Jason, about Tim, after the TT incident, and he's trying to make Tim less wary of him, and Dick is dropping info like any good brother: This kid is like a traumatized feral cat in a hoodie.

so uhm imma just be writting down stuff cause yes (PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMENT)
My principal 2 ideas
how this could start is either way patrol goes bad or a Mission with the JL or both combined and everyone is mad at Bruce because yes his paranoia IS a problem but they all could have reacted better beacause THEY KNOW BETTER, Bruce has dedicated his life to try and teach them better than what he knew himself and also had TRIED to keep them out of the "Heroism" beacuse i need to do the reminder that most of them were the ones that started as vigilantes and not Bruce pushing them into that.
his children (imma go more in deep here cause this is the rout i will probably go for):
Dick started because dude has enraged cause his parents died and wanted to track down their killer, and B trained him so he (dick) didnt get killed. Jason was happy being robing cause "it gave him magic" (IT DID, but when a ray of sunshine is to bright the world destroys it)
Tim didn't even wanted to be robin in the first place, i mean ofc he wanted but the baby had many issues, so he looked for Dick and quite literally asked him to "pls be robin again, bat is angy and bein mean to people" by mean i meant HES PUTTING PEOPLE INTO EMERGENCY CARE, eventually i think Dick and Bruce got into troble with BANE and fucking alfred gave the robin suit to an UNTRAINED child and told him "Yo go save them chum" and Tim in his rational mind went to save 2 vigilantes as a child and untrained (alfred IS also the problem),
yes, i havent forgot that Tim did kinda blackmailed Bruce and half-"man-handle" him into self and kind of mental health in some comics, Bruce didn't wanted Tim to be Robin because he still couldn't forget Jason's death wich still haunted him and still does. then Tim almost fckin dies and he needs to stay in bed rest and then
Stephanie is Robin for like a while and then she wither quits or Bruce fires her i think, and she comes back as Batgirl and the Spoiler
Cassandra is literally there by choice, she says it in the comics "Im Batman's Daughter By choice" also she's a trained assasin, she wants to be there, she wants to help and She does not kill.
Duke is Adopted cause of his parents situation (they are jokerized) and he's a meta (also the only bat that does patrols at Daytime) and he was the lider of the ROBINS club, bro literally had a mini gang of people calling themself's Robins to help Batman (i havent read stuff in a while so FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ME)
Barbara was there from the start and even before Dick in some characterizations (or shes as old as Bruce, as she sould be) Girl has gotten DE-aged so many times just to be shipped, GIRL DESERVES BETTER, so she should be older than him atleast by 7 years plssss, and when she started as Batgirl she didn't even worked for bruce.
then there is Maps (Mia "Maps" Mizoguchi) WHICH I will make her appear in the story (she's a student from Gotham Academy, she's also the founder of the "Detective's club") "Her journey as Robin is explored through various comics, including Batman: Black and White. Batman's perspective on Maps' role is officially revealed in The Brave and the Bold #12. Maps isn't just any sidekick; she's a named Robin in Batman's eyes as of 2024." -Google chrome and me cause i read the comic
--------------------------------
it resolves in everyone (exept some) snapping at Bruce and making him for the first time in a LONG time think about throw in the Cowl, yes. imma make it so gutrenching angst and also very fluffy, because Bruce has started to go once a month to a therapy session with Dinah either in person or bya Zoom or somtheing like that and its been doing okay, and the thing is those sessions are just a follow up from the previous stuff he was doing cause in Tim made him go to therapy at first (cause of Jasons death and Bruce's other issues) and this event is just gonna make Bruce just go to france to have a very well needed stayacion.
and well everyone is worried asf beacuse BRUCE WAYNE has dissapeared
WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS MONDAY AND HE HASN'T FELL INTO A FOUNTAIN?!
what do you mean he isn't there for the WEEKLY meeting with his workers were he's there just praising how well they work (he has never NOT come)
what do you mean he isnt there for FAMILY DINNER?
what do you mean he is not there for the JL obligatory meet up
what do you mean he isn't on a crazy Yacht party
what do you mean he isn't there when scarecrow gases gotham again? (even tho they can do it perfectly)
what do you mean he isn't at the kent farm like he usually does when he's stressed and he need that pie from Ma' kent
What do you mean he isn't with clark or louis?
What do you mean he isn't with oliver queen doing stupid stuff
What are you in when the Bat-kids (Damian) call the LOA (The League of Assasins) asking if casually they have Bruce (Damian calls Talia to ask if she got her "Beloved" with her)
What do you mean even Ra's Al Ghul is taken aback with the news that his Daughter gave him
Why are the Gotham Villians being nicer???? (B isnt there and they are worried kinda)
What do you mean Bruce Wayne is spotted in DISNEYLAND PARIS with a GROW UP normal child on his shoulder and smiling brighter than a thousand suns with pure and entire Happyness looking at that kid as if it was his entire world??
What do you mean he looks happier without them (he isn't but he really needs a fucking break)

