your guide to casual glam⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍰
your absolute go-to guide to master the art of casual glam and be glamorous even when ur not expected to be, bcuz glamor is a LIFESTYLE…💬🎀
ATTIRE ;
♡ fluffy slippers or princessy slides
♡ matching lounge sets
a matching lounge set is a MUST have for casual glamour in ur day to day life. they're perfect for just running errands, doing ur pretty girl maintenance and even just lounging around the house. they instantly make u look put together. bonus points if u accessorize accordingly…💬🎀
♡ velour/juicy couture tracksuits
♡ long flowy robes around the house
♡ bloomer shorts are absolutely adorable when ur lounging around, they make u look like a literal DOLL
MAKEUP ;
when i think of casually glamorous makeup looks i think very victoria's secret, very natural looking makeup thats kind of dewy, but has hints of glam. whether thats a shimmery gloss or a winged eyeliner…💬🎀
♡ glam makeup is all about creating a look thats not doing too much. u can capture this look by mixing in the tiniest bit of moisturizer into ur foundation. doing so will sheer out the pigment of the foundation -> resulting in less coverage BUT that gives u a skin like finish which is perfect for the casual glam.
♡ for ur eyes go for more nude/muted colors and finish with the tiniest bit of something glittery for that shimmery, glamorous look. a SLIGHTLY shimmery eye with a nude base + a winged eyeliner will EATTT.
HOT TIP ; use something with a straight edge when applying ur eyeshadow (business card for example) so that it'll make a rly clean line for ur eyeshadow. you'd put it at the end of the eye and tilt up towards ur temple…💬🎀
♡ go for a warmer blush look and use apply some mascara onto ur top lashes, but for ur bottom lashes use ur eyeliner for a more dainty natural look
CASUAL GLAM MUST HAVE ITEMS ;
♡ ur bedazzled water bottle
duh, hydration is super duper important for us to function in the best way possible and be healthy and glowing. this is ur sign to go and have some fresh, cold water…💬🎀
infused water recipes :
for some extra casual glam points, make some infused water to add some flavor and extra nutrients to ur water. you can simply add lemons, or add other fruits like strawberries and cucumbers.
♡ ur headphones
headphones are a MUST when running errands and doing miscellaneous chores. listening to music makes any task 10x better and more glamorous…💬🎀
♡ a yummy candle and a captivating task
a sweet smelling candle being lit is like, essential especially if ur going to be home all day and ofc u need a task to do so that then ur managing ur time and putting it into things that are meaningful…💬🎀

✧ how i stay productive during summer break (while still having fun!) ✧

hey lovelies! ✨
summer break is finally here and honestly? it's my favorite time to both relax and get things done. i know that sounds contradictory but trust me, finding that sweet balance between productivity and fun is totally possible! after years of either doing absolutely nothing or burning myself out, i've finally found my perfect summer rhythm.
first things first: the morning routine ✨
i've learned that my day flows so much better when i start it intentionally. i wake up around 8 or 9 (not too early because we deserve some extra sleep!), make my bed immediately (small win!), and spend 15 minutes journaling before checking my phone. this tiny habit has literally changed everything for me.
my summer morning essentials:
iced coffee with oat milk and a tiny bit of vanilla
a cute journal that makes me excited to write in it
10 minutes of stretching by my window
a super quick skincare routine (sunscreen is non-negotiable!)
creating a flexible structure 🤍
the secret to summer productivity is having just enough structure without feeling trapped. i divide my days into three parts:
morning: productive focus time (2-3 hours max) afternoon: flexible time for errands, friends, or projects evening: pure relaxation and fun
this way, i never feel like i'm missing out or falling behind. the key is being realistic about what you can actually accomplish in a day. i used to make these impossible to-do lists and then feel awful when i couldn't finish them.
my productivity non-negotiables:
i always make sure to do at least one productive thing each day, even if it's small. some of my favorites:
reading 20 pages of a book
organizing one small area of my room
working on a creative project for 30 minutes
learning something new for my blog
planning content or taking photos
balancing productivity with summer fun ✨
here's my little secret: schedule your fun just like you schedule your work! this sounds silly but it actually helps me look forward to both. some of my favorite summer activities that feel refreshing but don't derail my productivity:
morning walks with an audiobook
afternoon picnics where i can also read or brainstorm
coffee shop work dates with friends
sunset swims after a productive day
weekend day trips that recharge my creativity
my favorite productivity tools:
a paper planner (something about writing things down just works better for me)
the forest app to stay off my phone when focusing
aesthetic notion templates for organizing my projects
time blocking in my calendar with cute colors
lo-fi summer playlists that help me concentrate
remembering the why 🤍
summer isn't just about getting things done or having the perfect instagram moments. it's about growing, reflecting, and creating memories that will make you smile in december when it's freezing outside. productivity should support your joy, not replace it!
i've found that my happiest summer days are when i accomplish something meaningful in the morning and then have the freedom to be spontaneous in the afternoon and evening. balance isn't perfect every day, and that's okay too.
what are your favorite ways to stay productive during summer break? i'd love to hear your tips too!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

