● so Bruce rented an RV for the batfam to go on a three month coast to coast road trip

● no crime fighting, just family time

FOR AS LONG as you could remember, Stephanie had always been there. Right by your side, in every single situation you could think of, the good ones and the bad ones.

You met her in elementary school, back when you still lived in Gotham, before Oliver Queen had decided to adopt you and you moved to Star City.

You knew about her father and you know how hard it was for Stephanie to see her father in jail, if she even saw him at all because he was absent most of the time. She knew about your parents car crash and about how you lived in an orphanage before the millionaire decided to adopted you

Stephanie was there for you when you first stepped foot into the world in which famous people lived, since being the adopted child of a millionaire made you also famous.

She was there when the media's attention on you started being uncomfortable, when they started criticizing and scrutinizing every single little thing that you did, and later, when it all died down again and they found someone else to give all of their attention to.

Stephanie was also by your side right now, literally. She was lying right next to you in your king-sized bed. The movie you two had been previously watching had ended, you turned off the television in front of you and got comfortable next to her. Her head was still on your chest and her arm was thrown over your stomach, clinging to you tightly.

The longer you stared at her, the more you started asking yourself what in the world you had done to deserve her and you tried to recall the exact moment when the lines between friendship and relationship had crossed but you couldn’t. It just had always been like this. You and Stephanie against the rest.

You lay there for a while, with your eyes staring up at the ceiling and a million and one thoughts flying through your head until you started feeling melancholic.

In an attempt to distract yourself, you looked at your phone for a little while but that had only worsened the situation. Every single website was filled up with things about you, but not really about you.

They were rumoring about you having flings with men, you had no interest in, seeing as you were only just friends with them.

Because, yes, you and Stephanie were out to everyone you know but you never officially stated it in the media that you were dating.

The websites were also wondering about when you’ll be finally marrying a man and who it would be because the only kind of girl they see is either one that has numerous ‘flings’ with different men or a wife.

Tears were welling up in your eyes and your nose started to clog up until you sniffled. Everything was just starting to feel like a little too much.

Apparently you haven't sniffled quiet enough because the arm around you tightened and Stephanie pressed a kiss against your temple. “Shhh,” She whispered. “It’s okay, it’s okay. Just let it all out.”

And that had only made you cry even harder, but not because you were sad, but because you appreciated her so much for putting up with you and all the drama that seemed to follow our every step and slowly, you could feel the lavender haze creeping up on you.

You and Stephanie had recently discovered the term ‘lavender haze’ when you were watching Mad Men and you have been obsessed with it ever since. Ironic, because purple is Stephanie’s favorite color.

You turned your head and buried it into the crook of her neck until you calmed down. “I’m sorry,” You sniffled finally. “I didn’t mean to wake you up. I’m sorry.”

Stephanie pulled your head away to look you directly in the eyes. “Never apologize for crying, okay?” She wiped the tears away from your cheeks. “If you’re not feeling alright you can always come to me. As long as I’m here you never have to do anything alone.”

The frown on your face turned into a sincere smile as you whispered, “God, I love you so much.”

Your girlfriend gave you her best smile, the one that has made you fall in love with her in the first place and she wiggles her eyebrows as she asks, “So what you’re saying is, you’re in a lavender haze?”

Any head cannons for what type of monster/cryptid Duke and Stephanie would be? I don't really see a lot of them in cryptid batfam AUs. Plus any other member of the batfam you'd like to add!

I won’t do major head cannons for everyone else but I will list them out!

Duke Thomas:

There isn’t really a word for what Duke is but the closest comparison is the Michigan Dogman. He’s not a werewolf; his transformations aren’t tied to the moon or cycles or anything like that. When he transforms it’s not bloody or violent, it’s more like his body is just slowly filling out. Like a balloon that only just realized it was half filled with air. Compared to the rest of the Bats he feels a little lack luster and doesn’t bring up his abilities much, leading to the other sometimes forgetting he can transform at all.

Because he’s not a werewolf, the common ways to kill a werewolf don’t work on him. Silver isn’t a big deal, unless their bullets because bullets can kill Duke no issue. That’s just because they’re bullets. Duke is torn between thinking it’s funny and thinking it’s annoying that everyone seems to forget he’s not a werewolf but he ignores it.

