notes: guess who's back to writing about twisted wonderland? i always run back to this fandom eventually snfhsjfjd also y'all can bet I'm replacing leona's header with the new card as soon as we have it because god I've been thinking about this man since I saw it and he's taken over all of my braincells. sorry leona's is shorter, i wrote riddle first and then ran out of brain juice

Riddle hates being teased. Or rather, he hates the fact that he's absolutely kinda into it if you have a mischievous side. In his heart he still feels the pressure to follow every rule to utmost perfection but you're like a siren with horrible ideas slowly luring him into chaos.

You'll walk up to him sitting at the table in the Heartslabyul kitchen, wrapping your arms around his shoulders from behind and resting your head on his. "What are you doing there, Riddle~", you start and he lets out a sigh, already anticipating nothing productive from you right now. "I'm writing down every odd number up to 487 because it's a Tuesday and the rules of the Queen of Hearts say that at 6pm the dorm leader- y/n what are you doing?", he pouts and blushes when you sit down on his lap, hugging him close.

"Affection", you explain and press a kiss to his cheek. "I can see that, but I have to write down the numbers", he sighs again but gives in when you press your lips to his, kissing him gently but passionately. He eventually pushes you away gently. "I really need to finish this, y/n", he says and you get up, walking towards the doorframe.

"Aw, what a shame", you sigh dramatically, "and here I thought we could cuddle and I could spoil you a bit with some kisses....oh well, another time then."

With that you exit the kitchen and lay down on the bed in Riddle's room, picking up a book in the meantime. You glance at the clock. I'll give him 20 minutes at maximum, you think to yourself and chuckle.

And within those 20 minutes he's back in the room, making his way towards you. "Not. a. word", he just gives you an empty warning and lays down next to you, snuggling up to you and resting his head on your shoulder. You don't look up from your book but wrap an arm around him and start playing with his hair. He rolls his eyes at the shit-eating grin on your face.

"Did you finish writing your numbers, love? ~ ☆"

"Yes", he mumbles quietly and buries his face in your neck. You let out a laugh. "You've always been a horrible liar."

You put your book aside and lift his chin up to press a kiss to his lips. And then another. And Riddle melts into your embrace in frustration, indulging your whims and kissing you back lovingly. "You're gonna be the death of me", he whispers quietly, still blushing. His lips brush against yours while he speaks because of how close he is. "I love you too", you wink at him and kiss him again.

When you go to the kitchen later to pick up some food, Cater sits there with Riddles sheet of paper and the numbers. "Hey! I don't know about you, but the last time I checked 487 was not the number that came after 93!", he comments with his usual laid-back demeanor. Riddle pulls the paper out of Cater's hands and blushes furiously. He turns around only to be met with a smirk from you as you raise an eyebrow. "You only made it to 93?" "Shut up."

On Thursdays according to the rules of the Queen of Hearts, the Heartslabyul students aren't allowed to eat dark foods. What a perfect day for you to make a chocolate cake for Riddle. Trey and Cater absolutely have a blast with the fact that you can play your boyfriend like a fiddle and Trey gladly helps you with the cake. He's pretty happy that you've been the reason Riddle has becoming more and more lax with the rules.

"Y/n, have you forgotten again? We don't eat dark foods on Thursdays", Riddle looks at you with a disappointed expression. "Aw but I made this specifically for you and it turned out great honestly", you look to the floor with an obviously false sad expression, "guess I'll have to eat all of it alone."

And then you sit down directly across him and eat that chocolate cake. "Okay fine, give me a slice", Riddle sighs and you can tell he really loves that cake once he started eating it, which brings out a smile from you.

"You're the personified antithesis to everything Heartslabyul stands for", Riddle crosses his arms on the table and buries his head in them. "Personally I think I'm an enrichment for this dorm." "You've brought dishonor to our hedgehogs."

Leona is a tease himself but he absolutely wasn't expecting for you to turn the tables on him on a regular basis.

"Y/n, stop that", he growled at you. "I don't know what you mean~", you smiled at him brightly and poked his ear again with the blade of grass, causing it to flick uncontrollably. You thought it looked adorable.

Leona had decided to take another nap in the Botanical Garden and you felt like keeping him some company. Somehow, "company" had escalated into annoying your boyfriend for your own personal amusement. He had already slept for 11 hours before this, he could stay awake now.

Leona turned around and grabbed your wrist, pulling the grass out of your hand and throwing it as far as he could from that position.

Then he rested his head on your lap, ready to resume his attempts at sleeping. "Oh, would you rather I do this instead?", you smirk and start gently rubbing his ear. You knew how much he loved this. But Leona didn't want to admit that. "I'd rather you just let me sleep, herbivore", he just growled and closed his eyes again.

"Okay", you responded and shrugged, stopping your motions and instead deciding to look through Magicam for a bit. As you had expected, Leona was starting to grow quite agitated. He had his eyes open again, staring at nothing in particular and his tail was flicking back and forth.

"Is something the matter, Leona?", you ask sweetly but he sees right through you. Now one of his ears flicks even without you making it do that. A desperate but subtle sign that Leona wanted you to continue your affections. He simply let out a "tsk" sound in response and glared at a nearby tree in frustration. Why can't this man ever say what he wants?, you sighed and crossed your arms in front of your chest. "You know, you can't expect me to indulge you if you never tell me what you want", you said with a genuine tone. Leona sighed. He knew you were right. "Can you resume with the ear thing?", he mumbled and grabbed your hand to hold in his. After a bit of hesitation he added an even quieter "please", which made your hand wander back to his ear and gently caress the soft fur.

