Luckily, I’m updating more and more so this blog doesn’t die. Okiedoki, time for Kalim headcanons! Kalim was always a character I liked and hated. Like I loved his bubbly personality but at the same time I just knew his over-positive and enthusiastic personality was going to be annoying to some. His personality is also the same when it comes to you and your relationship. That aside, his traits would be over-protective, clingy, possessive, and manipulative. 

To keep it really simple, all these traits revolve around one thing and one thing only, his bubbly personality. He’s easy to befriend as he’s actively there to educate you on his culture and their customs, always there to lend a helping hand and just overall keep the party going. Those puppy dog eyes that you just can’t say no to them. To say the least, he’s very clingy. His S/O is someone who he can get along with, which is almost everyone. Someone he can get behind and support their ideals and morals. Someone ‘good’, it’s a very bland description but it’s one that makes sense. He’s clingy because he loves to be around you! If he sees you around the hallway, expect him to forget everything just to run up and greet you. Sometimes even ditching his previous task just to help you with yours or just spend time. When having lunch, expect to see Kalim offering you a spot at his table or inviting himself to yours. If you happen to fail a subject that Kalim excels in, he’ll happily offer to tutor you! Same with if you both fail a subject, it’s okay because Jamil can tutor both of you! I often describe overly clingy people like gum stuck at the bottom of your shoe but it’s different with Kalim because you want to get rid of the gum. With Kalim, you just can’t bring yourself to turn him down. Bringing us to my next point! 

Manipulative. By no means do I want to infantilize Kalim because he’s 17. He knows what he’s doing. Using his bubbly personality, how could you ever turn him down? He’s a great housewarden! Kind, reliable, jump head-on in front of danger to protect you, etc. You get the picture, which is why Kalim would use his reputation to get you to be with him. It starts off small, inviting you out to dinner, a study session, etc. His puppy dog eyes and his please make it so hard to turn him down you feel like you HAVE to say yes. At first, it’s small and something you can easily get out of when needed. “Sorry, I have a club!” or “Sorry, I promised Grim I would help him study with the gang.” At first yeah, but at some point, Kalim started to fight back. “It’s okay, [Reader]. Maybe next time you won’t be so busy!” and “You’re always busy, I’m sorry to bother you.” It doesn’t sound too harmful, right? It’s not, but he says it in front of people. Rumors spread and murmurs get to you, “Rejecting Kalim again?” and “Poor Kalim, he must have spent all day planning this…”. It’s not just your attention he craves, he craves your attention and praise. He’ll buy you expensive jewelry and trinkets. At first, you accept because a small gift for helping him study isn’t too spontaneous. Then the gifts keep coming and their value keeps multiplying. Rejecting them doesn’t work because then Kalim gets sad. “Oh, you wanted something better? Why didn’t you say so! I’ll find something double, no triple its value! Of course, you’d never want something so basic!” He says it in such a cheerful tone that to everyone it’s just playful Kalim but that doesn’t stop the stares and glares you get from the other dorm members. They call you an ungrateful bitch and how you’re using Kalim. They may even intervene and tell Kalim that you’re just using him, but he’ll defend you to the end. 

“Can you believe it, [Reader]? Someone said you were using me for my gifts but that’s not true!” Quite frankly, in this case, you’d be painted as the villain. He’s very overprotective and possessive of you. After all, you’re his lovely S/O! He loves to spoil you and spend time with you, even if you want to or not. He of course loves you and wants you to have friends so I don’t think he’d isolate you, but he does want them to know you belong to him. What better way than marriage?! Don’t be surprised when Kalim asks for your hand in marriage, of course, it’ll wait till after graduation but regardless! He may enlist the help of Jamil, who has no other choice but to help him. Despite being against it, he goes with it. Thinking you could confide in him, he convinces you to go along. You have no magic and no understanding of how this world works. What if you can’t find a way back home? If that's the case, why not stay with Kalim? Not only do you get his name but untold riches! Way better than your life back home, no? Not to mention, you’re powerless here. Kalim and his family name can grant you protection. I doubt Crowley would let you live here at the dorms past your life here at NRC. Being with Kalim is like a dream come true! You’d be wise to accept. Jamil always did look at things on the more logical side, a solution that benefits both parties. Kalim gets you and you get his protection. You can expect him to stand up for you when things get rough. If anyone chooses to pick on you, he’s right there to defend you. 

On a scale, he’s a 5/10. I don’t think he’d harm you physically or do anything against you, but he’s such a manipulator. His words are soft and lovely. You melt like butter when he tells you how much he loves you, how much you mean to him. It’s true, under his love you’ll be protected and his love is so sugary sweet. Just like sugar, too much is bad for you and overbearing, his love is suffocating. You’ll live a lavish life at the cost of your privacy and your attention. Keep your eyes on him, yeah? 

Jamil Viper 

Alright, let’s get into this man’s life. Jamil. Dear lord, his traits are overprotective, possessive, manipulative, and obsessive. How did I reach that conclusion? Well, let’s dive into Jamil’s life. Honestly, he never interested me as much until we got to book 4, I genuinely believed him for a second with the whole Kalim situation but then I realized, shit. He got me. Jamil is a character to whom I want to introduce a new scale, one that I thought of using for a while but I guess never got to use it. Revealing that at the end! 

Okay so, I want to start off with a trait and then get my point across smoothly. So, starting off strong, Jamil is possessive. His possessiveness stems from his fear of losing you to someone better than him, like Kalim. In book 4 we’re introduced to Kalim’s and Jamil’s relationship. One of a master and a servant, as much as Kalim doesn’t treat Jamil like that, it doesn’t change the fact that that's how it is. Jamil was born into a servant family and Kalim into their masters. He has had to be their food tester, has had to prepare the food to avoid someone poising it, shit he probably has taken a bullet for him at some point. If not now, maybe in the future but that’s the way it is. He’s there to serve, granted he can also live a life of his own, but it’s not really living if he has to hold back to let Kalim live more comfortably. Jamil wants to show his abilities, he wants time in the spotlight that he has to, unfortunately, give up to Kalim. This is why I see him as possessive, his S/O is HIS. Just his, a little indulgence if you will. His little secret. Kalim can have any and everything, just not you. If Kalim ever were to take an interest in you, god forbid, Jamil would be quick to guide Kalim away. 

“No, you don’t want them! Your family is very high up, they won’t settle for [Reader]. It’s better to pick someone better, trust me Kalim.” Maybe even slander you? “[Reader] can’t cook, besides they’re an outsider. Your parents would never approve of someone so useless and mysterious.” He’d even try to get him into an arranged marriage so that he can’t get to you. Yeah, he’s that possessive. Which ties in with his obsession. However, you manage to catch his eye, he’s hooked. He is constantly observing you, gathering what information he can on you, and seeing what you like and dislike. He’s not stalking you as you may think, but the information he gathers on you is scary. If anything, it’s to be a better partner. He knows what you enjoy so you can talk about your hobbies and interests, he knows what meals you like so expect him to make them often. He knows what makes you tick, and how to get under your skin but he also knows what you support and seek in someone. He knows things about you that you’ve never revealed and he claims you’ve said before and just forgot. 

