"What happened to us?" Ace asked.

"We used to be best friends..." Deuce said dismissively.

Both men looked severely different from their college years. They had both lost their more... childish natures and had adopted a much more poised attitude.

Neither had talked to the other much since Yuu had left. No one had expected the two peas in a pod, the two Heartslabyul 'froshs', the adeuce duo, to split apart just like that. Yet there they were.

They didn't know who they were even speaking to, really. Both men only remembered the college version of the other. They didn't know where the other worked, how their family life was, they forgot the other's favorite food.

"So uh..." Ace muttered, his hand coming up to play with the hair on the back of his head. "What's happened with you?"

Deuce unstiffened by about a millimeter. "Nothing much. Got a job, bought a house, y'know. Life happened, I suppose."

"Woah, you're telling me that you got a job? You. Loosey-Deucey got a job." Ace joked, craking a smile.

Deuce didn't take it as lightly. "Yeah, so? What's that supposed to mean, Trappola?"

Trappola. The word resonated within Ace's mind. Not Ace. Not some lame nickname. Trappola.

"Ah. I see how it is then, Spade." Ace said coldly, returning the harsh gesture.

Deuce's lips pursed together, a harsh look forming on his face. "Yeah."

"Great speaking to you, Spade." Ace spat. "Truly an enlightening, wonderful experience."

"Yeah, well I didn't have much fun seeing your face either," Deuce responded. "Asshole."

"Repeat that right fucking now," Ace's vision turned redder by the second.

"No. I don't think I will," the blue-haired man crossed his arms.

"Come on, Spade." Ace egged him on, nearing closer and closer to the other. "Say it again."

"No, Trappola." Deuce said. "Cut the crap already. We aren't fucking sixteen anymore."

Ace paused in his approach.

"We don't go to NRC anymore. We don't hang with each other anymore. We haven't since..." Deuce drifted off for a second. "We haven't spoken since Yuu was here."

"How dare you–"

"Shut up, Ace." Deuce said. "Seven above... maybe it was a good thing we stopped talking."

- Hyiiii! It's really coming down! - Appeared the monster out of nowhere. - ARGH! Grim! - I jumped almost stumbling on the dusty sofa. - Gyahahahaha! You've got this stupid look on your face like... Whaaaaaa but you're a girl! - He panicked watching my shirt.

To dust the abandoned building, I had thrown off the ceremonial cape leaving me with a tight black shirt.. - Yes,... I identify as one at least. What about it? - His face gradually relaxed and he put a paw under his chin. - I dunno. I only saw boys, just thought you were one as well. - he shrugged. Thinking back to the faces I met in the mirror chamber, it could've been true. Tho there were many people, hooded furthermore, and there was no way of knowing if somebody was another gender instead.

- Yes I've decided.- piped the grey cat. - Nothing has changed, you're still a weak dumb human, either a boy or a girl. -

- How many colorful titles am I going to get in the near future? -

Chestnuts

- Talking about husband material. - with the basket of chestnuts in hand, I gushed eying all the goodies in the kitchen prepared by the third year. Trey chuckled lightly - If you say so.- strangely enough, the comment hit differently from when his friends teased him about it.

Cater's words came to his mind: "Much like the new Pomefiore kid, (Yuu)Chan is a very cute boy."

- Lah - I clipped back Deuce's hair just like I did with mine. - Now we are ready! - and I struck a power pose. Trey looked at me for a good moment, mind wandering, cheeks reddening. His Heartslabyul companion was getting into his head.

With that tart involved, I knew it was going to end like this. - (Yuu)!!! Stop it. - slapped my hand Ace - I need them for the cake, do you want me to stay like this forever???- he pointed to the collar on his neck. - You are such a drama-king, there are probably 10 kilos of them. - I pouted - This is just the rightful prize for...Ouch! - he flicked my nose this time. Chestnuts were a weakness of mine and even tho it was a very boring and laborious task, Ace was considering switching and shelling them himself.

He snatched the one I just finished cleaning and dropped it in the pile - Junkie! - he threw a judging gaze. - Yes okay? I admit it. Hi, my name is (Yuu), I'm 18 years old, and it's since last November that I haven't tasted, this delicious fruit of the devil. - I chanted.

- Fruit of the devil? - asked Grim. - Yeah..., where I live, chestnuts have been said to be a gift from God to the people of the mountains, but that has been cursed by the devil, making them difficult to bring and eat.- - Ah-ha! - looked at me weirdly the cat.

- As I, mere mortal, can't look upon this gift... OUCH - a slap, this time on my nape. - Are you going to just punish me or do you intend to make yourself useful for YOUR apology cake? - I bit.

- Kids, calm down. - teased the man with glasses posing his large hands on our heads - but He...(Yuu) has a point, Ace. - inquired. And scolded by the older student, the angry first year started working alongside me but scrutinizing my every move.

I quickly finished shedding all the remaining fruits and stood to go asking what we needed next, but before, I spun fast, aiming for my drug.

Unfortunately, Trey was quicker, and from behind me, he managed to grab the bowl and hold me back with his long arms. When his hand got hold of my waist, I felt him tense briefly, but he recomposed, looking down at me with a tinge of red on his ears. - No more falling into temptation, okay (Yuu)? - he commented, lingered for just a moment, and then proceeded to give us instructions.

- What was that? - whispered Ace to me. - What? - I asked dumbfounded. - WHA??? You haven'...sigh...WHATever.- and he left

- What? -

- Do that thing you do, Trey-kun. - said Cater. The boy arrived just to snatch a couple of photos and enjoy our labor. -..., oh that! What are your favorite things to eat guys? - asked the other third-year. And after he listened and chanted " doodle suit", we all bitted into the slices again. Everyone was surprised and cheery about the unexpected flavor. My mind on the other hand got in a tantrum of emotions, and soon big juicy tears were streaming down my face.

- This is Trey-kun's unique magic. Don't you think it'd work super well on a date with a girl? - commented the boy winking and wrinkling the diamond seed on the cheek.

The rivers streaming down my eyes wouldn't stop. I quietly turned around hoping to cover it from the others. But Trey, who was right next to me, caught sight of my face - (Yuu) what happened? Have I messed up yours? - he posed a comforting hand on my back. I shook my head and tried denying my poor state with sobs choking each word. -N-no no! I-*hick* it's perfect. A-and don't *sniff worry-y I'm just a baby. - I felt pathetic.

- Uff I'm glad I didn't mess it up, but you definitely are not good.- - I-it's just...I think I-I'm feeling homesick fro-om the taste of the dish- I murmured - Pushing me a little he looked where he could find some tissues, but after seeing that it wasn't getting better tried the bold move of hugging me.

Welcoming the offered comfort, I moved my arms from my face to the back of his shirt mumbling - I'm so sorry.- for the tears that stained his clothes and the awkwardness of the moment, and too caught by my storm of emotions, I didn't realize the implications of my chest pressed against him.

His body went stiff like a wooden plank but managed to gulp heavily and relax. "Perhaps (Yuu) isn't a cute boy after all." He was going to take the information for himself.

Hook up???

- Excuse my intrusion. - said Deuce who came along to keep an eye on Ace. - Make yourself at home. - I smiled warmly. - the bathroom is here, I'll go up and take out the mattress, cover, and pillow. Ace, do you want to sleep on the couch again? - - My back hurts just thinking about it. - he groaned.

- Let us give you a hand prefect! - followed Deuce grabbing his companion by the wrist. - Hey, hey I'm coming... geez - he almost fell from the cramped stairs. - Hahaha, sure, thank you. - I waved them up. - I'll seriously start to tie up this weekend. So, I'm sorry but for now, my guest room is the lounge. - and I invited them to my shared bedroom. - Don't worr...- the raven boy froze in place.

- What's up? - and I followed his eyes. - Ups... - my laundry was still folded on the sheets and, obviously, my bra was on top of the pile. - I can exp...- -I KNOW RIGHT? I never noticed until yesterday! - exclaimed Ace. - Gyahahaha, you should've seen him: "HOW DARE YOU LYING TO ME LIKE THAT, WOMAN?". So lame. - Grim cackled nudging the boy's leg, but no reactions came out of him.