You could feel Leona relaxing and his breathing became very calm. He closed his eyes again and his tail curled around your leg as he left featherlight kisses on the wrist of your other hand. You looked down at him with a smile.

It was still pretty early in your relationship and you knew Leona had trouble opening up to you about his feelings and wanting your affection. He felt a little like that would make him look even more pathetic if you one day just chose to leave him for someone better. He became so used to only being second-best, that his sense of pride; originally used to protect him; has gotten in the way of him making the most of your time together. But as time went on, he'd become more comfortable addressing his wishes and feelings with you and for now you were ready to give him the patience he needed.

Riddle wants to have a reputation to maintain in public. He won’t do any excessive affection gestures but will probably prefer to just hold your hand and such things. At first I think he’d feel a bit bad about it but please accept him the way he is. Once you can manage to work things out he starts to chill down. In private, however, he loooves holding you and viceversa. He is always a bit embarrassed but he will never hesitate to hug you and kiss you etc. I feel like he really enjoys physical affection and it is one of his fav love languages (only in private ofc).

JAMIL VIPER

Jamil also wants to keep his reputation, but I feel like he will give up a bit just because he has a suuuper soft spot for you. Sure, kissing in public and basically be attached to each other’s hips. Even tho he’s a bit embarrassed, he starts not caring that much time after time. He loves holding you and usually has an arm around you. I can see him having physical touch as a love language too.

How Do They Apologize To You When They Make You Upset/Mad Part 2/2 - Riddle Rosehearts

Riddle set out to look for you to apologize, asking everyone if they have seen you anywhere, but he had no luck. Riddle spotted Trey at his dorm, tending to the pink flamingos wearing pink as according to the Queen of Hearts rules. Trey noticed Riddle and greeted him. Riddle then asked if he had spotted you anywhere as he had to discuss something with you. Trey then pointed to the garden maze stating he saw you running inside there. Riddle thanked Trey and entered the maze, taking many left and right turns, hoping to find you. Sounds of crying could be heard as Riddle got closer towards the end of the maze. You were sat on the grass, with your legs covering your face, and your arms wrapped around them. A few hedgehogs had surrounded you, sniffing you with their cute noses.

Riddle softly approached you, and sat down next to you, while picking up one hedgehog, and placing it against his chest: "Y/N?", Riddle called out your name. "GO AWAY!", You yelled at Riddle, refusing to look at him. Riddle was conflicted, wanting to hug you, but hesitated since he wasn't use to acts of affection as he had not experience them in his childhood, but he knew he had to apologize to you since he was in the wrong. "Y/N, I came to apologize to you about my actions. I should never had yelled at you about the exam, and instead offer to help you with studying for your other exams. I made a promise to myself and everyone that I would be less strict with the rules and punishments, and I would try to be better, and not a tyrant like I was before, but apparently I haven't changed at all." You had raise your head from your legs, with tears still running down your face, letting out little sniffles as you turned to look at Riddle. "Th-thats not true. You have changed Riddle. I see how you interact with everyone now after your overblot, and you're less strict and more kinder with punishments and not as tough with the rules as before." Riddle gave you a kind smile, as he reached into his pocket, and pulled out a handkerchief, using it to wipe your tears. "Thank you for your kind words Y/N, but that doesn't excuse what I did to you earlier. Do you forgive me?" You gazed at Riddle, who continued to dry your tears with a kind smile. You turned a little bit more towards Riddle and gave him a serious look; "I will forgive you if you do two things for me." Riddle tilted his head; "And they are?", he asked. "Me and you will have study dates whenever an exam is coming up, if you have time that is, since I know you're busy with your tasks as dorm leader." You said as you watched Riddle listen to your words. "That can be arranged. What is the second condition?", Riddle said as he began to softy pet the hedgehog he was holding. Blushing, you held your arms out towards Riddle; "Gimme a hug." Riddles face turned bright pink, not expecting that response from you. You put your arms down and look to the side, embarrassed; "Y-you don't have to do the second one, I know stuff like that makes you uncom-." You were cut off from your sentence, as Riddles arms wrapped around you, as your head was placed against his chest. "Haha, you don't have to ask for something like that. I would have hugged you either way.", Riddle said as you felt his body move from his laughter. You chuckled as you wrapped your arms against Riddle's back and nuzzled closer to his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Riddle smiled and continued to hug you as the hedgehogs gathered around the both of you, watching the sweet moment happening in front of them

Pairing: Riddle, Leona, & Jamil x GN! Reader (Seperately)

Warning: GN! Reader, you/your pronouns, quick read, slightl crack, probably OOC, no revision bc I will die on my hill

“Hey you, I have something very important to tell you,” You sleepily said to your boyfriend after noticing he was awake. “You’re the fairest in the land. Vil can’t compare to you. That’s all I wanted to say, good night.” 

Riddle 

Riddle.exe broken. His face is as red as his hair, and he tries to speak before looking down at your sleeping self. Did he want to wake you up to figure out what was up with this sudden confession? Yes, but he let you sleep. For a while, he’ll think back to that moment and hide his reddened cheeks while lecturing himself for thinking about that while in the middle of his work.  

