Riddle Rosehearts

It took a lot of convincing to get him to ditch his studies just to watch a movie with you, but you got him when you mentioned that the Queen of Hearts would be in it. So here you are, cuddling under a blanket in his room as you played the movie.

However, throughout the whole movie, you were commenting on how he acted exactly like the Queen of Hearts. Wasn’t that obvious already? Then you said that you were exactly like Alice because you found yourself in a strange world. And that’s how you got your nickname, my Alice.

Also, he can see why Trey, Ace, Deuce, and Cater could be seen as the card knights, as they are serving under Riddle’s rule. The whole dynamic with you being Alice fits well because you didn’t know any of the rules but Riddle kept accusing you of breaking them unfairly. He does apologize after, because this movie has made him see the error of his ways.

Leona Kingscholar

It did not take a lot of convincing when you said that you would be willing to cuddle him as long as he watched a movie with you. So, you grabbed some snacks and you got situated on Leona’s bed and you started playing the Lion King.

This man let a tear fall when Mufasa died, because it reminded him of his older brother, but he did like Scar’s line of Long Live the King. However, this soft moment with Leona was interrupted by you blowing into a tissue and telling him to never make his nephew leave or else you would leave him. 

But, he will admit that Ruggie did remind him of the hyenas in the movie. He laughed all the freaking time, he was willing to be at his beck and call, Leona legit would not be able to tell the difference. Plus, he was a hyena. However, it left him wondering about Jack. Where would he fit into this complicated equation?

Azul Ashengrotto

He had to be pulled away from work, so you said why not watch the Little Mermaid? So, you both went to his room and watched the movie there. If he was being honest, this was a great way for him to wind down. You were leaning onto his shoulder as you watched, and the moment was peaceful.

That was, until the Poor Unfortunate Souls scene came on. You turned down the volume and faced him, and told him that Ursula was beautiful and confident as she was, and you wanted to follow the wise words of SZA and get a big boy. Poor boy didn’t understand what you were saying, but he was happy to know that you loved him no matter what he looked like.

Flotsam and Jetsam definitely reminded him of Floyd and Jade. However, they were a tad creepier than the tweels, which was saying a lot. Ursula became his new idol, as she was almost powerful enough to overthrow King Triton. Unfortunately, she was defeated before that could happen.

Kalim Al-Asim

He was down to watch a movie right when you asked, however it was Jamil who you really needed to convince. So, you decided to just play it in the Lounge. You and Kalim were laying down in each other’s arms, while Jamil was playing as the third wheel.

When the Sultan and Jafar were introduced, you pointed to the screen and shouted that they were them. Your sudden exclamation surprised both of them, but Kalim could see the resemblance. Somehow, the same could not be said about the Vice Housewarden (he did see the correlation, but he did not want to acknowledge it).

Your boyfriend here absolutely loved the movie, and thought that the love story was quite adorable. A really flustering thought popped into his head when Jasmine and Aladdin got engaged because he would love to marry you one day. But, that day is far ahead.

Vil Schoenheit

Surprisingly, he was for the idea of finally unwinding from his stress as both a student, a Housewarden, and a movie star. So, he took off his makeup and you both were having a spa day as you put on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

But, he regretted saying yes when you pointed at the Evil Queen’s old hag form and asked him if he could transform into that. This man was hit with horrible PTSD, but I will not say anything more so I don’t spoil it too horribly. It keeps him lying awake at night, which is definitely not good for his beauty sleep.

Rook acts like the opposite of the hunter, and Vil refuses to think that Neige is like Snow White. In his story, his rival is the bad guy, and he won’t think about it any other way. However, he knows that he himself is not Snow White, but rather the Evil Queen. You don’t make it seem like that, though.

Idia Shroud

You both went on the Twisted Wonderland equivalent of Discord and agreed to watch a movie that you had somehow procured from your world. He was intrigued, so it was a virtual date. The movie started off great, and you both were sending DM’s that commented about it.

However, when Hades came into the scene, you messaged him and said you should be confident and funny like him. That sent his thoughts spiraling, and he was wondering if he had to change himself so that you would like him more. You caught onto this, though, and stated that you wouldn’t mind being his Persephone.

Hades made him laugh and snicker a few times, but he really did not like how he treated Pain and Panic. Most of all, he didn’t like how he treated Meg. Actually, she reminded him of you because you were often very sarcastic and sassy but also gorgeous. When he looked at you, he got the same feelings that Hercules had.

Malleus Draconia

You inviting him to something was definitely the highlight of his day, but he wasn’t familiar with movies. So, you agreed that you would meet up at night at your dorm so that you both could have some privacy. You propped up a school-supplied laptop onto the foot of the bed as you and Malleus sat against the headboard, and you played Sleeping Beauty.

When the curse that Maleficent placed on Aurora went into effect, you whispered to the dragon fae beside you and asked if he could place a sleeping curse on you because you don’t want to be awake to suffer through everyone’s bullshit. To be honest, he has thought about it because he hates how you’re constantly surrounded by multiple different men. Plus, the thought of being your true love and being the one to kiss you awake was very enticing.

The night ended with you both falling asleep within your bed, and Grim had to sleep on the couch. However, Malleus did wake up early so that he could get back to Diasomnia in time to not cause Sebek or Silver to panic. He had to deal with the painful feeling in his chest as he left you alone in your bed, but he placed a kiss on your forehead before departing.

Prompt: Only One Bed

“I know we just had to prove ourselves worthy to grace you with our gross herbivore presence, but now we have another issue.”

Leona snorted but otherwise pretended not to hear her. He used the excuse of being in the bathroom. Just like his sister-in-law, Yuu had no issues with continuing to nag him. “Do you think ignoring me will make the problem go away? I have enough experience to tell you life doesn’t work that way.”

Leona clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes towards the ceiling. When they drifted back down to the mirror, he caught the reflection of the prefect and her pet in the bedroom behind him. Grim circled in and out of the room from the balcony like he couldn’t get over the view of the dorm. The prefect stood at the foot of the bed with her hands propped on her hips and her gaze steadfastly fixed in the direction of the bathroom. Her brown eyes met his in the mirror without hesitation.

Leona quickly glanced away. Not because he was intimidated, but because he had inadvertently dropped the brush he held. Yes, that was his excuse.

“You’re the one who insisted on staying here,” Leona snapped. He tossed the brush onto the counter and prowled around the large bathroom. He moved out of the view of the mirror and tossed a towel onto the floor just because he felt like it.

“Now I see why your room is such a mess. I almost feel sorry for Ruggie having to clean up after you, but then I remember he benefits from it just as much as you do.”

Nagging—why were all women of every species such experienced naggers? “If you have a problem, why don’t you go room with the puppy?”

“I’d prefer Jack, but you know why that isn’t possible.”

