Day 6: Fashion choices / Flowers

Fashion choices

Clothes, accessories, and hairstyles are an integral part of character design, and they contribute a lot to how we perceive a character. Artists can play dress-up with these two gorgeous men and make them wear absolutely anything 😜 Here are some official art references for ya (the range of these two 😅)

But "Fashion choices" is not only about visuals!

🌸Kakashi's ninken all wear fancy vests with Kakashi's signature henohenomoheji; how were those vests designed in the first place? Was it Kakashi or his father/mother who made them?

🌸How did Obito come up with his masks' designs? Is there a story behind it? If he was so gloomy and indifferent to the 'fake world' why was his first mask bright orange?

🌸You could also present your version of why Kakashi is so adamant about wearing his mask!

🌸It would be fun to imagine what items of clothes are their favorite. Mb Kakashi has a favorite pair of bunny-shaped slippers, or Obito might be too attached to his favorite T-shirt that doesn't fit him anymore (bc of y'know, obiboobs).

🌸What if they go shopping for clothes together? and actively get embarrassed or awkward with every second 😄Or mb Obito is trying to pick a cool outfit to attract girls, and Kakashi is (deliberately or not) sabotaging his shopping?

🌸They could be helping each other put on a uniform or a multi-layered ceremonial kimono. Or they could help each other out of their clothes as well... 😶‍🌫️

Flowers

🌸Flowers are wonderful because you can turn them into a symbol, a hidden message, a reminder, or a gift.

🌸Hanakotoba, the language of flowers, could be used by a character to say something they are too afraid to say with words.

🌸Obito is a mokuton user, what if one day he decides to master the art of arranging flowers as well? Or mb Obito and Kakashi go to an ikebana class on a date? :D

🌸Mb it's hanami season and a group of friends is having a party under a sakura tree?

🌸A fresh bouquet of flowers appears by the hospital bed every morning or at home on a window sill and nobody knows who it is from?

🌸Kids making flower crowns for each other just for fun!

Day 7: Letters / Diary | Ceremony / Rituals

Letters / Diary

Letters… ✉️

Letters may be a bridge between those sides of the characters that they can't easily express in real life, but on paper they can finally be honest.

🌸When Obito is on a long journey, mission, or redemption trip, they can start writing letters to each other — about their lives, problems, achievements, fears and happy moments… what they dreamed about at night, or what they had for breakfast.

They get reacquainted via those letters.

It's a good way to ask questions about Obito's life — Kakashi has time to think, to decide what he wants to share and to put into words. Their "catching up" becomes more mindful, less emotional, probably even more sincere. They can't see each other's worried faces when they admit their mistakes, and they can write "risky" things too.

🌸 Imagine Kakashi rereading a fresh letter again and again, thinking all day about how to reply (instead of his Hokage duties). He has to force himself to refocus on work ten times a day.

🌸Imagine the high voltage of the first meeting after hundreds of letters — Kakashi's hair standing on end even more than usual!

🌸Imagine the powerful flow of acceptance, recognition and love filling the dry riverbed of longing they've dug out through all those letters — when they finally meet.

🌸It could be a mix of letters and diary as a coping mechanism: Kakashi writing letters to Obito, knowing he's dead, but unable to stop talking to him. He writes "therapy letters" or a kind of diary, but every entry starts with "Dear Obito". He's attached to that ephemeral image as ever. (What if Tobi found this diary in Kakashi's room and got a glimpse into Kakashi's real thoughts and feelings?)

🌸What if Kakashi got a letter from Tobi?

🌸Or it could be a letter from Rin, like in this headcanon, in which she tries to explain Obito to Kakashi.

🌸What if Kakashi was captured, but somehow managed to write a pack of letters to (jounin?) Obito and send or hide them somewhere, hoping they'd be found? He knew he’d die this time — and the letters were raw and honest.

When Obito receives or finds them, he gets to know the parts of Kakashi he never hoped to reach. Kakashi offers him all the stories he never told — the sad ones, the funny ones, the tender ones.

He writes about why he wore a mask.

He writes about his darkest ANBU days… About the time he decided to kill himself but couldn’t.

Things he wished he could share one day — with a friend, with someone he loved, with Obito. But he never did. And these letters…

These were his last chance.

Ceremony / Rituals

🌸What if we think about clan traditions? The Uchiha must have some rites of passage for their young. For example, when sb awakens their sharingan, they are invited to visit the Naka Shrine and perform a small ritual asking the deities for guidance.