💜find your natural glow💜
❥how can you help yourself to rediscover your light? Unleash your natural beauty inside out
1. Everything starts inside.
You eat crappy food, have a messed up sleep schedule, don’t move and stay in your dark room all day? And you have the audacity to complain?

❥your life’s worth lays in your hands.
~find a healthy diet that suits you and fits into your daily life. Don’t label food into bad or good. Just know what you should eat occasionally and what to eat daily (and what amount). Control your portions.
~go to bed early. Get up early. Getting up before 6 and going to bed before 9/10 is a game changer. Woman need more sleep, so make sure to fulfill those needs.
~get some kind of movement in. Whatever it is. Just move. You’ll feel lighter in every way possible.
(Walking, Running, Pilates, swimming, weight lifting, cleaning your place, anything)
~a book is usually better than your phone.

2. Care and share
❥Haircare
~Oil your scalp with different oils (Castor, Rosemary, coconut, jojoba), heat it up a little and massage it into your roots and the rest for the lengths. Let it sit for some time and wash out properly.
~Use a fitting shampoo (hydrating, cleaning, etc) and use conditioner and hairmasks regularly.
~also, don’t dye your hair any crazy colour. Your natural haircolour is mostly perfectly fitting. Just take care
❥Makeup
Why am I seeing so many girls walk around with bronzer covering every inch of their face? Since when is a blush supposed to be that thickly applied?
~use a mirror. It does not look good.
Your natural beauty does not deserve to be suffocated
~the more natural the better. Apply makeup the way it FITS you and doesn’t bury your skin in products

~love you

₊˚⊹ ᰔ a guide to maintaining financial wellness ᝰ.ᐟ

having good money habits can be insanely difficult. i know i personally struggle with impulsive spending, and i’m sure we’ve all fallen victim to the “i’m just treating myself” mindset. financial stress and even financial depression can feel so daunting and overwhelming, so i’m here to help you guys (and myself as well) manage your money better!
let’s begin !!
ᝰ.ᐟ set aside funds
it’s important that when every paycheck hits your bank account to immediately set aside some funds into your savings account. whether it’s 10-20% of your paycheck or even $20-$100, set aside some money into your savings!
it also might help to have that savings account be locked so that you can still put money in, but you can’t take money out. let that savings amount pile up and don’t touch it until you’re absolutely ready to make that big purchase!
ᝰ.ᐟ set aside any cash
get a piggybank or even one of those money organizing binders to set aside any cash that may come your way! keep that cash away from your wallet so you won’t be tempted to use it in any outside purchases. and, same as the first point, that cash will start to pile up!
ᝰ.ᐟ purchase needs rather than wants
let’s start getting out of that “i’m gonna treat myself” mindset!! while it’s nice to treat yourself, we really should only be doing it every once in a while. we can also find different ways of treating/rewarding ourselves that don’t require spending any money! (i can make a separate blog post on this if you guys would like!)
especially when you’re trying to save up for school, a new apartment, a new car, or whatever it may be, it’s really important to keep your purchases to only things that are absolutely necessary.
ᝰ.ᐟ keep track of automatic payments
especially if you have a subscription of any kind, keep track of when those automatic deductions from your account are happening. make note of when your next billing date is and how much you’re being charged for each month/year.
this would also be a good way to determine what subscriptions you really need/want to keep and which ones you can do without and unsubscribe to! i did a full cleanse of my subscriptions list and kept the ones i definitely wanted to keep. sometimes you never really realize how much money your losing when you’re subscribed to things that have no use to you anymore!
ᝰ.ᐟ plan accordingly
when your paycheck comes in and you have all these payments that are coming up yet you still need to buy groceries or get gas or whatever, make sure to plan your funds ahead of time! this way, it’ll help you budget for your groceries & any other necessities as well as help you determine how much money you can set aside into your savings and even calculate how much extra funds you might have to spend on for more personal things!
𝜗𝜚 final notes 𝜗𝜚
don’t let these tips make you feel like you can’t treat yourself to something! as i mentioned earlier, you can still treat yourself to nice things, but it might be best to do it once in a while! i know most of us associate success with money, and to reach success with money we have to learn to be more mindful about how we spend our money and how we manage it.
live and love, babe.
sincerely, juno ⭑.ᐟ

