Foreboding Words of Warnings
..... I had another idea that I wanna share. Going to be quick cause I got stuff to do today.
"This, Batman. Is a list of names and ages of people who once were upon the living, who died by the hands of Joker.... they are also the ones that are demanding his death and soul ripped into nothingness so they won't suffer his ghost should he become one...." the young looking King said, his voice hard like unmoving stone, his finger tapping against the open long glowing scroll sitting on top of the table "The very dead are demanding their justice Batman. My people, my subjects, my kind want to finally end that psychopath since they now have a King that is willing to listen to them."
Batman opened his mouth, trying to come up with words to counter argue that killing was wrong, he did his best to ignore the names, the ages (a cluster of children ages ranging from babies to seventeen year olds were together on the list) but was cut off by King Phantom.
"I'm not asking permission Batman, this is merely a formality and a warning for what's to come. Everyone and everything ends and enters my domain eventually, and from there their souls are judged. So before you say I have no right to be doing this, understand that EVERYONE will be mine eventually whether they like it or not.... Although never once has so many ghosts demanded judging on a living soul all at once. I can not ignore this, even my own council agreed to the demands once I brought this matter to them." Phantom said, his glowing green eyes staring him down and everyone in the room shivered (both internally and a tiny bit outwardly) as if they had been dunked in cold ice water. The light from his flaming crown seemed to be messing with the shadows around it in the cave sending a sense of foreboding at them. "You have twenty-four hours to bring Joker to me before I send my knights to find him and drag him into my Realm. I would rather not cause mass panic among the living should they see them however hence why I came here to speak in private with you about this matter before we do."
The room was silent after that, everyone trying to wrap their heads around what was going to happen, permission or not. And trying not to freak out over the existence of ghosts being a thing... and that they had a King in the afterlife.
"Question King Kid. Do you need to be fully dead to sign that thing or can someone whose been dead and got better add their name to it?" Jason finally asked from his spot, fully ready to sign his own name on the damn thing if it meant finally getting rid of the Joker for good in this life. And for the afterlife as well. He refused to let Joker's victims and himself should he join them in the ghostly afterlife suffer seeing that crazed clown again.

@alls-well-that-ends-weird said something very interesting that I'm kinda into.
"Ngl, I'm a sucker for ghost king aus where danny takes to the role like a fish to water bc he finds that he actually *likes* the etiquette and the formalities and the ritual of carrying out his royal duties. Once he's got teachers and advisors to teach him things hands-on he learns it fast and enjoys being able to actively and immediately put his new skillsets to frequent practical use. Am i kinetic learner who's projecting? You betcha. But i think the idea's fun."
The idea that Danny might genuinely enjoy that sort of thing & be a kinetic learner never occurred to me & I think that this idea should be seen more often.
Like, maybe he's initially reluctant for one reason or another. (Ex: doesn't think he'd be a good king, just wants to be a normal kid, doesn't want the responsibility, ect.)
Like, I could see him fighting against it tooth & nail only to then, once he yields even a little (maybe he learns that if he abdicates the throne, then the crown will default to Vlad because of his role in Pariah's defeat, this comes from the idea that because of the way he helped in the end, Vlad sorta registers as something similar to brother of the crown prince, so he'd only be considered for the role if either Danny legit died/passed on/faded or he abdicated), he learns that he's super good at it & actually really enjoys it.
Like, I've seen a number of aus where he's extremely obstinate about the whole thing & absolutely refuses to even entertain the idea of being the king. Even abdicating to a ghost bear. And I'll be honest, I don't much care for his attitude in them.
I dunno, like it's one thing if he doesn't think he'd be a good king, just wants to be a normal kid, or doesn't want the responsibility, but the way it's been portrayed in these just makes him look obstinate, childish, & selfish.
Maybe I have an idealized idea of what it means to be a ruler?
I have a post where I sort of go into why here if you're interested in looking. The Duty of Nobility

