considering how many people erase blake's bisexuality to make her a lesbian, it's really not surprising how many "lesbian truthers" yang fans do the same when there's as much "evidence" for her liking men as there is women. ya'll are mspec-phobic, sit with that!

idk i thought the reason ppl identified as bi lesbians or mspec lesbians was due to the fact that they didnt see it as lesbian to date nonbinary people
this is the first anon and sorry for my weird takes im just confused
bc it honestly just feels like instead of bi/pan/omni folks using sapphic/queer/neptunic/etc to describe themselves, they're using something that has at least at *some* point i think meant an exclusive attraction to women/nonbinary ppl/etc. but if not you can correct me ofc
i guess the issue i have is that there are no other terms i know of to describe exclusive liking of women or nb peeps
Honestly here's my thing. The sooner you can accept that labels for sexual identities hold no intrinsic power and are much more like names or clothing or haircuts in that they are ways to express and define yourself then the sooner you will understand why people who have lived outside the cishet binary understanding of sexuality and gender want to play with the intrinsically more flexible nature of being queer. Any and all queer discourse over labels immediately becomes redundant when you understand that 99% of the time the labels will have literally zero affect on how you interact with someone irl. If some people want lesbian to mean exclusively women attracted to women, I get it. But the thing is you're gonna run into lesbians who don't define it that way and there's no way to decide what's the "definitive" take on the word because the end goal of all self-made identities is to label yourself in a way that makes you happy. If it makes you unhappy to identify exclusively as a lesbian, why do it? If it makes you unhappy to identify as bisexual, why do it? If it makes you HAPPY to identify as a bi lesbian and it is literally hurting no one? Why NOT do it? The English language is only trying to get decent approximations of the idea expressed by queerness and these labels were never going to be rigidly defined terms. After all, if we wanted to put all queer people in little clearly defined boxes, we'd just be making CisHet 2. Let yourself live free and realize that fretting over the specifics of how people identify is unneeded stress and jam out with some cool gay people ❤️

hey what label can I use when I'm not attracted to male-aligned people under any circumstance?
I know this likely was not asked in good faith but the simple answer is really: whatever you want.
if the answer you're looking for is lesbian, then you've come to the wrong place. because I am not going to just say "lesbian" if you wanted me to exclude bi-lesbians; who are people of my own community.
yes, you can identify as lesbian. most of the lesbian community experiences exclusive attraction to women or nonbinary individuals. however some people who experience the same attraction prefer the terms trixic, enbian, trixenamoric, or more. some of these labels also prove use as an add on to lesbian, such as "trixic lesbian" or "enbian lesbian," bc they want to specify their attraction to nonbinary people (as not every lesbian experiences such attraction, most lesbians do experience it exclusively to women as there are terms for including nonbinary people, but they are NOT required).
a lot of the time in the mspecles community, these labels are used as replacements for terms like "bi" or "poly" and other mspec identities bc they feel as though terms like those do not describe them. if bi or poly or omni and more do not describe you, then you do not have to use it. if your attraction feels monosexual, then u can say that! nobody is forcing u to use labels you are uncomfortable with. that's the important part.
also I forgot to add that neptunic is a widely accepted term even by the exclusionary lesbian community: it is explicitly defined as the attraction to all genders EXCEPT man aligned individuals, which fits exactly what you said as well!
because your attraction is so broad, you could even use bisexual or polysexual, and polysexual means you are attracted to more than one gender, and bisexual is two or more. there is nothing wrong with the overlap of these labels eith lesbianism. if lesbianism includes a being attracted to women and/or enby people, there's at LEAST two genders there. thus falling under both the bisexual and polysexual umbrellas.
tl;dr identify as whatever you want. labels are useless if the person using them doesn't feel fully comfortable or described by the labels they are using. just be yourself and nobody else should stop you.

hihi! so for some context I’m trying to collect terms that include attraction to women, could I get a list of some terms that fit this description? :3
Tumblr media
Womasexual, or womansexual, is a sexual orientation describing exclusive attraction to women. This includes attraction to binary women and may also include attraction to female-aligned non-binary individuals.
Tumblr media
Femaric is an umbrella term to describe any attraction to women or feminine-aligned individuals, and a standalone term as a non-straight identity. It was made with non-binary individuals in mind but can be used by anyone who experiences non-straight attraction to women. This includes all sapphic women as well as bisexual and pansexual men, as well as any other men who are attracted to women but are not straight.

Azalean / QLM is an orientation where one is queer, in any form, and loves women. They can also love any other genders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liersian / Liersic is a term for anybody who feels gay attraction to women, regardless of one's own gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reilian is a term for anybody who feels straight attraction to women, regardless of one's own gender.

Lesbian is a term that defines queer attraction to women. This attraction is most commonly used as exclusively wlw/nblw attraction, as communities surrounding exclusive wlw/nblw have become the primary part of the lesbian community. However, there is no one perfect definition that encompasses all experiences of lesbianism. This term includes butch, femme, non-binary, anonbinary, cusper, and multigendered individuals.

Taught an mspec lesbian that mspec lesbians existed today
They were already identifying with lesbian, omni, poly, abro, faunic, and neptunic so I just pretty much said "there's a word for what u are" while making them a ballsona character

cerrisexual (-romantic, -queerplatonic, etc.)
an attraction alignment that is neither gay nor straight, but still queer, due to either the being themselves, or the beings theyre attracted to, being non-binary. it does not fit into an attractional binary due to that!
specifially made with abinary people in mind but who am I to stop you from using it as long as you or the people you're attracted to is non-binary. this is not an exclusive attraction either (can be commonly paired with mspec identities or alignment unspecified orientations like masexual or neptunic)
please do not assign this identity to other people without their consent! if a non-binary ( or enby attracted) being feels their attraction is gay or lesbian or straight aligned that is their choice to use those labels! please dont push people into boxes in a community formed because we DIDNT fit in a box!
color meanings:
green: an attraction that is atypical
white: the variety of experiences in the queer community, respect.
yellow: non-binary people of all kinds
orange: multigender inclusion (like abinary + boy)
