dennis has needs, and those needs are to 1) be at the highest vantage point possible at all times while 2) maintaining constant contact with his favourite human, billy (you’re a second runner up). this peculiar and, unfortunately for billy, inconvenient position allows for both of dennis’s most pressing needs to be simultaneously met at all times.

💧:He has many scars on his body from many things, s*lf harm, biting himself, scratches or marks from other things

💧: He has lots of night terrors, and sometimes wets the bed from them and frequently does so when the terrors come back.(Which is actually canon too/srs)

💧:He does canonically has Schizoid affective disorder, but doesn't take meds for it because he hasn't been able to seek or get proper help

💧:He has autism, and his main icks to things are shouting, flashing lights, and bad clothing textures

💧:He bites his fingers when his bored or nervous, leaving teeth marks all over them

💧:Has trust issues, and isolates himself a lot but is extremely touch/affection starved

💧:I feel like he's been in a bad relationship or two, since it seems he's constantly surrounded by toxic people his whole life

💧: He's been masking for years, and is rarely able to express himself correctly

💧:He also had an abusive father, and when he has his episodes he constantly remembers him

💧: He's lost hair before from stress, thankfully it regrows back easily but he also rarely takes care of it

💧:Talking about hygiene, his hygiene is horrible. He can go weeks or months on end without cleaning himself, and has rashes because of it, and his skin complexion is not the best

💧:He has fleas, definitely has fleas

💧:He smells like dirty pond water, balsamic vinegar, and fermented BO

💧:He needs a bath badly

💧:Was bullied alot when he was younger, even by his own brother and his friends

💧:His clothes nearly always irritate him, there always so baggy and they make his skin absolutely crawl

💧:He tends to go nonverbal alot of the time due to everyday being so overstimulating for him

💧: He has insomnia, and has gone many nights without sleep

💧:Also I know he can do some awesome parkour, in the show man's hopped of a building down to crates like it was nothing

💧:Idk but I have a feeling Jimmy has hit him before, like he still cares about him and all cause y'know brothers, but there's just one occasion where Jimmy's temper is worser than usual and he just snaps. Jimmy dore try his best to apologize after, but nonetheless Billy gets put up with alot.

‼️This is going purely off the few character trailers and gameplay clips there are for Billy so I may not get everything right!‼️

•Billy would love to show off to a shy s/o any chance he gets! He thinks it makes him look cooler to you (he ends up forgetting to reload and jumps into fights without ammo, or misses all his shots because he’s too busy looking at you LMAO)

•LOVES to show you off (much to your dismay) in more of a “Look at my s/o! Aren’t they so pretty/handsome!” Way. Definitely tries to build up your confidence a bit but he won’t force it

•Date nights with him would probably consist mostly of cuddling up on the couch/bed, binging shows (mostly starlight knight) at each others homes or going to eat in a secluded part of the city.

•Billy is DEFINITELY going to struggle picking up on behavioral cues from you, he may not be able to tell straight away when something’s wrong so communication is extremely important for him! You’d have to speak up about any issues you have with him or he’s gonna be clueless until it hits him in the face.

•As for physical affection, he LOVES holding you/having some sort of physical contact with you most of the time. Whether it’s a hug, hand holding, cuddling, as long as he’s close to you he’s content. He’s a bit down about his lack of lips in a relationship which means he can’t really kiss you, but alternatively he’ll (gently) touch the lower part of his faceplate/visor to your skin in his own little form of kissing<3

•If you’re not comfortable with PDA that’s okay!!! He respects that, but every once in a while he’ll lightly brush his hand against yours when no one’s looking

•THE TEASING!! He will tease you a bit for your shyness (playfully ofc) if he ever goes too far with his teasing he’s quick to apologize and bring you your favorite snacks/drink :)

Random DC/DP headcannons bc I can't sleep

Expect many typos

Danny hates storms, especially thunderstorms bc of the lighting cracking in the sky

Danny wears a power cuff like a bracelet that dampens his more violent powers bc he's scared of them (wail, large-scale ice like with undergrowth etc)

In one of his magazines, instead of bullets Jason keeps solid ectoplasm just in case, and so it's not conspicous

In his Phantom form Danny has a streak of black hair where his white usually is

Jason is fright knight (unless it's a Jason-Danny biologically related fic. Ghost Zone law says no one you share blood with (clones included) can become fright knight (but they can join the court and have other ranks))

Danny made a contingency plan against himself and with the help of a sibling (Cass most likely, though she did seem a bit sad) got it on the bat-computer. Password protected so Danny can't get into it. Bruce doesn't know and won't know until/if Danny goes bad. Bruce made a separate one for him.

