how would jason be as a dad?
Jason Todd - Father Edition
Tumblr media
do i think he will be like anakin/darth vader, despite his writing (mostly) being depicted as DC's tragic fallen sidekick? no
he will probably be incredibly apprehensive the entirety of the pregnancy (if he impregnates someone)
but will read every single parenting book in the gotham library
and he will learn every nook and cranny about various parenting styles
PTO parent
threatens karen w a knife bc she was intimidating/using fear tactics to scare the kids
"why dont u pick on someone ur own size" - jason, at karen, at approximately 8:57pm
reads a book a night to his baby
and doesnt miss a night. ever.
self-identifies as a DILF
(until he gets hit on by women. then he cringes.)
teaches the importance of boundaries, self-respect, and self-defense
yes, hes a karate dad. his kids take karate and he refuses to elaborate further
doesnt understand cocomelon
and bans it from his roof
but loves cookie monster and gonger's food truck adventures
sings lullabies to his babies
but the lullabies are alice in chains or metallica hits
he even bought matching black sabbath shirts for him and his baby
HOME COOKED MEALS FOR HIS KIDS
and those really cool homemade lunch kits you see on pinterest, with the star shaped sandwiches and dinosaur carrots
will literally dropkick anybody who hits on his kid
"they are a fucking child, karen. why are you making comments about 'waiting till he's 18'? what're you gonna do, RISE from the grave and snatch my child? fucking crypt keeper."
"Oh, shit. Did you hear that? This creep wants to hit on my baby, who still shits herself and can barely hold her head up. How about I take you on a date, and show you exactly what I'd do to you if I catch you makin' those comments about her again, hmm?"
doesnt care about being a single dad, and doesnt use his kids as pawns to flirt with others
he trusts duke the most (aside from alfred) with his kids
then tim, then damian, then dick.
"what the fuc- he's 11!1!" - dick, when walking in on damian babysitting jason's child
"yes, and you stick your escrima stick wherever it fits. stay humble." - jason
bruce is the second best grandpa in the world
alfred is the world's best pop-pop
and jason goes to him for parenting advice, or when he's feeling doubtful about himself as a father
and it usually ends up with him in tears and alfred comforting him because he's a better father than he's ever had

SO I finally read the first Unwind book by Neal Shusterman and wowowowow people were not lying it's so genuinely incredible. Like no joke, even if you read this goofy post read the first book. It's not perfect (looking at you 2007 era feminism) but it's haunting my thoughts. I don't think it will ever fade. And you know the one scene. You know.
What I'm saying is, even after reading (and starting the 2nd book) of this very grounded, fleshed out world, I had to look it up on a03. With Jason Todd 💀💀💀
It doesn't seem to exist so here's some AU ideas/HCs
Note: This is for fun, and I do not know the ending to the series. This post will spoil general plot points of the first and second books.
-Bruce is a moderate on unwinding. He would, of course, never unwind HIS kids but he trusts s c i e n c e and it follows logic
-just for fun, maybe the person who killed his parents was an awol unwind, and hes grateful that person was able to live on in a better form
-bruce wayne has great security, and the family is intense about preventing storked babies. But if a mother does try, they usually send at least 1k to help, and a lot of mothers go to his house to get some financial assistance
- dick traveled a lot, met a lot of different people. I think he met a lot of unwinds, and his parents were pro not murdering teens, but they couldn't house them for more than a day or two. The law pays more attention to transient spaces they can track after all
-all of this to say dick loved meeting and showing off to new people, and doesnt like the cops, and doesnt like that they get so scared. His parents/troupe influenced him a lot but no one has really said any of this aloud to him since he's so young. Hes never feared being unwound, not seriously.
-my ideal fic wouldnt be dick focused, so his character progression might be depressing here.
-he thinks unwinding is immoral, says it feels wrong, doesn't use words like soul. He is passionate about this issue when directly confronted, but he believes temporary help is the best he can provide.
-dick feels secure he wont be unwound for two reasons. Bruce knows hes too capable to be detained by cops. And dick knows that bruce couldn't live with himself if he condemned dick to a divided existence, no matter what his logic says.
-Unwinding is a huge blur of grey for batman in chaotic, unpredictable Gotham. For brucie wayne, clinking champagne glasses with a teenager's hands, complimenting an elderly investors washboard abs, unwinding is a fact of life. But for bruce wayne, the father, the son, unwinding would always be a prolonged muder. Bruce does not ponder those feelings deeply. He does all he can (he doesnt)
-Dick doesn't like that they rat on violent runaways/unwinding awols, but he knows they fill in lower gaps as goons. He hates it at first, and bruce does learn to ignore more. But dick learns the dangers of desperation. He meets nore people who agree with unwinding, tithes, and as he grows into larger scale problems/hero teams, he loses sight of the bigger government issue.
-all this to say, as an adult, dick does what all his parents did in a way (money, hidden spots he knows, advice he's picked up on) but his morals match bruces more than his parents. He thinks that tithing is okay if the kid is 17 and consents, understands that religion is personal, despises the state homes doing it the most (bruce has given so much to those leeches).
-i dont know enough about the teen titans to know how theyd feel, how that would impact dick, if he'd even /have/ the entire team or if some became unwound
-oh my god unrelated note clark as a teen, despite being very loved, was glad he was indestructible. Docs dont use kryptonite
-jason jason jason my boy jason. So yes unwind awols are pretty natural to him, working girls, hes against the process bc he knows a lot of families who do that to kids & he gets it
-in this au he could keep the canon backstory. It still hurts bc he especially feels then he was a burden, storked by one of willis' exes. Or he could be fully storked from the jump. His bio dad is dead, shelia is the only one alive. Bruce is more anti-shelia initially bc she storked him but he knows some people do want to see their kids later in life? This also impacts his early social clout, since storks are looked down on. Maybe especially so where he's a 'real' burden.
-hes a lot more intense than dick abt unwinds, is deeply paranoid bruce will unwind him and has to be reassured bruce would never personally do that. Jason doesnt want to use unwind body parts, but bruce will always choose jays life over his 'moral high ground.'
-honestly most of death with the family will feel the same, the main difference is Jay will have a guilty thought, wonder if it would have been better to let bruce unwind him, if robin should have served everyone (bruce did not threaten this, but kids have been unwound for a whole lot less).
- THE CRUX IS THAT JAY WAKES UP WHOLE BRAIN IN NEW BODY HORRIFIED HEHEHEGED
- this au uses the movie version of utrh with talua stuff, but add in that the brain cannot automatically connect to the body, this is very untested, and it takes like a year to make it work at all. No laz pit, the body is a military buff 16 year old but not excessively violent yaknow
-he still loses it bc "oh my god I was unwound, how did this happen? did bruce do it? no no? he couldnt. i died. where am i? talias oh shit - gotta go fast yeet"
- he goes to gotham, doesn't try to kill bruce but does realize how fucked he is. He can barely open doors, has to think constantly to walk. After moping for a while talia finds him, offers to train him, explains he was meant to be a gift. Jay says he doesnt want to go back to bruce, talia fucked him over, she seems guilty so the training still happens, mainly as an urge to finish what she started, and maybe fulfill that initial goal someday
- im the most torn on this bc i think jason would never want to risk being their guinea pig again.
-he does not kill anyone until its a parts pirate. Talia sent him to increasingly pro unwinding people to force his hand for sure. Either to have a reason to cut him off, or to make their moral worldviews align more.
-Jay is def vaguely suicidal, self disgust. So this is punishment for him + scumbags. It also puts the body to a purposeful use, in honor of the kid.
-body dysmorphia duh btw. After this im extra fuzzy on details for jay
- i want him to be part of the anti divisional group, I want him to be a more community driven hero. But is that really in character for him? How would the unwinding world impact his priorities? Would he operate in gothan as the red hood, work as a human trafficker to save those kids?
- this is also the reason I'm not focusing on characters that come after jason much. His impact would need to be felt in some way in the stories, but I dont know where yet
-i think tim is part of a much, much larger family here and he didnt go to a fancy school. In canon his grades are mid, and even tho his parents love him, he has a lot of competition.
- him being robin makes his life a lot harder. Maybe after jack +janet die the gov actually orders most of the kids to be unwound bc state ho budgets etc. The uncle thing is very legitimately needed lmao
- steph storks her baby yes, but now she's able to keep track of their life in a really unhealthy way.
-i don't know enough about babs to know how she'd feel. I think she might be for it, she might even heal her spine with it. But I'm not sold on that fully
-cass is radically anti unwind. She does go to bruce, but honestly in this au she might leave because he does condone it through his inaction
- the justice league must be pro unwinding for conflict in this world to work, and finding out the reasons for that would be so interesting. Hell maybe the justice league wouldn't really be a thing at all, with such clashing morals.
-and idk how unwind ends so no fuckin clue on resolving the conflict AND adding superheroes
Sorry this was so long, and for at least 5 typos. Please steal my ideas and write a better fic than i can ty 😘😘😘
I'll probably end up adding more jason details to this if/when I find a game plan for jay or finish the unwind dystology