Project: Save Humanity
or something like that
It's no surprise that the Ancients get bored. They are immortal and have all the time in the world to complain about it, sadly Danny joined them after he was crowned.
Their monthly meetings are divided into three topics: Taunting the Observants (Clockwork's favorite topic after they were demoted to helpers, assistants, and other menial jobs), talking about the safety of the Realms (quite peaceful if just as chaotic), and argue.
They- really had nothing to do, and their hobbies eventually bored them. So Danny had a brilliant idea (read: he saw it on a TV show) and decided that they should all become mentors and save one of the dimensions.
Clockwork was about to say that was not a good idea, since it was the same as throwing giants into a world of ants but he needed some fun so he kept quiet. He showed them the dimension of DC and how it was continually being destroyed, the King told them to start their project in that place and select someone.
Clockwork selected Flash because he felt vengeful, Nocturne selected Tim Drake for the same reason, and so they went; each one of the Ancients selecting a "champion" they were going to teach. Although their selection reasons were quite absurd (being that they were selecting their opposite poles or just someone interesting).
Danny being a spirit of protection, selected Jason Todd and secretly Billy Batson, because he was the king and could break the rules (Clockwork rolled his eyes at the comment). The question now was, how did they appear to them and avoid the world's myriad routes of destruction?
Well at least they weren't bored anymore

dp x dc prompt #39
It started with the GIW kidnapping Miss Martian under the assumption that she’s secretly a ghost.
It ended with Young Justice + 1 teenage king Phantom piled in a shopping cart pushed by Kid Flash, with GIW alarms and sirens screaming as they barreled out the front door as fast as the little cart wheels could spin without coming off completely. And for some reason, Wally had Cotton Eye Joe blasting on his phone speakers, still heard clearly even over the sound of collapsing government lab.
Robin really has no idea what the heck is going on.

Summoning Game Show
Masterpost
They are all in a warehouse fighting a bunch of cultists, trying to keep them from activating their summoning circle when it happens. One of the cultists manages to hit Red Robin across the face hard enough for blood to drip down from you cut. The blood lands in the summoning circle at Red Robin’s feet and he has a moment to realize he is standing in the circle before it starts glowing Lazarus green and sucks him in.
He lands with a yelp in a very large room. There is a podium at the front and people are starting to come in from the walls, but they aren’t human. They are also glowing lazarus green, and Red tracks a boy with white hair and a black suit as his tail turns into legs and he starts walking towards the podium.
Red looks up and the portal is still open above him, but It’s starting to flicker. He assumes that means it’s closing and starts trying to find a way back up there, but it’s to far from any walls, and the ceiling has nothing for the grapple to attach to, and he can’t get any further before Nightwing is falling towards him.
“Oh, shit.” Red mutters, getting out of the way. Of course, Dick rolls with it and pops up ready to fight.
“Red, are you okay?”
“ Fine, but we have no way back up.”
Dick turns to look at the portal, only for Hood and Robin to fall through as well, right before it closes.
Dick and Tim share a look as Damian and Jason pick themselves off the floor.
“Wonderful!” They all turn to the voice at the front of the room. “Now that everyone is here, we can get started! Welcome to the Infinite Realms. I’m Danny, your host for the competition. You are here because you tried to summon the Ghost King, Great One, Slayer of Pariah Dark, Ruler of the Infinite Realms. You shouldn’t have thought it would be so easy. He has brought you here instead so you can compete for the right to an audience. The rules are simple, each round you will compete against one of His subjects, and if you are successful, you will earn a clue in the final puzzle! There will be one round for each contestant to earn a clue. If you lose your round, the others play on without you. Only those still in the game at the end of the last round will have the chance to solve the final puzzle. Any questions?”
The vigilantes looked among themselves. They didn’t mean to be here, but this seemed worth at least getting more information on.
“What happens if we lose exactly?” Nightwing asks.
“You spin the wheel of dimensions, and then Kitty takes care of you.”
“And… What if we don’t want to play?” Red asks hesitantly.
There is a frown from Danny. The other ghosts in the room shared looks. Danny starts to flicker as he grows fangs and his eyes start to glow more brightly.
“Are you trying to tell me that after finding, drawing, and successfully activating your summoning circle, after hearing the terms of engagement you have decided that your goal was not to meet the King, but instead to waste all of our time?”
“No! Nope, we are so ready to compete.” Nightwing states. “We’d love to meet the King.”
“Ah!” Danny calms back into a smile. “Then we continue!”
Danny nods to one of the ghosts, who leaves through a side door.
“Now you can decide who plays each challenge, but remember, each person can only compete in one round. The first three rounds are physical competitions. The first is a timed obstacle course. Since us ghosts have a natural advantage over you guys, this is a timed event rather than a race. However, since we still need to participate, Skulker will be chasing you as Boxy tries to distract you. Choose your contestant!”
Nightwing raises his hand.

