Head cannon story
"Sebek, it's nice to see you too." Your tone was casual, unbothered by his sudden demand.
SEBEK ZIGVOLT
---
"Move before I make you."
Sebek's sharp glare fixed on you, his eyebrows furrowed deeply as his slitted eyes seemed to burn with irritation. You met his gaze with calm resolve, not backing down. You were at the library, tucked away in a small, secluded corner that you had chosen for some quiet reading time. This was your little haven, far from the usual chaos, perfect for enjoying the novel you'd finally saved enough to buy. Sebek, however, had different plans.
"This is my seat, human. How dare you take it from me," he seethed. Surprisingly, his voice was lower than usual—perhaps a rare courtesy, considering there were many students and even Trein was nearby. You raised an eyebrow at the toned-down Sebek but said nothing about it.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not moving." You gestured to the other tables, all occupied. "Besides, every table is packed. So, I'm staying here."
His eyes narrowed, frustration radiating off him in waves, but you stayed rooted, not willing to give in. For a moment, you thought he might force the issue, but then, to your surprise, Sebek pulled out a chair and sat down across from you, the movement sharp and almost petulant. The textbook he slapped onto the table was thick enough to make a resounding thud, and he immediately buried himself in it, ignoring you completely
"Why?" you asked after a pause, still caught off guard by his behavior.
Sebek didn’t look up from his book, though his scowl deepened. "Shush, human. I'm being generous. I don't have time to entertain your stubbornness. I have a responsibility to achieve the highest marks for the sake of Waka-sama."
His words were tense, as if he were gritting his teeth through his forced patience. You couldn't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment, sitting there with your light novel while he pored over academic texts with such intensity. For a brief second, you wondered if you were wasting your time reading for pleasure while Sebek’s ambitions seemed so focused.
Still, you returned to your book, though your concentration was broken by the odd contrast between you two. The tension between you ebbed slowly, replaced by an awkward yet comfortable silence. Minutes passed, and despite his earlier hostility, Sebek’s focus on his studies remained steadfast—though his ever-present scowl never softened.
You couldn’t help but chuckle softly at his intense concentration. It was almost as if he was battling the textbook itself. His sharp ears twitched at the sound, and he shot you a glare. "What’s so funny, human?"
"Nothing," you said, your lips twitching into a grin despite yourself.
Sebek, however, wasn't satisfied. His eyes flicked down to your book, and he scoffed.
"That book..." he muttered, disdain dripping from every word. "It’s absurd. The story was weak, and the characters—especially the knight prince—were utterly pathetic. A disgrace to warriors everywhere."
You frowned, genuinely surprised. "You’ve read it?"
"Unfortunately." His tone dripped with disdain. "The knights were incompetent, and the relationship between the 'knight prince' and the human was laughable at best. Blasphemous, even."
You shook your head, amused by how riled up he was getting over a fictional story. "I don't think it’s that bad. The relationship between the knight prince and the human is actually kind of sweet."
Sebek scoffed, leaning back in his chair with crossed arms. "Sweet? You find such foolishness sweet?"
"Well," you began, trying to find the right words. "When they first meet, the knight prince is so uptight, so proud. Kind of like you, honestly." You grinned when you saw his frown deepen at the comparison, but continued. "He’s treated as a spoiled, so naturally, his actions come off as heartless. He’s stubborn and selfish, sure, but what I love about the story is how the human doesn’t try to change him. They accepted him for who he is and they know he’s too stubborn."
Sebek’s glare softened slightly as he listened, though his expression remained unreadable. You traced your fingers over the book’s cover, smiling softly as you continued. "It’s the knight prince himself who chooses to change. Not for anyone else, but because he wants to be worthy of the person he loves. He becomes better, for her."
Your voice had grown gentle, your thoughts drifting to the story’s heartfelt moments. Sebek, on the other hand, remained silent, watching you closely. His usual sharpness had faded as he seemed to process your words. For a fleeting moment, his gaze softened, his slitted eyes flickering with something you couldn’t quite place.
"This story," you added with a soft chuckle, "was one of my favorites back in my world. It’s funny how similar the themes are to things here but still different. " You read the title aloud, mumbling something while completely missing the way Sebek’s eyes lingered on you.
The silence stretched on for a moment longer, Sebek’s attention still fixed on your face. He quickly looked away, his ears turning a faint shade of red as he returned to his book. "It’s still a ridiculous story," he muttered under his breath, though the bite in his words had lessened.
"Perhaps," you mused with a smile. "But sometimes, the most ridiculous stories have the most heart."
"Cease your rambling, human. You’re disturbing my study," he shot back, though without much force. You could tell, however, that he was no longer as focused on his textbook as before.
And so, the two of you sat there in comfortable silence once more. The library around you was bustling, but in that little corner, it felt like the world had shrunk down to just the two of you. Every now and then, you caught Sebek sneaking glances at you, though he would always immediately pretend to be deeply engrossed in his book whenever you looked up.
You didn’t mind. After all, in his own way, Sebek was just like the knight prince—stubborn, proud, and trying to become better, even if he would never admit it aloud.
DEUCE SPADE
“Yo, Deuce, you up for some pranks?” Ace’s voice broke through the peaceful quiet, appearing in Deuce’s vision from above, wearing his signature mischievous grin. Deuce, lying on the grass beneath the large oak tree, sighed, shaking his head.
“Too tired to do anything right now,” Deuce groaned, his voice hoarse with fatigue. “Just… leave me alone, Ace. Do something that doesn’t involve breaking the rules, would you?”
Ace shrugged, rolling his eyes. “Lame. Suit yourself. More fun for me,” he said, turning to walk off, whistling as he disappeared from sight, leaving Deuce behind, staring up at the clear blue sky.
Deuce closed his eyes for a moment, feeling an overwhelming sense of exhaustion that tugged at him, both physically and mentally. He wasn’t sure why, but today had been draining in a way he couldn’t quite explain. As he lay there, his mind drifted, thoughts wandering back to memories of his mom, of home, and of the promise he made to be a better student—a better person.
Before he knew it, Deuce felt sleep beginning to pull at him. But when he awoke, it wasn’t peace he found. His body was covered in sweat, his head felt like it was on fire, and his limbs ached as though they were weighed down by invisible chains. He groaned, trying to sit up, but the dizziness hit him hard, making his vision blur. He had no choice but to lean back against the cool grass for support, breathing heavily.
He didn’t notice the approaching footsteps until a gentle, warm hand rested on his shoulder, its warmth contrasting with the cold sweat clinging to his skin. The touch sent a jolt of awareness through his foggy mind, but it was still hard to focus. His vision blurred, the world around him tilting.
The voice was soft yet firm, cutting through the haze clouding his mind His body instinctively reacted to the familiar tone, though his head felt heavy, almost disconnected from his body. He blinked rapidly, trying to force his eyes to focus on the figure in front of him. The sunlight filtering through the trees only deepened the shadows around the person's face, making it harder to see clearly.
“Deuce!”
The voice called again, more urgent this time. He could hear the concern, almost bordering on panic. He strained to make out the face but his vision refused to cooperate, swirling in and out of focus. He tried to stand up buth his legs gave out beneath him, and before he could register what was happening, his body collapsed forward.
Strong arms caught him, cradling him against a firm chest. His head lolled as the person knelt down, their hold steady, keeping him from sinking to the ground. Deuce vaguely felt the press of a hand against his cheek, a quiet gasp escaping the person as they registered just how feverish he was. Their touch, cool against his overheated skin, sent a shiver down his spine.
“Hang on, Deuce. You’re burning up…”
The words floated in his ears, distant and muffled, but there was something about the way they said his name—soft. He tried to respond, but his throat was too dry, his body too weak. His vision was swimming, the world around him dimming. All he could focus on was the scent—something familiar, comforting—surrounding him as they held him close.
Before he could make sense of it, exhaustion pulled him under like a heavy tide. His consciousness slipped away, and the last thing he registered was the steady thrum of their heartbeat, the way their arms tightened protectively around him as they whispered, "I’ve got you."
And then, everything went dark.
When Deuce woke again, he found himself in the infirmary, tucked beneath crisp white sheets. The familiar sterile scent of the room and the faint ticking of a clock greeted him, disorienting him for a moment. It was dark outside, the moonlight spilling in through the window.
He jerked upright, his mind racing. What time is it? Oh no his dorm rules! He wasn’t supposed to stay out this late.
Before he could panic, Professor Crewel strode into the room, his eyes glinting as always behind his thin-rimmed glasses. "You finally woke up, pup," Crewel remarked, placing a bowl of soup on the small tray beside the bed. "You should eat before it gets cold."
Deuce blinked, rubbing his eyes. “What happened? How long have I been out?”
"You passed out from exhaustion and a fever," Crewel said, arms crossed. “Another student found you in time and brought you here. Good thing too. Your body clearly needs more rest than you’ve been giving it. Now eat."
Deuce muttered his thanks, taking the bowl of soup in his trembling hands. The warmth from the bowl seeped into his palms, providing a little comfort.
“And don’t worry about your housewarden," Crewel added as Deuce took a sip of the soup. "I’ve already spoken to him and he sends his well wishes. Focus on recovering. It’ll take a few days."
Relief washed over Deuce as he nodded. The soup was simple but delicious, and the warmth it brought made him realize just how starved his body was. Crewel, satisfied that Deuce was eating, turned to leave.
“Thank you, Professor,” Deuce called softly as Crewel disappeared through the door.
As the days passed, Deuce slipped in and out of consciousness. Each time he woke, there would be a fresh bowl of food and a cold handkerchief on his forehead. Whoever had taken the time to care for him never stayed long enough for him to wake fully and meet them. There was always this gentle touch, a warmth that lulled him back to sleep before he could open his eyes.
One day, Deuce decided he wasn’t going to sleep. He lay there with his eyes closed, feigning slumber when he heard the door open quietly. He tensed when he felt that familiar warm hand gently press against his forehead. The fever had finally broken. Then he heard a soft, familiar voice.
“It’s finally down… good.”
The voice was unmistakable. It was you.
Deuce’s heartbeat quickened, but he couldn’t bring himself to open his eyes. You gently caressed his cheek before placing a fresh towel on his forehead, your touch lingering for a moment longer. He wanted to say something, but the words wouldn’t come. Before he knew it, you were gone again, and he remained there, his thoughts swirling.
By the next day, Deuce had fully recovered. Professor Crewel checked on him once more, deeming him fit to leave the infirmary. As Deuce gathered his belongings, he noticed a small note nearby.
'Congratulations on your recovery.' It was simple, unsigned, with a small doodle of a flower at the bottom of the paper.
Deuce smiled, his chest warm. He didn’t need a signature to know who had left it.
Later that day, you were sitting in the cafeteria, chatting with Grim as he rambled on about some mischief he had gotten into earlier. You were mid-bite when your vision was suddenly blocked by a bouquet of red roses. Startled, you looked up, only to find Deuce standing behind you, his chest brushing lightly against your back as he leaned over.
“Thank you, Prefect,” he said, his voice low, his face a little flushed. "For taking care of me."
Your mouth opened in surprise, cheeks growing warm as his words sank in. You hadn’t expected him to figure it out, let alone confront you about it. "It’s… it’s nothing," you mumbled, looking away, your fingers hesitantly wrapping around the bouquet he had thrust into your hands.
Grim, sitting beside you, looked on with utter confusion. “Huh? What’s going on? What’s with the flowers?”
Ace, who had just joined your table, gawked at the two of you, his brow furrowed in disbelief. “Yuck. What happened to both of you?”
Your face flushed an even deeper shade of red, while Deuce—completely unfazed by Ace’s comment—sat down across from you, a satisfied look on his face. His usual tough-guy demeanour softened just a little, though there was still that hint of bashfulness in his eyes as he watched you cradle the roses in your lap.
Grim shook his head. “This is weird. What did I miss?”
You tried to focus on your lunch, but every time you caught Deuce’s eye, you felt the heat rise back to your cheeks.
And despite the teasing from your friends, you couldn’t help but smile.

Leona Kingscholar was a fearsome lion demon, known throughout the realms for his ruthless demeanor and commanding presence. Clad in a sleeveless, midriff-baring garment adorned with armbands and bracelets wrapped around his forearms, he exuded an aura of power and danger. His left arm bore a striking black lion tattoo, a mark of his prominence within the demon society. Both demons and humans alike feared his presence.
Leona's brother, Falena, was equally ruthless. Together, they crushed human armies for amusement and disrupted peace among the lands. Despite their shared rule, Leona harbored a deep-seated resentment towards Falena. He despised how demons often favoured his brother over him, Thus Leona grew envy and hatred for his blood brother.
One day, he met you in a cabin near the mountains. The rain poured relentlessly hard from the outside causing only a small flickering light inside the cabin. Leona's emerald eyes glinted in the darkness while you lay on the floor, eyes completely widened in surprise. He was already irritated from an argument with his brother earlier and lashed out by leaving and sought after his favourite hiding spot. The sky didn't seem to be also on his side and leaving him no choice but to find some shelter thus he met you, his frustration was evident as he glared at you.
Your reaction, however, was unexpected. Unlike others who cowered in fear or fled at the sight of him, you faced him head-on, your expression calm and defiant.
"Who are you?" you asked, your voice steady.
Needless to say, Leona was intrigued.
"Interesting, why haven't you crawled out yet?"
he retorted, ignoring your question. He strode towards you, forcefully tilting your chin up with his fingers and noticed your eyes held an abundance of life in them. Something stirred inside him and made him laugh in irony. How laughable that you still held so much hope when no one else seemed to be around except for the two of you. He paused his laughter and smirk.
"A helpless herbivore," he mocked. "Do you think you can run away in your state? Or do you even know how to run away?"
Leona laughs once more and let go of his hold on you. He placed them on the side of his face and hips as he continued to laugh. As he laugh, you looked very much annoyed with him and wished you can smack him in the face.
Without thinking, you slapped him across the face. The cabin fell silent as Leona stood there, stunned, a red mark blooming on his cheek. His emerald eyes locked onto yours in a fierce stare-down. You glared before realizing what you have done. You angered your past lover when he was ruthless in that era.
"You-!" he began, fury flashing across his features.
