As a kid I didn't much like Scott Summers but as an adult I relate to him hard, especially the comics version as opposed to some of his more... ungenerous adaptations. He's trying his best to please an authority figure until he realises that authority figure isn't perfect and it creates decades worth of drama and conflict. He genuinely wants what's best for everyone but that doesn't stop him being a little bit of a selfish bastard on occasion. Every time he tries to improve things for himself fate goes "This is boring, kick him again!" He may not be the most outwardly, violently rebellious member of his team but he sure as shit ain't on the side of the cops. His power and his disability are the same thing. He's sick of people but he's still trying to help people. He survives when nobody expects him to. He's an autistic king who drifts towards relationships with mind readers because that's so much easier than verbally expressing his feelings. I get it now.
#shitpost#kinda#xmen#he's still not my favourite but he's moved up in the rankings#anyway if you're reading this and you're#an ambitious/powerful woman that's great at reading people and into brunette loser types#I am free to hang on Friday after 6#alternatively if you're a weirdo in need of a father figure but don't dig the idea of being a Wolverine protege#I can help with homework and teach you how to make soup

Miko, Rag, Jack with predicon , liked predicon holoform is human but it best describes as an old person who have highest authority in the Yakuza/Mafia, as the kids comes over to visit the autobots the predicon made traditional Japanese food and helping them with work and also telling them if they all get a B or higher in their test they'll get something nice for them as a reward
Like any grandparents would
Hmmmm, i love this. Let's hope you enjoy this also.
TFPKids x Predicon Reader
When (Y/N) joined team prime, it was quite the surpise. Especially for the kids of team prime. Since meeting (Y/N), she has become a second guardian for them.
When ratchet finally developed a device that makes Team Prime have human forms, also known as HaloForms, the kids got to see (Y/N)'s haloform.
What they weren't expected was an old lady who looked in their early 60's, had a sweet voice and gray hair, and seemed to already have candies that only grandmas have. (If you know, you know)
Even though (Y/N) was old and not able to help Team prime with fights, she helped out by watching the kids. She did not mind one bit, though.
When the kids get to base, (Y/N) asked them about their day, checks their grades and helps them with homework that they have.
When they are sick, (Y/N) offers meals she knows how to cook. Soups that haven't been heard before that went known from the years of people passing it down or forgetting it.
(Y/N) was called dragon granny. She was happy with that name and took it with pride.
Jack
Jack came to base after a long day.
He was stressed and exhausted, and he failed a history test because he just couldn't understand how Rome fell.
When (Y/N) noticed Jack acting different, she asked what was wrong.
When he explained, (Y/N) told him none worries and offered to teach him.
By teaching him, she means taking him back to her cave were she has artifacts from diffrent points from human history.
There, she showed diffrent artifacts and the story behind them while explaining the story behind Rome.
Jack passed with flying colors when he retook the test.
Miko
When miko came to base, she started ranting about an old Japanese soup that haven't been made in thousands years since people forgot how to make it.
While she talked to bulkhead about this, (Y/N) over heard and asked Miko if she ment the soup oden.
Miko explained she wants to learn it since only a selective amount of humans know the recipe and it's slowly disappearing from history.
(Y/N) explained that she knows how to cook it. Since she has been on earth since 25BCE (don't correct me because I actually don't know if that's a real date so.)
For the next 3 days, (Y/N) showed miko how to make oden and made sure she remmbers.
Miko was so happy about it that she taught her parents back home.
RAPH
Raphael went to (Y/N) when he found out (Y/N) has been on earth so long she has seen the rise and fall of all civilizations.
Raphael asked questions about China, Japan, India, Europe, even Mexico.
He asked about how the civilizations back then acted and what they used in everyday life since he wanted to compare today's items
(Y/N) told she can just show him and brings him to her cave.
There, she shows him all the swords, old pots, armor, foods, etc. That was from back then that were offerings to her.
Since back then, people thought she was a god.
Raphael wrote down everything and definitely made his day.

The Master Post from Serizawa Week 2024
I had lots of fun participating! Mine are little snapshots from the week, linking one day to the next.
If you would like more story read below.
Thanks @ygodmyy20 & @acermp100 for letting me bound ideas off you the whole week. Also, @yu-artist for sharing the Seriweek prompts!
Monday, March 25th - Friends
Serizawa made going back to school look so fun Minegishi decided to join. Sometimes Dimple/Yoshioka likes to stop by and say hello. Today he was a distraction to Serizawa, so he had trouble paying attention and listening to the homework assignment.
Tuesday, March 26th - School
Poor Serizawa, having to stay up late to finish an assignment. At least he's not alone. The cat's name is Gizmo! Thanks @acermp100 for the cat name suggestion. @secretagent9 I really love the idea of a Gundam name, but not being a fan I didn't know what to choose.
Wednesday, March 27th - Outfit
Reigen and Serizawa were hired to exorcise mischievous spirits that kept harassing the maids at a cafe. Serizawa was very tired from yesterday's school assignment and not on his A-game today.
Reigen volunteered to lure out the ghost by wearing a maid's outfit, but maybe he just wanted to wear it. Serizawa is wearing his cute butler outfit! The maids were very excited to dress him up, not so much Reigen
Reigen: Those brats! Wont even help me tie my apron. Grumble. *struggles to reach behind*
Serizawa: Here, let me. *zips up and hooks Reigen's dress and ties the apron*
Reigen: *many hand gestures* Competition, that's what is is Serizawa! I'm competition because of how good I look.
Serizawa: *chuckles* You do look good sir. Very pretty, very cute.
Reigen: R-really? *blush* I-I er, I mean of course! Now! Let's get to work!
Poor Reigen, he got ice water dumped on him several times that day. He wasn't feel great before the exorcism, but was wiped out by the end the assignment.
Thursday, March 28th - Food
Mrs. Serizawa is teaching Kastuya how to cook, so he can stop living off instant noodles. Today is a hearty beef & leak stew!
Mrs. Serizawa: Remember, the leaks need to be thoroughly washed.
Kastuya: Nods, Nods!
Mrs. Serizawa: Also, the more passion and enjoyment you put into your cooking will reflect in the final dish. So, relax and take it slow and your love will shine through.
Serizawa is learning how to make tonjiru soup. He wants to make it for someone "special" this week.
Friday, March 29th - Spring
Dimple: I don't get it. If you're worried about Reigen go check up on him.
Serizawa: I don't want to intrude on his privacy.
Dimple: Ugh, you two are impossible.
It was an unusual day. Reigen didn't show up for work and Serizawa just got a message from him saying "I n68 sick".
Saturday, March 30th - Comfort/Bravery
Serizawa: Reigen, please eat a little more.
Reigen: No, I feel so sick.
Serizawa: But you've not eaten since Thursday. Here, let me get you just some broth.
Reigen: Kastuya...
Serizawa: Y-Yes?
Reigen: I.... I... Bucket. I need the bucket.
Reigen proceeded to dry heave into the bucket while saliva and tears fell in. Serizawa rubbed his back while he continued to convulse for several minutes.
Sunday, March 31st - Birthday
Serizawa went over to check on Reigen, who surprised him by throwing a little birthday celebration. It was just the two of them, but Reigen originally had planned something bigger. Luckily, the present, a multiplayer game, arrived on time, so they could play together.
Reigen was still sick, and drugged up, and making bad decisions. But Serizawa didn't mind. A love confession from Reigen made this the best birthday.

It's another busy week, so I'm gonna do one of these again because it genuinely helps me keep track. Today in a nutshell!
Worked on some e-mails over breakfast - mostly coordinating for dinner tonight (I 100% did not forget to make the reservation, I promise, I just uhhhhhhhhhhh definitely didn't forget, that's for sure, and thank goodness for no particular reason that they happened to have one table left at 6PM), happily agreeing to write some reference letters for my PhD student's postdoc applications, rescheduling some meetings, setting new meetings, meetings meetings meetings. Oh, and booking tables for a couple of card shows this month! Off to work!
I get in a little later than I'd like and rush downstairs to the lounge to make my mug of tea pre-class, where I run into a student who just defended his PhD last week. I'm on his reading committee, so we agree to set up a time to go over my (honestly quite minor) comments on his dissertation. I also run into our incredible facilities guy, who follows up on some technical issues my students ran into over the weekend, hopefully resolved - I have five groups of three undergraduate students running their own weather stations all across the metro area of our city!
No time to enjoy the tea, so I leave it to steep a hilariously long time and rush back downstairs to teach my class! This year's students are truly exceptional - apparently over the weekend they all discovered that the Mac version of the data collection software for their weather stations is no longer supported, and they all independently coordinated to get PCs into the hands of all 5 groups. Let me tell you, when you're expecting to have to spend the first 20 minutes of the class troubleshooting and are instead greeted by a quiet, expectant two rows of faces, it's a great feeling.