habits i should try to avoid burnout 🍵
to varying degrees, every semester i burn out. this one may become the worst i've had in recent years if i'm not careful bc of the way i'm trying to pack my schedule. anxiety has been unexpectedly high this week and it's only week 1! 😖
🐢 self-care:
get 8-10 hours of sleep daily
daily exercise - enough to get me physically tired enough to sleep
meditate AND journal daily
give myself at least one day a week to chill (probably will be a "reset" day bc i can't just vegetable and expect my brain to not self-destruct. for now, let's try saturdays.)
more quality time with the people i love throughout the week
fresh air + sunlight when the weather isn't too inhospitable
no phone mornings (i quickly fell out of the habit but it did wonders for my mental health 😭)
🐰 time management:
set reasonable goals. don't kid yourself into thinking you can complete everything on a to-do list you doubt you can finish even half of - if you doubt, you're probably right.
take plenty of breaks throughout the day
don't procrastinate bc procrastination's consequences will definitely lead to burnout. on the days you just don't feel it, give yourself a reason to study that speaks to you. what is demotivating you? give yourself the encouragement you need to not give up.
vary the order in which you do things so your days feel like they have more variety (e.g. vary the order in which you work on different subjects every day)
study based on energy level (i.e. try to study high-energy subjects when you have high energy and low-energy subjects when you have low energy. stop for the day when you're just not there anymore, don't try to push it.) this doesn't have to be contradictory to the point above cuz i still have lots of choices for what to do and my energy sometimes fluctuates like crazy throughout a single day.

How would you recommend balancing things like school and work with all of the healthy habits you partake in? This is my biggest struggle :/
Hiii, thats a lovely question, thank you so much!! I used to struggle a lot with time management too and would constantly skip one thing to do another. It's interesting how humans live on a constant "not enough" basis: "I didn't sleep enough", "I didn"t work enough", "I didn't sweat enough". It's important to always actually think of all the little things that you did do today and to celebrate every small win of the day.

My most helpful time-management tips:
✮ Limiting social media
I'm not a social media person at all, but that's because I chose to stop mindlessly scrolling some time ago and get my life back in order, and I've never been happier with any decision that I ever made.
I don't use any social media except Tumblr and Instagram once in a blue moon. I used to have every app there was and my screen time could go even up to 12 hours a day, but now I post my stuff on here and chat with a few friends once every few days and that's mostly it. This alone gives me at least 8 more hours of free time that I can use towards any activities more useful than scrolling or liking stories, anddd it's so peaceful and you get so much more mental clarity from it. That's the only way I found that made me be present in my daily life and enjoy every little moment.
✮ Multi-tasking
This probably isn't the best for me, but I too don't have "enough" time in a day to do everything I want or should. My thing is that I walk a lot in my room while doing anything I have to do on my phone, and I also walk while brushing my teeth, getting (un)ready or even reading sometimes. Another thing that I do is to read or do extra school work in my breaks at school.
✮ The "eat the frog" method
It's something I saw on here, and I actually do it unconsciouslly a lot. My approach is that the first thing that I do in the morning in the hardest task of the day or just something productive. I get up, drink my water and start reading/doing my homework straightaway. I found that this helps me be so much more productive and makes sure that I don't procrastinate forever and actually get my work done, and I highly recommend this method!!
I hope this will help you to become better at managing your time!! Good luck on your joutney, take good care of yourself and I'm so proud of you <333