Before he could react, you turned and bolted towards the door. Leona launched himself after you, the air growing cold with his anger. he caught you easily. Yet, as he prepared to drag you back, you bit down hard on his hand. The unexpected pain made him flinch, and for a moment, his grip loosened. In that brief moment, you wiggled free and left.
He never saw you again.

In a realm where fear and power, Malleus Draconia reigned as the most dreaded Fae dragon demon. Malleus ruled with an iron grip with his trusted lieutenant, Lilia Vanrouge, by his side - a cunning and ruthless bat who was very loyal to Malleus. Malleus' name echoed in whispers, even among deities, who spoke of him as a legend. He began His conquest by slaughtering human armies and wove massive, thorny barriers around the lands, as a warning to those who opposed him. Years prior, Malleus suffered a tragic loss when his parents fell victim to human greed, he watches how they died leaving him behind with a growing fury that was beginning to show.
He was invincible yet at the same time he was not.
Malleus had an unfortunate encounter with the Knight of Dawn who was unexpectedly strong, one he didn't account for causing him to withdraw from the fight and go to the human realm. Staggering onto the floor, he lifted his hand that held the wound and for the first time in his long life, he saw his own blood.
"Is this the end of me?" he wondered aloud. The thought was supposed to fill him with dread, yet he felt only a strange numbness. His vision blurred, and through the haze, he saw a faint light in the distance. With the last of his strength, he transformed himself into the form of a child, hiding his horns and masking his true identity.
As you approached, your steps quickened, and soon you were by his side. "Tsunotaro/Hornton!" you exclaimed, your voice a mixture of relief and worry.
Warm hands caressed his head as you carefully lifted him, cradling him in your arms. The touch was gentle, filled with a tenderness that seemed foreign to him.
"You're safe now," you whispered, your eyes meeting his. "I'll take care of you."
In that fleeting moment, Malleus felt a flicker of something he hadn't felt in centuries.
Your kindness, and your warmth soothing voice.
He fell in love with you at that moment.

Lilia Vanrouge was the right hand-man to Malleus Draconia. He was a formidable presence on the battlefield, known for his unmatched skill and undefeated record. Demons often wondered why he was so steadfastly loyal to the Fae demon, but Lilia always responded with a chuckle and a distant look on his eyes, leaving their questions unanswered. The truth was too heavy to be put into words.
One day, during a mission, a sudden downpour forced him to seek shelter in a nearby cabin. As he entered, he noticed you sleeping peacefully inside, completely oblivious to the world around you.
"Oya, a human?" Lilia murmured, his voice tinged with curiosity and amusement.
You stirred, slowly opening your eyes and groggily taking in his figure. As your eyes widened in recognition of his presence, Lilia chuckled. He waited for you to run or even scream, but he was a little baffled when you didn't.
"Why aren't you running away?" he asked, genuinely intrigued.
As he strode towards you, you backed into a corner, your body trembling slightly but your gaze steady. Lilia could see the a tiny fear in your eyes, but there was something else—an emotion he couldn't quite place.
He chuckled again, convinced you were like all the others, paralyzed by fear. The sooner he finished this, the sooner it would be over for you. But as he stared into your defiant eyes, his interest began to wane. Killing you or letting you live, it was all the same to him. You seemed to be an ordinary human, an innocent bystander. Despite his ruthlessness, Lilia could still discern the innocence of villagers compared to the armored soldiers who dared to challenge him and his king.
"Scram before I kill you," he growled, expecting you to flee.
You flinched, finally showing the reaction he had anticipated. A smirk tugged at his lips as he stepped back to give you space. You hesitated, clearly torn between about something else. He noticed your hesitation and waited, curious to see what you would do next.
"Are... Are you okay?" you asked, your voice trembling yet sincere.
Out of all things, Lilia didn't expect the words coming from your mouth and was baffled by your question. He frowned and stared at you in disbelief.
"Hah? What's with that question?"
"You seemed to be in a lot of pain."
Lilia was momentarily confused. He glanced at his body, but there were no visible wounds. "Are you joking with me right now?" he snapped, irritation creeping into his voice.
His irritation grew, and his eyes began to glow ominously in the dim cabin light. Before he could confront you further, the door burst open, and a group of bandits stormed in. Lilia fought them off, dispatching them one by one until the cabin was silent once more. When he turned back, you were gone.
The encounter left him more puzzled and angry than before, your strange concern lingering in his mind. He shook his head, dismissing the thought, and stepped back out into the rain, his mission was still unfinished though he had to admit,
His curiosity was piqued.

Jamil Viper was a servant, a role he despised with every fiber of his being. Born into a lineage of servitude, he served the Al-Asim family, a low-ranking demon forever overshadowed by his masters. Bitterness simmered in his heart as he watched his young master, Kalim Al-Asim, bask in the praise for achievements that were, in truth, Jamil’s own.
When he was finally alone after from a long day, the snakes in his hair hissed, their whispers filling his ears with sinister suggestions. He grinned maniacally, nodding in agreement with their silent musing.
"Ahaha... HAHAHA! Let's do that."
Jamil accompanied Kalim Al-Asim into an abandoned village nearby, the air thick with an eerie silence. They had received a note earlier that some of their fellow demons had been captured by humans, and now they were searching for them among the buildings and overgrown pathways. Kalim without a second thought, quickly urge the two of them thus they ended up here.
As they moved through the streets, Jamil's mind churned with racing thoughts. He turned his back on Kalim, whispering an enchantment under his breath, his fingers tracing intricate patterns in the air. This was a trap for Kalim, a plan to finally rid himself of the young master who had stolen his praise and glory. The snakes in his hair hissed approvingly, sensing the impending betrayal.
But suddenly, their mission took an unexpected turn. A knight of the Royal Sword, clad in gleaming armor and wielding a weapon, appeared out of nowhere. The knight charged at them, his blade gleaming in the dim light.
"You demons are going to pay for what you did!" the knight roared, his voice echoing through the empty streets.
Jamil and Kalim both attack the knight. They switch back and forth before the both of them were hit. Kalim merely has small wounds while Jamil took a brunt most of the attack. As much as he hates to admit, the years of servitude cause him to automatically protect kalim much to his dismay. Jamil was furious. He was about to whisper some enchantment when he notice his wound would not regenerate. Kalim noticed the same as he glance over at Jamil, worry was written on his face.
"Hahaha! What do you think you demons!"
"Tch, this isn't over just you wait!" Kalim yelled as he summons his unique magic making the Knight distracted.
They retreat, but was separated in the way. Injured and disoriented, Jamil walk until he couldn't. He rest for a bit before being discovered by a child, whose eyes wide with fear. Before Jamil could react, the child shouted for the villagers, their voices rising in alarm. Panic surged through him, and he forced himself to flee once more, his movements clumsy and desperate. He barely made it to a secluded area before collapsing, the world spinning around him.
This was not part of his plan. He had been so close to success until the knight appeared. Without a word, Jamil transformed himself to hide his identity, appearing as an innocent child. He stayed still on the floor and couldn't move. How laughable the plan was. It didn't do anything for his longed wish for freedom. He stayed still, waiting for his wounds to heal. After a while, he heard footsteps approaching and stayed silent as he wait. He readies himself by planning to flee once again until he heard your voice.
"Jamil!"
He opened his eyes to see you, relief washing over your face. You ran to him and gently caressed his head.
"You're okay now," you reassured him, picking him up. Jamil was frozen in place, glaring at you inwardly.
How dare a mere human touch him.
He lifted his hand, inches from your neck, his mind racing with dark thoughts.
'What will be your expression when I hurt you?' he wondered, grinning evilly. But then he looked into your eyes.
You stared down at him as you carried him, smiling with relief, tears glistening in your eyes.
"Jamil," you whispered softly.
He stopped. Something about your genuine concern and tenderness made him pause. You carried him to safety, caressing his head all the while. He closed his eyes, thoughts swirling in his mind.
'Ah, I'm going to kidnap you after I recover and make you my trophy pet,' he thought to himself, a twisted smile forming on his lips. Yet, for now, he allowed himself to be carried.

I just had this brain rot about mc/yuu/y/n travel through time to save your lover in the current timeline just like what happened in Kamisama Hajimemashita kako-hen. (an anime) mc/yuu/y/n cared for the past lover just like Nanami did for Tomoe. And the roller coaster of keeping mc/yuu/y/n identity as a secret like qjwkldkfjq
TWST characters
Leona Kingscholar | Malleus Draconia | Lilia Vanrouge | Jamil Viper
I'm not sure about the others but I don't know, it would be interesting. Its only a thought

𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔖𝔩𝔢𝔢𝔭𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝕮𝖚𝖗𝖘𝖊 𝔓𝔞𝔯𝔱 2
Part 1 here (I recommend you to read this first before continuing this.
Sypnosis: The reader didn't know what caused them to fall asleep thus Vil planned to help them.
Warning: the reader is not Yuu but a dorm member of Pomefiore.
You were dreaming.
A faint sense of consciousness lingered as you wandered aimlessly through a visionless, blurry landscape. For the first time in weeks, you found yourself dreaming. Despite the surrounding a blur, a wave of nostalgia washed over you as you walked around. The more you moved, the clearer the scenery became. You recognized this place and began reminiscing about old memories.
The air was warm, neither cold nor hot. The wind caressed your skin, yet no sound came from all around. You fluttered your hand and noticed there was nothing around you. It should have alarmed you, but it did not. Instead, a strange numbness and drowsiness overcame you, making you feel as though you could pass out at any moment. But you remembered this was supposed to be a dream.
You felt numb and drowsy.
It felt like you could pass out at any moment, but you remembered it was supposed to be a dream.
If it was a dream, how could everything feel so real?
Feeling uneasy and anxious, you glanced around, hoping for a change of scenery. That was when you noticed a strange forest nearby. Light illuminated from behind it, and without your conscious intent, your body moved forward into the forest.
Everything blurred once more.
You woke up again in another place, but this time it was your dorm lobby. The room was filled with all sorts of decorations, indicative of a celebration.
You remembered.
Your dorm was celebrating Pomefiore's achievement, yet you recalled feeling uneasy, as if something ominous was about to happen. But you couldn’t remember exactly what.
Glancing around, you noticed the table filled with an array of food and gifts from the other dorms. It all became hazy from there before your view was block with purple and gold cloth. A scent you couldn't deciper enveloped around you before a voice calls out to you though you couldn't make out what they were saying. You looked up at their blurry face in confusion, trying to speak. Suddenly, something was placed on your skin, and everything went black again.
.
.
.
.
.
You flinched and sighed, accepting your fate. Your housewarden glared at you in disappointment. Glancing around, you noticed that your vice housewarden was nowhere to be seen. Earlier, he had knocked on your door, announcing that the housewarden was calling for you.
"Greetings, Mademoiselle Little Flower, how are you? Did you rest well? Oh, before that, Roi de Poison asked me to inform you that he wants to meet you at the library this morning. I'm afraid I can't accompany you as much as I'd like to. You see, being a vice housewarden involves a lot of work—oh! Look at the time! See you later, Mademoiselle Little Flower, take care!"
And off he went.
You got ready for the day, but then you were hit with another dizzy spell, causing you to lean against the wall and gently fall to the ground. By the time you managed to wake up, it was already afternoon.
.
.
.
"My apologies, Vil-san..." you weakly said as you bowed your head. Silence followed, and you didn't dare to look up, fearing his reaction. The weight of his gaze felt like it could pierce your very soul, and for a moment, you thought he might kill you.
"Sigh, you're forgiven. Sit down here." You looked up just as he motioned toward the chair in front of him. Wordlessly, you sat down, waiting patiently. Silence enveloped the two of you as Vil placed a book on the table beside him. You were surprised to see an enormous pile of books on alchemy and potions, topics some you recognized well.
"I've done some research and want you to try out a potion I made to see if it'll work for you. But then you made me wait for hours." You gulped, nervously meeting his eyes, which flickered with irritation before he slid the book toward you.
"And also, I informed the teachers about your delicate situation. They told me they'll try to find a solution regarding your curse. And, of course, you do not need to worry about your classes." Vil turned the book toward you, a smirk playing on his lips.
"All you've missed in class will be taught by myself, along with advancements in some subjects."
"What?!" you exclaimed, unable to hide your surprise.
"You should rejoice at being taught by me. Not many people have the privilege of being tutored by me," he replied, his smirk widening. Despite his words, you felt a pang of fear. He narrowed his eyes, the smirk never leaving his face.
"And we should also discuss your daily routine. We cannot let your delicate matter interfere with your skincare regimen."
.
.
.
You've fallen asleep many times, much to your dismay and Vil's. He had given you many potions to test, but without fail, your head always ended up on the table. Vil sighed in exasperation before rubbing his temples and muttering,
"Even with my skills in potion-making, I couldn't make your curse less effective."
You could only join his frustration by simply nodding in defeat. Each attempt, each hopeful sip, ended the same way—your eyes drooping and consciousness slipping away.
You fell asleep once more.
.
.
.
Sometime later, Rook appeared with a beaming smile that could rival the sunshine of Scarabia, only for his lips to curl downward when Vil disapproved of his idea.
"No," Vil said firmly.
"But it could work, no? Just like the fairytale—"
"Tell me, have you seen or heard that they were in love with someone?" Vil interrupted.
"No?" Rook replied, a bit confused.
"Exactly my point. There is no way I'm letting anyone kiss their lips with greasy or chapped lips from potatoes."
"Um, do I have a say in this?" you tried to join the conversation, only to be met with Vil's fierce eyes.
"Absolutely not," he responded with finality.
.
.
.
"Mademoiselle Little Flower, may I ask if something happened that caused you to be cursed?" Rook's voice broke the tense silence as you looked at him, frowning slightly. You tried to remember, but nothing came to mind. You hadn't had any conflicts or done anything that would provoke such a curse. You had been quite occupied with your routines.
"Not that I'm aware of," you finally replied after a moment of contemplation.
"Have you eaten anything suspicious?" Rook asked further.
"Um, no? Just the usual from my routine," you answered, feeling perplexed.
"What did you eat at the celebration?" Vil's voice cut in after a period of silence. You turned to look at him and found him already staring at you, causing you to look away instinctively.