🌸The Hatake clan is way more mysterious. So what if little/teen Kakashi feels sad about not knowing the traditions and rituals of his own clan? Mb Obito helps him create his own traditions? And when they grow up Kakashi still sticks to them?

🌸It could be an academy graduation ceremony or a party to celebrate a rank promotion! Mb it's baby Obito's or baby Kakashi's first recital at daycare? Or who knows, it's their children's first school play.

🌸(okay-okay, we're getting there) The wedding! 😄It's completely within your power to get them married! Is it a marriage for politics or tax benefit? Are they getting fake-married for whatever reason? Have they finally come to realize they are each other's family? Was the proposal as perfect as it was in Kakashi's favorite part of Icha Icha? Did Team 7 mess up the ceremony in some way? So many ways to go!

🌸A ritual could be healing or therapeutical. It even could be the "true love's kiss" trope, but with a kkob flavor.

Jason's a 10 while his boyfriend looks mid

In Gotham University where Jason is studying literature, while Danny is studying engineering. Nobody knew how they even met, but they both showed up one day going out with each other.

Nobody knew why exactly Jason, who is an absolutely beefcake, built like a fridge, was with a guy that totally looks like a loser. He was tinier than Jason - a complete twink-, he often gets up to run to the bathroom citing stomach problems, once you set him off about something, he'll never stop yapping about it.

So, one brave student went up to Jason and asked the question. Why him?

Jason just smirked and tilted his head at Danny.

"Open your mouth."

Danny does so obligingly in confusion. What he didn't know nor did he realise was that once he did, his features started to distort, looking more...not human.

His teeth were sharp and jagged, his mouth was like a gaping abyss, so dark that the only thing that you see was more and more teeth. His eyes took more of a green hue, skin turned paler, and his freckles shone like the stars.

Danny then rolled out his tongue, which came out long and serpentine, flicking it a bit before rolling it back into his mouth, becoming normal once more.

Jason gave a lovesick lustful look at him.

The student immediately understood and simply said 'Have a nice day', because they get why. Teratophilia is a thing, people.

“Woah. You look like shit."

Granted, that’s probably not the first thing Danny should be saying to the guy that just bit the curb, but in his defense; he’s not running on 100% right now either.

The man -- tall, towering, and broader than Danny is tall -- whips around on his heel, black frayed cape flaring out impressively. Danny would've whistled in appreciation, but he takes the time instead to wipe the back of his hand across his mouth, smearing the blood running from his nose across his cheek.

"Sorry." He blinks widely, not even flinching as the man with the horns zeroes in on him. "That was rude of me. I have a really bad brain-to-mouth filter; Sam says its what always gets me into trouble."

And she's not wrong either, per say. His smart mouth is what landed him in this situation -- with blood blossom extract running through his veins and cannibalizing the ectoplasm in his bloodstream. Thanks Vlad.

The man grunts at him; a short, curt "hm" that shouldn't make Danny smile, but he does because he's somewhat delirious and probably concussed. The man keeps some kind of distance, sinking towards the shadows of Gotham's alleyway like he dares to melt right into it.

If it's supposed to scare Danny, it doesn't work. Danny's never been afraid of the dark; he's always been able to hide himself in it. He blinks slowly at the mass of shadows.

"You look hurt." The shadows says, blurring together around the edges. Danny squints, and licks his lips to get the blood dripping down his chin off. Ugh, he hates the taste of blood.

"I am." He says, "My godfather poisoned me. M'dying." The agony of the blood blossom eating him from the inside out looped back around to numbing a while ago, so all he feels is half-awake and dazed.

"Hey," Danny stumbles forward towards the man, a bloodied hand reaching out to him. "You-- you're a hero, right? You're not attacking me; which is more than I can say for most costumed people I've met." Maybe it's a poor bar to judge someone at, but he's already established that Danny's not in his right mind.

The man makes no change in expression, but Danny realizes blearily that it's hard to tell with the shadows on his face. He stays still long enough for Danny to latch onto the cape -- stretchy, but almost soft under his fingers.

He looks up blearily into the whites of the man's eyes. "Can you help me? I don't-- I don't wanna die." Again. He doesn't wanna die again. He blinks slow and lizard-like. "I mean- I'll probably get to see mom and dad again, but I told them I'd at least try and make it to adulthood."

There's a clatter down the street, and Danny's ghost sense chills up his spine and leaves a bitter, ashy taste in his mouth. He immediately knows who it belongs to even before the deceptively gentle; "Daniel?" echoes down the way.

"Daniel? Quit your games, badger, Gotham is dangerous for children."