Manipulative. He can and will gaslight you. Try his hardest to make you see his side of the story. He’s not above using his ability to make you listen to him. He rather uses it as a last resort, but if he needs to, it’s there. Unlike Kalim, he will isolate. You start losing friends. He’ll end up taking too much of the time that eventually you start turning down invitations and start spending time with him. You’re slowly losing your friends and actively choosing to seek out Jamil now. That’s what he wants, while yes he played a part in it he managed to shift all blame to you. Yeah, he asked you out at first but now YOU’RE the one seeking him out. Not him. All is according to plan. Aside from isolating you, he’ll do what he can to make you keep your attention on him. Look at him. Speak to him only. Love him and nobody else. Stay with him forever. You start seeking him out and that’s when he knows he’s won. He’s so overprotective, constantly looking after you. He has a tight schedule that you follow, it’s for your benefit he says. Eventually, your life starts to be dictated by him. I want to say that after a while, he trusts you around Kalim. You can assist him in his duties and you can lighten his load. You can help him study, you can run errands, can watch over him, etc. At some point, he’ll let the power dynamic get to him and have you do impossible tasks. His relationship with Kalim is the same as yours, except he's the master and you’re the servant. He does love you, but he sometimes lets it slip. He just enjoys the roles being reversed for a bit. 

What's the scale change I want to make? It’s rope, chain, and saw. The rope is soft, their control over you is minimal and it’s usually held with rope. A knot that isn’t too secure but can come undone. The chain is a little bit stricter, there is a key to remove but it’s usually only given after you’ve made them happy for a while. The saw is that these crazy ass mfs took your leg babes, they sawed that bitch off!! Their control is so strong they clipped your wings, and you’re not leaving. So why is this relevant, well. . .I see Jamil using that as a last resort. We jumped a couple of chapters so let me start at the beginning. If you like Vocaloid, there is this song called ‘purgatory and the canary girl’, and honestly, that's how I see your relationship with Jamil. I feel like you’re a doll, a bird in a cage for his viewing pleasure only. You’re not something that he has to give to Kalim or the Asims. You’re his. His to control, his to enjoy, his to exploit, his to love, etc. This is something he can have. He hates being second. He hates having to give up his well-deserved spotlight because his status says he can’t have it. He hates it, he loathes it but it’s okay. He’s willing to give it all up, as long as he can keep you. So like a caged bird, he’s not letting you see anyone. You’re not interacting with anyone aside from him and the people he lets near. If you escape him, yeah he’d probably be one of the few who are willing to look for permanent solutions to make you stay. So yes, he might cut your leg(s) off to ensure you don’t leave him. 

His scaling aside from the saw is a 9/10. Man is committed to doing anything as long as you gaze at him only. Would he take your eyes? Now I’m getting sidetracked but no because I see him as someone who still wants you to look at him. However, if the cage isn’t enough he’s willing to clip a few wings to get you to depend on and rely on him entirely. He’s dangerous because he’s not above certain limits, he’s fine with keeping you as you are.

TWST CHARACTER HC PT 2: Octavinelle and Scarabia

TW: Eating disorders, assassination attempts, absent parents, general twst boy trauma

Octavinelle:

Azul:

-Mommas boy 100%

-Cannot take good pictures to save his life. Whenever he sends a picture of a new dish to Jade and Floyd its so blurry neither of them can tell what it is

-Also is the kind of guy to ask “has anyone seen my glasses?” when they’re on top of his head

-Same thing with his pen, which is almost always still in his hand

-Has a hard time getting out of his businessman persona, and often just gives up completely and carries it on through every aspect of his life

-He has a hard time showing affection due to this

-Gets nightmares from when he was a kid, and they lead to him making an even stricter diet and studying despite his brain and body literally shutting down. The tweels have to step in before it gets too bad

-Before the bullying started, he genuinely loved his merform because he grew up watching his mother be able to do multiple things at once with her tentacles

-He doesn’t talk to his biological father anymore, and often times talks himself out of contacting him

-He didn’t discover his UM, he developed it after his parents marriage! He looks up to his stepfather a lot, which led to him trying to mimic his own lawyer contracts (is that a thing? it sounds like a thing. lawyers pls confirm)

-Is a huge blanket hog, can and will steal every blanket in the vicinity

-Cant watch horror movies at all, he gets too freaked out

-Will nonstop talk when hes scared

-Has the hardest time walking out of the Octatrio, and often relies on his cane or broom to help him get around

-Also doesnt know how to dress himself, he has to look it up online and match models in the magazines he keeps in his office

-Idk if this is canon or not, i think it was just mentioned, but he doesnt actually need his glasses because his vision is bad. (Just looked it up, it is cannon!) They do, however, protect his eyes from the light hes not used to at the bottom of the ocean

-He has stretch marks, even in his human form. In his merform theyre a lighter purple than his torso!

-Sings when he cooks

-Has more moles all over his body! Theyre like the one on his face, but all over!

-Despite his efforts, he still has somewhat of a baby face (only somewhat!!), he cant figure out how to change it

Jade:

-Gets very upset and sulks when people don’t indulge in his interests

-He also tends to be pushed to the back behind Floyd most of the time, seeing as he’s the introverted twin. He never thought it bothered him until people would recognize his brother before him. They used to be called “Floyd and Jade”, and Floyd was the one who told them to switch the names around to make his brother feel better

-He gets very panicky when he’s on hikes by himself, especially when he goes into the mountains and he looks down. When this happens, he either calls someone or brings them with him

-He chokes a lot. Just, a silly little thought, since drinking underwater is nonexistent, he doesn’t quite understand how to, so it goes down the wrong pipe almost all the time

-Whenhe genuinely laughs, he snorts. His brother makes fun of him for it all the time

-Also the kind to chew on things absentmindedly, which isn’t something anyone would imagine THIS Leech doing, but he does

-He was the one who pierced their ears, and he has a bite on his arm still from when Floyd chomped him the second the needle pierced his ear fin

-He has a lot of scars from Floyd biting him, actually

-Where Floyd bites during fights, Jade kicks (or uses his tail as leverage to throw his twin)

-Always got the smaller half of the room

-Loves clean things, always argues with Floyd when he leaves his stuff all over their room

-No matter how much he threatens though, he will not move into one of the spare rooms of their mermansion

-He has to share with Floyd

-For logistical reasons, yknow?

-Sleeps like a rock, nobody can move or wake him. Sometimes Floyd thinks hes dead with how still he gets

-As much as he enjoys hiking, he finds the hygiene part of it unpleasant. Being from the ocean, hes unused to having sweat, dust, and dirt coat his skin which happens a lot during hikes! He often takes a swim in a nearby lake before going to bed during these trips

-Couldnt figure out how to set up a tent the first time. He decided to leave the tent unopened and sleep on the ground

-Gets the worst back pain out of the three. Azul tries to correct his posture, Floyd is active, but Jade gets too involved in his terrariums and drawing that he doesnt realize how hunched he gets

-He is also, despite trying his best with botanical sketches, is not the best artist. He tries! He puts in a lot of effort to draw his brother and Azul, but he can only seem to draw one species of mushroom, and thats just barely

-Dont let him see that Floyd keeps all of the drawings that he either gives him or just leaves around their room

Floyd:

-He gets genuinely upset when people think of him as being less than Jade and it always caused a little bit of insecurity on his part

-He squeezes people because he read that humans use it as a greeting, and he wanted to try it out. He didnt understand why people get so scared of him over it. He eventually gave up and realized his wrongdoings, but said fuck it and carried on anyways

-He sleeps naked. I will not elaborate.