Today's lecture is a topic I'm really passionate about - teaching students the "why" behind a lot of the statistical methods they've learned in the past (these are college seniors) and working on building a pipeline for exploratory data analysis. This isn't explicitly part of the syllabus, but my gosh, the quality of the final reports has improved sharply once I introduced these lectures. The students participated a bunch and happily launched into think-pair-share groups without my having to coordinate them. This is my sixth time teaching this class, and these students are far and away the best I've encountered. I am also very, very bad with names (and have a lot of anxiety about calling someone by the wrong name) but managed to successfully use an example in class in which I rattled off four students' names in a row, no effort needed. Phew.
As a side note, this has always been far and away my least-favorite class to teach, and this was the year I was gonna change that - I brought it to a curriculum development workshop last year and even presented on it at an education conference last week. But... dang, having strong students truly makes it effortless to enjoy teaching this class.
Back to my office, which smells like the double-spiced chai that has been steeping so long it's probably quadruple-spiced by now. Delicious. I have an hour until my next commitment, so I try to get ahead on grading the homework assignment my students handed in on Friday (all 15 of them handed it in on time!!!!). I also realize that this is my last block of free time until dinner, so I run downstairs to heat up my soup for lunch.
After getting through four of the assignments, it's time for a weather briefing (we have a team for a national forecasting competition), which means it's mostly just time for technical difficulties, but we make it through in the end and wrap up a bit early - back to grading! Students are doing great on this assignment overall, which is gratifying, but I make a note of a topic some of them are struggling on so I can mention it during Wednesday's class.
Weekly hour-long meeting with one of my Master's students! He talked about how he's taking a course on pedagogy to help with his work as a teaching assistant this quarter (!!) and he's been working through my first round of revisions of his very first first-author scientific journal article and had a few clarifying questions. I recommended some off-the-wall papers in the communications literature that I think would dovetail well with some of the discussion in his paper, and he was really jazzed to get to explore those. We also decided to get him set up with a million core-hours on a supercomputer so he can start on the next phase of his research - he promised to have the paper ready for the next set of revisions by the end of the week, so while I'm working on that, he can get familiar with the new system. I am also reminded that I really need to come up with some more substantial funding for him - currently he's working on a fellowship, but that runs out after three years.
After he heads out (a few minutes early, more grading time!) I get an e-mail from a scientist in Switzerland - she and I are working on getting her out here for a two-year postdoc job studying lightning with me. She's made revisions on her application for funding, so that's another thing for me to read over this week. I'm also reminded that I have to get back to an Italian grad student who wants to come visit my group for a year. Still figuring out the logistics on that one...
I also need to get back to a forestry service colleague of mine about getting the university my share of the funds for our fast-approaching field work using brand-new radar tech to study wildfire smoke plumes. I really, really need to get back to him this week - I think we're planning on flying out in April to start.
ALSO also this week, I have some pretty intense revisions of my own to deal with - I've been given this opportunity to write a huge review article, and I finally got it done back in December... only to learn that they want it to be about half that length. I'm going to take a swing at carving 5,000 words out of that behemoth.
AND a colleague and I are working on a resubmission of a grant to study thunderstorms in really unusual places, and I promised her I'd have a complete draft for her to read by the 7th. Phew. Good thing my week is only front-loaded with meetings.
Whoops, no more time to grade/read e-mails and schedule in my head. We have someone here today interviewing for a job on our faculty, and I'm one of the search committee members! Better dash downstairs to catch the candidate's talk. We have five two-day interviews planned for the next four weeks. Ouch.
Awesome talk by the candidate (we're very lucky to be spoiled for choice even in our very specialized field - we've whittled 86 qualified candidates down to five), and I launch straight from that into a student's PhD entrance exam. At this stage I should mention how much I genuinely loathe our PhD entrance exam, which is a pedagogical and logistical nightmare all around. This was a very popular opinion, which is why we as the faculty voted unanimously to completely change the process last year. Why are there students still taking this horrible exam???? Fuck if I know, man. At this point, it's voluntary to opt into it, and I am baffled and deeply frustrated at how many faculty members apparently encouraged their students to take it. Anyway, the student does a great job and we muddle through somehow, and now it's back up to my office to do some cramming on small-talk topics before a colleague and I host the faculty candidate for dinner!
A delightful dinner all around - my colleague is someone I was initially intimidated by (she's a giant in the field) but with whom I have since bonded, so we had some fun banter in the car and I think it helped the job candidate relax a little. We had some fun big-picture talk (and some less-fun big picture talk about news that dropped as we were eating) but mostly just talked about how much we love this part of the world. Good food, drink, and conversation. On the car ride home, I managed to troubleshoot a problem my undergrad research assistant was having with getting access to the supercomputer he needs for his project. Phew.
That's a long day, but good stuff all around!

O’Knutzy Week Day Two let's gooo
Posting a day late because *gestures vaguely* life, but it's here! It's happening!
Leo, Finn and Logan belong to @lumosinlove <3 Written for @oknutzyweek2023 <3
Day 2: Cooking Mishaps (A2)
Dear Mama and Dad,
I’ve officially been in the UK for a month, but it feels like longer. It is SO fucking cold. Hogwarts is amazing, but there aren’t enough heating charms in the world to make me like November up here. Can you send another quilt for the bed? One of the super warm ones Nana makes?
I WON THE FIRST TASK! Even Kasey said he couldn’t have done it any better. (You know how he’s student-teaching? He actually got to come here as one of the chaperones. I’ve got other friends here too, but it’s nice to see him every day again. It’s kind of like before he graduated, except he can give detentions now, haha)
I know y’all always tell me don’t go borrowing trouble, but the tournament is intense, and the second task has nothing to do with the first one. It helps to go into it with the most points, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna win or even come second next time. Doesn’t help that I have no idea what it’ll be, so no idea how to prepare. All we have are the golden eggs from the first task, and we haven’t figured out how to open them to see the next clue yet.
We meaning me, Logan and Finn. You know how I said we agreed to a truce and were gonna help each other get through the year? I think we’re actually real friends now. We’ve been meeting up most nights (yes I’m still doing my homework) and Finn’s been showing us all the best secret spots in the castle. Although honestly, we just end up in the kitchens most of the time, making tea or sandwiches or whatever. I’ve even cooked a little. Had a few mishaps because sometimes I forget everything’s in metric, but I made some chicken & rice soup last night that was pretty good. Finn said he’d pay me to make it again if he gets sick, and Logan had seconds even though he usually just wants sweet stuff at night.
Some people are kinda pissed at me for being so friendly with them because they’re "the competition" (same thing for Finn and Lo), but they don’t get how hard it would be if we didn’t have each other’s backs. All the prep on top of school is a lot, and there’s crazy pressure to win from everyone, even the teachers. We’re still all playing to win, but it’s nice not to be alone. And I actually like them, like outside of all this. You can meet them when you come here to watch the third task in April. Maybe they can come visit this summer?
I really miss you. And Mama’s food. And the animals. And being WARM. But I’m good, so don’t worry. Kermit’s liking it too, I think, but I have to keep him away from Finn’s owl. There’s no truce in their future.
Love,
Leo
•
Cher Maman et Papa,
Je vais bien. Je travaille dur pour gagner la prochaine tâche. Simone mange trop de tartes au poisson et ronfle dans mon oreille la nuit.
Je t'embrasse,
Logan

From the personal website of Taylor Santoro (taylorgrace.com):
Welcome back to my Thursday Evenings series! Today we'll be spending the evening with Sara Scott. She and her husband Simon have two boys, Robbie (10) and Nicholas (6).
The Scotts moved to Henford-on-Bagley about eleven years ago, where they run a local pub called the Gnome's Arms. I'm always on the lookout for moms who can combine running a business and raising a family, and I hope you'll enjoy this peek into Sara's life as much as I did!
Sara and Simon have a team of employees who help keep the pub running, but they're both on-site every afternoon. The boys arrive at the Gnome's Arms at about 4:30. Robbie takes horseback riding lessons at a local farm, while Nicholas is rehearsing for the school play.
Because Henford is such a close community, Sara feels confident letting her boys roam through town on their own. Robbie stopped by the grocery stand for a last-minute snack, while Nicholas got some homework help from a local highschooler. "I think it's important for my children to develop independence and confidence," says Sara. "We are so lucky to live in a place where they can explore safely."
Like many families, the Scotts make time for a family dinner — but theirs takes place at the pub! "We need to be present during the evening rush, but dinner is an important time for us to connect with the boys. We have a table that we consider 'ours' so we can spend that time with them while being on hand if our employees need us."
After dinner, Simon headed home with the boys to take care of some evening chores. While the Scotts don't own a large farm like many Henford families, they raise a few crops in their backyard and even have a flock of chickens! Robbie and Nicholas take turns feeding them and gathering the eggs. "Responsibility is another important value for us," says Sara. "Chickens and crops need attention every day whether you feel like it or not!"