- ACE, GRIM DAMN IT! I was ready with a bunch of excuses! - - Oh yeah, like? - they asked incredulously. - This Gremlin pranked me? I snatched a hook-up? I like wearing women's clothes or I'm a Drag queen?...-

- THOSE EXCUSES ARE EVEN MORE EMBARRASSING THAN THE TRUTH! - Screamed back at me the ginger. I glared very disappointed but before I could insult his bigotry he inquired- And a hookup? How in hell would you find a girl to hook up with? - - Mhpf... - I pouted offended - I AM a pretty boy, Cater's words. I could find a girl easily if only I would.-

- (Yuu)...- Finally Deuce snapped out of his daze and spoke in a quiet voice. - ...you are a girl... - and a little hurt asked - Why you didn't tell us? - I had the impression this was starting to be a talk of routine. - Crowley asked me to keep it a secret, but honestly...Well, is not like I needed to tell anything. Do you present yourself as "Deuce, a boy"? Till the headmaster gave me the warning I don't recall occasions where my gender got questioned...other than Grim on the first day here. -

He was trying to Think how to take the situation, and that operation was successful just as mixing water with oil. - Look - I posed a hand on his shoulder before his brain started fuming - I wanna be friends with you all, it's not like I act any different either way, it's always me. Just covering more than I would usually. I mean, if it's awkward for you guys, I would be very sad, but I'll...accept it and I'll take my distan...- And he exchanged with a stern hold of my shoulder. - No! You're right! I wanna be friends with you, it hasn't changed anything. And don't worry - he puffed his chest holding his fist on it - I'll be sure your secret will not be spilled further! -

- Awww thank you Deuce, you're such a sweetheart.-  - Mmmm... - he nodded but quickly turned to face the other way - SORRY...can't help it,.... that name hits differently now. - his face was red as a tomato.

They sat on their mattress while I was on the couch with Grim lying in my lap. - So in order, Grim was the first one, then the headmaster...when? - - After I gave him the crystal of the Dwarf's mine. - and I mimicked dramatically - One moment he was: "I'll grant you the honor of attending our majestic academy. Go and make me proud son." then he saw and he was: "WHAT'S A CHICK DOING IN MY OFFICE?". - The events may be inaccurate...- muttered the gray cat and I shushed him.

- How many others know? - asked Deuce. - You two,... I think?- - I bet, Trey-senpai. - inquired Ace. - Why? - - He was SO all over you. - he smirked. - All over...didn't notice. - delicious chestnuts were the only thing I could recall - And how do you know he doesn't like boys? - - Yeah exactly - supported me Deuce. - Cater said something about his unique magic being great with the girls so I am assuming.- shrugged the ginger. - He has a point! - quickly changed sides his companion.

And an evening of gossip and snacks started.

Intruders

Me and Grim prepared ourselves for another day of investigations and on the path to the school I sum up my late-night talking with the mysterious stranger.

-...and I saw those green sparks and this big shadow out of our widow. So I opened it and there was this Huge stunning boy with dark horns on his head. So I was like: " Intruder!" and he was like: "A child of man? Though, aren't you the intruder little lady? " - I imitated his tone - Obviously, I was wearing the crop top and not one of the XXL shirts - and Grim cackled.

- So I went out, 'cause I didn't want to wake you and I told him the all I'm here cause blah blah, don't tell anybody etcetera. So I asked him why strolling around our dorm? And he said he was there cause he likes exploring ruins, and now we ruined his ruin, cause the abandoned building is no longer abandoned.-

- Rude! - - A little...- - So who was he?- - Wait I'm getting there! - We stopped waiting for our favorite duo. - I asked him and he was all weird about it. At first, astonished, and then he laughed and said " I'd rather you remain unaware". - - Suspicious! - whispered Grim. - "It's for your own benefit. Instead, I will permit you to call me by the name of your choosing." - and I got closer to the cat to add drama -" Although you may one day regret it..."-

We looked at each other and grinned mischievously. - Oooh, oooh let me pick it! - exclaimed Grim - Howsabaout...Tsunotaro! - I couldn't help but giggle. - I was thinking "Hornton", but yours works well. Can't wait to see his face when I tell him.-

He then pondered - If Tsunotaro's a student here who knows when we might run into him? If we do, introduce me! I've never seen a human with horns before.- - G'morning, Prefect. - jumped Cater from behind us and threw an arm around my shoulders.

- Cater don't be so touchy - frowned slightly Riddle, and the older student complied disappointed. - But (Yuu)Chan is soft, I like giving hugs to my kohai.- I chuckled embarrassed - Good morning to you Cater, and hello Riddle. How is Trey doing? - - Better, he's slowly but surely recovering thanks to Crewel's potions and nurses' caring. - responded the redhead.

He then looked intensely - Mmh your tie is a little off from the assault. - frowned Riddle - Following the rules starts with your attire. Or else your residents will never listen to you...Although, I guess it's not as bad for you being the only one. - inquired the head of Heartslabyul.

I looked down and out of the corner of my eye, I could see the third year smirking. Before I knew it Riddle had his hands on my clothes, the back of his hand brushing on my chest. I stood still, too stunned to do anything.

"Wow (Yuu) is very broad." was his first thought, but Cater provided to correct it. - Riddle-San... You are unfair, first telling me not to be touchy with her, and now look at you. -

It took some time for the both of us to register his phrase and still holding onto my tie he twisted his head and stuttered - W-what have you just said? -

" Damn it" - Ha-ha. Why? What did he say? - I tried to play dumb hoping Cater would doubt his words. Unfortunately, my body was not as much of a good actor, and the boy's green eyes immediately spotted my shade of red. - I said that it's unfair you're being touchy with Her. -

The dorm leader looked back at me and a million thoughts passed through his big eyes, realizing everything at once. Quickly became red from head to toe, then threw himself back in a mess of sorries, "I didn't know", "Since when?"...

Incredulous, Grim asked - HOW DID YOU KNOW S...*MPHF - I quickly covered his mouth to avoid the entirety of the front yard eavesdropping. - Trey-kun told me! - winked Cater. - And since when Trey knya about it???- exclaimed again the cat. - Since the Mont Blanc tart! He was all over you so I asked and he confessed his suspicions. -

- Ace said the same thing... Dang, I'm in debt with that dummy...- I mumbled recalling his bet. - Was I the only one ignoring this fundamental fact??? - snapped Riddle still full red. - I don't know,...(Yuu)? - the third year quickly threw the fireball at me. - Well, there is Grim, the headmaster, who by the way, was the one telling me it would've been troublesome for him to let this information known. - I explained - Then Ace discovered, Deuce, Trey as it seems, and Cater too, Tsunotaro, and now you! - I listed. - I think...- - Tsuno-Who? - asked the two members of Heartslabyul. - Ah, a new encounter I made yesterday. -

- So you're telling me, someone, you just met, knew it before me???- and the tinge of red on the king of hearts, changed from fluster to anger.

Till reading the manga I thought Cater's name was "Carter" instead.

