DC X DP PROMPT #11

Under some erroneous conditions, Vlad has become a contractor for the Justice League. It would be fine if Vlad Masters was the JL contact, but no, Plasmius has landed the gig. Somehow the vampire supervillain look didn't throw them off (he swears he never had to overshadow anyone, either)

This is not the main issue as of, though. The main issue is Danny. Not that Danny is ever really an issue, it's more of what happeneds to Danny that's a problem. Well - Dannys.

The three of them were out, minding their own business when some stray defecto GiW agents came out of nowhere. This was no longer supposed to be an issue. With Vlad having connections to the JL the GiW had been officially disbanded and their actions made illegal. This obviously did not stop some of the organization's former members.

Anyway, the Dannys were out bonding, typical sibling activities (no Dan, arson does not count. Yes, we can brawl though) when some rogue GiW agents fresh out of government-backed work caught them in the unawares. This would normally be a nonissue but these particular agents had managed to get their hands on some thought to be destroyed Fenton prototypes.

These agents had managed to capture the trio. Now, they had only held the Danny's for less than a day, but give an inch take a mile. Jack and Maddie had busted into the hodgepodge setup, guns blazing, Vlad not far behind. The damage was already done though. Jordan and Danielle were mostly just banged up, a little worse for wear, but no one was melting. It was Danny that was having issues.

Danny seemed to be the major target of the former agents ire. They had managed to get to his core. This damage wasn't irreversible, from what Frostbite had told them, but it was detrimental to the young ghost. He was still developing, this was simply not good for the Great One's health!

Through careful consideration, it was decided that in order to heal from this, Danny would be better off retreating into his core for this. He had already started the process of doing so in the short time they had been in the Far Frozen. Normally, when one of the Dannys would retreat into their core they would be placed under careful watch by the family, but with Danny's core being damaged the call was made that he would need to be carried.

Nearly everyone had volunteered to do such, all were turned down for various reasons. Jordan and Danielle were still injured (and Dani still had a perpetuity to melt at times). Jack and Maddie were denied on the fact that having a leaking source of ectoplasm would be a detrament to their own health, regardless of how liminal they were from years of constant exposure. In the end, the job fell on Vlad. No one was really thrilled with this (besides the man himself) but Frostbite insisted he would be the best fit for the situation. His human side would nourish Danny's and his ghost half would supply him with ample Ecto for proper healing.

Vlad was ecstatic, especially to tell the League that he would be taking maternity leave.

DCXDP Idea

So I've seen quite a few fanfics where Jack and Maddie Fenton basically qualified as mad scientists and a thought came to me. If they count as mad scientists, and they basically have Jazz and Danny doing/working for them. Does that mean that Jazz and Danny can apply for benefits from the Goonion union?

Just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong.

Desperate Pleas

This idea is, of course, based on Jack and Maddie finding out Danny is Phantom and not taking it well. They are so distraught though, and can't make the ghost talk and tell them where their baby is. He has his face. They can't bear to do anything to the ghost, so they turn to the GIW. They had partnered with them before, and they helped equip them with all their weapons, so it was only logical they hand over the...specimen.

Of course, the GIW experiments on him and gives a token try at making him admit to doing something to Daniel Fenton. Ellie finds out about Danny being captured and is planning to free him along with Jazz, Sam, and Tucker. Danny didn't know that all of them had prepared for a reveal gone wrong and made go bags.

But with not only Jack and Maddie being against him but also with Jazz, Tucker, and Sam being under suspicion of working with Phantom, it's up to Ellie to get things done. It's her turn to look out for her bro. So they enact their most desperate plan.

Plan W.

The rescue happens with thankfully nobody else getting captured but also with roaring success on all fronts. Tucker was able to scramble and destroy the GIW and the Fenton's data from the comfort of his home and his parents thinking he was playing Doom. Sam was able to help break into the base with Bubbe Ida being an alibi. Jazz was able to get the conjoined go-bags out by the town's welcome sign with the excuse of going on a college touring trip with her friends. (It was true it's just that she left the house earlier than planned and had waited on seeing Danny safe before leaving.)