Tim gets low and non-harmfil doses of ectoplasm in his coffee bc it is like a shit ton of caffeine for a living person. (Yes, some Amity Park drinks have ectoplasm in them too)

Danny made a patrol playlist for every member of the bat family and beyond bc he has one for when he goes out as Phantom (they all listen to their playlists and love them)

Before Danny was fully pulled into the family, he'd flinch at Dick's escrima sticks and still catches himself staring the weapon, his heart pounding

Danny found out Captain Marvel was a kid bc while on a mission with him, Captain Marvel pointed out that there was a pirate ship hovering above them and that Danny should probably deal with that. He'd, and any other Amity Parker that overhead, never laughed so badly in his entire life. Billy was never so scared & confused.

Bart and Danny are friends bc Dan had leveled most of the future before the Beatles took over what was left (I'm actually not that sure about Bart's backstory so feel free to correct me if something's wrong here)

Cass and Danny have staring contests alot. Sometimes the others think they've fallen asleep with their eyes open. They didn't.

Danny had a Twitter account for Phantom without Bruce knowing, but when Steph was trying to convince Bruce to let her have one she mentioned it and Danny had to delete it (he has an alt he now posts every embarrassing thing Batman does and has ever done)

What's a notfic?

So, this was really common in fandom like 10 years ago but it's less common now so I'm just including this quick explanation in case. Notfic/Not!Fic is the halfway point between an actual fic and a prompt. It mostly sort of has the tone of describing another fic to somebody, or working out an ongoing plot with a friend (e.g. Instead of writing out an entire set of dialogue, a notfic might just put "Jason and Tim discuss why they both want to fake their deaths").

Artist Steve who likes to draw monster and ends up seeking them out so he can capture them right. He almost dies a bunch of times but he always wins them over with his compliments and his skills. He is so well liked by the monsters that some of them sniff him out from time to time.

He sits sketching for hours in a hydras lair, sees it slay a few knights and captures that too. He nearly gets barbecued by a dragon who thinks he came to steal from it but he drops his sketch book while running and then instead gets dragged to its hoard so he can capture it with all its beautiful treasure. The siren that caught him sketching mermaids and decides to pose for him instead of making him a meal.

He sketches a fay form outside of their circle as it tries to trick him into coming through to his realm to stay, he knows better than to fall for that. The Valkyrie he meets on the battle field who poses with her worthy warriors all of them excited for Valhalla. The eldritch horror that keeps putting out the one candle it allowed him because it has a habit of blowing and making spooky noises because that is how it usually interacts with humans before dragging them into its inky dark depths. Steve lights it again with tentacles creeping over him, that shoot back into the shadows like they are allergic to light and he picks up where he left off.

The ogre raising a nymph who both pose for Steve and then spend a week trying to convince him to move in. The werewolf who follows him around like a puppy wagging his tail when Steve plays fetch with him for a few hours wearing him out and then sketching him while he chews on the fresh meal he caught. The satyr who serenades him whenever they cross paths.

Then there is the vampire who tracks Steve down all “I hear you like sketching monsters I’ll make you a deal.” Who gets more than a fresh meal and his portrait out of Steve. Who tracks Steve down months later and ends up fighting another vampire over him because no way is he letting anyone else have his boy’s blood.  Fucks Steve in the mess from the fight as he growls about not letting other vampires touch him, about how he shouldn’t be sketching other vampires at all. Steve will not give up on sketching others, there are different species after all and so far he has only managed to sketch three of them but he does agree to not giving his blood to others as he sketches Eddie with a broken bit of charcoal in the moonlight.

The minotaur that offers him the freshest reddest tomatoes each day he’s in the labyrinth capturing all the different creatures. Who goes all sky and bashful when Steve tells him to not move, the way his fur is catching the sun is stunning.  Billy at the end of Steve’s time there decides he is going to join him on his adventure. He is more than a little in love with the man who made him see himself as beautiful like he did before he was cursed to this form and not just a horrid creature like other humans before him.

The minotaur and the vampire butt heads when they first meet given their affinity for Steve. They grow on each other and soon enough Steve finds himself not so much caught but kept between them between sketches. The two of them make it clear to the other monsters that despite Steve’s flateries and interest in their different skills and features he is very much taken.

No I will not give up the hc that minotaur Billy grows tomatoes in the labyrinth.

