"Let's play a game of 'How well do you know your kids?'" The being shouted, eyebrow still twitching from Robins latest remark.
"I know all my children perfectly." Batman growled at the entity. He held his ground as the spirits (demons?) smile sharpened, "Than you won't mind!"
A puff of purple glowy smoke engulfs then entire area and the next thing anyone knows is that all of Bruces children, even the ones who weren't with them previously, are locked inside magical cages while Batman is trapped in a invisible mime box with a podium and a microphone in what is quite possibly the most garish game show set up ever.
Why was everything neon green and purple? Why was the guy neon green and purple? Who were these other kids-gdi Bruce! You have more kids?
Danny could just transform and beat up the ghost. Its a pretty weak one after all. But this one doesn't seem to recognize him as a halfa and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do his homework without being attacked.
Jason stared at the kid next to him. What kinda life did this kid have to calmly get out his math homework and start solving problems while being held hostage by an unknown entity?! And with the bats no less?!
All the while Batman is getting peppered with questions about his kids and is realizing he doesn't recognize a few of the names.

Imagine the batkids accidentally kidnapping Danny. Like they see some black haired kid passed out by the bat mobile after patrol and they just stick him in the car without checking bc hey that’s probably one of the batkids and they’re in a hurry. They do a headcount and just completely gloss over him bc one of them is out doing something else (probably red hood) and they completely forgot. Literally no one realizes until Danny wakes up in the batcave and is like whaaaaaat the actual fuck. Just completely ridiculous hijinks
Or if you want to make it angsty, you can set it after Jason died but before Tim became Robin. Bruce, in a rush, hasn’t gotten used to one less number and Dick, who regularly hallucinates his brother (that’s a thing in the comics) doesn’t question it

A DP X DC AU fic premise I desperately want to read but do not currently possess the spoons to write myself. So if anyone wants to run with it, credit and tag me, but go for it.
.
.
Ra's Al Ghul needs an heir.
A good strong one.
But just one.
After all, he is smart enough to know that a power struggle between heirs could ruin what he has spent centuries building.
So when his daughter delivers not one, but two, he does what any Loving Grandfather would.
He has them both trained for 6 years.
And when it is time for their first blood, he orders they fight to the death.
Only the best shall survive to become his heir.
.
Despite her faults, Talia Al Ghul loves her sons.
Not more than her father, but very nearly as much.
So while her Father and the League are preoccupied welcoming the Victorious, she sneaks back to mourn the Defeated.
Only to find him clinging to life. Just barely, but still so. His brother's mark just barely missing the heart.
So she does what any Devoted Assassin would do.
She tells her Father that she will dispose of the body such that it can never be found or used against them.
Then she gives her son a quick bath and secrets him away to an orphanage in the middle of nowhere, Illinois.
.
Damien Al Ghul killed his twin.
His other half.
His better half.
For all that Damien held himself above all others, he knew that Danyal had been the better twin. Faster, stronger, smarter, more precise, more accurate.
Damien had rarely failed Grandfather, but Danyal had only failed him once.
When Grandfather had ordered their deathmatch; when Danyal had stood over Damien victorious, only needing to deliver the killing blow; Danyal had hesitated.
Damien did not.
At 6 years old, Damien made his first kill, for the favor of a man he has since renounced.
Damien Al Ghul murdered his twin.
It is a truth ingrained in his being. A guilt he bears silently. And a piece of himself that Father must never, ever know.
.
Daniel James Fenton has no recollection of his life before the orphanage.
Jazz has mumbled before something about "heavily repressed childhood trauma." For once, Danny is inclined to agree. Whatever might have happened before the orphanage, Danny believes he is better not remembering.
So when something manages to trigger his fight or flight response -a feat which itself strangely takes very dire circumstances, no simple jumpscare or everyday bullying will do- and Danny finds himself jumping into a perfect, practiced fighting stance; he shrugs it off, pretending it must be those self defense lessons with mom.
And when, once in a blue moon, Danny finds himself turning to say something or gesture something or help the empty space beside him.
When the image flashes in his mind of his own face with emerald eyes occupying that emptiness.