Become Your Best Version Before 2025 - Day 13
Financial Planning and Budgeting
Hello Goddesses! I know that talking about money, can feel scary or boring, but after working on our stress management tools yesterday, it's perfect timing to address something that's often a huge source of stress for many of us: finances.
First things first: if thinking about money makes you want to hide under your blanket, you're not alone. But taking control of your finances isn't about becoming a math genius or never buying another coffee again. It's about making friends with your money so it can help you live your best life.
Let's break this down into bite-sized pieces that won't give you a headache:
Start Where You Are
Remember when you first learned to ride a bike? You didn't start by doing tricks, you started with training wheels. Money management is the same way! First step: just look at your current situation. Open those banking apps you've been avoiding. Take a deep breath and look at your statements. Knowledge is power, even if it's a bit scary at first.
The Money Map Exercise
Grab a piece of paper (or open your notes app) and let's do something simple:
Write down all your income sources
List your regular monthly expenses (yes, including those sneaky subscriptions!)
Don't forget those irregular expenses like annual fees or seasonal costs
Look at what's left (or what's missing)
Congratulations! You've just created your first basic budget outline.
The 50/30/20 Guideline
Here's a popular way to think about your money:
50% for needs (rent, groceries, utilities)
30% for wants (fun stuff, shopping, entertainment)
20% for future you (savings, debt payment, investments)
These numbers might not work for everyone, especially depending on where you live. The important thing is to have some kind of plan that works for YOU.
Smart Money Habits You Can Start Today
The 24-Hour Rule: For non-essential purchases over a certain amount (you decide the number!), wait 24 hours before buying. You'd be surprised how many "must-haves" become "maybe nots" overnight!
Bill Calendar: Set up a simple calendar with all your bill due dates. Future you will be so grateful!
Automate Your Savings: Even if it's just $5 a week, set up automatic transfers to a savings account. It's like hiding money from yourself!
Track Your Spending: For just one week, write down every single purchase. No judging, just observing. You might find some surprising patterns!
The Emergency Fund Challenge
Let's start building that safety net! Even $500 in savings can make a huge difference in an emergency. Start with a goal of saving just $25 this week. Too much? Start with $10. Too little? Make it $50. The amount isn't as important as getting started.
Money Goals That Make Sense
Instead of vague goals like "save more," try specific ones like:
Save enough for three months of basic expenses by December 2025
Pay off one credit card by summer
Create a "fun fund" for that hobby you've been wanting to try
Your financial journey is exactly that, YOURS. You don't need to compare yourself to anyone else. The person on Instagram showing off their investment portfolio might still be paying off massive debt. Focus on your own path!
Your mission for today:
Look at your bank statement (I know, scary, but you can do it!)
Pick ONE money habit from this post to try this week
Set ONE specific financial goal for 2025
See you tomorrow for Day 14! Remember, every financial decision you make today is a gift to your future self.

