When you think about it, Roy would've never lost his arm thanks to Prometheus if not for Prometheus manipulating Green Arrow and Green Lantern to have their group reconvene with the Justice League when it seemed they were being outwitted by the villains, thus getting into the Hall disguised as Freddy Freeman.
And Ollie and Hal would've never been in that position if they hadn't been on their ego trip to form a more "proactive" team in the first place.

sorry but im not familiar with the Justice League: Cry For Justice. is it a fan creation or a post someone made or just a general thing people think? sorry, i am just unfamiliar with it even though you said 'nuff said, sorry to bother!
It’s okay Anon
It’s an actual canon miniseries story about Hal Jordan and Oliver Queen splintering from the main JLA along with several other heroes to be a more ‘proactive’ team against the forces of Evil. All it does in the end is have those heroes resort to….unethical tactics to get information, stilted and unnatural dialogue, meandering storyline, dumb plot by the main villain of the arc Prometheus and worst of all plenty of needless D List Character deaths the bulk of whom had nothing to do with the story itself, most telling of all…..poor poor poor Lian Harper.
THIS was the arc that made Roy aka Red Arrow lose his daughter and began his anti hero stint as Arsenal, a stint that until basically now is getting fixed
For more info on why Cry For Justice upsets not just me but a whole lot of fans, I highly recommend the following videos I linked below (start from bottom to top ;-) and also check out Linkara and Atop The Fourth Wall, it’s great stuff he puts out)

Bruce after yelling at all his kids, now turning to Jason specifically: And anoth-
Jason: You ever raise your voice at me again, and I'll start a gang war so elaborate and large scale that you'll be forced to call in the Justice League.
Bruce:
Jason: And I'll do it whilst you're in the middle of an ultra important WE meeting, too.