Sara stayed a bit later than usual at the pub, but she made a point of being home by 9 pm to kiss the boys good night and put them to bed. "The pub will still be standing in fifteen years. But they'll only be six and ten for a little while, and I want to savor it!"
That's definitely a lesson that this mama will be taking away! Join me next time for another Thursday evening!
@.sara.loves.gnomes: Thank you so much for these sweet pictures and for spending the evening with us!!!
@.inkspirations: <3 <3 <3
@.tradwife56: Now this is the kind of content I'd like to see more of! What a Godly woman, raising her own food and teaching her boys some wonderful traditional values!!!!
(A/N: Not gonna lie, it was nice to take a break from Justin’s nonsense and spend some time with the very wholesome Scotts!)

Day 5 Morning: Is it really true?
Trigger warning. OCD, Anxiety, PTSD, ED, Depression Venting
I didn’t decide to do this blog until late last night and even then I guess I’ve been feeling alone with grief and anger. It only was confirmed Friday morning though there were talks Thursday night. So I guess I could say 4, but I was made aware of this before hand. I have a horrible urge to redo everything, scrub away germs, panic, keep work going, and try and calm the anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD.
Now it’s in the stage of “What’s our next step?” “Are you going to be okay if I let you go home?” “Please try this.” “We are going to meet to see what to do.” “You’re homework is to research this.” “Call your insurance to see if these places will let you do outpatient treatment.”
Did you guess what it is?
For me, the new diagnosis is Anorexia Nervosa—restrictive calories and purge workouts.
My team behind me started the process. A new system for my therapist had me redoing some questionnaires, which then had ED. Dietitian got involved and the endocrinologist did the testing to see where my numbers were. Well shit. TS3 was high but that was because of the birth control. Most all numbers were good. A1C was going up slowly, BUN was the lowest it’s been from where it usually is.
I never thought of it—I thought it was normal to not be hungry sometimes. You know, be turned off by food sometimes. Plus, with my OCD, well there’s the compulsive side hoping the food is safe and not contaminated. And that could be eating at a new place or bring food from home an hour away in a bag that is safe but it’s still not enough. At the time I can have it, it’s not fresh. It’s wrong. That’s where OCD can be hand in hand with this. Lucky me, right?
Woah. Rewind. How did you not know this was happening? And where is the purge workouts coming in?
When the pandemic hit, I picked up running. I started at a mile and then hit the runners high. I could do 5K a year later without stopping and soon was doing 10K. I lost so much weight and was so proud. 220 down to 190. I wasn’t stuck in a car driving back and forth.
Don’t get me wrong, I love teaching my piano and flute students. What I don’t like is the drive. Times like that, I wish I can just teleport.
Fast forward to today. I realize I’m finding ways around the “you can do this for only so long.” Well then I will bike for 2 miles. I’ll walk for 2 miles. And keep going with using a push lawn mower and lifting things. We’re good with that, right? And that was this summer. I figure if I don’t workout during the time I’m teaching restricting the calories is smart.
Oh and don’t forget the food portion. Eating between 300-500 calories (usually 300-350). And that’s unintentional I think mostly. Why? Because when I drive. I take a granola bar, a ginger ale in case I get sick, and a pack of saltines. I don’t usually drink the ginger ale, and have half a pack of saltines. I always have mints with me. And if I don’t miss Panera, then it’s just the 100 calories soup, mostly.
So, yes. I have an ED and will start out patient treatment soon since I still have to make a living and can’t take time off. Got to love the cost of living. I have an ED as a person who weighs 235lbs. And then I get angry at those who can lose weight and I can’t. I did the diets too. I have the right food. But I don’t cook for me anymore. I don’t want too.
Why start a blog? Because I need to vent. I need a place to just….come to terms with it. And see the progress. Loads of things come to my mind that I didn’t know or that I could have. Finally, to share a story I suppose. Even if you don’t read it.
You’re not alone. Even though that voice makes you feel like you are. You aren’t. Get the help you need. Reach out.
If you are in a crisis and need help immediately, call 988 or continue to contact Crisis Text Line by texting “NEDA” to 741741 to be connected with a trained volunteer at Crisis Text Line. Crisis Text Line is a separate organization staffed by volunteers who provide free, 24/7 support via text message to individuals who are struggling with mental health, including eating disorders, and are experiencing crisis situations.
And here’s the website if you need more resources. Good luck.

When He's Sick: TWST x Reader Headcanons
Sorry about the long gap between posting. Been very busy teaching 7 classes. I loooove sick fic tropes though so I decided to put together some headcanons for each boy
GN!Reader. TW: Sickness, emeto
Riddle Rosehearts: Riddle has a hard time accepting it when he's sick, and an even harder time accepting help. He takes pretty excellent care of himself. The side effect of being raised by two doctors is you know how to manage a cold or fever. The biggest hurdle is getting him to slow down. Unless he's at death's door he all but refuses to delegate any more work to Trey than usual. He's at least staying away from meetings and class (it would be irresponsible to let someone else get sick because of him) but you will have to pry his homework and paperwork out of his cold dead hands. Offer to at least write for him while he dictates. Its a little easier to get him to fall asleep and then take care of it while he's out.
He's very strict about you taking precautions to avoid catching whatever he has. No snuggling, and sanitize everything you touch together. However, if you want to spoil him a little, bring him some of his favorite treats. His mom always kept him on such a strict diet, never moreso than when he was sick. Having someone coo over him a little and bring him a strawberry tart or two means a lot, even if he doesn't actually feel up to eating it.
Trey Clover: Like Riddle, he's prone to wanting to take care of everything himself. It'll be hard fought to even get him to admit he's sick. He's always pretty insistent that its nothing a good cup of tea and a nap can't fix. Even when forced to slow down he always tries to put a positive spin on it. Look at you getting all worked up over nothing, honestly, that soup you brought by earlier probably cured him. He's fine-
Once cornered into it, Trey actually doesn't mind a little pampering. For as much as he insists you shouldn't go out of your way for his sake he does ENJOY the attention when he has no choice but to accept it. For the most part though, he just wants company, and someone to keep him in the loop so he doesn't stress himself sicker waiting for Ace or Riddle to burn the whole place to the ground.
Cater Diamond: Cater can be a huge baby about being sick but he actually tends to be pretty withdrawn about it. Especially around you. He looks so uncute like this, all snotty and flushed and pukey, and he doesn't want you to see him looking this nasty. Sure, its a silly thing to worry about, but he can't really help it. Honestly the best service you can provide for Cater at this time is finding ways to make him feel a little more human. Help brush his hair, scrub his face so he feels a little less icky, find some nice candles to help aerate the sick smell. It humiliates him that you had to see him in such a gross state of being, but it really means the world to him that he doesn't have to spend the next week feeling like an absolute filthbeast. He'll protest a little bit about you getting sick too, but ultimately he's too much of an extrovert to turn down company. Curled up in bed, his head on your lap as you scroll through his feed, he can't help but think maybe this isn't so bad.
Ace Trappola: Ace has a pretty hearty constitution. His first instinct when he's sick is to celebrate: finally, a reason to cut class that no one can give him any guff for. As it actually starts to set in, though, he's pretty miserable. He gets bored being around the same things every day, and he gets irritable when he feels all achey and nauseous all the time. The main service you can offer to him is your company. Bring him gossip, bring him some snacks, bring him anything to help pass the time. He overheats pretty easily so he's not going to be super down for snuggling or getting cozy. He does like being spoiled, though, and will absolutely play cute and helpless if it'll convince you to spoonfeed him or be his gofer for the the day. Ultimately he's in a rush to get this over with, but he could get used to the side perks.
Deuce Spade: Deuce gets homesick in a bad way when he's sick. His mom always did certain things to help take care of him, even taking time off when she could, and they're some of his most special memories. He always dreads having to take care of himself when he's sick because he feels her absence so strongly during that time. While obviously there's no replacing his mom, you earn points with him in a big way by making an attempt. You can't recreate her special soup but you can make sure he has something hot to eat. He'd feel awkward about you singing him a lullaby but he loves being held, having his hair petted. Deuce doesn't want you to put yourself too far out, or worse, get you sick as well. But these little gestures mean the whole world to him and help ease that loneliness.
Leona Kingscholar: Leona's in a weird place about sickness. He was never NEGLECTED growing up, he had people to take care of him and make sure he had access to the best medicine and care. But as always, he has to compare. When his brother got sick you'd think it was a national fucking incident with the way his family, their advisors, and the staff would all carry on. Its not as though no one cared at all when he was sick. Its just also hard not to notice when your every fever and chill isn't accompanied by hand wringing anxiety and being waited on hand and foot.