i wanna know about youre ocs
Um okay!
[OC]
Vincent Zakaria Wayne (He/Him)
Old oc who's white/seasian i had years ago revamped!
He was originally a batgirl oc before i turned him into a batboy.
He transitioned when he was 11, and he grew up together with dick. He was an accidental baby bruce, and his late mother had during his around the world training or..yeah..idk...just an accidental baby.
Basket delivered baby right on the wayne manor's doorstep lol. Bruce and alfred kept it a secret to public, bruce tried his best to raise a baby until dick came along and made it somewhat easier since he's got a sibling and he doesnt need to take care of vincent alone anymore. Somewhere during his batboy run, which bruce was really against since he was still 7 y.o, he got an accident with poison ivy where one of her plants injected a toxin in his left arm resulting it to be amputated during his recovery. He's forever banned from joining any outings with bruce and dick.
He did, however, find enjoyment from tinkering bruce's bats devices when he's not in the cave, which led him to learn about how the gadgets operate and work. Bruce found out but then just gave up and let him do whatever as long as he doesn't sneak out, and he made sure dick doesnt let him out either.
He's...28? Now and he travels a lot from gotham to anywhere. One time, he goes to Evergreen as an intel. He ran across the task force x and decided to tag along as an undercover guy and became infatuated with adrian. Um....idk that task force x involvements part's still messy, but who care its my oc i can put him in any situation for fun hehe.
So his current partner is Adrian Chase/Vigilante :]
I still need to write a lot of things for this guy since most of them are just blurbs of his reactions/what he did during important events and his interactions with the other family members + rogues.
Kheiran Hasan Renaldi (He/It) + Thrash (They/Them)
Originally made bcs i just wanted to give jason a partner, but then it spiraled down, got invested in his character, so i started developing a lore for him.
He goes by Keke most of the times.
He was born and is currently "living" in gotham, but sometimes he's out in space. I got inspired by nocturna's character at first, but now he's a completely different character lol. Also, they both are heavily inspired by negative man.
He had an unfortunate run with an abusive ex, which triggered some type of entity to lash out and save him from the brink of death. Unfortunately, he passed away on the same night. Then the entity revived him, but it turned Keke into a phantom who can only have his physical appearance during nighttime, and the entity bound themselves with his soul, giving him a star-like power which give him an opportunity to exist fully and physically but only when out in space.
Meanwhile, on earth, when the sun rises, he just vanishes, leaving a faint presence, so sometimes the entity would take over to protect his soul and mind from any type of harm or he would just be in the shadows waiting for the day to pass.
The entity's called Thrash, i havent really made a solid design for them yet but they're supposed to be a monster like figure from space
...no further explanation bcs im still writing abt him more so thats all for now ^^
honorary mention GRUNKY SCRIMPLE (any pronouns)
My beloved dcuo oc, a fox anthro with argokinesis power. Grunk's just a silly, big guy who just wanders around metropolis with a disguise and occasionally helps people. Despite having argokinesis, this guy knows nothing about plants!!
Grunk lives with a person who does tho <3

How would you describe Barbara's personality?
DISCLAIMER: as for all my babs posts, this applies exclusively to pre magicuring babs
short version: the title her channel has on the batfam discord im part of :P
Tumblr media
(name was voted on by babs fans :P)
but anyway longer version:
babs is a character who is fiercely independent and doesn't really like being reliant on other people... physically or emotionally. she keeps people at arms length. she has a lot of what i view as bruce's unhealthy traits (feels personally responsible for everything, doesn't like letting people in, workaholic) a difference is i think she's slightly better at recognizing this and correcting it :P (Including when she treats other people unfairly -- she recognizes that she got over protective of Dinah after she got captured and injured and she wouldve HATED if anyone did that to her)
she also, despite being somewhat distant, is a character who very much believes in change. like thats part of the point of BoP and later on we see her try to change helena (against her will ;_;) and savant so savant is not a supervillain anymore and is also very much a mentoring people who are down on their luck kind of person (link) and she kind of wants to be the person for other people that some others* were for her. and she is SO involved in the superhero community it is obvious that connections are very important to her and she wants to be there for everyone even if she rarely will let people be there for her
she can also tend towards hypocritical sometimes :P Some of this is probably due to changing in writers but its a fun character trait to play with (and some times it is in text intentionally, like when she treats dinah in a way she would not like to be treated). but in suicide squad we see her debating luring carmichael into a trap to kill him (in her defense: he is totally trying to kill her) and later on we see her being OK with taking a life in self defense (she prepares to shoot someone in NML to save one of her operatives but helena as batgirl shows up so she doesnt need to, and she gives helena the go ahead to kill people if she needs to to rescue tim in jokers last laugh)... which makes it kind of amusing/frustrating that she beefs so much with helena which i think was partially due to the writers wanting everyone to exclude helena in batfam and partially due to good old fashioned misogyny on part of dixon (b/c dick had a one night stand with helena in one comic, so obviously babs has to hate helena in another and then other writers cant drop it b/c they cant imagine female characters as having relationships outside of men. though most of those writers were... male writers. act surprised)
this is what inspired the channel name (in that she recognizes traits she has in others but doesnt like it :P)
anyway time for some virtues: babs is extremely self assured and like… almost NEVER comes across as insecure or if she is insecure she reacts in a way that is more like covering it up by acting as ifs he has no doubts, which I like. frequently, when she is in distress, she is the person who rescues herself or at least contributes to her rescue (yes even as a disabled woman. act shocked, ableists). and despite the hard time she can have getting along with people and the many mistakes she makes, she also never stops trying and always learns from her own mistakes.
her self care in BoP reads like making sure other people are taking care of themselves XD (getting helena a teaching job, helping dinah get a flower shop, them getting civilian lives and she's just... still there, still without much of a civilian life). though this works with like. how little she seems to like other people taking care of her.
She reads as kind of autistic to me NGL
I am running out of things to say or more of i am worried i am repeating myself.

