtnap you and join her in holy matrimony. She found you a week later sleeping in a tree by a river, so she took you her little sleepheart right home to flower fruit mountain.
(Destined one) She met you in her dreams one night at first she thought you weren't real, but when she would find you in her sleep at some point She felt there was something different about you. The Destined one would hear nothing but lullabies in her sleep as you would sing softly in her ears, and helping her relax with cuddles. The Destined one would whisper to her aunt Bajie about the monkey sleep deity men of her literal dreams, she fell deeper and deeper under your spell her wanting you to herself. As you continued to visit her in her dreams with your handsome sleepy face, she made a choice to go and find you in person. She found you a few weeks later napping on your nimbus by a peach tree, after lightly kissing your lips, she took you right along with her. Her brand new sleepheart she couldn't wait to show Auntie Bajie.

can you give some tips on fixing your sleep schedule?? i'm in my summer break and i need to fix it in two weeks for school 😭
FIXING YOUR SLEEP ROUTINE

ADJUST YOUR BEDTIME BY 15-30 MINUTES EARLIER PER DAY, until you get to your ideal bedtime. This helps the body to readjust and start feeling tired at your bedtime.
That being said, you also have to re-establish the time you wake up. It is much easier to go to bed the earlier you wake up. Your body may start feeling tired earlier, as more energy is expended in the morning.
CREATE A BEDTIME ROUTINE. Have a time in which you start your bedtime rituals, which can be anything as long as they are not physically or mentally exhausting. It is best to keep your evening routine simple, as you don’t wanna overwhelm yourself right before bed.
AVOID CAFFEINATED DRINKS AND SUGARY FOODS BEFORE BED. These foods and drinks should be consumed at least 4-5 hours before you go to bed. Caffeine will delay your body clock and sugar can disrupt your sleep.
LIMIT NAPS, or just don’t nap at all. Naps are fine in general, but if you want to change your bedtime, it is best to avoid napping. If you do need a nap, keep it under 30 minutes and don’t do it after 2’lock.
GET SUN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. When we seek natural light in the morning, it tells our internal body clock that we are waking up, and when done regularly, our bodies will naturally wake up at that time.
NO DEVICES IN BED. This can be a permanent rule if you want, but temporarily, do not allow any kind of devices in your bed. Regardless of how you want to use it. If you do need to use it, sit anywhere else but your bed. Even the floor! Avoiding devices while in bed will make it easier for you to fall asleep, as most of the time devices can distract us from some shut-eye.
PRACTICE GOOD SLEEP HYGIENE. I have a whole post on this, which can be found in my master list. Sleep hygiene is the practice of setting habits and rituals that promote healthier and better sleep.

I had to come brag about our second sleep through the night with Derrick. I got almost a full 8 hours last night! I put Derrick down around 8:30p and woke a few times in the 2:00a and 3:00a hours expecting him to wake me, but he was fast asleep. Holden woke around 5:30a so naturally that woke me as well, but I got to stay in bed and doze until Derrick finally woke at 6:50 this morning. Mind blown. He’s 15 weeks today and I can’t believe how well we’re doing with our night time routine.
What else? I made a parent friend at the playground this week. I met another stay at home dad with a 10 month old little girl. We met up another day at the park and we’re going to meet up at the library for story time today. It feels kinda weird that it’s a dad friend rather than a mom friend, but for no good reason? He’s a totally nice guy and he and his wife have the same dynamic as us (wife breadwinner and husband caretaker) and they’re also new to the area. After I return to work hopefully B can meet up with him too.
B has been keeping busy building a new shed in our backyard. I’m doing the mom thing and feeling a little better about juggling it all, maybe because I’m getting better sleep. Does anyone else do laundry every single day, though? Cuz I’m doing laundry in some capacity every day and I can’t ever seem to get ahead.
B and I had a little date night at home the other night after the kids went to bed. We played scrabble and had a glass of wine and talked and made eye contact and it felt nice. Too often we end the day next to each other on the couch but both with our phones in our hands and the tv on. We’re gonna try to do that more often.
I’m going to get a haircut this afternoon and leaving everyone else home. I never spend any time away from the kids, really, and it’s so very needed. Afterward I think I’m just going to sit somewhere and eat a late lunch by myself and enjoy eating hot food that I didn’t have to cook at a normal, slow pace. It’s the little things.