All this to say, by this point in his life he tends to sleep through most sicknesses (as he does with everything else he finds unpleasant). He assumes meals will be brought to him but beyond that isn't really asking for much. He plays off his surprise when you do show up, mostly just telling you your fussing is giving him a headache. He's not turning you away though. You find him in general a lot more compliant than usual, eating and drinking what he's given and submitting himself to physical affection without his usual need to dominate it. There's still complaining, of course, if there wasn't you'd assume he was on death's door. But....for as much as he won't admit it. Its nice to have someone worry. Like it matters. Like he...really, really matters.
Ruggie Bucchi: In contrast to his spoiled housewarden Ruggie never really had many people to watch out for him when he was sick. There was his grandma of course, but conditions were always such that he could never really expect a lot of one on one tlc. Best to beat it as fast as possible and get back to work before anyone can worry. He's got a list of home remedies as long as his arm and they're usually enough to get him back on his feet.
Unlike someone like Trey or Deuce, though, Ruggie isn't stupid enough to look a gift horse in the mouth. If you're offering to spoil him then who is he to turn you down. He'll happily eat up any attention he can get and get a little enjoyment out of being the one having things fetched for (rather than the fetcher). He still doesn't like being out for the count to long, it makes things prone to pile up, but for as long as it lasts he's going to enjoy it, damn it.
Ultimately the worst inconvenience of Ruggie getting sick is realizing how many well-oiled machines have come to depend on him. Savanaclaw is in shambles after just a couple of days, not to mention any side gigs he currently has going. While definitely not opposed to taking help where he can get it (as long as it doesn't impact his bottom line)....he's honestly a little flustered and embarrassed if you try to take on ALL his responsibilities. C'mon, no need to go that far...sure, he does it every day but he's USED to it, its different for you...how?....Whatever! Just leave it, alright, your presence is more than enough.
Jack Howl: As a point of pride Jack almost never gets sick. Growing up with a handful of younger siblings means your body works through the common cold like its nothing, and he takes excellent care of his body. Still, he's not untouchable, and when he gets sick its for KEEPS. We're talking barely able to stay awake for more than a couple hours, zero appetite, sneezing like a cannon.
As per usual he does his best to be strict with you. No sleeping over and you better be washing your hands regularly. When he's this zonked, though, he doesn't really have the energy to turn you away. Loath as he is to admit it it feels nice having someone fussing over him a little. Pets and soup are all a good way to help, of course. But if you really want the gold star? Help him keep on top of his schoolwork. It may not be the most romantic thing in the world but its the kind of gesture that hits really deep with him. Suffice to say that if you do get sick you will have the most overbearing nurse in the world once he's recovered.
Azul Ashengrotto: The absolute king of denial. Azul is very, very good at hiding when he's sick. I'm talking makeup to hide fever flush and tucking a cough drop under his tongue so you won't notice, its like he's a political dignitary on an election tour. The tell is always that he'll avoid the kitchens at Mostro Lounge. A plague outbreak is bad optics. Once caught in the act, as per always it turns into a negotiation. X number of bed rest hours in exchange for being allowed to go to the office every day, taking medicine in recommended doses in exchange for being allowed to attend class, so on and so forth.
If you were looking for tenderness you've come to the wrong place. Azul HATES being sick, hates any case when his stupid body threatens to interrupt business hours. Fortunately, you're not alone. With a little collusion from the twins he can be effectively held hostage in his room when he gets really bad. He'll wail and gnash his teeth, try everything in his power to get loose...and then eventually slump into acceptance just to get it over with.
Secretly some part of him does enjoy being a little doted on. But from beginning to end you're going to have a very unhappy camper who is very resistant to any attempts to coddle him. Once he's out of it, he'll make it up to you. At the end of the day, he prefers to be the one doing the spoiling.
Jade Leech: Surface sicknesses are hit or miss for mermen. Sometimes scarlet fever could sweep through the school and leave nary a dent, sometimes a common cold will have them levelled for days at a time. Regardless of which it is, Jade takes care of himself out of habit. No particular tragic backstory reason for it. He just does. While he and Floyd come from very comfortable family backgrounds their father always advised a degree of self sufficiency which Jade in particular takes to heart. He takes his medicine, sleeps, and does his best to not let his responsibilities fall by the wayside.
He's pleasantly surprised when you show up to help, if a little confused. He would never ask...and yet here you are. How curious.
Jade's not really a big cuddler at the best of times but especially not now. In general, his sensory needs are regressing. Its best to help keep his room as dark as possible, and as cold as possible. He'll sometimes accept you laying on top of him to simulate some pressure, but usually with a few blankets in between you. What he appreciates most are being brought meals, and keeping Azul (and at times, Floyd) off his back. Quietly taking the weight off his shoulders is something he appreciates more than he can express, and gives him the time he needs to recover.
Floyd Leech: "Man flu" could never dream of touching Floyd flu. Jade is very used to dealing with Floyd's moodiness and demands, and even he would describe sick Floyd as "a bit much". Being sick is his 8th circle of hell. He feels like total garbage, he can't leave his room to do any of the things he enjoys, and most people avoid him just to avoid catching it. Its the wooorst and not even having a free pass from work can improve it.
All this to say, he is going to be in your dms the second Azul orders him to stay home, practically begging you to at least get on the phone with him for a bit. God help you if you decide to show up, you're never getting out of his room. The second you're in arm's reach he has you on the bed, winding his whole body around yours and whining incoherently about how awful everything is and how you need to be nice to him.
Not to say there are no perks. For as whiny as he's being there's something oddly adorable about how needy he is. He wants you in his arms as much as possible, insisting that the pressure and the warmth helps. He'll pour on the praise for any food you make him (even when you both know he could do better with his eyes closed) sheerly for the novelty of having you feed him. Most of all, though, he's putting in a concerted effort to be sweet and behave. You're not his brother, he knows you can leave if you get fed up with him so he's doing everything in his power to make you want to stay.
All this to say, at a certain point you just have to accept that you're going to get sick too. Don't worry to much about it, though. Once he's all better he promises to take just as good care of you as you did of him~
Kalim Al-Asim: Like Leona, Kalim grew up with access to the best and most devoted healthcare money could buy. Despite that, Kalim is actually really really bad at letting himself be sick, especially if its anything that could take more than a couple days of recovery. He just hates to make anyone worry! His younger siblings especially get so upset if their big brother can't play for a week, really its easier for everyone if he bounces back quickly even if it means he's not QUITE better yet.
This puts him in a rough spot at NRC. He's so used to being looked after that he has no idea how to take care of himself, but he's also really reluctant to stay down for more than a few days. Keeping him confined and resting is an ordeal, one Jamil is more than happy to hand over to you once you get wind of why your boyfriend hasn't been showing up for class.
Kalim feels bad that he made you worry. However, BECAUSE it is you you'll find its pretty easy to get him to comply, at least moment to moment. He'll still try to insist he's all better every morning, but he'll also let you feed him and take his medicine when you ask. Its a weird mix, but it also wouldn't be Kalim if he didn't at least try to make it fun for both of you. Its too bad you're both stuck here, but hey, perfect time to catch up on that show you've been wanting to watch with him! As long as you take some precautions he's pretty content to treat it like a sleepover, and with some cajoling he can be convinced to at least hold out until he actually is feeling better.
Jamil Viper: Is it really any surprise that this is yet another area where Jamil's experience is polar opposite to his housewarden's. His parents were never cruel, of course, they'd never force him out to work while he was honestly ill. But even at a young age he was very quick to catch the little passive aggressive remarks, the prodding comments asking if he was SURE he was still unwell. The young master was asking about him after all....maybe a cup of tea and you'll be fine to go play with him? It wouldn't do to let him get too lonely...
His default mode is still to evade and ignore it. As long as he can still keep himself upright he'll act like everything's fine. It really only takes some gentle prodding from you, though, to make him realize....right. He doesn't have to do that anymore. Letting himself be free of his parents wishes can mean this too. You find him surprisingly quick to acquiesce when you offer to take care of him, as long as you can promise the dorm won't collapse around his ears.
Despite his intentions, Jamil still doesn't really know how to let himself be taken care of. If he wants something he's very instinctively going to do it himself. Still...he finds he enjoys it. Being brought food. Having time to sleep even in the middle of the day. Even a little of the babying, mortifyingly enough. You'll know you've really succeeded when he asks you to read to him. It helps him unwind, and lets him enjoy your company without having to expend the energy to talk.
Vil Schoenheit: For as much of a workaholic as he is, Vil is actually quite strict about taking time off when he's unwell. It helps that it doesn't happen often. He's fit as a fiddle, keeps regular eating and sleeping hours, and is quick to avoid anything seasonal that might be making the rounds. The second he realizes he's not well enough to present himself at his best, though, is the second he's whipping his phone out and making calls. He won't let himself be seen at anything less than his usual perfection, much less risk permanent damage to his throat or lungs by pushing himself past his limits. His father took a lot of pains to instill in him that events come and go, but your body is an instrument you'll have your whole life.