Danny blinks and shakes his head, heart clenching (or perhaps the space just next to it aching) for just a moment, before the distant echo of a painful memory slips back out of his mind.

Note
"give me a fandom and a prompt and i'll give you at least five sentences"
Ok then.
Jazz, Danny and Bruce are in the same age range, and Bruce has been harboring a massive crush on 7'foot tall Jazz since just after he began his training journey.
His kids know about and are mercyless. Danny thinks he's a bit of a fruit loop and 100% knows Bruce has a crush on his sister.
Into the future his coworkers find out that batman has been quietly pining after the Ghost Kings sister for years.
Chaos.
love that this reads as a challenge. Ok then. Write it. i will, let's goooo!
(sorry i kinda took it so that Jazz, Danny, and Bruce were all old friends but in that horrible adult way where you can only hang out with each other once in a blue moon when your work schedules miraculously align)
——
"Respectfully, Batman, you can take your "it's not necessary" and you can shove it up your arse. There's a demon the size of a skyscraper heading towards Metropolis and we need reinforcements."
"Superman can—"
"Superman can't. You do remember the part of the report I made telling you this, right? Or did your stubborn little bat brain just shut down when I mentioned magic?"
"Actually," Nightwing interrupts from the side, a shit-eating grin on his face, "I think his brain shut down when you mentioned the Ghost King."
"Nightwing." Batman growls in warning, his jaw clenching so hard Constantine can swear he hears the bones creaking.
Nightwing just snickers, and turns away to press a finger to his ear, no doubt letting the rest of the bat brood in on what's happening here... Whatever that is. All Constantine knows is that Batman is standing between him and fixing this mess for no God-forsaken reason.
Luckily, some of the more reasonable members of the League step in to try and talk some sense into Batman. It gives him some time to calm down.
"Batman. We need him. I know you dislike working with unknowns, but he's our best shot."
It actually looks like Wonder Woman might be getting through to him, Batman even opens his mouth to actually explain some things—a huge step forward for this incredibly emotionally constipated man.
Instead, Nightwing snorts and beats him to it. "Unknowns? More like—"
"Nightwing, please."
"Oh, for Pete's sake, get your head out of your arse and let me do this. The Ghost King is our only hope. I'm summoning him, no matter what you say."
For a long second, Constantine thinks that he'll refuse and he might have to resort to more violent methods of persuasion—which, honestly, Constantine has fantasised about many times during the more boring JL meetings—but eventually, Batman relents and steps out of the way.
"Fine. Nightwing, go check in with Red Robin."
Nightwing has the kind of devious smile that makes John glad he doesn't have kids.
"Oh, don't worry about it, B. Red Robin's coming here. So's Red Hood, I don't need to go anywhere."
"Nightwing—"
"Sh, it's starting." So saying, Nightwing then very obviously ignores Batman's protests with a poker face that even Constantine envies. What he wouldn't give to be able to shut the bat out like that.
The summoning goes quickly, thankfully. The lights flicker, the temperature drops, and the chalk circle erupts in green flames. Standard summoning practices, sure. Even the impromptu appearance of Red Hood and Red Robin—"Did we miss him?", "No, not yet! I got 2:37, what about you guys?"—doesn't throw him off.
It does pique his interest, though. Just what the hell is going on with them? Constantine's weighing up the pros and cons of asking them once all of this is over when the ground splits open and the clawed hand of the Ghost King begins to pull himself out of the ground.
John's a seasoned summoner. It's practically his job, he's done it countless times.
The icey fear that grips his heart, that freezes his breath in his chest, is new.
Pure, unadulterated power floods the area and he feels small, so, so small, like a child playing with things he doesn't understand. When he finally tears his eyes away from the portal, he catches a glimpse of the other magic users in the room, the same horror he feels clear in their faces. Even Captain Marvel stares slackjawed.
The pressure rises, death magic screaming in his ears, almost forcing him to his knees, and suddenly he's not so sure this is a good idea.
Too late to back out now, though.