It’s a long time before he feels comfortable transforming in front of everyone else. Things are always less dramatic with Duke and he feels a little guilty that everyone else has to suffer. The thought quickly leaves his mind as they start to prank him and then he’s over it. The first time he transforms in the cave it brings a lot of stares, the others knowing that he can but having never seen it firsthand. It’s a huge show of trust and it’s treated as such.

Stephanie Brown:

Stephanie would be a banshee. She has a habit of being very loud and very firm about what’s right and wrong. She’s not the only banshee running around Gotham (Blank Canary hint hint) but she’s rare enough that people don’t always know what she is. It makes it easier to blend it and be ‘human’ but she can get sick of it.

Her abilities are very powerful and it causes a lot of tension between her and Bruce. He firmly believes that people should have control of their powers all the time but it’s hard for Stephanie, especially because her powers are fueled by her emotions. It’s one of the reasons that she doesn’t last long as Robin; her emotions are her strength but they aren’t Batman’s. They get along better now that Steph is doing her own thing but it’s still a sore spot.

She’s only completely lost control of her powers once, becoming the horror stories that most people think of when they hear banshee. She lost all physical form and was constantly howling, running around downtown and causing issues. It wasn’t her fault (a villain of the week got lucky) but it takes most of the other Bats to get her under control. She’s really embarrassed about it after but Tim and Cass are very impressed. They can tell she cares because she holds back. Even if they’re going to need a hearing test after that.

Request - I don’t see much love for Spoiler so could you do a Stephanie Brown x reader fluff.

It's snowing in Gotham, everyone is excited about it. Everyone starts to put on their winter clothes and grabbed their sleds. They head to the park where there is a huge hill, is covered with so much snow.

“Are you sure about this?” Y/n asked.

“It will be fun. Have you done this before?” Stephanie asked.

Wally put his arms around Y/n and Stephanie’s shoulders.

“Don’t be a chicken right now. This will be so much fun. Are you guys ready?” Wally asked.

“Yeah,” Stephanie and Y/n said.

Everyone gets on the hill and sits on their sleds. Now, everyone starts to go downhill, some are screaming because of the speed and others are cheering.

Y/n, Conner, and Wally fell off their sleds. Stephanie and Dick slowed down but Miss Martian, and Garfield used their powers to slow down.

“Are you guys okay?” Dick asked.

“Yeah, I'm fine but I think my heart jumped out of my chest,” Y/n said.

Y/n is still lying in the snow.

“Yeah! It was scary but fun” Wally giggled.

Stephanie helped them get up. Now everyone is throwing snow at each other. There is no team, but some are using powers to throw snowballs. Zatanna used magic to throw snowballs, Then Connor and Wally used speed to throw snowballs.

“Today, was fun” Stephanie smiled.

“That wasn't fair but we still had a good time,” Stephanie said.

She wrapped her arms around Y/n’s shoulders. She starts to kiss Y/n on the lips and they smile at each other. Then Y/n starts to kiss her neck.

Later, they drink their hot chocolate. Then they fell asleep while watching tv and Stephanie cuddled with Y/n.

“I got you, Y/n,” Stephanie said.

She has her arms around Y/n.

“I will get a blanket,” Wally said.

Wally used speed to grab the blankets and give them to Y/n.

“Y/n will be fine. Make soup, tea, and blankets around Y/n to stay warm” Dick said.

At home, Stephanie bought soup from a restaurant and Y/n starts to eat it. She touched Y/n’s forehead.

“Still cold but you are starting to get warm,” Stephanie said.

“Is Terra okay?” Y/n asked.

“Yes, she is okay,” Stephanie said.

Terra came over to check up on Y/n.

“Thanks, Y/n for saving me. I got this for you it's soup, Stephanie told me about your favorite snacks and tea” Terra said.

“Thanks for getting that for me” Y/n smiled.

Terra hugged Y/n and she left. Stephanie cuddles with Y/n in the bed. She made sure to grab the extra blankets. Later, the others did text Stephanie to see how Y/n is doing.

Everyone is watching the tv and the countdown started. Everyone starts to count and then yelled Happy New Year. Stephanie kissed Y/n on the lips and Y/n kissed her back.

“Y/n, do want to move in with me? You always spend nights at my place... So why not make it official...” Stephanie said.

“Is that why you have been acting strange?” Y/n asked.

“Yes, because I wasn't sure what your answer would be. This is my first serious relationship” Stephanie said.
