The Manson's have a habit of dragging Sam to fancy balls where she has to 'be on her best behaviour'

One of these fancy balls was the Wayne Gala.

And it was there she met a young Jason Todd.

The two were immediately besties, ride or die, thicker then thieves.

The whole party shivered in fear as the two formed a friendship, the shivering was mainly because they were standing in front of the burning remains of the most expensive car Bruce owned that they took for a joy ride.

When Sam went home they kept in contact via texts, Emails, phone calls, video calls, letters when one of them was grounded, and the occasion crime spree whenever Sam was in gothem.

They each learnt something from each other even if they didn't want to.

Sam now knew, how to pickpocket, hot wire a car, win a fist fight, and a bunch of facts that were going to carry her through all her English classes.

Jason now knew, how to built a toaster from scratch (Sam learnt that one from Danny), how to know what plants are safe to eat when he's stranded on literally any part of the planet, how to summon a ghost (all amity kids know how), and now knows thousands of recipes that are vegan.

Everything was going alright for them

Then Danny died.

And before Sam could process the fact that she saw one of her best friends die only to come back halfway, the ghosts came.

Then Box Ghost, then Vlad, then Dani, then Frightknight, then Pariah Dark.

Sam didn't get a lot of time to contact her gothem bestie but she managed to find time to talk in the lulls between fights.

Jason was getting busier too, he never told her what he was busy with but she didn't either.

Phonecalls and videos calls gave way to texts that would go unanswered for 48 hours.

But there was always an answer.

And that was the new normal.

Then Jason died.

And Sam's heart broke into a million pieces.

There was a part of her that held to the belief that he'd come back like Danny did, but Sam was realistic and Jason was not Danny.

On the day of the funeral she found out that Joker had gotten free again.

Joker.

The man who killed her friend.

Sam could not avenge Danny, but she could avenge Jason.

And so Sam made a plan to kill the Joker that would span years.

Danny and Tucker decided to help.

Because sitting in on numerous text conversations and calls they became friends, while they were not best friends with Jason like Sam was, he was still their friend.

The King is Sealed, Long Lie the Queen!

After Pariah is defeated and resealed, Danny is crowned the new King/Queen. Yeah, he's a guy, but he birthed 2 sentient beings, and that counts as a queen in their books.

After a month long readjustment period, some certain areas of the Infinite Realms feel it's their responsibility to inform the Mortal Realms and uninformed ghosts of the good news!

Anyone death touched past liminality, anchored ghosts and revenants alike, are approached by ghosts and told that they're under new management. The Queen will renew their souls, as long as they can merely be within her presence.

One such revenant, Jason Todd/Red Hood, has been ignorant of this. His fraid, too! That must be fixed.

Ellie is technically Dan's older sister

So, because Dan is now inhabiting a Cloned Body, that means that he is technically now Danny and Ellie's Sibling.

And technically, the Clone was created and released after Ellie was, long after.

Meaning, Dan isn't the Grumpy Older Sibling. He's the Grouchy Baby Sibling.

Dan is the Youngest!

Imagine this in a typical Runaway AU, where the Batfam encounters this trio of Siblings. 2 of them are Teenage Boys who look almost identical, the other is a Girl who looks about 2 years Younger than them.

And then they introduce themselves like this...

Ellie: And this is our baby brother Dan!

Dan: I am literally 10 years older than you! I look the same age as Danny!

Danny: Really? Cause your DNA says you were born only 6 months ago, and Ellie is 12 months old, and I'm 15 years old, so who's really the baby here?

Dan: SHE IS! I'm the Oldest! I'm not a Baby!!!

Ellie: Sorry about him, he gets cranky when he doesn't get his nap :D

My son wants to destroy the world, how do I stop him? - Search

It had been a few months since Phantom joined the League. Although he was more of an emergency contact they called in worse cases than a real member. According to the Justice League Dark, he was a ruler of another dimension so he couldn't be around all the time.

When Wonder Woman complained about his commitment to the team, Phantom frowned and called her hypocritical. Apparently Phantom watched over all the dimensions, so asking him to protect one in particular was stupid, or worse, selfish. Diana ended up very embarrassed after learning about it.

Then, it was strange for Phantom to stay beyond 5 minutes after providing his help, so Bruce was surprised to see the boy walking towards him looking extremely nervous and asking for a conversation. Bruce agreed out of curiosity.

The conversation took a strange turn when Phantom started praising his parenting skills (Bruce was proud of his kids clearly, but how the fuck did Phantom know his identity?), and complimented him on...Red Hood's self-control??? And what a good kid he was??

Apparently, Phantom had a son (Bruce was starting to believe in the "immortal" part that Constantine talked about), but he had a terrible temper and loved to destroy dimensions, for which he was often punished (Bruce was at a loss for words), Phantom assured him that no dimension that didn't deserve it was destroyed but he didn't know how to change Dan's approach.

