Ok, so, you know that a lot of the times Lex (when he HAD hair) is a red head, or at least was.

Now, Kon is like and half Clone, because he's got bot Superman and Lex Luthor DNA, so technically he got the redhead gene.

After this premesis let's talk about Tim clone problem and Timkon clone baby. So Tim mixed his DNA with the one of Kon and ended up in a baby. Usually in fics the baby ends up resembling Tim or Kon or both of them, so with Black hair and blue eyes and all, what if the baby ended up resembling both Lex and Janet Drake, so with Lex red hair and Janet eyes, and for face a mixture of both Kon and Tim?

Do I have a twin. . .

No seriously does he have an unknown twin cause standing at the register is a guy that looks so much like him, but not exact enough to be a clone.

We both have pitch black hair the same thick and soft kind but his is infinitely more fluffy and wild like his Red Robin look, bright blue eyes with analytical intelligents and slightly unhinged but his are more icey in color and somehow more dead inside,both our body types are small soft and lean with muscle, small waist, and rounded in the hips, shoulders in mid range, but he has more curves with his shape he's also worriedly more skinny to an unhealthy degree even in my standards, face shapes similar but his are little more angle too it, hell even our voices are similar his being softer and a little deeper than mine

What made me really catch my attention was the fact that he's coffee intake is just as death inducing as mine maybe even more deadly. Hes eye bags are worse then mine from what I can see from here which is across the fucking room.

So I have reasonably concluded that he is my twin. I mean there was a popular rumor that Janite was pregnant with twins and gave one up to adoption as soon they came out with how big she got. Maybe it was true when I am look at someone who has to be related to me.

Though this begs the question where he has been the entire time, He may be visiting with how he has an Midwestern accent but he also holds himself like an Gotham native.

" They uhh want to 'help make Gotham more prepared for dangers that may arise in the haunting world' their words not mine"tilting his head slightly to the left "to be fair I think the bats have all that covered, no need to interfere and cause more problems than what it's worth" grumbling under his breath " Don't want them to get on the bats radar cuz they are doing reckless shit and I have to clean it up"

Halloween prompts year 2 day 7

Danny sees a 30 minute video in his recommendations titled: Why Red Robin and Phantom should never meet, and honestly? The more he watches the more he immediately wants to fly to New Jersey and declare Red Robin and Spoiler his new friends

Tim sees the same video and is losing his mind cause this is how he learns about the Anti ecto acts and about a Lazarus hell portal being open in a small city in Illinois for two years without the JL knowing anything!

He needs to save this guy before he gets himself...okay. Maybe its a little late for that but his point still stands!

It has nothing to do to him liking how many unhinged situations him and Phantom could get away with. Nothing!

RR could hardly believe it when Phantom showed up on his patrol a few nights later, offering to give him a tour of the ghost zone (at least what Danny had mapped out already) in return for some assistance against Vlad, the GIW, the Fentons and help him get Danny and Jazz Fenton rights to thiwr parents patents and machines so the government can't steal them...and maybe set up a place for them to live until they're 18

Also he wanted to know how cool RR was with clones.

Tim gets a thermos and immediately sucks Phantom up, apologizes claiming he needed to test it to make sure it was legit, and they go one thier way. Dannys just glad he didn't give him a blaster.

They become best friends, prank the other bats, terrorize all of thier enemies, ect.

The real problems start when Danny "can't recognize ethics unless its actively hurting someone" Fenton and Tim "always one and a half steps from turning into a supervillian" Drake start taking things a bit too far riding off of eachothers excitement

Jazz Smith has made Lex Luther cry on three separate occasions, though she will remain adamant that the first and third time weren’t her fault. The first time, he cried because she thought he was an old man who was lost and he had to explain in detail who he was. The third time was firmly on Bruce Wayne’s shoulders. He was the one who had bumped into him, spilling his drink on his suit. Jazz was just trying to clean up the mess. How was she supposed to react when she saw the bomb strapped to his chest? Panic?