the most important thing I learned about Brucie in his auto biography is that despite Bruce Springsteen singing about wanting to fuck cars, the reality is that he is a passenger princess.
Greetings has just come out, hes like. 24. He doesnt have a license, has only driven a car a handful of times and he's been told he's dangerous behind the wheel lmfao
He's so fucking real for that. I can drive but if we go somewhere, my friends know im not driving XD (i help w gas tho im not stingy)
lmaoooooooo so funny story - a few weeks ago i was out to lunch with a friend and for some reason i drove us there (im a curb kisser, im a tire popper, im a shitty parking jobber, i passed maneuverability but not the driving portion of the license exam if you catch my drift) and we have lunch etc etc and when we leave the restaurant and walk to my car and i instinctually go to the passenger's side and my friend is like???? hello???? it's your car??? and i was like... oh yeah i drove here that's funny BC MY FRIENDS NEVER LET ME DRIVE THEM ANYWHERE lol
im a very bad driver too, glad to see i'm in good company tho

opinions on jaykyle ?
GASP. love love love. but disclaimer before i say anything,,, i have not read the one (1) comic they are in together, everything i know about them is completely Dashboard Osmosis xoxo
first of all. love the Disaster energy of jaykyle,,, both of them being like "i dont care! *proceeds to care a lot*" bc they Do Not Want to be interested in each other but alas. they are
i love the hc of neither of them realizing that they are into each other but donna knowing and being so fucking tired of them all the time. kyle goes "jason is soooo annoying 🙄 hes not even that hot. no one thinks hes hot. i dont know why anyone would think that hes hot. who would even be into him. everyone thinks hes sooooo cool and sexy and everyone wants to fuck him. not me though." while donna sits there like "sure, talk more about how much you don’t think or care about him 🙂"
meanwhile jason is actually chill about it. hes like "yeah kyle gets on my nerves but like in a hot way" while kyle is fuming in a corner. boyfriends <3
and hhhmmhhhsmshsmhhhm characters that pretend not to care about each other but then are super protective and would kill and die for each other??? oh my god i am crying. jason sees kyle in danger and he immediately runs in and tries to protect him despite the fact that kyle is a lot more powerful than him fjfjdjsmdn
but ohh my god. italicized oh moment for realizing they actually DO like each other??? fuck! both of them are fucking dumb and emotionally repressed so that they wouldnt even realize it until something major happens. like one of them is in danger and the other is Panicking and doesnt realize why theyre so worried until theyre like "hold on. hold on. i am in love. okay."
and LISTEN. both of them are scared of bringing people into their lives and caring for another person :(
after what happened to alex (🧊💔) kyle is wary of bringing people into his life because he is afraid that it will only end badly for them :( he doesnt want to see the people he cares about get hurt so he tries to keep Emotional Distance so nothing can happen
and jason has felt constantly hurt and left behind by the people that are supposed to care about him :( his dad left, his mom died (which obviously is not her fault bc she was an addict but from a 10-year-old jason's perspective it def gave him some abandonment issues from seeing his mothers dead body then needing to live on the streets), then sheila betrayed him, then he felt betrayed by bruce, then he felt left behind by his whole family. so that tends to affect a persons relationships
so both of them are extremely hesitant to be in a relationship, i feel like jason would be the one to end up making the first move but for a while they would both have a “one foot out the door” attitude but they would have to slowly accept that they trust each other and care about each other :(
because FUCK it’s about learning to accept that they can’t always be there when the person they care about is in danger! and overcoming insecurities about the danger of opening your life for another person!!! aaaaaah!!!!!!!!!
that’s all i’m going to say for now because i am going to go into cardiac arrest but i just…. care deeply about them. anyways while i’m talking about jaykyle i implore everyone to read violet tendencies by elixir because it’s my fav jaykyle fic and i think about it constantly

the more i read green arrow the more im rattling the bars of my cage and the harder im mourning the anarky/GA proposed team story because oliver would be a way better older figure for lonnie to learn from (and to learn from lonnie) long-term than bruce could ever even dream of being and its driving me NUTS.
one day i'll say more about this but since im still early in my GA reading im not confident enough to fully break down why i think so. i'm getting inklings and im getting validation for this belief the further i get into it though. i think it boils down to the fact that oliver is willing to hear lonnie out. he doesn't pull the 'you're good, and i admire you, but you're too dangerous so i have to keep you in check so i can do things my way' schtick, or try to teach lonnie a lesson. bruce's advice can be much needed for lonnie, but it often comes incidentally (anarky 1997) or after the two come to blows and is almost always stern. the two chafe easily.
oliver will listen to lonnie despite not always being on board with his ideas and is willing to help him and actually work with him even after being initially suspicious or getting into a fight, and i think someone who's already more in-line with lonnie's beliefs would be a much better person to try and act as a temper for lonnie when he gets into his own head and oversteps or for him to learn 'better ways' from. oliver sees his younger self in lonnie. he's already had moments where working with lonnie imbues him with something valuable. and i think that would continue much better and much easier between them than between lonnie and bruce. plus, lonnie admires oliver in a different way - ideals and beliefs are everything to him, and thats something he and oliver, for the most part, share.
HOWEVER. i still like lonnie and bruce’s relationship as well and do find it very interesting, just because its not 'easygoing' doesnt mean its not important

oh i had a dream where, once clark kent's powers started coming in from our yellow sun as a child, he developed his heat vision, but he couldnt shut it off. like, that just wasnt a function of his heat vision, it didnt turn off. sortve like cyclops from x-men. so he had to live his life with his eyes closed, learning to navigate the world functionally blind, because his x-ray vision couldnt see through his own eyelids. he wore a blindfold as well, to help remind him to keep them closed at all times, even when instinct would have him open them
there was this whole scene where he and bruce wayne meet, as interviewer and interviewee but in a casual setting, and bats is noticing that even for someone who's been blind their whole life and is therefore used to it, clark navigates the world /very/ smoothly(because his super-hearing, after years of relying on it, works like daredevil's, though bruce doesnt know that). he's intrigued by this blind man who navigates the world so easily, who decided to get into print journalism despite being unable to read it
the dream gets very jumbled there, and i think eventually bruce develops tech that allows clark to open his eyes without killing everyone with lasers, but i dont really remember any details

Burn zombie burn cover

BURN ZOMBIE BURN COVER SKIN
BURN ZOMBIE BURN COVER SERIES
As she gets closer to the door, the tension ratchets up to a fever pitch, before she reveals her face in all its disheveled glory. She seems unaware of his pleas, and crawls out of her bed. She sits up, despite Hideo's insistence that she not bother herself. The point of view switches to Hideo's view from the mail slot, and we see Tekko in bed. By doing this each zombie on fire adds to. The core mechanic is about setting zombies on fire. The objective is to kill as many zombies as possible before he dies, whilst also attaining a high enough score in order to progress. Cover the hand in cheese with the exception of the nails. In Burn Zombie Burn the player controls Bruce against a never ending army of zombies with arena shooter-like gameplay. Simple, quick and big effect - It doesnt get any better than that. Plus, zombies take a long time to die from fire, and while they are burning, they will spread the fire everywhere they go. When fires burn this early in the season, scientists try to figure out whether they were sparked by 'zombie fires' that started the previous. Hideo ascends the staircase and peeks through the mail slot of Tekko's apartment door. This Burnt Zombie Hand Meatloaf is sure to gross you out and yet be delightfully tasty all at the same time. But it may not burn the whole house down, and it most likely will not spread to the houses around it if your trying to burn the zombies in other houses. Wildfires burn in northern Russia in early May, 2021. While crossing the bridge on the way to her apartment, he notices military vehicles are driving beneath it's an indication that, yes, something terrible is about to happen. When the zombie apocalypse that we were promised on the book's cover comes to pass, it's tremendously rewarding.Īn example of that is when Hideo learns that Tekko has become infected with ZQN.
BURN ZOMBIE BURN COVER SERIES
The series knows to show and not tell, and it is through overheard conversations that Hideo - and, thus, the reader - learns the world is about to change, mostly for the worse. Find co-op news, reviews, and more info about this game.
BURN ZOMBIE BURN COVER SKIN
If skin is damaged by a burn that protection may be compromised. Co-Op gameplay information about Burn Zombie Burn on Playstation 3. It does so because you are using the microwave or turning the lights on, and at nighttime that gets to be bizarrely loud. So yeah, your base covered in blood doesnt attract zombies because its smelly. It’s primary purpose is to protect the body by creating a covering that keeps germs and the like from entering the body and causing infection, disease, etc. Zombies that do seek will try to break in, and THAT attracts the horde in earnest. I Am a Hero is slow with the way it presents its horror. Answer (1 of 2): Our skin is the largest organ in the body.