"Um, I couldn't recall... Fruits and desserts, I guess?" You furrowed your brow in thought. Despite not remembering exactly what you ate, you recalled an odd dream from last night. It felt so surreal, yet the scent lingered faintly in your memory. If you were to guess again, it would be something sweet or sour.
You closed your eyes, feeling your vision grow hazy once more. A hand reached out to your face, prompting you to open your eyes. Vil's light purple eyes met yours, and you were surprised to see worry flicker across his expression before he composed himself.
"I think we're done for today, lets do this for another time."
He stood up and pick up his stuff whilst Rook and you exchange glances. He shake his head and held his hands in the air saying he too was puzzled by Vil's action before all of you left the library. As the three of you left the library, you glanced upward and weren't surprised to see that night had already descended. You turned around and nearly bumped into Vil, but he caught you by the shoulder, steadying you. His scent enveloped you—something familiar yet elusive, stirring a memory you couldn't quite grasp.
"Are you alright Y/N?"
What's the matter?
"Yes, just light headed."
I'm fine just tired V꙲i꙲l꙲-s꙲a꙲n꙲
There was a tension in the air, a mix of urgency and uncertainty, as Vil scrutinized your form before nodding slightly.
"Would you still like us to accompany you, or do you think you can handle yourself?" Vil asked, his tone measured.
"No, no, no, Roi de Poison! We must accompany them back to the dorm. We don't want our Mademoiselle Little Flower falling asleep on the ground somewhere just like earlier, do we?" Rook said giving Vil a horrendous gaze when he even suggest such a thing
"I suppose not," Vil relented, giving you a faint smile.
You smiled as they continue bickering Before you knew it, you were back in the dorm lobby. Vil and Rook turned to look at you as you bid them goodbye.
"I'm really sorry that I took up so much of your time. I know you both are very busy, and I appreciate you caring about me even though I don't have much useful information," you said earnestly.
"It's alright, Mademoiselle Little Flower. The continued effort to find a solution is what matters," Rook reassured you.
"I agree with that, Vil added with a nod.
Rook hugged you tightly, a wave of emotion washed over you, causing tears to well up in your eyes. Vil merely smiles on your way. You smiled once more, acknowledging him, but couldn't shake the hidden suspicion that lingered in your mind.
The scent from your dreams—sweet and spicy, with a floral undertone—had stirred something familiar within you.
It was similar to Vil's perfume earlier. You wondered if you had spoken with him at the celebration, but then realized it was inevitable given that you were in the same dorm and he was your housewarden. Yet, despite these logical connections, an anxious feeling gnawed at you.
What had happened during the celebration that you couldn't remember? Why was it all a blur? Were you overthinking, or was there something significant that eluded your memory?
"Is there something in my face Y/N? "
What's the matter, you look unwell.
You blink your eyes and suddenly feel flushed. You've been staring at Vil for quite sometime causing Vil and Rook look at you when they notice you hadn't said anything for a while. They continued to look at you, one was amused, and one was concerned. You finally reply with a flushed ears.
"I'm fine, just caught up by what had happened. It's just overwhelming," you explained, hoping to ease their concern. They seemed to relax slightly at your words, though doubt still lingered in their expressions. Rook smiled warmly at you before gently urging you to return to your room. You waved them goodbye and left them behind, the weight of their gazes following you down the hall.
Vil's eyes remained fixed on your retreating figure before he turned to Rook, who wore a knowing smile.
"What is it now, Rook?" Vil asked, folding his arms.
"Say Vil, did you perhaps talk to them at the celebration?" Rook continued to smile as he asked.
"Yes I did, is there something wrong with that?" Vil folded his arms as he questioned.
"But did something happen?"
"Yes, there was. They were tipsy from alcohol that wasn't supposed to be at the celebration. Those unwelcome potatoes might have something to do with it. I escorted them somewhere nearby so they could sit down. That's all," Vil explained tersely. They sized each other up, exchanging unspoken understanding, before Rook chuckled softly.
"I'll let you keep your secret, Roi de Poison. But when the time comes, you'll have to face it," Rook remarked cryptically.
Vil's plastered a smile at Rook. "As expected of my vice housewarden. Your perceptiveness is keen, to say the least." With that, Vil turned and started walking away. "I'm off to bed."
Rook remained, watching Vil depart with an amused expression. "Oh, Mademoiselle Little Flower, be prepared for what happens next. Once beauty sets its eyes on a flower, it'll never be swayed again," he mused to himself, a hint of mischief in his tone.
~~~~~
"What's the matter? You look unwell, Y/N," Vil's voice cut through the haze around you. He frowned, detecting the scent of alcohol on your breath, and muttered in disappointment.
"I'm fine, just tired, Vil-san," you managed to slur out, clearly intoxicated.
"Did someone bring alcohol into the celebration? Sigh I'll inform Rook about this and reprimand whoever is responsible."
You still looked dazed as you frowned at him, muttering incoherently.
"If you have something to say, speak up. Don't mutter to yourself," he urged, but before you could respond, you slumped forward in front of him.
"You seem nice and kind," you giggled softly, struggling to stay upright in his presence.
"Excuse me?" Vil was taken aback.
"I thought you were somewhat cold before. When I first met you, I found you intimidating," you continued, your speech interrupted by hiccups and slurred words. "But then I learned about all your achievements, how you handle things, and how fairly you treat us."
"You're an amazing leader—smart, perceptive, everything I look forward to in class," you confessed, clinging to his clothes for balance, cheeks flushed from the alcohol. Unaware of his growing stillness, you continued pouring out your thoughts.
"Hm, you might not remember this but you help me before. When we were newly freshman year, I was lost and was somehow got into a forest, I think it was a maze from the heartslabyul... You calmed me down when you stayed with me, even when I accidentally dirtied your prim clothes. It was improper for a pomefiore student yet you didn't reprimand me. And I thank you for that"
Vil gently guided you into a nearby chair, standing in front of you in silence. He stayed silent for a while before tilting his upper body forward, he placed his hand on your cheeks as he wordlessly stares at your eyes. You could only stare at him in confusion when he open his mouth and closes it again.
"Of course, I would help you. You were a fellow dorm member." Vil chuckles under his breath.
"But perhaps you also don't remember this," Vil lifted your chin gently with his fingers, his touch tender. He kissed your forehead gently, holding you close for a moment before releasing you. Your eyelids drooped with drowsiness.
"Do you remember the time you wandered onto the set when we were children? You looked so bored while everyone else was busy," Vil reminisced, a nostalgic smile playing on his lips.
"You noticed me practicing my lines and kept me company," he continued, his expression softening at the memory. "Then the boy playing the protagonist arrived, wanting you to be his pretend princess."
"But you, stubborn little potato," Vil chuckled again, "you refused and suggested I be your prince instead, your protagonist."
"You kissed me then, just as I did now," Vil recounted, his tone fond as he stroked your cheek gently. As he noticed you finally drift off to sleep, a tender smile graced his lips.
"You once told me you wanted to see me in a play where I could survive like the protagonist. I haven't achieved that yet, but for now, rest well."
"𝔖𝔩𝔢𝔢𝔭."
The Vizier's Diamond in the Rough
In which you transmigrate in time into the past after you receive an enchantment wrist bangle. But the thing is, it was also the era where the notorious schemer ruled the kingdom by hypnotizing the Sultan.
Warning: gn reader. Pharaoh's concubine reference but Aladdin setting (younger jafar and the sultan) Head taller Jamil. Different story plot soon after.
(Really recommend Pharaoh's concubine.)
The wrist bangle was given to you by your brother as a gift. Your birthday was several days ahead, yet that didn't stop him from giving it to you early. Despite living in another country for work, he always makes sure to have time with you.
You opened it on the day of your birthday and carefully unwrapped the delicate ribbon under your hands. To your utter astonishment, your brother gifted you the most sought-after jewelry that was worth thousands at auction. You were perplexed by the precious gift your brother had given you and didn't know what to do. Your were greatful yet at the time, it felt overwhelming to receive it. You called your brother and was relief when he pick up after quite sometime.
"Happy birthday, dear sister. What brings your attention to call me? Shouldn't you be enjoying the time of your birthday?" You knew by the sound of his voice that he exactly knew why you called. "Oh, did you open mine? If so, was the jewelry to your liking?" he continued.
For a moment, you felt like you lived a millionaire's life despite being a middle-class citizen and a student at that.
"The jewelry was exquisite, it puts me beyond words for how much of an invaluable gift you have given me, dear brother. Not! How many times do I have to tell you I don't need expensive stuff." You huff as you admire the bangle snake design in hand despite your defiance short ago. It had diamonds on the side, and you didn't question their worth; what caught you more was the ruby that lay as the eyes of the golden snake.
In the middle of conversation, you place the dangle on your wrist, and to your surprise and horror, it glows brightly, making you turn your head away. Your wrist felt warmer, and even your closed eyes didn't help the brightness that surrounded you, and you blackened.
.
.
.
You woke up to the sensation of someone's hand shaking you. You didn't realize you were sleeping until someone who was unknown to you kept calling you. From your blurry eyes, you notice a woman with an unusual outfit, speaking a language that you knew you couldn't understand, but you did. Confused, you tried to speak, but the rasp in your voice stopped you. The lady brought out a glass of water and gave it to you. You mouthed a thank you and gulped down the remnants of the water.
"Young lady, what are you doing in the middle of the dessert?"
"I was?" You didn't know, the last memory you remember was your room. So how?
"Yes, I had help with a young man who was a gentleman who carried you here. He was quite a handsome man, young lady." You frowned and ignored her last words in favor of worrying for your brother, who was on the call when it happened. Has it already been a few days? Weeks?
"Can I ask, where am I?"
"You can. We are in the Kingdom of Agrabah, and Oh! My Apologies! Would you be alright if I leave you here whilst I work in the palace? You can stay here for as long as you wish." For a moment, you felt your world drop as she uttered her words and momentarily had a dilemma. You didn't know what to do; after all, how did you appear here?
Your eyes fell onto your wrist, and you saw you were still wearing the dangle. Remembering it shone before it took you here, you tried to take it off but to no avail. Taking one last look at the culprit, you turn your head towards her and remember you still haven't answered.
"Oh no, no, I couldn't do that. Let me join you, please. I could help you in some way, er-do you mind?" The kingdom existed hundreds of years ago and only made it into the history books. You couldn't stay at her abode for fear of potential danger because this town was filled with thieves according to history, and you also didn't want to stay longer than you should have. You also wanted to know someone in this era to help you adjust to this place for some time. With that in mind, you were determined to accompany her.
"I don't mind, but you should rest and stay the night. Tomorrow you can help, but for now, rest for all you need."
You sigh in relief, despite having to stay for the night, it was enough for you. You nodded before she left the room, and your expression dropped soon after she left. You looked out the window beside you with different emotions. Whatever shall you do?
.
.
.
The next day, entering the palace was an easy feat. Some guards didn't bat an eye as the two of you passed, and soon enough you were led to the kitchen, where people were tirelessly working. The workers were in sync as they passed the plates to each other while they moved side by side. You were confused as to what to do before the lady who accompanied you motioned for you to get closer and whispered something in your ear before tilting her head in another direction. You recognized the stack of white linens, and you knew you had to wash them judging from the stains that were hiding beneath.
She muttered a thank you and went along with her chores, as did you. It was quite heavier than it looks, yet you didn't give up and continued. You were glad the corridor leading to another side didn't have people passing by, but you wondered if you moved on the right way. You forgot to ask the lady, but you were too afraid to head back now. With a downcast expression, you didn't realize you bumped into someone until you took a step back from the force and almost fell down.
You quickly muttered an apology and moved to the side to get a clearer view. Your heart drops as you notice the garments that are often mentioned in the history of a certain royal vizier. Black clothing with a red cape, the snake design staff with red rubies, and black hair—you felt stupid for not thinking he couldn't appear before you.
Jamil Viper is the vizier of the kingdom of Agrabah and the right-hand man of Kalim al-Asim, the current sultan.
He brushes the dust off his shoulder, and much to your dismay, you had to crane your neck upward just to see his face as your height reaches just below his shoulder. He wore a neutral expression as his eyes fell over your form, and you felt uneasy under his stare. His silence was intimidating.
"If you were assigned to washing, the area was on another building."
"O-oh, I see. Thank you and my apologies."
You were honestly surprised and grateful at his advice, but you sensed something was wrong when he still didn't move and continued staring at you. You tried to call out for him, but he nodded at something before continuing on his stride, making you confused over his actions. For the few seconds he stared at you, you felt a faint sense of fuzziness, but it was gone the minute he walked away. You knew it was still in effect, but it was less than before and disappeared completely when he was nowhere to be seen. Did he try his sorcery?
Your eyes fell onto your wrist and saw the glow in its ruby. Without a second thought, you lifted your arm and tried to lay it under the sun for a clearer view, wondering what lies it beholds, ignoring what happened a few seconds earlier. A hand shot out and grasped your forearm, causing you to flinch back in shock. The hand was firm in their hold as they moved it to the side of their face. Jamil Viper, in all glory, stood before you as he assessed the dangle; his eyes were a glowing shade of red.
"Where did you get this?" His voice was low as he muttered his question, still looking at the dangle. You were alarm as he came out of nowhere, the white linens laid forgotten as you tried to move away but was unsuccessful.
"I-" Your words betray you, as you were under his hold. His eyes flicker towards you, and he grasps your forearm tighter and moves it closer.
"Where.Did.You.Get.This."
"Let go!" You pulled your arm away, glaring at him while the force pulled you back. The familiar light shone from your wrist, and his expression flickered with anxiety, anger, and frustration.
"You-"
Your vision turns black again, but this time you stay awake for a few minutes before passing out on the ground as soon as you notice you made it back home.
"I saw y/n had a special mark on the back of her hand. It was very similar to you father..." Silver said as he sat on the couch in front of Lilia, who pondered at his words before plastering a smile between his lips. He wore a carefree expression, his back lay comfortably on the backrest, and a hand rested on the side of his face. The glove covered what was underneath. If Silver didn't know him at all, he would guess Lilia was merely uninterested, yet he knew he wasn't. His eyes were the ones that gave him away.