Not just because it sounded better in my head, but because "Carte" in Italian means "Cards".

he didn't want to get older and become his mother and treat his significant other like she treated him

you would probably have to be really close to him for him to start liking you tbh

the realization honestly hits him in the middle of the night

after doing his nightly routine he got into bed and relaxed, thinking over the unbirthday party that happened that night

adeuce had invited you to attend since you helped paint the roses, and since riddle had a bit of a soft spot for you by now he happily allowed it

you had a chair on one of the long sides of the table, closest to his chair at the head

late in the night his mind kept replaying you laughing at one of trey's bad jokes

oh shit.

he never had the chance to crush on anyone else before since his mom so heavily sheltered him

however, he is the bastard second born, so he isn't used to being the center of attention

when he met you, he saw an opportunity to have the chance at romancing someone without his brother looming over his shoulder

you hadn't even HEARD of his brother, which meant you couldn't even really pick falena over him

this excited leona a lot, so he got really territorial over you really fast

he would also put quite a bit of effort into wooing you, well, more than normal

he really tries to make himself just generally more appealing

he's nicer when you're around and started taking care of himself a bit more

it's a subtle change to you, but he gets DESTROYED by ruggie

when he initially realized he liked you he didn't have any big reaction

he's been through a couple relationships prior to you so it's not really anything new to him

you will start being dragged into his schemes more

also known as i really hope you like napping because you're about to get crushed

he drags you into his naps a lot, and he lays directly on top of you

jade is actually pretty good at highlighting azuls charms and good traits, but he also loves embarrassing azul in front of you

he's a bit louder and much less subtle

and when combined they just start embarrassing azul, the poor octo-mer is dying

now, if you start hinting towards liking azul back, it is on

he immediately goes back into his smooth personality and he will start flirting with you

it starts of subtle, but it will become more apparent as time goes on

if you're really lucky and catch him on a good day, he'll ask you out

he'll invite you to monstro lounge, no one else will be there and you will be treated like royalty

Of course whenever I promise something, I immediately work on a side thing and this is that… I give you crumbs of a Greaser AU! As fun as it would be to imagine everyone as greasers, I think it might make more sense or be interesting if I incorporate the different classes for different characters. I also think it’d be neat if I tweaked some things for a 60s vibe. Even now, Greaser! TWST still lives in my head rent free…

• I really wanted to give the Socs varsity jackets but noooo birthday union already has that, and I wanted this to be more “original” from the canon TWST outfits…

• C-Can you tell I was an “The Outsiders” kid???

• I did start this AU with thinking of Pomefiore first but I wanted to challenge myself and take it more seriously?? So I built up ADeuce. Still debating on what Grim’s role will be…

• Night Raven College is turned into a public school for the sake of this AU (but magic is still involved)

• For this particular AU, I envision Ace and Cloche to be childhood friends, comfortable enough to bicker (taking Grim’s place). How did Deuce get thrown into their little group? Cloche pitied Deuce and let him sit with her and Ace at lunch. Eventually, Ace got used to Deuce’ presence and started to help him out with fitting in with the other socs.

• Loved by the students and hated by the teachers? That’s Ace! With his brother being an alumni of Night Raven College, Ace didn’t have any troubles getting along with some of the older kids in the school. Of course his charisma and goofy personality isn’t something to be overlooked, either. Ace’ father wants him to get into an Ivy League Arcane Institution after high school, but Ace wants none of that. Sure, he could get good grades in school if he tried, but he has no interest. Maybe he should take his future seriously in a year or two, but for now, he just wants to have some fun.

• Deuce was never an official greaser during his middle school years, but more of an errand boy. …Don’t mind the fact he did get dragged into a couple of fights, has a half-used up tin of grease in the closet and his old leather jacket with recent rips. Look at the boy now and see how much he’s cleaned up over the years. Deuce’ tank tops evolved into button-ups, but he still feels uneasy with tight sleeves that cover his full arm. Deuce’ mom worked so hard to afford the school fees for Night Raven College, so he better pull his slack in turn,

• Cloche’ family owns a couple gas stations in Sage Island, allowing her easy access to cigarettes. Though she knows underage smoking (and smoking in general) is bad, she doesn’t care enough. With no allowance of her own, Cloche will gladly scrape however much she can get from willing customers who can pay up. Normally Cloche likes to stick her head out of conflicts between the different classes, but ever since she met a certain greaser— Cloche can’t help but carry a mini medkit at all times, in hopes to play his Nightingale.

He’s going to be ignoring it as much as he can and probably acting colder toward you as well. If anything, you’re going to assume he hates you even more than before the Spelldrive tournament. It’s not until he gets lectured by Ruggie, of all people, that he decides he might as well. His pouty attitude was making everyone in Savanaclaw on edge because they didn’t know what was making their leader upset.

His courting is less than impressive. Sure he likes you, but he’s just going to assume you understand. Dragging you down for naps more often than not (trapping and holding you hostage as you saw it). Waking up and getting you to eat with him. Sometimes actually talking to you. How could you not be absolutely enamored by his efforts? His pulling all the stops right now.

Leona is just going to assume you get that he likes you and, again, assumes you guys are already dating. You spend more time with him outside of class than anyone else (again, after he drags you). He even takes you for dates in the garden, where he may or may not convince you to take another nap with him. Seriously it’s unhealthy how often he sleeps, but he lets you play on his phone when he does, so you don’t complain much. It’s fun scrolling through Magicam (he has an account but never posts). He gets irritated when you snap a photo of you guys cuddling in the gardens, his arm wrapped protectively around your waist. Of course, you post it, and the comments go haywire, asking if you guys are dating.

Leona is not amused when he sees all the notifications. However, he probably is going to cup the back of your head and drag you over to give you a kiss. Wait, what do you mean what is he doing? You guys are dating; it’s only normal to kiss your mate. What? You didn’t realize it. Wow, you’re kinda dense. At least that’s what Leona is gonna say. Still, he’ll wait for you to say yes to dating him (not that he needs you to).

When Leona can be damned to go to classes, he’s walking the hallway with his arm around your shoulder. You’re going to be dragged with how close you are; you’re surprised your feet even touch the ground. Sometimes his tail even wraps around your leg, but he denies it every time, even if it’s still there. There is no doubt for anyone that you two are dating.

Dating Leona does come with a lot of perks. The main one being you’re protected no matter where you go. If Leona isn’t with you, then sometimes it’s Ruggie watching over you. Nobody dares mess with you…at all. Not unless they want a pack of Savanaclaw students to fight them. Students thought your entourage of Grim and Adeuce was protecting you? Now you have an entire dorm ready to rip out someone’s throat if they so much as look at you wrong.

PDA isn’t his thing. Mainly because he doesn’t like to be in public. Dates in his room, lazing around, and just enjoying each other's company are what you can expect from this man. He’ll stay awake when you’re around unless you’re down for a nap (sometimes needed after a long day of class). He might even attempt to teach you how to play chess, but he will never let you win.

Now, if you’re dating Leona, you’re going to be very involved with Ruggie. Ruggie to Leona is the Grim to you. Always within range. In fact, Grim and Ruggie basically have an agreement to drag you guys away from one another when you have things to do. More often than not, it’s them saving you from being wrapped up in Leona. The man has a solid grip on you and won’t let you go. Ruggie gets you out, and Grim drags you away.

He will leave you on “read” for almost all your text messages. This is funny because the notification that he read it pops up almost immediately. This man purposefully turned on read receipts for your number so he could do that. Normally you text him, you see that he read it, you sigh, then you call him. He always picks up, albeit a bit grumpily. Still, he keeps your ringer on specifically so he can hear your phone when you call (maybe that’s why he always leaves you on read, call the boy so he can hear your voice).

Ruggi Bucchi

Ruggi is going to figure out he likes you early on, like during the Spelldrive tournament era. Around the time you were chasing him around the school, actually. Of course, due to reasons, he simply couldn’t allow it, but it does make him wonder more about you. As soon as the whole overblotting incident is over, it is so on.

He’s going to go straight to middle school boy crush mode, teasing you and stealing your shit. Your poor wallet is sadly the thing he begins snatching the most from you. He does tend to bring you snacks with the money that he took from you, and he’s pretty observant of the kinds of things you like. Sometimes he’s indulgent, though, and brings a giant box of donuts for you two to snack on while watching movies on a laptop he “borrowed” from an Ignihyde student.

When he’s not running errands for Leona, he’s probably going to be by your side. He doesn’t even knock when he visits. 9 out of 10 times, he comes in through your bedroom window in the middle of the night. Is totally the guy who will walk in while you're showering and pull back the curtains to ask you a question. “Where are - stop screaming, it’s just me - where are the hot Cheetos?” He has no shame about seeing you naked, either. It’s just another thing. If you want, you can talk to him about boundaries, but he probably won’t listen.

Ruggi is going to be asking if you guys are dating yet or not. It’s going to make you pause for a moment before you realize all the things he’s been doing are courting. When you sigh and say, “Ya sure, we’re dating.” He’s just going to smile and be like, “Awesome, because I’ve been wanting to kiss you, but it would be awkward if we weren’t.” Before doing just that.