Danny's mouth pulls back, and blood spills against his tongue. "Please." He rasps, and grabs onto the shadow's cape with both hands. "Please. He's going to kill me. Please--"

"Daniel? Is that you?"

His lips part, dragging in air to plead with the darkness again. He doesn't need to, the whites of his eyes narrow, and the cape whirls around him before Danny can blink. Soon swaddled in shadows, the Night lifts him up, and steals him away.

Starfire can learn any language via kissing someone. This is great news as the glowing specter teenager in the Titans Tower is speaking in a language no one can understands (ghost speak). Bad news: The team does their best to explain to the ghost this so they can communicate with him easier and Danny is VERY confused.

Persuasiveness - While a persuasive person can be a good leader and influencing the people around them in a good way, there is also a fine line between persuasiveness and manipulation. Also, other people could rely too much on the influencer's opinion.

Tidiness - A clean and organized environment can boost focus and efficiency, making it easier to complete tasks. It can also look good for an outsider. But it can also become an obsession, being time-consuming and creating unease, if something is not tidy enough.

Being realistic - A realistic person is grounded in reality, making informed and logical decisions. They are better prepared for setbacks, having already created a contingency plan. But realism can sometimes dampen enthusiasm and optimism, as well as creative ideas. A realist can therefore be perceived as being pessimistic.

Danny is dead, which manifests as a ghost which falls under the anti ecto acts. Classified the same as insects, less rights then a corpse or a gun. Thing is, he discovered he’s also a meta. Sure, it wasn’t anything grand or amazing or something. His meta power was literally seeing through clouds if he wanted to. Which, is awesome, yay for star gazing and on misty morning drives he’s Jazz’s go to copilot but other then that? Not really much use (he’s not counting the times he was able to spot enemies hiding in cloud coverage or trying to use smoke machines).

However, now as he was visiting metropolis, the GIW had found him. Great? No.

So as Superman (who was told by official government agents that he was a dangerous criminal despite looking like a toddler in his eyes) grabbed him, agents in white creeping up on the sides, he said the first thing coming to mind. “I’m a meta, you can’t do shit to me.”

He snarled it to the GIW of course but now they’re kinda stumped at that reaction and if that would effect the anti ecto laws. Superman just thinks he has a self righteous, stuck up little prick in his hands.

Misunderstandings ensue.

DP x DC prompt [6]

Weapon design always came easy to Jack Fenton. He grew up with it, all the way back in Atlantis, when he was just a little guppy.

What he wasn’t aware of at the time was that his parents were from a long and prestigious line of scientists and weapon manufacturers in Atlantean society. But things had been getting dangerous. 

The King at the time cast them out when they refused his demands of greater, stronger, deadlier weapons. The kind of weapons they knew would not only destroy their enemies, but themselves as well.

They fled and went where they thought they would never be found, the surface.

Jack had the easiest time adapting, being as young as he was getting used to breathing air was a lot less of a struggle. 

He adopted one of the most generic male names he could, and adapted the family name of Fenestratus into Fenton. And then it was just living as a human, as humanly as possible, nothing to see here.

By now Jack basically doesn’t know any better. but this piece of heritage is coming back now all these years later, when his son is looking to him for help from the government.

But first he holds his boy close and apologizes, because he sees the fear, and he understands a little too well, and he doesn’t like the picture he’s seeing now that all the puzzle pieces are falling into place.

“I almost became the thing I hate the most. I’m so sorry Danny, I’m sorry I made you feel unsafe in your own home”

The hug is long and warm and tight and Danny isn’t ashamed to admit he might have clung a little bit.

Then Jack holds Danny tightly by his shoulders and gives him a big grin, “Good news though, you’re only half ghost, the other half is not only human but also Atlantean, and there are laws protecting us now” Jack mutters to himself, “I wonder if the whole ghost stuff would actually be put under the meta protection thing… hmm”

Danny blinks for a moment, Jazz gapes, Maddie is suddenly no longer spiraling about how her baby boy got in a terrible accident in their lab and she didn’t know.

“I’m also what?”

“Dad!?”

“oh did I forget to mention that? I thought I did, I know for certain that I had been meaning to”

“Jack sweetie, are you-”

“oh yes, and I remember now, I decided to tell you after our big breakthrough because I didn’t want to distract you, and-” Jack looks sheepish, “I hope you aren’t too mad at me Maddiecakes”

“mad? oh I would never be mad at you about this but we could have- I don’t know, accommodated- Atlanteans are aquatic, well I guess that explains how you could always put away so much water, and when you gave me your umbrella and I thought you were just making an excuse when you told me you didn’t mind and in fact loved getting pelted by the rain-”

Maddie goes on, and Jack thinks to himself that this is exactly the reason why he kept it to himself at the time, Maddie never half asses anything, he’s sure a lot of things are going to change in the house now, it honestly only makes him fall in love with her even more.