"Is that so? Do tell what type of design she had, maybe we could help her find her soulmate in this world." The two men in the room knew Lilia was avoiding the topic, yet Silver still continued.
"It was beautiful...A bat was covered with intricate design..." Silver nodded off while mumbling his words before he fell asleep.
Lilia chuckled as sleep finally consumed Silver, who laid his head on the side of the couch. He floats behind him and places a blanket over his large form, patting his head gently while his lips turn downward. His eyes held a forlorn gaze while staring at the ceiling.
"She would be unhappy if she stayed with me."
~~~
Lilia was no fool. He had seen her soulmark by accident when they were paired to get some ingredients in the botanical garden. He remembered it as if it were yesterday.
The brightness shone from the transparent glass from the ceiling as they made their way, their feet scrunching from the ground while Lilia stayed in front of y/n, who, unbeknownst to him, had her gaze on him the moment they had paired.
They were quiet, to say the least. Lilia was in deep thought while y/n called out for him before placing her hand on his shoulder, catching his attention.
"Lilia?"
Said person turned his head, and the first thing he saw was the black ink on the back of her hand. His eyes widened slightly before his face returned to a neutral expression. It can't be right?
"What's wrong, y/n?" She paused for a moment and shook her head.
"Nothing, are you alright?"
"Hm? What made you think of that?" y/n merely smiled and continued on their way.
"Just a question."
.
.
.
After some early duties, Lilia floats towards the classroom with bats in tow. He greeted the other students by scaring them, watching in amusement as they let out a sheer scream and left bewildered.
He chuckled and sat down in an empty chair with no neighbor. The bell chimed before students sat in their respective places while Lilia's partner seemed to disappear, late mayhaps. He zoned out for a while as their teacher called out their names before a student barged in, panicked and disheveled.
"y/n-"
"Here!"
Her eyes glanced around the room before they fell onto the empty seat beside Lilia. She mumbled her apologies to their teacher as she made her way towards the table. The textbooks lay on top with a soft thud as she sat down and greeted Lilia with a smile, who smiled in return. For a few moments, Lilia's attention was distracted by the warmth emitting from y/n. The classroom wasn't cold per se; the fairies did their job well, yet he felt the room was cold aside from the figure beside him. He didn't know.
His eyes flickered towards y/n, whose attention was solely on the board in front of them. He admires the way her eyes focused on the lesson, her nose scrunched a little, and her eyes furrowed. Turning his attention back to the board, he let a small smile grace his lips.
This distance was enough.
.
.
.
They fall into a routine without him realizing it. He would always sit in the middle row (I don't know where his seat was, but anyway-) and she always sat by his side. The pair still didn't talk much with each other, and Lilia was rather optimistic about their situation. This continued for the next few days; she would smile at him after they sat down, and he was the first to leave at the end of the lessons, excusing himself for the sake of duties that were equal to non at the moment. The trio noticed how odd his actions were and started asking him questions, which he denied.
"Lilia, are you sure you are okay? Have your duties occupied your time?" Malleus was the first to ask. Silver appeared beside him, and one glance at Lilia was all it took to know what dilemma Lilia was facing.
"Father, is this about your bond? If so, why are you avoiding her?" Lilia was grateful that he didn't mention her name, as he felt his resolve was weakening.
"Romance is not for me, Silver... I am afraid she needed someone who was lively and much closer in age rather than someone who could be her grandpa at best." Lilia plastered a smile, watching the other frown, and Malleus turned to both of them, confused for a moment before recognition was written on his face. His lips opened before closing as he withdrew his words. He sighs and turns to Silver, who bowed and left the two in the lounge. The air shifted as they sat down on the couch, just like Lilia and Silver did before, but with Malleus.
"I never thought you would resort to this action." Malleus said after a beat of silence passed by them.
"It's for the best."
"And what part is the best?"
"For her to realize someone was much more worth than a soldier myself."- Lilia pursed his lips-" And for that, I made a decision."
Malleus was quiet. He too knew the risk of loving a human and would one day watch them before they took their last breath. He fully understood his position, yet he wondered.
"Lilia." He breathes, looking at him in the eyes, and for once, Lilia saw the young prince was starting to mature. "You taught us to appreciate our surroundings more, even the people around us. Enjoying their presence before they soon went somewhere were a very long time for us to reach."
This time, Lilia was the one who was quiet as he listened.
"What's wrong with loving a human despite the difference between the two of you? " For once, Lilia's words that helped others and sometimes himself failed him at the most important moment of his life. He knew what Malleus said was true; after all, the answer was already on the table and hadn't been noticed despite the signs being already there.
The times when y/n thought she was good at hiding her excitement were when he was near. The way her eyes crinkled in amusement and the way she beamed—even a small gesture made by him could bring her happiness—she stayed by his side without fail.
"Have you found your answer?"
Lilia's smile widened before he nodded at the tall man, his mood had already lifted.
"Fufufu of course."
"Then we shall wait for your breakthrough, Lilia."
.
.
.
The next day, Lilia found her sitting below a tree. He admired how the sun added to her complexion as she lay on the ground, basking in the free time she had with a sandwich on hand. He floated towards her, careful not to make a sound as he floated upward. His vision turned upside down as he fell just inches away from her face as he surprised her.
"Boo!"
"Eek! Lilia?!" The sandwich on her hand almost fell to the ground before she composed herself and chuckled.
"Goodevening Lilia-san." y/n surprises him as she offers the extra sandwich she had, but he refuses. After all, y/n needed it more than he did, yet she didn't take no for an answer, and he had to bite to appease her command. His attention drifted away from the deluxe sandwich, and he almost forgot the reason why he came.
"y/n dear, do you mind if I stay with you?"
"Sure." She replied easily, and he sat down in front of her. The pair ate in silence as their attention drifted into their thoughts. Lilia, who became bolder, sat down beside her, making her surprised by his actions. She wanted to ask, yet she didn't, enjoying his presence more than she ever admitted which he too didn't realize as he watched how her lips curled up in a smile easily. He was pleased by the turn of events and glanced at the sky, wishing for something he wouldn't say.
Lilia didn't want to rely solely on the mark that binds between them, he wanted her to fall for him without the mark telling them which choices they would make.
.
.
.
There were notable changes between the two pairs as they made their way towards the library. Even the three sons (Sebek is also his son okay?) noticed how the bat seemed to be at ease and happier. Lilia no longer played hide-and-seek. He was also always at her company, which she didn't mind. This continued for days, and unbeknownst to them both, they were slowly developing some affection for each other, yet y/n couldn't shake the feeling of guilt as they met during their usual routine. Lilia noticed her growing distance and wasn't afraid to ask her, despite the growing uncertainty that crossed his head. Does she finally know?
"y/n is something bothering you?"
"A-ah no..." Her eyes were still distant as she looked at the book spine. Lilia stood there, silently observing before he asked the question that had been nagging him before.
"Was it something connected to your mark?"
She freezes under his stare and drops her quest to find the book they need.
"I'm not sure." y/n didn't lie. She didn't know how to bring up something without alarming him about something she had known for a very long time. She sat down on a chair nearby and let out a small sigh.
Her confused expression was enough for him. His face softened, he floats at her side, and he sits down, watching how she seems nervous.
"You knew?" Lilia was calm, whilst y/n face reddened by shame.
"I thought if I did that, somehow a part of you would accept my presence. It
was fine even if it wouldn't do me any favors."
Lilia watched intently while she was trying to explain her reason. He breathed and smiled, catching her off guard as he took off his gloves and clasped her hand in his, holding their soulmark together. He relishes the warmth of her hands in his, admiring their mark together while they stay silent in each other's presence.
"I admit, I was a fool. I'm sorry for disregarding your opinion because I thought it was the best." He was, for the days he spent avoiding her. Ah, he felt like a buffoon.
"I know." she replies, laying her head on his shoulder, her hair tickling his neck as the faintly sweet-scented rose surrounded them as he inhaled. Her presence not only calmed him but also acknowledged that the one for him was here, right by his side.
"Are you sure you wanted to stay with me? I am nothing but an old man."
"I'm sure."
Thank you, y/n
Whaaa thank you for the wait, i'm sorry for taking too long to post. As for Lilia, i'm sorry for making him a bit ooc.😖

The Trickster
Welcome to the show~
Summary: In which Epel forces you to come with him to a show where a certain magician tried to win your heart.
"Welcome, my dear guests." A voice echoes around you as the lights turn on, surrounding the whole area with different colors. The people around you cheered in anticipation as they waited for the magician's arrival. Even your friend Epel Felmier, who was sitting at your side, leapt up from his seat and screamed louder with his hands cupping his cheeks.
The whole area was buzzing with excitement as you quietly watched the whole ordeal. You were already content to simply watch in silence while Epel begged to differ. He threw a massive fit earlier in the day, convincing you to come and liven up your life rather than staying over to watch your parents shop while they're away.
You ask him how a show could liven up your life when you have responsibilities, and he shrugs.
"Just come and watch, will ya? When was the last time you had fun? Come on, have I ever asked you anything?"
That shuts you up. He also uses puppy doll eyes, which he knew you couldn't refuse. They stare at your soul, begging and trapping you in their hue. Who were you to decline?
You begrudgingly happily closed the shop and accompanied the smirking Epel, and that led you here. The area's noises slowly dwindled as the magician still had yet to arrive with his appearance despite his voice calling out earlier, until a lady screamed from the side, earning your attention, and low and behold, the magician stood right behind her, stiffling his laughter while his whole demeanor showed amusement.
He wore a black long-sleeve tuxedo with white and red heart patterns on his collar and pants. The edges of his tuxedo had gold embroidered patterns, while the sides of his arms were covered with small red hearts ending just below his hand. He also had white gloves and a hat that were similar to the colors that he wears. His whole face, except the part on his lips, was covered with a mask. On the left side of his face, he also had a red heart shape just besides the eye.
His physique leans more on the younger side, maybe even the same age as yours. You expected him to be a middle-aged man or older, judging by the rumors swirling around, but then again, don't judge a book by its cover. The whole area erupted in cheers as they noticed the magician, whose upper body bent slowly as he bowed towards his audience. He slowly lifted himself up and turned to the other person beside him, grinning.
"Hey, mister, can I borrow your cloak a bit?"
"A-ah sure!"
Definitely young.
The people around you stayed silent as they watched what he would do. He lifted the cloak close to himself and turned to the audience with a smirk. He twirled himself around as you watched intently before the cloak fell to the ground and he disappeared. The audience gasps and murmurs. The lights turn to a single position on the stage, with the magician standing in the center. Epel raised his fist in the air as he cheered, while you clapped along with the others.
"I'm sorry for the long wait; I was unfortunately held up for a second." He clicked his finger, and smoke soon covered the ground. He appeared on the other side of the building with a pen in his hand. He twirled it around as he moved around with a laid-back demeanor.
"But I had it under control. Now who wants a show?"
The audience replied with screams and buzzed with excitement, while the magician chuckled before stiffling in laughter at the attention. Why did he laugh? You didn't know.
"Haha! My bad, teehee, I'm afraid I'll need some help with my performance. Who was willing to come up on stage?"
Some volunteered by raising their hands in the air, while others seemed reluctant. The magician tilted his head to the side; his fluffy orange hair swayed just a little, and he plastered a smirk.
"Don't be shy; I won't let anything bad happen to all of you. My tricks are harmless," he assures. You watch in fascination as they seem to follow his words and raise their hands. He picked some of them up before moving them to the stage. He instructed them by whispering in their ears, making the audience curious. Epel, who seemed to be quiet, took the popcorn out of nowhere and offered you some of it. You helped yourself, munched the cheese-flavored popcorn, and waited.
"Tch, it's taking quite some time, Epel mumbled for your ears to hear. You hum in acknowledgement as you watch the magician smile throughout the whole process.
He was at ease.
You noted how he was still laid-back and wondered if he wasn't pressured at all. Instead, he looked thoroughly enjoying his work as he moved in another direction and onto the next; despite the growing frustration of some audience members, he took the time to talk with them. He moved his gaze around and soon noticed your stare, which he assumed was directed at you.
The mask on his face also hides his eyes, which made it hard to tell what he was looking at for a moment, yet you stared. You didn't seem shy looking at him and instead faced him without meaning to. He let a smile grace his lips, very different from the way he smiles at others. He mouthed something in your direction, and you tilted your head in confusion before he clapped hands, earning the attention around him.
"At long last, let the show begin!"
You wondered about something he had said but shrugged it off with the thought that maybe it was directed at someone else; it would be really awkward if you thought it was you but it wasn't.
At his command, hundreds of fireworks emitted from the ceiling. You watch in fascination as it falls to the ground like a thousand droplets; one of them falls to your hand and takes shape into a heart crystal.
The audience clapped in unison as the magician bowed and raised one hand in the other direction. The pen in his hand glowed, and magic seemed to spill from the tips. It flowed through the air like a wind, and when Epel touched the air, an imaginary apple and carved objects danced through the air surrounding him. You laughed as he tried to swat the objects, causing them to split and multiply.
You tried one yourself, yet none seemed to work like it did for others. Disappointed, you lowered your hand and directed your attention to the stage. The audience, who volunteered, made a few tricks with the help of the magician, and they enjoyed the experience while the magician disappeared from view.
He appeared beside you while the audience's attention was captured on the stage. You turn your head just in time to see him lower himself to the floor and seem to be preparing for his next performance before noticing your gaze on him. The lines in his mask seemed to widen before his lips curled up once more with his finger on them. You shyly smiled and tilted your head before turning around and noticing how your face was getting warmer.
You had no idea how you caught the magician in his act or how he noticed you. One thing is for sure: he was actually handsome, even with a mask. Maybe the way he carried himself added to his charm? You didn't want to know.
He watches you as you turn your head away, noticing the red tint in your ears.
even from the darkness in his view.
Cute.
.
.
.
The whole performance ends when the clock turns ten. The guests started to leave while chatting among themselves. The two of you waited for the crowd to disperse before you went home. Epel yawned without a care while you stood at his side, blowing your hands as they slowly became warmer.
Epel kept praising the show the whole time as you walked home. You merely smiled in response, half listening as you recalled the event in your mind. The heart glass was still in your palm; it was oddly warm despite the temperature.