Leona huffed, but he didn’t argue on the point. He did understand why. He might have made her fight to earn the right to room with him while Azul manipulated his contracts, but he had known letting her room anywhere else in the dorm wasn’t an option. He’d heard the whispers circulating the dorm as more and more students realized the prefect was a girl in disguise.

He was quick to put those other boys in their places, especially when the whispers made even his stomach churn.

Ruggie’s snickers reminded Leona of the hyena’s presence outside the bathroom. “You three have fun figuring that all out. I’ll be back to see who still alive in the morning. Shyeheehee.”

Leona’s ears flicked when Jack mumbled a farewell too. He heard the obvious click of the bedroom door. Soft shuffling signaled the prefect and Grim moving around his room. Leona fiddled with the tubes and containers he found on the sink counter. His nose wrinkled when he picked up one container. Why the hell had Ruggie bought him a warthog scented candle?

“If you’re planning on spending the night in your bathtub, then I guess our problem isn’t as big as I thought it was.”

Leona grumbled and tossed the offensive smelling candle into the wastebasket. He sighed when he caught the prefect still glowering at him in the mirror. Clicking his tongue again, Leona ambled out of the bathroom. He tipped his chin back and scowled down at the prefect. “You should learn to show some gratitude. I could’ve sent you straight back to your dorm to deal with Azul’s lackeys.”

Yuu’s chin tipped back to meet his gaze. His eyes narrowed. Did she think she could intimidate him? He might—on occasion—bow to his sister-in-law's nagging just to get her off his back, but he certainly wasn’t about to do the same for a little herbivore.

The prefect tipped her head without breaking his gaze. “I’m sorry. You’re right. I should have thanked you. Your benevolence is second only to Azul’s. After all, had you not given me—a magicless little girl with only her monster companion—the opportunity to fight a group of thugs who used magic more than their fists, I would not only be sleeping in front of the statues on Main Street tonight.” Yuu paused to show him the bandage wrapped around her elbow. “I would also have never earned this new battle scar.”

Leona rolled his eyes towards the ceiling. “Battle scar? It was barely a scrape. You wouldn’t even have that bandage if Howl hadn’t been so dramatic about an infection.”

What he didn’t say was that he was actually impressed by their victory. Yuu had an almost uncanny instinct when it came to dodging magical attacks, not to mention the dexterity to perform the dodges. Grim’s offense was grudgingly impressive too, but his lack of focus would be his downfall. If Yuu hadn’t snapped at him to focus on one boy before moving to the next, they wouldn’t have won the duel. Leona hadn’t given them any handicaps either. Two of the boys were sophomores and the other a junior, meaning they had more experience than the average freshman when it came to a magical duel.

None of which he was about to admit to her.

“The point is that my scar has made me an official badass.” Yuu pointed at the bedding Jack had thrown down in the corner of the room. “As a badass, I refuse to sleep on the floor.”

Leona pointed at the couch sitting in front of the balcony. “Then take the sofa.”

“That sofa is barely long enough to fit Grim. Do you want me to suffer a hunchback?”

“It would add to your badass image.”

“It would also hinder me as I run around campus cleaning up all of your messes.”

Leona snorted. He ambled across the room to stand on the opposite side of the bed from Yuu. He relaxed his posture, and while he didn’t exactly match hers—hands on her hips and chin held high—he made it clear he wasn’t backing down. “My messes? Last I checked, you’re in this situation because your own little friends made a mess, and then you decided to throw yourself into the fire.”

“And as punishment, I frequently remind my friends of their bad decisions. Grim?” Grim made a noise from the balcony. “The sea anemone on your head makes you look dumb. Like a midget unicorn but without the badass part.”

Leona bit the inside of his cheek to keep from smirking at Grim’s howling displeasure. He took the prefect’s distraction as an opportunity to flop down into the center of his bed. He put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. “Your problems aren’t mine. Just be grateful I’ve given you a place to stay.”

He was on the very edge of sleep when Yuu chimed, “You know, Cheka wouldn’t be very happy to hear his uncle made his fiancé sleep on the floor.”

Leona cracked open one eye. The prefect still hovered next to the bed, her eyes now wide to mimic some type of innocence. His tail agitatedly flicked to the side. “Seriously? You’re trying to play that card again? The brat has no idea about what he writes in his letters. I doubt he even knows what the word fiancé means.”

“Sade says she’s very excited to one day welcome me into your family.”

Leona’s tail flicked harder. Of course, his sister-in-law was communicating with the prefect too. Sade had probably adopted the girl already. She probably told the prefect to make his school life even more inconvenient too.

“I wonder what she would say about you making me sleep on the floor now,” Yuu continued. She did a little spin and took one step in the direction of the bedding on the floor. “How very uncouth for the son of a king. Making a poor little girl sleep on the hard floor while he sprawls across a bed that could easily fit three people his size. And her son is being so heavily influenced by such a role model? I’m sure she’ll be absolutely thankful when I tell her—.”

With a tiny growl, Leona rolled over to lay on the edge of the bed. He took one of his pillows and plopped it down in the middle of the bed. He turned his back to her and glared out at the balcony. “Stay on your side of the bed.”

Yuu hummed with satisfaction. Leona’s ears flicked as he listened to her drag the blankets and pillows over to the bed. His tail twitched when the mattress jostled to accommodate the new weight beside him. After the prefect called for Grim to join her, Leona made a point of reaching for the light switch on the wall next to his bed. His two temporary roommates continued to wiggle and mutter in the dark. He didn’t close his eyes until the wiggling and mumbling stopped and Grim’s snores started.

“Leona?” Leona emitted a tiny growl. He was starting to question ever entertaining Jack on the prefect’s current living conditions. “Thanks. For real this time. You’re not that bad when you’re not throwing a temper tantrum.”

Leona grabbed one of the pillows beneath his head and whipped it behind him. Yuu yipped when the pillow connected. Leona tucked the pillow back into place and ignored Grim’s yowls about being caught up in “their feud.” “Shut up already and let me sleep.”

Yuu couldn’t stand him having the last word, so she threw one of her pillows at him. More wiggling ensued, and Grim mumbled his complaints before his snores started again. Leona closed his eyes, but for once, sleep didn’t immediately come to him. His ears flicked in the prefect’s direction.

With a quiet huff, he carefully shifted onto his back. With the help of the soft moonlight drifting in through the open windows, Leona could easily see Yuu quietly staring up at the ceiling. Grim slept curled up on her chest, and her breathing had slowed to match the monster’s, though it still wasn’t enough to simulate a natural sleep.

Leona dragged a hand through his hair, his fingers encountering a flicking ear. “If you weren’t planning on sleeping, then what was the point of fighting over the bed?”

“I just wanted to see if Sade was right,” Yuu answered without hesitation. She kept her voice barely above a whisper. “Apparently, you’ve never told her no.”

“Because if I ever did, she wouldn’t stop nagging me.”

“I think deep down, you’re just a big cuddly kitten.”