Meanwhile Jazz had filled up a bucket of water and then dunked her head in, then came back out not even slightly gasping for breath, just saying “oh my god” over and over.

Danny timed it, “yeah okay, I guess that proves it. now I’m starting to wonder if my weird relationship with air is ghost related at all”

Prompt Descriptions Part 1 (Day 1-2)

Kakaobimi Festival is just around the corner. Are you excited? Hopefully you are 😅 How about we tinker with this year’s prompts for a bit and figure out possible interpretations? Feel free to use any of these suggestions as starting points or plot bunnies for your works 🙏

Day 1: Shared vision | Firsts

Shared Vision

🌸A very Obito-Kakashi-specific prompt, right? The first thing that comes to mind is Obito’s eye and various symbolic interpretations it inspires: a selfless gift, a powerful weapon destined to protect, a promise to see the future together, a reminder to change the world for the better, complete trust, unconditional love, the “all I have left of you”, the eye that cries the sorrows, a draining feeling of guilt, the burden of wrong decisions that can’t be fixed, the treasure of the Uchiha, a Kamui entrance, the other half that longs to unite, the Copy Nin, a memories recorder, a clan ritual, the asset everyone is after.

🌸And what if the eye turns into a link between the two? An invisible bridge that allows thoughts and even dreams to drift between their minds. What if Obito saw Kakashi’s nightmares, or Kakashi heard Obito’s confused thoughts? What if they saw the other in the mirror reflection one day? What if they couldn’t control this link, and it activated at the scariest/happiest or the most …awkward/private moment?

🌸Shared Vision can also be about the way they see the future, and boy, there’s a lot to unpack. It can be about their private life: how post-war Obito and Kakashi imagine their future together/apart, or children Obito and Kakashi dreaming about what the future has in store for them while cloud watching. Maybe jounin Kakashi wants jounin Obito to quit bc he can’t stop worrying about him, or they simply can’t decide what to have for dinner and the argument escalates. Conversely, they could see eye to eye (pun intended 😄) and finish each other’s sentences and be a perfect duo/couple/family that is so sweet it’s annoying 😜 On the other hand, the prompt could be about broader concepts, like how to fix the shinobi system and deal with clan feuds. They could break up bc they chose different paths, and they could get lost on the path of life for the sake of love/friendship.

🌸You could also approach this prompt as a character study and explore the way they perceive each other. Is it a monster? a human? a victim or a villain? "What do you see when you look at me now?" Can they notice little things like a trembling hand, a tear trace, a smile under the mask, the untouched food on a plate, the newly formed wrinkles…

Firsts

🌸"Firsts" is one of those intriguing prompts that explores first-time moments that shape the characters and change the course of their lives in one way or another. Quite often it's their first crush, kiss, or sex, but have you considered...

🌸their first mask, literal or figurative 🎭 ...their first time wearing a disguise or making up a new persona. The thrill, the new possibilities! Especially if they want to attract a certain someone.

🌸the first cracks in their facade. ...their first shared bed 🛏️ ...their first time cooking for the other ...their first time fishing together 🎣 ...their first time dancing …their first inside joke …their first temple or festival visit …their first anniversary or the first time they put candles on a birthday cake

🌸their first time reading Icha-Icha? ...their first time getting into an Icha-Icha situation? As if taken right from the book!

🌸their first break-up and reconciliation  ❤️‍🩹 ...their first time crying together ...the first time Obito says 'sorry' and really means it ...the first time they truly accept each other

Day 2: Secret identity | Dropping the act

Secret Identities

🌸Aren't Kakashi and Obito perfect for this prompt, having effectively worn a few personas in canon? Wouldn't it be fun to experiment with Tobi, Sukea, "Madara", Mizukage or any other persona you may create for the purposes of the plot, since they seem to be pretty good actors and will definitely pull it off!

🌸Both of them may be pulling an act or, perhaps, only one of them is wearing a disguise while the other doesn't suspect anything? (Or does, unbeknownst to the first!) Both could also know each other's real identities but are forced to keep the act for the mission.

🌸Tobi x Sukea is probably the most popular version of this trope, but it could also be Jounin Obito x Sukea or even post-war Obito x Sukea. Or how about Obito being jealous or worried as he watches Kakashi applying his Sukea make-up for an undercover mission? And who knows, mb Obito has more secret identities up his sleeve?