You lifted it up in the air and stared at the transparent crystal.
Epel noticed your silence and saw the crystal hanging in your hand. He smirked, covering his mouth as he looked at you with a knowing look in his eyes. You noticed your weird friend pointing at signs while you scrunched your eyes.
"What is it?"
"Nothing; you seem to enjoy yourself."
You didn't reply as you continued to stare at the crystal, looking quite thoughtful. Epel was surprised as you pondered his question by the way your lips turned into a thin line and you stared blankly.
Then you smiled softly; the moonlight glistened your figure under its glory; your eyes brightened for the first time since you came and you nodded, causing Epel to blink his eyes.
"It was fun."
.
.
.
Epel invited you once again to the same show after a few months had passed. You were tending your shop as usual when he slammed the door, surprising you and even the customer. He threw the ticket in your face while bursting with excitement. You read the contents as he shared the news with the customer, who was also your friend, Jack.
"-That show was interesting, ya hear?! Even y/n had fun watching the show!"
"R-really? He was here? Can I join?"
The brute's tail wags without his knowledge, and Epel takes full advantage of his sudden interest and puffs his chest.
"Buy one on your own. Ya know, it was hard getting these tickets by myself, so you better buy that-"
"I see, thank you very much!"
"W-wait! Do you even know where- and he's gone."
Jack's actions left the two of you confused. Epel, shrug it off as him being a fan before you nod. You tap your phone and contact one of your friends whom you haven't seen in a long time. Epel encouraged you to contact him, as he too missed the other brute. You put your phone on speaker and waited for him to pick up. After three dials, the other side of the phone muffled a greeting.
"Sebek!" The two of you cheered before the mood changed.
"HUMAN! Who dares to call the king's guard in the middle of his duty?! What is it so important for you to make a ca-"
Ah, convincing him would probably take a long time.
.
.
.
Sebek had a frown on his face as the three of you spotted him in the crowd. He was easy to find, being taller than most people nearby. They gushes about how handsome and tall the half-fae is; he could somewhat hear what they were saying as he looked quite uncomfortable under their gaze. Jack, being the kind he was, also didn't notice the way people stare at him called the king's guard, Sebek.
"Sebek, here!"
The said person craned his neck to glance behind him and made his way towards the group.
"Took you long enough."
"Hah, like I did. I have been waiting for ten minutes!" Epel chirped in.
"You were just too early!"
"Guys, keep your voice down! People are already looking." Jack scolded the two while you stood there, feeling embarrassed as people watched your group.
"*Sigh* Let's just go." you mumbled.
.
.
.
You four sadly sat down chairs away from each other. Apparently, Epel blindly bought the tickets without checking if the seats were next to each other. Jack didn't know which number our chair was and bought a random number, while Sebek was a similar case to Jack. Jack was on his phone while Epel mumbled curses at his mistake. Sebek was so done with everything that he flopped down on his chair as he stared into a hole in the stage, wishing for everything to end so he could return to his master.
You were calm as you sat down, greeting the lady beside you with a court nod. Just as you sat down, the lights turned off and on in different colors, just as before.
"Yahoo everyone! Did you miss me? Of course all of you do!"
He bowed to the audience and plastered a smirk on his face, with which you had grown familiar. He floated in the air, earning the audience's awe, before he flew around the crowd while thousands of different flowers fell behind him.
You catch a red rose as it falls before you and admire its beauty, caressing the petals before turning your attention back towards the stage where you assume he would be. To your surprise and shock, he stood before you, offering his hand. He was still wearing a smirk, and his demeanor showed pride in him.
You were confused as to why he was standing before you while the audience whispered among themselves; your seatmates even moved away as they gawked.
"Is she his girlfriend?"
"Lucky girl, imagine having the magician as your boyfriend."
"How romantic."
You were growing more flustered under their stare, and I have no doubt your friends are staring hard at your form. You had completely forgotten the man who was responsible for the attention as you covered your flushed face with your hands, wishing the chair could swallow you whole. You heard a chuckle in front of you, and you chose to ignore it.
"You were kind of cute, weren't you? I couldn't help but notice you since I have come here, he confessed so casually. You sat there, frozen in place and blushing like a fool.
Moving your hands away, you saw he was still offering his hand, but his face was much closer than before. He tilted his head. Innocence was emitting from him, but you knew he was enjoying your flustered state.
You reluctantly accept his hand, not wanting to delay the show and wishing it to end. His hand was warm despite the glove he wore, and the idiot was grinning like a fool at the sight of you so deeply red. He clasped your hand in his and lifted you up.
"Would you mind joining me for today? You were the perfect candidate for my heart, you know."
You lifted your gaze unimpressed before scoffing loudly.
"How am I the perfect candidate? I don't recall anything that could peak your interest, sir magician."
"Ace."
"What?"
"Call me Ace."
You stared at him, dumbfounded, as he casually said his name. The crowd cheered for the both of you while your eyes flickered with emotion. You could hear Epel screaming louder while you wondered what happened to the other two. You shut your mouth and looked at him, even more confused. He took pity on you by simply tightening his hold on you and holding your waist before flying in the air. You shriek in surprise and hold onto his coat. He chuckled and put the rose in your hand behind your ear.
"Don't be afraid; just relax."
You nodded, still gripping his coat, as you took a deep breath.
"I'm ready, but if something happens to me, I'm suing you."
"Haha goodluck."
The air shifted as you moved in the air. You breathed in the scent of roses lingering around you as he swayed you back and forth, dancing in the air. The whole time you were looking down on your feet as you watched the crowd and noticed their intense and fascination stare. You were stiff as he twirled you around, and for a second, you thought he would drop you.
"Relax, you're doing just fine. Did you know when I first saw you months ago, you were sitting with a lack of interest in your eyes?"
Oh, did I just look like that?
"You did."
"Did I just say that out loud?"
"Nope, but your face is."
He laughed as you glared in his direction.
"I'm sorry for having such an expression." You couldn't help but apologize as you remembered the way he was attentive to the audience. He was trying to give everyone the best of his abilities, and here you are, being unappreciative of his work. You observed his expression for any signs of malice, yet you found none; his face was neutral.
"Is that why you noticed me now?" So you could prove everyone should be happy under your watchful gaze?
"Nope, I made a promise to you, remember?"
What?
You furrowed your eyes and continued to stare at him. He grinned, and his face grew closer.
"Remember? I recall you reading my lips before the show started."
He let a smile grace his lips, very different from the way he smiles at others. He mouthed something in your direction, and you tilted your head in confusion before he clapped his hand, earning the attention around him.
"A-ah that?!"
"Now you're talking."
"But the thing is, I don't remember. I thought it was for someone else." You reason while his lips turn into an o shape. He looked quite thoughtful before smiling, just like before.
"Then just read my lips like before."
"What?"
You didn't have time to ask again, as he moved his lips soon after. This time, you watch intently, and you catch most of the words.
If you weren't impressed today, the next time I'll show you the best.
You let your lips curl into a smile and shake your head at his musing. Why would he make a promise to a stranger like that? You didn't know, but it warms your heart.
Try your best, Ace; I'm counting on that one.
"I'm still hoping to catch your heart in the process by the-'"
"Not the time!"
.
.
.
Ace really did try his best; he let you sit back down in your chair after quite some time before showing more of his magic around the area. It was relaxing and satisfying to watch, yet it didn't seem to satisfy him, as he sometimes looked in your direction before flicking magic surrounding your area like the one before.
You remembered it didn't work the last time and wondered if it would be the same.
You tried to reach out again, and you were surprised at how many tiny little hearts surrounded you. They changed into different forms each time, showing different animals and flowers, and you felt at ease by how warm they were. Sadly, everything came to an end when the whole area was swarmed with police officers.
"Ace trappola! You are under arrest for fraud!" One of the police officers spoke with a gun pointing towards the suspect. His cyan-colored eyes flickered around you, and he did a double take when he noticed you were there. His eyes widened before turning furious at the magician.
Deuce?!
"Oops, that's my cue to leave!" The magician bowed to the audience one last time with a grin on his face.
"Once again, thank you for coming. See you next time!"
He disappeared into the thin air, and you shrieked in surprise when he appeared beside you as he carried you into his arms and left the scene still grinning.
Why is he dragging you with him?
He was quite fast as he dodged the police line of sight with you in his arms. You tightened your grip on his shoulders before turning to face him with a frown on your face.
"You could just leave me there, you know?"
"Sorry!" He didn't seem quite sorry, judging by the tone of his voice. You were growing more frustrated the more you flew away. You turned to face him with anger written in your face.
"My friends are waiting for me; I can't simply leave them behind for a stranger whom I have only met twice!"
"Too bad, you still didn't seem to be impressed, just like I promised!"
"Huh, what? But I-"
He took off his mask, and you were surprised. He had unusually red eyes that stared at you with cheekiness in them. His lips curled in mischief as he noticed you becoming quiet under his gaze.
"You'll be seeing me from now on; I'll impress you with my tricks just while you wait."
Yahooo thank you for reading. To clarify I based his design to disney recruiter jack heart. And a fact also is if you squint your eyes, there is a secret as to why the police arrive the show~
Someone called them, who was it?

Sypnosis: The reader didn't know what caused them to fall asleep thus Vil planned to help them.
Warning: the reader is not Yuu but a dorm member of Pomefiore.
Your body feels heavy. Despite your best efforts at keeping awake, you felt your head betraying you in favor of sleepiness that started to creep in. You always rested enough to function for the day, but for the past few weeks, you started to fall asleep without meaning to. You visited a doctor for your strange occurrence, yet their answer was nothing, nothing too concerning. You tried other clinics, but they said the same. Just rest a lot more but you knew it wasn't simple. You thought your situation was a fragment of your imagination but your current predicament says otherwise.
You avoided some students nearby and waited for them to leave, then allowed your sluggish figure to slump on the ground as you laid your back on the wall. You inhaled some air, feeling your consciousness slip away. You were exhausted already, despite the sky's indication for today. You weren't too keen on your housewarden's scolding if he learned you missed an hour of class or two. But you couldn't move a muscle.
No doubt, if someone saw you, they would tell the housekeeper about you slacking off from class. It wasn't rare for someone to be caught doing such a thing, but you don't want a record for bad behavior during your time at NRC. You survived for the last two years; your third year wouldn't be any different.
But as you tried to stand up, you couldn't maintain your balance for a second before you fell again and couldn't get up without getting dizzy. With your current situation, going to the classroom would be out of the question. You would be dozing off for the rest of the lesson, and having your vice-housewarden as your classmate would no doubt relay the information to the housewarden. On the other hand, the mirror towards the dorm would be one of your options, but the risk of someone noticing you would be higher. The better option would be the infirmary. Crewel-sensei must know something about your predicament, but the thought of him dismissing your illness as fatigue would probably trouble you more.
You were totally lost as to what to do.
Still, asking him would still be the best, and you couldn't know until you tried. With that in mind, you tried to stay awake and lay your hand on the wall for support. But just after a few steps, you felt a presence behind you, looming over your figure. You turn around and gasp as you notice your housewarden's frowning gaze upon you. He was wearing the Pomefiore dorm uniform, indicating he had just come from the meeting. He wasn't using his usual hairstyle in favor of tying it behind his back. His light blonde hair glistened under the sun's brightness from the window, enhancing his beauty, but the sight of him makes you panic.
"Why aren't you back at your class? The bell rang a few minutes ago."
You were quiet as he waited for your answer. But as you just tried to explain, your head feels lighter, and you can't control your sleepiness anymore. The last thing you remember is the way his eyes widened before calling out your name.
.
.
.
Sometime later, you wake up in the infirmary. The ceiling greeted your vision as you tried to flutter your droopy eyes. You notice the sun's brightness has turned orange, indicating you have been asleep for a long time. You weren't surprised by how it turned out.
You glance around for any signs of your housewarden, but it seems he has already left. Though You weren't sure if you were off the hook or if sometime later there would be punishment waiting for you, You just hoped it would be the latter.
"What is this, falling asleep in the middle of the day? Didn't I remind you to sleep early at night?" Crewel asked as he noticed you were awake. You sit up from the bed, and frankly enough, you are still sleepy. Crewel noticed you were still unresponsive and gave you a bottle of liquid. You held the bottle up in your face as you stared. Curious.
"That potion was supposed to help you stay awake for a few hours," he replied as he noticed your confusion. You nodded your head, but the thought made you frown. You tried one of these after a few days of your supposed illness and even tried to make one that could help, yet none of them worked. But the scent rolling from the inside was much stronger than the one you drank before; maybe it will work?
You drank most of the liquid, yet you feel disappointed. The potion effect still didn't work the way you wished. Even if it wasn't, you were grateful to Crewel-sensei for giving you the potion. Drinking the remnants from the bottle, you didn't notice another person enter the infirmary until they were near enough.
"Oh my, Mademoiselle Little Flower! How are you? Did you sleep well? Does your curse happen a lot?-" His voice surprised you while Crewel left for his class in the afternoon.
Your vice-housewarden, Rook Hunt, started to ask you many questions, but you got lost in the middle. Dumbfounded. You wondered why he was here instead of waiting for you back at the dorm. Was it Vil who requested your presence as soon as possible? Wait, he did mention something about a curse.
"Forgive me for cutting off your questions, Vice-Housewarden, but ah, you mention a curse?" You frowned. You didn't have time to ponder more when he nodded his head as if it answered everything.
"Oui, Mademoiselle! Your condition was living proof of that. Come, let's go back to the dorm. Roi de Poison would explain more about your condition."
He didn't indulge you with more information and waited for you to stand up on your own. Instead of asking more questions, you stayed silent as you followed him away from the infirmary. You sometimes notice how he glances at your figure as you walk, keeping an eye out for you if you suddenly stumble without notice. You were grateful yet at the same time annoyed by how you felt as if someone had to help you with the most simple task, such as walking.
"Am I in trouble for not attending class earlier?" You asked after silence passed between the two of you. He laughs, and you realize your question sounds as if a child would get scolded by a parent. You flush in embarrassment. Thankfully, he took mercy on you, even just for a second, as he answered, still shaken from laughter.