sometimes i wonder if jason forgived sheila.
in utrh he was ready to die in a world where bruce did not love him rather than taking revenge on him or hurt him. even if bruce killed him he was ready for that.
in arkhamverse even after everything he helped bruce.
in a death in the family he tried to save sheila until the last moment and when he came back it was shown he blamed joker not her.
he had not hated catherine and even if he was not much fond of willis he still didnt hate him and when he learned willis had died he was shown to be sad.
it feels like he always forgives people too! and he might try to justify her by that she was blackmailed.
i dont know it just doesnt feel like he would hate her.
Jason’s relationships with all of his parent figures are rooted in him never hating any of them. He never liked Willis but he was angry and hurt when he found out that Two-Face had ordered him killed. RHATO (my beloathed) made it fairly clear that Jason would forgive Willis if he knew he was still alive. RHATO also showed us Bruce being unrepentantly abusive and beating Jason past the point of being speak properly, forget fight, and Jason still forgave him (or didn’t see it as anything to forgive). Jason’s never said he forgave Catherine because he knows she loved him and that’s all that matters to him; he doesn’t even see anything that needs to be forgiven.
As for Sheila, we have a canon answer (besides him throwing his beaten body in front of her to try to protect her from the explosion). In Deadman: Dead Again #2, Boston is sent back in time to when Jason was being beat by the Joker. In the first page, he’s taken over Sheila’s body to get her to take Jason with her after Jason’s untied her, so Sheila’s thoughts and words are actually his. The second and third paged have post-DitF typical “Jason was the angry/reckless Robin” mentions but if you look past those, you get Jason’s thoughts on both Bruce and Sheila in relation to his death. He doesn’t blame either of them (with Bruce, it seems he blames himself because DC wanted Jason himself to basically say “Batman isn’t to blame, I didn’t listen to him and now I’m paying the price”, and that’s gross). But he really doesn’t blame Sheila at all. He even excuses her by saying her life wasn’t fair despite knowing maybe three things about her. Boston expected him to be angry at Sheila, but Jason just wanted her to be alright, even wanted her soul to end up in a good place. Sheila’s only second to the Joker in terms of who should be faulted for Jason’s death, but Jason doesn’t feel any anger towards even her.

I don't think words "most emotional" is the most right way to put it . I just they 're all relatively same on the level of they emotion but Jason has a different way of coping with it than rest of the bats. If they try to bottle it up and never-ever touch it again (but since they're just people it eventually breaks on outbursts), Jason acts on it and adjust his plans on his emotional needs and wish, Also when people use this word it's usually to make it " OMG, look how dumb he's bc of his emotions, he's never able to control it and just competely brainless impulse-driven mess"
i think of it mostly in openness if that makes sense? like yeah, they all feel a lot, bruce started this whole thing because he cares about the city and wants to help people he wouldn't do it if he just. didnt feel anything or care that much, same for all the bats working in gotham. but i do think jason is more ready to openly talk or think about these emotions, whereas the others push it down and try to focus on the goals/greater good and ignore themselves in the process because that's how they learned to deal with it. jason is more willing to take those into account and change plans accordingly
and yeah i hate when they make him dumb because of that. when i say he's emotional and has the impulse to act on that, i dont mean 'blinded by them and doesnt think' but 'cannot and doesnt want to ignore it and will indulge it' i mean. bruce is known for how far he pushes himself and ignores his own needs and wants and personal life for the greater good, whereas jason is much more selfish and will take into account what he wants and thinks is right (in utrh alone: bruce not killing joker despite wanting to because he believes its for the greater good and sacrifices himself for that vs jason only wanting him dead for what he's done and trying his best to get that results for his own benefits/catharsis)

