My headcanon: Jason Todd may be a cocky, confident and cocky, but I love when that same confident person has stage fright. He can sing (yes like the singer from this song) and when someone hears him and likes it he panics.

Jason (finishing the song while thinking he's alone in the study):

I see a song of past romance

I see the sacrifice of man

I see portrayals of betrayal

And a brother's final stand

I see you on the brink of death

I see you draw your final breath

I see a man who gets to make it home alive

But it's no longer... you.

Tim (having snuck in and hid behind bookshelf): Go Jason!

Jason: That wasn't me!

Tim (jumping from his hiding spot): We all heard you, dude.

Dick(who was hiding behind the bookcase as well): That was awesome!

Damian(under a table): He's a good singer, he used to sing me lullabies.

Jason: Kill me now.

Stephanie(opening a door way behind a painting): Epic fans unite!

Jason: Oh God.

Cass (appearing behind Jason): Can you sing another song?

Jason blushes and walks past the group.

Jason: You saw nothing!

Dick: He's stage shy.

Stephanie: That is so cute!

Jason: I heard that!

I would like to Say I am a Tim Drake Stan but also I love Damian I want them to be brothers but not in the oh Damian hurt him so let's kiss Tim's ass.

Tim literally gives zero fucks I don't even know where that came from everyone tries to murder Tim hell I love him but I want to murder him.

It's chill he don't even care. I want everytime they team up they take over the world. The younger birds are badass I want them giving the entire family grey hairs and cackling I want them sitting in chairs petting fluffy white cats.

Same with Jason now that would be a team up Damian, Jason, and Tim they would get rid of crime kill the Joker and give Bruce a panic attack while Dick cackles come on I want team ups sooooooo bad.

hc time!!!! I'm a very strong believer that the batkids go to Jason when they want to do something, like bad or illegal something that Bruce wouldn't take them for.

like for example....

Jason sitting in his room at the manor reading some true crime book that Barbra got for him:

Damian who wants Jason to go take him to a pound so he can free all the dogs: Todd.

Jason: What do you want gremlin?

Damian kinda shy but cleers his throat: Can you take me to the pound?

Jason: uh sure? but why can Dick or Bruce take you?

Damian: ...father wouldn't agree with my plans for today

Jason smirking: Ooo so your in your rebel era? count me in, come on.

Damian a bit surprised that worked, he should believe Tim more often: huh guess Drake was right. Follows Jason out and to his mototrcycle where they proceed to go to the pound in their vigilantes costumes, they free all the dogs and get away with it.

later when Bruce is watching the news..

random news reporter: Today, local vigilantes, Robin and Red hood freed all the dogs from a local pound!!

Bruce who is too tired for this crap:....wtf

I know you already said in another ask answer that every batfam member has their own little owl noise, but how would Talon!Dick react to Damian joining the family and using Jason's call? Before they find out Jason is the red hood and stuff 🦉

Dick would assume that the league had somehow gotten their hands on another surviving talon that was perhaps tasked with protecting Damian.

Dami’s call to Jason would be unique, but Dick would recognize it instantly as an owlet calling to its protector/parent because Jason made a similar series of cheeps and warbles when he called for him.

That alone would clue Dick into the fact that there’s most definitely a bond between Damian and that strange talon, and that Damian would NOT appreciate the family disposing of them.

But that also means Dick wouldn’t hold back with his cooing and other bird calls around Damian and would have a much easier time bonding with the gremlin than the others. (He doesn’t realize it’s because Jason told him about Dick from the start that Damian isn’t as hostile towards him as the others.)

An alternative scenario in which Jason meets his extremely sweet, extremely creepy Batdad. Obvious horror elements, but somehow the atmosphere is soothing instead of horrifying.

"Down to Dust" by Sparkypants https://archiveofourown.org/works/47407291 - It's not the warehouse that Jason has nightmares about. It's Bruce. Bruce deciding to cremate him instead of bury him. Because if he had, what would Jason be now? An infinite number of pieces, cast into the wind. Smoke hanging in the air and never whole or home again, part of him always missing.

So I had various ideas on how we we get there, but the basic premise is that Damian gets injured, breaks some ribs, and hides it from the rest of his family in order to still get to go on a trip. He is flying out (to wherever) with Jason, the rest of the family is already there.

Damian gets the hiccups at the airport, and considering his broken ribs its pretty torturous, he can't get them to go away, and it ends up causing a bit of a situation. Cue big bro Jason and lots of hurt/comfort.

Jason looks around as Damian sits next to him. The little baby looks up at him with a blank stare.

Jason (rubbing Damian's chubby cheeks with his hand): Tiny baby. Precious. Soft. You are a cute baby.

Baby Damian smiles and then giggles.

Jason: I can't believe you share his DNA, or her DNA or her father's DNA.

Jason boops Damian's nose making the baby giggle and cover his face.

Jason: All right, got that out my system. Let's go play in the dirt.

Jason picks up Damian and takes him outside.

Jason: Battled my brother, taking care of my bastard dad's son, getting paid. It's gonna be a good year.

Damian (happy): Ah!