"Not at all Mademoiselle little Flower. Though I must admit, you've frightened our Roi de Poison by passing out in his lovely arms. He just wish you should have said something about your condition earlier so he wouldn't be worried." Somehow, imagining Vil-san's worried expression about your passed out body was embarrassing. Out of all people, it had to be your strict housewarden to witness your devastating and unflattering moment.
You didn't speak a lot, but Rook didn't seem to mind your silence as he was busy praising Vil-san's beauty. Though you made some comments here and there, you chuckled a lot more when he exaggerated Vil-san's inspiring speeches.
Once back at the dorm, you notice your housewarden in the lounge, who is still wearing the clothes he was wearing earlier while talking to another student. The student carries two different shades of fabric as Vil scrutinizes each of them. He motioned his hand over the other one, complimenting the shade, before the other person nodded. Rook greeted Vil gleefully as he dismissed the other student. Vil turned to Rook, acknowledging him before he gazed upon your form. His eyes analyzed you as you mumbled your apology.
"Housewarden, I sincerely apologize for passing out on you earlier." You bowed, your hair covering the side of your face. His heeled boots appeared in your vision before his fingers held your chin up to look at him.
"Nothing to apologize for, my dear. Tell me, how are you?" You composed yourself under his gaze and let your hands fall to your sides. "I'm fine Housewarden."
He nodded and turn you side by side. You stayed still under his gaze as he ponder. "You can call me Vil. Tell me, when did your curse appeared?"
"A few weeks ago, around the time when we had a small celebration with our dorm." you answered truthfully, watching how their eyes frowned. Vil seems more conserved, while Rook seems thoughtful. You wanted to dismiss their concerns, but if you mentioned it to them, they would absolutely disagree.
"How many times does your curse become active for a day?" You paused, still a bit surprised at the term of the curse upon you. Back to the question: it was very complicated, to say the least. Sometimes it was different; rather than falling asleep, you would often feel lightheaded for the rest of the day, so you didn't know if your curse was active or not. You zoned out for a while, and Vil hit your head lightly to get your attention.
"How rude of you to zone out when we are talking." he scolded.
"My apologies, Vil-san. It's just, it's complicated. There were often times I fell asleep twice a day and it only lasted for twenty minutes; on the other hand, there wasn't at all, but rather I felt lightheaded for the rest of the day." You pursed your lips before continuing. "But these days, it's gotten worse. I tried to brew one that could help my cond-ah curse, but it wasn't strong enough." Your voice was silent on the end. There was silence until Vil folded his arm and said,
"Well, what do you think, Rook? Do you know something?" Vil turned to his second-command, and you did too. The two of you waited for his reply, but the hunter shrugged his shoulders, holding his hands in the air.
"Non non, at all."
Vil sighed at his second-command's lack of insight before turning to you once more. "Did you receive some gifts of some kind from anyone?"
"Not that I'm aware of, no."
Vil nodded, and you felt useless for not thinking too much. Rook clapped his hand, earning both of your attention, and Vil looked at him expectantly. Rook had his signature grin on his face as he pulled the two of you into his arms. You chuckle lightly while Vil looks dissatisfied. His uniform was getting wrinkled.
"My apologies, Roi de Poison, but let's enjoy this day before we think of a solution to Mademoiselle little Flower here, hm? What do you say, Roi de Poison?"
Vil was a little peeved by Rook's antics before nodding his approval. "Y/N, I'll personally talk to the teachers about your condition. I will let you know the details and what plans we were about to make tomorrow morning. Do you understand?"
"Vil-"
"Do you understand?"
You reluctantly nodded, and Rook instantly let go of the both of you, still grinning while Vil patted some wrinkles on his clothes. You bowed deeply to your Housewarden and vice with gratitude.
"Thank you so much for looking out for my wellbeing, Vil-san and Rook-san. I promise I will do my best despite my unfortunate circumstances; please bear with my presence for a while." You lifted your head only to see Rook wiping the tears from his eyes while Vil frowned at his behavior.
"Such a wonderful speech! Y/N-san. The curse you alone must face, the pain and sorrows you must endure, I truly hope you reach your happy ending, Mademoiselle little flower. Beauté, Marvelous!"
You chuckled uncertainly before turning to Vil with a smile. "If you excuse me, Housewarden, you bowed once more while Vil nodded. "Of course you must be exhausted, do you not? Rest; your complexion wouldn't do you any favors if you stayed up late." Somehow you had a feeling that not even a few minutes after you had gone into your bedroom, you'd fall asleep on the ground. Thankfully, your roommate was away for a while.
You smiled one last time before you left, leaving the two of them in the lounge. Rook glanced at his housewarden with a knowing look in his eyes. "So what do you think, Vil?" He put his hand on his waist while watching the said person feign ignorance.
"I suspect something, but it was too early to tell. I suggest we monitor her for now; I'll be leaving now." Vil dismissed himself. His heels clanged on the ground before fading, leaving the vice-housewarden in his record.
"I do wonder."

Falling through his realm
Hi everyone! Thank you for reading this story. This was like my story Falling down to the Queen's roses. This was not a part 2 rather a similar to that concept. Keep in mind that you a reader is a half-fae like sebek. Thank you once again for reading this story. I really appreciate it very much.
Sypnosis: In which you got sent into another world where Maleficent or known as Malleus rule over the faeries.
How does one understand magic?" You wondered. You sat down under the protection of tall trees, away from the sun's gaze. You opted to spend your time at the library, but with exams coming around, the chairs would be quite full at a moment. Instead, you chose a spot on the botanical garden away from the students sight.
Despite being a magic-user, you still couldn't grasp the abilities of your magic. You were neither bad nor good at magic, but as you used it as a tool, you were slowly doubting if it was worth the effort.
"Does magic bring peace?" You mumbled once more, turning the pages onto another as you tried to read. Try as you might, you kept rereading the lines many times before giving up on your attempt. Instead, you gazed up high; the green leaves covered the bluish sky, yet you didn't mind the view. You closed your eyes and breathed in the fresh air, letting your head fall backward and hitting the wooden tree lightly. The leaves sway back and forth, lulling you to sleep. You were exhausted; helping your dorm for the upcoming school festival, having to use your magic for a long run, and staying up late just so you could finish your schoolwork was no easy feat.
Even as you slept, you picked up a crunch sound heading your way. Your response was to simply continue sleeping, hoping just a little they could leave. Yet they didn't. Slowly and surely, their foot made their way until they are an arm's distance from you.
"Tch, a herbivore from diasomnia is in my way, he growled. You fluttered your eyes and glanced at his figure, noticing his irritation. It seems you were at one of his hideouts. His silence continued once more, and his patience is wearing thin. You nod your head in greeting before plastering a smile on your face.
"Housewarden Kingscholar, can I help you?"
"Crawling away from my spot will help."
You sighed. "Is that so? Well, then, if you excuse me, you said, closing the book and standing up from the ground. His expression stayed emotionless, yet you didn't miss the way his eye twitched at your movement.
"What's wrong? A cat bit your tongue?" He taunted.
"None at all." You checked your belongings once more and tilted your head to look at him. You plastered a smile once more without any fight. He opened his mouth but closed it; he mumbled something under his breath and turned his back on you. You frowned in confusion before shrugging and leaving the garden. You passed by some familiar students and greet them, you hold some small conversation with Ruggie Bucchi alerting him where Housewarden Leona was and stride your way towards the mirror.
"Y/N, are you already heading back?"
"Vice housewarden Lilia. Yes, was the dorm still under preparation?" You paused in your tracks and greeted. Lilia's deep red eyes held joy; his lips curled up a smile and he nodded.
"Indeed, but it was almost done. It was fun designing the main area, did it not?" He put the back of his hand to his chin and closed his eyes, chuckling.
You shared his joyous expression and agreed. For once, the dorm was filled with more noise than before. It was usually quiet every time you came back, yet you didn't mind the change. For a while, the two of you stood there talking until you noticed the clock nearby.
"I should get back soon; I wouldn't hold you back from your duty, Vice-Housewarden Lilia."
He chuckled lightly and patted your shoulder. "Ow, don't be so formal, Y/N,
We are both in our third years. Call me Lilia."
"Ah, well then, Lilia-san. I wished you the best of luck." You fumbled your words at the sudden request before smiling.
"You as well. Stay safe, Y/N."
He returned your words and left you on your record. You turn around and
Head your way towards the mirror and step in.
But something is wrong.
.
Your magic.
.
.
Is bursting with mana engulfing your whole body.
.
.
It hurts so much.You could feel your magic slipping by. Your vision was distorted as you fell down in pain. Whimpering in pain, you tried to use your pen whispering some magic spells but to no avail. Even the world around you seems to be shaking. Your body couldn't handle anymore and blacked out in an instant.
When you woke up, your head was aching. 'Where was I? ' You rubbed your temple to ease the pain. At the very least, you still wear the uniform, and your magic pen is by your side. But you feel empty. The magic running through your course was nonexistent, as if it weren't there at all. Your heart thumps against your chest as you breathe.
You lost your magic.
No, it must be something. After all, you were exhausted.
You reasoned. You calm your nerves and focus on the bright side.
Yet... Why do you feel as if it won't come back?
A half-fae turn human now.
No, don't even think about it. You comfort yourself more before turning around and looking at the surroundings. The sun was replaced by the moon shining on the ground, and you wondered how many hours had passed. You note how everything differs from NRC's. The air was much colder than diasomnia, and the area wasn't supposed to be wide. There shouldn't be a castle in the distance or thorn walls creeping from the side. You concluded you were neither in Diasomnia nor at NRC.
Where are you?
You didn't have time to grasp everything when strange soldiers headed your way. Your eyes widened, and you turned to run. You couldn't believe your luck; what made them want to capture you?
"A human! Quick capture her!" one of the soldiers ordered, earning them to yell in agreement.
"Wait, I-" Huffing, you maneuvered your way, dodging their attacks, and almost fell down when they released a rock mere meters away. You tried to use your magic, but it was still useless. Your attention was on your pen, and failed to noticed a newcomer in front, you bumped into them and fell to the ground.
"What a surprise, human. You boldly went your way here despite the dangers lurking around."
Lilia?
"Lilia-"
Your vision was suddenly covered with a cloth, and your heart pounded as you heard the swishing sounds of bats swarming around you, carrying you in the air. You squeaked and tried to swat them away, but they held on enough that it could have hurt had it not been for the long sleeve of your uniform.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you." His amused voice filled your ears, and you couldn't help but compare them earlier; his tone was much colder than before.
"Lilia-san, what is going on? Why aren't we back at NRC? Could you please-"
"Stop asking questions. And its Vanrouge. Once we reach the king, you could give your statement to him." he sneered.
You shut your mouth when you notice a shift in the air. His tone was much colder than before. With that they continued. You relied on your ears, but the only sound you ever heard was multiple footsteps. Yet you could feel magic surging around you. You tried your magic once more, but it was the same as before. Nothing. For a while, they cackled and chat around. You couldn't hear Lilia at all. You dreaded everytime they stop from their tracks. Your nerves gets the better of you as you thout about the king.
Would he be lenient?
Without warning, the cloth on your eyes was suddenly pulled down. You blink your eyes adjusting them before meeting the gaze of the one sitting on a throne. He was already staring at you.
"My king, we have brought a human near the wall." Lilia lowered herself towards the ground, his head tilting downward as he greeted his king. You gasp as you took in the figure. His green-slitted eyes, his cool-black hair was longer than before, and instead of a school uniform, he wore a robe covering most of his body and a bit of the ground. He still had his horns, but what shakes you the most is his stare. It was much scarier than usual.
He looks at you as if your words may fail you or approve your worth under his command.
And you know he will.
Taking a deep breath, you whispered your blessings to the seven. And slowly speak with the king.
"Your Majesty-"
And its done! Stay tune for more~

Heyyy Im glad I had come across your blog back then and so far I've been loving all your stories and uhhh if by any chance can I request something? Can you make a Malleus x Reader? Wait let me get into detail about this request
Could you do A fic on whereas Malleus and Yuu as like Gabriel and Emilie Agreste from Miraculous ladybug? (Sorry if this is weird) Like Yuu went on a coma due to attempt assassination after she gave birth to their child because the nobles refuse to accept that the heir is half human and after that Malleus drastically change to the point he wasn't that much present to their child's life, leaving the said child to be in Lilia , Silver and Sebek's care while he (Malleus) busied himself to find the cure to wake Yuu up from her slumber.
Pls if you ever decided to do this make it a happy ending! Where Yuu wakes up and their family is whole again🤗❣️
Omg thank you for requesting, it was actually amusing when malleus would be playing as gabriel though. So about your request, I would like to change some of the detail like Malleus child. Plus I want Malleus not technically out from his child's life and soo I hope this request makes you smile! Brace yourself for the long fanfic.
The king roared in anger. The stone walls of the castle rumbled under his hold. The air grew colder as the nobles continued their plea to their king. On the throne, Malleus sat with his slitted eyes glowing coldly. He gripped his staff with strength, and his aura was growing more intense.
Silence befell the nobles before one of them could no longer handle it and begged for forgiveness.
"Please forgive me, my King!"
The others followed suit, but the king wordlessly stared down below his feet. Lilia watches the scene unfold before offering an alternative punishment, which the king refuses.
Malleus stood up from his throne, his heels clanging into the pavement as he made his way towards the frightened nobles. Malleus lifted his staff, whispering the spells under his breath. He pointed in their direction, the tip of the staff slowly beginning to light up. Amidst his fury, warm memories soon drifted into his mind. Yuu's smile and laughter filled his ears. Malleus lowered his hold, and his eyes softened.
The nobles slowly rejoiced in their king's benevolence; they lifted their heads towards their king only to see him lift his staff once again devoid of emotions.
"If you think I will let you all be, all of you are mistaken. You have taken my Queen's grasp from my hand. In my honor, I shall bestow you a gift for the rest of your life." Malleus staff started to glow. "Fret not; your heirs will not inherit the gift I have bestowed upon you."
The nobles grasped their chests in pain the moment the king's magic struck them at once. The castle walls were filled with screams as they whimpered in pain. The king merely stared at them, unfazed, before leaving them behind. His footsteps clang on the ground as he moves hastily. Lilia, who stayed behind, dismissed them on his behalf.