When he doubts your confession, he would reluctantly bring it up since he is still getting used to being vulnerable. He would hesitate and debate about bringing it up, he decided not to and try again later. Be patient. Once he brings it up, he was caught off guard at you telling him that you meant what you said. He leans into your touch when you cup his face before giving him a kiss. From then on, he thinks about it whenever he's having a down day. 

Leona 

He quietly chuckled at your sleepy confession before going back to pulling you close and falling asleep. His ego went up and later teased you about it. He also mentioned that he may tell Vil about what you said, he won’t. Maybe. Either way, you look out for an angry wild Vil for a while, in case. He’ll jokingly tell you to tell him how handsome you think he is. 

Part of him thinks that you were lying and would try to hide if you asked what was bothering him. It would either take a bit to get it out of him, if you two are in the open, or he would just tell you, probably when you two are in his room, about his insecurity. Once reassured, he would hold you close and bury his face in your neck while his tail wrapped around one of your limbs.  

Jamil 

He felt his face redden as he screamed internally, not wanting to wake you. He would hardly get any sleep that night as the memory of your sleepy confession floated around. It would be in the back of his head as he went about his day and cause him to space out before catching himself. Then bring it up later to you. 

OR 

He would shake you awake, demanding an explanation behind your sudden confession. When you wake to see your boyfriend’s flushed face as well as his irritated expression before asking you to repeat yourself. When he tells you to not lie to him, it was his turn to be caught off guard when you tackled him and held his face in your hands before telling him that you don’t fuck around when you compliment him.  

He eventually melted in your embrace before cuddling you close, feeling butterflies in his stomach as he accepted the compliment.

❤️ instinctively, he tells you to tone down the affection, since it’s against the rules.  he immediately regrets it though, since he really doesn’t want you to let go of his hand

❤️ he’s a little embarrassed when you show him affection like this, and he’s constantly second-guessing himself (do you act like this with everyone, or just him?), but his heart skips a beat whenever you touch him.  he sweats out of nervousness and believes something must be wrong with him

❤️ after you two get together, riddle is much more relaxed.  he probably won’t initiate any pda, but in private?  he does what he can to return your affections.  he wants you to feel just as loved as he does

── dear, if you think that he would act normal when you decide to kiss him or even show some kind of affection...it aches so much to tell you, but you're wrong. his face would be even more redder than that pretty red hair of his!

── riddle would even tell you how inappropriate it is (if you do it in public), or something like : "you broke a very important rule! to make up for your mistake, you should kiss me one more time!" let's be honest here, he just want you to do it again, but it's to proud and shy to say it out loud.

── he is a little bad at words of affirmation or even compliments, but I swear that our pretty rosehearts is trying. riddle wouldn't know how to find the right words to tell you that you're looking absolutely beautiful ( and would turn in to a red, cute mess trying to say it ).

Riddle Rosehearts, who puts up a front that he doesn't have favorites or that he treats you the same as he treats everyone else, but the truth is he's so much more lenient on you. 

~ he lets you get away with breaking rules with no fanfare, especially if you go out of your way to actually try and follow his rules, he sees no issue with letting you slip a few times

~ he just doesn't have the heart to be mean to you

Riddle Rosehearts, who is a gentlemen that does his best for you, but you likely will have to be the one to initiate most things such as kisses or holding hands because he gets so flustered at the very idea of initiating it himself

~ he just so unused to physical affection and the like that he gets so anxious and uncertain about it

Eating instant ramen at 2am

notes: starting to write on my own whim for a while and this is the first idea I had, idk what this says about me but I have dated before and I can confirm that this is definitely a bonding experience

Riddle is....not amused with this idea. Absolutely not on board with this.

His mum didn't even allow him to eat strawberry tarts, there's no way he ever even got close to instant ramen. He was told fast food and instant food was the devil's invention

He's so sceptical. Literally looks at you like "We shouldn't even be in the kitchen at this time, we should be fucking asleep what are you doing to my poor schedule?!"

The reason he is in this predicament is that you couldn't sleep and had him resting in your lap but at some point became too hungry to even try and fall asleep comfortably so you wanted to get up and grab a snack, unfortunately waking your slumbering boyfriend in the process.

So he decided to accompany you to the kitchen because you could never remember which foods were needed for following the rules of the Queen of Hearts accordingly and which were fine to just snack.

He sat down at the table and his eyes wandered to the fruit plate. But you had other plans, opening the cupboard and pulling out two plastic cups with instant ramen.

"I didn't even plan to eat anything. Also is this your idea of a midnight snack??", Riddle looked at you with a shocked expression. "Not midnight, 2am", you argued, ripping the lid off the cup noodles and turning on the water boiler. "That doesn't make it better, you know", Riddle buried his face in his hands, "actually that only makes it worse."

You chuckled and poured water onto the noodles. Riddle is like "what are you doing why are you making two 🤦🏻‍♀️" and you just grin at him.

He's very conflicted because on one hand he grew up being told he shouldn't eat food like this but it was also a rule not to throw away food. According to your opinion that made it a loophole. Not that you encouraged him to keep sticking to his mother's rules anyway but Riddle had to take small steps.

He eventually begrudgingly eats them and noticed they don't actually taste as badly as he's been told. Still not healthy but he wasn't planning to eat them again anytime soon.