MvA assorted headcanons
General:
So many years together has made the core monsters inseperable. If something affects one member, it affects the group.
All. The. Monsters. Are. Family.
It takes Susan a while to understand inside jokes and past incidents because of being the most recent addition.
There are Other anomalous creatures kept in Area 5X, but they are either non-sentient and/or are too dangerous to be kept around the more human-friendly monster group.
Area 5X is so gotdang big because they were expecting a lot more kaijus like Insecto to crop up. Sadly not many have surfaced to justify the space.
There’s a hangar in Area 5X full of wrecked UFOs. Some are spacecraft wreckage while others are stuff like weird meteors (Susan’s is in there), and at least one alien creature that got crystallised upon entering Earth’s atmosphere.
There’s significant difference in staff employed at different points throughout the past 50 years. There are far more women on the Area 5X worksheet than back in the 50s, and the guards are generally more sympathetic towards the monsters. Many modern staff members have been reprimanded or let go for failing to uphold secrecy, or for unnecessary cruelty towards the monsters.
Budget cuts were a legitmate concern up until the Battle of Golden Gate Bridge. The facility was far more barebones and sterile before the government had to formally recognise Area 5X’s importance. There have been a lot of redecorating at the facilty since the fat checks started coming in.
Putting individual characters under read due to length.
Susan:
Enjoys many hobbies considered stereotypically feminine; baking, sewing, cosmetics, etc...
Grandparents and extended family are farmers or are atleast connected to the business. Modesto is the agricultural centre of California after all. Her parents were the first of their generation to go against the mold and seek out white-collar careers.
Studied cosmetology in school and was working at a beauty salon to save up for her and Derek’s wedding.
Is very athletic and grew up doing a number of physical extracurriculars like cheerleading, dodgeball, and roller-derby.
Grew up being teased for being the shortest kid in her class/family. They still tease her for it.
Greatly fears causing collateral damage and/or harm to others through her size.
Has issues with anxiety, worsened only by her new job as “savior of earth”. She wishes for a confidant to tell her worries to.
Married life with Derek was doomed to fail. Susan had a plan in place for what came after the marriage, and focusing 100% on Derek’s career was not it. There’s also the line from Derek’s mother about Susan being “the weatherman’s wife”, implying that she was to be the homemaker and not have a career of her own. It’s possible that Susan was planning to settle down and have kids with Derek, but the lack of control she had in moving to Fresno implied that more was going on.
Is currently “taking a break” from love and dating, despite gaining many new admirers.
Tries her best to return to Modesto to visit her family and friends whenever possible, though work often keeps her away for weeks at a time.
If she retains her height-shifting abilities as in the series; Susan goes through really bad “growing” pains.
Link:
Was frozen in his relative late-teens during a cold snap. Got shifted around until he ended up somewhere in Greenland before being discovered by modern humans. Post-thaw he went a bit wild, swimming frantically back south to try and find his old enviroment.
Was one of many scrappy youngsters in his troop, with a number of adoptive parents. The strongest ruled the troop, and Link was fairly weak in comparision to the leaders. He had gotten into a fight the day of his freezing (over something silly in hindsight) and swam away to sulk. When he didn’t return after the cold snap - the troop accepted that he had likely died out on his own.
Likes to freak out humans by making up weird biology facts about his species and ones he’s fought against - like joking about laying eggs or having his tail dettach and regrow like a lizard. However there’s some things he has to ask about, because he doesn’t have medical knowledge or words to describe something.
A lot of his macho behavior came from imitating the guards who kept watch on him. 1950s violent military alpha males aren't a very good role model for someone who doesnt know what societal norms are yet. Link was a lot more insufferable back in the day but chilled out as he began interacting with other walks of life.
Has a high paternal instinct and immediately becomes softer around kids and smaller animals.
Has body language similar to a cat/alligator. Slaps his tail when angry or in deep thought. And yes; Link purrs/rumbles when happy.
Loves monster movies - especially the ones where the monsters “win”. He cried when he saw “Beauty and the Beast” and then immediately booed loudly when the Beast turned human.
Does Not Trust doctors or scientists due to bad past experiences. Will only go to Dr Cockroach and Monger if he ever gets hurt/ill. Gets stressed fast if he has to be in a waiting room or doctors office.
Link had no idea what gender indentities or orientations were until recently - he did come from a pre-human civilization that really didnt mind/care about the schemantics. It took him some time to wrap his head around it. He identifies himself as bisexual after much thought and many hours alone on the computer.
Don't press him about his body. He's built different from humans and cis people. He will punch anyone who doesnt respect his or anyone elses identity.
Has been in love before. It didn’t end well.
Will occasionally wear clothes, but finds it a challenge to find anything that fits him. Will give any shoes he finds to Dr Cockroach and BOB to eat.
The best driver/pilot out of all the monsters.
Dr Cockroach:
True name is Jaques-Yves Herbert. Prefers to just go by "Dr Cockroach" because he dislikes the association with his birth family.
Picks up human languages very easily, although not as quickly as he can understand animals.
Parents were a mixed scientist couple. His father was an aggressive “Strong British Man” that would beat him son down for not following orders or for not meeting his standards for a man. Dr C turned down both chances to attend his parents funerals.
This man isn’t straight. He probably uses old-fashioned slang when asked about romance such as; “I am Uranian” or “I wear a green carnation”. It took Susan a few times to realise what he meant, as she is used to a more open minded enviroment.
Got the idea of transforming into a cockroach from reading Franz Kafkas “The Metamorphosis” as a child. He sympathized with Gregor’s abusive situation, and began considering the possibilties of how one could survive better as a creature like a cockroach.
Studied in biology and entomology in the Uk before moving to the states to follow engineering. Obtained his degree in Dance as a “side gig” in University.
Has been barred from free access to the coffee maker/machine due to overnighters. Once stayed awake so long that he forgot the letter “R”.
Owned a terrarium of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches throughout college. He mourned each of them when his roommate’s iguana got into the tank.
Was a "beatnik" back in the day and still kinda is. Embraces and encourages modern counterculture as he himself was not given such acceptance in his youth. He has however shamefully eaten his old Lenny Bruce album.
Hasn’t actually aged physically since his transformation. He attributes this to the fact that certain athropods can’t age physically beyond maturity. Link is very jealous.
Has obtained more degrees while in captivity, as Monger allowed him access to research and learning materials. He has however had his allowances revoked for previous escape attempts/doomsday devices.
Does still enjoy human food, but the cockroach instinct of "eat detritus" tends to overrule his eating choices. Can’t cook either.
Ironically a terrible driver. The damages from previous drives has made Monger restrict him from operating even a razor scooter.
BOB:
Pretty much considers himself human. Was created by them, raised by one (Monger), and talks like one. Gets sad when he's reminded that no other humans are blue blobs like him.
Absorbed some dna from the scientists present at his "birth", leading to his eye, speech, and omnivorous diet.
Doesnt actually need to breathe (as he can just absorb oxygen through his mass) but the fact that humans Do means that BOB thinks he has to as well.
Shares some physical characteristics with tomatoes/nightshade plants, as he is technically half tomato. He refuses to eat tomatos for this very reason, considering it cannibalism.
Attracts garden pests looking for a tomato plant. This unwittingly makes BOB a pretty good bug zapper.
Still retains his "mental broadcast" ability from "BOB's Big Break" although at a more subtle level. He tends to parrot the things he accidentally "eavesdropped" on.
Is empathetic, and can tell when others aren't doing ok emotionally. Will flop down on someone who’s really sad to comfort them. No brain, only heart.
Best cook out of the monsters. If he doesn’t forget what he’s making at least.
"Whats a gender? Can I eat it?"
Insectosaurus:
Core body is that of a Japanese Silkmoth, although she ended up being spliced with other animals present on the island during her initial mutation; namely ants and ground squirrels.
Eats over a literal ton of mulberry leaves per day. Also enjoys oranges.
Secretly wishes to be more humanoid.
Was only able to pupate and transform due to physical trauma. It seems that her transformation was like a “power-up” that required her to be in geniune distress for it to activate.
First language is Japanese. She learned it from the intial recovery team, and later developed an understanding of English from years in Area 5X.
Goes into torpor in cold weather. Pretty much impossible to wake her up for missions during Winter, as she needs to “rev up” before becoming mobile.
Still very much Link’s best friend. Still enjoys sports, chicks, and beer.
Monger:
Full name is; Warren Rex Monger.
Is very protective of the monsters and will defend them to the death.
Pretty much raised BOB (as seen when BOB was a baby blob in “Night of the Living Carrots”), and considers him his “freaky gelatinous son”.
Has a reputation of being a “control-freak” due to his aggressive overseeing of the monsters’ containment. This toughness is partly because of incidents that occured without his knowledge. Lets just say some scientists have been wedgied/fired for running experiments on the monsters without Monger’s approval.
Has a very “Ron Swanson” emotional response and view of the world. Crying is acceptable only at funerals and at the Grand Canyon (if he hadn’t lost his tear ducts in the war).
Has been married multiple times. Will not confirm or deny if he is currently seeing anyone.
Invisible Man/TiM:
Legit got out but no one at Area 5X is sure how. He suffered a geniune medical emergency and disappeared after surgery. The other monsters were informed that he died from complications to deter them from getting escape ideas.
Is able to be detected in Infrared light. Dr Cockroach managed to rig up goggles to view TiM in case of injury and to foil pranks.
Was a scientist working on an invisibility potion for the military and used himself as a guinea pig. Hasn’t actually been able to replicate his results since - thinks the effect may have been caused by a genetic abnormality.
Dr Cockroach and him are massive rivals. Both actually met eachother pre-transformation through a CalTech expedition. This makes the pair one of few people that have seen the others human face.
Is 100% naked. Was forced to wear clothing once this was discovered.
A massive prankster and a cynic. Him and Link were a force to be reckoned with.
Has revisted the facility multiple times and has started a number of ghost stories.
Any additions are welcome! I proably have alot more to dump about. Might make one of the alien characters from the series