The grieving king stood by his beloved's side. The moonlight illuminating the figure laying on a casket, Yuu's skin was still fresh, and her chest slowly rose and fell as if she were just asleep. Malleus watches Yuu with a forlorn smile. He held her hand, caressing it until he held it between his lips. He closed his eyes as wet tears gently fell on his face.
"My beloved Yuu, what shall I do in order for you to wake up by my side?" he softly whispers.
The room was silent for a while. Malleus gaze never left her side, even if the door creaked behind him. A small light shone behind the door as another figure entered the scene. Malleus paid no attention to the third party as they silently made their way behind him. They patted his shoulder, comforting him, and instantly Malleus knew who was behind.
Lilia's face held a sympathy expression as he continued to pat Malleus shoulder, and silence continued once more. Malleus dropped Yuu's hand back into her chest, still gazing at her. His voice called for Lilia.
"Lilia, may I request that you take care of my child until his mother recovers?"
"Pardon?" Lilia was baffled, not by the latter but by the king's last words."
"My child needs their mother; without her, we have nothing." Malleus continued. Lilia shook his head as he moved to his side.
"No your child needs you as much as his mother. Malleus, Yuu would want you to spend time with your child, with or without her." he reasoned, but Malleus paid no heed to his words. He finally lifted his head towards Lilia who took notice that the king's eyes no longer held a light between them.
"Not today Lilia, please leave us."
Lilia fell silent. He bowed to both his majesties, floating towards the door until he glanced behind him.
"My king, if you need us, you know where to find us."
He assures the king but his sole focus remains on the sleeping figure while the sky grows dim.
~~~
Lilia held the baby in his arms, marveling at how delicate the baby was. He reminisced about the old times when the two of his children were as young as the little one. He coed as they cried before he heard a knock from the door announcing an arrival.
Silver opened the door, followed by Sebek as they went inside. Silver and Sebek's stares were enough to pinpoint what they wanted to know. Lilia smiled sadly, watching as their expression changed similarly to his own.
"It seems we will be the ones raising this child for a while." They all knew his words were half the truth. Silver turned his gaze toward the child, holding their hands like they were made of glass.
"Father, I would like to help you." He declared. Lilia smiled, grateful for his son before the two looked at Sebek with anticipation in their eyes. Sebek frowned at their attention, also turning his head to the baby while his eyes softened as they slept.
"To their majesties child and a fellow half-human."
They chuckled at his words before Lilia lifted the baby up in the air. "May you grow into a strong person just as your mother wants it."
~~~
Years have gone by, and the baby has grown into a boy. They all took turns raising him. Raising him both in fae and human culture and simply giving his childhood to one considered normal They of course let him know who his parents were, and Lilia had to excuse his father's disappearance in his early childhood. The boy took this lightly and simply assumed his father was merely busy because he had to manage the whole kingdom.
On an evening day, while playing with Lilia. The boy stumbled upon a cloaked, horned figure staring at a statue in the garden. The boy curious as to who's statue he was looking at, peak his head in that direction, and a smile graced his face. His eyes knew no fear as his short legs carried him towards the figure. He tugged on his cloak, earning the unknown man's attention from above. The man lowered his head as he stared at the boy's big doe-eyes.
The boy noticed the similar horns on the stranger's head. He greeted him with glee and asked for his name. The man simply said to call him whatever he wished. The boy narrowed his nose in focus, huffing his cheeks. The man's eyes widened for a fraction before he continued to gaze at him. He was reminded of someone he really knew.
The boy's eyes lightened, and he gleefully exclaimed, "Father! You remind me of my father, Grandpa Lilia mentioned!"
The man lowered his upper body, and the air shifted to a colder temperature. The boy's expression stayed unawavering, while The man who now noticed the small horns resting on his head, froze at the sight.
The boy was about to question him when another figure joined them. Lilia stood there with wide eyes as he recognized Malleus form. He urges the boy into Silver and Sebek's care while he stays behind.
He turned to Malleus, who watched the young boy disappear with familiarity.
"How does it feel to see your child grow into a boy?"
"I pity him. His mother wasn't by his side."
Lilia couldn't help but scrutinize Malleus words. "May I remind you that you needed to be in your son's life? Yuu wouldn't want to see you still grieving and leaving your child in the process."
"I did not leave him! He needed his mother in his life. Please, watch him. I will cure his mother as soon as possible."
Lilia knew Malleus wouldn't visit his son for a very long time. But he knew that if he didn't do anything, the father-son relationship would strain.
"Malleus, I know you are busy, but please try visiting your son every once in a while." He gave the advice one last time before following the trio to the garden, leaving Malleus behind.
"Our son, Adrius..."
~~~
Malleus gaze rested on the sunrise outside his castle. His eyes held a strange emotion as Lilia reported to his king. He noticed how distant he was and asked his king.
"My king if you don't mind, what troubles you?"
Malleus broke out of his revery and turned his head towards Lilia. He studied Lilia for quite some time before sighing. "Nothing too concerning."
"It is concerning if you look so thoughtful, Malleus." Lilia smiled and shook his head. "Was it about your son?"
"I suppose I was." Malleus admitted.
Lilia almost falls forward in surprise. He collected himself and coughed fakely. He peered into Malleus eye before bowing. "Your majesty, if I may, may I ask you to join your son's dinner this afternoon?"
Malleus for one, looks more thoughtful for the suggestion than earlier. He slowly tilted his head, and that was enough for Lilia.
"I will." He replied. Lilia bowed once more and turned his back to Malleus with a grin on his face.
Lilia barged into the young boy's room, surprising the boy as he fell back from the floor holding a book in hand.
"Gr-grandpa?!"
"Adrius! Get ready, dear! Your father will be joining you for dinner!" Lilia lifted the boy and grasped his hands, jumping up and down. Adrius eyes widened, and his face lifted in joy. He joined Lilia's enthusiasm, squealing. Silver and Sebek burst into the room with swords in hand.
"What's wrong?!" Silver yelled before silence befell the two. They watched his father and Adrius jumping in excitement before turning their heads in their direction.
"Malleus would be joining Adrius for dinner! Silver! Sebek! Please prepare the casket; I'm dying in happiness!"
"C-Calm down father, you are not dying yet."
~~~
"Tell me how are you?" Malleus asked his son after they sat down and ate. It was silent, neither of them knew what to say until Malleus went first.
"Oh um, I'm doing great, grandpa Lilia, uncle Silver, and Sebek teach me how to use a sword, and I'm learning the piano!" Adrius gleefully exclaimed. Malleus let out a small smile and nodded. "You did well."
~~~
Footsteps clanged on the ground as they made their way towards the throne room. A boy of fifteen years of age bowed on the ground as they greeted the king.
"Your majesty, I have come bearing good news."
Malleus smiled and stood up from his throne. He made his way toward his son and patted his shoulder. The boy lifted his gaze and stood up with gratitude in his eyes.
"No need to be formal, Adrius. Let's hear it on the way towards the garden, shall we?"
Adrius nodded his head, and the pair left behind the throne.
~~~
"Huff* Huff* We should take a few minutes break." Silver command.
Adrius waited before the others left; Silver noticed him and motioned for him to come. Adrius went to his side with questions in his eyes.
"What was mother like to father?"
Silver turned to face him, watching how Adrius eyes seemed a little distant. "Just like we have mentioned before, she was brave and hardworking-"
Silver paused, realizing he was mentioning her characteristics, before continuing, "She was his everything. She was the one who approached Malleus when no one would."
"Malleus loved her dearly from the moment they met. Yuu was his Queen. The lady was a kind person and a trickster like you." Lilia piped in and ruffled Adrius hair.
"He was lost without her." Lilia pinches his cheek as Silver stands by from the side, nodding in agreement.
"But now he has you."
~~~
"Your mother lay in this casket for years. She collapsed on the day you were born." Malleus softly said. His son, Adrius, furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and hurt.
"So, she got into a coma because of me?" He questioned. Malleus shook his head as he patted his shoulder.
"No, she collapsed because of an attempted assassination. She gave birth to you earlier that day. Her body hadn't had a chance to rest when the nobles planned their assassination. And they almost succeeded.""
Malleus voice began to whisper, "I failed. I was not on her side when they slipped inside and attacked the Queen. I have failed us." His hand fell to his side, and he turned away from his son. He moved towards where his beloved was.
"She would be so proud of you. She would still be here, watching you grow up, but she didn't because of my mistake."
Adrius moved towards his side and held his hand. Mallus turned to his son, who held a smile despite everything he had said. "She wouldn't blame you, she loves you, and I too."
"I don't blame you, father."
Malleus eyes softened. His son didn't notice a teardrop rolling down on his father's cheek as he smiled at his mother with sincerity in his eyes. Adrius was content. Malleus watched his son with a soft smile.
"Thank you, my son."
~~~
Malleus held his beloved's hands once more. He told his beloved about their son, who was sixteen years of age. He recounts the day they spent together, proud of his son who was growing into a handsome boy. After a while, Malleus sadly has to leave for his duties.
"I would come back my Love." He promised. Holding her hand one last time with magic swirling around them.
Malleus closed the door behind him and left. Unbeknownst to them, Adrius also visits his mother each day. Miraculously, the two of them hadn't passed each other. Adrius sat on a chair beside the casket with happiness in his face.
"Mother, I have never been happier to spend time with father. He was attentive for more than a year in my life." He paused. "Though he still had a faint sadness in his eyes, He was starting to change for the better." He holds her hand, his palm starting to glow.
"We miss you."
~~~
"Tsunotaro? Lilia? Silver? Sebek?" A voice called out from the shadows, their white gown slowly emerging. The five of them turned towards the voice with alarm in their eyes. Adrius squints his eyes before his expression changes. Malleus fled down from the throne and made his way towards the figure. The figure gasped in surprise as Malleus held them in his arms. Lilia and Silver smiled while Sebek sobbed for his majesties. Adrius slowly walked towards his parents and joined their hug. Yuu's eyes turned to Adrius, and her hand caressed his hair. Her eyes glistened, and tears started to fall from her face. Malleus held them both as he quietly cried.
"Welcome back my love."
~~~
"You did what?!" Yuu's scream echoed around the garden as Malleus lowered his head, ashamed.
"It is what you have heard, my Love." Malleus admitted.
Yuu couldn't help but slap him across the face. The four bystanders gasped in shock. They silently walk away from the couple, leaving them behind.
"Malleus, how could you? You left our child! Do you know how hard it was to be alone without the love of your parents?!"
"Lilia, Silver, and Sebek help him grow love-"
"Yes they did because you left our child in their care without you by his side! a living parent!"
The four sat down outside the cabin and enjoyed the quietness until Adrius turned to look at Sebek with worry in his eyes. "How long do we have to wait for them?"
Sebek gave a knowing look in his eyes and nodded at something. "Soon, and we should leave them be."
"Very much so, we don't want an angry dragon coming into our way." They had an amused look in their eyes while Adrius dreaded what was coming next.
So if all of you are confused, I don't want Malleus to be cold towards his son, he maybe distant but that doesn't mean he care. Movie Gabriel agreste did better than series Gabriel. @worldussysblog Thank you for making a request and I hope you are safe from where you are~

Falling down into the Queen's roses
Yuu and Riddle agreed to meet at the library on weekends. They felt comfortable with their presence, making small conversations and jokes while searching the aisles of books about the Queen of Hearts when Yuu stumbled upon a strange title and cover on their quest of searching. Curious and intrigued, she took the book into her arms while turning the pages. She whispers as she reads the lines, not noticing a small light surrounding her until she stops. Her gaze turn to her arms, dropping the book from the process before the book shimmered brightly, engulfing her.
Riddle heard something drop from the aisles where Yuu once stood. Worried, he went into where she was, whispering her name but the said person didn't answer. He didn't notice a book lying on the floor as he busied himself checking his surroundings before searching the whole library section. Riddle immediately called the headmaster and his dorm vice, informing them about the situation with worried look on his face.
Meanwhile, Yuu was inbetween of awe and horror as she got lost in what seemed to be a maze. The scent of the roses filled her nostrils as she passed the garden on her way out. She paused as she recognized the Heartslabyul rose garden.
With hope coming into her mind, she used her memory of when she was at the Heartslabyul dorm and wished the replica was the same. To her amazement, it did. Passing by the croquette place and seemingly the entrance.
Yuu noticed two people wearing card uniforms were painting the roses red outside the entrance, where she once stood. She slowly approach them, about to ask where she was when she stops in her tracks. The adeuce duo turned to her, not recognizing the person in front of them.
"Can we help you?"
"Can't you see we are busy?" they asked in unison. Deuce's tone was kind, while Ace's was annoyed as they waited for her.
Yuu fumbled her words before bowing hesitantly. She offered to help while they glanced at each other with communication in their eyes before Ace happily gave her a paintbrush as they continued.
Yuu chuckled softly as they sang a tune, humming, "We paint the roses red, we paint the roses red."
It was not until a trumpet announced the arrival of the Queen that both went into panic, bumping into each other left and right before thrashing the bucket and paintbrush behind the bushes while Yuu stood there watching the whole time. She awkwardly placed the brush and joined their side as they bowed. She bent her upper body forward while her hair covered the side of her face as she too waited for The Queen's arrival.
The sound of the heels clang loudly as they passed. Its steps grew closer and closer until a pair of polished red high heels appeared in her peripheral vision. Her heartbeat rang into her ear as she calmed her breath. The Queen stood before her curious as to why the girl appeared within his castle's domain.
The Queen hummed as they assessed the intruder, who was noticeably different from the Cards bowing for them. The attendants on their side were about to reprimand the lady when the Queen raised their hand, gesturing for them to stand back. They obliged and watched as the Queen lowered their arm and ordered, "Raise your head."
A voice deeper than a female but higher tone than a man spoke fills her ears, and she notices it is different from the Queen, Riddle spoke about. With panic surging through her, she slowly lifted her head and was surprised to see soft red-colored hair with bluish-gray eyes she was familiar with as she stared at them every day without his notice.