10 Things I Hate About You
Jason "Jay" Todd
What if Dick payed Roy to take Jason out and keep him happy enough that he would be more willing to come around to the family. He hacked in and got Roy into Jay's classes at Gotham U and his usual schedule so that they would start running into each other more. What if he told Roy not to mention anything about them ever being friends because that would just piss of Jason more so Roy agrees he needs the money anyway and what could go wrong from taking Dick's brother out for a while really?
So Roy joins Jason's classes, Creative Writing, Literary History, and Comp. Enough that they were together often but not enough that it was odd. He sat next to him in class and started conversations started taking him to coffee for study dates and to get help with some of his work.
He took him out to dinner and to the museum. He took him to the farmers market and went to volunteer at youth shelters to help kids with homework and the like.
When Jason decides to bring Roy to one of the Wayne Charity Galas, Roy is hesitant but agrees with a smile before he kisses Jason goodbye and texts Dick that they need to talk. He wants to end the arrangement. He doesn't know how to tell his friend that he fell for his little brother but he just knows that he can't continue with this relationship if he's getting paid he says he'll give the money back at the Gala.
Fast forward to the night of the gala and Dick pulls Roy into the hall to talk away from the party.
Dick: I don't understand you did what I paid you to do you made Jason happy you brought him home he came to a Gala of his own volition! you earned this
Roy: No listen I can't do it just take the money please I don't want it...
Jason looking for his brother and date stops dead in his tracks: You paid him to date me?...
Roy: Jason wait you don't unders-
Jason: Save it. I'm leaving lose my number.
Roy shoots Dick one last panicked look: Jaybird please I can explain.
Dick watches with pale eyes as Roy chases after Jason who has obviously started crying as he storms out of the gala.
Roy: Jaybird, baby please just listen to me for one second!
Jason turns on him with a snarl: You don't get to call me that anymore! I don't want to listen to a word you fucking say! I should have known! I'm so stupid to think anyone could ever care about me like you did! Just stay away from me.
Roy is left standing like an idiot as Jason drives off and he wonders how he's going to face Jason in class after this...
In class the next week their professor asks if any would would like to share their rendition of the Shakespeare sonnet they were assigned and a few people shift uncomfortably before Jason raises his hand.
Roy watches with red eyes as Jason heads up to the podium with his sonnet.
Jason: I hate the way you talk to me and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare; I hate your big dumb combat boots and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme.
Roy takes a shaky breath as Jason swallows back his tears to continue.
Jason: I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it that you're not around. And the fact you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, not even close, not even a little but, not at all.
Jason's voice cracks on the last line before he grabs his stuff and storms out of the room and Roy stares at the tears on his desk as the door slams behind Jason.
Later when Jason is heading towards his car he opens the door to find a book lying on his seat and picks it up as his heart stops.
A first Edition Pride & Prejudice.
Roy: It's not nearly enough to show how sorry I am but I hope its a good start?
Jason spins around to stare and the man who broke his heart not even a week ago.
Jason: I don't know I think some grovelling would be nice...
Roy: Jaybird I'm so sorry and I will do absolutely everything in my power to be better every day if you could find it in your heart to let me try...
Jason: Fine. But I don't know how you're going to make things up to me if you mess up again.
Roy: There are a few more first additions I can get my hands on if I need to?
Jason huffs a laugh before pulling the man into a firm kiss; he liked the sound of that.

I saw a post abt his goons thinking Jason is like super old because his outfit (w/ muzzle and hood) only shows his white hair, and while him being oblivious to that perception (like in that post) is funny as fuck, I think him encouraging it is equally funny.
Like, he casually goes “yeah, Batman and I were both trained by Agent A, but I take after him more than the Bat does” and all of his goons are like “holy fuck, does that mean they’re rivals bc of having the same mentor? No wonder Red Hood is scary as fuck.” But by “trained” Jason means “learned how to do household chores” and by “take after” he means “isn’t banned from the kitchen” and like, also he uses guns, but that’s not even what he’s thinking of until later.
This also means whispers of the terrifying “Agent A” start through Gotham’s underworld, and Bruce and Dick are losing their fucking minds and interrogate Alfred because “YOU NEVER MENTIONED A PRODIGY???” and Alfred is like “???” because they came to the conclusion that Alfred trained someone before working for the Waynes, and Alfred suddenly has to wrack his brain for every single person he ever encountered while in MI6, sweating because he has no memory of ever training any of them

all caste jason as a grad student studying folklore & mythology just for funsies
Oh that's so fun!
If we're leaning deeper into magic (because I like making my blorbos magical girls), I could imagine him using it like prestidigitation to spread doubt about the creatures being real among his course lmao
> Alternatively:
"...that zombies, according to traditional folklore-"
"That's not how they work."
"I- pardon ?"
"Zombies. That's not how they work."