Sickly green light pours from the crack in the ground, growing brighter and brighter as the giant figure rises, until Constantine has to close his eyes and look away. The last thing he sees are eyes, teeth, horns, a crown so bright that it burns an afterimage into his retinas.
When the light dies down and he opens his eyes again, a humanoid man floats in the centre of the circle. The ground is whole, nothing is burning, the man doesn't even have a crown. Instead, other than the wispy white hair, slightly green skin, and the—you know—floating, the Ghost King appears pretty normal. Huh.
Constantine blinks, rubbing his bleary eyes, and checks around to make sure everyone's okay. Most of the League are doing the same as him, taking fortifying breaths and trying to appear as if they've not just been completely blinded.
Most of them, that is, aside from the Gotham vigilantes.
Batman himself stands upright, arms crossed, looking completely unbothered by the whole thing and John's got to admit, he wishes he could do that, too. That was... a hell of a show.
The others, however, are waving frantically with huge smiles on their faces.
What?
There's a brief, taut silence, as everyone else tries to catch their breath.
As much as he would rather take a bit of a breather, John should probably start making introductions. Unfortunately, he only gets as far as opening his mouth before the Ghost King beats him to it.
"Oh, Ancients, hey guys! It's been forever, how are you? Look at you all, so grown up, wow—Nightwing, buddy, do a flip!"
It doesn't take much to get Nightwing going, and he certainly doesn't leave it at one flip. The whole of the Justice League and Justice League Dark watch with open mouths as Nightwing performs for the Ghost King.
What, and John can't stress this enough, the fuck?
As soon as Nightwing rights himself, Red Hood swats him across the back of the head and calls him a show off.
The Ghost King just laughs as he claps. "There's my little monkey, look at you go! And I'm loving that leather jacket, Hood, is that new? Looks good on you, really your colour. Brings out the red in your helmet."
"Thanks, Uncle D. At least someone around here appreciates fashion."
"Are you kidding me, you know I breathe fashion, need I remind—"
"Need I remind you of the Discowing incident?"
"That was era-appropriate and you know it! Uncle D, tell him it was era-appropriate!"
"It was era-appropriate, but so are crocs and it doesn't make them fashionable." The Ghost King—and holy shit, is this actually the Ghost King? Or did Constantine just accidentally summon a deceased family member, what the fuck is happening here?—turns to look at Red Robin with a smile, resolutely ignorning the argument he created. "How you doing, Double R? You get that tablet Tucker made for you?"
"Yes, thank you! It's so cool, how did he—"
"How's Tucker doing?" Batman interrupts, his hands now hidden underneath his cape.
As soon as the question leaves his lips, everyone groans. Red Robin makes a show of lifting up his wrist and staring at it intently.
"Incredible," Red Hood mutters with a shake of his head.
Even the Ghost King seems put out, rolling his eyes and answering in a flat tone as if he knows Batman isn't interested in what he has to say.
Not for the first time, Constantine feels like he's missing something.
"Tucker's doing very well, thank you for asking."
What follows is the most awkward silence Constantine has ever had the pleasure to be a part of.
All three of the Gotham vigilantes, including the Ghost King, are staring at Batman, waiting for something. Batman's cloak shifts as if he's moving his hands, fidgeting. If Constantine didn't know any better, he'd say he was nervous.
"Good. That's good, I'm glad to hear it."
Instead of saying anything else, the Ghost King just raises his eyebrows and continues to stare at Batman. Has he offended him in some way? Are they all going to die because of this?
After what seems like an agonising few minutes but could only really be a few seconds, Batman's shoulders dip and he takes a breath. "And Jazz?"
They all erupt into shouts, the Ghost King being the loudest. The only thing John can make out is when the Ghost King throws his hand in the air to point at Red Robin with a shout of "Time!"
"1:30.91, we got 1:30.91 on the clock, who's closest?"
"Did you even try to hold it in at all, old man? I'm so disappointed in you. People think you're cool. People think you're suave, I don't understand how they could be so wrong."
"Thank you for that, Hood."
"No, thank you, I won. Again. Because you're so predictable. Actually, I had one minute seventeen, so you held out longer than I thought you would."