🌸"Tobi" and "Sukea" could be invented for paperwork reasons or to play a trick on someone; or they could be the result of little kids experimenting with a disguise and checking if their friends can see through it.

Dropping the act

🌸Playing with secret identities is all fun and games, but at some point masks must be taken off. This prompt naturally welcomes any identity reveal scenario, be it Tobi, Sukea, or both, like in this timeless snippet.

🌸We can also consider when and why they are pretending to be somebody else. Is Kakashi shielding his real self with rules and then Obito’s antics? What Kakashi’s personality would be like if all his dear people were alive? When and how does Obito realize his will is being suppressed or manipulated by the seal? How does it feel to be himself again? Mb there is a better way to remove the seal (than just Chidori his heart out of his ribcage?)

🌸In a canon compliant AU Obito could take off the mask and still be a stranger to anyone except for Kakashi who would notice a familiar face in the crowd (like here). What Kakashi would do if he saw a man who resembles his dead childhood teammate? Would he approach this man? What could he even say? (and you could make it angsty if the man turned out to be just a random guy who happened to have similar scars; Kakashi just really wanted it to be Obito…)

🌸The domestic perspective could be linked to the Hokage Office. The job requires keeping up appearances (even if your fresh-from-prison war criminal lover is pacing at home like a restless wild cat). Or Hokage Obito returns home after a long day of paperwork and stressful negotiations to finally feel the warmth and reassuring comfort of Kakashi’s embrace.

🌸The prompt could be about kiddy obkk sharing secrets or adults not knowing how to tell the truth. It could be about either of them pretending that he is alright when he’s clearly not.

🌸Or what if it’s just a game night, and they simply play their characters at a party? Or what if Obito actually becomes an actor and needs sb to rehearse lines with him? 🤭

Bruce Wayne had a child that was somehow kidnapped right out of the hospital just hours after being born. He of them ever stopped looking despite how cold the trail had grown.

Years later there is some rouge attack and a civilian child was injured and taken to the hospital. Bruce does a DNA test on the blood found at the scene and concludes that the child is actually his long lost kid.

Dani was planning to sneak out of the hospital the moment the doctors stopped looking at her. Then Bruce Wayne of all people comes in and claims that she is his long lost child. She knows that this is very impossible because she is a clone, but Bruce won't listen to her and she really doesn't want to explain the clone thing to a "normal" stranger.

This does brings up a lot of questions about how Danny ended up living with the Fentons though.

Jaskier says with fear, before the transformation takes the air out of his lungs. Geralt watches in horror and awe as Jaskier's body changes, changes, changes.... In... Into a songbird? sitting on the ground is a fat little songbird. It easily hops over the ropes and chains, now much too lose to hold it. Him. Oh my gods. Jaskier's not a werewolf. He's a... were.... werebird... And not even a scary one. Jaskier starts pecking the barn floor and Geralt rubs a hand over his face in exhaustion. He prepared for the worst, and instead is treated to watching Jaskier struggle to bathe in a trough. "Jaskier, it's too deep." He tells the bird, as it fluffs up it's wings. "Jaskier, you're going to-" Jaskier tries to take a step into the birdbath, only to fall, dunking his whole fat little body into the depths of the trough. He flails about in the water, chirping panickedly. Geralt rushes to his aid, gently lifting him out of the water with gentle hands. Perhaps guarding over Jaskier will still be a challenge after all.

a spell is cast on camelot that thins the veil enough for ghosts to appear. the catch? the ghosts that appear are spirits of people that were killed by the person they’re haunting. the knights have a good amount of bandits/raiders/whatever that they took down in battle, maybe a few shady knights have genuinely innocent people that they murdered and got away with. the executioner’s killings are transferred to the king since he was simply acting out the king’s commands. arthur has quite a few. uther has hundreds of sorcerers in various states of gore and horror. those who were hanged have perpetually bent necks, those who were beheaded have either no head or just a head floating a bit above their body, and those who were burnt are more charred remains (the most grisly of them all). merlin has more than anyone expected (which was zero) and all of them keep calling out for arthur/uther’s death and camelot’s downfall while also turning to merlin and calling him a traitor.

Generosity - Generosity is a wonderful trait, and is sign of being a good friend. But not-so-good-friends can also take advantage of that generosity.

Loyalty - Another sign of being a good friend is if you're loyal. Staying by a friend's side no matter what. But if loyalty becomes completely unconditional and without questions asked, it can lead to trouble, ruining their own life out of loyalty to someone else.