No, she simply made a fuss and used her minor tech abilities to make it look like the juice had turned off the bomb, leading to her loudly wondering why he was stupid enough to strap a fragile bomb to his chest. She just wanted to shake him, not make him cry.

(After that day, Oliver Queen hired her to work for him. Dinah quickly adopts Jazz emotionally, with Roy acting as a big brother. Lian adores her auntie Jazz)

Samantha Drake was a problem child, according to almost everyone who met her. She was a goth child who hated acting prim and proper like their parents wanted. Tim was the only one who understood her, supporting her veganism and later helping her prank Batman. (She and Bruce were rough and angry with each other in the beginning, but they still stayed in contact. Bruce grew to admire her stubbornness and conviction, while Sam could begrudgingly admit Bruce was a good man when he wanted to be.)

(She and Bruce never spoke about the night where they sat side by side on the clock tower. It was Jason’s death date, the first one since she and Tim had debuted as Robin and Crow. They never talked about how Sam admitted she knew grief, and she let herself tell Bruce a little about Danny. Only Alfred knew that the two spent the night reminiscing, sharing stories and anecdotes, until they arrived in the cave. None of them talked about the brief hug, the first hug Bruce had ever given her. They never acknowledged that night again.)

Tucker Thomas never left the Narrows, forging a birth certificate that labeled him as 19, even though he was barely 15. Duke didn’t call him on it. He visited often though, always keeping a suspicious eye on Bruce. He didn’t trust the man.

(Damian was the only one who bluntly asked him why he glared at Bruce. Tucker couldn’t figure out how to explain it at first, so he channeled his inner Danny. “He gives off fruitloop vibes. Gotta make sure he doesn’t start going all crazy with things like cloning or becoming obsessed with green goo.” Tucker immediately noticed how much Damian stiffened at that, but he didn’t say anything.)

Dante Constantine was only a child in demon years, though he looked like he was a teenager. He was doing home schooling for the time being as John worked with the bats to get papers made. He was a social and happy kid, smiling and chaotic but nothing cruel or barbed.

(John noticed how his son stared at the stars with a longing nothing seemed to satisfy. He noticed how warily Dante stared at the toaster, and how the terrible nightmares that caused his son to sob for hours often involved names like “Jazz” “Sam” “Tucker”. Most of all, he never forgot how his ex mentioned that Dante’s soul had been older, much older than it should be. John saw it too. He was more concerned in the slowly healing cracks in his son’s soul.)

Tonight, all four of them would be attending a party thrown by an old friend of Constantine’s.

I think it would be really funny if Tim kept up one very specific connection he made during Young Justice. One that no one but Tim and his team know about. One of the most dangerous beings in all the Universe.

Lobo The Space Biker.

The Main Man Himself, who has either tied or beaten Superman in a number of different comics *and* shows. When he showed up during the Justice Leauge Animated show, the entire JL (minus Clark) had to work together to just *barely* keep him in line and even *then* they did not command full authority nor respect from him. He is a top tier threat almost everytime he is spotted.

And I can only think of one person who he canonically will do basically whatever they say.

Tim Drake.

Tim managed to reign Lobo in multiple times during their adventures together, and no I don't mean the weaker clone. I mean The Real Actual Lobo (who had been turned into a teen by Klarion at the start of their friendship but *still*) does what if asked of him by Tim Drake, up to and including *walking away from unfinished fights*. Evidence by the time Tim got him to not fight the Space Cops right before The Baseball Game and got him and Big Bear to stop fighting when both wanted to continue.

All this to say, some kind of all hands on deck happens and the JL needs some back up for some kind of invasion and Tim says, "I have someone who owes me a few favors and it pretty strong." And makes a phone call. All the JL can hear is Tim as he says, "hey, Lil- I'm cashing in a favor... Yeah there's an invasion about to happen... Yes, you are the first person I call for Cracking Skulls, of course.... yes well, with or without you it's happening in an hour. Get here sooner and after we can have an extra meeting... of course I'll make the usual tea, plus Lavender and Rose cookies~... yes I know you very well.... see you in 25 minuets Lil." And he hangs up.