Batman pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs loudly.
Constantine feels like doing the same thing.
Whatever. He's going to have to interrupt... whatever this is. There's still a rampaging demon heading their way that they've got to bargain for. He can untangle Batman's personal connection to the Ghost King later. Or he could leave it alone and forget everything about it.
Yeah, he'll do that one.
But before he can actually open his mouth to say anything, the Ghost King, again, beats him to it.
"So, B-Man, did you summon me here for a particular reason, or was it really just so you could ask about Jazz?"
There's a beat of silence before Batman mutters, "I asked about Tucker, too. We've not seen each other in so long, it's only polite."
"And I'm sure you meant it, you're the paragon of manners." The Ghost King nods slow and wide-eyed as if he doesn't believe him at all.
At this point, even Constantine doesn't believe him.
"It has been forever, though." The Ghost King muses, bringing his hand to his chin and folding his legs underneath him. "We should all get together sometime! If you get Alfie to make some of his cookies again, I'll get Clockwork to lend us a pocket dimension where we can spend as much time as we want, deal?"
"It's a deal."
No hesitation at all, incredible.
Hold on. Wait. John has to fight the urge to pinch himself, because this has to be a dream, right? Is Batman actually smiling? He didn't even know he could do that.
An itch niggles at the back of John's mind. He's starting to get an inkling of what's going on here and it's... weird, to say the least.
"Oooh," Nightwing singsongs, like a child in a playground tickled by the very idea of romance.
But then, who's he to judge? John's no stranger to strange bedfellows, that's for sure. Whoever this Jazz is, she must be something incredible—she'd have to be, if Batman can't even go two minutes without asking about her.
"Batman and Jasmine sitting in a tree," Nightwing continues, with both Red Hood and Red Robin joining in for the rest. "K—I—S—S—I—"
"Stop," Batman growls, completely drowned out by the Ghost King's laughter, but...
But.
It all suddenly clicks for John.
The Ghost King Phantom.
Her Royal Highness, Princess Jasmine Phantom.
Jazz.
"Holy shit, mate," John breathes, unable to stop himself as everyone looks his way. "You have the hots for the Princess of the Infinite Realms?"
The Justice League meeting room has never descended into chaos quicker.

Sneak peek at the DP x Batman fic I'm writing. I'm calling it (chapter 1 up now on my profile)
The Phantoms Bat
Summary: Danny has been the ghost king for quit a few years now, technically he was 20, but ghostly he was like 60. As Danny watches his loved ones die he wonders if he’ll ever feel that feeling of love that came with family, luckily a trip through a random ghost portal gives him the feeling again through an orphaned bat.
_______________________________________________
Danny wondered through the ghost zone for what felt like the millionth time, but he still hadn’t explored ever nock and crany the his dimension had to ofer. It was a beautiful place, but maybe Danny was a bit influenced by the fact that he was its king, that didn’t stop him from loving it though.
As he floated absently looking around a portal opened right in front of him almost a if it was waiting for him. When the portal fully opened his core seemed to tug him in the direction of the portal. Never one to question his ghost instincts. He hovered hesitantly in front of the portal.
Approaching it he reached a hand through, he waited only a second to see if clockwork would show up and tell him not to go in, but he didn’t. Reassured that he wasn’t going to mess up and big timeline mambo jumbo Danny floated into the portal. Danny was not expecting to come out standing on a building roof top above an ally way.
The sound of someone crying quikly distracted him. Running over to the edge of the roof top Danny looked down and what he saw felt like it cracked his core. Down in the ally way was a child crouching over two larger forms Danny could only assume were the boys parents. Floating down behind the boy Danny fell to his knees.
The sadness, and ablolute despair the boy was sending out in waves practically broke Danny. “Hey.” Danny spoke in the most comforting voice he had, which he often used with the new ghost children that would manifest in the ghost zone confused and hurt and sad.
The boy wiped his head around Danny was afraid he was going to get whiplash, when Danny spoke.
“Who, who are you?” The boy asked with an obvious tremble in his words. It made Danny’s core and heart ace.