As a professional tarot reader, I imagine you got a busy life outside of that whether it's another job or social obligations. I like how you conduct yourself both on your blog and when making personal interpretation reports for others. How do you tend to manage yourself, schedule, and energy to make the creative-spiritual content that you do? You seem to genuinely enjoy what you are doing. 🥰 Do you have any general or practical advice for people thinking of starting out in becoming a reader for others? 🤔
Hi, thank you for such a lovely message💓🌰 (I feel like sending some chestnuts). Somehow the word "conduct" reminds me so much of Saturn, and then Saturn reminds me of chestnuts.
Your question took longer to reply to than I expected. As I wrote, I realised that this is quite a broad topic. If I were to write to my heart's content then it would turn into an essay, so I will try to keep it concise as much as possible 👀
A bit of context: I quit my corporate job that used to take up more than half the time of day. After being a corporate clown for 9 years, now I just live as a hermit and do freelance jobs. Maybe I will stay as a hermit for the next 9 years then begin another journey, who knows. I'm not that good at self management, but my life right now is pretty simple, so it's easier to manage. I will share some of my personal experiences and observations about time management, creativity and spirituality here:
Time
Routine: Doing readings at a certain time of the day. I just found out recently that I do divination reading best at night time, rather than during daytime. I keep a general timetable in my head so I can have a general idea of when to do something (and not following it).
Checklist: I also keep a checklist of tasks I need to complete on time (PACs, personal readings), the feeling of ticking off boxes can be pretty satisfying 😆.
Space out readings: For PACc, I only read one group/day to keep the energy and length balanced between each group (if I do all the groups in one go, later group's reading length will suffer). For personal readings, I do the opposite, I tend to read all the questions in one go, but won't read for more than one person in one day.
Productivity
Enjoyment: Are you doing readings for your own enjoyment or as a duty? Do you genuinely like the questions, the topics? Do you feel comfortable doing readings for certain topics, for certain people? I don't think divination can be something that you can force yourself to do, especially when reading for other people.
Motivation: What are you trying to achieve when doing readings? for fun, for practice, for gaining knowledge, for digging out people's deep dark secrets, for money or for other reasons? Being clear on what motivates you will give you a better direction.
Perseverance: I like how every time I ask Tarot about my path, I always got the 8 of pentacles. Routine practice is good, don't compare yourself with other people, keep your gaze on what you're doing.
Guilt & Fear: I have productivity guilt sitting in the dark corner, ready to nag and whip any time I dare to be idle. Thanks to this, I was actually able to do lots of things. Doing something creative is also a good way to relieve stress for me, so the more stressed I am, the more productive I become *quietly, begrudgingly mumbling a "thank you" to Saturn aspects*. Guilt and fear, sometimes, can be such great motivators, with the right dose of course. (on the topic of fear, I once asked my friend if they didn't have any fears at all, what are the things that they would do? My friend answered "nothing, If I didn't fear anything, I wouldn't do anything at all")
Creativity/ Energy
Creative energy pool: Not to be confused with general energy pool. I don't know if other people feel the same, but for me, creative energy has a definite allotment for each day. If I use up that energy for one creative activity then I can't do another creative activity in that same day. So cramming many creative activities in one day can be counter intuitive. Doing divination, in my opinion, can also be a form of creative act, as it's about translating the messages inside you into a visible form of communication. So be mindful of that aspect.
The cyclical nature of creative energy: Some people are able to maintain a constant flow of energy, but in my case, it can be sporadic, it waxes and wanes like the moon so if I ever find myself feeling uninspired, I will just leave it and do other things, because I know it will come back later. If you find a topic or a question unappealing, maybe leave it for a while, read other topics then come back to it later.
Energy level: This is about the general energy level. Each person will have a different peak time for doing something during the day. Find out about yours and ultilise it. The tone and quality of a reading will reflect your energy, doing a reading when you're tired or physically unwell will have a negative impact on both the reading and you, not to mention the receiver of that reading if you read for others.
Interaction with energies: Be aware of your interaction with other people's energy, reading for others is a two way connection. Having your moods and thoughts be influenced by other's energy is real. Some will energise you, others can leave a bad taste but don't let that discourage you.
In the end, the most helpful advice I can think of is take it easy, keep doing what you enjoy and keep it fun & meaningful (even the soul searching, deep introspection readings needn't to be all dark and heavy, facing your demons can be like those dark fantasy novels, but it can also be slice of life comedy, none is less meaningful than the other)
I hope this can be helpful somehow. Have a great weekend ahead. 🌼🎐