Vil doesn't really need, or want, a nursemaid at this juncture. You'd be competing with Rook for the job anyways, and that's a zero sum game. What he does need, though...is someone who makes it clear its ok for him to be human. For as good as he is about taking care of himself, FORGIVING himself for it is harder. Vil's got a pretty thick skin, but the idea of letting people down (whether that's his fans or his classmates) is a hard pill for him to swallow. Yes, it's important, but it doesn't change the disappointment people would feel having a meet and greet cancelled, or the damage it may do to his brand by last minute cancelling an interview. Don't baby him, but...keep rebutting his negative internal monologue. Even if he rolls his eyes...he does appreciate it. Because he knows you mean it.
As with Cater, helping him look a little less like a snot monster is greatly appreciated. He can comb his own hair and wash his own face, of course. But...well, after all, this is one of those things having a partner is supposed to make more fun. You see a different side of Vil when you're helping him apply a face mask after watching him puke his guts out. It may not be a very cheerful side, but its a very tender one, and it gives you something brand new to appreciate about your ever flawless boyfriend.
Rook Hunt: Though he may not look it Rook catches things pretty easily. A side effect of spending most of your nights perched in a tree or tucked in some underbrush. His immune system's pretty efficient, and he tends to process things quite quickly. Still, once spotted sniffling into a hanky or hiding away to cough you are on him like a woodtick. He submits to it in pretty good humor, even teasing you about his inability to elude your sharp-eyed gaze. Who's really the hunter here, mm?
Though he does enjoy being on the receiving end of your undivided attention, Rook's surprisingly hard to keep still. He gets too restless, eager to slip off and pursue more of his beautiful things. I'd advise getting Vil on your side here. Passion or no, a direct order from his housewarden is something Rook won't violate. He makes up for it tenfold by singing your praises the whole time you're caring for him. You think he starts composing a poem in honor of your thermometer wielding ways at a certain point. He's back on his feet quickly. But rest assured, he'll find some way to demonstrate his appreciation more materially.
Epel Felmier: The thing about a farm is there really isn't such a thing as sick days. You could be coughing up blood; the apples still need brought in, or they'll start to rot and the crop'll go to waste. Epel's used to muscling through most common sicknesses, takes a fair amount of pride in it even. He also HATES being babied. It makes him feel fragile and stupid and useless.
All this to say it actually takes him a while to admit he's sick to you. No chance of going to class, his eagle eyed housewarden confined him to bedrest the second he caught him looking a little too pale. But it takes longer for him to stop acting like he isn't just really busy over text. He doesn't want you to feel like you have to come over and make a whole production of it.
Despite his reluctance to let you know about it and his resistance to anything that resembles mothering, Epel actually finds he's relieved to see you. Sappy or not, he misses you a lot when he can't see you. He puts up a show of being stubborn, but really he hates seeing you worried and will fold like paper at any kind of insistence.
Alright, maybe its not SO bad...but only for a little longer!
Idia Shroud: Shockingly enough I don't think Idia actually gets properly sick often. He takes awful care of himself, eating rarely and sleeping even less, so he usually FEELS like dogshit. But actual escalation into meaningful symptoms, a fever or a cold or a stomach bug, is surprisingly rare. Something to do with not leaving his room to catch anything.
When it does happen he tries to milk the shit out of it, taking it as a free excuse to hole up in his room for a few days and do nothing but game. It quickly backfires, though, when Ortho makes him lie down or take medicine (usually resulting in a very miraculous "recovery" if he's at anything less than death's door).
Its VERY different with an s/o. At first he's mostly just mortified you're going to see him in this state. He's gross enough in his default state, if you see him like this you're gonna run away for sure! Once reasonably assured that you're not going to kick him to the curb over some puke, though, he discovers two things. One: its really, REALLY nice to have an attractive person baby you when you're sick. Two: technically Ortho can't kick him off his games if he just has you working through the notifications. Hope you're ready to take over his gacha management. He drafts up a booklet for you to fill out it would be actually aggravating if he weren't giving you the biggest heart eyes over it.
Mostly he's an easier patient for you than he is for his brother, though when he digs in his heels it can take ages to talk him into anything else. God help you if he's sick in the midst of a project because you are going to have to drag him back to bed kicking and screaming. Ultimately, though, he really just wants to be petted on a little.
Malleus Draconia: Fae health is robust as a general rule which is why Malleus getting the sniffles is enough to send Diasomnia into Defcon 3. Had Lilia not thought to invite you over you think it's possible you might have lost contact with him for a month.
Mostly, being sick isn't a very big deal for Malleus. He takes his medicine, he sleeps, and its done with. He's finding a very fresh novelty in having you around, though. He doesn't want you to trouble yourself too much over him. His constitution is impressive. But he does appreciate the opportunity for some one on one time, and will even put up with a little pampering if you really want to.
If you want to earn his eternal gratitude, keep his attendants soothed and off his back. As much as he might love them its the surest thing to put him out of temper.
Lilia Vanrouge: You're fairly certain Lilia only gets sick when he wants to be sick. Maybe its that with centuries of perfecting his healing magics you know a bacterial invasion is no problem to clear up. Maybe its just that he only ever seems to catch something when he has an assignment he doesn't feel like doing coming up. Who can say really.
As with Malleus how much nurturing you really want to do for Lilia is up to you. He's more than capable of taking care of himself. Unlike Malleus though Lilia relishes letting you play nursemaid and will absolutely play up being a little pathetic and needy for the attention. Its such a silly and childish thing to do, and that's why he does it. Its practically a dare as his eyes flutter pathetically while you take his temperature, or in the moony-eyed look he gives you as you spoon soup into his mouth. You may have to cut him off at some point, he's having entirely too much fun. Rest assured, you will be swiftly repaid.
Sebek Zigvolt: Leans the hell into "the fae are too strong for your puny human diseases!!" but he's really bad at hiding when he's sick. His sneezes and coughs seem to echo through the whole building.
Sebek is an absolute wreck when he's sick, practically begging to be allowed out to resume his duties. Half the reason Lilia asked you to watch out for him is it was the only way to really pacify him. He'll be a total pest the whole time, badgering you to check his temperature every hour or so because he's CERTAIN he's all better now. You're half convinced he's about to ask you to tail Malleus on his behalf and bring him back detailed reports.
Its largely ridiculous, but its also a deeply vulnerable position for him. Sebek never wants to appear weak, especially not in front of you. He's embarrassed that you feel like you need to look out for him. At the same time, though...he's touched that you care to. That you can see him in this state and not think less of him, can in fact even be more affectionate and sweet than usual. It doesn't make him more patient, but it does mean he files it away as yet another thing to admire about you.
Silver: Sick constantly. Turns out there's side effects to dozing off out in the open all the time. He does his best to walk it off but is easily brought in line by you and Lilia. Silver's mostly an easy patient. Sleeping is easy for him, and he submits to medicine and any other care needs with no complaint. The struggle is not to let him turn the tables and try to nurse you. He'll insist its no issue at all, he doesn't mind letting you get off your feet, while casually attempting to take over all the meal prep and the cleanup after to boot.
Silver is quick to express his gratitude, and he does enjoy the opportunity for privacy. While not very prone to PDA he finds he enjoys the reassurance of physical touch, especially yours, when he's really feeling low. In the end, though, he can't wait for this to be over

◦You two are the cutest couple in the campus, you even have matching bracelets and when yall hold hands the magnetic love shaped metal will stick to each others bracelets.
◦Sae Byeok rarely gets jealous but she can get jealous if you tend to hang out with your other friends more. She’ll gently tug your clothes and you will immediately understand what’s going on. “Oh sorry I kinda spent too much time with them instead of you :/” “Nah it’s alright make sure to take me out on a date after class alright?” She winked at you and walked to class. God this girl really knows how to fill your heart with butterflies.
◦When you’re sick and unable to attend your classes, she’ll take down notes properly and list down the homeworks given by the professors. Lock and Key | Bakugou K.
Summary: It all started out as a harmless prank - Denki’s idea, to get the two of you to talk. It was no secret that you had feelings for Bakugou Katsuki, at least, not amongst your friends. Denki had meant well, sure, when he’d handcuffed the two of you together, but when the key goes missing... well, let’s just say, it’s gonna be a long 24 hours.
Pairings: Bakugou Katsuki x reader
Warning(s): Swearing, that should be it
Notes: Reminder that my requests are open! Let me know what you’d like to see on my page! Hope you enjoy this cute little fic for Bakugou :) I just wanted to write something soft and lighthearted, and cute, so this is that.

You were going to kill Denki. That is, if Bakugou didn’t get to him first.