“I’m Danny, who might you be younge man?” Danny asked with a smile while sending waves of calm, and safety at the boy.
The boy sniffled before answering. “Bruce.”
“Thats a very nice name, now Bruce could you tell me what happened?” He asked with as much reasherence as possible, he did not want the boy to think he was going to hurt him, Danny would never hurt a child (not when they all reminded him of the child he wish he could’ve had)
“Someone shot mommy and daddy. We were just leaving the theater when a man attacked us.” Bruce sniffled before continuing. “He, he killed them.” He said with a sob.
Danny couldn’t hold back anymore. He floated over to Bruce quickly and scooped the child into his lap and hugged him. That seemed to be the hit that broke the dam as Bruce started ugly sobbing, Danny didn’t mind the small wet spot that started form on the front of his suit.
“Shuh, shuh, its okay no one’s going to hurt you now, you’re safe with me.” Danny reassured Bruce. The only response that Danny got was a small nod from Bruce.
As Bruce’s sobs turned to small sniffles Danny felt his breath even out. Looking down at Bruce he saw that he had fallen asleep. Danny’s core warmed in content at such a display of trust so quikly. At the sound of approaching sirens Danny turned invisible and floated up to the roof top that he first appeared on.
However, now he was in a predicament, Where did Bruce and his parents live? Looking down at the streets Danny saw a newspaper stand new by. Flying over to it in hopes of clues Danny was greeted with the image of the boy and his parents on the front page. Apparently they were the wayne family.
Looking at the description Danny instantly new they were very rich, so he just had to look for possibly the biggest house in the city, and he would drop Bruce off at home. A home that would now be empty.
Should I continue this or no???

The dead son of Batman
Imagine a JL disaster situation, several heroes are already reported missing or presumed dead, the last one apparently is Batman..
and that annoys his children, especially the last one I adopted...
yep, Phantom enters all ballistic and King of the Dead mode at 100% (gigantic, that the mere presence of him is enough to instill terror in anyone)...
he ends up defeating the bad guy in turn and leaving a wasteland of destruction...
but surprise, surprise, Batman comes out in the middle of the rubble, He's alive!...
And Danny just goes back to normal and goes flying to hug him while he screams "Dad!"...
but surprise, everything that happened ends up recorded in the international news....
And what do you say:
how would the world react?

Imagine if the GIW started gunning for Jason without the Batfam ever meeting Phantom. Like, Bruce has to figure out on his own that the guys in white suits with Lazarus guns are 1. a legitimate government agency, and 2. are perfectly within their rights to hunt Jason like an animal, because 3. there's secret government legislation that says that since Jason's body processes ectaplasm, he's classified as non-sapient and has no legal protections.
Bruce calling up Clark like
Bruce: I am currently in the process of breaking into a government facility in order to dismantle their operations.
Clark: Okay? Do you need... help?
Bruce: Yes.
Clark: Sure, I'll be right there.
Bruce: Not that kind of help. Oracle is sending you the files now. I'd like you and Ms. Lane to make these people wish they were never born.
Clark: [speed-reading the documents] Oh yeah, can do. This is truly disgusting. If the public is half as outraged as I am, we'll get this sorted as fast as the courts can manage.
So Clark Kent acts as a whistle-blower, the Justice League publicly condems the Anti-Ecto Acts as inhumane, the GIW is disbanded, and Batman gets pardoned for all of those crimes that he technically did by assaulting federal agents. And after all that gets sorted, some white haired kid pops up in the Watchtower like "haha thanks for that I really didn't want a war between Earth and the Infinite Realms" and the League are like "wait what"

What if the Justice League thought Phantom was Jason’s ghost? Jason died fairly young, fifteen or sixteen, which isn’t much older than Danny is at the start of the show. And while Danny ages (in most fics anyway), Bruce has no reason to believe that ghosts age. So if he met Danny a year or two into being Phantom, he’d be the same age Jason was when he died.
Jason’s death in the comics was a huge deal. It wasn’t like other comic deaths where they die and come back within the year. Five years passed between a death in the family, and Red Hood’s debut. As far as comics go, Jason Todd’s death was seemingly as permanent as they come. To Batman and the rest of the justice league, Jason stayed dead all those years. His death had to affect the entire team’s interactions with the Young Justice team. It absolutely affected the kids in the batfam.