Leona clicked his tongue. His tail flicked across the pillow barrier between them. “A big cuddly kitten? You have no sense of self-preservation, do you?”

“Well, I could’ve attempted stabbing Floyd in the eye with a pencil and kicking Jade in the shin, but a tiny voice in the back of my head reminded me I didn’t necessarily want to leave the campus the same way I arrived.”

Leona snorted to cover an aborted chuckle. He obnoxiously yawned. His tail flicked back and forth from his side to hers. “How do you expect me to get a decent night’s sleep while sleeping next to a mouth breather?”

“Sorry, but I’m still mastering the art of breathing through my ears.”

Leona flicked his tail hard enough to brush against her arm. “Smartass.”

“Better than being a dumbass, but mediocre compared to badass.” She fell silent, but her shuffling made Leona’s ears flick. Her quiet sigh was inevitable. “Sorry. Aside from the change in scenery, I tend to have a hard time falling asleep most nights. I don’t actually mind sleeping on the ground if it’s too disruptive for you.”

The desire to snap at her to do just that died on his tongue the moment he imagined the disappointed glare from his sister-in-law. With a loud sigh, Leona rolled off the edge of the bed. He clicked on the small lamp on his desk. He glowered down at the bed. Yuu squinted back at him, Grim now tucked up against her hip. Leona made a show of kicking out the chair beneath his desk and flopped into it. The prefect leaned up just enough to keep squinting at him from above the pillows.

He shoved the chessboard on his desk towards the corner closest to the bed. He arranged the black and white chess pieces on their respective sides. “You prefer white or black?”

Yuu didn’t miss a beat when she climbed over the pillow barrier to sit on the edge of the bed. She twirled the board around, so the black pieces were on her side. “Do you normally give people the option?”

“It’s a courtesy,” Leona drawled. He slouched into his chair and balanced his elbow on the desk to give his cheek a resting place on his knuckles. “A show of good sportsmanship.”

Yuu snorted. She twirled the board again to regain possession of the white pieces. “Because you're so good at showing sportsmanship-like behavior.”

“I’m not above kicking you out of the bed if you annoy me too much.”

Yuu hummed. She spun the board a few times before letting it rest at an angle where both sides were somehow equally stuck between them. Her head slightly tilted. “I don’t know how to play chess.”

Leona released a loud sigh. He pushed the corner of the board until he gained possession of the white pieces. His ears flicked when he picked up the faint noise of the rowdier students trickling in from the dorms below. “Watch closely then because I’m not about to have a three-hour tutor session with you.”

They were on their fourth game when Yuu began picking up how each piece moved, which wasn’t too bad since each game only took Leona four moves to win. He still beat her with the same four moves for the next three games, but her frustration over him casually checkmating her king made her a quick learner. The next time they reset the board, she moved her knight to intersect his opening pawn. He still won, but she at least lasted three more moves.

By the time Yuu began to yawn in earnest, Leona was begrudgingly enjoying himself. She had become braver with her queen and had attempted several times to use it like some martyr-like sacrifice to somehow checkmate his king. Her strategies were laughable as a beginner, but they were just odd enough to make her less predictable than a veteran. She’d come close to checkmating him once but hadn’t even realized it. He wasn’t about to casually offer her the information either.

On her next turn, she stared at the board long enough with drooping eyelids that Leona couldn’t help saying, “Just give me your king, so we can go to sleep.”

Her eyes snapped up to his. The soft light of the lamp made the golden freckles hidden in her brown irises flicker. “Never.”

Leona firmly checkmated her in the next two moves. She squinted down at the board while he fluidly stood. He reached above his head in a long stretch. “You’re done. Now get on your side so I can finally sleep.”

Yuu huffed, but she complied with his demand with minimum fuss. Leona watched her stretch out on her side of the pillow barrier without bothering Grim, who had somehow wiggled his way down to the foot of the bed. She snuggled up under the extra blanket until only her nose was visible. Her posture, even hidden under the blanket, was much more relaxed than it had been earlier, and her annoying mouth breathing didn’t sound as obnoxious.

Leona quickly flopped onto the bed when he realized he had been staring too long.

“Good night,” Yuu yawned. Her voice was muffled because of the blanket, but he easily detected the slurred cadence of her words like she was already on the verge of sleep. “Chess’s s’more tiring than walking ‘round the campus. You’ll have to play me again. ‘Cause I’m gonna get good ‘nough to beat you.”

Leona snorted and clicked off the lamp. A comfortably dry breeze from the window loosened the suddenly stifling air in the room. “We’ll see about that.”

“Gonna take your queen.”

“It’s the king you have to checkmate.” Leona waited for her snarky comment. He peeked over the pillow when none came. Yuu slept curled on her side facing him. Her mouth was parted, and a gentle snore escaped with each breath she took. Leona huffed and dropped his head on the pillow. He closed his eyes. “Annoying little mouth breather.”

He wouldn’t admit to waking up once in the middle of the night when he couldn’t detect her snoring. He huffed in mild amusement when he found she had somehow flipped herself around and had her face buried in Grim’s belly. He flopped back onto his pillow and didn’t wake up again he until heard Ruggie whining about morning practice.

I snuck in a lil treat of my work in progress housewarden card. The jumpscare it was to toggle my version with the og card underneath, y'all. Am I making my version of pretty much all his cards? Yes. Will they ever be finished? Who knows? Anyways, onto the headcanons...

- Physically, I feel like I changed a lot and not a lot at the same time. I gave him some more scars which I guarantee you are from really stupid accidents.

- Piercing on his ears just cause I felt they fit him and snakebites because (I'm so down bad for them) it gave the illusion of fangs even with his mouth closed. Gave him moles cause they're pretty.

- I textured his hair and gave him a shit ton more because if the og design won't AT LEAST give him fluffier hair, what's the point? Yana Toboso, if you don't give this man a high ponytail in the Clubwear Card, I will hunt you down. Also made his front, larger braids the colour of Cheka's (And presumably Farena's) hair because honestly? They didn't really look similar enough? Also threw in some smaller braid to 'tie' them in more (haha).

- Someone gave him like this cool inverted pupil due to a scene in the movie but I simplified it to basically heterochromia.

- This might be hardly noticeable but I give give him slightly more muscle? I felt it suited him more idk.

- Onto non-physical headcanons, he has 💕depression💕! This is kinda not up for debate given how much he exemplifies the symptoms. Hell, he made me realise that I may have depression cause I was like, "Damn, he's so relatable, not wanting to get out of bed, no motivation to do anything, struggling to care of himself. He just like me frfr- oh..."

- By the way, I see a lot of people talking about Ruggie's reaction to the fallout of Book 2 but I think that on Leona's side, he felt horrible and probably locked himself away for a WHILE. I think his mental state must have been terrible and I'm SO PISSED HIS FCKING PROBLEMS NEVER GOT BROUGHT AGAIN WTF! Well, I'm on Book 4 so maybe???