"This would get me into so much trouble at home", he stated. "So would dating me and you still decided to do it", you shrugged. Mrs. Rosehearts had no idea her son had fallen in love. Or overblotted. Or broken several of her rules. "You know that's different", Riddle pouted. "It's not", you argued and gave him fingerguns. He just shook his head in disappointment but kept eating, hoping no one would come into the kitchen who he'd have to explain this to. Then again he was the dorm leader. No one remembered all the rules anyway he could just make up a new one to justify this.... NO. What was he thinking? Lying about the rules was against the rules, why was he even considering making up rules?!

"You're a bad influence", he sighed, still wearing a pouting expression on his face but grabbed your hand across the table and held it in his own. "And yet you love me", you winked at him and he chuckled. "That I do", Riddle affirmed and pressed a kiss to your hand.

"We should add 'You shouldn't have an existential crisis over cup noodles on a Saturday' to the rules", you mused and Riddle just rolled his eyes at you but had to admit that this was exactly the type of thing that the Queen of Hearts would put into her rules.

He enjoyed the instant ramen but he would never admit that over his dead body

Leona eats instant ramen regularly. He's kinda torn because yes, they barely have any vegetables but they also barely have any meat. But they're the fastest warm meal he can easily make, so they'll work well with his unmotivated and depressed mood.

This is a habit he definitely started after coming to NRC because at the palace the food was prepared for him by the staff. He was sceptical too at first because how could you prepare noodles like this in just 5 minutes but his lack of motivation eventually got the better of him and he tried them and found them acceptable.

Leona is very protective of you so sometimes when you remove his arms around you and get up he actually wakes up. "Where are you going herbivore?", he mumbles, half-asleep. When you tell him you're going to make yourself some instant ramen he just asks you to bring some for him too. You just hoped he'd still be awake by the time it was done.

Leona usually has no problem preparing easy things like this for you and bringing you food but nothing gets this man out of bed at 2am that isn't necessarily a catastrophe or you suffering in any way so you'll have to be the one to go to the kitchen this time.

Leona generally sleeps shirtless because Savanaclaw dorm is so warm and also he likes having you snuggle against his chest and feeling your warm skin against his, so you raise your eyebrows at him when he only sits up halfway and eats the noodles with a spoon. "This looks like a disaster waiting to happen." "Only if you're stupid enough to spill the fucking water", he replies with a grumpy tone. You chuckle and affectionately scratch his ears before eating your own cup of ramen.

Even though it's 2am and you're eating instant ramen he asks you "How are you enjoying your meal?", like you're in a 5 star restaurant and gives you a smirk.

If he's done earlier than you he'll stick his spoon into your ramen and eat part of yours as well and you just look at him like "seriously?!"

"First you steal my heart and now you steal my instant noodles, what do I even get out of this relationship?", you tease him and he presses a kiss to your neck and his tail flicks from side to side. "You get my love and affection", he says and wraps his arms around you while letting you finish the rest of your cup.

You're about to get up to throw the empty cups into the trash can under Leona's desk as he holds you back and places them on the nightstand and pulls you back into his arms to snuggle. "Ruggie will clean these up in the morning." "You're so questionable sometimes", you sigh but Leona just chuckles and decides to shut you up with kisses.

His kisses become more and more lazy until he's asleep holding you in his embrace again.

Another one who eats instant noodles regularly. Probably even more often than Leona. If you like eating them, chances are this is already a ritual.

When Idia plays video games or watching streams until late at night, he often eats instant noodles when he needs a snack because it's very quickly prepared.

He keeps the cup noodles in his room and Ortho has a built-in water boiling function so you don't even need to go to a kitchen for this.

At some point you actually convince him to try and cook dinner with you but the only things Idia knows about cooking are from anime cooking ASMR's so he kinda fucks the soup up.

So you decide to just make instant noodles again later.

Idia has favorite instant ramen brands and flavors and sometimes you convince him to go to Sam's shop with you and he goes through the shelves and is like "this one is my favorite" and "oh they brought back the limited edition one"

He's literally excited to eat them

When he plays games or streams as well as when you eat cup noodles he lets you sit on his lap of course. While you wait for the noodles to get ready he places kisses onto your neck and wraps his arms around your waist and affectionately draws circles onto your stomach or thighs with his fingertips. Or lets you bury your face in his oversized shirts

These are usually the moments where you share some of your inside jokes.

Idia loves to stay up with you late and just joke around and share his passions with you. Man's thriving.

Excessively comments on the taste of the noodles like he's a famous food critic and you just watch him amused. "This one doesn't taste like it used to" or "As always this brand brings me a lot of joy when I play games".

He lets you try from his cup too if you've never tried that kind before

Usually finishes his instant noodles before you so he'll be clinging to you and placing kisses onto your neck and shoulders. Sometimes he'll nibble on your skin.

"Idia I'm eating." "This is eating with heightened difficulty level."

Idia is just super affectionate at 2am. He's used to your warmth and affection, he's not letting go of you just for eating, that'd be colder and less comfortable and he'd probably complain until you give him a kiss and let him snuggle up to you again

Also one who doesn't throw away the cups until the next morning. Or Ortho throws them into the trash. One of those two options.

Malleus doesn't even know what instant noodles are.

Baffled. Perplexed. Fascinated. His mind is blown.

Malleus barely even sleeps so when he notices you waking up in his arms he'll press his lips to yours to wake you with a soft kiss.

You two hadn't eaten much for dinner because it was Lilias cooking. You explain to him that you're hungry and feel like eating a cup of instant ramen and he's like

"What is instant ramen?"