"Riddle?" she softly called before remembering that this person may not recognize her like the adeuce duo. Her eyes widen before she quickly mumbles her apology, bowing her head one more time before his fingertips hold her chin, urging her to face him. She immediately avoided his eyes, preferring the locks of his hair while watching in the corner how his eyes narrowed at her defiance.
"Stare at my eyes, or it would be off with your head. You wouldn't want that, do you?"
She couldn't risk that, and so she did. The Queen tilted his head as he made eye contact with her, and an approval hum made his lips as he moved her head side to side.
Unbeknownst to Yuu, her hand held his wrist while he did so. She watched how he froze at her touch and soon left his hand on her chin before turning his back on her. She didn't noticed how his ears turned into rosy color whilst he raised his hand once more and made his way towards the maze entrance.
"Come my dear guest, I shan't make you late for our appointment this evening; you would join me of course? This is your Queen's request after all."

Hi!!!!! I've been reading your fanfics and I liked how you those write stories. Can I request a one shot story. About Malleus saw reader fall and save her by catching her in a bridal style and noticed injuries from her ankle so he led her to infirmary to cure her with cute or teasing moments of the two along the way if you don't mind. Thank you!!!
Thank you for making a cute request and for reading my stories! It means alot to me, I really enjoyed making this oneshot but I took so long and stayed late a bit but it was all worth in the end.
"Ace, you know i'm magic-less right?" Yuu asked after a few heartbeat.
"Of course I did! This is why I stole this from the lab earlier so Deuce and Grim wouldn't stop complaining."
"How is that helping when we got it from stealing?!" Yuu screamed, Her brow furrowed and massaged her temple.
A laughter erupted from Ace's lips while Yuu turned to the other heartslabyul student, Deuce, and to her dorm member, the bane of her existence. Deuce wore a wry smile while Grim grumbled in annoyance.
"Ngrhh can you two make it quick already?! There are some of us who want to fly in the broomstick if you don't mind!" Grim yelled, crossing his arms while pouting.
It was mid afternoon, no one is at the fields when suddenly Ace got an 'impressive idea' pulling the three of them into a mess ones again. Yuu and Deuce kept convincing Ace but to no avail, he took the magic broomstick that Divus was experimenting and sprinted into the fields while they followed suit. Luckily no one sees their escape. Deuce clenched his teeth and marched to Ace who happily grinned as he held the broomstick.
"Ace! Let us return the broomstick! We don't know what capabilities of this broom and we can get detention if we were caught!"
"Ehh no one would see us at this hour!" He snapped back, pulling the broom and showcase it infront of them like an advertisement. "Plus, this broom could actually fly without a magic user riding this thin—No don't look at me like that, I'd heard Divus mumbling about it when he thought no one is listening,"
And he had an audacity to pat Deuce on the shoulder while staring intensely on his eyes, "Yuu never got the chance to use a broom to fly, Deuce, this is a chance for her."
Deuce almost got convinced there for a second before shooking his head. "But it still wasn't right to steal it Ace!"
"it was only for a day, no harm done."
"You two keep forgetting about my opinion here." the adeuce duo turned to Yuu with questions in their eyes. She paused for a moment before Grim click his tongue impatiently.
"Henchman make up your choice."
"I know I know, sorry." at last , she took the broom from ace with a doubtful look on her face.
"Only one time couldn't hurt right?" she whispers to herself and chuckles. Deuce had the same reaction as hers while the other two celebrate.
The three of them slowly and steadily made their way in the air while Yuu stayed behind. She gripped the broom tightly that her knuckles turned white, taking a deep breath, she went ahead and let the broom take her high in the sky.
The Adeuce and Grim watched Yuu as she wobbly flew to their side. She flew higher than she she anticipated, her gripped to the wood tightened as if her life depends on it. The ominous aura she felt unsettled her when she flew across the air.
"Ah Ace? Is this normal?" Yuu questioned, worry printed on her face before it was replace with fear. "Ah—"
In the speed of light, Yuu flew away from the gang. Flying forward then backward, levitating through the air before turning into zigzag motion. Yuu screamed in terror while wrapping her arms around the broom.
"YUU!!" The trio screamed as they flew their way towards her. Yuu held the broom tightly while she spins but to no avail, the broom was on a mission to let her fall. The three tried to save her but the broom had other plans, the tip of the broom pushes the three away causing Yuu to topple over from the process.
The three screamed Yuu's name while she falls from the sky. She could feel her heartbeat thumpering while watching the three infront of her attempt to catch her with their hand held out in slow motion. The wind gust roughly to her while Yuu make her way near to the ground. Grim cried and uses his paw to hold onto her but she was falling to quickly from his reach.
The ground was seemingly more closer and closer as seconds gone by, Yuu closed her eyes in resignation. Bracing herself from multiple injuries but it was quiet. The air shifted until there's no wind blowing her figure.
Hard and sturdy arms wrapped around her back and underneath her legs, her head gently rest on the side and felt their heartbeat hasten.
Yuu's eyes fluttered open and gaze at her savior. A pale skin, and cool-black hair greeted her, his bright green eyes held a worry on them as he gazed at her.
"hmm... Malleus..." Yuu breathed. She was both mentally and physically exhausted as she lay onto Malleus.
Malleus eyes softened before laying his chin on her hair as he inhaled her scent. Yuu's arms hang loosely to his shoulders while she snuggled closely to Malleus.
The trio move their way to Yuu after landing before stopping quickly when Malleus craned his neck glaring at them with his eyes glowing in darker shade. The three of them gulp and apologize was at the tip of their tongue when Malleus walk away from them. Grim was about to follow them when Ace and Deuce motioned their head in negative sign.
Malleus stride past some students while they gawk at the display. Yuu groaned, half asleep as malleus move his way to the infirmary. Malleus slowed down and watches her with a soft expression before moving her into a comfortable position in his arms. When her heart has fallen into a rhythm, Malleus continued his way before settling her down into the bed. He stayed by her side holding her hands while he caressed them.
Yuu woke up afterwards with her hand still being held by malleus who seemed to have fallen asleep on a chair besides her. Yuu let a smile graced her lips and remove her hand to tuck his hair behind his ear. But to her surprise, his hand shot up to held her hand on his cheek and nuzzled deep into the palm of her hand. He kissed it gently before his eyes move onto her with a sad expression.
"I almost lost you."
Yuu gave a sad smile and mumbles an apology. She reach out to malleus by standing up when she fell forward. Malleus immediately held her from his arms whilst she winces in pain from her bandage ankle. She could guess by struggling to hold the broom, it causes her injury.
"Don't move child of man, you are still recovering." He put her back into the bed as she laid her back onto the headboard while Malleus moved the chair closer and sat again as he held her hand again.
"How long was I asleep?" she asked as she caressed his bare hand on hers.
"Not for long." he replies before taking her hand and rest his cheek against to it. Silence engulfed them as they drifted into their thoughts.
"Please forgive the three of them despite what had happened today..." She broke the silence while Malleus paused for a period of time before nodding.
"You have my word, child of man." Yuu sighed in relief before moving closer to the edge of the bed and rested her forehead into his, calming his nerves as he closed his eyes in content.
"Thank you my dear dragon."
"Anything for you my dear prefect."

The Deal of Unfortunate Soul
Y/N is penniless. Between jogging the school works, having to watch out for Grim in case he does something out of control while The Prefect is away, and recently surviving from the overblots, the headmaster still didn't give them enough money to manage the ramshackle, let alone for their food. She took on some jobs to help them, such as delivering some packages or helping the school cafeteria to help with their savings, but it wasn't enough.
Grim, being the cat he was, stole the money she had kept hidden under the bed unnoticed until she came to look for it only to find out it was gone. She came storming to Grim who only denied it with an innocent look on his face, completely different from his attitude. She noticed a great number of cans behind him as he attempted to cover them with his small figure while avoiding eye contact. But it was too late, and he knew she knew as she narrowed her eyes and stood at his level.
"No tuna can for a whole month, you got me?"
"Funyah! No! What did I do to deserve that?!" he exclaims as he still tries to deny it while his ears are folded. She knew he was feeling guilty, but none of the money he had spent would ever come back.
"I can smell tuna on you grim, don't deny it. Two months, you hear me?"
"Tw-two months?! No, I will not allow it—nyarhh, it hurts!"
Y/N pinches his cheeks and carries him into her arms as he struggles to get out of her hold.
"Now, now grim. Don't you want to spend time with me? Being away from your beloved canned tuna wasn't as bad as you think."
"Huwah! Yuu! Y/N is bullying me!" grim screams as y/n finally lets go and launches himself at Yuu, who has only returned as of now. He looked grim first before looking in her direction, while his expression turned into confusion.
Y/N sighs in defeat before explaining the situation as they sit down on the couch. Yuu's expression changed into one of sympathy as he patted y/n shoulder. She calms down after a while as they chatted when Grim moves to y/n, apologizing with tears flowing through his face. Y/N cradled him close while calming his tears before he fell asleep on her shoulders.
"I'm sorry for not helping you with the bills y/n." he apologizes after quite some time. She shook her head before turning her head toward the ceiling.
"No, you've done enough, it was the least I could do." Y/N knew he had enough on his plate. Like her, he was studying often late at night, always around Grim and the adeuce Duo, being the only person in the group with a braincell, attending the dorm meetings as they handled the school activities; it wasn't easy.
The first time they have appeared here, they are mocked for being magic-less. Y/N and Yuu always covered for each other when they threw something at them as they passed. It wasn't easy, and meeting the adeuce duo was no different; they often got into trouble while dragging Grim and Yuu along with them. After the events later on, the two of them still relied on each other, with grim at their sides.
"We will manage, just like we always do." she mumbles.
"Oh? This is a surprise. What can I do for you, y/n?"
"Is your housedorm leader here?"
Jade greeted her at the counter with his signature smile. She wasted no time asking him as she made her way toward him. The lounge was quiet, save for a few costomers at the table. The background music was orchestral, with a soft tune perfect for relaxation as she walked towards the inside.
She hasn't set foot here in a long time since the Scarabia event, where Jamil overblotted. She was often busy with all of her schedule until now, when she saw a flyer on the school board with a hiring sign. The amount of wages was higher than her previous two jobs, even if they doubled together. Alas, she was desperate, and here she was.
"Of course, do you want me to notify him?"
"Please do,"
Jade bowed before leaving, y/n sat down on the bar stools as she waited. Her eyes landed on the clock nearby before glancing at the VIP door, where Jade went. Moments passed as she waited, her teeth sinking into the flesh of her cheek as she stared hard. They are taking too long.
"Nee Koebi-chan, whatcha starin' at?" a voice spoke behind her ear, breaking her revery, and she clined her head quickly to the new intruder whom she didn't hear coming. A familiar teal hair color with one long streak of gray framing his right side stares down at her grinning, revealing his sharp teeth while her eyes widen.
"Floyd? What are you doing here?"
"How sad Koebi-Chan. I was right behind you when you entered, didn't you hear me earlier?"
She in fact forgot that he was at the door earlier while she went in, she was so focused on the paper that she hadn't noticed everything in her surroundings until now.
"I suppose I did. Hah..." She breathed. "Floyd, can I ask a question?"
"You just did silly," He remarked, watching the gears running into her head while her expression changed, amusing him.
"Okay ah, are they always taking this long?"
"Azul and Jade? I don't know~"
"Floyd, didn't you get assigned to serve the customers?"
"Ehh, I don't feel like it."
Y/N made a small laugh as Floyd's expression turned downcast the minute Jade asked him.
The mostro lounge was soon beginning to be busy as more students walked in. Jade had to convince his brother on behalf of Azul to serve the costomers, but to no avail. He walked out of the lounge and went somewhere else as Jade sighed.
"My apologies for making you wait; Azul is waiting for you in the VIP Room."
"Thank you."
Y/N walk towards the door and knock. She waited for his call before heading inside. The noises soon became silent as the door closed from behind her, and the air had become noticeably colder.
From behind his table, he gestures for her to sit down as he writes something on a piece of paper. She could guess it was a contract from the glowing paper.
"Dear y/n, how may I help you?"
"The flyer on the student board, Are you still hiring?"
She watches as he hums before putting down the quill. He laid his elbows on the table and pillowed his chin with the back of his hands. His eyes lowered just a little, and his signature smile graced his lips.
"I'm sorry to say the least, the slot has already been taken since yesterday, though I do have another job that wasn't taken just yet." His eyes watch her plummet in a split second before her face becomes unreadable.
"What's the catch?" y/n pursed her lips. Azul lowered his arms and pulled out a folder from his desk before handing it to her.
"Darling, if you don't trust me, read it yourself to your heart's content."
She took it from his hands and read the contract. It seems pretty simple enough; the only job she has to do is sort the papers and often handle managing the members from their post. But she was confused as to why he needed someone to do that job. Wasn't it classified?
She heard shuffling from his desk but didn't lift her eyes. She only lifted them when she was done. She saw Azul checking his contracts on his desk with a focused expression; his eyes darted from text to text until he felt her stare at him.
He turned to her and smiled. "Have you made up your mind?"
"I do, but before that, I have questions I'd like to have."
"Sure, anything you'd like to ask."
"What is the point of this contract?" she asked softly, his face was still unreadable as she grew nervous.
"I need someone I can trust to do the paper work here in the office, you see, I was quite busy managing the Mostro Lounge, and don't get me started with Floyd." Azul made a pitiful expression causing y/n to furrowed her eyebrows at his display.
"So you specifically made this contract just for me?" she jest, yet he took it seriously.
"Well technically no, but after the recent tragedy that befell us, you are one of the few people I could count on other than the twins, for that matter." His evil smirk took place as he took the contract into her hands. "Plus, don't you need some madol to help your living? My records show here that all of you are dependent on the headmaster's unfortunate savings." Tell me, how does that help you?" he added.
Y/N was lost for this one. He was right, and he knew it, no, he was fully using it.
"So what do you say? Do you agree?"
She knew full well what she was bargaining for, and the risk of doing something from azul but her situation calls for it. for the sake of Yuu and Grim, she had to. Just a few weeks, it was all over.
"Your lucky I was an unfortunate soul for this one," she finally relents, and with determination she knew would be gone after, washes over her. "The contract, let me have it."
"Hehehe... As you wished."