- Anyways, I saw someone posit he could also be autistic, more on the asymptomatic side which is actually growing on me a lot. Picky eater, doesn't like tighter clothes, not fond of loud noises, smaller things but I'm a fan.

- Really random but I like the idea that he's one of those people who kids love for literally no reason, he just doesn't like to be around them.

- Is actually extremely book smart, though that's kinda already canon but I mean this bitch was a nerd when he was younger. Knows way too much on various topics, especially about his homeland.

- He can purr. I know lion's can't but there are literal mer and fae. He's just a big kitty. My and Idia like 🤞 when it comes to thinking of Leona as just a big meow. I have a cat who doesn't like anyone but I'm her favourite, I could win him over.

- Ah, I made a reference in the Heartslabyul post about my concern about darker skinned characters with white hair and I was mainly talking about Jack. I also had to make Kiki, and I figured that wolves have pretty naturally salt-and-pepper hair, so why not. I actually love how it looks omg, it's very pretty and marbled.

- Gave him darker skin, since I headcanon him as black but I did see someone who designed him as indigenous so it might change in the future idk. Also it makes his eyes almost glow and I love that for him.

- He gets more scars too, though likely from sports rather than fights or anything.

- He's autistic. Apologies that so many of them are autistic to me, not only am I autistic but like, the way they're written speaks to me. His whole moral compass being the reason for Book 2 playing out like it did was an immediate 'yes' from me. He's my boy and my son and I will fistfight anyone that smack talks him (looking at those Savannaclaw NPCs in one of Deuce's vignettes).

- Oh, I forgot. He listens to K-Pop. I don't know if it?s canon that he has younger siblings, though I totally think he does, but one of them accidentally got him into K-Pop and J-Pop so whenever he's at the gym, that's what he's listening to lmao. Specifically girl groups, he likes them enough that he knows all their names. He insists it's out of respect, which it is but he's also lowkey a stan too lol.

- Generally has a weakness for cute things, even if he doesn't show it. Also a total plant nerd omg. He could instruct you on pretty much any houseplant on how much sunlight and water it needs, seasonal changes, etc.

- Twisted from Rafiki? I think that's his name, the baboon. I'm crying sobbing throwing up that you can't see her eyes in this.

- She got the white hair since the fur on a baboon is directly white and took inspiration from Dislyte's Isis design. Her eyes are a pale gold like her earrings and she has red to blue eye shadow.

- Natural resting bitch face but she's just tired most of the time. She'd probably be the actual vice housewarden as I think her family has been close to Leona's for a long time, though she earned her spot with her own skills.

- Additionally, I wouldn't call her and Leona 'childhood friends' but she's known him for a long time. She's like, concerned about him as he's changed so much but she also worries that it's not her place. As a result, she tries to make sure Ruggie's not taking on too much and handles most of the dormhead duties herself.

- I think she and Jack would be relatively similar in terms of personality, I see her being the gruffer upperclassmen. I think she'd be rather protective of the first years, knowing how harsh the older dorm members can be and she does her best to make everyone feel welcome.

- That being said, she's more than capable of defending herself as she's good at various martial arts.

- She's into rock music and joined the music club as a result. Probably a drummer or guitarist as I think she's insecure about her voice.

- She and Mandisa are quite close and she convinced them to dye the edges of her hair red. Abayomi wanted touch up hers and managed to get Mandisa in on to lol.

He's got some Kenya in him but he also got some white genes. Geography wise I believe he is also part Arab since there are Arab countries in Africa. So therefore I believe he is white, black, and Arab.

From what I remember Jack is from the same country as Vil? So, I believe Jack is part black, but also part European. It also isn't explicitly stated what movie he is from we just know he is a wolf.

I googled Coral Sea locations and I came to these conclusions.

There are different Coral reefs going from Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and Maldives. With the Twins I thought how funny would it be to make them Australian, but Filipino just kind of felt right like a gut feeling. The Carribean sea also has coral reefs so I made Azul Cuban. I was going to make him Venezuelan however I ended up going with Cuban, but I feel like both fit him in a way.

(If you want to feel free to Google the Sami people there's a lot to learn about them and it's really interesting. There was basically a bunch of policies put in place to kill them and mistreat them it's really sad)

So in short Epel is Sami Indigenous (If I'm correct he's the first Indigenous character we got so far which is nice representation) (I also hope my research was correct please correct me if not)

Based on where Hercules takes place and because Hades is quite literally Greek Mythology he is Greek.

I also think Falena might not be all that either. There's an episode in the lion king talking (singing?) about Scar's past and I can clearly see that Mufasa was at fault for what happened (I mean the other lion and Scar's actions were wrong too but Mufasa was kind of like the trigger)

It made me really frustrated with how everyone blames the villains and never the heros. The same thing in the live action of Alice in Wonderland as the white queen was totally responsible for how her sister ended up and yet she even hesitated to apologise to the red queen at the scebe were they were taken to the sisters' past

NAH, OKAY LETS BE FOR REAL. This event I'm hearing about (only hearing about because it's only on the Japanese server right now so maybe everything I hear isn't true now keep that in mind), is making me rethink a lot of things about Leona. Long rant below.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm low-key hyped to finally see Falena (he better have a good amount of melanin, I swear to god), I'm personally hoping he's a bit of a himbo but I realize that probably won't happen. Anyways, I've been hearing a lot of theories from people who are able to play the new event. Here are a few that I really want to believe so I'm choosing to believe until proven wrong:

I saw some people upset that when we finally got a Savanaclaw event, Leona and Jack were in it, but not Ruggie. I thought it was a little strange, until I saw someone suggest this: What if the reason Ruggie didn't come, is because Leona knows that Ruggie probably doesn't like the royal family due to how they rule the country and forget his people, the hyenas? That makes complete and total sense to me. I'll come back to this point in a second.

If you analyze Lion King lore, apparently Scar was often regarded as a weak and sickly lion and was thus not fit for even hunting. So he was kind of seen as useless, no matter how much he tried. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar dynamic with Leona being disliked for not being as strong as his elder brother Falena. Which is messed up, because there's more to a person than just physical strengths.

Apparently in the new event, Leona mentions how he wants to use his fourth year at NRC to look into technology that might be used to improve the lives of people in his country. Which speaks VOLUMES. Especially when it's also mentioned that Falena, the current king, thinks the opposite. He thinks people should be focused on connecting with nature again. This brings me back to point one. I think the people Leona wants to help are those most in need, aka the hyenas, but as a second prince never listened to, he has no power to help with this. And maybe that used to torment him a lot and might've been a role in his overblot. Please tell me, is Falena even concerned for the hyenas? I seriously think he doesn't even care for them. In fact, I wouldn't even be surprised if Falena doesn't really approve of Leona and Ruggie's friendship.