-He also accidentally flashes people, all the time

-Well, sometimes accidentally

-He will turn into his eel form and swim around any body of water nearby, be it the nearby pond on school grounds, Mostro’s aquarium, or, much to Jamil’s dismay, Scarabia’s fountain

-Gets hurt a lot, is the kind to fight off any kind of healing and complain when everything hurts (ex: the knight/guardian of the woods scene from monty python)

-He finds affection weird when returned, he’s so used to people trying to get out of his grip or panicking when he hugs them that when it get returned he just,,, shuts down

-He has a hard time communicating how he feels, which ends up in him throwing fits so often. Only a handful of people can help him say what he wants to say

-He also cries a lot, which not a lot of people see

-Hes frustrated all the time, about school, work, his brother, Azul, those dumb guppies who call him weird, it all builds up

-Afraid of needles

-I also will not elaborate

-He falls off his bed all. the damn. time. Its all calm and peaceful until one night Jade awakes to a THUNK followed by a loud, pained, lightly muffled, “FUCK”

-Which also happened underwater, except he’s just kinda… floats out of bed (er… shell?)

-Like Azul, he sings AND dances when he cooks! Hes flinging food everywhere and making a mess but hey! Hes having fun!

-Hands down the best cook out of the trio, and the best barista too!

-Enjoys hiking with Jade, even though he ends up annoyed with Jade due to being more athletic than his brother, and therefore faster (he also doesnt like being stopped every five seconds to look at a new plant)

-He grinds his teeth a lot as a nervous habit. Chewing on candy stops it

-Misses the ocean the worst out out of the three, and gets miserable when he thinks about it too much

Tweels:

-As much as they joke, they genuinely think of Azul like their younger brother and are nearly if not as protective of him as they are each other

-Have a hard time sleeping in separate rooms, as they’ve always slept in the same room since before they were hatched

-They were very small eel babies! They shared the same egg, so a lot of their nutrients were split between the two of them. (itty bitty iddle dudes <3)

-They also have a hard time seeing out of their grey eye, which leads to them being somewhat on guard whenever they’re around anyone else besides themselves and Azul

-I feel like they’ve also been almost assassinated before, considering that their parent’s “business” seems very dangerous and, considering they’re the only children, they’re the heirs to said business. This could also be why they try to appear and act as intimidating as possible

-Their stripes in their eel forms glow in the dark. They’re bioluminescent!!!!

-They used to switch around their names so often as children (“Hey Jade come here” “I’m not Jade” ((he most certainly was Jade pretending to be Floyd))) that they forgot which one was which during a certain point of time in their childhood. Their parents were the ones who told them to put their black strands of hair on opposite sides of their faces

-Also given the whole fish mafia thingy, I think they grew up seeing a lot of terrible things, making them desensitized to violence. They get upset when they see how happy and innocent other children seem to be

-They talk with a slight lisp due to their teeth getting in the way. Jade hides it better than Floyd

-They do the thing where they speak at the same time all the time, also a cause of their many fights

-They’re not immune to dumb sibling bets

-They both sleepwalk, which is terrifying to anyone who may come across their path

-When one is sick, the other isnt. Theyre never sick at the same time

-Have many, many secrets that they will take to their grave with them- most of them being dumb things they broke as kids and vowed to never let their parents find out

-Their parents did find out of course, but theyd never rat the other out

Scarabia:

Jamil:

-He definitely has the best sense of humor out of all the cast, zero hesitation will say what’s on his mind or whatever one liner he can think of (Hes also shows some traits of the genie, like in the freedom and wanting to travel so ofc he gets the humor)

-His hair is his pride and joy, and always has been. It’s been the one thing he’s had control of in his life (also prob a canon thing that im too lazy to google)

-Najma cut it once when they were kids, they still argue about it (Even though sometimes, he cuts a small piece of his hair shorter as a weird way to honor her when he gets homesick)

-Even though he doesnt have the best relationship with his parents, his little sister is his pride and joy, even if he’d never tell her. Insanely protective of Najma, and always wants to do little things to make her happy or her life easier

-Just wants to be a good big brother (and parental figure, since his parents were more focused on the Al-Asims than the two of them)

-A Caffeine Fiend, dude lives off iced coffee and energy drinks, it’s a borderline addiction at this point

-He makes good coffee though, which is a plus

-Makes the funniest facial expressions when he thinks nobodys looking like over exaggerated, dramatic, rolling-eyes expressions (again, influence from the genie being himself)

-He shit talks bugs when he finds them, trying to intimidate them (“You gonna hide on the ceiling where I can’t reach? Fuckin’ coward. You’re scared of me and you know it. I’m a powerful magician, you hear me?” *bug drops from ceiling* “*inhuman screech followed by heavy footsteps* NAJMA BUG NOW”)(hes very loud)

-The only bugs he can tolerate are butterflies, and that’s just barely

-He’s mischievous, and will often do little childish things when he thinks nobodys looking (like hiding snacks he wants to eat later, flipping little things upside down to see how long itd take someone to notice, etc etc)

-He cannot live without his hoodie. It’s his safe space. If anyone touches, breathes on, or even LOOKS at it for too long, he will glare at you until you feel your soul being judged

-Still has some of his old hoodies like that, being worn until they were literal threads

-Really into any kind of sports, not just basketball. Volleyball? Hell yeah. Baseball? Sign him up. Tennis? Sure. Shuffleboarding? Odd, but he’s not against it

-Except ice skating. Do not take this man ice skating. For a dancer, his balance on skates is next to none

-Also sneezes like a grown man. Like, scream sneezes

-He takes melatonin to sleep, he gets so worked up from making lists of what he needs to complete that he finds it hard to stay still for long

-talks in his sleep, like, full convos with himself.

-Discovered his UM one day when Najma was making fun of him and wouldn’t stop, so he forced her to shut up. She doesn’t remember, but he still feels guilty about it sometimes

-Aside from hiding in a pot, he would also store things that he wanted in there as a child!

-As we know, he was a troublemaker as a child, which sometimes reflects in the way he plays basketball

Kalim:

-Is actually a lot smarter than he looks. After being trained to run a company his whole life, he knows a few tricks to keep things running smoothly.

-Has to have music playing from his phone at night and some lights on because he has a hard time sleeping, he is very afraid of someone trying to hurt him in his sleep

-Has terrible anxiety, though nobody would ever guess it. After having lived through who knows how many assassination attempts, it starts to take a toll on you.