Now, whenever he steals your wallet, you’re either going to have nothing or suddenly have too much cash. He probably stole it from Leona; not gonna lie, but you’ll take it as him paying you back either way. Besides, it’s nice to have some spending money on occasion, and you might even spoil Ruggie a bit by buying him something. He’ll be suspicious at first, wondering what you want from him, but just play along. As him for a kiss as payment or something, and all suspicions will drop. He’s in the mindset of “If someone does something nice for you, they’re after something,” and it’s a hard mindset to break.

This boy is busy. Between working for Leona, classes, and doing odd part-time jobs, not to mention club practice? You will have to drag Ruggie out of his bed one night and have a sit-down talk about spending some time for himself and not running himself ragged. He appreciates the thought, but he likes having money in his pocket. If you mention you also want more time with him, he will consider it.

I say consider, but there’s also a chance where he’s like, “Oh…why don’t we work the part-time jobs together?” and somehow you’re roped into working odd jobs with Ruggie. Thankfully he makes it fun, and Grim isn’t going to snuff at you bringing home tuna since you have spending money. Not to mention the extra cash helps you renovate Ramshackle a little bit, so it’s a win-win.

He will, however, make time for you. In between classes, he’s finding you. He’ll drag you to get Leona his meal and deliver it, goofing off the entire time. Then when that’s done, he’s dragging you again to have a meal with him. There have been some times when you see his cooking skills firsthand and will be drooling over what he makes you. He’ll be snickering at your expression the entire time.

The only calm time you have with Ruggie is at night. It’s when all his duties are done, and there’s nothing left on his ongoing list of things to do. It’s when you curl into him and talk about your day. Ruggie enjoys hearing more about your day than talking about his own, but upon being prompted, he’ll tell you all about it. Most of it is venting over something Leona asked him to do that was unreasonable. Still, it’s worth it to see you laughing.

While he is busy, tell him a day and time of what you want to do, and he’ll make it work. He’ll ditch practice and tell Leona he’s busy and go with you. You’re important to him, and he wants you to know. He might even spend some of his hard-earned cash on you. He’d prefer it if you paid for the date, though. The tragedy of a broke couple, but it’s worth it…just do free dates when you can.

Jack Howl

For Jack, falling for you is a very slow-burn process. Neither of you is really going to notice it until it’s the point of no return. You guys start hanging out more often, you being absolutely endeared with his honest nature and good heart. In all honesty, you’ll probably be the one falling first. It’s hard not to when he’s always kind to you. Sure your first meeting was a bit rocky, but it certainly got so much better as time went on.

When Jack puts two and two together that he likes you, he’s probably going to be asking for advice. He doesn’t know if there are major differences in courting humans vs. courting other beastmen. Rumors spread almost instantly (his fault for asking Epel, who then asked Rook, who got invested in this romance story). It was pretty easy to find out that Jack did indeed like you and wanted to court you.

Help the boy out a little. Be the one to instigate certain things, like holding onto his arm while you guys are walking together to class. Instigate more and more things as time goes on until he realizes, “Oh…this human likes me as more than friends, huh?”. Once he realizes it, he’s going to be asking you out the same day. It’s not going to be some cute romantic story of him bringing you to a scenic area. It’ll probably just be him approaching you after class and asking you out on an official date with him.

Wolves mate for life so getting into a relationship for him means absolute loyalty to you. He will be protective but not about to bite someone’s head off if they talk to you. He’s protective, not jealous. He’s aware you have friends, and you’re at an all-male school, so he’s not going bonkers about you having a social life. Still, If you didn’t know wolves mated for life…well, you’ll be in for a bit of a culture shock.

He took you saying “Yes” to dating as saying, “One day, we’re getting married.” You might want to explain a little bit about how humans work and how we tend to date for a while to make sure you’re a good match for one another before committing to life. That’s fine with Jack, though, he was planning on wooing you for the rest of your life anyways, so it’s not a big deal. He just hopes you don’t get bored of him (you won’t).

Jack is gonna have a soft spot for you and will probably spoil you a bit too much. If you say your feet hurt, he’s probably going to be seen carrying you to all your classes for the rest of the week. If you comment you’re hungry, he’s going to use his imposing stature to fight through the cafeteria and get you the one food you’ve always wanted but can never get your hands on.

Jack loves quality time with you. Please go to his track meets so he can run up and hug you when it’s done (He might be a sweaty boy, but it’s fine because being pressed against all that muscle is heavenly). After class, he doesn’t mind studying with you and doing homework. You might be in different classes, but the curriculum is still the same, so you have the same work that needs to be done.

You have acquired a free pass to touch his ears. Sure he’ll be flustered, but he doesn’t mind when you mess with his hair. Anybody else, and he’s going to be grumpy, but with you, it’s endearing. If you’re shorter than him, he might even bend down a bit to give you easier access. Plop you down on a sofa or bench to let you go ham. If you’re somehow taller than him, first off, respect; second off, he might feel a bit more bashful towards the gesture.

It’s easy to catch him off guard, honestly. He’s not too crazy about PDA, but if you drag him in for a quick kiss on the lips, he will feel his cheeks heating up. Please give him some more warning next time. Not that he didn’t love it, but it’s embarrassing. Behind closed doors, he’ll pay you back tenfold, though, leaving kisses all over your face. Hopefully, nobody ever catches him doing this because they will laugh at him without a doubt. He’s just too cute with you, honestly.

Jack will never lie to you. If there’s information he’s withholding, it’s probably for a surprise. If you ask him about it, he’ll tell you as much. Just know it’ll be in your favor at the end of the day. You’d also never have to worry about his straying from you. He has eyes for only you, and he makes that clear on a day-to-day basis. The times when you’re curled up with him on a bed, he always makes sure to tell you all the things he normally doesn’t say and enjoys how red you get from it.

I think it'd be cute. Besides, the first years are absolutely adorable and I would die for them. I would. They're honestly my favorite group bc of how well they play off of each other.

Characters: Deuce, Ace, Jack

Deuce having a crush on his upperclassmen would be pretty adorable. He's already fidgety around girls so when he's got a crush on someone, it will show. He remembers how it happened. Deuce was running late for homeroom and crashed into you, sending all your stuff scattering to the floor. He's apologizing over and over again as he helped you pick everything up. Then, he bowed and you giggled. Deuce is so serious sometimes and you find it cute. You patted his head, letting your hand linger just a bit as you considered how soft his silky hair is. "It's fine, sweetie."

From there, he's a mess any time he interacts with you. Sweaty, blushy, tongue tied, the works. You'd think it was a romance anime with the way he's acting.

"U-uh, senpai, I w-wanted to ask if...you could tutor me sometime? I mean...well..."

"Senpai! I g-got this from the Mystery Shop! You don't have to accept it if...huh? You will?"

"If...you're not busy...I have a track meet after school...if you'd like to come..."

Yes, our usually bold n brash recovering delinquent is really into you. And you stand there smiling and waiting patiently for him to make it through his sentences. You've started to crush on him too, actually. He's always so passionate and earnest and admittedly, you had been checking him out long before you officially met. It's Deuce that confesses first, but he blurts it out as if he'd explode if he didn't.

Ace is shameless with his crush on Senpai. We expect nothing less from him. His boyish charm is insanely attractive and it carries him for the most part. Light brushes of your arm, winking at you and some other stuff I'm sure he asked his brother for advice on. He's had a gf before so this should be easy, right? Right?

HAH! His senpai is going to make him work for it. You volley back a lot of his flirting, and when you're unexpectedly playing the same game, he's speechless. Your touches linger, you get into his personal space, you talk to him like he's a clumsily little boy. It's all maddening and exciting to him.

"Ace, you know better than to talk to me like that. Did you talk to your lil girlfriend that way too?" You purr softly as you tug lightly on his tie. Now, he's blushing so hard that his heart tattoo nearly matches the rest of his face. Personally, I hc that ADeuce are into older people/attractive to older people respectively. Like I said, their boyish personalities are just too fuckin cute.

Ah, anyways, Ace is speechless and it's you who finally confesses. He's your new pet and training him is the best part of your relationship.