They all needed to have alibis because of being under suspicion, and the only one who didn't was Ellie. They had to pretend to buy the excuse that Danny was visiting his Uncle Vlad that the Fenton's gave them (Jazz had already decided she would be changing her name when she left for college. They weren't her parents anymore. She already came up with telling them the wrong college from whichever she picked.) Thankfully or not, Vlad had no idea about Danny but Maddie had asked him to cover with Jazz if she called, she told Vlad they were working on a surprise with Danny and didn't want Jazz to find out. Of course, he had been delighted to comply. (Anything for his Maddie.)

Everything had gone off without a hitch...except.

Danny was very injured (Ellie couldn't make herself look at the y-incision besides when she patched him up as best she could.) but they expected that. What they hadn't expected was him to be so freaking tiny!! Seriously! He was a shrimp more than usual. Ellie made the very educated guess that he somehow got de-aged. That plus the green sticky note that had been waiting for her next to an unconscious Danny that told her he was about four years old now and basically eluded that their plan was going to work. The bonus, though, was that apparently the age change happened because of Clockwork and that Danny should be healed by the time they got to their destination. Something about time magic but Ellie wouldn't pay that any mind as long as it helped Danny.

Though she didn't really understand how him being 4 helped anything.

Anyway, besides that small hitch, the plan was going smoothly. They just had to meet Jazz at the sign and go from there. The flight was relatively short.

"Ellie? I wasn't expecting you for a while. Did everything go okay? Where's Danny?" Jazz, of course, was worried when she didn't immediately see her 16 year old brother.

"Sooooo...funny thing. I know we were prepared for him to be...affected by his time in the GIW labs. But uh...I don't think we planned on this affected. But don't worry! Clocky basically said this was needed, so...meet tiny Danny!" Ellie held out the very unconscious toddler so Jazz could see him from under the blanket Ellie had stolen to hide said toddler.

Jazz had been frozen in shock for a good minute before she slowly held her arms out for the toddler. Ellie easily gave her the dead weight and simply floated there awkwardly. "Oh baby brother..." Jazz croaked out as her eyes filled with tears.

"He's going to be okay." Maybe Ellie was trying to convince both of them of that.

Jazz just stood there and gently stroked Danny's hair despite it being sweaty and kinda gross. She did that for a while before an alarm went off, which Ellie guessed was for Jazz to keep track of the plan. So with a soft kiss to Danny's forehead and a small hug she handed him back to her little sister. She wiped her tears and handed over two large duffle bags. One for Ellie and one for Danny.

"I know I don't have to ask, but please...please make sure you two are safe. I don't know what I'd do...." Jazz shook her head. "Just let us know when you reach Gotham...and...and let us know if Plan W works. If it doesn't...we'll figure something out. "

Ellie choked back her own tears and nodded, not trusting her voice. She handed danny bag to Jazz briefly so she could cross the duffle bags on either side of her and took Danny back before Jazz decided to keep him and do who knew what. "I'll be in touch. I promise."

With that, Ellie took off. She couldn't open portals, and she couldn't exactly ask for help in the Zone since, by now, the portals to it should be destroyed. Yeah, even Vald's. All part of good ol' Plan W.

So she flew and flew as fast as she could with as few stops as she could allow before she reached her destination.

So that's how she found herself in front of the whole Wayne family who were all at the Manor conveniently for family dinner, with a laptop open to the PowerPoint that Team Phantom made together about why Bruce Wayne should adopt both Ellie and Danny. Well mainly Danny but like hell was Ellie going to leave him alone.

She had found out that Bruce Wayne was Batman and only told Team Phantom because it could be useful to their Save Danny's Behind Plans. Turns out it was useful.

Hopefully, Mr. Wayne agreed. The PowerPoint was pretty solid, so Ellie had faith. But she would definitely love some feedback from the gobsmacked family, please.

I was rereading a Dead Marvel x Danny Phantom crossover ( last updated in 2014, RIP ) called Marvel Phantom by Slayer Anderson, and here is the Summary.

So...the Fentons punch a hole through to the afterlife in their basement, and develop unparalleled hover technology and...they're crackpots?

In that fic, that gets played seriously because they showed their tech and a brief glimpse of the Ghost Zone to the News for an interview on their studies and everyone on the planet, from Companies to the Military, wants their tech.

Like they made a physic cancelers shd gravity inverters for their hover machines to study ghosts, not knowing that what they did went beyond groundbreaking and make every technology look like it came from the stone age.

That they are actually geniuses that do genius things despite being 'kooky.'