-At some point, he took to sleeping in his closet as a child because he felt it would be safer

-Doesn’t understand why people get upset when he spends a lot, has a hard time understanding the class differences

-Just starts singing and dancing when he does little tasks. Whether he’s doing his homework, doing his dorm duties, or even in the middle of a conversation

-Cuts his own hair, much to Jamil’s chagrin. He’s not too terrible at it (similar to Jamil, its a way for him to control something for once in his life)

-Feels the stress of having to take over his family’s business every waking moment, and it makes him sick to his stomach

-His hands shake a lot, which not a lot of people see bc of how much he moves and bounces around

-Plans to free Jamil the second he turns 18

-Blames himself for Jamil’s overblot, and beats himself up over the fact that he never noticed anything was wrong

-I feel like, given that the Al-Asim family has a lot of heirs as back-ups (which is pretty fucked if you think abt it too much, esp considering other royals in NRC don’t have the same issue), I think Kalim feels resigned to his fate of being replaced if anything were to happen to him, and he resented his younger siblings for it when he was a child

-Runs into things constantly. He just doesn’t look where he’s going, ever

-Good at playing a lot of different instruments! He also writes some of his own songs in his free time. I feel like he would want to be a musician, seeing as he has the sociable, welcoming personality, but he has to take over the business so that would get in the way

-Treats the magic carpet like it’s his brother. It would also follow him around when he was a baby, pushing servants out of the way and taking over the guardian role instead

-Poor carpet has seen many, many things

-He’s a hopeless romantic, having grown up with the story of Aladdin (I forget what they call it in TWST). He was in a similar position as Jasmine growing up, so he was hoping someone could give him some freedom to do what he wanted

-Kalim and Ruggie are fairly close in the manga, so I like to think that he tries to help out the poor in his home country more often after meeting and getting to know the hyena

-Gets very emotional at movies, no matter the genre

-Also talks during movies, and yells at the screen

-Stress eats like it’s nobody’s business, like, shoveling handfuls of food down his throat while trying to power through some hw

-OKAY SO NOBODY IVE TALKED TO AGREES W ME ON THIS BUT UHH

-I think he’d be a little pudgy. I know hes vv active with dance but most likely if you live that lavish of a lifestyle, you’re gonna be eating a lot of good food. Not good for you necessarily, but good tasting! Also the sultan in Aladdin was chubby, so it would also just be in his genetics! (even if theyre not related… hes based off him!)

-I also enjoy the concept quite a bit

-Methinks its cute (but I do switch between him being lanky and pudgy quite a bit when I draw him)

-He loves tattoos, and would get more once hes older!

-Also loves piercings, and has had to been talked out of getting more on his face many times before (He got a nose ring and eyebrow piercing in secret- the eyebrow one closed up a long time ago, but he sneaks piercings in the nose ring so it doesnt close up when everyone goes to sleep)

-He gets giggly sleepy, like laughing over anything and everything

-He cries when he laughs too, its on instinct

-Discovered his UM when he was stressed and locked himself away for a moment to cry, and then flooded his room on accident

I wish i did more for the Scarabia boys </33 their story and lore was my favorite out of all of it (the other being heartslabyuls!) I ALSO ADORED THE SCALDING SANDS EVENT AND WANT A RERUN SO I CAN GET THE JAMIL CARD I DIDNT GET LAST TIME <<//3333

Greetings! Can I request Leona, Trey, Kalim, Ruggie, and Cater with a boyfriend who's absolutely 100% shameless about his attraction to them?

Of course!! Hope you like it!

Leona doesn't really mind the fact that you don't hold back about how you feel about him at least at school. At home it's not really that different either unless he's being forced to attend a Royal event then he might ask you to tone it down a little bit. Not that he's ashamed of you but mostly he doesn't wanna take anymore attention to himself already then there already is at these events.

The only problem with this boy is that he is not used to it. He's not used to people showing so much affection towards him and wanting to show him off. After all in the Savanna, hyenas are one of the lowest on the social tower. I mean Leona has to pretend not to even know ruggie when they go home. Once he's used to it though, he absolutely loves it even with all the teasing he gets from his grandma.

He loves it as long as it's not around his family, as much as Trey is patient with his family. It's not too long before he gets tired of the teasing from his parents and the multiple questions from his siblings constantly. If it's at school, he doesn't mind it at all unless there are rules about it at Heartslabyul (which there might be considering how many rules there are).

Cater shows you off just as much as you show him off maybe even more with all the social media he shows you off on. He loves getting affection from you. It might be a little different at home, from all the teasing from his sisters and his mom, it's hard for him to handle. So he might just calm down on the affection until you two are in his room privately. He wants you to know that he wants you to keep giving him affection though, no matter what.

Absolutely all the time, no matter where you are or what time it is. Kalim, loves your affection and is very affectionate himself. You two cling to each other almost 24/7, of course unless Jamil steps in. Though he only does that at special events kalim has to go to or if special guests are over. Kalim still does have somewhat of an image to uphold.

Twisted Wonderland Cast as Pokemon Trainers

What if the NRC cast of Twisted Wonderland were pokemon trainers? What pokemon would they have? Well this is my take on it.

Riddle:

You cannot say that he doesn't have a Shaymin as one of his pokemon, maybe not as a battler but as maybe emotional support along with Togetic. I can see maybe Roserade or Florges who take care of the roses in Heartslaybul's garden. Maybe a Tsareena because that pokemon gives off queen vibes and emits elegance and order, possibly they help Riddle with the troublemakers. Riddle is part of the horse-riding club so I can see him having a Rapidash who is a battler and a therapy pokemon for Riddle. Riddle would put a tiny crown on Shaymin for fun as the other pokemon would have a pin related to Riddle's dorm uniform (like a red rose pin).

Trey:

Okay hear me out here, Trey's a baker so my idea is that he has Alcreamie (Match cream with Clover Sweet) and Slurpuff as baking buddies with Alcreamie helping with the baking process and Slurpuff helping Trey pick out the freshest ingredients. Polteageist is in charge of choosing drinks, mostly tea that goes well with Trey's desserts for the dorm but Polteageist has got into a habit of following the rules that go around tea even after the post overblot. Dashcabun I can say is Trey's main battler due to all the energy it has even when it was a Fidough, Dashcabun helped Trey a lot when fighting Riddle's overblot.

Cater:

Cater got me stumped for a bit but I can maybe see Cater having an Emolga who loves attention along with Furfrou who Cater styles their fur and posts it online. I can maybe see Pawmo as Cater's biggest support and almost Cater's emotional support when Cater is having a rough day, since Cater had Pawmo when she was a Pawmi.

Ace:

Let's be honest here, Ace loves to cause trouble and we all wanted to murder him as soon as we met him? I can see him with a Zorua and causing trouble for Riddle & his Tsareena making, Why do I also see a Raboot because due to Cinderace's pokedex entry of: Liking to show off? That's Ace in a nutshell. The only non-trouble making one is a Plusle who tries to stop the others but fails so they just hang around Deuce.

Deuce:

You cannot say that Deuce's first pokemon is a Torchic and I will die on that hill. Maybe Deuce has a Minun that's best friends with Ace's Plusle when their trainers act like they hate each other for a good bit. Hear me out when I say that Deuce had a Riolu, Deuce wants to protect his friends and be a better person so maybe Riolu is like his buddy who cheers him on and grows with him since Riolu may have the same personality as Deuce.

Leona:

Lazy cat with Cat pokemon, i'm joking! Leona would have a Pyroar hands down no matter if it's a male or female (he may have both really) but when it comes to them waking him up, Leona will listen to the female one more than the male one in fear of the female Pyroar scorching him with a fire blast. Same with Luxray but the Luxray will see Leona as a Luxio and baby him so much (I can see it in my head). I can honestly see him with a Snorlax and just napping with them, with Snorlax's size and snoring will tend for people to leave them alone when they're sleeping.

Ruggie:

Ruggie is a bit tricky for me.... He's mischievous so maybe a Nickit who helps steal food along with a Greedent who helps store and steal food. Random thought of Ruggie having a Pachirisu who is just as mischievous as Ruggie but uses it's adorableness to it's advantage to take food and will thundershock anyone who isn't fooled by it's charms.