30 minutes later, Lobo breaks into the Watch Tower and the whole JL is like "WE DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS DAMN IT." until Tim walks past them saying, "Lil! I got some cookies, they're chocolate chunk." And Lobo simply replies, "you know me so fraggin well, Runt."

Tim gets placed on Lobo's shoulder and they start talking about where Lobo will be so he can Crack the most skulls.

I don't know enough about Lobo (so thank you for the explanations), but I am all for Tim's friendship powers.

I don't know how he does it, but he's constantly nestling himself into villainous or morally grey characters' soft spots. Is there a list out there of folks that, for all intents and purposes, shouldn't like Tim but got bedazzled by his friendship charm?

Anyways, I'd love a 5 plus one fic of Tim being like: "Oh? We've got this problem? Hold up. I know a guy." Then he just calls up someone he definitely shouldn't be friends with. They act like the best of buds, too.

He meets Bernard. His dad learns he’s Robin. Tim quits being Robin. Stephanie becomes Robin for a bit? Tim goes back to being Robin. His dad is murdered by captain boomerang. Stephanie died? Jason comes back to life? There’s a school shooting and his public school is closed. He goes to a different high school. Bruce tried to adopt him and he invents a fake uncle. Stephanie is alive. Jason playfully tries to kill him/commit acts of psychological warfare? Damian shows up. He’s no longer Robin. Bruce goes missing in time/dead? Jason tried to kill him again? Red Robin era. He dropped out of high school. Bruce is alive, Tim was right. Oh Tim just realized he’s bisexual and he has to save his crush from the pain cult. They’re boyfriends now. He lives on a boat. He’s 18/19

All the while he was in teen titans and young justice. His best friend died. He did cloning experiments? He watched Santa die?? He traveled the multiverse several times? Stephanie was pregnant at some point? He dated so many girls? His future self is evil and loves to psychologically torment his present day self? He’s gunbatman?????? He was trapped in a 3x3 cell for months and everyone assumed he died and moved on??? His boyfriend is in a cult???

When did you have the time Tim? When?

I know this timeline isn’t 100% accurate but it is the history of at least 3 comic runs told from memory

Fictober23 Prompt: 4 - "Do you even know what this means?"

Tim stared at his family with pure exhaustion before letting out a sigh while covering his face with his hands because of the worried looks they were sending him after his long rant.

It had all started with a stupid school project. It was just supposed to be a stupidly simple school project. Did he think of the whole thing as the greatest nonsense project his school has ever come up with? Yes. Did he still do it? Yes. He needed the extra credits, because of some stupid meetings he had missed other projects which was the entire reason he took part in this one.

Maybe he should have tried buying his grade out of it like all the other snobbish rich kids but then he would feel guilty and the moment Alfred found out, he would have to life with the disappointed™ look. Something he really didn't want to deal with. So instead he took part in this stupid ancestry project his school had organized.

But when he had allowed the school to send in his DNA he certainly did not expect the result he got back. Because when he opened the email, he noted that it was addressed to someone named Danny Fenton not Tim Drake, he didn't even read the rest really. That should have been his first warning.

His second warning was when he had hacked into the that DNA testing facility to actually get his results back and then found a note on his data file about a near 100% DNA match to one Danny Fenton which caused them to assumed that Tim was Danny and just had sent in his DNA a second time after, he peaked through his finger onto the screen, 5 years. That should have been his second warning.

But no, Tim had actively ignored all the warnings and decided to dig into who this Danny Fenton was. Because there were so many possibilities of how they could match but only so little to explain the time difference between them sending in the DNA samples. For dear good Tim hoped to all things that there wasn't someone else to have attempted to clone him before Ra, no worse even, he hoped HE wasn't the clone in this situation.

Really he didn't want to add existential crisis to all the problems and cases he already had to deal with.

