my opinion on generative ai is very simple. i am a human being. if a human being cannot do the bare basic minimum of writing something (an email. an essay. a fanfic.) why should i read it? if a human person did not write a length of text, what value could there possibly be in my reading it? i am a person. if a person could not even be bothered to create the text they want me to read, why would i ever want to read it? what would be the point? what could i ever gain from it?

if you (general "you", but also you specifically the anonymous person who wrote this) cannot do the bare minimum basic effort of writing a fanfic, why would anyone read the fanfic that you asked chatgpt to generate for you? what would be the point? if you care so little about your own fandom, if you care so little about your own ship, that you cannot expend the bare minimum effort to write fanfic yourself... why would i read the slop you asked chatgpt to produce for you? what would be the point? you don't care. you don't care so much that you're paying an algorithm money to mash random words together because you cannot string words together yourself. why should i read that? why should i lower myself to reading that? why should anyone?

A. OTPs I currently like a lot

I'm back on my Shakarian bullshit (Garrus/Shepard of Mass Effect), but have no plans to write anything (yet), and I'm still brainstorming a million Blackice fics! Also Sefikura (Sephiroth/Cloud), and Megop (Megatron/Optimus Prime) is also threatening to take over, but i dont have the energy to read comics anymore. No other ships at this moment, but i do still have pompous pep in the back of my mind with no plans to write anything

F. What's the longest you've ever been in a fandom?

Oh boy lol

I've been in so many fandoms since I was 12, and have revisited some of the more enduring, including Yugioh, Mass Effect, Danny Phantom, Kingdom Hearts, Invader Zim. I've been a KH fan since I first saw the trailer for the first game, but not very involved in fan-created spaces. I've also been a DP fan since it first aired with a decade long hiatus from it before recently returning, and gen1 YGO and Invader Zim were shows I deeply adored as a teen, but don't really revisit anymore, despite holding them dearly in my heart. I've been a Mass Effect fan since about 2014 or so, and generally dip in and out of that between hyperfixations (like now). Once upon a time, I was a big Attack on Titan fan for about 8 months straight (which is a long time for one hyperfixation to last for me), and Rise of the Guardians has been my most recent fandom and hyperfixation that has last almost 3 years now, and has become extremely precious media to me.

H. What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff?

Probably movies, followed closely by western animation and shows that have actually completed their run, then video games. I like the source to actually be done and over with before getting too deep into a fandom (i obviously can't always control this) because then I don't have to worry about any new information and canon I may need to incorporate into personal headcanons and such and can instead build my love for the thing more organically. I'm not super big on fan-theories or speculation of "what-ifs" and "maybe's" because I just don't have the energy to think that far ahead. I like guessing as much as the next person, but no more than past a "Wouldn't it be neat if-" and leave it at that.

In the modern AU, Pitch has an injury on right side from his previous military service. This has affected his mobility in his shoulder and most of his arm, resulting in stiffness on good days, and muscles fully locking up on bad ones. He wears a brace every now and then, and often follows a pt regimen to keep his mobility up. Every now and then Jack will notice him subconsciously rubbing the spot and will guide Pitch down next to him to offer to massage the area. This helps relax Pitch and keeps his joints and muscles from locking up. Also he just really likes Jack's massages and Jack likes doing this for him.

Needed a bit of a break from studying (almost done!!!) and decided to play around with an OTP prompt generator. I like grabbing a couple of prompts and writing a small thingy based on em, so Imma share em for the funsies

The humid blades of grass tickle the few spots where his armours fails to cover his skin, and the gentle breeze carries a soft yet welcomed aroma of various kinds of wildflowers. The waves crash against the cliffs in an almost rhythmic manner, but her hums manage to keep him from falling asleep completely. He opens one eye in search of the source of the gentle tune, but before he can locate it, he feels something getting placed on his head. He looks up and the sight of a flower crown makes the once chief of the dragon hunters smile gently. "A crown for the king of my heart!" Hilda says with a big smile that Viggo cannot get enough of, almost as warm as the now sinking sun. She rolls over from where she was seated and lays besides him, her smile never leaving her face. She props herself up with her elbow and adjusts the crown, her touch gentle as ever as if she was scared of hurting him by accident. She doesn't avoid his scared side — she had always made sure her caresses and kisses didn't lack in those parts of his body that Viggo sometimes loathed, instead giving them even more attention than usual. The serious businessman cracks a smile at her words and lets his head lean into her touch. "I'm afraid I don't have anything for you in return, my dear. Would a kiss suffice?" He asks, a small smirk forming on his face as he already knows the answer. She leans in and happily takes her reward.

With a tired sigh, Viggo goes over the pile of documents on his desk. Again. And as he does so, he feels like somehow the pages have done nothing but multiply while he wasn't looking. Again. While he greatly enjoys coming up with schemes to best his enemies and learning new information about dragons to later on take advantage of, there is a side of his business he rather dislikes: paperwork. Being the leader of not only an army but also a tribe comes with days filled with nothing but paperwork: reports, contracts of clients, letters sent by his people... The list goes on and on, and so do those pages. Some require little to no focus from him — merely signing them do the work if he had previously approved whatever the contents of the document were. But others... Part of his clientele wasn't as easily to deceive as he'd liked, and as such they would come up with counter offers to deals he had masterfully crafted to ensure higher profits for his business without giving much in exchange (which of course meant bigger losses for the other side, but he had experience hiding that small detail in the contracts). So, Viggo found himself with no other choice but read long, poorly written legal documents that made him feel like he was dealing with morons. Rationally he knew he couldn't just dismiss them, but sometimes he wished he could make all those papers go away with the snap of his fingers. He let out yet another sigh as he turned the document, his eyes tired and dry. His tent was lit by a few candles that did their best to fight the darkness that had long set outside, but he still found himself straining his eyes at the end of each evening as the sun set and natural light failed to illuminate his desk. He rubbed his eyes softly and went back to the paper, when he noticed something. A small piece of paper, carefully stuck to the back of the document he was reading. He took it off without damaging the paper and observed it curiously. It wasn't long until his lips curved up in a smile and his eyes softened as he read the little note. "You are doing great!!! Remember to hydrate!!!! Love you!!!!". He was by now used to the healer's rather... Unique handwriting, and to the little notes she was so keen on hiding around for him to find when he needed them the most. With a gentle chuckle, he folded the paper and saved it in a pocket inside his tunic, close to his heart, before going back to the pile of documents — but now with a smile.