how im preparing for 2025⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🍬💕
MY MANIFESTING LIST ;
every year i always make a list of the things that i wanna manifest in 2025, i dont always complete it in the first sitting bcuz i add onto it as the year progresses but i like to have a basic framework of everything that im manifesting in that year.
also along with my manifest list for 2025, i also create a 2025 vision board because it motivates me and reminds me of all the amazing things that im going to experience in 2025.
REFLECTING ON THIS YEAR ;
so in my notion i have a section called the 'monthly digest' where every single month i break down the 4 weeks of the month and everything that i did in them in relation to my goals. after every month i write a little summary.
so with that being said i have a LOT to go back to and reflect on so that i can see what i accomplished this year and what i can do better in the next year. this reflection system that i have is so helpful so i'll set one up for 2025 so that i can also have that at my disposal.
BREAKING UP THE NEXT YEAR ;
i break up my year into 4 quarters (each lasting 3 months) that way i can see my year broken up and i have a clear plan and i can be organized. quarter one (january - march) quarter two (april - june) so on and so forth. and after every quarter i do a little analysis.
something else that i wanna try for next year is giving myself quarterly themes. like for each quarter of the year i'll focus on a different aspect of myself, i think that could be fun…💬🎀
PREPARATIONS ;
im wrapping up some things like my projects, assignments and things of that nature so that i can go into the next year on a clean slate. furthermore im making plans for new years eve, and january and making sure that i've already set some things in motion.
all in all, with everything in motion and everything set in place im going into the new year INCREDIBLY confident 💕📔

Hi Mindy! I’m a college student and I’m struggling to go to bed at a decent hour (think 3 am bedtimes every day) because of the amount of homework I have. Do you have any tips for time management so I can figure out how to get my homework done all during the day so I’m not losing sleep? (Any app recommendations or suggestions on how to schedule my day would be greatly appreciated). Thank you so much! I love your blog and I love seeing your posts🩷
how to get your life together & actually sleep: time management tips for college✨