Jack crushes on his upperclassmen and it's literally puppy love. He thinks the way you carry yourself is inspirational. You breeze through the school with your head held high and secretly, Jack thinks youre cooler than Leona. When you brush past him once, he's particularly interested in the way you smell. I think he's into scents. He's gotta be. Anyway, if it's shampoo, cologne or just your natural body, Jack is really really into it. So much so that he knows where you are pretty often. Sometimes he follows you or his tail wags when he's doing something else. Like, literally you turn the corner before he comes into the hallway and his ears are alert and he's sniffing the air. Very low key about it though.

So the period goes fine until you're listening to instructions. Jack's by your side and Vargas is going on and on. You're bored to tears until you feel something twhap twhap twhapping on your butt. You nearly jump out of your skin until you realize that nobody's behind you. Is it a ghost? They like to bother people during gym the most.

He must get closer to you. The scant scent trails aren't enough. When you officially meet, its through a crossover class for PE. You're not abysmal, but having a good buddy for the period would be essential. Before you can assess who you want, Jack is awkwardly standing next to you. "Do you...need a partner?" And when you say yes, you see his eyes light up. Was he...surprised that you agreed?

Until you subtly glance behind you. Jack's tail is hitting you! Its so fucking cute that you stifle a laugh. He heard you and it clicks that he was thumping your ass. Once Vargas shuts up, Jack is trying to find a way to apologize to you but you stopped him. "It's alright, I'm not upset. Besides, it makes me happy to see you excited. You like being around me, don't you?"

"...Yeah...I kind of do..." when you reach out to pat his head, he's surprised and extremely flustered. "H-huh?!"

"You're such a good boy, Jack. I like being around you too." From there, you seal the deal even though he sort of confesses first.

Imma make a post with what I write for and rules stuff like that, but yes I write for twisted wonderland (everyone but Ortho and Grim; atleast romantically). Enjoy!!!

Ever since you’ve been transported to Night Raven College, your experience has been…interesting to say the least. With all the magic, over blotting, and interesting personalities in this school, you can’t help but think that what you originally thought was a dream started to feel like an unwavering reality. You couldn’t say it was to bad though, Adeuce and Grim always made you feel like you belonged. However, there was one more person that made it all worth while.

The first time he met you was a little strange to say the least. You were walking out in the woods were he usually is. He could hear you coming from a mile away, but he knew who you were and that you posed no threat. What he didn’t know is that you’d tripped on a stray stick and knocked straight into him. He was upset he couldn’t sense your presence but as you looked up at him and apologized, he realized he could let it slide.

"Y'know," Lilia begins, in a calm but sinister tone, snapping Malleus out of his thoughts. He found it sweet how the young master found someone who can hold his heart without any consequences, although he was to in denial to admit it, atleast, out loud.

“I don’t understand why you don’t just confess to them already,”

Malleus glances over his shoulder the older face with an inquisitive look; taking his eye off you and your little group trying to put out a fire grim started on the fountian in the courtyard. How the hell does that even happen? but before he has more time to dwell on the thought, Lilia continues.

“The prefect, young master, you should tell them before it’s to late”

“I have no idea what you’re taking about,” he says with a dismissive wave of his hand. How he imagined it in yours on the not so happy days. How’d he intertwine your fingers together, rubbing his thumb alongside it. How he’d… BUDUMP. Malleus reaches the same hand he thought about holding yours with to his chest. He glances back at you trying to keep Ace from strangling the fury felon. He smiles slightly but it drops as soon as it came when he hears Lilias small giggle. He glares but doesn’t say a word.

“All I’m saying is you’re not one to shy away from things. Besides,” he says dragging out the E.

“That fuzzy fellow in Savannaclaw has that look in his eyes,” pointing his finger to the fountain.

“What lo-“ but as he turns around the trickster is already out of sight… of course. With a sigh he turns back around to catch one last glance of you as he too needs to be somewhere else. Though, when he shifts his gaze back to your crew he finds a new addition there stopping the scuffle between the red head and the kitty. Leona Kingscolar. He observes as you thank the dorm leader, even opting to give him a hug. Your actions warranting a blush and a scold from Leona. Malleus thinks that’s a bit to much, but hey, if that was him he certainly wouldn’t be complaining.

While observing this, Malleus tightens the fist that clutched his heart earlier, a wave of emotion just hit him. He’s never felt like this before, so, what could it be. Anger? No, Malleus isn’t angry with you or his fellow student; well, just little with himself. Sad? No, Malleus knows your a naturally affectionate person. Jealous… that’s what it is. Now, he isn’t the type to get upset with you about this. He won’t avoid you are stop speaking to you, he’s way to mature for that. He reflects a little, realizing it’s not Leonas or your fault. If anything it’s his for being denial for so long, he huffs a little before letting out a soft sigh.

“Child of a Man, you are one silly creature,” his gaze drops to his feet before giving a soft smile. With that, he turns around walking back into the building. Tomorrow will be the day he finally tells you just how he feels.

5 signs you're dating a vampire (by the great grimm)

sign 1 (one): tends to avoid sunlight (like. a lot)

another day in ramshackle dorm, another day of the student body marching through like an endless parade that actually lives there. normally Grimm minds a fair amount (the prefect is His magickless servant, not theirs!) - but today he's Extra grumpy about it.

today was the designated (self-appointed) nap day between him and you. he always gets a small can of tuna (and belly scratches!) but... naturally, that all flew out the window the very second Lilia flew in.

decorated with a black, lacy parasol (something that looks delicate and old) and he refuses to put it away until every window is closed and curtain drawn. the very second the last sliver of light disappears, so does the parasol. naturally - avoiding sunlight isn't Always suspicious, but this is Lilia Vanrouge. everything he does is suspicious (according to Grimm, anyways).

the diasomnia member simply giggles as he usually does and waves grimm's concerns away with a flippant hand. "i don't do well in the sun. i burn very easily~"

the cat gives him a suspicious look before running up to his own room in the dorm. he was going to nap - regardless if lilia wanted to drop by and avoid sunlight. it's been a long day and he's sure you would yell for help if it was needed.

(unspoken is how he lingers just outside the doorway, sleeping while an ear remains perked - just in case.)

sign 2 (two): he refuses to eat garlic (slight agreement there)

garlic, by any means, is far from grimm's favorite seasoning - it makes his nose itch. so when lilia comes over for dinner (the 91th time this month alone), he barely notices when the older student gently rejects any offers of Anything that even smells remotely of garlic.

"ah," he sighs - seemingly tired as if he's answered this question a million times before - "i'm simply... allergic to garlic. it doesn't particularly agree with me."

grimm vaguely remembers adeuce talking about Something (symptoms of some disease) and a few things caught his attention. things lilia did. he thinks they called it vampirism.

you'd gotten onto him several times now about jumping to conclusions, so he sat silently at the table (eyes never leaving lilia) as the student joked and giggled. it was totally normal and fine for someone to not like garlic - but the more grimm thought about it the more suspicious he got.

sign 3 (three): never wears silver (from what's been observed - thank you, r.h.)

sign 4 (four): has no reflection!!! Ever!!!!

perhaps inlisting the help of one rook hunt wasn't the brightest idea - he was terrifying and always manage to make grimm jump a few feet in the air. but he was also the best at observing others - often while remaining unseen himself.

therefor, he was the perfect choice for what the cat had in mind. a big tell of vampirism was avoiding silver - something about it burning their skin. and while lilia didn't often wear jewelry - he Had been spotted sporting it when dressed up for a holiday, school event, or something to do with his club. (rook even mentioned one time about him doing something called 'cosplay' with idia.)

sure, some people looked better in different metals, but Everyones worn silver at least once. and the fact lilia seemed to avoid it only made grimm more suspicious.

