Rasa & Graha/planets : The Divine Choreography of Emotions and Planets.
In the grand theater of life, each day is a stage, and each of us, a dynamic performer embodying various rasa—the essence of emotion—and the celestial influences of the grahas. Our moods, decisions, longings, fears, joys, and actions are deeply intertwined with these timeless energies.
Tumblr media
🌸 Śṛṅgāra (Love, Beauty) – Venus (Shukra)
Expressed in the way we dress, beautify our spaces, flirt, form romantic bonds, or relish aesthetic pleasure. When Venus is strong, our hearts open to grace, art, poetry, and the sweetness of life. Even a simple smile becomes an offering of love.
🔥 Vīra (Courage, Heroism) – Mars (Mangala)
Seen in our ability to face a challenge, take bold actions, stand for truth, or push through a workout. Mars fuels the drive to protect, pursue, and persist. The fire in your belly before a big move? That’s Vīra rasa in full blaze.
🌊 Karuṇā (Compassion, Sadness) – Moon (Chandra)
Felt in the soft ache of seeing someone cry, in longing, grief, or in a moment of deep empathy. The Moon governs emotional tides—how we mother others and ourselves. It makes us soft, receptive, and deeply human.
Tumblr media
⚔️ Raudra (Anger, Fury) – Ketu + Mars
This arises in injustice, betrayal, or moments where truth must be defended with force. It can be destructive if unrefined, but when channeled, it becomes the fire of transformation. It breaks illusions and demands boundaries.
🌿 Śānta (Peace, Tranquility) – Saturn (Shani) + Jupiter (Guru)
Present in still mornings, deep meditation, surrender, and detachment. When we accept life as it is and find calm amidst chaos, Shanta rasa blooms. It is the rasa of sages, the fruit of inner discipline and wisdom.
🌠 Adbhuta (Wonder, Awe) – Jupiter + Mercury
Reflected in childlike curiosity, awe of the universe, or the sudden inspiration while reading or learning. This rasa makes us question, explore, and discover the magic in the mundane.
😆 Hāsya (Humor, Joyful Laughter) – Mercury (Budh)
Embodied in jokes, light-heartedness, clever wit, and play. It’s a balm that heals the serious weight of life, loosening rigidity. Mercury makes us adapt, communicate, and laugh at life’s paradoxes.
😖 Bībhatsa (Disgust, Aversion) – Ketu / Saturn
Seen when we recoil from falsehood, impurity, or violation of values. This rasa teaches discernment. It asks: what no longer belongs in your space, body, mind, or soul?
Tumblr media
🌫 Bhayānaka (Fear, Anxiety) – Rahu + Moon
Rises in uncertainty, shadow projections, and survival instincts. But fear isn’t the enemy—it’s the veil to be pierced. When integrated, it becomes a guide to navigate unknown terrains with awareness.
Each rasa is a doorway. Each planet is a force.
Together, they shape the inner dance of our being—our reactions, our stories, our growth.
✨ When we bring awareness to these currents within, we no longer drown in them—we start surfing them, composing our unique rasa-leela, the divine play of self.
🪐 What rasa has been dominant in your life lately? Which planet is teaching you right now?
Sharing my perspective and learning with you all
Astrology is a study of time/kaal। Life is Leela । Every emotion & life is experienced to the fullest and then transcended . The essense of Tantra। Inner alchemy। The planets are within us।

When do you stop putting yourself down? Stop telling yourself you’re ugly? You’re not enough? You’re not worthy? You come second? When does all this self-abuse end? When you get the Porsche on your vision board? When you get the ring? The man? The baby? The house? The six-figure job? The designer handbag? Because the truth is, getting the above might soothe you, it might put the band-aid on the wound…but the wound is still there!
You have to make peace with yourself regardless of where you’re at in life. You have to learn to love yourself where you are, because if you can’t love, respect, and honour yourself being broke, or being in your most natural form how will you do this once you’re in a relationship? Once you have more money? Once you have the surgery? Do you magically love yourself and respect yourself? If you can’t take care and love yourself and accept yourself as you are, in this very moment, with all your perfect imperfections, in your single season, in your times of difficulty then there is some serious work to be done…. Self-love is your foundation, so make sure you’re building a house on love and not self-hate as you navigate through your growth season.

Which hit me hard but
My answer was...

Things therapists have to report:
(this is for everyone under 18 who speaks to a councillor/therapist. There are certain things they HAVE to report to your parents/careers, and for anyone who doesn't want them to know, you should avoid talking about these topics. Stay safe always xx)
Self harm (of ANY type)
Addictions (that could threaten your life/physical health)
Purging (making yourself sick)
Suicide plans
If you know of anyone else's SH/suicide plans
Harassment
Planning to run away
Homicidal ideation
Sexual abuse (you/others)
Physical abuse (you/others)
Domestic violence
Current or future crime concerning the safety of you/others
Neglect of you/others
Non-consensual sex (corrosion, pressure, unable to explicitly consent, drunk, high...)
Grooming (forming a connection with a young person with the intent to use them for illegal/sexual acts)
Threats to your physical health (this one is quite vague, and changes depending on the laws of different places, but I'm just gonna go with the general consensus. If you're taking life-threatening amounts of drugs, not eating for a dangerous amount of time...)
Drugs/alcohol (this really depends on your age and to what extent. Most of what I've read says this will be confidential unless is an excessive amount or you are really young. This probably mainly depends on the therapist's ethics and the laws)
This might not be 100% accurate, depending on your therapist, your history, and the laws of where you live. However, this is a mix of personal experience and anything I could find online. If there is ANYTHING I missed, please comment and I will add it.
Not everyone has parents/carers who are safe to talk to about touchy subjects. Sometimes, the safer option is to speak selective truths until you are eighteen and can gtfo of whatever situation you are in. I am not condoning lying, but the reality is that a lot of children are not safe with the people meant to protect them.
!BTW! :
If you need to know whether your therapist will report it, and you're not 100% sure, then ask a hypothetical. Say, 'Hypothetically, if my friend tells her therapist that she <whatever you need to know> would they have to report it?'