The King insisted that he was fine with his son destroying dimensions as long as his grandfather authorized it, since they had forgiven him and those dimensions were finished anyway (Batman was grateful that his mask would not show his facial expression) but that destroying everyone would affect him in the long run and he was worried about him.

In the end, Bruce invited them to the mansion, or rather, invited Phantom to talk to Alfred and he told him he would bring his son. Bruce remembered that Jason would be visiting that day and wondered how badly the meeting would go.

Harley heard how someone new had killed the Joker and made her way to thank them; after all, he took all that the Joker had in money and goons. She saw the "Crime Boss" trying to feed two toddlers a bottle and failing…

That was how Harley and Ivy ended up as Mom Ivy and Mom Harley to the toddlers.

Don't ask how; Ivy was just so happy she could touch the four without them dying or being poisoned so she moved in. + Dan just gave up on the world.

What has he done to be punished that way? Tell me, Clockwork!

First, he turns him more human!

Then he sent him here with his younger self's clone, his younger self, and sister to this dimension!

And then he meets a Clown who tries to kill him only for him to rip out his head (think of Gojo taking Jogo head).

Then he has to try to find a way to take care of two babies and a teenager, only for that crazy lady to walk into his life!

The next thing he knows, he is living with her and her girlfriend. Somehow being together with both! + Both Ivy and Harley think that Dan was bad at naming children, who names them Daniel/Danny and Danielle/Ellie. At least Jasmine is a different name, but then she is his little sister. + Robin Jason. Jason was pretty proud to tell Batman that the Great Robin had found the one who killed the Joker. "He was a Dad who Joker attacked and he killed him in self Defense. Case Closed. Bonus He has a cute sister!"

Not that anyone would put him on trial in Gotham, even if Batman or the police tried.

So Batman and Jim made sure that the Joker was really dead and didn't fake it. GCPD: " His head is 10 meters away from his body!" James Gordon:" Just to make sure of it. We will Burn the body now." + And Jason in school talked to the sister of the one who killed the Joker, for a mission he says.

Danny adopts Jason and Dan kills the Joker au

Danny adopts Jason not because of the pit but because he sees how hard the guy goes after the Joker. At first Danny thinks nothing of it, but then Jason gets all the core vibes typical of wanting to avenge something. that would be fine except Jason is a bby ghost and the thing he wants to avenge is his own’s death. It’s a feeling Danny almost didn’t have to struggle with, being that a portal killed him (except it was the reason he immediately went to have beef with anyone that crossed the portal. They were essentially aided with the device that killed him and that made him feel… threatened? Frostbite didn’t explain it all that well) so yeah here’s Danny having a bit of a heart attack because the Red Hood is actively seeking to be in the same room as his murderer which baby ghosts are not allowed to what the fuck. He personally won’t do it, (cause he’s never killed someone) but he’s not above asking his older brother Dan to do it.

Danny: think of it as a favor I’m asking of u

Dan: it’s murder, that way surpasses a favor

DP x DC Prompt: "City of Ghosts"

Gotham is a part of the Infinite Realms.

It's a bit of a mythical place really. Ghosts don't go there, and Gotham ghosts don't venture out of their city haunt. Everyone in the Infinite Realms knows that Gotham is a lawless place. They avoid it like the plague. Skulker doesn't hunt there. Walker ignores all the violations of the rules and laws of the Infinite Realms that happen within city limits. Pariah Dark didn't touch that area with a ten-foot pole, in spite of being king of everything within the Infinite Realms. Even Dan hadn't bothered with that place in his own timeline, its inhabitants too twisted and feral for him to fight (he had scars from when he fought some fucked up guy with a shadowcore that somehow powered bright flaming swords bc what's the logic in that?). Gotham is its own brand of crazy not even the bravest and most power-hungry ghosts touched.

Unfortunately, nobody thought to tell Danny this.

Now, you can go so many ways with this. Danny could catch the attention by everyone's favourite serial adopter who sees a baby ghost in need of training and make him a ghost-bat. You can have shipping fics between Danny and any of the bats. You can have Gotham's insane rogues set their sights on the new halfa and enter Amity Park through the portal.

I'm a ho for Jason Todd and I love to ship him with just about anyone, so what if when Danny enters Gotham, he meets a ghost boy by the name Robin, who talks about reading books and protecting people and who saves Danny from a mob of feral city ghosts and is just generally really cute and oh shit, Danny might have a crush.

And then Robin's existence is wiped away by a crazy clown who tortures the boy and shatters his core into so many shards he fades away, and Danny believes the love of his life death is truly gone

Jason's resurrection would be fascinating to explore bc what kind of bullshit could damage a core so beyond repair and what cosmic fuckery actually pulls all those shards back together? (my shipping heart says "Danny accepting the crown caused a power surge and brought Jason back" for drama)

Or maybe Red Hood already exists, and you can pair him with Dan, do an enemies-to-lovers kinda fic, where they were at each other's throat in the initial timeline, but end up falling for each other in the second timeline

Or explore the first timeline and write a tragedy in which Jason has to watch how his partner gets more twisted and warped as time goes on and ends up becoming his enemy

Just Gotham as a ghost town. Literally.