(naturally, what the little monster Didn't see was lilia waving in a friendly manner to rook - who was lounging in a tree, within perfect sight of his 'prey'.)

the mirrors in ramshackle dorm were old and busted and dirty. but he also knew there was one the prefect used quite often - the one in their bedroom. grimm could never use it, as it sat too high for him to feel comfortable climbing towards. but... on lilia's more frequent visits - that was the only mirror he seemed to use.

sign 5 (five): mysterious red stains that he never bothers to explain

and it was once (only once) grimm was in the room when lilia was using the mirror. he was re-applying what the prefect later explained to be eye-liner - something that could be done without a mirror but it was easier to see your reflection.

when grimm looked up at said mirror being used, he saw no reflection. no eyes, no nose, nothing on lilia's person was reflected back. only vampires had no reflection - every other creature in twisted wonderland had a reflection (this grimm knew for a fact.)

he'd barely rambled out some excuse before bolting from the room - haunted by lilia's giggles as the vampire older student went back to finishing his eye-liner.

the final nail in the coffin for grimm was when he would show up with random red stains peppering his white undershirt (red! red stains!)

sign 6 (six): he has a biting problem (written and scribbled out by the prefect)

the prefect always brushed it off with a light scolding to be more careful next time, meanwhile lilia would just give them a secretive little smile.

grimm is more firm in his beliefs now. he can say with absolutely no room for doubt - lilia vanrouge is a vampire. perhaps even the only one in twisted wonderland.

lilia is just a regular fae who is more expressive in his affections - he has sharp teeth and likes to nibble. garlic smells too strong to anyone with heightened senses (see: beastmen and other fae). he does wear silver but only on special occassions.

the old mirror in the prefects room is imbued with an old magick, it only reflects mortal souls. if malleus, crowley, or even sebek were to look into it - there would also be no reflection.

lilia has a pale complexion and does burn easily - he's also just a fan of pastel gothic fashions and when not attending lessons (in his own free time) tries to incorporate pieces of the style into his wardrobe around campus.

the stains, however, are blood. lilia's fangs are sharp and he's not always gentle with his bites. but far as anyone else is concerned - its just ketchup or wine.

I'm pretty sure Dawny would be offered a job at RSA as a sword teacher. And he would also took care of a kind of fencing club in NRC :3 (Man wants to bring money at home- He was a houseman back in the time because Silver was a baby and the situation between him and the fae was still not so good so now he wants to be more active after his sleep 🥹)

I crave for Y/n schoolmate reaction 😭 The Adeuce duo + Grim are the most incredible. But everyone is priceless. "The F- Silver is your child ? He's older than you !" (In a scenario where Y/n be back at her regular age as a first year when returning in the present-)

Perhaps Lilia hid the whole truth to Silver. Like, if he was awake before the Knight, perhaps he thought it was an accident. And if Meleanor and Levan don't success to put the child back to sleep, it can add fuel to the idea. Lilia could be scared that Silver would never met his mother and other father because of a magic problem. The rest of the event would be similar to the original timeline.

Actually, timetravel and changing timeline is a trope that have many different concept, views and solution. But I kinda like the idea of a timeline "arranging/reguling itself" so the flows of event do not become too much aberrant after some big change (and it's actually a pretty simple way to avoid time paradox- 🫥). It can also explain Y/n returning. Because honestly, I think no one would willingly go back to the present (in another world-) after having a kid and living in a cute Cottage with 2 handsome and perfect husbands-

Plus Teen Silver play a essential role in original timeline. Because without him, no dream, no saving, Y/n in Malleus dream forever, no timetravel after that, no story- And I need him to meet Sebek and Malleus because sad croco boi need his training brother figure and big lonely prince need to save baby from Lilia's cooking. Meleanor and Levan have their limits-

Yes, considering all the pain and suffering the original canon timeline went. I wanted this OT3 timeline to have a happy ending for them. 💚🥰 There will still be struggles of course, but in the end, I want them to have a wonderful ending.

Dawny being more active and wanting to bring financial stability to his family is so sweet. I can see him become a teacher at RSA and mentor the students there and NRC. He doesn't want to anyone to feel left out so he sets up a club at NRC. Lilia would mention how he has more than enough money for their family, but of course, Dawny does not want to just let Lilia handle everything. And really, how can anyone say no to those determined looking eyes?

This will allow him to not only have a reason to visit both schools, but he can also spend time with his son and his classmates. I can see Silver and Sebek popping in occasionally to train with Dawny. After all, learning from two powerful warriors can only help them in the future as knights for Malleus. I can also see them being Dawny's training partner for the other students who want to learn and observe as well.

Then you also have Lilia and Dawny, I can imagine they would both have practice fights to show off to the students. YN warned them not to get hurt and not to destroy anything during their spar.

Currently timeline shenanigans with YN's schoolmates is what I love, especially for the first years. Jack is extra alert because you're a mom...or well, mom figure? And as a wolf, they take pride in protecting maternal figures. But he is also so confused because how does he treat you? You are still in his same year and age.

Then you have Epel, I can see him switch from Miss to Mrs. to Ma'am and just get frustrated. 🤣 Sebek is going through all the emotions. You’re a human who is very well loved, wife of Lord Lilia but also somehow Silver's mother and the wife of the Knight of Dawn, someone help this boy. He starts treating you with great respect, but you have to stop him and compromise with him. At school and other places, he can just treat you normally. If he's comfortable, he can be respectful back in Briar Valley. After all, you're friends with Sebek and you want it to stay that way and you dont want that to change because of some status he thinks you have now.

The "Silver is older than you" comment has me laughing.

Here are some other Twst character interactions I can think of once they found out.

Leona: Now calls you 'Lady or Princess" with that smirk on his face, trying to irritate you.

Kalim: finds this whole situation interesting. He doesn't fully understand it but as long as everyone is happy he's happy.

Jamil is now worried because he now has to worry about more people not to offend...and then he remembers what he did to you in book 4 and watch him hide in his hoodie.

Rook: loves the chaos and all the emotions around him. I can see him want to spar with both Dawny and Lilia.

Idia: is wondering how some of his favorite tropes in anime/games became real. He is also slowly trying to disappear because too many beautiful people and he doesn't want the attention.

Ortho: Well, he's having fun calculating the likelihood of this entire situation happening. In short, wow YN, you really beat the odds in everything you do.

I can imagine the pain and suffering Lilia went through to hide the truth from Silver. He loves Silver and is happy to raise him as his son, after all Silver is his son, but it hurts him that you and Dawny couldn't be there to see how your three's special boy grew up. YN and Dawny would have to step in not to only assuage this guilt and comfort him, but to do the same with Silver.

Silver would definitely need to be sat down and talk to about all this, about how loved he is and how you three are happy to see him happy and healthy.

Exactly! Who wants to return to their normal life after having such a precious family? Especially who wants to be annoyed by the headmaster constantly? So this is a win-win on all situations.

Thinking about the original timeline and how while it is the same, it is still different for all the good ways. Sebek has his best friend, Malleus got to help raise Silver and have his parents, and Silver gets extra family members who love him.

Meleanor: The spoiling aunt who will dress up her child and Silver (and later Sebek) in cute clothes, will kidnap him whenever Lilia isn't looking or Malleus tries to hide Silver from Lilia's cooking.

Levan: Who can also teach Silver and Sebek history and tactics. He can tell them stories and calm down his wife when she gets hyper.

When I first woke up and saw this?????? I had no idea what the hell you were trying to say. In my mind I was like “Oh okay? Like my hcs for him? I think he was even weirder when he was hanging around Leona.” and then I went to my feed and felt my toes curl at the sight of a COWBOY?!?!?!?!?!??

I am appalled. I am stunned. I have been shaken to my core. First? I get that gorgeous Leona ready to slap the tip on MY CAMERA??? Now we have Rook before he became his full beefy self covered in dirt… Oh my god bro I’m gonna be sexual.

Look at how thick his eyebrows are. Look at his faint little freckles? His hair… And his eyes don’t look as vibrant like how they are now?? I know he just smelled like straight up soil going to class with his goofy ass cowboy hat and a crossbow. I do think he would be so fine and sexy if he let his hair grow out? The bob is very iconic of course but I am very excited to see this full card because I want to see how ratty it is.

Rook Hunt. I’m sorry I don’t make content for you. But I think that licking the sweat from your body would be so so enjoyable.

But with this card… That means we may get more in a similar vein. Like Delinquent!Deuce maybe? Riddle as a first year maybe? … The Riddle one is I want because I can’t imagine him being even smaller than he already is haha. This is extremely exciting and Yana has already mentioned Book 7 is not the end of the story. The third years aren’t really our main cast, it’s the first years specifically ADeuce? So of course we have to see them get older and become third years in place of our other characters! Until then, maybe we’ll have a book where we get to see what Rooks life was like as a 1st year? Meeting the gorgeous and lovely Vil before commanding to be transferred.