Game show host Danny
What if one day Danny gets so annoyed at cults summoning him, he makes it a game show
Whenever someone uses his summoning circle they get transported to a game show stage where they compete to see who gets to meet the ghost king
Danny's the host but refuses to tell anyone that he's the ghost king, besides no ones ever won so it doesn't matter
Danny was prepared, he binge-watched all the game shows he could find and then convinced technes to fine him some more
There's a big wheel of fortune but instead, it's a wheel of possible dimensions they could go to
They have to guess the emotional value of certain items and people are confused when it's a thermos
They have to answer questions about fast food franchises
If you get caught cheating fright knight will chase them around threatening them for a few hours before sending them home
A challenge is to lock them all in a room with box ghost and the last person to say something mean wins
Any musical challenges are overlooked by ember
There's a game where you have to choose the right box but one of them is Pandora's box
Skuller will chase them through an obstetrical course for "physical challenges"
Everyone loves it, all of dannys rogues get to mess with humans, the cultist won't be summoning him anytime soon, and Danny gets to laugh his ass off at this...no one quite knew what to expect when young Justice tried to summon him as a dare

Danny is the rightful Ghost King, but since he's not of age he needs a regent who is a) his species, b) his family, and c) an adult. The only adult haftas are Vlad or this Red Hood guy from Gotham that he's never heard of. Since Vlad is not going to happen looks like it's Red Hood, now how to make the guy count as family...
Jason has had a lot of weird shit happen to him over the years but a woman tracking him down as Red Hood to propose a temporary political marriage so he can be regent of a death dimension until her brother is old enough to rule in his own name is a new one for him. Of course he accepted. The only other option was apparently a creepy uncle figure. He's read enough romance to know a forced marriage of a woman to her creepy uncle never ends well. A forced marriage of a woman to a crime lord doesn't usually end much better, but he's ignoring that for now. He's going to woo and romance his spit fire of a wife with respect, spontaneous poetry, his damn good cooking, and by not being a Darcy. And he is going to rock not just this whole regent thing, but also and more importantly the mentoring her brother and his new ward on how to rule this dimension. Competence is always attractive. He runs a tight ship in his crime empire, surely running a dimension can't be that much harder.
He actually already has a plan on how he's going to handle the whole 'The USA declared war on the dimension he's regent of' thing. It's simple really he goes to the next family dinner and causes chaos. The faces everyone will make will be glorious when he drops that he's lord regent of a dimension, the USA is at war with his dimension, and it's such a shame that no one can meet Jason's wife or ward till there is a peace treaty. Then he just needs to sit back and watch the entertainment as his siblings realize he has forever won the position of favorite child by being the first married and first to give Bruce a grandkid. Also you know the chaos of Bruce willing to wage a one man war if necessary so he can meet his grandson. Jason figures it will take at most a month for the government to cave.
And like a cherry on top he's going to get on a medical treatment plan for the pit. Everything is looking great for him.