Been reading a lot of twitter fics recently and its got me thinking how the Avengers would actually use twitter
(written by someone who has never had a twitter lol)
Bruce — i feel like he wouldnt even have a twitter and if he did its because Tony set one up for him. He either never touches it or its on private
Tony — being a celebrity and all i feel like Pepper or someone else was responsible for the majority of his account. And then he actually got into twitter and started posting whatever he wanted. He's not actually all that active on it. Still has a massive following though
Steve — used to pretend he didnt know how it worked when Tony made him a account. He has periods of lots of activity mixed with periods of no activity. He says a lot of political stuff but the majority of his content is everyday stuff. His most popular content is whenever he tweets about learning something basic or watching a old classic. Has a massive following
Natasha — Tony also made her a account but being a spy and all she never uses it. Whenever she does come on its to embarrass or bully her teammates. Massive following
Clint — has a private account and that was only to stay in touch with his family while he was working at SHIELD. Tony couldnt find it because his account and his family's accounts were under fake names so Tony made him a account with everyone else. He only has like five original tweets and the rest are retweets. Is one of those people who's on all the time but never actually presses the like button. Has a large following solely because he happens to be a superhero
Thor — the only Avenger other than Tony to have already had a twitter (Jane and Darcy helped set it up). He knows how it works but doesnt quite grasp when he should use it. He'll try and tweet when he's off-world and doesnt understand that its not posting. He has a phone but he doesnt carry it around with him so pretty much all of his actually working twitter activity comes from him on a ipad on the couch because he's bored in the middle of day because everyone he knows has a job or something. His tweets either make sense or they dont. Has a massive following anyways
Alright now that the mains are out of the way lets talk about the others
Peter Parker — definitely has two or three accounts. His Peter account is private and his Spidey account is public. His third is either a Peter account May doesnt know about or a "intern" account where he can post about stuff that happens with the Avengers when he's not in the suit (so the Avengers don't figure out who he is and his school friends dont know he actually hangs out with the Avengers). His private account is normal high school aged twitter user stuff, Spidey account is mostly just public announcements but he does Q and As pretty frequently, and the Intern account is a lot like Natasha's in the sense its almost exclusively embarrassing content of or light bullying of the Avengers. Spidey has a massive following and Intern has a large amount. Theres a lot of controversy over whether the Intern account is real despite Tony Stark saying it is because all Stark employees have to sign a form saying they won't talk about what happens at work on any social platforms
Rhodey — uses twitter like a normal person. He didnt have that big a following until he got a suit. He debated turning his account private but decided not to. He does use his account as a platform occasionally
Bucky — he's like Steve, it took him a while to get into it but when he's on it he'll be on it all day. Has the same types of tweets/tweet ratio as Steve. Has no trouble embarrassing Steve online. A large following, almost entirely made of Captain America fans
Sam — a normal person twitter. Sometimes he posts about Steve or the other Avengers and thats gotten him a lot of followers
Dr. Strange — has a twitter but is never on it
Wong — has a private twitter with more followers then Strange. Will never let Strange know he has a twitter
Scott — Luis made him a twitter to help distract him after he got out of prison. He has like 15 followers but posts like he has 1.5 million followers. Really wants to make a Ant-Man account
Hope — has a twitter but for work
Hank — has a twitter but doesnt use it
Luis — a normal person twitter
Shuri — only one from Wakanda to have a Twitter. She has a lot of fun knowing people cant stop her and don't know she's talking about them (cough T'Challa cough). Im not sure if she's using her real name though. When the outreach program begins (i forgot what it was called) she makes several accounts for it
Fury — does not have a twitter
Maria — was only allowed a twitter to monitor the Avengers. Posts a few "normal" things to make the account look real (especially after SHIELD went down)
Carol — does not have a twitter. Enjoys looking at tweet screenshots though
Shaun — a normal person twitter. Private account
Katy — a normal person twitter
Did i forget anyone? I feel like im forgetting someone. Many if this gets some notes i'll do a TikTok account one
EDIT: I FORGOT WANDA AND VISION AHHHHH
Wanda — has a private account because she's smart and values privacy (also scared of public disapproval (i.e. CA:CW)). Was thinking of going public because all the Avengers (minus Bruce but he's not around) have public accounts but Clint recommended she wait till she was adult to get a public account if she wasnt sure about it now. She posted a lot of justice and political stuff when she was in Sokovia
Vision — Actually made himself a account because he wanted to feel included. Does not need a phone to tweet he can do it "mentally".

i need that bruce and arkham essay plz
I’ll answer this tomorrow I told you almost two and a half hours ago and yet here I am. At almost 4 am so bear with me folks.
WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS DISCUSSION OF TROUBLING ACTIONS, SERIOUS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, AND VIOLENCE
So, what really starts me in on discussions around Bruce and Arkham, and something I feel like a lot of people either don’t know, conveniently ignore, or forget is that Bruce was in his youth, an Arkham patient. Specifically Alfred sent Bruce to an Arkham boy’s’ rehabilitation facility upstate. Against his will. Because he was obsessed with the idea of shooting and killing his parent’s murderer and had almost attempted suicide. This rehabilitation facility is where Bruce meets and befriends Harvey Dent. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Following his stint at the rehabilitation facility- Bruce exhibits even more troubling behavior, which suggests that his time at an Arkham facility did not teach him healthy coping mechanisms or do much to help him learn to process his emotions. While still a young man (18 or under) Bruce:
Responded to a question a teacher asked in class by burning it into their front yard
Hired a homeless man to pretend to be Alfred to sign paperwork that would authorize the erasure of his memories via electroshock therapy (he ultimately did not go through with the procedure)
Used the Irish mob to track the location of Joe Chill and then interrogated him
Now I understand that despite having a certification in mental health first aid, and having PTSD, that I am by no means an expert in human psychology. But I feel comfortable saying that the Arkham system failed Bruce Wayne and that Bruce Wayne does not have healthy coping mechanisms.
Bruce ultimately did not commit suicide because he believed it would not be what his parents wanted for him, and vowed instead to dedicate his life to stopping crime - from that moment until he finds Joe Chill and learns that the motivation behind his parents death was simply that Chill needed a quick buck and that his parents death, to quote the fandom wiki had “no deeper meaning,” Bruce’s quest for vengeance and stopping crime is based around a conspiracy surrounding his parent’s murder that he has concocted in his own mind. One might think that after learning that the motivation behind the murder of his parents was money, and Bruce Wayne being a billionaire that he might have stopped to consider that perhaps crime is motivated by poverty, but alas, world’s greatest detective my ass.
Bruce, now fueled by the loss of his parents and the anger that his parents death has been reduced to the need for a quick buck begins his multi- year training montage. During this montage, while he’s ignoring Alfred’s attempts to contact him, Bruce let’s an assassin into the home of one of the men training him, and the man’s dying breath warns him that death would come of fostering close personal relationships, and Bruce sure didn’t listen to therapy, but he does take that message to heart. As a way to formally end his training, Bruce then climbed to the top of Wayne Tower and jumped off.
These are not the decisions of a man who is mentally healthy.
From pretty much the get go we see Bruce go from a child who was powerless in a situation where his parents were taken from him, into a damaged young man who was failed by a mental health facility and then spent seven years training to beat the absolute shit out of criminals after finding out that his parents were killed for a quick buck. The Joker at one point has to stop Bruce from stabbing the Riddler in the face. And of course we’ve all seen Bruce almost beating criminals to death and beating the shit out of his kids, and forming plans on how to take down other superheroes. These are not healthy behaviors.
But how does Arkham tie into this beyond Bruce being a former patient? What I’ve tried to do is establish a few things.
Bruce Wayne was failed by the Arkham system (a system that, at the time of her death, his mother was desperately trying to reform)
Bruce Wayne has control issues (both in that he has issues regulating his emotional responses and those responses lean towards extreme and violent behavior, and that he wants to be in control and he wants to be right all the time)
Bruce has not made an attempt to seek professional help since Alfred sent him to the rehabilitation facility (or as I said in another post of mine “Bruce refuses to get therapy and make that everyone else’s problem.”)
Bruce has self destructive tendencies
Arkham is a system that Bruce cannot control. He couldn’t control it when he was a patient, and he wouldn’t be able to control it as a major donor seeking to fix the broken system that failed him and carry on his mother’s legacy. What medical professionals in a mental health facility do are outside of his control.
Furthermore while punching a criminal to the point of near death or disfigurement, or dropping an unconscious goon at the police station will typically stop a run of the mill mugger, thief, etc, from committing more crimes at least for a while (assuming of course that they can even make an arrest when the chain of custody on any evidence has been broken), more high profile criminals the ones we see as recurring members of the Rogues Gallery who seem to be motivated by something other than poverty are typically found unsuited for trial and would thus be sent to a rehabilitation facility, like Arkham.
These high profile villains offer more of a fight than a mugger who hasn’t had a proper meal in the last two days, and as such they can usually injure Bruce while he’s in the Batsuit. This feeds into two of Bruce’s things- his self destructive behavior, and his history of violent behavior. But- is Arkham worked, if the rogues really were to be rehabilitated the opportunity for the catharsis brought on by the violence both towards and from them would be gone, Bruce would not be in control of their recovery, and as we’ve seen, Arkham has failed Bruce, and imo it’s unclear if he thinks Arkham can actually help people.
Bruce doesnt fix Arkham because that would mean admitting that it failed him, that it needs fixing because he is not mentally well, he does not want to admit that he is not in control of himself or that he is in some way “damaged.” Fixing Arkham would also stop the revolving door of break ins/outs that provide him with the catharsis brought on by violence- if it ceases to be real life monopoly jail the frequency of these encounters would dwindle and as many of us know, bad coping mechanisms often become a habit and Bruce would become twitchier.
Furthermore, handling all of the Arkham break outs gives Bruce a sense of accomplishment on his self assigned mission to squash crime- he’s handling all of these big name villains, on a rotating basis means that he is busy with at least one of the rogues pretty much all the time. This sense of accomplishment is important, after all, it’s not like he’s doing anything to stop crime at the source, and without a sense of accomplishment how could he ever hope to moralize at other heroes and hold them to an impossible standard that he himself is not even meeting?
Bruce’s time in the Arkham system is something that is often overlooked but does quite a bit in shaping Bruce’s perspective and decision making. And they’re not good decisions or good perspectives.