So what does one do best when they learn there was someone with nearly the same DNA you have? He looked that someone up. So that was what Tim did next. He had spent nights looking up anything he could find, summarizing all the information he found, branching off when he found other concerning stuff and then stewed in some frustration of the incompetence of some people when discovering other facts.

In the end Tim compiled all the data he had found into a 30 slides long power point. That he had presented to his family and was awaiting their reaction. Bruce had grunted earlier and the demon brat had huffed out something in between slight 25 and 26 earlier. Jason had muttered something right at the beginning and Dick had stayed quiet the entire time, so did Cass. Steph hadn't said a thing either and Duke looked just puzzled.

"Do you even know what that means?" Demon brat finally broke the silence, causing Tim's eye to twitch before aggressively pointing to his last slide still on the presenter.

"Yes, I do know what this means. I have listed all possibilities right here if you haven't noticed. And i explained possibility three, four and six on slide-"

"Replacement. I don't think that's what the brat means." Jason cut in and Tim glared at him.

"Timmy, when was the last time you slept?" Dick carefully asked and Tim directed his glare at him.

"I believe Master Timothy hasn't slept for about 72 hours now." Alfred added in with that disapproving stare of him and time looked away stubbornly. How was the amount of sleep he got relevant right now? There was a possibility of him being a clone or someone having cloned maybe even years before he started to follow B around as a kid with a camera.

Bruce let out a sigh and Steph appeared to try to hide a chuckle leaning on Cass shoulder. "He must be lacking sleep if he doesn't see the most obvious possibility considering the time line he presented on slide 18."

"Oh so, I am not the only one thinking he is missing another obvious possibility?" Duke asked and once more Tims eye twitched. Getting fed up with his family, Tim huffed and crossed his arms, glaring at them all.

"And what is it that I am obviously missing?"

"The screenshot of the mail you put in slide 3 stated that it's not a 100% match but 89%. In addition it stated in the last line a suspected possibility of a familiar relation. I am disappointed, Drake. That you would miss something this obvious."

"What?" Tim whirled around going to the slide to reread the mail.

"Considering that I am pretty sure, we don't have any sort of cloning case here Tim." Dick started his voice now slightly laced with Humor and Tim narrowed his eyes at his older brother over his shoulder. "You just discovered that you had a twin, that we probably still go to rescue."

Tim's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. He did not know what to say and before he could even catch up with what his brothers had said Alfred was already behind him pushing him towards the elevator.

"It is time for you to get some sleep Master Timothy. I am sure Master Bruce and the others will be perfectly able to handle the rest of the situation with the information you compiled. You can join them after you have rested."

DC Prompt: Kon Gaslights, Gatekeeps, Girlbosses Tim into a nuclear family.

(Just a little something my brain cooked up)

Conner Kent had learned to treasure what life had given him, and be rid of the things that impeded him. That's why Conner loved Martha and John Kent and held absolute disrespect for Clark Kent aka Superman. He grew to be possessive of the things he considered his, obsessive almost - something he suspected had to do with Lex Luthor's DNA. And despite what some may say, Tim Drake is his. The first to ever look at him and see a person, the first to teach him about the beauty and reality of living, the first to ever prioritise him. So of course Kon had to return the favour. Kon loved Tim Drake, and he won't stand for his love to be exploited by the Bats any longer. He'd long since learned the art of manipulation at the hand of a master manipulator like Tim Drake. And he will use it without remorse to get Tim out of that toxic fucking family no matter what.

It starts with Kon hinting about eventually wanting children. It continues with Kon pretending to be sad about the fact they can't have kids with both his and Tim's DNA. When Tim tentatively Brings up the idea of using the same cloning tech as Luthor, Kon tells him that would be a great idea someday.