As for Alice in Wonderland, I didn't even like the White Queen in the first one. Turns out my dislike towards her was totally valid. Like, if the White Queen had just told the truth the Red Queen would've never gotten that head injury, countless people wouldn't have died, they never would've had that huge conflict and war. You're telling me that after watching her sister get tormented, become kinda crazy, all this due to her mistake, and she never said a word? She never even apologized? Nah, be for real. The White Queen was so wrong for that. I totally get why the Red Queen was angry, because her sister's lie literally ruined her life.

Ruggie headcanons

I have too many and was asked to share

starting with appearance:

I believe ruggie is way more tan than his canon design, with him doing jobs a lot as well as me thinking he goes out to play and entertain the kids on his neighbourhood (he cares for them a lot and brings them trinkets he stole)

Because of the jobs and everything he does around in the slums, he has a bit of muscle. But he is fairly skinny, during nrc is when he started to gain more weight.

He also has quite a bit of moles on him.. scattered around everywhere but you can also see a few on his face and around his collar bones.

Along with the moles he as well has quite a bit of scars that can range from the dangerous things he’s done for jobs or just in general, to stupid things like him once falling and eating shit while skateboarding on a board he found and taped back together. Most of them are on his hands but you can find a lot littered around on him, I think he has a lot of scars on his hands for a lot of reasons, one of them is because of his cooking.

He makes little mistakes but when he was younger his grandma was always there to help him and patch it up.

I also think he has a lot of body hair, mostly on his arms and legs. To him it’s just “if it already grows there why bother? it doesn’t get in my way.” He likely had a bit more than humans do because he is a hyena beastman, he might shave his face a little but other than that he just leaves it.

His actual hair style to me is more unevenly cut, and more longer (maybe a shag) something that he can move out the way when he needs to. His hair became more uneven and choppy when he enrolled in nrc because before that his grandma would cut it for him. Because of his enrolment and him leaving for months at a time she taught him as well. He is the best at it but leona tries to help him out, jack is just there for moral support.

But his usual appearance when he’s out and about at school, he try’s to look more put together just to make good impressions but other than that he has a comfy style with clothes he’s found (stole) over the years and from leona. His clothes can look very baggy and big on him but he makes it work.

As long as it’s practical, easy to move in and makes him look good. He’s content.

Because of all the jobs and things he’s had to do, he must’ve gotten injured quite easily. I think he gets pain in areas that he has repeatedly injured before out of the blue, usually it is a constant and he still continues to work and push through it. Later in his nrc years savanaclaw has made it a point to watch out for him if he looks like he’s struggling and urge him to take breaks as to not over exert himself.

Book 2 spoilers:

After leona’s OB, the arm to which leona’s UM was used left scars and a constant pain that added onto the pain that was already there.

Miscellaneous hcs:

While typically he usually only cooks for himself unless he has to, if he’s feeling really nice and he likes you he might make y’a some food as a present (as long as he can take some of it back with him)

I think because of all the people he’s talked to for jobs and stuff, he’s picked up a bunch of different phrases in different languages. While he’s not fluent in most he can say the basics and phrases to help and benefit him. I think he can speak french and spanish fairly well, he’s not fluent but he can hold a conversation

hes fairly good with kids, hell he’s great with kids as long as you pay him. But he grew up playing with and taking care of the neighbourhood kids, i think the kids also really like ruggie and get excited whenever he’s back from nrc. (He always makes sure to bring back trinkets he stole for them)

Him and Jamil cook together sometimes, it may not be the same dish but it’s nice to just be in the same room. Occasionally there’s some light conversation while they work on their own thing but it’s mostly a comfortable silence, maybe using each other as a taste tester before they pack up to go.

Leona Kingscholar:

Leona - Very obviously comes from the word lion. I can't really find anything behavioral to draw from this name besides the fact he's lazy like a male lion on a sunny day.

Kingscholar - Very big references to Scar here, since he was a king, and scholar is similar to Scar. For Leona, I'd say it's because he's the second-born, and therefore almost king, and he's pretty smart besides how he acts, giving the "scholar" part of the name.

Ruggie Bucchi:

Ruggie - It literally comes from how he grew up, but can also be seen as how the hyenas he's based off of lived.

Bucchi - In Japanese, Buchi is the name of the spotted hyena, the type of hyena Ruggie both is and is based off of.

Jack Howl:

Jack - .... Honestly? No freaking clue. (after doing some research) The wiki says the name could be based off the author of White Fang, a movie that Walt Disney made a live-action film out of. (after some more research) Actually, that'd be pretty cool, since Jack is a wolf and White Fang is literally about a wolf.

Howl - Obvious for a last name for a wolf, but I can't think of anything behavioral wise.

One of my favourite twst fanfics has the premise of the dorm leaders competing for the affections of an oblivious Yuu. In Leona’s chapter, Leona kept bringing fresh meat (as in live animals lol) for food to Yuu as a part of his courting ritual. (He gave her a rabbit once and she made it a pet called Mr. Rabbit Rosetarts after Riddle)

Ruggie was the one who pointed out to him that Yuu wouldn’t understand what beastman rituals were. Now, Leona’s mad that Simba and Nala have been giving him the wrong advice. Also, could you imagine that Leona was also bringing meat to a vegetarian Mc (that wouldn’t fly with my mc).

YES! YES! YES!

Yuu has been through hell and back in this world so she deserves to have handsome boys simping over her and having every single Disney animated character adopt her as a daughter/sister/niece.

When I was first brainstorming this AU I had this scene in my head where Ruggie and Jack were visiting her at her job and she notes to them how strange Leona is acting recently. When asked to elaborate she basically lists every single way male lions court females (at least the ones that would make sense. Let me make it clear that in no way, shape or form does Leona ever urinate on anything that isn't a commode) and Ruggie, Jack and practically every single animal is incredibly amused at how oblivious she is. I mean, practically all big cats have similar mating rituals like head rubbing/nuzzling so I can imagine Bagheera and Shere Khan just shaking their heads and chuckling at how adorably confused Yuu is when Ruggie just starts hyena cackling.

(why can't other cats nuzzle heads to show affection. The only time my cat comes near my head it's to eat my hair and yes she does it often)

Yuu is getting concerned with how hard Ruggie's laughing that she doesn't even catch his "holy seven, he's scenting her - he's shishi trying shi to shi cour-court shishishi" in between laughs as Jack can't tell whether to smile or also be concerned because Ruggie has been laughing really hard for a really long time, doesn't he need oxygen?

Yuu's just confused like 'why are you laughing? do you understand what's happening? is it a lion thing?'

Jack is like 'well-' before Ruggie covers his mouth and says 'yeah it's a lion thing' before offering no other explanation even when Yuu begs him to tell her because what if he's like sick.

He is sick, Yuu. He's incredibly love sick. He's also got a case of basorexia if you catch my drift.

Ruggie's just like 'when you get it, you get it' and so she just continues on with her work.