Jack:

Okay I will die on this hill and say that Jack will have a Lycanroc either Dusk form or Midday form. Jack tends for cactus so I can say he will take care of a Maractus or Cacturne which is like his emotional support pokemon. I can also see Arcanine or Houndoom being a part of the team who seems very tough but are a bunch of softies.

Azul:

Okay this dorm stumps me but maybe Azul would own a Milotic as his first pokemon and raised her since she was a Feebas and Azul saw a bit of him in this pokemon. Okay maybe a Frillish on the team since in one of the pokedex entries say they have a poison that can paralyze a grown person. I can see maybe a Clawitzer as a bodyguard.

Jade:

Okay the man likes mushrooms so you cannot say he does not have a Shiinotic, Foongus, & a Brute Bonnet but since we want to avoid having a Paradox pokemon causing chaos we'll avoid the Brute Bonnet. According to the website his talent is making tea?! So i'm also throwing a shiny Polteageist onto that team, i'm making it shiny since both him and Trey have the same pokemon and I would want to avoid a pokemon confusion.

Floyd:

Look this little (tall) gremlin is so confusing for me to make a team for him! He has mood swings which make him unpredictable..... Gyarados is the most definite on that team. The website says his skill is parkour? Okay i got nothing there! Kingler with vice grip? Yep chaos. Maybe an Arctovish on the team as well? I'm sorry if this makes no sense because this guy over here has such a confusing personality that it makes me confused what pokemon will make sense for him!

Kalim:

Okay Kalim our sunshine baby, I'm throwing on a Copperajah and Phanpy onto there, they're both elephants based pokemon which i kinda find cute and i don't know how to explain it but it fits Kalim! I can see maybe a female Indeedee watching over Kalim almost as a helper for Jamil. I can see a Morpeko that is by Kalim's side who rarely goes into it's Hangry mode.

Jamil:

In the words of someone i know: Jamil will have an Arbok and i will die on that hill. I agree with that and he will have a Seviper since they're both snake pokemon, maybe he also has a Hypno which i'm only suggesting because of his unique magic. Last minute thought of Jamil having a Archeops since it kinda reminds me of a parrot and since there's a parrot that helps Jafar in Aladdin i can somewhat see that work.

Vil:

Okay mr. high and fabulous here will have Fairy & Poison pokemon and that's saying something. I can see Vil having Espeon & Sylveon on his team which are more trained in the beauty department for any pokemon contest. Roselia is kinda a good fit since it has the poison typing and is very elegant, Gardevoir or Alolan Ninetails also works as well.

Epel:

Epel would have a Flapple & Appletun on his team since he works on an Apple farm so it kinda makes sense. I can't unsee this but I can see Epel having an Eevee but it's a partner Eevee which Vil may have his two Eeveelutions train his Eevee.

Rook:

Hehehe.... I already have a good idea of what pokemon would be on his team. You cannot say he doesn't have a Decidueye which helps him hunt down people using Decidueye's signature move: Spirit Shackle. I can also see a Sawsbuck because he's a hunter and a deer works, maybe he uses Sawsbuck as a messenger. My brain randomly went to Monster Hunter series for a weird reason because of the hunting aspect and the Palamutes (which are my favorite monstie besides Rathalos) so I can see a Lycanroc Midday form.

Idia:

Okay i'm salty after what Idia did to our baby Grim so i'm a bit salty..... Idia would mostly have a Rotom because tech and Rotom is like a living computer virus. Gengar may be on the team who also serves as an emotional support pokemon since he doesn't really get out much. Galarian Yamask seems like a good pokemon for Idia who also serves as an emotional support pokemon. Why did my brain blank to Allister for a quick second?! (Allister is the ghost type gym leader in Pokemon Shield)

Ortho:

Okay i have honesty zero clue for a pokemon team for Ortho.... The only pokemon I can think of is a Banette, Phantump, & Pumpkaboo.

Malleus:

Okay you cannot say he has mostly dragon types on his team! He would have Garchomp and Goodra as his main team members. Kommo-o is also a dragon type that can be on his team who acts as the protector for Malleus and the rest of the team. Dragapult is another dragon I can see him having. Baxcalibur I see is like Malleus which they look intimidating but they're both softies. I headcanon that he has a Shiny Sylveon as a therapy buddy but plot twist idea: Malleus got a Shiny Eevee egg from Yuu which he cherished the tiny pokemon since the pokemon was not afraid of him, due to all that love and affection Eevee evolved into a Sylveon.

Lilia:

Okay grandpa (jk), I can say he has a Crobat & Noivern which is his main pokemon and helped Lilia raise Silver and his pokemon. The website says his talent is babysitting?! Well then I can say Lilia has raised his pokemon ever since they were eggs causing a strong bond. I can maybe see Umbreon & Delcatty who make sure Lilia isn't causing chaos.

Silver:

Okay this buddy here kinda stumped me for a bit... His talent is Swordsmanship and he serves as a knight for Malleus... Okay Aegislash hands down since it's basically a sword. Bisharp may go into the mix since it's basically a fighter and kinda gives the knight vibe. Escavalier kinda reminds me of the fencing sport with the horses, whatever it's called...

Sebek:

I take back what I said about Silver stumping me because I have ZERO clue for Sebek... He's a knight as well and according to the website his talent is Martial Arts. I thought about a Pangoro since it's like a fighting type and i- just, i don't know how to explain it. Mienshao is explainable because if the martial art aspect, may occasionally punch Sebek in the gut to knock some sense into him. Okay I just learned that Sebek's name was based on the egyptian crocodile deity, what pokemon looks like a crocodile? Skeledirge, which if you max out the stats using the stat feathers is a very good pokemon (legit carried my team with my Meowscarada that I named Wisteria).

Crowley:

This pain in the butt, I can say he's not responsible nor mature enough to take care of a pokemon, if he did own a pokemon it would be a Corviknight which takes care of Crowley instead.

Trein:

He owns a cat in game and what cat pokemon would fit his cat? In my opinion it would be a Purrloin.

Crewel:

Okay he's based off Cruella De Vil right? So hear me out, Shiny Furfrou which the shiny fits him! I would maybe also say a Oricorio as well who helps with the fashion making.

It's quite obvious that he would have fighting types such as Machamp, Medicham, Paldean Taurus (Combat Breed), & Hariyama.

Sam:

He has his friends from the other side but I can see a Marshadow which is very mischievous, he may also have a Sableye & Dusclops which helps with the shop.

And for our last trainer, Our MC themselves and NRC unpaid therapist. I can see a Litten which represents Grim but replaces the red with blue. Meloetta is an obvious pokemon because in the anime and pokedex, it's song can calm down any aggressive foe and control the feelings of the pokemon who hear the song so headcanon it helps with the Overblots. Absol is a huge help with Yuu as they warn Yuu when an overblown is about to happen since it can sense when disaster is going to happen. Shiny Altaria in my opinion is an amazing shiny and is Yuu's mega evolution and is like a parent figure towards them. Yuu can have a Glaceon who is just a sassy overprotective darling while they also have a Lucario who is the same.

If you want you can choose your own team after all you are your own Yuu.

This is my own headcanon and my own opinion of what pokemon the NRC characters would have, if you disagree then I respect that but this is my opinion so don't be mean. Heck-eroni I now want to draw all of the pokemon for each dorm/ group.