Ah angst hc+plot bunny time

C.C. and his brother Ebenezer greatly resemble one another, even if E is older. When Billy turns to Cap, he looks just like his father. But he was very little when parents died, so as far as he knows he only looks like his uncle. Now add a nosy Batman and a reverse identity reveal.

Also lots of abrupt awkward stops and starts if that specifically bothers anyone.

E was never a great uncle, he wasn’t even halfway decent. If he was Billy would had never run away(or so that’s what Billy tells himself, ignoring the distinct memories of his heavy handed uncle screaming at him from the other side of his locked front door on a cold winter night, telling him to leave and if he ever came back he’d kill him.)

Imagine how startled and sick he felt when he caught his reflection after becoming Marvel and saw the spitting image of his uncle.

That’s why Billy spent years building his persona, always striving to be the inverse of his uncle to the little kids that would run up to him to be saved and rescued. Smiling big and wide, speaking to them softly when they were afraid, being the adult he never had in his life and never ever letting himself get angry when he was near one. (No matter how much some situations made him feel the sin of wrath sing it’s sirens call. It’s why when it came to the father of one Bobby Bronsky- well it was handled without the other boy’s knowledge. Intimating someone to behave isn’t something he’s fond of and he’d never forgive himself if he scared Bobby.)

One day after a league meeting Batman asks for Marvel to come meet with him for a word. Billy get heckled by the heroes that sat nearest to him about being in the dog house.

He’s expecting Batman to go over his recent fumbles in the field, he did get thrown through a skyscraper a few days ago.

It comes as a shock to Billy when Batman begins set down printed out images from a file, laying out picture after picture of someone who he thought was his uncle E for a moment- but wait? His uncle was smiling? He didn’t know uncle E could do that.

“I don’t understand what I’m looking at,” he tells Batman, stunned and honest.

Terror rakes it’s icy nails moments later as it occurs to him that Batman knows, Batman knows…

He expects yelling, expects to be kicked out of the league. He expects vehement and heartbreaking rejection over lying to the league about his age, he-

His eyes catch on a photo, a family portrait. His uncle, a woman, and two very very little kids. A girl and a boy the same age, maybe three, maybe younger? His confusion grows… his uncle doesn’t have-

What he doesn’t expect is the dark knight to sigh, voice modulator making the human sound unnatural and unpleasant.

Wisdom of Solomon catches ticks and tells, the way his stiff cowl lifts and moves with the expression of his brow or the micro expressions of the corners of his eyes and lips.

There is no dishonesty or hidden truths when his gift of wisdom has absorbed all it could from the individuals around him. (He likely knows his coworkers better than they know themselves.)

Batman is far from angry, the terror of being so close to a potential mad adult ebbs as quickly as it came and the other hero’s… sadness and grief.

He’s looking at Marvel like Billy’s social workers used to look at him before he ran off that final time. Like he’s something to be pitied. (Billy hates it.)

Billy glances back to the family photo. He doesn’t understand it, it doesn’t make any sense.

Batman notices his fixed gaze and slides the picture closer.

“Does anyone in this photograph look familiar to you?”

“I- I’m not sure.” He lies, eyes fixed on his uncle in the portrait.

“I thought this might be the case. Now, Marvel, can you tell me the name of the man that’s in every one of these photos?”

Batman begins place the photos with the best face shots forward to Billy.

“Eb-Ebenezer?” Billy said uncertainly.

Just saying that man’s name…

“This man isn’t Ebenezer Batson,” Batman says gently. “But it is good that you seem to at least be aware of him.”

“This man is Clarence Charles Batson. I can’t say it comes as a surprise you mistook him for Ebenezer. The resemblance between you and your brother is striking, I thought he was you for a few hours after I discovered him. It became quickly apparently this wasn’t so.”

“What- I don’t-” He stands abruptly. “I don’t have a brother. I don’t understand, what kind of sick joke is this?”

Batman doesn’t move, he just continues gently.

“Marvel, please listen, its okay. I know you don’t understand but I couldn’t sit on this when I came to the conclusion you weren’t aware of your own identity. Your real name is C.C. Batson.”

“What?” He gasps out, panicked. That’s his dad’s name, what’s going on?

He glances back down at the family photo.

Billy’s brain finally catches up with the rest of him and several realizations happen at once but only one shakes him to his core.

It never occurred to Billy he looked like his father, because, as Marvel, when he looked in the mirror, all he saw was his angry, mean, drunk of an uncle.

Every thing he never wanted to be.