Guide to writing Cassandra Cain
I’ve seen a lot of people in the Bat Family fandom say that they often minimize or exclude Cassandra from their works because they don’t know enough about her. While I HIGHLY recommend reading her Batgirl comic from 2000, I’ve compiled a guide to her personality, abilities, and relationships with other DC characters here for easy reference. (I’ve tried to be as comprehensive as possible, but I’ve probably forgotten something so please feel free to add onto this if you know the character well)
PERSONALITY
Cassandra has a difficult time with language, spoken or written. This generally manifests through her relying on body language and single-word sentences to get her point across. When she needs to speak, it is halting and awkward, but not broken. She will pause frequently, mumble, or use Malapropisms, but she is a perfectionist and is frustrated when she doesnt use perfect grammar or pronunciation. At times she will be unable to find the words for a particular thought. She usually is portrayed as being unable to read or write.
Cass sometimes uses mimicry when she has trouble putting words together herself, quoting films, tv shows, and plays.
Cassandra is compassionate above all else. She values life, and protecting it is her highest priority. She will not hesitate to put herself in danger to save others, and does not tolerate killing.
Cassandra has a strong guilt complex. Anyone who dies on her watch weighs heavily on her conscience, even if there was nothing she could’ve done to stop it. She does not let go of these “failures” easily.
Cassandra has little regard for societal norms and expectations. While generally caring and compassionate, she often comes across as rude due to spending most of her life either locked in a bunker or surviving in the wilderness. This includes poor table manners, a tendency to lurk in the shadows, and mirroring her adoptive father’s habit of coming and going without warning.
Cassandra has great pride in her physical prowess, but little in her moral character. Though she has a strong moral code and is quick to intervene when others break it, she does not see herself as above them and may even have more faith in them than in herself, as she still feels that she may not be able to rise above her upbringing. She can be rather arrogant about her superior agility and combat prowess, however.
Cassandra is fond of friendly jibes and snark, usually but not always expressed nonverbally. Her sense of humor is slightly unconventional, but usually good-natured.
Cassandra wears her heart on her sleeve. She is very emotional, and her past trauma can make her emotionally vulnerable, especially because of her lack of communicative skills. Her emotions show through her entire body, even when she doesn’t vocalize them.
Cassandra is quick to leap before looking, but excellent at adapting to unexpected situations. She is a poor planner and rather impulsive, with a rebellious streak that sometimes makes it hard for her to listen to instructions. However, she is great at thinking on her feet and analyzing her situation in the moment.
Cassandra does not do things in half measures. When she wants to learn something, such as reading or detective work, she is eager to dive into the deep end even if it’s not always the best way to approach it. As mentioned before she is also a perfectionist when it comes to herself, so this approach often leads to frustration.
Cassandra is very physically affectionate, with little mind for personal space. This often comes in the form of gently touching the face of someone she believes to be in pain.
Cassandra is extremely empathetic, to the point that it can be overwhelming for her at times. She is very good at spotting falsehoods, hidden pain, etc.
Despite this, she often misinterprets social cues. For instance, when Barbara and Dick were going through a rough patch in their relationship, she though Dick had intentionally done something to hurt Barbara, and threw him out a window.
ABILITIES
Cass is fast. Really, really fast. She can move incredibly quickly and quietly, making her very hard to track.
Cass has a shocking amount of strength for her small size. She has punched through 3-inch thick quartz glass, kicked down concrete walls, and thrown a metahuman more than twice her size without issue.
Her primary advantage comes from her ability to read body language and predict her opponents’ actions, allowing her to dodge bullets and outmaneuver pretty much any non powered opponent. This ability does not work on robots, animals, or sufficiently nonhuman aliens.
Cassandra is a contender for the world’s best martial artist, along with Lady Shiva and Richard Dragon. She can pick up new fighting styles nearly instantly, allowing her to learn and adapt techniques she’s never encountered before.
Cass is an incredible acrobat, though not as good as Nightwing.
Cass is able to control the amount of force she uses to the point that she doesn’t usually have to worry about killing even when using normally lethal techniques.
She is able to use pressure points to paralyze someone nearly instantly, though she has only shown the ability to use it on those who do not expect her to attack.
She can stop a person’s heart using a special technique, and in later appearances was able to do so without endangering the person for a good length of time, though they’d still die if not revived within that time period.
She is very good at analyzing her surroundings, which has helped her solve cases.
Cassandra is exceptional at dividing her attention and energy, able to coordinate herself to the point that government agents assumed she was a metahuman.
She is very good at the intimidation side of the job, able to terrify even trained killers.
RELATIONSHIPS
Cassandra is very close to Stephanie Brown, who was her first real friend. She can be a bit overprotective of her, even using violence to keep her out of fights that Cass thinks will be too much for her, though she has largely grown out of that and these days has a lot more faith in her. Cassandra is able to unwind with Stephanie in ways that she has trouble doing with around other people, even those she trusts like Barbara and Tim. When Stephanie seemingly died, Cassandra was deeply affected, becoming shorter-tempered and more violent.
Cassandra sees Barbara as the mother she never had, and values her insight. Though she often chafes at Barbara’s well-intentioned attempts to get her to see beyond her life as Batgirl, she still cares deeply for her.
Cass sees Bruce as somewhat of a father figure as well as a bit of an idol, and seeks his approval. When she believes that she has disappointed him, it can be devastating for her. However, she also recognizes his pain and trauma, and sympathizes strongly with it. Her admiration also doesn’t always mean she’ll do what he says.
While Cassandra and Dick don’t always get along (as mentioned earlier), she usually sees him as a mentor and big brother, and she is often more relaxed around him than most people.
Cass and Jason’s interactions have been largely confrontational, and it’s likely that further encounters would be similar, as she is strongly opposed to lethal force and would endeavor to stop him if she could. That said, she would almost certainly understand the pain he went through, and would try to get through to him with words as much as she is capable, rather than immediately resorting to violence.
Cass and Tim have a long and complicated history. While the two of them started off rather tense, with Tim being somewhat intimidated by her, they soon grew very close, and treat each other as siblings. Their strengths complement each other, and they are able to work in synch with each other very well. She has also been known to break into his house to steal food and take a shower.
Like Jason, Cass’s interactions with Damian are few and far between. Their first meeting didn’t end well, as Cassandra pulled him from a building when he was disarming a bomb despite his protests that he could handle it. While she found some of what he said hurtful, she didn’t seem to hold much of a grudge, and I think they could find common ground due to their similar backgrounds.
Cassandra and Duke seem to be friends, though beyond that little is known of their relationship.
Cassandra is close with Harper Row, and the two of them definitely care for one another despite the troubled history between them.
Cass and Jean-Paul Valley bonded quickly over their shared inexperience with society, and they are both very fond of one-another.
Cassandra is friends with Dinah Lance, who she has been shown to train with on occasion.
Cass does not get along with Helena Bertinelli for obvious reasons, and when they worked together during the Battle for the Cowl there was quite a bit of tension between them.
Cassandra had a close relationship with Basil Karlo/Clayface during the time that he had reformed, as she had faith in his ability to change. His apparent death devastated her.
Her relationship with her biological father is complicated. Though she has always despised what he does for a living, it took a long time for her to come to terms with how badly he treated her.
Cass’s relationship with her biological mother is even more complex. In most depictions, Cassandra respects Shiva in some ways, but is also troubled by all of the lives that she’s taken.