A Martyr From the Ashes
For everyone in the fandom saying saying that Danny thinks Martian ManHunter is cooler than Superman, we don't really see it all that much in writing.
I'mma try and fix that...
~•~•~•~•~•~
The Martian Book of Legends held the heroic tale of Saint Da'han'yul Fen'tuun of Mars, a sickly albino priest of a small town that held marriages, sermons regarding life and how it should be enriched and lived to its fullest, and specialized in funerals that used cremations with fire, a feat thought to be physically impossible by the masses. As people saw him look into the flames without fear while others cowered, rumors spread that the young man was blessed by H'ronmeer himself, the Martian God of Fire, Life, and Death.
People spoke about how Da'han'yul turned down all attempts at courtship, for he had decided to dedicate his life to bring light in the darkest times to all lives in the name of his God. He was a thing of beauty with a gentle soul and shy demeanor, even the Red and Green skinned who had still held a firm belief on the caste system could not deny his charm. How the terminally ill Martian carried on his mission with a smile, nobody knew.
However, tragedy struck on the day that should have spelled the beginning of the end for the Martian people. A parasitic species had invaded the Martian Homeworld and was causing untold havoc. As civilians fled from the threat and prepared a counter offensive, it was Da'han'yul Fen'tuun who charged into the danger headfirst to save his people from becoming prey.
As others pleaded for him to run away, in a great bright flash of light, a gigantic Martian loomed over the enemy emerged where the ill Martian stood, coated in flames in a form they've never seen before with a halo and body that burned a haunting green.
The deafening silence still held as the enormous creature brought a massive fist on the giant pale walker that was destroying homes. A wave of its hand sent a wall of green flames raced towards the foot soldiers, reducing them to ash while his people and buildings were not harmed in any form without an ounce fear of these fires the creature used to purge the enemy. Within the hour, the threat had been neutralized and peace was brought back to the red planet.
As the Martian people looked to the titan, they knew. H'ronmeer's had chosen his most loyal servant, Da'han'yul, as the avatar of his wrath to smite those who would bring his people harm. The people hugged and wept tears of joy and cheered for the priest and H'ronmeer for saving them, but the tears soon became tears of sorrow.
The giant groaned in pain as he fell on one knee as it began to crumble into ash before the people's very eyes. Like a flame, Da'han'yul Fen'tuun had burned his brightest when life needed him most, and now death called to him as it slowly extinguished it to give him peace. With a final message, he pleaded to his people to come together as one and to not see one another as lesser or greater than, but as equals who can help one another in the darkest of times and the hardships yet to come. With his final moments gone, a final telepathic embrace was given to all before he fell silent for the last time.
The massive pile of ash that were his remains was brought back to his little village and made into a beautiful garden of ash in the temple where the newly titled Saint made his home in, where it would be made a holy site that many would come to give their thanks and pay their respects for H'ronmeer' and his champion alike.
And for centuries, peace was held before it was shattered by Ma'alefa'ak, who unleashed the Fire Plague to take vengeance on his people for his inability to experience the psionic way of life that was the norm. His smile as his people screamed in anguish was knocked off his face in the most literal of terms when a Martian struck him down and had him by the throat.
A Martian with eyes burning in anger as Ma'alefa'ak failed to break free and was being beaten severely for his crimes against the people of Mars. A Martian made entirely up of ash and green embers.
Saint Da'han'yul Fen'tuun had returned, if only for a moment longer. And he was not happy.
Quickly, one by one across the planet, the martians set ablaze burned a gentle green that healed them. In this miraculous act of divine intervention, not a single Martian had lost their life. Most were now unconscious with labored breathing being heard.
J'onn watched on as his brother screamed in agony as his body burst into green flames as a pool of ash began to swallow his brother whole. Before disappearing entirely, Da'han'yul told him the punishment his brother would be facing.
"Ma'alefa'ak's psionic abilities have been awoken. He will be sentenced to become a living flame until he has lived the collective life span of all that he has tried to extinguish."
J'onn was too stunned to speak. With how long a Martian can live, it was the equivalent of telling him his brother would be suffering for an eternity. It seemed unethical, but he knew his brother had dug his own grave the moment he saw the reanimated remains of Da'han'yul Fen'tuun's ashes take swift action.
"Everything will be ok now, J'onn. Go to your family and tend to them.
"Da'han'yul...Thank you. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you when you were still alive." J'onn solemnly uttered as he looked to the ground, unable to look at his deceased youngest brother.
"Nonsense J'onn, it's not your fault...The caste system...it–"
"I could've done more! Instead I saved myself instead of being there when my brothers needed me most!"
"J'onn...you were just a child."
"It makes none of it right!"
He was right in that aspect, but it still didn't feel right. Ma'alefa'ak' was ostracized by society, was treated like a freak of nature for lack of natural gifts and he wanted to burn society to the ground in the most literal of terms because of it.
While Da'han'yul, the forgotten youngest brother, was treated horribly for being albino and treated cruelly. He contracted a deadly disease when he separated himself from the family to live in isolation with other albinos that made him sickly and cut his life expectancy down severely. Knowing what befell him, seeing him struggle to move and hold down food at times while J'onn and their parents did nothing.
These tumultuous emotions sat in J'onn for so long. The way he wanted to go and help them both, but the fear of association and social punishment for merely being seen with his brothers made him cry when he younger for being so weak willed. It wasn't until their parents bragged about the sacrifice their forgotten child had made, the sone they purposely scorned made him snap.
"J'onn, promise to keep my message alive for me. Help our people become whole again."
"Of course, brother." Is what J'onn tells him as he watches his little brother vanish again for a third and final time.