Congratulations, you just opened an entirely new can of worms

You tell him it'd be easier to just show him and lead him to the kitchen. Malleus holds your hand all the way and he's curious what you're going to show him.

He watches you silently as you take the cups from the shelves, boil water, pour the boiling water onto the noodles and stir. He's so intrigued. It's like that time he first took a car at Scalding Sands, he's just silent and looks at you with his surprised Malleus face™.

Convinced this is similar to witchcraft and potion-making and you don't have the heart to tell him that it's cheap, questionable industrial production.

He will go on and on about how incredible it is that you can prepare a meal like this and can't wait to try it out

Genuinely loves the cup noodles and comments on how tasty they are

When he learns there are different kinds he definitely wants to try them. Also wants a second cup of noodles right then and there because there wasn't much in his compared to how much Malleus usually eats. And how could you say no to his cute surprised face?

You can't help but chuckle at how confused and fascinated he is by this

He also asks you whether you're enjoying your meal like you're at a 5 star restaurant but unlike Leona he actually says this completely unironically.

He also treasures if you just talk to him about whatever crosses your mind while eating the noodles. He appreciates the casual atmosphere and holds your hand.

Instant noodles actually become one of his favorite foods and Sebek has half a heart attack when he finds out you made instant ramen of all things for the great Prince Malleus of Briar Valley.

Meanwhile Malleus is just pouting when he's told how unhealthy they are. He's an overpowered immortal dragon fae, this isn't gonna hurt him. Sebek doesn't comment on this afterwards. He respects Wakasamas decision.

Lilia is very amused by this. He's pleased that Malleus is discovering something so simple and human for himself.

Malleus wonders whether Lilia would be able to make instant ramen or whether it would just taste like his usual food

He also mails them to his grandma at some point

The only reason you met as children was due to the friendship between your parents, and Riddle couldnt be more grateful

You two would spend valentines day together as children purely because your parents wanted to go out and Riddles mother was the only person they trusted to look after you

Like with the playdates, he’ll write you a letter at minimum once a week, then deliver it on Fridays. In the days leading up to Valentine’s day, he’ll write you one every day, and he’ll make sure they’re more romantic than usual.

He clears his day almost completely, if it were a weekday he’d still attend his classes, but if not the entire day is spent together

It’s almost like an unbirthday party, but on a much smaller scale.

Later in the day, if you’ll allow it, he’d definitely want to spend time with Trey and Che’nya as well.

Valentine’s day is sometimes a blessing to Heartslabyul members, both because of their own love lives, and because Riddle is too focused on you to pay much attention to them.

Sometimes it can also be a curse, specifically when Riddle gets so focused on impressing you that he wants everything to be absolutely perfect, including his fellow dorm members.

The day ends with a little movie night in his room, whatever you choose.

Vil pondered if anyone truly knew him under the magazines and digital screens that processed his figure to his dozens of fans. He had always had to up a cover when exposed to the public eye. He mustn't act unruly or he runs the risk of dragging his reputation, he shouldn't meddle himself in drama or else rumors may arise. And as a model and actor, Vil couldn't risk that. So he hid all his imperfections and flaws and as result concealing away a part of his identity

But everything about you drew him in. While Vil always had a grasp on the reality around, you somehow found a way to pause it. Maybe it was the sweet smile you sent him from afar, eyes locked into his- glittering in nothing but warmth. He never failed to notice how your eyes wrinkle upwards when you send him that toothy grin, a smile he has grown undeniably hopeless for.

For the first time, Vil wasn't afraid of sharing his imperfections with you. It was a rare vulnerable side reserved for your eyes alone. Many would criticize him for breaking out of his perfect character but you never once spoke ill towards his flaws; rather, you pressed feathery kisses against each 'broken' part of him, silky words spilling from your lips with each fleeting peck; the remedy to his troubles

Whilst in public he was always mindful of the wandering, judgeful eyes that were sharp enough to notice anything out of step. But he found himself yearning to be by your side more often than not. It had not even occurred to him that his legs were taking him to your figure the moment his violet eyes caught sight.

He could feel his fingers brush against your own, a feeling that left hot streak sensations to tingle over his skin. Yet he hesitated to grab your hand, the surrounding eyes still gazing at him.

But Vil couldn't stop himself from staring at you. The sun reflecting against your skin only enhanced your beauty, adding emphasis to the smile he had fallen for. And when you looked at him with eyes that were void of any ulterior motive, he could have sworn the world stopped.

" I love you"

The words left you without hesitation, carried by the wind to kiss the tips of Vil's ears.

He felt his breath hitch in the back of his throat. He knew the world was watching him. However, all that became a blur to his violet eyes, his focus remaining fixated on you. He couldn't care less. For the longest time he had to conceal parts of him in sake of his success and he'll gladly continue to do so.

But he refuses to hide the love he holds for you. How you capture his heart with a single flash of a smile or a longing kiss to his cheek, careful to not smear his meticulously done makeup.

He could hear the hushed whispers around him no doubt sending him perplexed looks but he couldn't focus on that. With purple irises never leaving your own, a small smile twitched on his lips; his lingering hand finally intertwining with your vacant one.

" I love you too"

Vil could only hope that his voice carried to all the unspoken words that dwindled in his heart as the world resumed around him.

Riddle wondered how he got so lucky to get a second chance. In the beginning his heart was absent of all love, void of a mother's embrace and quelling words that would soothe a crying child. Instead he was given books and lectures in replacement of that. For him, affection came in fragments that passed in a blink of an eye.