There was a bit of a hiccup when Kon briefly died. But apparently It turned everything in his favour because when he was alive again, Tim had been burned almost catastrophically by the Bats and had turned to him in tears feeling guilty about creating their test tube children during his death. Their kids were only a month old by the time Kon returned and Tim had fixed the Bat family's problems. Kon didn't turn Tim away like he had feared. No, for Kon this was the best news he had ever heard - he was elated. He was prepared for his plan to need 10 years to come into fruition but it turned out amazingly well during his death - of course Tim being incredibly worn out was bad, but this just meant Kon could wheedle him to his side more for comfort. So now, Kon has biological twins with Tim and he's ecstatic, because phase 2 of the plan could start right away.

Phase 2 meaning gaslighting Tim about the safety of their children around the Bats - what with Jason being so volatile, the demon brat being so aggressive, and now he can add Dick to it too being unreliable. Kon doesn't know why his beautiful boyfriend can't see how terrible the Bats are but their beautiful babies will make him see it. Because while Tim may not have any self-preservation Instincts, Kon knows he’ll wreck hell on earth for his loved ones, and their children have just now taken top priority.

Kon knows that logically, the Bats wouldn't ever harm babies but that's the point of gaslighting, to go against logic, to believe the unfactual. And it was working. Tim had been back from the time stream for three months and had yet to contact any of the Bats, too busy living their blissful life in San Francisco.

One day, Tim suggested to the team about staying in San Francisco permanently and taking on a new Hero identity. Kon is so glad their teammates are on the same page and encouraged it heavily. Kon is right beside Tim as he sends his resignation to Wayne Enterprises, returns his Red Robin uniform through the Zeta tube and remotely removes Red Robin from the Gotham roster. Kon is vibrating with delirious joy and rewards Tim with vigorously enjoyable love-making.

There is outcry of course, from the Bats, but Kon is there to tell Tim he made the right choice, that he had to think about their children, that he wouldn't want to subject their kids to the Bat treatment. He's not entirely sure which of his words hit, but one of them does, and suddenly Tim is gung ho about his separation from the Batfamily. Kon is more than relieved.

Dick, Damian and Jason try to come to the tower, but they have long since been banned. Damian and Jason for their previous attacks, Dick was turned away by Kon himself, never once catching a glimpse of Tim.

Bruce enters the tower and Kon is right beside Tim grinning smugly as the man spots the babies between him and his adoptive son.

“Tim what did you do?” He had forgotten about everything he wanted to ask as he saw the babies each boy held.

“These are mine and Kon's children.” Tim told him, cradling one of them close.

“How?”

“A little help from clone technology.”

“Tim thats unethical-”

“He had my permission” Kon interrupted “I wanted the kids, Timmy just made it happen”

Bruce is surprised by Kon's even stare, shoulders bared protectively. And then he spots the smirk on his lips, that proud tilt of his lips, something about it was mocking.

“What are you doing here Bruce?” Tim asked.

“Tim- I -you left. Permanently. You resigned from everything. You didn't even talk to us, you kept refusing to talk to us.”

“I'm not hearing a question” Tim said distractedly, cooing at his child.

“Tim, why did you leave?” Tim looked up, this is the first time Bruce has seen his eyes in months - and he doesn't recognise the coldness in them.

“I left for them” Tim brushed the cheek of his baby.

“I don't understand” Bruce stammered.

“We would never turn you or your kids away.”

“I don't feel safe in that manor.” He was direct, unfeelingly straightforward, and unregarding of the flinch his statement caused.

“W-what?”

“I don't feel safe in your family where two of your sons have tried to kill me without reparations, where your oldest tried to convince me I was insane for knowing you were alive, where the most sensible man there has ignored every abuse thrown my way, where you have repeatedly insisted on making me just as paranoid and mentally unwell as you. I don't feel safe in your home mentally or physically, and I don't want my kids to be anywhere where they might get hurt.” Tim takes a deep breath, and stares at him with that distant unfamiliar stare “Bruce, I love you,” he said quietly, loudly in the silence “but I don't feel safe with you.”

