After getting into more parts of the DC fanbase the difference between how Batfans and non-Batfans act becomes really apparent. Like in the Batfandom people want their individual fav to have a leading role in an acclaimed ongoing series as a sign they are finally being respected by DC.

Meanwhile everyone else is celebrating when their favourite family/team/side of DC gets one decently written series every other year. Shout out to the Fourth World fans for getting a new New Gods series written by Ram V (for context the first one in 6 years, and the last wasn't even canonical). Aquafans, I'm holding out hope they will announce a new series for you guys at some point. Personally I am manifesting that one day we will get a single decent black canary solo series.

Speaking about Gotham city

Now speaking, I love Gotham and all the narrative that a city sunk in crime and violence can do to people, I find everything in Gotham such a good concept that it can be approached in real life, I even plan to dedicate future writings to this context of violence, because it approaches through a character what a violent environment can do to your mind, it's a dream. You can bring real social issues to a fictional story, and the proof that none of this comes from a delusion of mine is that Baco Exu do blues (Brazilian singer known for addressing sensitive themes of violence in his songs), made a song about Gotham for the promotion of the film, proving that the dilemmas come out of fiction, and I always related baco's songs to Gotham, I even felt a little guilty, but after he through a song proves that the context applies is of a gigantic fascination. If any fan wants to talk about it, please contact me, you don't know how much I think about this subject and I still have a lot to say.

movies(sum not dc): blue beetle(i know its not out yet but its already my fav), little miss sunshine, napoleon dynamite, justice league(zacks ver), suicide squad(sentimental reasons), the lego dc movies(ALL of them), shazam!!

shows: batman brave and the bold, GOTHAM!!!, titans(tho i have yet to finish), huh this is all i can think about right now...

comics: tiny titans, blue beetle(2006-2009), the swamp thing(levi kamei), monkey prince, batman '89

CURRENT DC FANS AREN'T NEEDED

The assumption that the current "fans" of the previous DC films and their opinions, are relevant... is where every "I hate James Gunn" comment on every social media post related to it, fails... These fans are not needed. The negative attitudes are not needed, and the threats are just empty. An entirely new fan base is not only acceptable in this case, but likely part of the plan. Complaining holds no weight, and there's not enough of them to make an impact,

THAT'S WHY A NEW PHASE IS HAPPENING..!

James Gunn... the guy who brought us all of Guardians of the Galaxy and the last two Avengers films (and a lot more), is not only over qualified to help give DC the boost it needs, but is also qualified at telling trolls who have no clue, what he thinks about their hate and rudeness, and is ignoring them, to pursue the vision DC needs and deserves.

Like seriously, defending them at all just sounds stupid...

The "fan base" as you all call it, failed heavily at supporting the films that needed it, and now they're whining about the very reason it all failed, poor support by it's producers, writers, directors, etc., Big names were a bad idea, story and appearance were heavily lacking, the films were flashy and colorful but had zero substance. FANS EVEN SAID SO.

So it's all getting a much needed kick start, and Gunn is the right guy to do it...

And a whole new set of "fans" is a totally plausible and acceptable scenario, in this story. Internet trolls are not helping with anything, just adding hateful and rude comments. And the Henry Cavill defenders fail because he wanted out of Superman, anyway.