He was met with more negativity than anything, the harsh rumors of his character ringing in his ears whenever he passed the hall. Tyrant. That's what they called him. A tyrant colored in crimson roses with thorns. While Riddle would ignore these passing whispers, there was always a heavy lingering feeling deep within the confusing clutter he calls his heart.

He had been alone for the longest time and he thought that was how it would remain. But very quickly he noticed a shift in his behavior the moment you entered his life.

Like a brush of a new color, his perspective changed. You didn't push him away like the others did- even when he spat harsh and cruel words he later wept about once his rationality had returned. No. You opened your arms wide for him all while dawning a smile he found so enduring.

Riddle had always considered himself to be a knowledgeable individual, he had answers to the most challenging of questions, yet no matter how much he wrecked his brain, he couldn't figure out the effect you placed on him. Such as the way your fingers could curl around the palm of his hand and guide him out of his office whenever work consumed him or how you were always the one to greet him a 'good morning' as the sun peeked through the windows. Your touches felt so gentle and fleeting to him, making him shiver whenever your fingers brush against his forehead as you pushed his fringe aside.

It elicited a feeling to dance against his chest, one he was so unfamiliar with but became desperately addicted to. It would paint his cheeks in red coatings and make his heart race at your simple gestures, only causing him to yearn for more

He found himself stealing glances from afar the room, his mind becoming filled with thoughts of you. He would make up scenarios, looking for any excuse to converse even for a second. For once, the acclaimed crimson tyrant was nearly buckling at his knees just to receive a slice of your affection.

Even when it was just the two of you, you never strayed away from your loving nature. Genuine love reserved for him, not a disguise or ploy to the public eye

" You are enough, Riddle"

Your words came out of nowhere, easily causing the redhead to pause in his tracks. The teacup clutched in fingers became shaky for a brief second. Before he could even comprehend those short little words, Riddle could feel a prick of crystallized tears etching in the corners of his eyes.

Riddle had committed his heart to you and in turn you cradled it with gentle hands, weaving out all his sorrows and insecurities and replacing it with the virtue of love. It became a feeling Riddle never wanted to forget, to let it relive in his mind again and again.

His lips went to trail a kiss to your cheek, sealing a silent promise to become better for you. Even if the world gazes down at him so long as you were there to open your arms to him, that would be enough.

Cater Diamond

Cater had always held up a front. He wore a meticulously crafted mask that he never thought of taking down. Each of his words are carefully picked, each action considered before being put into fruition- or else he may slip and show the vulnerable side he wishes to lock up. Though he has slipped up at times, he was still able to fool others.

Over the years he was able to master the ability to hide his pain. A chuckle to conceal a wince or a quick cheesy one-liner to distract away from the dragged glint in his eyes. And somehow he was able to wear that mischievous grin despite what situation was thrown at him.

His fingers were also crafty with the disguise, creating well refined photos to be shared to the world. Rarely had he slipped up, he remained ever cautious. Even when your relationship blossomed into something far greater than friends, Cater held his walls up.

Fear dwindled in his chest at the mere thought of you figuring out his true person. Would you be disgusted? Treat him the same way his sister had? No, you were better than that and he knew it. But that fear was left untouched in the cage of his chest as much as he tried to find an excuse for it

Despite that, Cater was still captivated by you in every aspect. His attention was always caught by yours the moment his eyes caught sight of your familar silhouette; a smirk would tug on his lips as he trailed over to you.

And when you gaze at him with nothing but a kind smile, guilt would bellow in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to spill out all his flaws and broken parts to you so desperately but the looming weight of opening up held its grip on his shoulders

Oh but he still held onto the moments that filled his heart with warmth deep within his chest- memories that replaced the ones that left him weeping at the dead of night

Homework would be long forgotten on the tabletop as your attentions were focused on each other, coaxing giggles to fall from the others lips. As hard as he tried, Cater was unable to pry his eyes away from you. It became somewhat of a craving, to meorize each little detail you had to share.

Or the days when you lazily rested your head against his shoulder whilst Carter's tongue rambled off his day's interest. Although his mouth spoke of various things, the only coherent image in his brain was your placid expression as you listened never once interrupting

Cater showed his affection in various ways. Sweet nicknames that would coaxed an eyeroll. Or lingering touches to your face, the pad his thumb grazing on that spot for a spilt second longer than the last. Each held refine confidence, unafraid nor bashful of his actions

Yet his eyes would widen whenever your hand would curl around the wrist or palm of his hand, gentle and feathery against the skin. He doesn't fail to notice how your lips twitched upwards or how your head inclined into his touch. The evidence of his surprise became clear as his heart increases in its tempo and rung a melody against his ears

" I open my heart to every part of you, Cater"

A quiver to his lips. A falter to his fingers. Cater felt the guilt submerge itself in the crevice of his heart once again. As much as he attempted to fight against it, you were always quick to soothe his worries; and with each tug he could feel his thick walls eroding away

He wonders if you knew the effect you had on him, how smitten he had become for simple touches and brushes on his skin.

With his palm still resting against the curve of your cheek, he leaned in to capture your lips in a chaste kiss.

" I know."

Whether he admits or not, Cater had surrendered his heart to you, battered and locked away from the torment his sisters forced him to live through. But for the first time he could suddenly feel those chains become loose with each passing sunrise.