His first board game session, his first group trip with peers, his first taste of carnival food, his first sleepover, his first true friend - so, so many firsts. All a byproduct of one person walking into his life and taking a genuine interest in him.

You were the first houseguest he personally invited over to Diasomnia. Not for a tour, not for business, not on behalf of another - no. You were Malleus' houseguest, there to visit Malleus and spend time with Malleus. The snacks prepared were for you both to share. The lounge seating reserved for your company. His first time hosting for fun.

You were the first person he ever got a present for outside of his family. How quick your birthday had come, and how startled he became to find he cared. You were older. Growing so quick and changing at an alarming pace. He could see it in your features and mannerisms. Malleus knew that humans aged at a much faster rate than fae. Silver sprouted like a beanstalk. Yet you were blossoming like a flower in spring. How long until you'd wither?

Malleus cared. Not out of curiosity, but something deeper. Malleus did not want a servant to pick your gift, not even his closest companions. He desired to adhere to human custom and do the task himself. He did not trust another to pick something meaningful and to your preference.

You were the first to make him laugh. Your humor being like none he had heard before. Others tend to correct themselves in Malleus' presence, or try to cater to 'his' taste. Even those closest to him, often sharing a joke that flies over his head without any explanation. You did no such thing. Your humor was curious, and perhaps a bit crude. The jokes did fail to land with him, but he still found them funny regardless.

You were the first to make him yearn. Malleus had felt loneliness before. He's been bound in it's searing clutches and taunted. Yet his rooted longing never compelled him to change. He never felt jealous. Until your smile became another's and he felt a hot pit in his stomach. One different than his fiery magic.

You were his first desire.

Malleus fumbled and panicked. He had finally found a friend, yet he wanted more. The realization striking him deep. The first want he had no guarantee of obtaining. Yet his need for you was strong. He could not lose you. Malleus begun to value your presence. Your joy. The new life you breathed into him. He held it as dear as his family. You became his fondest treasure.

Malleus needed to ensure that you would never be taken from him. That you would never change.

You were also his first failure. On the dawn of your second year and his graduation, Malleus proposed. He had forgone all customs and jumped straight to marriage. Love to the fae was a lifetime bond. No power could chain you to him stronger than matrimony. Which is why he demanded your presence in the gardens after the ending ceremony. He decorated according to your tastes, with colorful lanterns and firefly lights strewn across the plants.

He saw the hope in your eyes. The way they sparkled with affection and pride bloomed knowing that he was the cause.

“Malleus….It’s so beautiful. Did you prepare this just for me?” You ask, clutching your hands to your chest. He smiles, reaching into his breast pocket and pulling out a black velvet box in the shape of a rose.

“I’m happy to see you like it; however, I hope this offering pleases you more”

Malleus opens the box to reveal a ring. Your eyes widen owlishly and he interprets it as a good sign. Until you step back.

“Oh Malleus….I can’t accept this. We aren’t even dating!” You deny his unspoken proposal with a shaken tone Malleus’ is unfamiliar with. Not from you.

“Why not? I love you. Is that not enough? Do you not love me?”

He fails to understand why you declined. He spent countless hours studying human customs and expression. No. Studying you. He was confident you returned his affections. So why? Why not leave this place and join him?

You explain to him that you’re incapable of marrying someone you haven’t spent time with romantically. That you do care about him. That you liked him and did feel for him. That you could love him, but not so suddenly. You have friends at NRC and didn’t want to leave. Not to mention how him marrying a human, especially with no warning, would cause so many political problems.

Of course he had already taken all this into consideration. He didn’t care about all that, yet bit his tongue from speaking his mind. Another first for Malleus.

“What if I abide by your terms? Would you allow me to court you properly?” He cuts into your sea of reasons not to be together. They weren’t his concern. Only you.

This gets you. He clearly wasn’t listening. Love blinded the average person, and Malleus’ heart bled. You consider his offer, and agree to his courtship. It would be difficult to maintain considering your distance and his status. Yet they were fickle matters to Malleus.

You were his first failure, yet he didn’t mind. There was no true victory without a bit of labor.

The change that he so feared, it became something Malleus adored. Every time he would whisk you away from NRC, or return for a visit - you were different. You had a new story to share, or had changed your appearance. At first he began to panic once again at how quickly you seemed to evolve without him.

And one day he realized that you would keep changing. He’d see a new you forever. All these new versions. A constant spark and longing that made him realize how precious each one was. They would come whether he bid them to or not - so he had to cherish them. Every version of you was one he loved and lost. Yet the fact that another would emerge kept his heart complacent.

You were his first kiss on a dewy fall morning. You were his first heartfelt dance, dressed in shimmery black satin and pearls that he gifted. You were his first goodnight kiss, and first morning embrace. You were his first comfort after tragedy struck and his first sympathetic heartache. You were everything.

It was no longer about chaining you. He loved his firsts. He would forever remember them.

His first goodbye.

On the cusp of your 3rd year coming to a close, Malleus prepared the ring from two years prior. He would gift it to you after your graduation. It would be yours whether you accepted the meaning behind it or not - the ring could go to no one else.

An announcement arrives to him the week prior via pen and paper. Hand written by you and oh how he so loved your letters. Malleus opened it with calm delight, yet as his eyes traveled across the words he forgot how to control his strength. The paper alit in flames.

‘The Headmaster found a way to send me home. Would you come for a visit?’

The letter was not so blunt, but that’s all he could comprehend. Malleus was not ready to say goodbye. He once thought his greatest fear was to watch his flower wilt, yet now it must be cut to make a bouquet.

As much as it tore him apart, Malleus had to let you go. He couldn’t root you to soil forever. His hands unconsciously drift to the velvet rose box tucked safely in his breast pocket.

It’s only natural you’d be the source of some of Malleus’ lasts. He would never love another.

He joins you days before your ceremony. You explain to him the procedure to return, and he bites his tongue once again. He encourages you, and is happy that you’re happy. The ring burns a hole where his heart lies yet he continues on with grace, ignoring the cautious behavior of your peers whenever he’s around. The only opinion he cared for was yours, and he’d stay as long as you needed.

Malleus missed the way your heart sought his. The way you gave him chance after chance to ask you to stay. How you clung to him despite the roles normally being reversed.

“I guess this is goodbye. I’ll miss you,” you whisper, holding Malleus’ hand and glancing at the glowing portal behind him. Malleus smiles, his eyes softening as he leans forward to kiss your forehead.

“I will never forget your heart,” he murmurs against your skin, and reaches into his breast pocket with fluid movements. Malleus places the velvet rose box in your hands, cradling them gently with both of his.

“This is yours. I had it made for your finger alone, and only you will be the one to wear it. My heart belongs to you. Let this be my final selfish wish, but I hope you will think of me when you look upon it”

Malleus doesn’t understand why you break down. The way you clutch the box to your chest and look at him with such pain. He thought you wanted to go home. Is it not what you waited so long for?

He cannot be strong when you’re crying. How can you be so cruel. He won’t be able to -

“I want to be with you. I love you,” you whisper yet he hears it perfectly clear.

Malleus’ heart stutters and he clutches your shoulders. With one hand he tilts your chin up to look at him. Your eyes splotched with red irritation and glassy with sorrow. He wipes at their edges with his thumbs, cupping your cheeks ans looking at you for any sign of doubt. Any insincerity or fear. Your expression from years prior still lives rent free in his mind…he would not risk your happiness for his selfishness.