And you know what, that author is right. Are there any other stories out there where someone stops and says 'You built a what in your basement that did what?!

Sure, Amity is Amity which deals with weird supernatural shit, so they get a pass on not actually stopping and thinking that, but what's everyone else excuse?

Suddenly imagine everyone knows about FentonTech and what they can do.

Remember the Fenton Crammer that can shrink humans and inanimate objects? And if a ghost gets shrunk, their powers get weaker? That can be very useful to transport stuff that would had taken time and money.

Or how they have a what's basically a futuristic tank for a RV that has a lot of space?

Or that they have an Emergency Ops Center on their home that can turn into a hover vehicle.

All of the anti-ghost weapons.

I can go on and on, but things can get funny/ hairy real fast.

Wayne Ent, Lex Corp, Cadmus, every military will want a generous piece of that Fenton Pie, with the Fentons going, what's the big deal? We only made this for ghosts and shit. Whatever happened because of that was a happy accident.

Also imagine Lex Luthor about to pop a blood vessel, and holding himself back from throttling Jack during a talk .

Lex: 'Let me get this straight. You built a pocket-sized mini nuclear reactor that can power the US for six generations at full capacity and still have the juice to power an extra two, and instead of using that to for the betterment of mankind and showing those aliens ( cough Superman cough ) their place, you use it to power a pastry machine homemade peanut butter FUDGE!?'

Jack: Gourmet peanut butter fudge! :D it even makes pies and cookies. That nice Superhero with that A on his chest sure loved the Apple Pie it made!

Luthor: *collaspes and start to foam at the mouth out of rage, shock and disbelief*

Vlad that was sitting at a corner: *Sniff*. 'Welcome to my world.'

Bro this is HILARIOUS!!!!

This is the type of chaos I LIVE FOR!

I know little to nothing of Alex Luther other than the fact that he is a xenophobe…. And that he got cancer from being a xenophobe. (Ha! that’s how it should be for racists and such(jk cancer is actually really bad and not a joke))

I've heard of liminal jazz, tucker, sam etc, but what about maddie and jack?

What if they develop some ghostly traits?

The horror, the angst of slowly becoming what you fear/hate the most, questioning the line between human and monster, watching your partner and children getting contaminated with the green, wondering if they are still your family before realizing it's happening to yourself as well.

The realization that your own doing may have doomed the whole city and everyone you love with it and then desperatly trying to find a cure only to discover, that in the end, you are just an amateur who has no idea how anything you were researching, everything you thought yourself to be an expert in, actually works because it's so much bigger than you.

For fucks sake there is a whole in reality leaking green in the basement.

There is a government organization out there to hunt you down based on your own claims

Infinite Realms Green Lantern Chapter 1

Danny flew in through the front door. He landed with a small thump as he shifted back into his human half. Phasing through his shoes, Danny walks through the living room and into the kitchen for an after-patrol snack. He sees Jazz sitting at the kitchen table looking through her Phantom scrapbook.

"Danny, how was your patrol?" "Did you catch any ghosts, any of the usual troublemakers?" Jazz asks getting up and pulling Danny into a hug. Danny leans into her embrace.

"Nope," he says popping the p, "just a few ectopuses."

"It's been quiet lately ever since Dan started patrolling with you" Jazz replies back to him.

"Yeah it has been quiet lately," Danny says, "It was funny watching Dan rip apart Skulker's suit the first time he went out patrolling with Me and Valerie," Danny said giggling at the memory of a terrified Skulker dangling between Dan's fingers.

Jazz laughs along with Danny. "I haven't seen Ghost X run back into the Zone so quickly before".

Danny groans out from where his face is pressed into Jazz's shoulder, "Jazz you know that's not his name."

Jazz just smiles and replies, "I know little brother just teasing you".

They separate from their hug, "little Jazz I'm almost as tall as you now," Danny says.

"You will always be my little brother, Danny, even if you're as tall as Jack one day". Jazz replies back smiling. "Although I am going to miss calling you short king".

Danny scoffs good-naturedly with a hand dramatically pressed against his chest and replies with a grin "Well I'm still going to call you Princess Jazzerincess Amazon warrior of Amity Park". They both break out in a small fit of laughter at their inside joke.