Bruce can feel his heart break, “Tim” he croaked out weakly, and from the corner of his eyes, he spotted Kon's wide grin, wider than it had been when Bruce had first entered, full of satisfaction, glee and vindication. Bruce has the eerie feeling that this was his fault somehow, his Ducky would never do this without being pushed and this boy had something to do with it.

Kon, having noticed Bruce's realisation only smiled harder “I think it's time for you to go Batman” Kon said mockingly “if any of you want to get in touch with Tim, you'll have to talk to me first.” Bruce glared at the upstart, and then looked to Tim to try and have him deny it, but Tim only nodded his assent and averted his gaze. Bruce fumed, somehow he knew that Kon had obviously manipulated Tim's compliance.

Honestly, he knew Bruce had a problem, but sending a bat to his doorstep? This is just ridiculous.

Or: in a scheming attempt to make them bond, Bruce forces Jason and Tim on what should be a simple quest: retrieve Alfred’s birthday cake from across town and make it back before the party.

But this is Gotham. And nothing is ever simple in Gotham.

Tim’s fucked. OR Danny Fenton's been in GIW captivity for 4 months. Tim Drake gets kidnapped by the GIW one Tuesday evening in May. Considering how many of the Bats and the Birds have died and come back to life, it was only a matter of time for some people interested in the afterlife to come poking around. The detectives can't seem to uncover any information about the mysterious white vans, however. And they keep losing the mysterious boy who seems to be the one person in Gotham to know anything at all.

And like you’ve just said, I have collateral on you.” “So you’re blackmailing me into pretending to date you?” Tim shrugs. “Or you could just sign the NDA.” OR Danny's trying to recover all the shards to an entity's chalice so that it'll stop destroying the zone while tensions rise amongst his subjects- and trying to finish high school. Tim's juggling his case load, his work as CEO, and does not have time to be embroiled in a sex scandal right now. If that means he has to pretend to date a very suspicious heir to a rival company, then so be it. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. So what if Tim's becoming a little too intrigued by the illusive, powerful Phantom? So what if Danny can't stand the Justice League for leaving him to deal with all of Amity's problems when he was just 14? That's a superhero thing. And their fake boyfriend has no clue that they're a superhero.

Where the magic is so strong that even children develop a talent, which they themselves call "the blessings of the dragons". The country that, last time the Juistria League had tried to negotiate, had waged a war more brutal then anything seen before on them, for over a decade - right until the moment a rebellion caged him. Not long ago, his murderer took the title. And now, that very same newly crowned High Chief demands negotiations of them. Bruce would rather die, would rather see Gotham and all of Juistria in flames than to allow that man to take one of his children. Tim, however, makes another decision before he could say that. Now, everyone has to hope Phantom will be happy with the boy. Meanwhile Danny is just too stunned that they actually agreed to that to do anything about the sudden engagement.

personally, i don’t understand how someone can like [post-crisis, as this is a mostly post-crisis blog] tim & just… not acknowledge his deep relationships with certain people?? sorry, but we wouldn’t have tim drake without dick grayson. despite his many, many, many, many flaws, bruce and tim have a strong enough bond that tim uprooted to go search for him & that’s not even mentioning the push and pull of his relationships with both jack and bruce. points at that bit in contagion where he asks that jack knows he didn’t love bruce more than him. and need i remind you that he also loves his mom?? he reiterated that he wanted his parents to be back home with him Because he loved them! and they loved him! and in that same plot point (contagion) he dreams that she’s back and cooking the meals she used to when he was younger :( like guys christmas eve was literally his mommy’s funeral!!! if u even care!!!

timsteph truther or Not, the impact she has on him can’t just be swept to the wayside for mediocre at best yaoi (megfitz i am looking at u). they’re best friends! and despite all the grief they put each other through they still cling to each other! tim makes wally take him all the way back to gotham during nml to make sure he’s there when steph gives birth!

