No most definitely they are great grades (i wish i got that oml) but I feel like those overachieving bastards would want 100s.
Maybe only Tim, actually. Bern is kind of forced to care bc of his parents.
(Sighh Bernard Dowd they don't love you like I do...)
Sometime at Grieve Memorial Highschool:
BEFORE TEST:
Bernard, who did not study, convinced he's gonna ace it: we got this?
Tim, who was to busy punching nazis or whatever, but still sure he can ace it: We got this.
AFTER TEST (unbeknownst to them, it was one of those bring all your notes, use any source, hire a tutor kinda tests):
Bernard, strained, fake cheery voice: We're gonna get hundreds! *forced smile*
Tim, done with it all, convinced he's gonna end up on the streets, jason todd style, because of one lousy grade: We, as in both of our scores combined, will get a single one hundred
(it wasn't that bad. tim got an 89 and bernard a 78)

i LOVEEEE that the marauders fandom has crazy unique ship names, I really do, but oh my LORD does it get me tight sometimes.
I was looking for Lily/Remus, right? So i searched moonflower on ao3 only to get like 1000 fics that were NOT about the two of them.
And normally i wouldn't be mad, because icl "moonflower" if a fire title. But while looking through the fics, with childish hope i would see my ship of choice, i stumbled upon it.
A Damian Wayne/Tim Drake fic.
Not only was it fandom whiplash, it was incest. On the wifi my mother pays for?!?
So yeah. I needa bleach my eyes now.
But honestly, I could never hate our shipnames. Keep on doing what you're doing marauders fandom.

YES!! OH MY DAYS, YES.
Ugh the bastard would hide it from anyone and everyone.
But it's okay, because for WEEKS after the "Ace Incident" his kids would constantly hold fingers up in front of his face saying, "how many? how many, bruce, c'mon, how many?"
Duke starts toying with the light to make things invisible, but he acts like Bruce is losing even more vision. All the others play along.
Bruce complains to Alfred to which he responds, "perhaps if you did not throw yourself in crime, you would retain your mother's good eyesight."
(Now that the cat's out of the bag, Bruce finally gets glasses, and they make his eyes 12x bigger. His kids keep calling him "Buttercup," like the powerpuff girl.)
All the Batkids Need Glasses
Dick and Cass: They don't wear them. Dick got prescribed at 10 and Cass at 15, but they both haven't touched their glasses since the first week they got them. Since Dick was a kid when he got them, he thought they looked nerdy so he didn't wear them. The glasses also kept falling when he flipped, so he just didn't wear them from there on. For Cass, she just doesn't like the feeling. She never gave them a chance bc they were uncomfortable, so she never got used to the feeling of glasses. Luckily for the both of them, they have the lightest prescription out of the bats
Jason and Damian: They do wear their glasses, but only when they are alone. They weren't allowed to have glasses in the league because it was seen as a weakness, but Talia gave them both pairs to use in their private quarters. Damian still believes that mindset, so he only wears the glasses around Jason or if he's alone, usually drawing. Jason doesn't believe that glasses are a weakness, but he's usually out as Red Hood or in disguise. And if he's not out as Red Hood, he usually forgets. He only remembers to wear them when he's reading, with Dami (to make him feel better abt the glasses), or with Roy (he reminds him).
Tim: He only wears them at work or with Bernard. He thinks the glasses help w/ the whole "smart CEO" persona, so he wears them to meetings and stuff. It's good publicity too because his fans go crazy over the glasses. Y'know who also goes crazy? Bernard. Bernard is like reallyyyyyy into Tim with glasses, so Tim usually wears them around him. Aside from being w/ Bern or at work, though, he doesn't wear them.
Steph: She does wear them, but she's really bad at it. Her glasses are always dirty, covered in smudges and with dust inside the joints. Whenever someone borrows them, their first comment is always about how dirty her glasses are. And when her glasses aren't foggy on her face, they are on a random desk or hanging off her shirt. They get lost often. Very often. But she tries, and that's all that matters.
Duke: He's the only one who wears his glasses properly. He wears them everyday, takes them off for photos and galas, and wears contacts for patrol. Bruce is very proud of him. It's very refreshing to have a kid who actually listens to their doctor.
Bruce, the lucky man, somehow doesn't need glasses. All of his kids envy him for it.