Danny walks over and opens the fridge. He eyes the leftover meatloaf from the other night already starting to glow an ecto green and an eye pops open to stare back at him, "nope" Danny says firing off a quick ectoblast at the meatloaf and closing the fridge door.

"Oh, are you hungry Danny how about we order out? What are you in the mood for?" Jazz says from behind him eyeing the fridge cautiously hoping for not another Thanksgiving turkey incident.

"How about Chinese?" Danny offers. Half an hour later with empty containers of Chinese food spread around the living room table, they both are sitting on the couch curled up against each other flipping through Jazz's scrapbook and looking at the newspaper clippings and pictures that Jazz had collected over the years.

"Hey, look at this one" Jazz points out. It's a picture of Danny as Phantom fast asleep all curled up in a box on the floor of his room. "If you fits you sits Catboy Danny" Jazz giggles."

"Jazz I am not a cat!" Danny huffs out, as Jazz is carding a hand through his hair as he leans against her side and his core lets out loud happy purrs despite his objections.

"Are you sure about that, you sound like one now." Jazz replied pulling him closer to her. Danny just rolls his eyes and enjoys the comfort of spending time with his older sister.

Tiredly Danny sighs happily, with Jazz holding him he feels safe, warm, protected, and at home, for Danny home, isn't a place or a house, and it hasn't been Fenton Works for a long time, maybe it never was. For Danny home has always been Jazz for as long as he can remember. It was Jazz who taught him how to read, to tie his shoes, and who made him breakfast, lunch, and supper. She would kiss his bumps and bruises better, she would read to him at night and comfort him when he had nightmares.

It was Jazz who took him to his first day of school and the millions of other things that his parents should have done. Jazz is his home and always will be, and now Jazz is leaving, for Gotham University. Of course, Danny is happy for his older sister. She has to go and live her own life and accomplish her dreams and Danny's half-life has been going great in the past few months.

He finally faced his deepest fear, he finally worked up the courage to tell his parents about Phantom, and his parents accepted him! All of him, his human and ghost half!

And best of all they had accepted Dan and Ellie, welcoming them into the family as if they always had been there. Danny lets out a fanged-toothed yawn Jazz had moved his head onto her lap and he drifted off into deep sleep with Jazz carding her hand through his hair.

Jazz wakes up to her phone vibrating on the arm of the couch she is leaning against, she looks down at her little brother, her baby, her everything, he is practically her son. She was more of his mother than Maddie has ever been. And now she was leaving him here. Here in this house full of anti-ghost weapons and scientific instruments that doubled more as instruments of torture for the poor unfortunate ghost who would be caught in them.

But Danny had finally told Jack and Maddie about his ghostly half-life, and they had taken it as well anyone learning that their son had died, they are trying to be better and are working on changing their views on ghosts and they have, and they no longer view every ghost they encounter as evil and something that has to be destroyed.

There was a lot of apologizing and crying on both sides, more so on Jack and Maddie's end. They had accepted him, all of him. They were finally acting as the parents they always should have been from the beginning. It only took their son half dying for it to happen.

But Jazz was finally sure that she could leave her baby brother here, that he is finally safe here in this house. That she won't wake up to a panicked phone call telling her that something terrible had happened. She can finally put that fear to rest.

Jazz looks at the time it's 9:30 pm, she ruffles Danny's hair and he makes those adorable cute cat noises that she loves.

"Mrrp?" Danny says as he blinks open his sleep-filled eyes at her, He chirps out a groggy "mom? oh, Jazzy." He stretches out like a cat before sitting back up next to her.

"Who's on patrol tonight?" Jazz asked.

"Valerie is on the night shift tonight since Dan is with Mom, Dad, and Ellie down in Spittoon" Danny replied to her as he yawned.

"Good now go upstairs and get a full night's rest little brother." Jazz told him.

"Okay mom,” Danny said half asleep as he made his way upstairs to his bedroom. Jazz just smiled as she started to clean up the empty containers on the table.

Meanwhile, in the Infinite Realms, there's a streak of green light with an emerald green ring in the middle of it heading towards a very familiar portal to the living realm.

YES YES, chapter one is finally done! After starting and deleting the dang thing several times it's done!

The Fentons!

