"And? What did you decide on?" Duke asks, fork slipping from his mouth and chewing, focused on Danny.

The boy in question hums. "Oh yeah, I'm totally joining in on the nightlife."

The statement has all of them stopping in their tracks, blatantly staring at the still eating boy.

"This will be my emo arc, daylight vigilante turned dark."

Tim snorts, Jason gives a smirk, nudging the eldest sibling next to him from his frozen state.

"Ooooh," Steph leans forward. "Have you decided? Bat or Bird?"

"New name?" Cass jumps in on the questioning with a small smile, eyes crinkling.

"Will you be joining us tonight then, danyal?" His twin speaks up for the first time during dinner, eyes narrowed and calculating.

"Yes." Is the short reply, with the way damian's lips turn down and displeasure makes itself clear, the intention of giving such a short answer has been met.

"Danny," Bruce gains the attention, leaning forward with his fingers interlocked and brows furrowed with what must be worry.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured into this just because everyone else is—"

"I'm more than sure, B!"

The man sighs. "And I won't be able to stop you?"

"Mhm." He gives a nod.

"Okay," his shoulders sag in defeat. "Do you have everything then—?"

"Yep!"

"Even—"

"B, I'm pretty sure I got everything, you can, if in your opinion I am missing something, give it to me later!"

Danny grins, pushing himself up from the table and rounding around towards the door.

"Besides! My whole get up will be a suprise!! So stay awake folks because I'm gonna blow ya all away."

As he leaves, Steph and Duke make sounds of anticipation, curiosity eating at all of them.

(They dont know whats gonna hit 'em.)

"I'm betting 50 bucks that he's gonna be a bat."

Alfred shakes his head at the newfound excitement.

What an exciting night.

There is still no sight of their newest, despite oracle's teasing, having apparently already been included in the suprise.

"Well well well," a sly, yet teasing voice makes itself into the open. Catwoman, in all her glory, walks up to the group of bats and birds.

"If it isn't the bat, what's with the gloomy face?"

Batman gives her a nod. "Cat."

Her eyes roam the group and she tilts her head. "Everyone seems to be here tonight." She comments.

"We're waiting," the man shares. "Our newest decided to be more secretive about his debut."

Catwoman gives him a smug smirk. "So I have heard," a chuckle. "I've come here to introduce you to someone, truthfully."

"Oh? Who is it?" Nightwing perks up, having finally decided to join in.

"Me."

Some yelp, whip their head around and away from the lady in black, gasps and cooing (particularly from steph) fill the roof and Danny joins them.

He wears black combat boots, they're heavy just from the look, but make no sound as he jumps around. The front of the boots look like cat paws, they're reaching up to his knees.

Then comes the baggy black pants, knees protected by poleyn and his belt acting as a cats tail. The hoodie he is wearing is also black, with fingerless gloves (only the middle finger is covered) and reaching up to his neck.

Instead of a domino mask, he wears a hood with cat ears and a dark face mask. Cass claps, knowing fully well he took inspiration from her own get up.

The whole outfit is detailed with orange spots, some parts brown and others grayish.

"Meet my new mentee, Calico."

Danny, Calico, waves.

The Penguin: Be careful! Having a son has only made him stronger and more unstable!

Bruce: You all should have called for backup.

Catwoman: We should have called child protective services.

How would react Killer Croc, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Scarecrow and Riddler if they facing Death ? And I don't mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or any other fancy way. The Death. Straight, up.💀

The PIBTLW reference put the biggest smile on my face you have no idea. Also, you have no idea how nice it is to get an ask like this. Brownie points to you, my dude.

Killer Croc

Croc fights to the death. He's had to fight for his life since he was born and he isn't going to die now. Not to some weirdo in a black cape. (At least not the other weirdo in the black cape.)

When he realizes that it's Death he fights with everything that he's got only for him to feel the cold steel of his blade. Normally blades have a tougher time cutting through his leather-like skin. He's shocked when the last thing he feels is it cutting him down to the bone.

Penguin

If it was a public fight he'd try to outsmart death. If they're in private he bargains with Death. He tries to say he'll change his ways, he'll bribe death with whatever he can. He doesn't want to die. It's really pathetic truth be told.

It's all for nothing and Penguin would accept it in his last moments.

Scarecrow

Honestly, he'd think it's a hallucination at first. He's used to seeing different forms of death due to his fear toxin so he just thinks it's another variation of it. Normally the phantom blades pass through him and then they dissipate.

Only this blade cuts him, right across his throat.

Then he wakes up in the afterlife and realizes it wasn't in his mind. It was real. He yells as loud as he can about what an outrage this is. How dare Death presume.

After all, he is a god too. A god of fear and gods cannot die.

Catwoman

Catwoman also fights for her life. She probably makes some jokes about having 9 lives but after realizing Death's strength she figures out he's the real deal and not some new crazed villain.

Out of all of the rogues, she's the most likely to actually try talking with Death and I think Death would stop fighting and be straight with her.

"There's nothing I can do, Gato. Now if you'll come with me."

That being said I do think Selina would try running as far as she could but after a certain point, she'd know it's time and would go willingly. Why waste her precious time fighting the inevitable?

Harley Quinn

Harley also thinks it's a hallucination but she can't help but notice how real this one feels. When she realizes there's a real threat she fights him with everything in her arsenal. Mallets, guns, baseball bats the works.

Death isn't having any of it and would end up taking her life quickly.

Once Harley figures out they're the real death she goes into a kinda fangirl mode. After all, she's a huge fan of his work. She'd try to befriend death in the afterlife. Like an annoying puppy that won't stop following Death around.

After about a week death would probably have half a mind to bring her back to life just to get her to stop.

Riddler

He doesn't lose. He can't lose, even to death. He won't allow it. Eddie will go down kicking and screaming. He can try fighting off death as much as he'd like. He'd research Lazarus Pits, and life equations but Death would catch him before he'd see any of those plans come to fruition.

He would never beg but he would have the ego to think he could outsmart and trick death. He is very surprised when Death doesn't fall for any of his flatteries or deceptions.

When he dies he's worried not that he'll go to hell, but that he'll have to see his family again.

Catwoman Beanie Build

My current cosplay project is Catwoman from the most recent live action Batman and right now I'm working on her lil cowl/beanie! I'm using this tutorial by @/StephanieTashi over on youtube! I haven't crocheted in a mighty long time and might as well be a brand new beginner at this point. That being said, I'm finding her tutorial to be pretty straightforward!

Admittedly I did end up scrapping what I have pictured because I stopped counting and was going off of vibes only OTL This resulted in that final row easily being 10 stitches shorter than it needed to be. That plus the fact I was pulling things way too tight made restarting the whole project the most reasonable option.

This time I'm taking care to make sure my stitches aren't too tight and actually counting for each row. When I get a little further along with this attempt I'll update this post~