Day 20 of 75 Hard
When I complete today, it'll be the furthest I've ever been in this challenge (made it through day 10 then day 19 in 2021).
The journey so far:
Two 45+ minute workouts, 3+ hours apart, at least one of which must be outside. Because I work 10 hour days in wetland restoration navigating mucky, watery, and steep terrain with ~40lbs on my back, I count those 4 workdays as my outdoor workout. Yes it's already part of my routine, but I wasn't going to not do this challenge just because I'm not fitting another workout in before work.
My other outdoor workouts are all walking and/or running around the neighborhood or on trails. My indoor workouts are push, pull, and indoor cycling days with my buddy, bowling with my husband, and following walk/dance/box/lift/yoga vids at home.
Saturdays are wild because I need to get a walk/run in, then go straight to cycling, and then 3 hours later bowl bc my afternoons are booked and I have to get that outdoor workout in but 3 hours away from another workout. Making it work, though!
I did put together an idealized workout schedule to train for the 5 mile trail run my buddy and I signed up for 2 weekends after we complete 75 Hard. Already had to adjust because I twisted my ankle yesterday, so I used that opportunity to try Qigong (followed by 45 min yoga). We'll see if I should stick with walking today or if I can throw in a few 3-4 minute runs.
Honestly, the toughest part of this rule is the scheduling and getting started. I really enjoy the physical activity when I'm in the flow of it.
Take a progress picture. This has been beneficial for me in a way I couldn't predict. The mirror has always surprised me, like "oh, that's what I look like?" It always shows me as curvier, less athletic than I picture myself. Might stem from a grey area of body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria. It's one of the things I'm talking with my therapist about.
But now that I'm taking a picture of my body every day, I'm realizing that what I'm seeing in the mirror looks better than what I'm seeing in the photo, giving an element of valuing what I see in the mirror. Like, I can more positively accept that that's me. So that's cool.
10 pages of reading a "think about your life" nonfiction book. I read The Book on Mental Toughness, which the creator of 75 Hard wrote. 3 of 5 stars. I might write an extended review, but a lot of the book was like watching a car crash. Yeah, the author's mentally tough, but he's not very well read sociologically. It'll be a tougher read for anyone who's nonbinary, living with intergenerational trauma, or can't stand editing/formatting issues. But there was some insightful info about 75 Hard and the continued LIVEHARD program, and I really benefited from the chapter on drinking water.
Currently reading Weave the Liminal: Living Modern Traditional Witchcraft, which I'm fully enjoying.
Books I'm considering reading next are Rest is Resistance: Free Yourself from Grind Culture and Reclaim Your Life / How to Make Friends & Influence People / The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius / Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good / and Keeping It Living: Traditions of Plant Use and Cultivation on the Northwest Coast of North America.
If anyone has a recommendation for books on Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, or Aphrodite/Aphroditus, I'm looking to learn more about their part in trans history.
Drink 1 gallon of water. I have to stick with a 90oz goal. I've tried multiple times in the past to drink a gallon a day and always wound up with a horribly sore throat after a few days. Last time, it made me sick for 2 weeks. So 90oz of unflavored water is definitely way more than I'd drink normally (32oz on a good day) but without dipping back into unhealthy territory. There are some days that I can drink more (allowing me to get in some Gatorade, preworkout, or BCAAs), but I also have a steady supply of good cough drops at hand.
I try to get in 32oz before lunch, another 32oz by 5pm, and 26oz+ before sleepy time.
Follow a diet. No cheat meals or alcohol. I'm focused on getting 100+ grams of protein a day (macro balancing and calorie deficit are secondary but seem to be happening naturally). I've also cut out chocolate (this is how I know I mean business), sugary drinks, gluten, and microwavable mac n' cheese type meals.
This is really forcing me to get my act together when it comes to planning/prepping. No more going to the coffee stand for a burrito and red bull before work. I have to either cook breakfast or nom on a protein bar. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and at least 2 snacks all have to be protein-centric for me to meet my goal. It's wild to think of how little protein I must have been getting. But now I'm full, and then I'm hungry! There's no middle ground of kinda-hungry filled with chips and milk teas. All this meal prepping and forcing myself to eat well for 75 days will probably be one of the most beneficial things I've ever done for myself.
Tangentially, cutting out chocolate meant cutting out my herbal calm chocolate supplements I always had at night to help myself wind down. Now I have to get off my phone earlier and stretch/meditate/read to get myself prepped for bed. It's good stuff.
Also, I don't drink alcohol, so there's no challenge for me there.
Overall: I'm so glad I'm doing this. This is helping me live my life the way I actually want to live it. I'm developing daily discipline and gaining insights into myself. I've lost 6lbs, my clothes fit better, and I can navigate terrain more easily. I'm enjoying trails in my free time. I was wishy-washy about my goals when I tried 75 Soft a couple months ago, and so didn't stick with them. With 75 Hard, my commitment is unquestionable. This is what my life looks like for the next 56 days. Afterward, I'll take what I like and ditch anything I don't.
If you're considering 75 Hard yourself, do make a game plan. Figure out what your diet is going to be and shop for it. Know how you'll track your water. Schedule a week or two of workouts that help you fulfill a goal (finding out what's fun for you, increasing strength/flexibility/speed, getting outside, hanging out with someone, whatever). Get a book. Give yourself this Day 0 to set yourself up for success.
Then START :D