“Calm down, Bakubro! Murdering one of our classmates would not be very manly of you!”
And if it wasn’t for Kirishima, holding Bakugou back with all of his strength and giving you a sympathetic look as you were dragged along, Denki would’ve been toast. Literally.
“Look, man, I’m sorry!” Denki was saying, hiding behind Mina and Sero, “It’s just a prank, dude, a joke! Don’t kill me!”
“I’m gonna end you, spark plug!” Bakugou growled, “Get over here and get this shit off of me!”
Sero, barely holding back his laughter, said, “Aw, come on, Bakugou, I wouldn’t call y/n ‘shit’!”
For a moment, Bakugou blinks like he’s stunned, but then his murderous glare returns ten fold. “That’s... That’s not even what I meant, dunce face! I meant the handcuffs! Get. Them. OFF!”
You know, from the look Mina is sending you, that you’re blushing.
“Okay!” Kaminari scrambles out from behind the two, smiling sheepishly as he searches all his pockets, “No worries, man, let me just... let me... get the... key...”
Bakugou finally settles down, and you breathe a sigh of relief as he drops his hand, yours falling with it. You rub at your wrist lightly, eyebrows drawn together. You’d been handcuffed to Bakugou for almost ten minutes now, and your wrist was already sore from being yanked around so much.
“What’s taking so long, dunce face?” Bakugou grumbles.
“Well, you see, uhm... okay, listen, don’t be... don’t be mad, bro, just...” Kaminari laughs, eyes wide in fear, voice dropping so low you could hardly hear him, “I can’t exactly find it.”
You yelp in surprise as Bakugou activates his quirk, feeling the heat against the back of your hand.
“What did you say?!”
Everyone winces as he yells, face almost as red as Kirishima’s hair.
“Careful, dude, don’t burn her!” Kirishima says, hand on Bakugou’s shoulder.
Bakugou shoves him off, but listens to him nonetheless, and the heat subsides.
“It’s okay, Kiri, I’m fine.” You tell him quietly.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry,” Denki says, guiltily.
“Yeah, you’re about to be real sorry.” Bakugou says, “If you don’t get these off in the next five seconds!”
“Look, let’s just calm down for a minute, okay?” You say, stepping between the two. You feel Bakugou’s arm tug back against yours, as you move farther away from him, and your blush deepens. “Sorry. Anyway... why don’t we just see if Momo can make an extra key? Right?"
“That’s a good idea!” Kirishima says, optimistically. “See? Everything’s fine.”
“Yeah, why didn’t I think of that?” Kaminari scratches his head.
“Because you’re an idiot.” Bakugou mutters darkly.
Mina purses her lips, shifting back and forth on the balls of her feet. “Yeah, that would be great... Except Momo is visiting her parents, and won’t be back till later tonight.”
And just like that, Bakugou explodes again. “WHAT?!”
...
After a stressful call with Momo, involving Bakugou taking the phone from Mina not once, but twice, and telling her to ‘get her and her stupid ass ponytail back to UA NOW!’, it’s finally decided that you’ll just have to wait it out. Even Bakugou can’t say he’d rather go to Aizawa, because explaining this meant explaining the handprint shaped burns in Denki’s door.
Of course, Momo promises to help as soon as she’s back, but that’s still hours and hours away.
Bakugou, who still practically had steam coming out of his ears, sat beside you on the couch silently. Across from you, the rest of the group watched in sympathy (and fear). No one dared to break the silence, in fear he’d blow up on them again. You couldn’t say you blamed them.
“Come on.” Bakugou’s sudden command startles you.
“What? Where are we going?” You ask, following his lead and standing up (you were getting dragged along, either way).
He rolls his eyes, sighing, “I don’t know, but I’m not just gonna sit around like an idiot all day.”
He doesn’t wait for your response, marching out of the room. You look over your shoulder on your way out, a silent cry for help, and Denki has the audacity to give you a thumbs up and wink. You glare at him, sending your friends into a laughing fit.
“What are they laughing at?” Bakugou mutters, brow raised.
You flush in embarrassment, shrugging. “Dunno.”
The two of you eventually end up in the kitchen. You knew Bakugou could cook, everyone did because he regularly kicked everyone out of the kitchen so he could, but you’d never actually seen him in action. He was much calmer now that the two of you were alone, but the scowl never left his face.
After a few minutes of awkwardly trailing behind him as he gathered ingredients, you mustered up the courage to ask, “Can I help?”
He doesn’t answer for a moment, and you begin to think he’ll just ignore you, before he’s handing you a spoon. “You stir while I chop vegetables. I don’t trust you with a knife.”
Ignoring the backhanded comment, you take the spoon from him, happy he’s letting you help. You stir with one hand, resting the other on the counter beside him, so he can use both hands to chop the vegetables. It’s not easy, trying to cook while handcuffed to the angry blonde, but the two of you eventually find a rhythm.
“So what are you making?” You ask, turning to look at him. His focus is all on what he’s doing, and he looks so serious you try your best not to giggle. Does Bakugou ever just... relax? Still, the way his lower lip just barely juts out and his brow furrows, when he concentrates hard, is really cute.
“We’re making zosui.”
You’re heart does a little flip as he says ‘we’. He doesn’t mean anything by it, you know that, but you still have to turn away in an attempt to hide your smile. As mad as you were at Denki, you had to admit that being able to actually spend time with Bakugou doing something so... normal, domestic? It was nice. You’d spent an embarrassing amount of time daydreaming about a moment like this (except, in your daydreams, you weren’t handcuffed, and maybe there was kissing involved), but you’d never thought it would actually happen. The only time you got to spend time with him outside of class, normally, was if you asked for help with the homework or agreed to spar. But that was rare, these days. Bakugou normally sparred with Kirishima, anyway, and you always felt like a bother when you asked for help.
Sneaking another look at Bakugou, you find he’s already looking at you. He takes the spoon from you, gently bumping his hip into yours to move you out of the way, and you watch as he adds the veggies to the soup. As he stirs them in, he asks you to hand him the spices he’d set out beforehand.
“What, have you never seen someone cook before?” He asks.
You laugh sheepishly, “I ate a lot of microwave dinners growing up.”
The look he gives you is incredulous, borderline angry, and he scoffs. “You’re kidding. That shits terrible for you!”
You laugh, wrinkling your nose.
He meets your eyes for a moment, lips parted slightly, and you raise a brow at him. Before you can ask, his attentions is back on the soup, and he’s quiet again.
It doesn’t take long for the soup to be done, then, after he adds the rice. And you have to admit, even though you hadn’t helped much, you do feel a sense of accomplishment when you sit down to eat a meal that you made yourself.
The two of you sit down beside each other, forced to scoot your chairs so close that your thighs are almost touching. Surprisingly, he doesn’t complain.
“Thank you,” You say quietly, before digging in. “Wow! This is delicious!”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” He rolls his eyes, but you recognize the slightly smug look on his face. “You helped.”
You giggle, bumping shoulders with him. “Sure, but you’re the chef, here!”
He hid it behind another bite of food, but you could have sworn you saw him smile, too.
The two of you finish your meal in silence, Bakugou waiting with surprising patience for you to finish eating, before putting the bowls in the sink.
“Thanks.”
He gives you a look, “For what?”
For being so nice.
“For teaching me how to cook!”
He shrugs, muttering out ‘whatever’ in reply.
“So... what do you want to do know?” You ask, hoping his tolerance for your company would last.
You end up back in his dorm, awkwardly huddled together at the head of his bed. He was reading, as you mindlessly scrolled through your phone. The silence wasn’t awkward, like you’d thought it would be. It was comfortable, almost calming. You found yourself getting tired, the more you sat there.
Eventually growing bored of your phone, you turned to see what Bakugou was reading, and started reading the pages yourself. You didn’t think he’d noticed, until he slipped his finger behind the next page to turn it, and paused.
“You done?” He said, quiet and soft, his cheeks tinted the slightest pink.
Your eyes widened, blushing, “Uh, yeah. S-Sorry.”
He turned the page without another word, looking at you from the corner of his eye. You tried to ignore him, pretending to read, before he sighed.
And then, Bakugou began to read to you.
“W-What are you doing?”
He stopped, narrowing his eyes. “Reading, dumbass.” He snapped. “You read slower than me, it’s annoying.”
Despite the backhanded remark, you grinned. “Oh. Okay.”
He started again, sounding significantly less irritated, and you tried to slow the beating of your heart. In all the times you’d imagined hanging out with Bakugou, you had never thought of something this sweet. You especially hadn’t anticipated his voice ever being this soft, and calming.
As he read to you, you shifted closer, eventually resting your head on his shoulder. He faltered for a minute, hiding his fumble with a cough, but otherwise didn’t acknowledge it. It wasn’t until he reached the end of the next chapter that he realized you’d fallen asleep.