hi love! 💌 first off, thank you so much for your sweet words. they genuinely made me smile. i’m so proud of you for wanting to improve your time management and prioritize your sleep (honestly, sleep is like the ultimate self-care, and you deserve it). i know college can feel like a whirlwind of assignments, deadlines, and just… life. staying up until 3 am is no joke, and it’s amazing that you’re ready to make a change. let’s make your routine feel a little more manageable and a lot more magical.
☁️ romanticize your productivity: first thing’s first: mindset. instead of viewing homework as this scary, endless task that eats up your nights, try to romanticize it. create a cozy study ritual. light a candle, make a cute study playlist (ex: lo-fi mixed with soft acoustics), and set up your space in a way that makes you actually want to sit down and work. i know it sounds silly, but giving your study sessions a soft, aesthetic vibe can make them feel less like a chore and more like a peaceful little routine. i have a lot of posts talking about this
🌙 break down your workload: sometimes it’s not about how much work you have but how it’s organized. take a few minutes in the morning or the night before to make a list of what you actually need to accomplish. break it down into small, bite-sized tasks. for example, instead of “study for chem exam,” write down “review chapter 4 notes,” “do practice problems,” and “make flashcards for key concepts.” checking off small tasks feels way more rewarding than staring at a big, vague to-do.
💡 create a time-blocking ritual: i’m obsessed with time-blocking because it feels like giving each task its own little home. instead of doing everything all at once (which is just chaos), dedicate specific chunks of time to each task. for instance:
🌼 9-10 am: review lecture notes
✨ 10-11:30 am: work on that essay (no distractions)
🍓 11:30-12: take a break, stretch, grab a snack
💻 12-1: group project research set timers to keep yourself accountable. i use the “focus keeper” app for 25-minute work sessions with 5-minute breaks. it’s surprisingly motivating!
📅 the magic of reverse scheduling: if you know you want to be in bed by, say, 11 pm, plan your day backwards from there. schedule your evening wind-down routine (like skincare, a little journaling, and tea) and work your way back through the hours, assigning tasks in reverse. this way, you’re prioritizing sleep as non-negotiable and shaping your day to respect that.
✨ my fave apps for dreamy productivity:
notion: perfect for creating aesthetic, organized to-do lists, study schedules, and even journaling about your progress.
flora: turns studying into a game by planting a virtual tree while you focus. if you leave the app, the tree dies (no pressure, right?).
toggl: tracks your time so you can see how long tasks actually take. it’s eye-opening to realize you might be spending way more time scrolling than studying.
clockify: like a little personal assistant that tracks your study sessions and breaks. it’s simple and kind of addicting to see how productive you’ve been.
habitica: makes productivity feel like an RPG game. complete with character upgrades when you check things off. honestly, it’s too cute to resist.
💖 mindy’s personal tips:
📝 batch similar tasks: do all your note-taking at once, then all your problem-solving. your brain doesn’t have to keep switching gears.
🎯 use the “two-minute rule”: if something takes less than two minutes, do it right away (like replying to emails or organizing your notes).
🕰️ the 1-3-5 rule: pick one big task, three medium tasks, and five small ones to accomplish each day. it keeps your to-do list from being overwhelming.
✨ romanticize rest too: treat your sleep as sacred. create a pre-bed routine that you actually look forward to, like reading a few pages of a lighthearted book or doing a little night yoga.
🌸 don't forget how important 'no' is: sometimes, we overcommit because we’re too nice to say no. it’s okay to protect your time! practice polite ways to decline extra responsibilities when you know they’ll eat into your sleep. like, “i’d love to help, but i have to focus on my assignments tonight. let’s plan something for the weekend!”
🌙 gentle evening wind-down: your body needs time to transition from productivity mode to sleep mode. about an hour before bed, turn off your screens, dim the lights, and switch to calming activities. i like using the “calm” app for guided meditations that feel like little bedtime stories.
🌱 become a morning person (yes, it’s possible)
one trick that really works is having something to look forward to. think of a tiny, indulgent ritual that you save just for mornings. maybe it’s a frothy matcha latte with vanilla syrup, journaling in a pretty notebook, or listening to your favorite podcast while you stretch. the key is to make mornings feel like a gift to yourself rather than just the start of a grind.
set your alarm to a song that makes you feel good!! something soft and happy. bonus points if it’s different from your usual playlist because it’ll feel special. place your phone across the room so you have to physically get up to turn it off. i also love using the “alarmy” app because it makes you solve a simple puzzle before it stops ringing (annoying, but effective).
once you’re up, avoid falling back into bed by making your bed immediately. it’s like telling your brain, “we’re up now. no going back.” then, try a quick, gentle morning stretch to wake your body up without feeling rushed. mornings can actually feel soft and peaceful if you give yourself permission to take it slow.
as for getting enough sleep the night before. make it non-negotiable. treat your bedtime like an important meeting you can’t cancel. remind yourself that a well-rested mind works way better than a sleep-deprived one. it’s all about romanticizing rest as part of your productivity rather than seeing it as wasted time.
give it a week, and see how you feel. even a small shift, like waking up 30 minutes earlier, can make your day feel more spacious and less chaotic. being a morning person is just about creating tiny habits that make mornings feel like a calm beginning rather than a rushed scramble.
🌸 micro productivity okay, let’s be real... sometimes the idea of sitting down for a three-hour study session feels completely overwhelming. that’s where micro productivity comes in. instead of blocking out huge chunks of time, break your tasks into mini-sprints that fit into the small gaps of your day.
for example, while waiting for your coffee to brew, you could make a quick list of your priorities for the day. during your commute or while you’re eating lunch, review your flashcards or skim your notes. those little moments add up, and suddenly your workload doesn’t feel as intense because you’ve been chipping away at it throughout the day.
one of my favorite apps for this is “quizlet.” you can make digital flashcards and quickly review them whenever you have a spare moment. or use “ankidroid” for spaced repetition. it’s great for subjects that require lots of memorization.
another trick? the “two-minute rule.” if a task takes less than two minutes, do it immediately rather than adding it to your to-do list. this helps clear out small, annoying tasks that tend to pile up (like replying to emails or organizing your desktop).
i also love the idea of micro journaling. sometimes, when you’re overwhelmed, writing down just one thought or feeling can give your brain the clarity it craves. it doesn’t have to be a full journal entry, just a few words that capture your mood or intention.
don’t underestimate the function of small wins. every tiny task you complete builds momentum and makes the bigger assignments feel more doable. it’s like telling yourself, “i’m already being productive today. let’s keep that energy going.”
the goal is to make productivity feel more like a series of little achievements rather than one massive to-do list. micro productivity helps you stay on top of things without burning out, and it feels way more manageable when your schedule is packed.
💫 stay motivated when your energy is low we’ve all been there. those days when your brain feels like it’s wrapped in a fog, and the idea of tackling your to-do list feels impossible. it’s okay to have low-energy days, but let’s find a way to work with them instead of against them.
first, check in with yourself. is your low energy from lack of sleep, stress, or just general burnout? sometimes just identifying the reason helps you figure out what kind of self-care you need. if you’re physically tired, maybe your focus should be on rest or low-effort tasks. if it’s more mental fatigue, try switching up your study space or doing something creative to break the monotony.
use the idea of “productive rest.” sometimes, resting doesn’t mean doing nothing. it can be as simple as switching tasks to something lighter, like organizing your notes or doing some gentle stretching while listening to a podcast related to your coursework. this way, you’re still moving forward, just at a gentler pace.
set up a reward system to motivate yourself. for example, after 20 minutes of studying, give yourself a 5-minute break to scroll through pinterest or listen to a song you love. use apps like “forest” to stay focused during your work session and then celebrate with a cute coffee break when your tree grows.
also, be kind to yourself. it’s okay if you’re not operating at 100% all the time. instead of pushing yourself to be overly productive, prioritize what actually needs to get done. sometimes, just getting one important task out of the way is enough for the day, and that’s completely valid.
remember, your energy levels fluctuate, and that’s perfectly normal. don’t pressure yourself to be endlessly productive. balance is key. the goal is sustainable productivity, not burning out from trying to do everything at once. listen to your body, adjust your pace, and know that it’s okay to take breaks when you need them.
💫 final thoughts: it’s all about balance, being productive during the day is great, but you’re human. you can’t be on 24/7. give yourself grace when things don’t go perfectly. the goal isn’t perfection; it’s progress. prioritize rest as much as you prioritize getting things done, and your mind (and grades) will thank you.
xoxo mindy