Don't think Simba and Nala are the only lions in the club giving bad advice. The OG LeonaYuu shipper, the icon himself, Scar is there plotting ways to get Leona together with Yuu. Only his strategic prowess usually leans more towards fratricide than it does romance.

In my head, I don't think Leona thinks Simba and Nala's advice was bad because he was raised to believe that lion courting rituals are the way to woo any female since it works for everyone in his family. He just thinks Yuu is too dense to understand what he's doing (I mean, she is)

I don't think Leona would give Yuu meat if she's a vegetarian whether he's romantically interested in her or not. It has nothing to do with respecting women - it's just a decent thing to do. He's very intelligent so he'd definitely know for sure that she doesn't eat meat even if she doesn't tell him. So we don't have to worry about that happening.

I also had this in mind from Yuu misunderstanding a blatant flirting attempt from Leona before she gets called away to another room:

"Of all the herbivores I had to fall for, it had to be her," Leona groaned, lifting his head from his crossed arms on the table to glare at the way Ruggie, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed were outright cackling at his frustration, "why can't she get it through her thick skull that I'm trying to court her?"

"Maybe because you're trying to attract her like she's a lioness," Ruggie stated, wiping a tear from his eye, "In case you didn't notice, boss, she isn't one."

"I know that," Leona griped, "she's nothing like the lionesses in my pride. She's ten times the lion I've ever met. I just don't get how she can be so-so-"

"Dumb?" Ruggie offered.

"Hey," Jack frowned at his upperclassman along with several other patrons who felt displeasure at the insult towards their beloved waitress, "she's a top student."

"You can get 100 percent in an exam and still be dumb."

"Well Yuu isn't," Jack crossed his arms, "she's one of the smartest people I know."

This is gonna be long bare with me, So for context this annon is requesting a part two of my fic where reader surprises the TWST boys by speaking their native tongue and I reallyyy wanna write this but I have a few issues especially with the Savannah claw boys.

The issues are:

1. Ruggie and Leona are twisted of the hyenas and Scar from Lion king, and Lion king was set in the pride lands of Africa, which is where sunset savanna is twisted from. I’ve done a bit of researching and there are over 2000-3000 estimated languages spoke in the country of Africa, although there 5 main languages spoken (Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and Zulu) I still don’t know which one I should use and I’d like to clarify that I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SPEAK ANY OF THESE LANGUAGES so I am very careful not to write without consulting someone who speaks the language(s) fluently.

2. Jack Howl, we all know that he maybe twisted from Jack London’s “White Fang” novel, which featured a white wild wolfdog, I did my research yet again, and these animals are found in Europe and North America, so I’m yet again confused with what language Jack speaks…

I’ve said this in the first fic, and this one, but I will say it again, I am not fluent nor do I even know how to speak these languages, When I wrote the first part, I had assistance from people who spoke the language fluently, and I’m very thankful for them, however in this request I do not know anyone who speaks any of the languages in Africa, European, or even Italian. I want to write it but my top priority is being careful of not disrespecting other people’s cultures and languages. I am writer and I want to make my work as respectful and as comfortable for everyone to read even if it’s just a fanfic.

Wait…is MC supposed to be the hero in all the Disney movies that the dorms’ villains are from?? I was thinking about how Jamil is supposed to be like Jafar from Aladdin, and I had assumed that Kalim must be Aladdin but I thought about it and realized he’s not. Kalim was a pampered child and he gets hypnotized by Jamil, which would actually make him the sultan. Which makes me think that MC is actually Aladdin because MC brings about Jamil’s downfall. In Book 1, MC is the only one who could be Alice because Riddle is obviously the Queen of Hearts and the rest of the Heartslabyul boys are card soldiers (unless you want to argue that Trey is the King of Hearts, but that’s not the point). In Book 2, Leona is Scar and Ruggie represents all of the hyena underlings. I’m not sure where Jack fits in, but for the most part he stays neutral and MC is the one confronting Leona. In Book 3, Azul is Ursula and Jade and Floyd are Flotsam and Jetsam and MC ends up having to make a contract with Azul. Is this supposed to be obvious??? Am I dumb??? Is MC Alice, Simba, Arielle, Aladdin, etc.??? Am I squinting to hard??? The only part that doesn’t add up is that Cheka should be Simba going by Leona’s family tree. Also Prince Rielé canonically exists.

I’ll be discussing some of my favorite perspectives on each of Night Raven College’s seven dorms and/or their chapters. If I sound like I’m using “fighting words”, it’s not my purpose to roast or insult any characters (I just like reading my own words). A lot of these may also tie into the deadly sin their Overblotters embody. Be forewarned that there will be Chapter 7 spoilers and more in this entry.

Heartslabyul - Rush the Roses Red

For why Heartslabyul marks our first chapter, I’ll get the obvious explanations out of the way first: We know both the game’s title and which dorm’s based on Wonderland itself. Not surprisingly, we get Ace and Deuce as joint tritagonists even before Chapter 1 starts. Additionally, the Queen of Hearts’ role in Alice was relatively short, so it’s easy to see why Heartslabyul would get the shortest hence first chapter in the game. But what I really want to go into is Riddle Rosehearts.

We now know that Chapter 1 is earlier than the writers had planned to explain Blot, but they still use so many puddle scenes to keep us in anticipation. And who better to use than Riddle, the irritable teapot despot? If I’m not mistaken, there were more Blot sightings in Chapter 1 than any other, not to mention how soon we would fight his Overblot. As Chapter 6 would confirm, Riddle easily produces Blot because of both his temperament and his exhaustive use of magic. In short, because Riddle's so quick to anger, he's also quick to OB, which is why he's up first.

Savanaclaw - Pawn Promotion

“If you intend to stay in this dorm, there is but one rule you have to follow. Obey me.” —Leona Kingscholar

What makes Leona so effortlessly charismatic is not only his strength and skills, but more importantly, how he strategically instructs his underlings just like a game of chess (in good faith to Scar’s campaign). As long as his leadership guides his team where needed, Leona can always get away with slacking himself; even the Spelldrive Club attests to this. But the clearest example is in Chapter 2, go figure.

For starters, Leona doesn’t have a high opinion of Ruggie’s UM, yet he invests a great deal into the hyena. Leona turns Ruggie into a serial “assassin” who successfully injures so many potential competitors, including even some vice housewardens. He even gets Ruggie a UM buff to carry a stadium’s worth of people. (When I first saw Chapter 2, I even wondered if Ruggie would be the one to OB instead, tbh.) 

As efficient as Leona’s tactics usually are, however, the king himself barely moves a square. When cornered, Leona just drops the ball on his plans, yet Overblots when pressed further. Still, as lazy as Leona is, stepping too close to the king is dangerous for both parties, but on this occasion, he doesn’t bring home a “checkmate”.