He finds nothing and pulls you in his arms. For the first time, Malleus sheds tears born from love. From relief. He wraps his arms protectively around you, and tucks his chin over your head.

“If you love something, let it be free. If it was meant to be yours then it will come back willingly. This is a saying of humans, is it not? I could not have you at the cost of your happiness. You do not deserve such a tainted love…but if this is truly what you desire, then I will not cease my efforts. You are mine, and I will eternally be yours,”

{Malleus’ ring is hand crafted by the royal blacksmith. Some would assume that there is a ring passed down through generations of the Draconia bloodline. There is not. The fae do not follow such traditions, yet Malleus would not instill all his values onto you. If it is a ring you need, then it is a ring he will get. He decides to reforge a gem plucked from his mother’s staff. The ring is made especially for you, with a teardrop-cut of magic-infused emerald as the focus point. It’s enchanted to reject any hand other than your own, and morphs to the size of your finger. It is subtle, made of pure gold, and a symbol of union between fae and mankind.}

"One should never make a vow of eternal love lightly. Take it from someone with ample life experience"

Lilia often imposes advice without any prompting. The musings of an old man normally went in and out of people's ears anyways. Sometimes it takes experience to learn, and no matter how we try to warn our children - fate is fate. They will go through the motions just as the people before them. Especially when it comes to trials of the heart such as love and loss.

Lilia knows both intimately. They've forged the man he is.

Philia: Love of friendship and equals. His peers, his comrades in arms, his fellow fae. The friends he has lost through death and distance. Those he fought to protect.

Storge: Parental love. To raise the son of his closest friends, and the blood of his sworn enemy. Lilia has fought through loss to feel the gratification of fatherhood. Lilia loves his children.

Agape: Love of man. This one took work. It took losing all he had, and then losing more. Hundreds of years of healing and trying to be better. Even in his final stretch Lilia is still learning this love.

Eros: Passionate, unconditional love. Lilia has felt this once, and only once. The wound still fresh with a dribble of salt steadily halting the healing process. To feel eros is a beautiful thing, but to have it ripped away is enough to kill.

Lilia experienced his fair share, and now enjoys watching those in the prime of life seek out love. He doesn't engage in romantic gossip, but enjoys watching others live their lives. One of his biggest curiosities being you, oddly enough.

This is because you've shown no interest in feeling love of any kind. Being the nosy man he is, Lilia finds your dismissal of others a bit concerning. He's not the most open person himself, yet you're a young human. This is when you should be wild! Surely you must feel something, considering all the 'escapades' you've been on with other students. The best way to bond is over shared trauma - he's not endorsing it. Just stating a fact.

"It's nothing personal. I'd rather not get too attached considering my living circumstances, if you catch my drift" you say in response to his prying.

He indeed 'catches the drift' and sees a bit of himself reflected in you. You were not unkind, yet also not overzealous. You did not push others away, yet also made an effort to protect yourself. For all the kind deeds you've done, Lilia knew better than to think it a case of bleeding heart syndrome. You remind him of how he was when deciding to raise Silver - afraid and very good at hiding it for the sake of others.

He decides to step in against his better judgement. If anything to repay the kindness you've done Malleus and his two youngsters. He couldn't watch you waste the precious life you’ve been given huddled away in isolation. Lilia would become your confident, as he is the most equipped to endure inevitably bidding farewell. If anything he will encourage you to forge stronger bonds of your own accord without fear.

He does an outstanding job at being the extrovert adopting an introvert. His favorite hobby being to startle you - popping out from random places like trees, bushes, the ceiling, your closet, etc. So much that you grow accustomed to his antics and expect them. Going so far as to always carry hard candies in your coat pocket as a peace offering.

He invites you to play online video games, go shopping, and sometimes pops by your dorm with Malleus. However his visits soon become solo, sensing that his adopted son didn't enjoy his 'nightly stroll' with his best friend being invaded. Lilia didn't mind - it meant that he'd get your company all to himself! There was nothing like watching a few horror flicks and tormenting Grimm after them. You even had a guest room in case he felt too ‘lazy’ to fly home.

On your birthday, he bakes a cake and leaves it on your kitchen windowsill. You found it, and even thanked him 'happily' later that day. He never said he was the chef though....you must have quite a keen sense of taste! That or he must be so talented that you know his cooking by heart!

Lilia felt a sense of relief, seeing your mannerisms shift from neutral to happy as time passed. It was hard work ebbing away at those walls of yours. It's not good for humans to be stressed. It lessens their already short lifespan.

He really should step aside. Let you befriend more humans and people that will support your journey. Except he doesn't want to. Philia's taken root in his heart - you're now a friend. An actual one.

So...he doesn't let go.

You join the college's boardgame club, and Lilia feels honored that he's the first you ask to play with. Each time you sought his company made him feel young again. Thrills did tend to follow your wake after all.

You often spent many evenings teaching Malleus, Silver, and even Sebek about your world. Not something Lilia planned for, but seeing you open up about it put his mind at ease. The different cultures, history, trends - Lilia listens in happily as well. Going so far as to learn some of your favorite recipes. He wants to cook them right away, but agrees to wait for your company. You grew nervous when he brought the topic up, possibly because you didn't want to be left out? Surely, that must be why.

Soon comes another January 1st - Signifying a new year and also Lilia’s birthday. The night prior he was out on the prowl, flying free throughout campus, watching people party and celebrate. Normally he’d spend this evening having fun of his own, but being caged at a school left him little chances to be free. Jumping across rooftops and sneaking around doing parkour was a trip down memory lane. The fireworks and lively people made for an excellent atmosphere.

By chance he happened on your rooftop, and decided to pop in for a quick respite. Slipping in through an open window was child’s play, as was avoiding your paranormal houseguests and popping in and out of rooms.

His keen hearing picks up your voice coming from the main bedroom - and normally he wouldn’t invade a personal space but the door was open. So obviously it was an invitation. He sticks to the ceiling and crawls to a shrouded corner with a mischievous grin.

How unsuspecting you were - dressed up in fancy clothes and muttering to yourself while in front of a floor length mirror. Lilia thinks you’re going to a party and is prepping to tag along -

“Alright. I can do this,” you mutter and turn around to pace the floor. A neatly wrapped present is clutched tight in your hands - wrapped in ivory paper with a sparkly pink ribbon. Lilia freezes just when he’s about to jump down, and clings back to the wall. “Just give it to him. Give it and tell him how you feel,” you turn towards the mirror, holding the box out, “Hello there Lilia. Yes, this is a birthday present. Yes, you’re a year older, how exciting! By the way I really like you so would you want to go on a date?” You fall silent, cringing in disgust at your reflection before sitting on the bed, “Ah. That was such dogshit”

Lilia exits as swift as he entered. The night air whips against his skin as he transforms into a bat and is already on the way back home. The implications of what he just witnessed weighing heavily on his mind.

This would not be the first time someone has caught feelings for him. You don't go 700 years without any suitors - he'd always turn them down with careful consideration.

Except he doesn't want to this time. That's the major issue.

The flight home was long, with purposeful detours until he felt tired enough to retire. A familiar bitter ache stung his heart. He'd only felt this disappointment once prior, and swore off letting it bud again.

