You know what it gets me? Bruce Wayne loved Dick Grayson on purpose. Bruce saw that little boy lose his parents and he took his hand on the same day deciding, I'm going to love you on purpose. I will take care of you. I have no idea on how to take care of a child, I've never imagined myself taking care of one either. But I will try with ever fiber of my being to give you a good life. there needs to be more songs about platonic love. I'm tired of wanting to make a playlist for someone and all of the songs i can find are so sad or just romantic. Wheres the happy songs? Wheres the songs about going out together? Wheres the songs about being everything to each other? why is that reserved for romance? Why isn't platonic love as valued as romantic? I love my friends god damn it. Really just any reducing or sectioning of certain traits to certain batfam members and not allowing other characters to exhibit those same traits (ex: see sunshine Dick Grayson)

But also stealing traits from other characters and projecting them onto someone else (ex: Jason getting Dick's personality in fics. He is not the same type of big brother Dick is canonically)

Purposefully mischaracterizing characters for angst (ex: Dick sent Tim to Arkham, my beloathed. also again see Tim's parents)

Trying really hard to nuclearize the family. They are an unconventional family for many reasons, and that's why they're interesting.