Octavinelle - Inciting the Impoverished

In order to make my point about Octavinelle, or at least Azul, I’ll also have to make this about “us”, or the MC. In Chapter 3, we are both Azul’s foil and a testament to his avarice. It’s harrowing enough for the MC that we’re isekai’d into TW with zero superpowers, but now our closest friends are “un-maged” and we lose our only shelter for trying to save them. In the end, we’re left with… Jack—whoescortsintolion’sdenandfindsushelp!! 

(…Ahem.) So for once the villain’s challenging the MC, our stakes are direct, and we have to explore options ourselves to protect our livelihood. In fact, this is the only chapter so far where the MC proactively contributes to the story. And although we still need help from reluctant allies, we ultimately come up with a solution that foils Azul’s plans completely.

So why is this significant to Tako Bell? Because the MC embodies everything that Azul’s afraid of becoming: a “nothing”. Azul attributes his own self worth to his possessions, but after his greed reaches the MC and pushes us into survival mode, Azul gets outwitted by someone so empty-handed. In contrast to the MC, none of Azul’s many gifts could prevent Leona from destroying his prized contracts. When Azul is reduced to desperation, even his most trusted Leech Bros. turn on him; at that point, not even Azul’s OB would save him from defeat. Justice couldn’t be more poetic in this chapter.

“Sorry, Azul. You’re just not as dastardly a villain as ___ is.” —Leona

Scarabia - Veiled Venom

At this point, Jamil is notorious for “acting mid” to hide his charts, no small thanks to social hierarchy. But TW does even more to hide our dragons; remember the housewarden greetings? Unlike other dorms, if you’re sorted into Scarabia, Kalim gives you a nice warm welcome describing only the perks of your medicine; no indication of side effects whatsoever. He’s not here to lie, but Kalim’s hospitality masks Scarabia’s fangs as effectively as Jamil’s cookings lure prey. 

And then there’s the timing of Chapter 4; as if to keep most of the student body in the dark from Jamil’s potential, Scarabia’s story takes place in the middle of winter break (go figure, the usual tritagonists are off-campus too). As a result, only a relative few are around to witness the first vice warden OB this year.

“Mediocre, nothing. He's easily one of the top magicians in the entire school, to say nothing of Scarabia!” —Azul

But while Jamil is sold as a dark horse and established as Scarabia’s true face, we owe Kalim another look. As carefree as he is, Kalim’s potential is also a crouching tiger. He was able to surprise the Octavinelle guests twice, with a heart strong enough to deflect Jade’s truth serum and an abundantly resourceful UM for the sea creatures to use (ntm Azul’s potential cash cow). Yet, Jamil belittles Kalim the same way he himself dreads and it becomes his undoing in Chapter 4.

Pomefiore - Mirror Mirror Magnified

“As I often remind you, I spend more time looking at you than you do looking at yourself in the mirror.” —Rook Hunt

Chapter 5 is no exception to reflecting its mascot in some way, but it’s because of Vil’s pride that the story does a few things new. As a deadly sin, pride is often considered the “mother of all sins” and yet a reasonable amount can also be a virtue. Until Vil crossed the line, the story even justifies the confidence he exudes. Hence my gist: Vil's "magic mirror" is not merely on his wall (nor pocket), but the very world around him.

All of the previous Overblotters qualify as antagonists throughout their chapters, but Vil, despite a few quarrels, has mostly remained on our side. His motives may be self serving, but he puts an earnest effort into training his team. While his critiques may be harsh, Vil explains in painstaking detail why he finds them necessary, if not agreeable. Whatever his faults, I’d argue that Vil’s the most leaderlike out of all the housewardens bar none. And when Vil deserves to be proud, the story smiles on him…

Just as Pomefiore boasts being NRC’s oldest dorm, Vil is representing the whole campus rather than just his dorm (ntm it’s Chapter 5 that recalls “Piece of My World”). Vil's pride continues to be mirrored, now using the coliseum he's performing on. Thus, when his ego does drive him out of line, we fight Vil’s OB in this very location, where the weather now sucks, “repairmen” fill his audience, and the stage is wrecked. (To add insult, the masses were off-stadium to watch Vil's brainwashed rival instead.) Chapter 5's whole mirror theme comes full circle when "Spudling 2" literally reflects Vil's own power against him two-fold, finishing his OB off. This battle even compromises his team’s ability to perform at their best afterwards. 

“The skies were clear and sunny before, yet now a tempest rages... Truly, it is like a reflection of Vil's own heart.” —Rook

So we see just how much Vil’s ego can hurt himself, but the story does still give him a lot to be proud of. Even if his OB wrecks the place, Vil’s the first boss we fight outside of his dorm and it’s on NRC’s grand stage. While drawing the line between a healthy pride and its sinful counterpart, Chapter 5 uses everything to reflect Vil in both cases.

Ignihyde - Buried Blazes Burn Blue

“Maybe to Idia and Ortho, this nightmarish situation is the reality and their life at school was more like a dream. One they’ll forget as soon as they wake up.” —Riddle

Sounds about right, we don’t even get a tour of the blue dorm in their own chapter! Instead we get STYX, which is a glorified prison as far as Idia’s concerned and that sums up his mentality. Idia rarely has the heart to explore opportunities outside, but will sing like a canary inside his own fort. But more deeply than the STYX as a whole, the most powerful metaphor for Idia’s heart is Tartarus.

Idia has a dangerous UM buried several stories underground in a fixed location and reaching it is more tedious than its stair count. If a mage’s UM reflects their heart, this tells us just how trapped Idia feels. All his talent and passion are forced under a tight lid until it bubbles up and bursts. Case in point, when we do dig deep enough, literally all hell breaks loose: Idia’s Overblot battle outscales any of the previous...

…and may take a while to break down. It’s inferred that Idia’s curse burned enough Blot from creating his own Phantom. And although he still experienced a “rush”, Idia is still level enough to talk to Ortho pragmatically and be self-aware of his own OB (a first). Speaking of, Idia’s not the only trapped heat now venting; we also have Ortho who’s been below Tartarus’ gate for nearly a decade but has consumed enough Phantoms to cause this whole incident and become the giant “Hades” we see.

In addition to the Blot burner, if I assume that Phantom Ortho is backing OB Idia without draining him like the usual, Idia gets the perks of OB free of price! All the more reasonable then that our battle against the Super Shroud Bros. would take three whole phases alongside other housewardens, Rook, Epel, and three Thunder Spears to best! Meanwhile, Idia heals at every turn, inflicts burn debuffs, and uses his “triple threat” more freely than previous OB bosses. This is the monster we find at the bottom of Tartarus—the Idia we unravel.

Also notable are Idia’s flame colors. He confirms that touching his hair wouldn’t burn us normally, but as long as blue’s hotter than orange, that tells me it’s trapped heat. But when he’s extremely pissed, Idia lets his sparks fly orange and while cooler than blue, it’s widespread enough to become his ultimate during his final OB phase. Just as his flames reflect his emotions, trapped or freed, the Tartarus towers that symbolize his depressors are the opposite element—a deep freezer for the Phantoms. 