So if any of them ran into Phantom, a dead vigilante in the right age range, their thoughts would immediately jump to Jason. It would be a difficult idea to dissuade, especially if they’re under the impression that ghosts don’t always remember their lives. The living don’t know Danny’s secret and the ghosts won’t tell. Some of them might even help spread the rumor further. It’s a good alabi and a lot of Danny’s rogues like him enough to cause some good natured chaos. That Danny gets jumpy around anything ghost or circus related because of Freakshow definitely wouldn’t help
Hell, Amity Parkers might also theorize that Phantom is the ghost of the second Robin. I could see Paulina starting that theory, since it does sound sort of romantic in its own way. Others would pick it up, because it does make a lot of sense. Danny’s protection obsession could very easily read as a kid who died protecting people, and then continued after he died.
If a lot of Amity Parkers have that theory though, I imagine after the Pariah Dark incident they’d come to hate the Justice League and especially Batman. In their eyes, the poor kid died for the cause and the league couldn’t even be bothered to help him in death. Phantom’s concerning remarks about his parents would definitely add flame to that fire. Batman especially is hated amongst Phantom’s supporters
Basically, imagine the Justice League meeting Phantom just before Jason comes back as Red Hood. Imagine them having to deal with a town that despises them, and the literal ghost of (they think) Batman’s greatest failure. Imagine them trying and failing to get Phantom to remember and past life that isn’t even his, not understanding that this boy was failed in a completely different way than Jason was.
And all the while, Jason begins moving his chess pieces. The Red Hood makes his debut and Batman isn’t in Gotham to stop him

I love the idea of Danny being just Some Guy.
Like yes he’s Phantom, yes he has ghost powers, yes he’s the King of the Infinite Realms. But to the BatFam? That is just Some Guy. A random dude - if you will.
They are positively baffled by him. Like he’s completely normal as far as they (and the background check) can see. Yet, he. Is. EVERYWHERE. (Not actually but it sure feels like it.)
The kids have a running bingo card of where he’ll turn up. Outside a warehouse they’re raiding? Check. Stopped a mugging? He was the one being mugged. Tim’s favorite coffee shop? He was just hired as a barista. Seriously it’s like everytime they turn around he’s there.
Which wouldn’t be such a problem if he REACTED NORMALLY. But no. He doesn’t flee in fear, stare in awe, he doesn’t even try to say thank you. This man looked Batman in the eye and called him the furry vigilante - TO HIS FACE! He casually referred to Dick as “the flying monkey one” to Red Robin while also calling Tim a literal walking Red Flag. When he crosses paths with Duke he doesn’t always speak but he does always give him a snack. (Sometimes it’s candy, sometimes it’s fruit but it’s always food. And he only gives them to Duke.)
He once told Jason that he didn’t care that he was a crime lord and built like a brick house, Danny would kick his ass and drag his “rotted milk soul” too hell if the gun fights kept going on past midnight. (He had exams in the morning damnit.)
He will only call Damian “baby ninja” no matter how many times the kid insists that his name is Robin.
Spoiler and Orphan? The only ones he’s respectful to but even they get the occasional random comment. (“It may be a Tuesday, but if the universe is gonna make me the human equivalent of a pin cushion then I have the right to keep the knife.”) (It was actually a Friday but who were they to argue with a man bleeding out in an alley.)
Eventually the Batkids start keeping score of who has had the most out of pocket thing said to them by this random white boy.

i keep seeing fake to real relationship fics where Red Robin is sacrificed to the ghost king
and those are great don’t get me wrong, but why is it always Red Robin??
wouldn’t it — hear me out ok — would it not be infinitely funnier if Timothy Drake-Wayne, CEO of Wayne Enterprises, a son of Gotham’s beloved royal family, social media blue check, was kidnapped and sacrificed instead.
Imagine the panic. The internet catastrophe. The viral posts. The public outcry. Why is the Justice League taking so long to rescue this poor boy??