Half a year after defeating Pariah Dark, Danny ascends to the throne. A few months after his coronation, he receives many letters from nobles of varying realms, all asking to betroth their children to “Princess Danielle Phantom.”
After a lot of asking around, Danny finds out that, despite the whole “King” title amounting to little more than a boost in power, ownership of Pariah Dark’s old castle, and the loyalty of Fright Knight, the royal titles also come with a lot of influence in Infinite Realm nobility circles. There also hasn’t been anyone in the royal family other than the King since the start of Pariah Dark’s reign, meaning every single noble with an heir of their own was sending Danny letter upon letter asking for his clone’s hand in marriage.
Danny, not wanting to force Ellie to be engaged anyone but also realizing that ignoring all of the requests would make for a lot of angry ghosts who are still mentally in the 14th century, talks out the situation with Ellie, and the two come up with a plan.
Danny announces a tournament for the right to become engaged to the Princess, one that would span across several days. On the first day of the tournament, every suitor would fight in a ring battle-royal-style until only ten of them remained. Then, over the course of several days, each of the ten suitors would face off against Ellie. Whoever manages to defeat her earns the right to be her betrothed.
Of course, Danny doesn’t mention the fact that Ellie’s power is nearly on par with his own, and that she had been training with Fright Knight for about half a year. There was no way anyone would be able to defeat her without her letting them, therefore allowing Ellie to choose her betrothed, whoever and whenever she wanted.
Naturally, all the suitors get their asses handed to them, and the citizens of the Ghost Zone get the show of a lifetime. Of course, none of the nobles are happy, in fact they’re nearly ready to riot when Danny says they can simply try again in the tournament next year.
The tournament takes place, and once again, Ellie wins, much to the excitement of the crowd and the frustration of the nobles. The year after that, they send their children in with hidden weapons, none of which are a match for the Princess. The crowd goes wild, and many ghosts become curious as to who could possibly defeat such a powerful young ghost. She’s far more powerful than those in her age range, and ghosts above a certain age are forbidden from fighting for her hand.
Of course, a few fans realize that the rules never actually specified that the competitors needed to be dead, just within the age range.
So, a few fans of the tournament, eager for a good fight, kidnap the entire Young Justice team and force them to compete in the tournament— without explaining the tournament’s purpose.

I have lots of ideas for prompts. LOTS OF IDEAS.
Like John Constantine dragging Jack and Maddie by the ear into the infinite realms to personally apologize to the High King of it for literal war crimes.
Meanwhile Danny is panicking, cuz he works regularly with the League ever since Tucker found out Vlad was what was stopping them from receiving any of Amity's distress signals and bricked literally all of the stalkers electronics, and they just hashed out a working relationship, and he Does Not Want them to find out he's the King. What if Wonderwoman and Aquaman try to talk to him about politics?! He doesn't actually know what he's doing he just managed to appear competent!
So his first true edict as King, the first thing he does using all of his powers at his disposal to forcibly order Ghosts what to do, is to pretend that Skulker is the High King. He looks intimidating, right?
Skulker despises every second of it. He hates lying about a conquest, it makes him testy and irritable.
His irritability makes John be like "I was right the King is terrifying fuck".
The other Ghosts are just avoiding it, desperately pretending that they can't see Skulker.
Johnny and Kitty keep breaking down into laughter and are deliberately watching from the side lines, having come to watch the spectacle.
Phantom is crying inside watching Skulker try to pretend like he's courtly. Wonderwoman and Aquaman suspect that something is going on but the cultures in the Infinite realms are so different they don't know For Sure. Batman figured it out pretty much the second they met Skulker and is just. Staring. At Danny.
Judging him.
Quietly.

DP x DC ramble: Types of power
Now, in this particular fandom, there’s a tendency to make an OP Danny
That’s a neutral statement, a lot of people just happen to like and post OP Danny
For the most part, not my taste but it can be fun in some contexts, but overpowered Danny isn’t my default
Now, Danny is physically strong. His abilities are combat focused and he can hold his own in a fight. He probably has a little less physical strength than you’d think since he uses gravity nullification to lift heavy things, but it’s impressive regardless. He has a goodly variety of offensive and defensive abilities that make him formidable is a fight
But the strongest characters in DC aren’t necessarily strong in that way
Superman is physically very strong, incredibly powerful, but he’s still nowhere near the level of the actual strongest characters, because their power is a very different type
Like I’m talking reality manipulation, omniscience, abilities that involve power over people’s very souls (and a ghost is a human soul) and where they end up. Psychopomps and some much more. I’m talking about beings that can mold the flesh of humans to remove something like a cancer and repair damage with barely a thought
And they’re mainly held in check by rules, mostly just being polite, sometimes Divine laws
This is a type of power Danny is not equipped to handle
It’s a very different game than Danny is playing. He can physically throw down, he might have an army if it’s Ghost King AU, but this is “can kill you with a literal snap and the snap is just for dramatic effect” territory
Danny is playing high school American football, these characters are playing Professional soccer aka what every other country calls football
It’s a very different game, and if he’s trying to play with them, he’s going to struggle
And that’s fine, he can still be OP and not be playing on the same field as Lucifer, or the Spectre, or various demon lords and so on, because it’s a different kind of power
But just arbitrarily saying he’s more powerful really undersells why they are powerful. Being able to punch good is not the same as a character that can just send him to the afterlife. Someone being able to reshape Danny’s body at their will isn’t going to be concerned about his ecto blasts
A Tuna is a big fish, but the ocean is VAST and DEEP
All this to say you’d have to drastically alter Danny’s actual power set to make him able to compete, otherwise you’re just de-powering the actual strongest characters, which is less impressive since it missed the point of WHY they were strong
Just because you can solve a sheet of math problems doesn’t mean you’re going to be able to ace a three page essay on the poetry of Keats
This has been my thoughts on the matter, be sure to grab a souvenir from the gift shop
Also just going to sneak this in:
Danny should probably be more concerned about magic users
Magic clearly can affect him, just look at the Freak Show incident from season one, that’s not even getting into the reality gauntlet. Now add in the fact that there’s a variety of magic items/artifacts in DC and a slew other of magic uses and occultists that can summon and bind ghosts, spirits, and demons to do their bidding
Danny is firmly in the category of beings that magic specifically deals with, he should probably be a bit more concerned about magic users