Diasomnia - The Truest Tall Tales Told

Silver: “This isn’t a game. This is our reality.”

Idia: “W-wow! Man, that was totally protagonist dialogue! I wish I could say cool stuff like that…”

Even by TW’s standards, the Diasomnia tribe looks straight out of a fairy tale in body and soul (go figure, they even have real Fae). They’re not trying to be fictitious, but members of other dorms may still find them “chuuni”. Conversely, Diasomnia can make the rest of TW look “realistic” by comparison. And I honestly find this amusing—just picture a more “normal” sports team losing to fantasy warriors; the Spelldrive results would be even less surprising but in the most comical way possible.

On the flipside, it’s not unreasonable for Diasomnia’s characters to have a peculiar view of others as well. Take Sebek, who patronizes mankind and barely wants anything to do with us. His background might have something to do with that—Sebek grew up with very lofty figures like Malleus and Lilia to look up to, long enough to skew his own standards. But his case is a much smaller example of my point compared to the most mythical housewarden in the game, Malleus Draconia…

“Even if I had great power, I couldn’t get anything. I keep losing them. Everyone will get up from their seats and leave me. …There is no one to invite me anymore…” —Malleus

A deity among mages, Malleus embodies many “unrealistic expectations” and probably feels that the real world has no place for someone like him. His own common sense sounds alien to everyone else’s (including his own dorm members’ at times) and vice versa. Yet here he is in this reality being feared for his strength and isolated by his own lifestyle. To add to his grievances, two of the few people Malleus could get along with have plans to leave. Overall, this is not a reality Malleus is happy with and his solution couldn’t be more on point: Trap everyone in an Infinite Tsukuyomi.

“If you surrender to sleep, 1000 years will pass in a blink. You will all become the main characters of a fairy tale.” —Malleus

Sounds a lot like Silver, who’s already a shining knight in all but armor. His UM is literally NiGHTS Into Dreams and helps us traverse literal fantasies. But ironically, the most fantastical dream we visit is Lilia’s true story (aside from the added guests) and it takes us along a mapped RPG quest. Back to my point, what’s real for Diasomnia is a fairy tale for everyone else. Only way my perspective can come full circle is if Malleus’ OB fight takes place in a dream world as well, but Chapter 7 is still a ways from done as I’m typing this.

Twisted Wonderland AU

Ok ok ok,

Just hear me out..

Ahiru from Princess Tutu as Yuu!

And she helps deescalate overblotting when she dances ballet as Princess Tutu (like during their flashback to traumatic childhood moments)

I don't know if this would be like Sailor Moon/ Superman where no one but Grimm and the ghosts (and maaaaaybe Crowley?) know she and Tutu are one and the same.

Lilia totally knows and keeps saying vague things that confuddle Ahiru about whether or not her identity is discovered.

Jack maybe knows, or at least assumes they are related if not the same person.

Ace keeps saying things like "Man, you're such a klutz! You know who isn't a klutz? That pretty ballerina." While Deuce is all “She seems strong…I’d like to fight her!” please don’t

Maybe Idia, Ortho, Cater, and/or Rook would be the ones actively trying to find out her identity. Rook even dubs her "La Princesse des Cygnes."

All of the post-blotted dorm leaders + Jamil would look back on the calming dance with the mysterious princess fondly, even if some *Leona* won't admit it. Some might even developed a crush on the beautiful and gentle ballerina??

Malleus meets Ahiru as she is in her normal- klutzy - human form, and becomes fascinated by her without even knowing or being interested in the rumors of "La Princesse de Cygnes.”

Gym Class? Despite Coach Vargas's well-intentioned —though mostly overwhelming —support, Ahiru trips over her own feet, and cannot be trusted with a broom.

Alchemy Class? Professor Crewel makes Ahiru sit in a corner and do-not-move-a-muscle-for-the-seven's-sake so that no vials shatter and no potions that should't go together won't mix. Somehow, explosions still happen.

History Class? Professor Trein sees Ahiru as a well-behaved - well, as best as she can - student, but for some reason his cat finds reasons to pounce at her and scare her, disrupting the class.

If she still randomly turns into a duck:

Leona finds her duck version and -surprisingly- is quite sweet to the duckling (a more gentle and less sinister version of Scar teasing and playing with the mouse after the opening of The Lion King) before Ruggie interrupts him, and Duck-Ahiru scampers away in fright when Leona sarcastically tells the hyena he interrupted his lunchtime. Whoops.

Grimm doesn't actually attempt to eat Duck-Ahiru despite constant empty threats he'll do so whenever he and Ahiru argue. He actually comes zooming to her aid if he perceives the duckling to be in danger (much like Archimedes saving Wart/ Arthur when the latter was a fish in The Sword and the Stone.), though he quickly denies actually worrying about her and insists it'd be inconvenient if he lost his minion.

Prince Mytho Role:

Malleus, but actually interested in Ahiru from the start? Amused -and touched - that even though she seemed terrified of him at first, Ahiru actively makes an effort to get to know him till she's not even phased by his intimidating appearance and comfortably interacts with him.

Fakir Role:

Leona, in that he's rough and teasing to Ahiru, but is surprisingly gentle with Duck!Hiru, and maybe shows his hidden soft side to her. Big flustered tsundere when he one day puts two and two together and realizes why this cute and sweet little duck's scent is so similar to Ahiru's.

Just something I thought would be fun.

Trey just laughs it off, while Cater and Ace share their fair amount of fun while assisting the recruiter in his mischiefs, which take Deuce as their victim pretty often.

Jack on the other hand has a lot of struggles with Scar-chan, since she keeps on nagging to her, wanting the wolf to meet Mr. Dalmatia and do his best vouching for her so she could date the other recruiter.

Azul is intrigued, curious how he works, how is the Sea Witch orders him around and stuff. The moment they begin to talk about work, Floyd gets annoyed and leaves, while Jade prepares some tea with a slight chuckle.

Rook is absolutely ecstatic as he begins to snap photos of both of them, screaming French compliments. While the older ones are busy, Epel steals Appoi's poisoned apple to analyze it. They later have some of Epel's own apples from Harveston.

Surely, Ms. Hades is more than surprised to see other individuals with hair similar to hers. She and Ortho are already chatting while Idia still tries to comprehend her presence in an all-boys school. Her exciting stories about her boss makes the boys pretty curious to hear more as they talk all night with some snacks, while Ortho asks her if she wants to play some board games with them. She can't help but recognize Idia's plushies as Pain and Panic.

Silver is waiting patiently in the back if he needs to stop his father from going overboard.

I have not gotten into it other than looking up characters, but I am getting more and more interested in it, as I see so many people posting about this series.

My personal favorite is Divus Crewel, only because I adore Cruella <3 and personally I would be with the theatre kids, that's basically what I was when I was in school :p