I wanted Jack to feel like a good balance of fat and muscle. Like he’s fit, and can throw weight around like it’s nothing, but he doesn’t really care about his waistline as much as he likes fudge. Like a half step between Mr Incredible and Grandpa Max Tennyson from Ben 10. While Maddie is definitely the more book smart, Jack has more emotional intelligence. He’s the one who tries to see things from the kids’ point of view. He’s also the better cook. When Jack was just a child, his home was haunted, and a particularly traumatic experience led to his obsession with ghosts and the supernatural.

Maddie was already pretty curvy in the original series, but in my version she has more of a tummy. Neither of the Fenton parents strike me as the type to be worried about their waistlines. Maddie has a doctorate in theoretical physics, and is definitely more logical than emotional. Maddie and Jack were childhood friends, and she witnessed some of the experiences Jack had, including THE incident. They’ve been a team ever since. For most of their lives Maddie was the majority breadwinner, and Jack did most of the household work. The Fentons’ definitely didn’t believe in traditional gender roles.

Probably the only thing they love more than their field of study is their family!

Government Experiment AU where the Dan's (Dan/Danny/Dani) are created in a GIW lab to investigate the Ghost Zone after Jack and Maddie create the Ghost Portal. In this AU the GZ is radioactive and slowly kills any humans who venture inside so the GIW decide to create human ghost hybrids in order to further their research and capture additional subjects for their experiments.

I think there’s something to explore in the difference between the Fenton scientists and the GIW.

Namely that the Fentons are scientists. Most of their weapons are for the purposes of capture, and despite viewing ghosts as enemies they are enthusiastic about studying and potentially making use of them. The danger they pose comes mostly from them being totally blind to how their experiments and inventions could be deeply unethical. If Danny gets captured by them he gets vivisected. He may die accidentally, but that won’t be the goal. (The goal is further experimentation of course! <3)

The GIW are a branch of the government focused on defense. They may have some interest experimentation but their ultimate goal is to remove threats. The first thing they did after gaining access to the Fentons’ ghost portal was to attempt to bomb the Ghost Zone. If Danny gets caught by them, he may be studied for a time but eventually he’s either going to be destroyed or used as a weapon to destroy others.

I can't speak for the others he hacked but I can say that Casper High is leaving the post up because of it being kind of funny.

ANOTHER FIC CONCEPT I THOUGHT OF BUT WONT WRITE SO FEEL FREE TO WRITE IT IF YALL WANNA!!!

So like its kinda angsty but you know, what dc x dp fic isnt!?

So Danny is dating Dick Grayson (or any other bat of your choice—I picked Dick cuz this is the least shipped character with Danny and I want to be the change I want to see in the world!)

They are both 25 or something, living in Bludhaven

Danny knows Dick is Nightwing but doesn’t do the hero thing anymore so it doesn’t really bother him (much)

But every Tuesday Danny goes out for the day and comes back looking absolutely crushed.

Dick will ask him whats wrong only for Danny to brush him off.

Dick decides to tail Danny one Tuesday cuz he’s worried

He follows Danny all the way to Gotham and then to Arkham Asylum

Dick manages to get Barbra to hack into the cam system so he can spy on his BF without being caught

Turns out Danny is meeting his parents who are inmates at Arkham and the reason they are there is because they tried to kill Danny (thats what their file says according to Barbra and after doing research the Fenton’s are your classic mad scientists)

In the camera feed Dick can hear how Danny’s parents swear up and down that the man in front of them isn’t their son but rather a monster that took his place.

Danny will tell them about what is happening in his life before eventually he gives up and walks out of the room when they don’t listen to him.

Danny walks out of the building and is face to face with Dick who only looks at him with a sad expression.

Danny tries to brush it off only for dick to hug him and tell him its alright

Danny breaks down and tells Dick about his parents

How they hurt him to the point he nearly died

How he comes back every week in hope that they will finally see that he isn’t some monster but their son who still loves them despite what they did to him

Dick just holds him and listens

When Danny calms down he decides that the best corse of action is to take him to Wayne manor where Alfred the god of making people feel better is and maybe stay for dinner if Danny was up to it

Now an alternative/additional plot divice

Arkham break out

Jack and Maddie whip up ghost hunting equipment from anything and everything they find

They track down Danny just for the chance to PROVE he is a monster that took the place of their baby boy

Danny gets taken

Dick and the Batfam have to save him

And maybe Jazz is there and ready to kick ass for her baby brother!