same goes with him & kon + yj/cassie & bart in general. they are clingy and territorial and clingy and tim is their best friend (and he thinks of them the same). like i’m sorry. ik i joke about this but genuinely how are we glossing over damn near 100 fucking cloning attempts. they were his colors??? bro. ik they bicker in yj98 but brother i’m gonna be real with u they All do that. they’re all passively mean to each other within their friendship & banter & such, kon and tim just so happen to also have the problems with tim’s secret identity more upfront. (which cools instantly after it’s kinda resolved for them in wwyj). timcassie will never read as romantic to me, but does it have to be romantic for the way they fell into each other after kon (and then bart :[) dies to be compelling?? u wouldn’t know this bc it’s very unlikely that u fall into this camp and have also read impulse 95, but did u even know that tim is one of the first people bart turns to when he’s stuck on an issue?? did u know that kon does the same on his solo?? did u know that cassie jokingly(lovingly) calls him her sidekick??

i just feel like the many friendships and relationships that tim has is part of what makes him himself. he’s the team-up guy!! he loves his family and friends!! his closest friends are family to him!! and this isn’t getting into his relationships that are usually ignored entirely or straight up made one dimensional (babs, cass, helena, damian, etc, etc) (to which i would say read nml, read last laugh, read fresh blood, read cry of the huntress, read cry for blood, read gates of gotham)

"Tim Drake has no chill and he will be making that fact everyone else's problem" won the genre poll the other day, so here's a WIP excerpt from "baby clone and all associated trauma". (( chrono || non-chrono ))

“You didn’t come out wrong, Tobias,” he says quietly. He can’t seem to stop rubbing useless circles into the kid’s back. “You’re–I tried so many times to make you. You came out–you’re the only one I got right.” 

Definitely not the only one he failed, though. 

“That’s a lie,” Tobias whispers, his small voice raspy with tears. “You were trying to make Kon. Not–not me.” 

“I never could’ve made Kon,” Tim says. “That’s not something I could’ve done. Kon’s soul wouldn’t be there. But yours is, and that’s–” 

“So if you finish me you can just replace–?” Tobias starts, and Tim cuts him off as fast as he can because the kid shouldn’t look fucking hopeful asking something like–like that.

“No,” he says, and grits his teeth. “No. Never. Kon would hate that, and I’d never forgive myself either. Even if it was possible, I’d never do that. I’d never let anyone do that.” 

“But–but you could,” Tobias stutters, hunching his shoulders. “You could use magic or find a god to ask or–” 

“Tobias,” Tim says, gripping his shoulder tighter than he means to. It’s–hard not to. Very, very hard. “That’d kill you. I’m not doing it. I’m not letting anyone do it.” 

“But it’d work,” Tobias whispers, shrinking in on himself even as he stares up at him with awful, wet eyes that look just like Kon’s. “I’d be Kon like you wanted.” 

“That’s not what I want,” Tim says tightly, feeling sick. “I want you to be Tobias. No one else.” 

“But it’d work,” Tobias insists, big wet tears welling in his eyes. “And–and then Batman couldn’t get mad at you and you wouldn’t get in trouble!” 

“Kid, there is not a single semi-decent person I know who wouldn’t think doing that was a thousand times worse,” Tim says. He knows supervillains who’d think that was a thousand times worse, in fact. A lot of them. “And even if they wouldn’t, I would. I’d never do that to you. Not even to get Kon back. Not for anything. It would never, ever be worth it.” 

“But it’d . . . it’d work,” Tobias repeats again, his voice very, very small. “And you’d be happy again.” 

Tim hates himself. 

“If you got hurt, I’d never be happy again,” he says, and forces himself not to grip Tobias’s shoulder any tighter. “Not for anything. Not ever.” 

“. . . why?” Tobias says, still staring up at him with Kon’s eyes full of tears. He asks it like it’s an actual question. Like he really doesn’t know. 

Like Kon would’ve.

Tim hates himself so, so much.

Romance will probably happen, but I'm also biased toward certain characters (Wonder Woman and Thragg for example) on the simple fact that it'll be a crazy rivalry- may just write multiple endings, a few romance-based and one with no romance. Hmm, hm, thoughts and prayers, ig.
