To Make A Better World — KGraces (Series, 10k, Incomplete but the works can standalone) Jason Todd gets stuck in an alternate universe. After so many mistakes and bridges burned back in his own world, he decides to help this version of his family however he can.

Alternatively: Jason adopts a gaggle of siblings and gives them the love and support they deserve.

right time, wrong place — Valkirin. (T, Gen, 38k) Twelve-year-old Tim Drake has homework to finish and dinner waiting at home. He even has an invitation to spend time with Bruce before patrol the next day reviewing toxins and antidotes. It doesn't matter that Bruce prefers to keep things all-business and down in the Batcave. Having Robin again is helping, Tim can already see that, and it's always a relief to know when he's invited back.

Sixteen-year-old Tim Drake decides that he'd rather keep his distance from the tempting research project Bruce has across two work tables. It's archaeology and time travel all at once, even more interesting than usual after Bruce's long trip through time, but Bruce probably won't crack that in one night. Getting involved in the project will eliminate Tim's chance to escape to his apartment for a quiet evening rather instead of struggling through an awkward dinner with Jason and Damian and Bruce.

When the Tims suddenly switch times and places, twelve-year-old Tim has an invitation to dinner and sixteen-year-old Tim knows just what kind of ripples someone can leave from the past.

🦇 My Top 25 Batfam Fics of 2023 🦇

I try to maintain an annual tradition of shouting out some of my top fanfics of the year so that new/current writers can get some love and appreciation. This year I got really into Batfam and read literally hundreds of fics, so here is my first ever Batfam fic rec list! I read so many incredible fics, and these are just a few of my fav to come out in 2023. Most of these are Tim Drake-centric because he’s my fav, but there’s also a lot of Jason, Dick, Damian, and Bruce. If you like any of these fics, make sure to show the author some love! I might write a fic that’s just Tim running around being a little shit.

Like imagine if Timmy started to go on like hacking forums in his teens bc he was bored and then he just became a little troll on the internet for shits and giggles.

It starts as a stupid dare one of his friends makes him, “I bet you can’t hack into the GCPD database” and Tim’s has had no fucking chill ever.

Then it slowly spirals until he becomes a well known troll on the internet. He has a distinctive tag with his hacking as well. He posted details important politicians doing shady shit, drug cartels, human trafficking gangs. Like every weirdo on the internet wants to kill him and Tim finds it hilarious.

He’s like a part time info broker for the criminal underworld

Until the red hood reached out to him for info and he seems weirdly familiar

Idly, almost numbly, Jason notes that he’ll have to replace it later. Can’t have anyone else think this place is good for squatting.

Talon makes a pleased little chirrup in the back of his throat and suddenly there are hands under Jason’s knees, around his waist, and his brain short circuits and screams and whimpers but—-

Jason clamps his mouth shut.

It’s ok. He can do this.

One moment, Red Hood was fighting with Black Mask, listening to the idiot go on about how he'd murder Jason long before he'd become a problem. The next… Jason was ten years in the past, nine-years-old, and fending for himself on the streets of Gotham. Bruce might not know about Jason yet in the timeline, but Batman was the only one who could protect him against Black Mask. If only Jason didn't hate him so much…

AU where Jason is seventeen, his parents are alive, he works nights at a convenience store, and everything is about to go to shit.

Loosely inspired by this kind of weather (in that Jason's parents survived longer) but much heavier on the angst and h/c. I'm loving the WIP sequel as well!

something i really like about these fics is that the authors really explore the fact that while Damian and Tim may not necessarily get along, they still love each other and protect each other. i love they <3

“The Red Hood,” Hal confirmed with a sigh and Roy was two breaths away from rolling on the floor. No way. “He’s been running us in circles and we cannot get any hold of Bats.”

Roy choked on a laugh, disguising it with a cough. “That’s tough,” he said, with as much sympathy as he could muster. “Hope ya catch him, soon.”

“Me too, kid,” Hal said, getting up and ruffling Roy’s hair as he left to seemingly rejoin the conversation. “Me too.”