Positive vibes only bitches
seeing a lot of character hate in my dash and?? ew disgusting. so how about a post about why i love all the Marvel characters ey?
Tony: Pure bean nerd, so tired and so curious about the world around? remember that starry eyed look he had in im2 with the new element?? damn. Also do you not see him caring for inanimate objects like Dummy and U? like wow me too. he is so sentimental and cares so much but is emotionally constipated and can’t show it :/ Also just wants the world to be safe and sure, he makes mistakes but Tony Stark never makes the same mistake twice.
Steve: lawless righteous man. Loyal?? to like a fault but that doesnt remove how freaking powerful he is. he tries to do whats best for the team and it shows and he is really careful about everything. also that little weasle tried to illegally enlist his 90+ lbs asthma self to the army? wow. Steve Rogers is literally teaching us to follow ur dreams and one day you will achieve it. also? art goals.
Natasha: black widow queen baby! .like she’s so wary bcuz of red room and it probably still haunts her and she really wants to be a better person. Red ledger? she’s trying to grab a sponge and a hell of a lot of bleach to clean it out. Knows she made mistakes and is actively trying to fix it and is so strong by doing so <3 plus she will steal ur clothes if she likes you and will beat anyone up and it really shows
Bruce: what a shy lil scientist boy. surprisingly witty and funny? like wow have you seen AoU and Ragnarok? a powerful man regardless of his green. insecurity that reeks across the room but can become so confident so quickly. 7 phds??? damn can you help me with my physics homework pleasE? also is teaching us?? that all things will get better soon and you can do it. Go past all your fears and insecurity because theres a strength inside of you that can be released so easily <3
Clint: what a hecking trickster, probably the super milder version of Loki because he has those™ vibes. honestly just tired and wants to go hope to his family and his dog named lucky. he’s?? so underrated?? and is funny and i really like this character and i hope we get to see more of him/ronin in Endgame <3
Thor: So sweet, like terrifying when he wants to be but such a bright and innocent soul. Definitely the light of the party. Im not gonna lie im really happy they took out his Shakespearean schtick and made him much more relatable and smart. like? “All words are made up” finally!! we can see him for who he really is!! 1500+ year old wise god with powerful skills but empathy. character arc!! used to be a screaming baby with goals of genocide but finally learned the true ways!! and damn if Marvel isn’t all about change. He sees a mess? and he goes and fixes it to the best of his ability
Bucky: haha 1942 science nerd. Legit went to a science expo because he likes it!! he’s also so loyal and confused and is really just tired of war and is filled with regret. He wants to be better and not be a tool. because no more! no more! he got brainwashed first so now he’s going to take control of his life and become the best person he can be!!
Sam: wow?? look at how strong this guy is. his partner died and instead of wallowing and turning to rage he just? decided to help people with PTSD? like thats some major strength right there. he literally is the type of “something bad happens to you? dont let it get you down and help others out” like wow so hecking powerful. quippy sarcastic but well-natured and i strive to be like him!! really underrated!!
T’Challa: Wakan’t do this forever but he tries. he?? took the mantle of King right after his father’s death because he knows he can’t fail everyone else. They need a ruler. And he provides that . freaking best older brother you can ask for, like?? he knows jack shit about Shuri’s references but tries to go with the flow.
Stephen: snark™ king 2.0. do no harm but take no shit. thats literally his character and i love it. really wants to try to find the most peaceful resolution to everything even though he is a major badass and can kill so many enemies so easily. character growth!! like damn he really taught us that it’s not about us. its about the others and it really shows. like wow wheres the love for this guys?
Vision: oh man everyone loves Jarvis and he?? is part of Vision and you can see the Jarvis reeking out. He’s so witty and powerful and damn. Absolute walking computer, you can ask him to play whatever song and he’ll somehow be able to do it. strikes me as a pinocchio kinda guy. i mean a sentient robot in a human world? must be kinda hard to fit in.
Wanda: powerful goddess like damn have you even seen her?? she’s so angry with the world and with loss but is quick to change her views. she changes and thats all that matters. because people don’t stay the same way. She teaches us that it’s possible to change even though it goes against all of your beliefs. Everything that you stand for. she aims to fix her mistakes and learns from them.
Peter: PUREST BEAN. like so stressed with school, but so responsible. Well....unless you disregard all his missing backpacks. he honestly has one goal and that is to help the people. he’s literally the representation of everything we want for a leader. So capable and he knows it and just tries to reach his potential the fastest and quickest he can. plus vine refrences?? says “more expresso less depresso” despite probably disliking coffee. like damn no wonder why everyone just wants to adopt this kid.
Rhodey: Will take none of your bullshit, he sees you with negative thoughts or whatever? will tell you that ur so hecking wrong and you better think better of yourself. so positive but so realistic. tries to do what is best and doesn’t let any silly thing like a disability bring him down. He out there ready to kick some ass and he will do it with style, man. nothing can bring him down.
Scott: World’s greatest grandma. have you seen how nice and parental he is with his daughter? like get me a dad like Scott please i beg. His whole characters surrounds around trying to be the best dad he can be to Cassie. He’s also  funny and witty and a goof but a planner. sees something that can help? will absolutely take it regardless if he knows what the hell is going on or not. he knows that people are smarter than him and won’t take offense because heck yeah you go support!! moral support!!
No hate please!! i will block anyone with any hate comments!! i dont wanna hear it!!! i love all the characters so take your hate somewhere else!!!