And he definitely wasn’t blushing, no, not Bakugou.
Hours later, when Momo and all your friends piled into his room, he whispered harshly, “Wake her up, and I’ll kill you!”
Maybe Denki’s plan had worked out, after all.

U. Wakatoshi x Wife! Reader
You can also find me on Wattpad @iwaizumilovesme
Fluff and Slight Angst Parenting One-Shot
~ "2:15", you read the clock out loud and quickly put the laundry basket that was in your hands down. I guess folding laundry has to wait for now, you thought. As you were trying to find your phone, you turned around only to be met with your husband. You would usually greet him, but this time you side-stepped your way around him and continued to try to find your phone. Wakatoshi stood there and chuckled, knowing what you were looking for. "I have it, right here," he waved the phone in his hands and looked at you with a soft expression. Your eyes glistened and you gasped, "Hey! Where did you get that? I thought I put it on the kitchen table?" you mumbled the last part to yourself as you made your way towards your husband. You were about to grab your phone, but Wakatoshi wanted to play around a bit. He held his arm high enough were you couldn't reach him.
You didn't whine as you reached up at him with your tippy-toes, but instead of reaching for the phone, you kissed his lips. You let your feet relax, and but you still craned your neck up towards Wakatoshi, "So can I have my phone now, please?" He chuckled a bit and lowered his hands, "Well, I thought maybe I could pick Hana up from school today." You blinked. He stared at you and waited for your answer, "But why do you have my phone?" It was his turn to blink. "Oh, yeah. Mine is still in the shop being fixed. Sorry." He kissed your forehead, "So I'll go now, okay? Be back in a bit." ~ You and Wakatoshi have been married for twelve years now, but you've known each other for quite a while now. He proposed to you right after your college graduation, and you two were officially married a year later. You two settled down at a young age, and even through the difficult times, you two stuck together like glue.
You gave birth to your amazing daughter, Hana, at twenty-five. At the time, Toshi had been playing in the professional volleyball league for eight years already, and you had a stable job as a teacher at a middle school close to where you lived. You decided to resign to take care of Hana, while Toshi took a year off for you. But after that was when things became a bit difficult.
Although Toshi was around when he wasn't training, it was still difficult to handle baby Hana during the times he was at training. He made a really huge amount of money for the family because he was so talented. You couldn't thank him enough for that, but then you felt he couldn't enjoy time with Hana as much as you'd liked. It was incredibly hard sometimes, but you two always seemed to find a way.
Four years later, he decided that he would retire from being a professional volleyball player. He decided to become a full-time house dad. Don't misunderstand, though. He still maintained a healthy body even if he didn't play for the national team, anymore. Since Wakatoshi had made so much money, you settled on working part-time at a bakery instead of going back to teaching. His talent playing volleyball led him to play for the national team. Meaning he received many sponsorships, as well as attention from the public eye. He modeled for various athletic clothing brands. He was just so successful, however, he decided it was time for family.
Luckily, Hana wasn't old enough quite yet to know that she was "missing" her father for the first few years of her life. In fact, his retirement was perfect timing as she was finally starting to grow a personality of her own. And only a mother and father could help her shape it into something beautiful.
Back to the present, now. You and Toshi are currently thirty five, and your daughter is ten. She's in the fourth grade, and she looks exactly like her father. She has his eyes, along with his stoic resting face and his hair. However, her personality matched yours. She was gentle, and actually very open to talking to people. Unlike Wakatoshi, she loved talking. She also happened to hate being alone because she-
"Hey, mom". Your thoughts were interrupted by Hana, and her back- hug. You almost spilled the whole salt shaker into the soup you were making. "Hey, girlie. How was school?" You turned around and saw her drop her backpack under her seat by the kitchen table, "It was fine..." She avoided your gaze as she answered. Wakatoshi was standing by the entrance of the kitchen and you communicated with him through your eyes. What's wrong? You said silently. He only shrugged an, I don't know, in response. This was weird because normally Hana would be so excited after knowing her dad picked her up from school. You turned the stove off and sat down in front of Hana. "What's wrong?" Your husband took a seat beside you and held your hand, "We're here for you, Hana." You squeezed his hand as Hana sighed.
"Spring time is coming up soon and it means that school sports day is coming up. The school said there are gonna be basketball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and soccer teams for boys and girls. We have to choose one sport, and then there will be a mini-tournament."
You piped up at the fact there's volleyball, "That's great, honey! There's volleyball? You love playing volleyball, don't you?" She sighed again, "Yeah...but none of our teachers want to coach us. They said they're just supervising...And everyone else but the girls volleyball team and soccer team have coaches, meaning we're forced to choose another sport..."
You whipped your head toward Wakatoshi and gave him a look. He sighed, "Hana, it'll be okay. Try not to worry too much, okay? Why don't you go start your homework while mom finishes making dinner. We can talk more about it through dinner." She nodded, grabbing her backpack, and making her way upstairs toward her bedroom.
You and Wakatoshi silently waited until you heard her door click, signalling she was inside. You cocked your head to the side and furrowed your brows trying to process the situation, "What was that? Toshi, why didn't you offer to be the coach? Isn't that what you do? You played volleyball, so you can coach, can't you?" He shook his head, "Well, she didn't ask me. And yes, I played volleyball. I don't do that anymore, (Y/N)." You ran your fingers through your hair, "Toshi, they're children...! Just a bunch of kids who want to play for fun! Did you see the look on her face? She just wants to play and have a good time. I'm sure the other kids want to experience that, too." He stood up and began to heat up rice for dinner, "And that's exactly it, (Y/N). They're just kids," he turned to you, and although his face remained stoic, you saw there was a softness in his expression that made your heart melt. "I'd love to coach for them, but what if I'm too hard on the kids? I don't want to hurt Hana. I love her to death, (Y/N), and you should be the first to know that. What if I get back into that serious volleyball mode like in high school and college and in the national league? I can't allow that to happen, (Y/N)."
You stood and wrapped your arms around his neck, "Toshi," you whispered into his ear, "it'll be okay. I know you won't do that. We can do this together." You stared up at him, "I'll be there with you. I may not know how coach, but I can assist with whatever you need. Think about it, Toshi. You can coach and I'll help collect balls, help with drills, and I'll even make some snacks for the girls. And when you get a little out of hand, I'll be there to calm you down." You smiled at him sweetly and he chuckled, "You mean like in high school?" You nodded, "Yes. Like in high school." You laughed as you recalled memories of you being the manager of Shiratorizawa through out all your high school years. After a moment of silence, he stared at you. "I love you, (Y/N)." And he leaned in and kissed you passionately. "I love you too, Toshi."
"Okay, I'll do it." ~ When you ended up telling Hana, she squealed like she had just received a long-awaited birthday present. She was so excited, and when the time came to begin training the girls to play volleyball, they too, became excited. It was no surprise that Hana's team ended up winning against other girls teams and boys teams. Hana's group received cute little volleyball medals, and after Hana received hers, she ran up to Wakatoshi and hugged him. "Thank you, dad," she then hugged you, "Thank you, mom,". Toshi let out a genuine laugh, "No need to thank us, Hana. If it makes you happy, we'll do anything for you," he grabbed your hand and squeezed it, "together."
~ Hey, y'all. I hope you enjoyed this one. I know it's a bit cheesy. Also the ending sounded way better in my head. Anyway, please let me know if you have any ideas, requests or anything. Love you lots~!

flutter and kicks
notes: from lay's @/__ryubeom tweet + a pregnant solhwi anon ask. in headcanon form since it's more spontaneous!
hello tumblr fam! i know, it’s been long... but ficfest and all has kept me kinda busy. a little different this time! a headcanon after a long time, since it’s more fun and easy on the eyes!
extra notes: drumstick reference to hospital playlist episode 4! a little reference to @scripturiends twitter au “dynasty” at the end. have fun! as usual, grammar mistakes by me!
attorney sol and prosecutor joon hwi have been married for a couple years, now well into their early thirties.
sol and joon hwi always take walks in the parks and wondered what it would be like if they had their own.
sol was initially hesitant, with her experience of broken families and having no dad figure. what makes her think her child could grow up in a loving family, if she didn't have one she could be a role model or look up to?
but joon hwi had it worse, having been an orphan from young, and raised by his uncle, his cousins, aunts and relatives ostracising him. yet, he still believed in the happy family he always wanted with sol.
he dreamt of kissing his kids good morning, sending them to school before going to work and sending his wife to work. on nights, they would work on their kid's homework together in fun ways and tuck them in bed after bedtime stories. they would spend the weekends at parks, meeting with seungjae's kid, and the children of their friends.
sol came round eventually, seeing how joon hwi never stopped believing. this time, it was different. joon hwi is not her father, nor is he her step father. he is han joon hwi, the man that saved her lives multiple times. han joon hwi, the man that stood by her when lee man ho was her biggest threat to her family. han joon hwi, the man who loves her, despite being a klutz in school.
he is han joon hwi, the man that loves her for every imperfection and perfection she has.
sol and joon hwi start trying for a baby, which is especially timely when kang sol's mom asks when is she gonna have a grandchild to hold and byeol pipes up saying she would love to have a brother as opposed to sister. (15 years with sisters have made her wonder what it would be to have a little baby boy in the house instead.)
a few weeks after their first time trying passes and sol has been feeling more tired. she's been busy with case after case at kang and park, so she doesn't think much.
only when she misses her period, she freezes. as stressed as she was, even in law school, she has never missed her period or was late. with shaky breaths, she wonders at the slightest chance of having a little life grow in her, as her hand unconsciously travels to her stomach.
sol is excited, but nervous at the thought that maybe nine to ten months later, she would have a child she can call her own in her arms.
over the weekend, sol raised this to joon hwi. joon hwi stops everything and even though he is beyond excited, he stays calm looking at how nervous sol is. together, they go out to get two pregnancy tests, where sol takes it.
the ten minutes of waiting were a complete torture for sol, as she paces back and forth.