Creating a routine when Chronic Illness makes it tough
Living with a chronic health condition (whether pain specific or otherwise) brings its own set of challenges – especially when it comes to creating a routine.
But there are ways to create routines that might help - on the days when they're possible.
Tip one – create mini routines to fit into your day
These are small things that might fit into your day, depending on pain and energy levels.
For example, if brushing your teeth is something you often forget to do, you can add it to the end of your bathroom time when you get washed, before you leave that space.
Tip two – create a routine for the different types of days your experience
The types of days we experience as spoonies vary a lot. On some days, no plan will work - and that's ok. But here a few thoughts on making some plans.
For example – on “good” days you might include tasks that you otherwise can’t do (such as tidying up a specific area, or getting a washing load done).
On the tougher days, your routine might instead include reminders to eat and drink, use supportive technology like a tens machine or electric heat pad, and to take things easy.
Remember – if things don’t go as expected – that is OK. Just be kind to yourself and adapt your plans to what your body needs on the day. Routines are meant to work FOR you - and really aren't about beating yourself up if you don't manage them.
You've got this! Sending spoonie hugs!

hii! I’m in university in my 3rd year and all is going well but i’m starting to have a super packed schedule. i’m getting everything done on time but some lab and club responsibilities have taken the brunt of my new schedule. do you have any recommendations for staying on top of your work (and not neglecting yourself in the meantime)?
Currently going through this, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Here are some of my tips:
Prioritize sleep and make getting at 6-7 hours of rest a non-negotiable in your life
Walk as much as you can to get some movement in and fresh air
Focus on eating healthy meals at least 80% of the time. Take your vitamins every day if you need any
Give yourself at least 30 minutes in the morning before you need to get ready/get started with your day
Have a work cutoff time for yourself every night. Book some relaxation time into your schedule daily (especially before bed)
Find one or two simple routines that you really enjoy and can easily incorporate into your day (mine are a cup of coffee in the morning and a walk home/a shower with tea in the evening)
Reframe the idea/habit of rest and not neglecting your needs as a burnout prevention strategy not "being lazy"
Hope this helps xx