I have another idea for a story, but I once again don't know what to write, so I'm building a skeleton.
It's a DC x DP x ML crossover. Damien, Marinette, and Danny are triplets born into the LoA. From birth, they were taught to not see each other as siblings but as rivals for Ra's attention. When they were five, they were dipped (more like dropped) into the pits for the first time. Danny never comes back out. The second time was when they were six. Damien and Marinette came back from a mission gravely injured. Marinette doesn't come back out. Damien becomes the sole heir.
As one can imagine, Danny and Marinette aren't dead but simply taken to where they were needed at the time. That being said, things for these two characters go mostly according to their respective shows after they integrate into society. With the exception that the two of them are more competent and don't fight like rabid raccoons. But things take a dark turn when they turn sixteen.
Marinette
. After finding out that his father is Hawkmoth, Adrien is unable to carry the weight of being the holder of the cat Miraculous, as he doesn't want to fight his father and gives it to Ladybug. He promptly moves to the States to further his modeling career. Marinette, unable to find someone else worthy to be the holder of the cat Miraculous, stores it away and becomes the sole hero of Paris (with occasional helpers). But because of this, her two lives get more intertwined, and she is forced into a corner where she has to choose between being Ladybuy or Marinette.
. But she doesn't get a chance as Hawkmoth is dethroned and replaced by an even greater threat. She is forced to take on the persona of LadyNoir. Her life crumbles as she tries her hardest to balance her life as a hero and a person. She tries to save everyone but someone always ends up getting hurt. Whether it be her as Marinette, clinging to what little of her life is left. Or her as LadyNoir, with no choice but to watch innocent civilians die because she couldn't think of a better plan that could've saved everyone.
. It gets to the point where she makes an unforgivable wish. But every wish has a cost. She only finds out the price when she is forced to stand behind an invisible wall and watch as her life replays before her eyes, the film slowly burning away till there's nothing left. She cries as she falls into an ocean of familiar Lazarus green.
Danny
. Danny's life is also crumbling around him as he struggles to separate his human life from his ghost half. But after becoming the Ghost King, things only became more complicated and even more dangerous as more ghosts started coming through the portal to challenge him for the crown. And while he would really love to give it away, the guys that kept fighting him for it are very clearly evil. So he has to keep fighting, winning, and solidifying his position as the King of the Infinite Realms. But with every win comes a newfound power. Power he doesn't want. Power that scares him.
. It gets to the point when Danny has to drop out of school. He wasn't even scoring double digits anymore so what was the sense of keeping him? But Danny couldn't stay home either, it was too dangerous as his ghost and human halves were slowly becoming one. And his parents' obsession was slowly becoming a threat to him. He thought he had the solution. He was going to shut down the portal and leave Amity Park.
. It was perfect really, as no ghost portal meant no ghost. And he couldn't be vivisected if neither the GIW nor his parents could catch him. He talked the plan over with team phantom and they reluctantly agreed. The ghost portal is destroyed, and Danny leaves Amity and files over Elmerton and a few other towns. But after flying for a while, Danny gets to a sort of border where nothing meets... NOTHING. On the other side was just an infinite void. Nothing.
. Danny slowly realizes that in this world, all he knew was Amity Park. He never actually traveled or went on field trips. Never went to visit extended family nor did any visit. No one 'new' ever came to Amity Park because they were all just nearby. He learned no relevant history besides Amity Park because there was nothing outside of Amity Park. When the realization had finally set in the world began to crumble into the void and it became a race against him and the void.
. Danny knew that he was fast but the void was faster, and before he knew it he was back in Amity. He was going to warn them and try to save as many people as he could. But saw something in their eyes. They already knew. Danny watched how teary eyes and big smiles, everyone and everything he loved crumbled into the void, fading into nothingness.
Scientists across the galaxy, the universe even, often theorize about how everything came to be. Well, it didn't start with a bang, that's for sure. 'Well then how did it start?' you might ask.
Well..., it started with some tears and a scream.