He furrowed his brows, leading you to sit down together on a fallen tree. "What is the matter?" You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose. "I'm sorry. I just- I really wanted to get you something special for your birthday.. i just couldn't think of anything. i'm sorry Malleus." You finished putting your head in your hands. He stared ay your hunched figure with slight bewilderment. He paused before laying his hand on your back. "This." You looked at him. "What?" "This. This is what I wanted." He smiled, moving a lock of hair out of your face. "I cannot fathom a gift I would desire more today than you darling." He kissed your forehead. It was your turn to smile feeling like you were going to cry over how wholesome he is. "I have an idea now" He raised his eyebrows "Oh? reall-" You cut him off pressing a kiss to his lips. He moved his hand to run through the hair at the nape of your neck keeping you close. You pulled away leaning your forehead to his. Letting out an airy chuckle you wished him a happy birthday. Ace Info Compilation part 11: Ace and Cater

Cater and Ace meet for the first time right after the opening ceremonies and during Heartslabyul’s welcome party, when Cater overhears him trying to convince Deuce to sneak into the headmage’s office.

The second time they meet Cater accosts both him and Deuce for a selfie as “the ones who broke a billion-thaumark chandelier” and “the one who ate the housewarden’s tart that same night.”

After drafting them into painting roses Cater reveals that Ace won’t actually be allowed back into the dorm until he brings a tart to replace what he stole, and he never intended to allow them back in the first place.

On EN Cater assigns Ace and Deuce the nickname “hunting season,” but only uses it once before changing to “A2.” On JP, his nickname for the two is always “ADeuce.”

In a vignette we see Ace going to Cater’s aid of his own accord: when other Heartslabyul students accuse Cater of being a poor leader and call for Riddle to collar him, Ace interrupts to reveal that their problem can be solved via Cater’s Magicam account. Ace even joins in to help Cater’s group without complaint, saying it is “like a treasure hunt.”

Ace often seems to blur the lines of politeness and formality, and this is especially true of his interactions with Cater: despite Cater being both older and an upperclassman, Ace is quick to call Cater out for going off “on some tangent” and for showing up to try their chestnut tart without helping prepare it in Book 1, despite having only just met him.

Ace also calls Cater “way too shallow” and “a shameless fanboy” in Book 5.

Ace is possibly just very comfortable around Cater, saying that he would choose him as his older brother if he could.

We see Cater sharing sweets from Trey with Ace and the two students attend the Wish Upon a Star event together (where Ace offers to take a video on Cater’s behalf), Ace performs sleight of hand tricks for Cater, offers to teach him (in exchange for a favor) and goes to Cater when Deuce is having difficulty with math.

During Halloween we see Cater get a phone call from Trey saying that Ace has jumped in to help Deuce with a problem and Cater responds, “Ugh, he’s probably just trying to do me a ‘favor’ so he can get leverage over me!”

(Ace refusing to help without receiving proper compensation seems to be a theme: in a vignette where Silver is having trouble coming up with a look for Halloween Ace offers to give him advice in exchange for receiving tips on how to recreate Diasomnia’s gothic aesthetic. (“…since I’m gonna be scratching your back, you can go ahead and scratch mine!”)

Ace seems to namedrop Cater very often, mentioning him in Book 3 and 5 saying he has “surprisingly good moves” on a broom and expressing displeasure that Cater tagged a picture of him on his birthday as “GrowingBoyAcey.”

When Ace learns that most of the dorm disappeared at the start of Spectral Soiree his first reaction is, “Wait, where’s Cater?”

My take: He can be uptight and arguebly doesn't have fun in the same way others do but its been shown a few times riddle is a bit feral in his own way

♣️ Trey HC: Sweet mama friend whos done no wrong and needs a break

My take: He is a sweet mama friend but he has been shown quite a few times to do some (harmless) underhanded things for his own gain (Starsending Event: Getting a new blender/juicer/whatever it was)

♦️Cater HC: Bubbly guy whos secretly depressed with an internet addiction and THATS IT

My take: though not inherently wrong a lot of ppl dumb down his character to be very vague and two dimensional, Cater is also very alturistic in some cases and has shown to have a variety of skills (maybe not Trey/Ruggie lvl but its still skills)

♥️Ace HC: Mean as hell even in pranks(? this isnt one thats blatantly stated but written on a lot)

My take: Ace CAN be an ass but a lot of the time he will backout or realize his fuck up and make up for it, hes not jus sum ass that ppl talk too, hes a bully in the most loving way possible (lookin at deuce about that one LOL)

♠️Deuce HC: Oblivious dumbass

My take: Now in the context of School or sayings/confusing wording THIS IS VERY TRUE, but ppl make Deuce an all around idiot ive noticed and it annoys me, Deuce is very streets smart both in literal and just like,, hes a dude that knows things, and it annoys me so bad when they jus make Deuce a dumbass

🦁Leona HC: Hes heavily self interested

My take: also another that isnt inherently wrong but also is taken way outta context, Leona can and will be self serving but hes also shown to be kind and considerate and willing to help (even if he tries to deflect by saying it wasn't on his mind/not that it was truly within his heart), hes just a more intense Tsundere than Jack

🍩Ruggie HC: Same as leona with heavy self interest

My take: now this is more true then leonas but theres been a few times where ruggies done things for no/little gain, especially when it involves some level of danger, he may still joke about it but hes always pulled through

🐺Jack HC: this is also not a stated HC but ppl seem to forget how territorial/aggressive Jack gets so in writings hes usually just sum laid back guy

My take: Dude has been shown countless times to be headstrong and be aggressive and territorial, maybe not in the Adeuce, Tweel way but he in his own right has been shown to be aggressive (even if playful or more tamed then the formentioned)

My take: I AGREE AND DISAGREE, ive seen ppl give some characters vitiligo but NEVER to azul, if anything it WOULD be Azul, not only that Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease with factors such as stress, and who stresses more than anyone? AZUL, i usually consider most Visual canon to be just that with very little HC's but if Azul is to be interpreted with dark skin, mf has vitiligo

😈Floyd HC: Older of the twins and a variety of romantic HC's/writings i cant all list

My take: Its been shown in either a viginette or an event (i think an event) that despite being born within the same timing, Jade was actually first before Floyd (Jade makes a joke about keeping him around so im guessing the mf murked all his other siblings eggs djebdjsb ???) // As for romantic HC's writings what annoys me most is that he will usually be interpreted as very loving + his mood swings, i know damn well if Floyd had a gf/bf hes sTILL abiding to himself, now there are some factors that wouldnt keep this true to a default but floyd is floyd

👿Jade HC: He's just as seen in game//no real depth

My take: Its shown during the camp vargas event that Jade is actually extremely excitable and even (according to those around him (i think Cater says it)) that he even shouts in excitement about the natural Oven he was gunna make to cook the fish, Jade is very mannerly and a bit hard to read and its been stated as true, but Jade is also just a fucking nerd as well when you peel back the layers he isnt just that same guy as before

🎉Kalim HC: Both in HC's and writings a LOT of people drive on the fact of kalims "obliviousness"

My take: NOW THIS ONE MAKES ME THE MOST ANNOYED, Kalim may be happy go lucky and sunshine like, but that motherfucker is AWARE, now you may try and ref Jamil in B4 but- BUT- Jamil is his literal lifelong friend and even if he was blatantly backstabbing at some points Kalim gave him the benefit of doubt, because hes known him all of his life and ik you mfs LYIN if you said you wouldnt for a life long friend... // Also Kalim despite his delivery being happy/sunshine like, Kalim has been shown to have a more feral (similer to Ace) side and even a more snarky side, though rare and playful at most hes not just some 🌞 fr

🐍Jamil HC: Transfem

My take: NOW BEFORE YALL GET MAD, its not the inherit fact that ppl will HC this, do what you want have fun, but i hate that a lot of the reason ppl will HC this, is simply long hair more fem aligned appearance.,,, suddenly men can't have shit,,,, again if you want to i dont really care it just a random irk of mine at most