Then imagine said poor boy finally being rescued. They manage it. They get him back.
And upon his return from what was obviously, no doubt, a traumatizing ordeal of inter dimensional kidnapping, Timothy Drake-Wayne’s first Twitter post is just
“give me back my ghost king boyfriend I miss him : (”
The internet would fucking EXPLODE ok listen, no stop walking away listen to me —

“Who, who are you?” The boy asked with an obvious tremble in his words. It made Danny’s core and heart race.
“I’m Danny, who might you be?” Danny asked with a smile while sending waves of calm, and safety at the boy.
The boy sniffled before answering. “Bruce.”
“That's a very nice name, now Bruce could you tell me what happened?” He asked with as much reasherence as possible, he did not want the boy to think he was going to hurt him, Danny would never hurt a child (not when they all reminded him of the child he wish he could’ve had)
That seemed to be the hit that broke the dam as Bruce started ugly sobbing, Danny didn’t mind the small wet spot that started from on the front of his suit.
“Schuh, schuh, it's okay no one’s going to hurt you now, you’re safe with me.” Danny reassured Bruce. The only response that Danny got was a small nod from Bruce.
As Bruce’s sobs turned to small sniffles Danny felt his breath even out. Looking down at Bruce he saw that he had fallen asleep. Danny’s core warmed in content at such a display of trust so quickly. At the sound of approaching sirens Danny turned invisible and floated up to the rooftop that he first appeared on.
However, now he was in a predicament. Where did Bruce and his parents live? Looking down at the streets Danny saw a newspaper stand by. Flying over to it in hopes of clues Danny was greeted with the image of the boy and his parents on the front page. Apparently they were the Wayne family.
Looking at the description Danny instantly knew they were very rich, so he just had to look for possibly the biggest house in the city, and he would drop Bruce off at home. A home that would now be empty.
_______________________________________________
Danny was not expecting a fucking castle?!! Seriously, why is it so big? And for only like 3 people. (Danny didn’t want to think that someone as small as Bruce was now probably going to be living there possible by himself, no he's too young.)
Phasing through the front of the manor castle he didn't expect to see someone pacing back and forth in the kitchen. Danny thought he heard the man mutter something along the lines of “Where are they.”
Did he really have to tell the families, butler?, that they were dead. Danny did not sign up for this. (Yes you did as soon as you saw Bruce.) Lowering himself Danny stood a few feet away from the man before dropping his invisibility.
“Do you live here?” Why did he ask that of course the guy lives here.
Danny watched as the butler’s eyes widened before they zeroed in on the boy in his arms and narrowed. “What are you doing with the young master?” He asked with cation in his voice.
Looking down at Bruce with  a sad expression Danny answered. “I found him in an alleyway huddled over his parents' dead bodys.”
He wasn’t looking at the butler to see his expression but he did hear a small “No.”
“I’m sorry…” Danny said while looking up at the butler to see he had an expression of disbelief and sadness on his face.
“How do I know you’re telling the truth?” He asked.
Danny hadn't thought of that. He looked at Bruce before looking at the butler. “When Bruce wakes up he can tell you, but let the boy rest. He's just seen his parents die in front of him.”
The butler nodded before straightening his posture. “Well I am Alfred Pennyworth, may I know the name of the young master's savior?”
Ignoring the blush that crept onto his face Danny answered. “My name's Danny, and I’m not Bruce's savior, when I got there he was the only one in the alley way.” The word alive went unsaid.
Alfred nodded before leading Danny up a staircase and into a very large room. Walking over to the bed Danny set Bruce down when Alfred pulled back the covers. Just as he was pulling away Bruce's little hand grabbed onto Danny's sleeve.
“Please…stay…” Bruce mutters grogally from sleep.
Danny looked at Alfred for permission. Alfred nodded with a smile before walking out of the bedroom. Danny smiled, then climbed into the bed with Bruce and hugged the small boy to his chest.
“Thank you.” Bruce muttered before falling fast asleep again.
Smiling Danny whispered. “You’re welcome little star.” before he himself gave into sleep.