Damian Wayne is the Robin of the Robins
Okay so we've all seen the, "Robin belongs to Bruce Wayne, but you Damian Wayne, shall be mind" in regards to Dick but idk I rlly feel like Damian is who all the Robin's live vicariously through. Like js hear me out
Dick Grayson: This one is self explanatory. Damian was LITERALLY his robin. I don't need to say more, but I will anyway. Dick loves that little guy so much, and he has so many thoughts about the Robin mantle being passed on to him. Dick knows Damian needed it, would be so much worse if he didn't have it. But he wishes Damian didn't need it to be fulfilled. He kind of understands how Bruce felt when he first made Dick, Robin.
Jason Todd: My personal (half the fandom accepts it) headcannon is that Jason and Damian both came from the league, so for Jason that's his first little brother (he met Dami before Tim). So while Jason is oh so very proud of his baby brother, he's also scared every night. Sometimes he paces around his apartment/safe house, damn near praying even though he hasn't believed in God for a long time, that Damian is safe. Another part of him though, the part that he shows to Damian, is how happy he is that Damian is 10x the Robin he was. Damian was properly trained before he became Robin, was taken under the wing of a former Robin and then was first out on the streets besides the first Robin. Jason loves seeing Damian on patrol, and just- having it together. He knows what he's doing. That's all Jason could ever ask for.
Tim Drake: Okay so this one is a teeny weeny bit more tricky, but I'll try. Tim is smart and intelligent because he had to be. He was smart before he was strong. Damian on the other hand, was born with a sword in his hand. He's very smart, yes, but it didn't come to him like it did for Tim. As for Tim, he had to train for every bit of strength he has. They're so different in that aspect (many others too) that it circles back into similarity. Another thing, is that a lot of people overlook the fact they both love(d) their parents. Tim loved Jack and Janet, and Damian loves Talia. But no one really sees the good in them. I don't know I feel like only Bruce would really get that Talia, Jack, and Janet had good in them. The rest of the family would hear "gone often," and "league" then make up their minds. Tim and Damian get it. They get each other. Then with Damian taking up the Robin mantle, Tim would be pissed, but then get it. He gets that Damian needs robin like he needed Robin. So he watches Damian swing from the rooftops, wearing red, green, and yellow, and he smiles. Smiles because Robin is in good hands.
Stephanie Brown: Before I explain, I'm like reaaaally confused on Steph and Tim's robin. I don't know if it was Tim than Steph than Tim, or Tim, Steph, Damian. (someone please explain it to me) But for either one, lets just say Steph was either not Robin yet and therefore didn't have any feels about it when Tim was Robin, or when Robin was given back to Tim, she was too jealous/busy doing her own thing. With Damian, the jealousy was back for only a second. But she's older, and more mature now. She gets why he's Robin. He's a damn good one, too. Whenever he does something crazy (in a good way), she sometimes thinks she never could have done that when she was Robin. As Spoiler? Yes. But as Robin? No. So I feel like she's crazy happy for Damian that he gets to be Robin.
Overall, Damian is not JUST Dick's Robin. He's an amalgamation of every Robin who came before him, and he's entirely himself at the same time. He's a way for all of the batkids to take Robin back from Bruce. Robin was never Bruce's, no matter how much he thought it to be. When Damian is out as Robin, he's not fighting crime for Batman. He's a symbol of hope. Of joy, and wit, and laughter, and resilience. And he's that for the people of Gotham, but also to his older brothers and sister. To carry on the legacy that they left behind for him.

"girl with one eye" by florence + the machine but it's "boy with four eyes" and its sung by regulus to james.
heavy on the "get your filthy fingers out of my pie (sirius)" and "i'll cut your little heart out, cause you made me cry (either still about sirius or jegulus)"

What if when Voldemort comes to the Potter house to kill them, James actually succeeds in protecting his family, but he still dies. Lily and Harry on the other hand, live.
Evan dies serving the dark lord and Barty is going a little mad (as he should). Voldemort is still alive somehow, but now Lily and Barty hate his guts more than anyone in this world.
Since Lily is there as a witness, Sirius is safe and Peter goes to jail instead.
Time-skip to Harry in Hogwarts, Barty has a job as himself, and he teaches potions instead of Snape. Him and Harry actually get close, because Barty knows he lost his dad to Voldemort, and he sympathizes.
Harry raves to Lily about Barty, so she sends him a letter like "thanks for your kindness," or whatever, and Barty responds w/ smth like, "no problem, Harry is a pleasure to have in class."
They start sending letters back and forth, then both join the order, bond over Harry, then fall in love.
I like to think Sirius actually gave them the push to get together. With Lily it would go like: "Remus and I were talking, and we know you fancy Crouch." Lily would be quick to sputter a response denying, but Sirius would cut her off with. "It's okay Lily. Really. Listen, I say you go for it. He's proven he's changed, he doesn't serve the dark lord, and he cares for Harry for whatever reason. James-" a pause, "James wouldn't want you to die all alone. I know you have Rem, Mary and I, but you deserve this too."
That would knock some sense into her head and she would think about it for a while.
For Barty it would be more like: "Crouch." Barty would raise a brow, "Sirius." Sirius would sigh, knowing why he didn't dare call him by his last name. "Reggie talked about you, y'know." Barty's eyes would snap up. "Say you were a git and a pain in the ass, but you care. He's say you protect the ones you love and stay loyal to them till the end. I know you have feeling for Lily." Sirius would pause, but Barty didn't dare deny. He knew it was true. "And as one of her closest friends, I say go for it. She deserves happiness, and, I don't know. I guess you do too." Cue Barty muttering thanks, then steering the conversation towards Regulus. (They both cried at the end)
BOOM! Things happen, Voldemort is dead, and on summer break Barty goes to the Potter house. Lily's out, buying food for a party later in the day, but Harry is home. Barty is let in, and they talk for a while, but he's visibly nervous. "I don't mind if you get with my mum," Harry says eventually. Barty looks at him shocked, "you...don't?" Harry sighs, "don't tell Padfoot I said this, but you're sort of...I don't know, like a father figure to me. So I don't mind you sticking around. And you make my mum happy. She's always grinning stupidly when she reads your letters. So, yeah. I don't mind." Barty says thanks, and they hug it out.
When Lily comes home, Barty helps decorate and prepare for the party. It goes swell, and there's drinks and celebration. At the end, when Barty is helping Lily clean, he confesses. "I've been in love with you for a long time. I- I love everything about you. From the person you are to the family you've made. I would be honored if you let me be a part of it." Lily is awestuck, for only a second, before kissing Barty senseless.
And they've been together ever since!! (they grow old together)