As someone who only watched Danny Phantom sporadically as a kid and is now watching it "properly" from start to finish as an adult, the Ghost King double episodes might actually be my favourite.
It has
A solid plot that makes sense and has been built up to in prior episodes
Vlad doing a lot of silly faces/poses, scheming around in broad daylight the whole time and actually pulling off a plan this time (instead of self-sabotaging like usual)
A lot of Valerie screen time, and everything that happened before with her pays off in this episode
Danny working with multiple of his enemies
Vlad in a mechanic outfit (I like Vlad ok, he gets to be twice on the list)
That ecto-suit in ghost form actually looked much cooler than expected in the end lol
Danny's parents being competent and actually doing a lot of work to help the city (and are recognised for it)
(if what I heard about Phantom Planet is true, then these episodes are basically what that finale could have been xD)

Here's a cursed ship:
Danny Fenton, out of his parent's grasp, now as an adult, goes to explore rumours of some rotten ectoplasm somewhere in some place called Nanda Parbat.
There he meets the one person that came the closest ever to killing him. Her sword was already in his very human chest before he transformed on instinct, barely avoiding a very painful injury that could've threatened his core.
Naturally, what is a guy to do? Fall head over heels, and gift her with a newly purified pool of ectoplasm that can help heal injuries without the Rage and Madness. Maybe gift her a throne of starlight after he deals with her manipulative old bastard father.
Oh, she has a kid from a prior relationship? Well, if she's ok with it, he'll do his best to help her raise him.
The League shift from indiscriminate murder to more Assassin's Creed-like "maintaining Balance" ideals.
Naturally, this confuses the Bats. They come to investigate.
No one was expecting to see Talia al Ghul sitting on a very comfy-looking throne, with an unknown but clearly powerful guy sparring against a small Damian, while the kid looks like he's having the time of his life.
Of course, as soon as their presence is noted, he's at Talias side, holding the tiny kid in his arms as she delivers her speech.
Oh, he's King of the Infinite Realms? Yeah, but this is the Living Realm, so he's going to defer to his Queen.
Talia initially tried plotting to take the Crown from Danny, but Ember and Kitty (who I headcanon both having dated Danny at different points of his life) laugh as if she told them a joke, and Grandpa Clocky takes his new Granddaughter-in-law aside to show her how her betrayal and manipulation would bring about Dan, stopping that plan in it's tracks then and there.
Ellie floats into the room in the middle of their discussion, and to add further confusion for poor Brucie, scoops up Damian and loudly announces she's taking her half-brother out for ice cream (female clone, from a boy's DNA? Yeah, Talia's DNA was exactly what was needed to stabilise her permanently).
Bruce is in a crisis.
Jason is laughing his ass off, now that Danny took the rotten ectoplasm out and put in fresh ecto in it's place, and he can properly appreciate the situation, especially how Danny looks like he could be related to Bruce, so naturally Talia also has a type.
Tim is three seconds away from asking for his spleen back.
Cass is dangling from Danny's shoulders after, in classic Ghost customs, she tried to attack him as an introduction. She's fine being carried like a sac of flour, Jason does that with her, too.
Dick, Duke, Steph and Babs stayed behind to protect Gotham, but Babs is always watching and/or listening, and she's a horrible gossip.
It's also Jason that comes to the horrifying realization that, the reason why Danny is still with Talia, is because Ghost culture is weird enough to be normal for the League, he's a similar type of dumbass as Bruce, without the elaborate revenge plot, AND he's a simp for women who could kill him.
Essentially: Danny is the cute lovable dumbass, who's Into That when his Love Interest has the capacity to easily kill him or snap him in half, if it weren't for the Ghost thing. And Ghost instincts are the kind of feral that Damian vibes with, so Damian likes this random guy Talia found on their doorstep, who's so stupid and yet competent he comes back around to being attractive, and is Commited to his new family.
I have yet to hear a friendly stepdad(?) Danny prompt before and I am loving it