Young Justice is made up of snarky traumatized losers with terrible coping skills so whenever something bad happens or just mildly inconveniences them, they’ll just mutter something completely out of pocket
Any of them waking up in a gurney after a fight in response to ‘are you okay’: “I mean nothing will ever hurt more than the fact that my family will never know me as well as my friends do”
A villain giving some variation of the ‘we’re the same/we’re not that different from each other’ speech after doing some off the walls crazy ass scheme that harmed multiple people?
Cassie: it’s almost like being home
Cissie, nodding: and getting lectured by-
Kon, who only heard ‘lectured’ bc he’ll be damned if he has to pay attention to some villain monologue and Clark: -Superman?
Cassie and Cissie, imitating muscle man: My mom
Tim’s tech loses power for some reason while he’s doing research for a case?
“Okay cool, just die on me like my parents…no this is great”
A villain saying anything along the lines of ‘stop hiding’ or ‘where are you’ and a YJ member responding back “why are you more concerned with my whereabouts than my literal family?”
“Tim, where’s the evidence??”
“Gone like my parents for my entire childhood. Jesus, do I look like I know?”
Someone lies/betrays anyone in yj but particularly Anita or tim?
“Ooh, plot twist! I’m kidding, I’m always expecting someone to betray my trust”
“Is this the part where you reveal that we’re related???”
“I’m not saying I expected this but I kinda expected this…”
Anyone in YJ but particularly Tim and Bart in response to ‘how was your day?’:
“I don’t think I’ve ever really taken the time to process the death of my loved one(s)”
Anyone coping better than yj: “Are you…good??”
“Not really, no. Do you want an extremely detailed explanation for this cool thing I know?!”
A villain made an insult that hit a little to close home towards Cissie, Tim, or Cassie?
“The only person that’s allowed to make me feel like shit is my mom!”
“Thank you for that! God, it’s like talking to my mother.”
Bart gets hurt on a mission?
“Wow, that hurt almost as much as leaving my friends and family to their impending doom back home”
“Yikes, this is almost as bad as being stuck in the past with a family that wants nothing to do with me”
“I’m okay, nothing hurts more than when I realized despite having a family, my friends make up my entire support system…”
[These are all comments made casually to the titans or justice league bc YJ are deeply concerning individuals that traumabonded and think they’re funny (they are) but really they’re just traumatizing their mentors/coworkers and friends/loved ones]

I really love 2004 Batman, mainly because of the Joker.
The dreadlocks were nifty - they were meant to look like the points of a jester hat/cap - and the red eyes were really good in dark shorts.
Never really liked the purple tux black legging barefoot combo. I preferred his design from the earlier seasons where he was in a modified straightjacket. Made more sense to be gloveless and shoeless.
I also liked the way he moved. Really primal and animalistic, scuttling around and clinging to walls and buildings. The voice was really good too!
Sad not many ppl know about him, or the rest of the 2004 Batman series, because its actually really enjoyable. And the mohawk steroid Bane monster Joker design? It was probably based on, or influenced by, how Joker does the same thing in the series.
Tumblr media
Nice to see u know it. Honestly, its on 2nd place on my animated Jokers list - though every animated Joker voiced by Mark Hamill all share 1st place.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! and yeah!! i feel like 2004 needs to get more attention! its a wonderful show! and Joker's design is fun! I dont like that his feet are out, but like?? his more feral/animalistic vibe is so nice!! His voice is amazing too, i love his laugh! im like... on s4 now(?) i thinks... but yeah
once again thank you for this!! i'll be making more 2004 artwork at some point 🙏

Golden Trio as Kents
Previous Next
‐-----------------------
The Justice League was on edge. Well, they were suspicious.
Superman had been strange the past few weeks. He and the other Supers had been taking increased trips to Smallville. People had begun to worry something had happened to the Kent elders but after Flash had tearfully asked after their health they'd been reassured that they were as fit as ever.
Which begs the question as to why they were constantly in Smallville. Batman, as usual, asked his sons due to their close relationship to the Superboys. Damian and Tim were not helpful.
Though that did confirm that this was a non threatening civilian issue considering his sons had essentially laughed in his face (or rather they'd brushed him off which was the same in the Batclan, unless you were Jason or Stephanie who literally laugh in his face).
Eventually Bruce decided to bite the bullet and ask Clark. He'd held off this long because everytime he approached Clark buzzed with excited energy like a hyperactive golden retriever and Bruce did not have the energy to deal with that.
He'd come to regret his decision after Clark simply led him to the Kent farm and introduced him to his new siblings.
As a father Bruce loved his kids. He did not, however, like them. It sounds horrible but while Bruce would easily lay down his life for his children without a second thought he would never be friends with them had they met on the streets, matter of fact, he'd cross the road to avoid them.
His children were mean and teenagers. He'd heard enough of their casual 'roasts' at galas to know that they'd reduce people to tears (and they had, on multiple occasions).
All of this to say, Bruce was horrified to learn that Clark had cursed his life with three more terrors who had made friends with his hellspawn. Now his manor was ground zero for even more shenanigans.
Turns out when many highly trained teenagers with a myriad of powers gathered together they caused mass destruction. He'd already bailed the Young Justice + the Kent kids out of jail six times and they were banned for life from every Olive Garden nationwide even AFTER a heavy 'tip' ( made at the begest Tim, Danny, and Bart. All three of whom were devastated when that didn't work.)
Bruce had started making a game out of pushing them onto whatever unsuspecting Justice League member was in the wrong place at the wrong time when they were in his care. Plastic Man had started diving through any avaliable opening when Batman walked by after getting caught six times.
But honestly as he sat with the Justice League watching them beat the ever-loving shit out of Ra's Al Ghul he felt a swell of pride for the group of kids who were coming into their own.
"Aren't they the cutest?" Clark asked as Sam curb stomped the man. The amount of side eyes he received from the rest of the League made Batman laugh out loud (read; quirk his lip).
"Hn"

