So the state of Virginia has "Virginia is for Lovers" as it’s tourism tagline. A friend and I thought that editing the logo to be Aromantic would be Incredibly Funny and I'm happy to say we were right. So here's some Aromantic Virginian pride edits.

I wish there was a dating app/site that focused on people on the aroace spectrum.

Like, not a full-on dating app.

Just somewhere where it'd be normal for me to come on and say "Hey, I'm demi-aroace, so I don't like you like that right away, but I'd love to meet new friends, and have a chance to develop deeper feelings while the other side is aware that it's a possibility and something I'm looking for!"

Somewhere for other aspec people to come to look for platonic/queer-platonic life partners.

Somewhere where it wouldn't be weird to look for purely platonic relationships with sex and relationships that are romantic but without the sexual aspect.

Somewhere where being open about being queer (with a focus on the aroace spectrum), being disabled, or any other thing that isn't "normal" and accepted in the typical dating pool, y'know?

Maybe we should all go back to making and being active in forums so it wouldn't be tied to someone having to work for hours to create a functional and marketable app :/

considering everything we see in "apology tour" and blitzø's character and interactions w others overall, i think it's safe to say that you could definitely read blitzø as on the aromantic spectrum.

sure, he's avoidant of deeper relationships, but i'm willing to bet part of the reason he gets the "fuckboy" title is because the other party doesn't make it clear that it's an exclusive arrangement, and he "cheats" by fucking other people, and then gets confused and upset and reacts with his usual anger response when they get upset w him.

he's a "heartbreaker" bc to HIM these relationships are just sex, w zero romance involved. it is literally a you problem if you catch feelings for him and then expect him to return them just because. of COURSE (under this reading) he reacts with confusion and anger and honestly a little hurt. it isn't his fault he's "shitty at relationships", after all.

obviously, none of this applies to his relationships with verosika or stolas. he clearly felt something romantic for verosika, and obviously he's in love w stolas. still, we saw that it took him a WHILE to develop real romantic feelings for stolas! to the point that he even felt trapped by it, scared of what it meant for their relationship.

he even classically confuses close friendly affection w romantic affection, as many arospec people do; just look at how he flirts with moxxie and millie! "i feel strongly for these people - it MUST be romantic affection, right?"

anyway, i'm not saying any of this is canonical. just saying it's definitely a theme that emerged to me, as somebody who's demi-aromantic myself.

Am I the only one who didn't feel anything when the Gelphies kissed?

I honestly don't remember even 20% of this book and I keep wondering if there was any emotional build-up between them or if it was as random as I remember 🤔

Like, even in the musical I ship Elphie with Fiyero but in the book they're just horny and that's it.

I think it's horrible and I was even happy when he died because I couldn't stand the sex scenes and him describing Elphaba's pussy while she was sleeping 🙄

How it felt to figure out I was aromantic

No but for real as a kid I pretended to like this boy in my class because everyone was having crushes on someone and I did NOT like him at all. I did however have a crush on my BFF at the time simply because I knew them better but of course never told them (<- demiaro experience)

I never felt fully attracted to someone alot but it also felt like it changed alot? So like sometimes I'd see whoever I was with as a close best friend of some sort and other times a romantic partner and other times a friend I kiss (<- aroflux experience)

There's alot I could talk about regarding love especially romantic love but I would just be babbling for like forever