DP X DC Writing Prompt: Non-OP Team Phantom
I have seen a decent amount of stories and ideas of Danny Phantom DC crossovers just treating Team Phantom as this secretly overpowered group of teenagers who can rival the Justice League and make them look like chumps because they fight powerful ghosts every single day and can handle world ending threats like it's something completely normal for them.
Like Tucker being a hacker skilled enough to easily hack circles around even the likes of Oracle and Cyborg, Sam and Jazz being competent fighters with all sorts of Anti-Ghost weapons, and Danny being the main powerhouse with his Half-Ghost arsenal of abilities (and may or not be the Ghost King depending on the story).
Now physically powerscaling wise based on the canon Team Phantom, that is kinda accurate (at least for most non-comic versions of the Justice League and such, otherwise Danny and his friends with their weapons would rank just below average at best compared to the average DC Herald but get outdone by the most powerful members at their best, but that's a topic I covered better on a different post).
However I wanna propose the more realistic and comedically hilarious exact opposite. Team Phantom are competent but they're still teenagers who aren't nearly as experienced as the Justice League or even the likes of the Teen Titans and Young Justice teams. Like Tucker is still really good with tech, Sam and Jazz still component against ghosts but only because of their Anti-Ghost weaponry, and Danny who would be a fairly strong hero protecting his town but outside of an Ecto-Skeleton, he's not quite qualified for world threatening disasters like Darkseid.
Don't get me wrong, they'd still be a competent group of heroes protecting Amity Park, but I wanna see the exact opposite of most stories. I just really wanna see Team Phantom being so out of their depth relative to basically the entire DC Universe.

Ok so hear me out here.
De-aged Danny
Along with Fright Knight
Both of them show up in Gotham.
With Danny showing up first and Fright Knight following after scrambling looking for his king.
So Danny would just going around causing(unintentional) trouble, beating up some of the batclans rouges and running from the mention batclan.
So Danny is running from the batclan coincidently when Fright Knight finally pinpointed his location.
Fright Knight appears, see Danny running from actually competent humans, thinks their ghost hunters(either with the GIW or The Fentons, he doesn’t care which) and then proceeds to appear in their path and fights them.
Both sides stop.
The Batclan in surprise, then falling into combat stances and sizing up this new threat(?)
Fright Knight gazing down upon the humans who have the nerve to try and capture his king for their no doubt sick and twisted experiments.
Both sides frozen in preparation to draw their weapons and for the other to make the first move.
until a child like voice calls out.
“Fright Knight!”
Both sides turn to the voice as Danny comes barreling full force into Fright Knight.
Causing Fright Knight to stumble and open his arms to catch Danny in a hug.
He then notices something off about danny.
“My liege, you are...smaller than you were before”
Then when their having their moment.
The Batclan is stunned that the child meta they were trying to chase after(out of concern) and that basically no one could get close to.
Is hugging this huge(no doubt meta) man that appeared out of nowhere.
Then Batman(being the ever stoic badass that he is) interrupts and asks whop Fright Knight is.

Arranged marriage a Danny/Diana idea...
Long time ago Diana's father Zeus/Hades (personally I pick Zeus because he is such a major bastard in greek mythology but Hades could be better with him being the ruler of the Underworld) made a treaty with Pariah Dark. In the treaty is said that the Ghost King could have one of his halfblood children once they fulfill certain requirements. Time goes by nobody fulfills those requirements. Meanwhile Pariah Dark is imprisoned and the treaty is forgotten about. Diana somehow fits all the requirements listed in the treaty. Danny who has become the Ghost King (he is an adult he didn't become the king until he had lived a human lifetime) gets notified about this previous unknown treaty becoming active. He unfortunately can't break the treaty but he can change it for the better. Instead of the halfblooded child being a slave to the Ghost King they become their partner (a more equal footing). Danny has Pandora arrange a meeting between him and Diana. Upon meeting Danny becomes smitten Fenton men are really into women who are smart, competent and can kick their ass.
