Never-before-published model sheets for canned Amblin Cats movie 🐈‍⬛✏️👁️

Hi all. As promised, I am sharing a comprehensive .PDF of model sheets that were created for the Amblimation Cats movie that never saw the light of day. Most of these model sheets have not been published or posted anywhere on the internet as far as I'm aware. I'm going to get ahead of some questions for the good of the order:

Are these real? I certainly didn't sit and create all 117 pages myself for the sake of an elaborate hoax!

How did you get these? I work in the animation industry. A senior coworker caught wind of my cats obsession and said he had the Xeroxes and asked if I wanted him to bring them in. Internally, I flipped my shit. And then I digitized his hard copies.

How did your coworker get these? They were found in the library of the university he used to go to. (Not super unusual at an arts school in southern California.) He made photo copies back then and has been holding onto them. The thing is he knows nothing about CATS; isn't a CATS fan, never seen it, etc. I guess he just felt it was something worth holding on to!

Can you upload better quality? Unfortunately what you're seeing as good as the quality gets. These are scans of photocopies from the 90s. There is nothing to be done for the crunchiness.

What about (missing characters)? I'm showing you everything I was personally given!

Which character is (nondescript drawing of a cat)? If the image isn't labeled, your guess is as good as mine! I put all the misc./unlabeled cats in the back of the PDF. The only exceptions are ones that I felt were abundantly obviously supposed to be a specific character.

Who are the artists? Unfortunately, there's no way I can tell for sure. None of the sheets are signed. I wouldn't even go about guessing because many concept artists can perfectly emulate more "well known" illustrators whose styles were sought after. My coworker said he might be able to figure out who the draftsmen were; until then it's a mystery! If I find out, I will come back to this post and update it with that information.

Are these all the model sheets ever? No! In fact, there are model sheets that have been posted online that are not in the bundle I was given. I have no idea of the sum total of model sheets in existence.

Bonding Over Hero Caretaking

(This is a little funny idea I had.) Mr. Lancer and Alfred are apart of an anonymous group that vents to each other about the hero's they keep an eye on so they don't end themselves by accident via something like not eating. Alfred finds what Lancer says concerning seeing as he hasn't heard B or the others comment on a hero described as Lancer has said. He talks to Barb about it but her AND Tim can't find out who Lancer is or where he is. Talks happen, Alfred starts talking to Lancer in private msgs at first as a way to get info but then he genuinely likes the talks. He decides that even after they find the unknown hero he's going to stay in contact with Lancer. Lancer just likes having a friend he can rant to about Danny without putting the teen in danger. Once they do find Amity they shut down the AECA and the GIW, they also offer Phantom a place in the YJ till he's old enough to join the JL. Throughout this Lancer and Alfred have kept in touch and Lancer even took trips to visit Alfred at times. One day, while out and about, Steph stumbles upon Alfred while he was making a Grocery run at a Cafe with Lancer. She stops by to say hi, only to be told by Alfred that while its lovely to see her, he's on a date. He kept the others out of her dates and he'd appreciate privacy for his, she leaves and immediately gossips with Cass since she wont tell anyone else till Alfred's date is over. Lancer x Alfred

I fell out of touch with this friend of mine and got back in touch with her. I call these times pre timeskip and post timeskip. I am convinced tim would fuck with the batfam talking about yj.

Baby’s first zine participation!! It was an absolute honour to be invited on as guest artist and been given the chance to work with some of the community’s most talented creatives in the @namingofcatszine ! This was definitely one of if not the most ambitious pieces I’ve ever attempted over the course of a few months in 2023 but I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and create something I can truly be proud of. Hey guys! I did these pages back on may but i realized i never shared them here! I cant thank u enough for all the love and support on the Cass and Maps pages, it really meant a lot and well i just thought you might enjoy these ones i did a couple months before! CATS!! I can't stop thinking about this musical and these characters! I keep trying to figure out how Id personally translate their designs for things like animation and/or comics. plenty of these I'm not 100% satisfied with and I'm sure they'll change but here's at least my first attempt for posterity. I feel like I drew SO many cats and yet there are SO many I have YET to draw OTL