Jason Todd being a nerd means so much to me, I feel like I need to consume more content of him just being a dork.
Ranting about how upset he is with the ending of one of his novels, him ugly crying over a sad ending.
Listening to musicals on patrol/travelling across rooftops.
His siblings tackling him and begging for help in a Literature essay because they have a hardass teacher.
That anonymous account he has where he reviews shit by dissecting the mf like an autopsy.
The fanfiction, I've seen so many headcannons on this one

Yeah, Jason Todd is the terrifying, gun slinging, crime-lord-for-fun Red Hood. Be he will always be a nerd and a loser first and foremost. And at any possible moment he has a quote from some classic novel or, like, the bible or something (he read it looking for some answers but all he got out of it were some badass verses he quotes at Bruce when he pisses him off (which is often)).
So when, in the middle of a villain takedown that Red Hood begrudgingly agreed to help the Bats with, he yells a line at a group of goons and ... one of them quotes a line right back at him.
Jason stops dead in his tracks.
"really? The Great fucking Gatsby?" the first goon asks. "Didn't take the Red Hood for a damn book nerd."
A second goon pipes up, a desperate attempt to save their collective asses a couple more seconds, "It was super scary when you said it, Mr. Hood!"
The first one is still going, he launches into a tirade about the themes of the novels and how, yeah whatever quote Red Hood used was clever considering their circumstances, but jesus christ dude have you heard of context? You sound like a fucking idio–
Jason tackles the guy screaming. The warehouse goes mostly quiet as villains and bats alike stop to watch the two duke it out, screaming like madmen about literature.

i just finished bridgerton (like an hour ago) and my thoughts have been consumed with a few things, but to start off i’d like to state this:
jason todd would adore the show loudly to his friends, but quietly to his family.
he has the books, every single one of them. a copy full of annotations, and a bookshelf copy. he adores them. rereads them once a year.
kate and anthony? his FAVORITE couple. he’d die for them. season 2 is his favorite season, even if he adored the first and third. lady danbury? HIS GIRL, don’t even play rn.
his inner dialogue would become lady whistledown and he’d start murmuring to himself like she would write.
“dearest gentle reader,” he’d whisper to himself as he stalks the shadows of gotham’s most dangerous streets. “i have written to you to share the most delightful news…”
him and artemis GOSSIP about the freaky scenes, giggling and kicking their feet when they watch the carriage scene for the 20th time.
he asks alfred one time if the queen was a gossipy bitch. he smirks and walks away. jason goes fucking ballistic.

Tim, sneakily crawling through the window: Jason: Why in Gotham's name are you breaking into my apartment in the dead of night?" Tim: *startles, yelps, and falls the rest of the way inside*
Jason:
Tim:
Tim: I thought you were gonna get back from the Outlaws tomorrow morning....
Jason: Yeah well I uh-.
Jason:
Jason: I got homesick and Sped the rest of the way back instead of going to a motel for a night.
Tim: Oh.
Jason, pinching the bridge of his nose (much like Bruce): Okay, I repeat my question, why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the Manor?
Tim: ...Yeah, I'll go, sorry, I'll leave.... *Starts climbing back out the window* Jason: Jason: *hurries over and snatches Tim* Jason: Hang on- (looks Tim over, pale and a bit sweaty despite the current cold weather, but shivering and red-rimmed eyes) - were you crying? Tim: *shuffles nervously and says nothing*
Jason:
Jason: .....Timmy, did you have a nightmare......?
Tim: *slowly nods after a moment* Jason: .....Bruce is off on a case, isn't he? And Dickie's in Blud?
Tim: *nods* Jason: And Cass is who knows where? So you couldn't go to any of them fast? Tim: *nods*
Jason: And the Manor was too loud or something so you came here? Tim: *nods* Jason: Why not to B's room or Cass' or Dick's room if you didn't know I was here? Tim: *shrugs* Jason: Timmy
Tim: You would be the first to get back and I couldn't sleep and i don't know, it didn't feel safe and Dami was asleep and so was Duke and so was Alfred and I dunno I just- *cuts off, shivering.* Jason:
Jason: *Slowly picks Tim up.* Tim: *Tenses for a second before burying his face in his brother's shoulder and clinging on, breaking a bit and sobbing and all.* Jason: *makes his way to the couch and settles down, holding Tim close.*
Jason: Hey, hey, it's ok, I got you, I'm right here, nothing's gonna hurt you, it's safe, you're okay, I'm right here.
Jason: You just wanted your big brother, huh? Tim, sniffling: Yeah, i guess.
(Jason gives Tim the big brother cuddles for the rest of the night and when Dick notes their trackers and comes over to check he finds both his middle brothers curled up on the couch. He totally took pictures. That have made their way to Bruce. Who has them framed somewhere)

The books are better!
Dick Grayson doesn't like reading stuffy classic novels the way his Jaybird does, but he watches movie adaptations so he can talk about them with his brother. Jason yells that he's the worst- but he's smiling, and Dick would do anything to keep his Little Wing grinning like that.