Captain Marvel Adopts Superboy AU
I've been seeing more Connor and Dad Captain Marvel content and I want to add. I imagine it being Connor's first birthday and Captain Marvel wanting to throw the best birthday party ever! He talked to the Gods and got a full day in the gardens on Mount Olympus, he decorated, invited the entire Young Justice League, made the perfect cake himself, and got him a powerful artifact as his gift or maybe Conner's signature leather jacket with a lightning bolt stitched on the back! It was amazing and really fun but at the end of the day I see Captain Marvel becoming emotional about how fast Connor and everyone is growing up and crying a lot little.

Terribly Terrific - orphan_account - Batman - All Media Types [Archive of Our Own]
YES ✋🏽 just yes
-----------
Then the door opened, again. This time it was Jason who barged in, pushing past Batman. The League members, still on edge, went sheet white, realizing that even though Jason was his son, pushing the Dark Knight was a bold move. Jason couldn't care less though and headed straight to Wonder Woman, extending his hand for a shake. "Omds you're my hero !OmdsIloveyou!" he exclaimed, unabashedly fangirling.
Wonder Woman smiled as she took the squealing boy's hand. "Oh, seems your father's getting jealous." she teasingly remarked, he smile transforming into an impish grin.
"What for? Even he knows you're the best. He tells me himself." Jason responded.
They all turned to look at Bruce, who was frowning (and blushing???) while crossing his arms. "Hood." his voice was quieter than before and most of the edge was gone. "Let's go"
Jason, undeterred, insisted, "Nuh-uh. You're just gonna lock yourself up in your room again and cry about not getting closer to your friends."
Another blow to the team- the crazy revelations just kept on coming. And obviously, Jason saw this and took this as an opportunity to get more of a reaction from them "Yeah he's always beating himself up. Yknow. About not being able to express his love for you guys. He come's home crying every other day." Hood shook his head, tutting softly. "The poor man"
That was enough for Bruce to crumble. they were not meant to know about that. Why did he even have kids? 'The poor man' shoved his face into his hands, embarrassment now flooding his whole system. He was so sure he was about to explode with how hot his face was.
"You actually like us Batsy?" Flash, bless him, asked very softly
"If he didn't, I'm sure he wouldn't be in a team with us" Superman responded, since Batman wouldn't.
The League was catatonic. "Wow, this is more shocking than finding out you have sons." Oliver commented, the shock wearing off.
"And daughter" Cass piped in.
"Yeah I figured. You both have that cryptic Shadow weaver aura"
"So how many does that make?" Hal, finally recovered from nearly being killed by Batman asked.
Flash began to speak now "So there's Robin, Red Robin, Red Hood, Batgirl and I'm guessing Nightwing's yours too?" he turned to Batman, who was now hunched in a corner. What the hell?

"Yang and I didn't exactly get along at first. But now..."
Love how Blake says that like she and Yang weren't easily the most drift-compatible of all the partners in v1 besides maybe Renora. And the blushes?? hello???