Ruggie Bucchi

Ruggie always had his doubts whether he was the best option. For most of his life all he has known was picking scraps from broken meals in order to satisfy his hunger. He takes each bite as a blessing, one bite equivalent to the entire meal

Hyenas were never the wealthiest of the animal kingdom- and Ruggie didn't turn a blind eye to this, often sneaking cafeteria food home with him during holiday visits.

Ruggie only wanted to give you the best the world had to offer while shielding you from the cruelties it brought with it. To never go a day hungry like he has.

And there were days he felt his heart crack at the possibility of you being with someone else. One who can provide you joy with their endless treasures whilst he only had a penny to spare. Despite that, he couldn't bring himself to give you away. You were his strength, the person who cradled his heart with careful arms.

He was never considered to be a selfish person but for once will the universe allow him this? Though he was able to masterfully hide this with a chuckle and a few refined words while his eyes hide away his pain and instead carry a message of mischief.

Each time he walks you to your next class, Ruggie could feel his knuckles brush against yours briefly, igniting a flame in its place as you send a wave of departure already longing for your presence

And while he was poor, he never hesitated to offer a bite of his meal to you whenever you showed even a glimmer of interest in his food; all in exchange for a kiss.

With each silky word or laugh that fell from your lips, he knew he was only falling deeper into his fickle of emotions. You became far more precious than he thought and while he wasn't one to express it boldly to the world, he said it in silent tangents meant for your ears alone.

While pressing lazy kisses to the shell of your ear, Ruggie spills his insecurities and doubts to you, opening his mind like an open book- one in tatters and missing pages.

You were his better half, he would argue. The one he wanted to protect and cherish. In your empty presence he felt missing a part of himself, still hearing your voice and giggles in his ears long after you've said your goodbyes.

" You're the perfect one for me."

For a second Ruggie wondered if it was just his imagination playing games on him- a nasty trick played by his mind just to satisfy his greedy heart. But the expression you gave remains genuine, your lips parting to repeat those words again

As much as he tried to conceal his emotions he couldn't stop the gleaming layer of warmth that pooled in his eyes in the form of little droplets. Ruggie wasn't one to cry often yet you easily held the power to tug at his heartstrings. Simple words of bittersweet affection easily coaxed a reaction of pink blushes and a quivering hand as he attempted to connect it with yours.

He knew you deserved so much better than he could offer, but his heart was racing faster, beating against his chest in timid rhythms and echoing out.

" Tell me one more time, please?"

Selfish, Ruggie was aware. But he pushed the feeling aside, his eyes remaining locked onto yours as though you were the most fascinating thing in the room. He feels as though he had become a fool for allowing himself to drag you into his life where he can't offer anything. But so long as you dawned a smile pure from the world's harsh cruelties sharp as blades then Ruggie will be happy too.

hi anon!! of course you may!! i kind of teased this idea from my "as it was" fic and this is the perfect chance to expand from that. i also think in general his mother would just not approve of him dating.

dating in secret is not that hard considering riddle’s at nrc. his mother can’t keep tabs on him while he’s at school so he enjoys the freedom that comes with dating you.

knowing riddle’s mother though, you know exactly that she would not approve of you. it sounded like she just didn’t approve of her son dating in general. or at least not doing an arranged marriage of some sort.

when riddle does come home, it would definitely have to be a secret. he’s very discreet with texting and calling you, doing it at certain times when his mother isn’t around.

you know the saying. strict parents only create sneaky kids and kids who can lie well. riddle is no different.

his lies about his life at school are smooth. he says he’s answering emails when he’s actually texting you. and when you guys are on the phone, he makes sure to excuse himself from his mother.

Least to say, it was a nice change of pace from the rest of the first years. Not to say he dislikes them, but they can be a bit much sometimes.

He watches you help them out of trouble all the time. He honestly thinks you’re too nice to be friends with them at times.

You also stand up to him when he gets too carried away with his signature spell.

“Off with your head!”

He often gets flustered from you being as gentle and sweet as you are. And the thing is, you don’t even mean to. That’s just how you are. You’re the balance that the 1st year Heartsbyul students need.

He’d definitely have a soft spot for you, and he’d allow you to get away with any slight rules you might break.

I mean, he lets Ace and Deuce get away with a lot, you can’t be much worse.

He tries hard not to get distracted from his duties as house warden, but it’s hard considering the fact that he literally sees you as perfect. You’re the kind of person he wished he could be, he sees the Queen of Hearts in you…

Don’t take it as a bad thing, they see her as a hero lol. But long story short, Riddle would always become flustered seeing you be the person you are, how could he not? And honestly, when he realizes that he's fallen for you, it his him HARD.

Leona

He sees you as a dumb little oblivious herbivore. But you’re cute and you’re his. He thinks that you’re too nice at times, but he’s impressed by you standing up again students twice your size.

You keep Savanaclaw in line, 1, because they find you too nice to me mean to, and 2, they’re terrified of what Leona will do to them if they so as much hurt a singular hair in your head.

He’s always especially soft with you, afraid to harm you in anyway.

Leona’s tough demeanor would instantly fade when it’s just the two of you, and sometimes it might crack a bit in front of the others. He doesn’t exactly mind as he doesn’t care, but he still needs to remind Savanaclaw who their house warden is.

You might catch him dazing off while staring at you, just your image puts him in a calmer mood, that’s one of the main reasons Ruggie constantly asks for your help in waking your dearest Leona.