However, here are a couple of my ideas for DxJ.

1.“Popping Sugar” or “Pop Rocks”

“Popping” because they were both victims of an explosion. Jason died because of it. Dan lost his family because of it. 

“Sugar” because I’m sure in secret from everyone they’re very nice to each other. Like, kiss the partner in a forehead and on an exceptional day of hugs fight for the right to be a small spoon.

2.“Flamethrower” or  “Heat gun” 

I mean, Flaming hair and the Batkid with guns. What could be more obvious?Chaos.chaos.destruction.

3. “ Book of Dead” 

Because Jason is a bookworm and that should be respected.

WAIT I JUST HAD ANOTHER THOUGHT FOR THE DISASTER MEET THE INLAWS DINNER:

okay context: so in this AU, Danny and Dan are the only ones who don't know the batfam secret. Jazz figured it out when they first moved in next door to Jason. Damian told Elle after she trusted him with the truth about being a halfa. Elle didn't tell anyone else since it was a secret Damian trusted her with, while Jazz & Jason assumed that everyone else in the Nightingale family knew and never really brought it up.

It just completely sailed over Dan & Danny's heads. Even though part of the deal the family worked out with the Spirit of Gotham is to help protect her Bats and Birds (that's why Dan ended up in Bludhaven, to help keep Nightwing safe) and they regularly (secretly) follow the batfam around during patrols and fights to help make sure nothing bad happens to them.

Which brings us to the disaster dinner where, after things have almost calmed down from the chaos and embarrassment of Elle and Damian's power point & movie, everyone is actually almost getting along. Turns out, getting horribly roasted by the two gremlins helped break the ice a bit. It's kinda hard for the Bats to hold on to as much of the suspicion for the Nightingales as before when they just watched a supercut of everyone’s most embarrassing moments from the past five years with color commentary from the Chaos Duo.

Which is to say Danny is feeling comfortable enough - with some edging on by Elle - to reveal his conspiracy theory about who Batman is, to Bruce.

Just looks Bruce straight in the eye and with his whole heart and soul asks, "So, like you're for sure Batman's sugar daddy right?" -

Life in a Thermos wasn't something he would wish upon his worse enemies. He felt like he had every right to hold anger and resentment to those who trapped him here.

But he couldn't.

Dan wasn't an idiot, he knows where he'd gone wrong. What lead him here. He knows in the end the only person he can blame for it, is himself.

He spent his time using his energy to watch the area around him. Meditating in the empty darkness. Opening his mind in ways he couldn't before.

He accepted his fate. Counted the clocks around him. Shifting to the people around him when suddenly he felt he was elsewhere.

Someone can only yell obsceneties into the void before it gets tiring.

Then he was moved again, but he lacked care. Dan had no control over his life anymore, he'll continue to be tossed around like scrap until some fool releases him.

He hadn't expected to force his energy pass the barriers of the thermos. Begging the human on the other side to release him.

Dan was begging someone, not just someone one a human, to release him. A dark task nonetheless.

He hadn't expected the man to actually press the button.

Following that was a blur of motions, Dan let his instincts take over. The ghostly creature that seemed to follow him was almost as fast, but not quite. Dan had been able to feeling it in his time. tickling at the edges.

But it seemed like everyone given the responsibility of watching him was a ghost. They hadn't had any human DNA to make them just the slightest bit weak.

Now here was this man, this man that had the misfortune of finding him. Even if Dan didn't quite know how he ended up here it was clear that he was human.

Full-fledge human.

Maybe it was the ectoplasm that seemed to latch to the man that made him more at ease, but Dan didn't hesitate to stick around after the battle.

Offering a hand towards the poor man with apologies latched to his tongue. The man in question, seemed to take everything in stride with a suspicious glint.

He's eyes stayed narrowed, shoulders tense. Not that Dan could really blame him. He's done more than enough in his life to never be given the benefit of the doubt.

"I'm sorry."

Standing before him, Dan spilled into his speech. If anyone asked, it was poised and succinct. He had years to figure out what to say after he was released.

Thing was, he hadn't expected this.

An extremely attractive man, barely shorter than him, with black and white hair that achingly similar to himself. Blue eyes narrowed in suspicious but not fear.

This man didn't fear him. Not like everyone else following his will into existence.

It wasn't fear, sure maybe anger, but Dan couldn't blame him.

Problem was, Dan's been stuck in that fucking thermos for years now. Honestly, he wasn't completely sure how long. Seeing anyone, any-being, was strange enough.

But having touched them? Having fought? His emotions were high, and he couldn't stop his grin.

"Free at last"

He hadn't meant those to be his next words, not with the way the man's eyes seem to narrow further. But it was, and Dan couldn't stop the giddy feeling bubbling under his skin.

Jason knows but he plays dumb whenever the other batkids or heroes mention it. His shadow has glowing green eyes and is flipping them off?