Eros.

Lilia was in love too. He recognized the passion growing long before this moment, and against his better judgement let it fester.

"Seems I'm not as equipped to handle this as I once believed" he says to no-one and moves to play some online games instead of sleeping.

Lilia once felt a love he couldn’t express through anything other than fealty and devotion. It was a darker time where there was no promise of future. He swore not to endure that pain again - yet this is similar yet also different. The love is blooming effortlessly. His devotion is growing. The desire is there and so is the fear. All the same feelings yet without the dire weight of external forces adding pressure. This time it’s his choice to follow through. There’s no bigger force at play stopping him. Not even your mortality, considering how his lifespan is almost at its close.

Yet for all his years of wisdom, the thought of putting his heart out was still as frightening as the first.

In truth, Lilia had ulterior reasons for pursuing your companionship other than worry or repaying a debt. Your behaviors did remind him of his past self. That was no lie. He simply felt affection blooming upon your first meeting and thought having your friendship would morph it into something more tame. He had a habit of drawing in lost souls - what was one more?

Now the affection is stronger, and you return it.

Heavens, was he being given another chance? After all these years.

You return it. It's requited. He needn't hide it for the sake of someone else's happiness. Lilia could be selfish, if only he let himself.

The next day, Lilia finds an ivory box with a sparkly pink ribbon outside his door. A neatly written letter is attached, with the words 'Happy Birthday' written on the front. His name is written on the tag in black ink, with your name signed as the sender.

Lilia picks it up and undoes the wrapping with nimble movements. Inside is an assortment of treats that he wanted to try from your home, and a neatly folded letter atop them. It details exactly what was expected, a perfect explanation of your feelings that's entirely different than the nervous display he intruded upon.

He looks around the hallway, checking to see if you’re nearby before disappearing without a trace. Nothing but an open door showing that he left.

Everything after is a blur. While doing the dishes back at your dorm and trying not to think of the present - Lilia appears out of nowhere, startling you for what was probably the first time in months. His typical cheeky grin and snicker were nowhere in sight.

He says one thing, “Are you certain?”. The words held a heavy meaning for the both of you.

Asking if he’s willing to go for one last chance. To take one final risk or simply be satisfied with all he’s accomplished thus far. It asks if you’re willing to do the same - to risk everything you’ve built in one fell swoop.

You nod, and Lilia smiles. Not an impish smirk or a snarky grin. A true, soft smile that is full of released tension. He happily hugs you from behind as you finish working in silence, gradually slipping back to his playful ways yet not entirely. He would remain the out of touch peepaw that you so loved to tease him as, but a bit of his youthful spirit was being revived. His inner self being healed, perhaps.

He loves you, and the world hasn’t split in two. It was his time.

Finally.

From then on he had no reservations in loving you. This was a new form of eros. A new passion filled with joy and living for the moment - versus the weight of time holding him back like it did when he was younger. Nothing changed in your dynamic other than he now had the strength to let himself love freely.

Which is exactly why he wastes no more time. Just as he told you off hand long ago, one should not make a vow of eternal love lightly. He’d take his own advice and seek his own happiness for the first time in hundreds of years.

On a random night with no inkling of warning, Lilia drags you out of bed to the Ramshackle rooftop in nothing but your nightclothes. It wasn’t the first time he’d ask for a midnight escapade - just for the thrill and surprise, most of the time. He loved to keep things exciting.

Except he was being far too gentle. Far too nostalgic. He sits you down on the edge of the roof and puts his cardigan over your shoulders. Not a word passes between you as he tucks it snug around your shoulders - his hand tracing the line of your cheekbones, down your arms and to your hands. He cradles them gently, never taking his eyes from yours.

Then something foreign glimmers against your finger. In an effortless motion, he slipped the ring on without pause. You can’t help but stare at the gem in thought, looking between it and Lilia’s thoughtful expression over and over.

Lilia nods, taking your hand in his and running his thumb over the ring - admiring it against your skin.

“I’ve lived many years. Lead many lives. I thought I had accepted my nearing end, yet I find myself wanting more. I want to grey with grace at your side. To enjoy mundane evenings - greet you come morning and kiss you to seal a day’s end. I want my last life to be at your side, if only you will have me”

Red is the color of passion, devotion, and unconditional love. Red roses hold this very meaning in the language of flowers. Lilia has felt this before - but you are his fated. You have chosen him simply for the person he is - not who he needs to be. He can finally be free and at peace. Your love is something he can selfishly hoard and it gives him the desire to enjoy life. He feels full. Happy. He hopes that this ring shows that he wants to live for the moment by your side, eternally}

Your Yandere Scarabia headcanons were so good and I really felt like you understood their characters that their yandere self wasn’t too ooc! While reading Jamil’s part I kept of thinking how unfortunate it would be for the mc to be a beastman (mainly thought of a beastman influenced from the jungle book’s bagheera or Shere Khan). His master servant mindset would quickly change to master and pet! Makes the bird in a cage analogy even more true! Ahh keep up the good writing and drink water!

My biggest fear is making headcanons that literally nobody agrees with or sees the vision because they don't make sense. Honestly, I agree. I don't think he's on the line where he sees them as a pet like the Leech twins (if you read those headcanons :3) but he would still see you as a pet to some extent. I don't know much about the biology of the beast men in TWST but with Jamil, he'd strive to get you to follow your true biology. I don't know how accurate this is in animals, but it is in humans. We naturally follow the strongest or we group in numbers. Jamil is smart and tends to plan everything down to the little details. With that being said, the chances of you creating an elaborate plan that manages to surprise him are low. Naturally, you have no choice but to give in. Strength isn't always the winning factor which he quickly manages to educate you in. You have no one to help you so counting on numbers is pointless, only logical choice is to follow the strongest, AKA Jamil. He'll get you to understand that he's the one with power now and if you want something to change you better listen to him. Honestly, I'm writing this after I posted my Rook headcanons so if you want to of course, feel free to read those because it'll go with what I have to say :3!

As far as Jamil goes, his darling would fit the category of learned helplessness. Under the mindset of master and pet, your life changes drastically. You're completely dependent on Jamil. He's the one providing you with everything and you have no choice. Even if he doesn't force you, you naturally do it because you feel like there is no end to your situation. That there is no point in leaving even when an opportunity arises. So honestly, it would be unfortunate for the beastman darling or anyone who happens to fall into the master pet dynamic. Savanaclaw: Just offer Leona to take the responsibilities of Dorm Leader but he still gets to control all the dorm sports. (Also must offer lap nap privileges)

Octanvinelle: MC waits till Floyd's in a mood and offers to get Jade new terrariums. MC's outsmarted Azul before and can do it again, the eels are the wildcards.

Scarabia: Kalim could probably be convinced of anything, bless his heart. The trouble is making sure to keep Jamil as vice warden and take some of his workload please this overworked boy-

Ignihyde: Idia, if challenged might fight for it and give MC some trouble, he's got a competitive streak after all. But the moment its presented as a way for him to get out of socializing he 200% will pronounce MC Dorm leader and run away at Mach 3. (It won't hurt to offer playtime with Grimm too)

Diasomnia: Now my dear sweet Malleus. If he thought his friend really wanted it would hand the title over 100%. The real fight would be Sebek and having to deal with his screeching. Prepare Malleus merch to win him over, the more the better