Hi i wrote this like at 3 am yesterday
Well this is a weird thingy tham im doing, its been TOO long since I've written anything, so this is gonna be deff a Crack fic or maybe just an dumb idea that i just got, imma merge so many shit together ao please here me out,
So Neglected Reader? Huh? YES. but h
What about Neglected Dad Bruce Wayne with Protective squad that consists of all his daughters + every other sidekick that he's met (not the robins)
I love the neglectful fanfics but im just to depress right now and i need Fluff or a Crack fic that also uses the Neglectful tagg so imma just do it my self.
So this is my idea
Bruce's Kids (minus Cass and Damian) and Bruce's firends (the JL) after some issue or problem they just crashout/ snap / lash out at bruce and just like that there is tension in the manor and in the HQ, and even alfred is giving him his disappointed look, it takes a toll on bruce so much that the tension finally makes Bruce's Social battery go to total 0% and He decides to have a very much needed Stayation in France to see none other than his super secret BIO Daughter (and totally convenient is the Reader) that he usually visits 1 week and a half every 2 or 3 months (its for covering his tracks and not to be suspicious, tho they usually have phone calls or just facetime) so he goes and stays with his daugher and he finally gets to have a rest from everyone else (Bruce is gonna be either to anxious or just kinda Neurodivergent coded) what Bruce doesn't know is that
In the daytime they are his daughter, just a normal child with a normal life, but there's something about them that no one knows yet, cause they have a secret.
Or Bruce Wayne is Tired and goes to live with his daughter in France, and his daughter is a Magical Girl / Laybug / a Sailor scout?! (Something like that lmao)
Or im just to sleep deprived and im not coherent
Also this is a shit crossover? Because what do you mean Invincible has an appearance is in the fic?????
(BTW please leave comments with yall's opinions or ideas or whatever u have in mind i like reading/listening to peoples ideas or opinios) (●'◡'●)

Let's build Jason a bookshelf !
Pride and Prejudice - homeboy is an Austen fan canonically, we need at least this one.
Hamlet -do I need to say more? Do I?
Water for the elephants: He won't admit it, but the book reminds him of Dick, and he reads it any time he misses him. It's angsty enough to maintain a front while actually being a romance with a satisfying ending.
The Outsiders: It's not just that the story is relatable and really well written; it's the themes of loyalty, grief and heroism, and the imagery and hopefulness shining through, and it's the way Johnny reminds him of Roy and sometimes, after Roy's death, he will close his eyes and picture the two of them together in an abandoned church, in that quiet space safe from the war raging outside, reading Gone With the Wind while Roy provides uncharitable commentary about the characters' decisions.
Under The Whispering Door (TJ Klune): This one was gifted to him by Tim because "the main character is an asshole ghost, I thought you might relate." Of course, these idiots could talk to eachother about emotions and go to therapy, but why do that when you can bait your brother into reading a story that will help him process a bit of his relationship with his own death and the family? The worst part is, it worked great, and Jason is so upset that it became one of his favourite books. (The part about the stages of grief is scientifically inaccurate, though. He would know.)
A compilation of TS Eliot's works: Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of TS Eliot and Jason, but every time I reread one of his poems, I think about Jason and I'm sad. The Hollow Men, in particular about the fallen soldiers from WWI, hits so hard as a Jason poem, especially when you consider he lived through the explosion but died of smoke inhalation.
Flowers for Algernon: After losing Bizarro, Jason rereads it often, sitting on rooftops, every time the sky is bright enough to see the stars. He reads it out loud, and the words burn his tongue and taste bitter every time every time, but he likes to pretend his friend is listening, and feels a little less alone.
The Oresteia: This one belongs to the list Jason has read many times and should probably read less, because he projects the tragedy onto his real life and it's a bad influence that comforts him in the idea that he was doomed from the start and might as well burn the remains of the bridges with his family. Good luck trying to pry it out of his hands though! He also loves the idea of being seen at his worst, in the midst of all his hopelessness, and being loved anyway, cradled with unwavering devotion.
Frankenstein : He's a huge Mary Shelley fan, both as a person and a writer. As for Hamlet and the Oresteia, he definitely projects maybe a little too much of some of the characters, but hey, not everybody can brag that they relate to the Creature on such a visceral level.
What else would you guys add?