"sol, stop pacing. you're going to burn a hole in our floor."
"joon! what- what if it really happens? i'm not ready! how are we ready? you just started your career in the prosecutor office, and i'm buried under cases! i can barely take care of my mom and byeol and myself, what about the child? oh no, what if i'm a bad mom?"
"honey, sit down. look, we'll get through this together okay? no one is ever ready for their first kid. remember seungjae-hyung? he freaked out the day juyeon-noona went into labour and he's a doctor! it's okay, just calm down, alright? do you want warm water?"
when the timer rings, they look at both the tests, showing the double lines indicating a positive test.
sol was pregnant. sol was going to be a mother. joon hwi was going to be a father. their family was starting.
shaking, sol finally let her emotions hit as her tears fall. she was so caught up worrying about herself, life, her work, family; she hadn't had time to process her own feelings on her own. she wanted the feeling of joy of holding her child. she wanted to know what it was like to share a mother's bond with a child.
joon hwi, looking at his wife, only hugged her as she teared up in happiness. his dream of having a family is finally coming. even better, his best friend, his biggest cheerleader, was next to him.
"what are you crying about? you should be happy!"
"j-joon h-hwi ah... we're going to be parents.."
but their journey was far from over. they booked an appointment with juyeon and made juyeon stay quiet about this. seeing the ultrasound and hearing the heartbeats of their unborn child was enough to move sol to another round of sobs and joon hwi held his wife's hand while the tears ran down his face. together, they smiled, knowing that a life was born and growing.
all could have been hidden, but seungjae walked in that moment, asking if his wife wanted to join for lunch. sol and joon hwi were prepared to lie, but having a printed ultrasound scan in their hands, and the fact that they were in juyeon's clinic, a OB-GYN clinic, confirmed suspicions.
"juyeonnie, do you want to go for— joon...hwi?"
"oppa..."
"ah, congratulations sol. congratulations joon hwi." seungjae only smiled looking at the best people he knew become parents. he recognised the pride in joonhwi's eyes, the same eyes he had when juyeon told him they were expecting.
the new parents smiled at their brotherly figure as they wished them a good lunch.
but out from the corner, yeseul spotted joonhwi and sol as she walked into the clinic and she locked eyes with sol. sol slams the door shut and drags joon hwi back and groans, letting a defeated whine.
"sol-ah, what's wrong?"
"yeseul is here! she's probably here for a regular check up, the one she told me about last month!"
and with that, their phones started beeping with countless notifications.
yeseul could put two and two together, especially when it wasn't just sol, but joon hwi in the clinic as well. she texted her boyfriend, bokgi, who spat out his soup when he was eating with yebeom, who sent a string of messages to the group chat.
when sol opens the door again, yeseul only gives a sheepish smile.
"yeseul ah..." sol sighs and joon hwi only smiles, too happy to hide this secret.
"sorry unnie, i can't miss the moment. congrats unnie, oppa! hello, seungjae-oppa, juyeon-unnie!"
"thank you, yeseul. we'll see you next week, as usual?"
behind them, seungjae grumpily argues with his wife.
"why are my ex-classmates seeing you more than i do? i literally work, like, five blocks down at the police station! they live all over seoul!"
"honey, let me see yeseul first, okay? then let's go get lunch. i heard they are serving drumsticks in the canteen today.”
-----
pregnancy wasn't easy for sol. she insisted on working, despite attorney park's orders to take on lesser cases in court. sol couldn't find it in her heart to reject her clients.
yeseul, working closer to sol, would lunch with her to make sure she eats for the sake of her baby. joon hwi did his best to join, despite sol's arguments to not bother and that she can care for herself.
her morning sickness was bad, and she would wake up giddy and nauseous. many times, joon hwi wanted to call jiho to ask him to cover him, but sol would not let him do it. she'll pull herself together and go to work, and promise to take work lightly.
on days she couldn't get out of bed and she was too tired, her mother would come over and cook her nutritious soups, stock their fridge with vitamins and supplements and tonics for sol.
sol's cravings were also odd. she was never one to like sweets, but she found herself craving sugary cakes, cookies and pastries. joon hwi made it a point to stock their cabinets with cookies and buy a cake whenever he could for his wife.
joon hwi was honestly the best husband anyone could ask for. he helped to tidy the house, clean the house while sol was resting. he made soups and tucked sol in bed on her down days.
sol felt bad that she was being cared for and doing nothing in return, but joon hwi would always remind her that she was already doing the most important job, which is to literally grow their kid inside her.
many nights before bed, they would sit together and their hands would rest on her stomach, as they whisper sweet things to their to-be child.
when sol first felt the kick of her child with joon, they smiled so wide, all exhaustion from reports and arguments in their offices were gone. all that mattered was their child responding.
yeseul was beyond excited, as she helped sol with getting furniture and clothes. the study group came together to help them set up a new cot in their small apartment, as the ladies sat while looking at the men, fixing a cot with much difficulty.
aunty yeseul was the first to buy a stuffed bunny for her unborn child, and sol b, even though she was usually cold, offered to babysit in the future.
eventually, attorney park made sol work at home instead of going to the office. she argued that professor kim eunsook was able to teach while pregnant, but attorney park only said "yang jonghoon's orders" and it was enough to shut her up from any complaints.
of course, professor yang. the only person attorney park really is afraid of and listens to.
when they found out that sol was having a boy, joon hwi was lost in thoughts, wondering if he will grow to be like himself. but sol only placed a hand over his and gave a comforting smile.
"remember what you said at the beginning? whatever it is, he will be of the next generation. from him, it will be different."
they then would discuss how they wanted joon hwi's dimples, sol's twinkling eyes and cheekbones and joon hwi's charming smile.
closer to the due date, jiho stepped in to cover for joon hwi as he started to work half days, afraid of leaving his wife at home. sol, now heavily pregnant, really only commuted to the bed from the bathroom and then to the table, where she would spend most of her time reading or doing something relaxing.
yeseul made sol put her on speed dial with sol b, just in case, and so they would be the first to know too.
the morning came when sol woke up to a wet bed and shook joon hwi awake when the contractions kicked in. joon hwi snapped out, grabbed their hospital bag and guided sol to the car where both of them spent the next day in the hospital as sol went through nine hours of labour pains, and another two hours pushing her baby boy.
joon hwi never left once, standing by her side and holding her hand as she pushed her baby out, wiping away the sweat from her face.
when the time came for him to be held in his mother's arms, sol only smiled, knowing that as tough as the past ten months of working, no caffeine and staying up late nights was, it was all worth it for the little life in her arms.
as his son's hand grabbed onto joon hwi's finger, joon hwi made a promise to love this child unconditionally, to guide him in the right direction and bring him up well. sol was right. from him onwards, it will be different.
welcome to the world, seungjun.

Sometimes I wonder if my parents see me as a human or as a pet. It would make a lot of sense. Too much sense actually. They like having me and my siblings around, but almost never want to deal with the "unpleasant stuff" like doctor's appointments, mental health issues, homework, teaching us basic hygiene, etc. And more recently they've been procrastinating on helping me get a job, and learning how to drive. I think they expect me to remind them, but whenever I used to, they'd yell at me that they're "Doing everything by themselves", "No one's helping", "They were getting to it eventually" and all that sh*t. But it's kinda like how they treat the pets, or maybe they treat the pets better because they always get fed dinner. Granted, I have thumbs, and there's cans of soup, but sometimes I'll just forget to eat for a day, and I'll only remember I'm hungry at like 3am, right before I go to sleep.
I just want to be who I am, you know? Go see the world, or make new friends. The ability to leave the house whenever I wanted would be great.
I really hope my parents don't see this, if they did, I'd be yelled at a ton...