Tired so I'm gonna do random hcs of how I think certain characters would react to a beastman reader going into heat (this isn't based on my oc noooooooo/liar)

Gender Neutral Reader!

Warnings: Heat (ofc), mentions of; breeding, knotting, toys, and pregnancy, possible ooc because the game isn't out yet

Honestly he gives me the vibes of like, not fully understanding what's happening.

Like he's gonna notice the way you're acting right away, but he won't understand why you're acting that way. If you try to hide the fact that you're in heat, it's only gonna make him worry. When, not if, you do tell him, he'll be relieved.

Honest to god he would already have blankets and pillows out to help you with making a nest if you do that during your heat, would definitely give you his jacket for a few days.

Since he's a human don't expect him to go for too many rounds, you might overestimulate the poor boy. But he tries his best to satisfy you, and also have the best toys to use on you when he needs a break.

All in all he may need a little help with how read the tell tale signs, but after some time he'll become a master at noticing when you're about to go into heat.

Don't be surprised if all the blankets and pillows are Starlight Knight themed. Though he won't ever give you his Starlight Knight clothes, he will gladly give you the jacket he typically wears! Just don't stain it too much, poor boy's machinery may malfunction due to him being flustered.

Since he's a cyborg he definitely has enhanced stamina and strength thanks to his cybernetics. Which means he can go for as long as you need him to, though be cautious and make sure to tell him to slow down when needed. Otherwise he may go on longer than you can.

He tries his best in the end, and while he may be oblivious in the beginning, he definitely is serious when it comes to making sure you're comfortable during your heat. After all, he is your Starlight Knight.

While during that time he may be thinking about filling you up with his pups, his main goal is to just make sure you're satisfied and comfortable during your heat. He can talk about his wants for a family at a later time, when you're both not running on animal instinct to mate.

Oh boy. Okay so...yeah he's gonna know before you do. He can smell it for heavens sake, so he would make preparations before you even get a hint of if coming.

Honestly he may even just have a special room if you have heats at a higher frequency. It would be filled to the brim with high quality materials and everything would be scented by him regularly just in case he can't be by your side because of work.

Though usually if you're in heat, the smell of it may trigger his rut. Which leads to him having to take time off work just so he stays by your side.

Thoughts on the Eastern church?

Well...

thanks to a certain paralogue, we know what some people of the Alliance think mercenaries are used for :

Lorenz here is describing the job Knights should have (at least the knights from Faerghus and the Church do), but says mercenaries were hired for that job.

So, in the Alliance, at least for Nopes, it's perfectly acceptable for a noble to rely on hired swords, aka people who are in for the money, than to rely on a permanent force of knights.

And it's the same thing with the Eastern Church, they have no knights - and pride themselves on not having any permanent "military" force - and rely on a local noble (Nilsson? I forgot)'s troops to protect them when things are going wrong...

Except when that local nobles doesn't send them his knights, so they have to cry at the Central Church to please send the Knights of Seiros to help them protect their cities/people.

Bar their hypocrisy, there is also the... lack of presence in everyday/general Alliance/Federation life, like, in Nopes, apparently, no one in the Federation gives a fuck that their King wants to slaughter the Archbishop for "reasons" and no one seems to have any attachment to the Central Church or the Church in general, FE16 Lorenz reminds Billy that in the Alliance, Nobles only pay lip service to the Church.

So... what is their role? They're not spreading the faith or even making sure the randoms who parrot it get the right "version" of said faith, they do not protect their people/the faithful, and no one apparently gives a fuck about the Church of Seiros in the Alliance (if siding with the Empire and killing its Archbishop is any indication)...

At least they didn't try to kill the Archbishop and aren't as xenophobic as the Western Church members, so they won on that level.

Bar that, they're a pretty much souless organisation - even with Fodlan's standards that doesn't bother giving a fig about its own worldbuilding or lore/world elements : but I think we get a pretty picture in GW, when apparently the Bishop of the Eastern Church wanted to, uh, celebrate Clout's coronation to "ease the people" - who are later revealed not to give a fuck about the CoS - so what was even the point?

Is he representing his entire Church Branch, doing something useless, rather, pretending to have some importance when he has none? And banking on said "pretend importance" to have a sway on the new leader of the country? IDK.

The Eastern Church doesn't have anything meaningful to write about - bar, again, their hypocrisy - but imo, and maybe it's more hc than canon at that point, the Eastern Church is a church branch that forgot why it exists or what is its purpose (spread the faith or at least make sure it's not deliberatly misinterpreted/used by people who dgaf about it, provide relief/support/help to people, etc).