He'll start to show some forms of PDA. He doesn't get embarrassed about it or anything. Why would he be? And it starts to become the norm to see the two of you cuddled together beneath a tree in the Botanical Gardens.

And to be honest, at first, he absolutely he detested the idea of falling for you. I mean, you’re complete opposites, i mean, think about it. But, after a while, even he couldn’t deny the fact that his heart felt heavy whenever he saw you.

Azul

High key blushing all the time. He tries so hard to hide it too, but it never works.

Azul grew up being bullied from most of his childhood, so when he sees you, a perfect being, at least in his eyes, he can't help but be in awe. As well as a bit disappointing in himself.

Azul’s always been insecure, wanting to be better, or rather the best. But here you are, doing it effortlessly. People just naturally seem to be draw to you, they love to just be near you, let alone talk to you. 

He can't help but become self conscious when he sees you interacting with people he sees as far superior than himself, it makes him question everything. But you being you, manage to pull him out of that mindset, and shower him with all the affection you possibly can, to remind him that you think he's absolutely amazing.

Once again, high key blushing.

He never really pin points the fact that he has a huge crush on you, so it takes some leading from Jade and Floyd until he reaches that outcome.

He loves to have you just hanging around the Monstro Lounge, and it seems so do the customers. I have a feeling that Azul had tried numerous times to try to get you to create a contract with you, just so he’d see you more often.

Floyd and Jade call him out on it. 

Kalim

He's just in pure awe. And he tells you this too. He's constantly complimenting you and staring at you with stars in his eyes.

He's also seen as considerate and kind, in most cases, so its literally the Scarabia's dream come true when the two of you start to become close friends. Not gonna lie, you do keep Jamil's anxiety a bit lower than normal. Sorry Kalim lol

But Kalim sorta knows that he likes you, but he doesn't make it that big of a deal. Its like a childhood puppy love crush. And its adorable to witness. He loves to hang out with you, and he'll surprise you with many gifts. Even after you can't keep taking them, 1. because it all looks so expensive, and 2. You don't think you can fit anymore in Ramshackle.

Kalim just thinks you're trying to be humble.

Jamil has caught Kalim just staring at you in a trance like state with a small smile on his face quite a few times. He wont say anything about it though.

And Kalim finds it funny seeing how some of your closest friends are so chaotic, he enjoys the contrast and finds it funny.

Vil

You're one of the very few people he'll consider to be close to his fairnest. Some what atleast.

Vil’s never been the type to admit to liking someone, anyone. Especially not to himself. He’s lived in this segregated bubble from the rest of the world. As they watched his beauty, and he watched theirs.

So imagine when you, a new student with no magic shows up. And you’re loved by all. Honestly he’s kinda jealous.

But green isn’t a good color on him, so he tries his best to not let it get in the way. You seem nice enough and you couldn’t be a threat to him. Oh boy was he wrong.

Every time he’d see you his face would heat up. And he’d stutter. Not something usual for the great Vil Schoenheit.

He’s not an idiot, but it does take sometime to realize that he’s spilled and had fallen in love. He knows it’s not a bad thing, it’s just that love isn’t something he’s used to.

But he’ll allow himself to have this pleasure. And soon enough, you’ll have a fan club. In which Vil will literally fight Ace and Iida to become the president of.

Iida

Big big blushy boy. As soon as he sees you laughing and smiling with the Ramshackle Quartet, he’s literally broken.

He’s frozen and you notice this, and you go over to ask if he’s okay. His hair immediately turns a bright hot pink, and his face turns pale. And he runs off.

He knew it was a terrible idea to come today.

But he can’t help it but what to see you again, he’s mesmerized.

But also conflicted? and confused? But happy? He’s a complicated case. And he did in fact fight Vil to try to become president of your fan club.

In trivia about you.

Sadly he won second making him the vice. Who would’ve thought that Cater knew your favorite Winter Candle scent? But Iida was still in charge of T-shirt designs.

Nonetheless, he has such a puppy love crush on you, just like Kalim. He’s always stuttering and babbling whenever he’s finally about to hold a conversation with you. For the most part.

He knows he’s in love but will he admit it? Over his flaming dead body. That won’t stop him from whamming to be closer with you and hang out. He finds you amazing. How you’re able to talk to so many people and how you’re so nice. He thinks you’re adorable too.

Honestly, Iida is your #1 fan boy.

Malleus

He’s not one to recognize feelings. Like at all. But whenever he saw you late at night, his palm would get sweaty, his face would heat up and seem red, his heart rate would pick up, he honestly thought he was sick.

He asked Sebek to make sure, he was very confused doing so.

Malleus is always more quite around you than more so, but you didn’t know him well enough to find it off. So you just thought that he was a more shy guy.

Once he starts to come more so out of his shell he becomes extremely clingy. Everyone thinks you’re already dating, and it’s strange to explain it to them because Malleus never accepts or denys anything.

“Child of man, what do you mean we’re not togther?”

“Huh….?”

“We’re together, look. We’re standing right next to each other.”

“Oh. That’s what you think that means!”

Those kind of situations happen quite often. There’s a lot of misunderstandings…But it’s all in good fun. Malleus’ words, not mine lol.

He finds you extremely amusing, he didn’t know humans could be so caring and compassionate. He thinks you’re a tad odd, ngl. But he values you, and thinks all you do is special.