My take: Similar to Jamil, a lot of ppl will HC Vil transf/m due to the fact that within the JP ver, Vil uses a pronoun/self identifier commonly used for/in feminine use, but also for masc use,,, this one is also jus a random irk and i truly do not mind at all but i hate when ppl base of very little things (ik i sound stupid these r jus my opinions LOL)...// Self interest again but Vil's literally in B5 shown to not only not tell anyone but do it on his own whim to post Epel's family product so they can buy out to the point Epel had to give back the crates of Juice his family got him, Vil did that himself, he may be cunt(y) but hes also very considerate

🏹Rook HC: N/A

My take: Surprisingly i see very little HC's of Rook and when i do they make sense to me (Ex: Dark skin and coily/wavy hair, mf was born n raised in Afterglow savanna so even if he has whiter genetics, mf DEFINITELY having darker skin, hes a hunter hes oUTSIDE)

🍏Epel: Transmasc (but for the wrong reasons)

My take: Now of all characters to HC as trans DOES make sense, but also at the same time Epel normally doesnt mind who he is, its only when its used negatively/to mock him or something that he knows ppl will think "less of him" for it,,, this one irks me way less but a lot of ppl will HC/Write epel way more sensitively about himself then he is whether with a trans HC or not, overall though this HC does make the most sense to me

My take: Same as Rook, i dont see a lot i dont disagree with or aren't too far from Canon, i will say my fav Idia HC is that hes a complete weeb and has a body pillow of some sort, man wants to be a non normie so bad but fell for the normie weeb traps (body pillow and prolly owns a figurine of the waifu) LOL

🌐Ortho HC: N/A

My take: i dont see a lot of Visual or normal HC's in general for ortho which makes me sad, give my son more swag,,,, i will say i did see a HC that orthos normal body (robo) his shoulders are white boards and people will write stuff on them and that ppl will normally decorate him with stickers :3

My take: way too many to write on this post but i will say that for rom! HC's and writings... My take: Doing rom! HC's/Writings again.,,, i feel like in general Lillia would actually avoid personal romances, he wouldn't be like EW ICKY, but considering his past and current responsibilities (Looking after his two sons Mal and Silver and then their cousin Sebek), i think it would be much harder for him to actually be involved in romance

🐊Sebek HC: Also a LOT GAHHH

My take: Now for this one i feel like ppl make Sebek similar to deuce and make him an oblivious dunce, Sebek is smart as hell but he jus doesn't understand customs outside of Fae, hes from Briar valley where most people are fae, and also dont have internet, you cant blame him for being bad at lingo and oblivious to what we would normally know by like age 8../// Also funnily enough i feel like Sebek and Mal get rev for rom HC's (Mal being filled with Swagger while Lillia helps sebek),,, i feel like despite not knowing normal customs,, if Sebek ever pursued someone romantically he would actually not be bad at it, sure a bit lost here n there but i feel like hes got swagger

⚔️Silver HC: That he takes things passively

My take: Silver has been shown to act against others wishes even those with authority (Even more so in B7 but i wont spoil),, Silver often acts as a voice of reason to Sebek as well in those moments but due to Sebeks tunnel vision up until B7, mf wont hear it, and since Silver basically has known Sebek all his life, to see him not press on the matter more in certain aspects is normal, ppl with headstrong siblings know this especially, sometimes you jus gotta be like "okay fine"

In general i feel like a lot of people forget THIS IS AN ENTIRE SCHOOL the game is set in, teachers can take on different classes,,, but theres more teachers than just Vargas, Crewel and Trein, YOU SEE THAT BIG ASS SCHOOL? Theres a least 20 more teachers runnin around that bitch other than the ghosts, but since its a game and not like a series, Obviously they cant jus throw a random teacher every scene

✨Crowley HC: N/A

My take: A lot of HC's are usually just addition to canon or within character so i have no complaints

🐱Trein HC: Also N/A

My take: a lot of HC's for trein r very in character so i honestly dont have any annoyances

My take: as a teacher? yes duh, but as a person? Crewel is definitely cheetah print joint smokin leggings and hello kitty tattoo aunt and classical and fancy wine aunt fusion, soon as mf off the clock hes MESSY in the auntie way

My take: now this isnt a HC/Writing but the way EVERYONE CLOWNS VARGAS ATTIRE..... the costumes for crewel n vargas in camp vargas were not bad at all imo, they werent spos to look like runway models or the latest trend that was GOOD costume design for something that was only spos to be VAGUELY seen cuz its DARK

TWST X No Straight Roads (ft. 1010!Yuu)

After the whole Rock Revolution fiasco, Neon J decided it's time to introduce a new member to 1010. Also because his twins (Eloni and Haym) wanted a baby sibling.

So he made Kaw*. The crew's newest member, rapper, and the mysterious one. Since they're recently made, they're as sentient as MK-I androids, but it doesn't stop their fellow troops and captain from trying to indulge them.

Unfortunately, an incident involving Kliff messing with Neon J and DJSS's newest equipment caused them to be pulled to Twisted Wonderland to everyone's horror.

Facts about 1010!Yuu

Their name is a pun on two things 'kau' which is one of the ways to say 'you', which is in a more casual way as opposed to 'awak'. And also 'kaw' which means strong tasting beverages.

They're not sentient (yet)

They are made as a foil to Rin, from their colors (white vs purple), roles (leader and loner) and 'age' (oldest and youngest).

Their weapon is a gun, and they have a sniper gun installed in their arms. Think of Lady Nagan from MHA.

They haven't met Bunk Bed Junction. Their siblings were planning to meet with them until the incident.

Throughout the prologue they're just standing there like ._. while the chaos is happening around them. Nothing in their programming make them equipped with this situation.

Flirt with the first years + dorm leaders because they mistake them as a crowd of fans.

Their base programming/personality can be summed up as: quiet.

Shroud brothers are equal part excited and confused. Excited because holy crap, an idol robot!? That's cool! Confused because who installs weapons inside a idol robot!?

They're waterproof, as they are a navy robot.

Idia realizes he's a hypocrite because he did the same thing to Ortho.

Kaw is mostly expressionless until they see a large enough crowd and they suddenly flirts with them.

They can sing and dance, and sometimes sings the last word of a sentence.

Neon J made Kaw more durable, as he had learnt from his encounter with B2J during the Rock Revolution. They won't explode from people screaming, and they also have a sort of mini-Qwasa in their body that they can charge by listening to Funky House and Dance-pop/Europop music, which they can do simply be performing a song in that genre.

They're also charged by cheers like their brothers.

Since they came from a world that revolves around music, their body occasionally moves to an invisible tempo, even when they are standing still.

Started to show signs of sentience during Heartslabyul when Riddle insulted Neon J. They began to insult him back in a way only robots can, and everyone who heard their words were scared of what they said.

In Savanaclaw they started to 'have fun' playing a magicless form of Magishift with the first years and Savanaclaw.

Octavinelle was when they became fully sentient. They suddenly cried when the Savanaclaw students tried to pick a fight with them, as the stress finally catch up with them.

Everyone freaks out because 1) They can cry!? and 2) Oh shit, they're crying.

It also happens that at that moment Neon J managed to connect with Kaw's hologram projector + communicator, sees his metal child crying with an awkward Savanaclaw gang and Grim trying to console them, and began to threat the ever-loving daylights out of the students.

After all is said and done, Kaw explains everything and Neon J starts making plans on how to take out Azul.

Kaw: Dad. You can't do that, that's illegal.

Neon J: I know. But just so you know, your older brothers are not going to- wait. Did you just call me dad!?

Kaw: Wha- I- I mean SIR! *salutes*

Neon J: Oh my gosh... TROOPS! YOUR FELLOW SOLDIER HAS GAINED SENTIENCE! COME TAKE A LOOK!

Let just say that Crowley's on NJ + 1010's hit list when they found out what he made their youngest member do.

The list of people increased when Neon J brought it up to NSR meetings.

B2J found out through 1010 who were hanging out with them.

Crowley is on sight in Vinyl City, beaten only by Kliff.

When VDC rolls in, they join in the training as emotional support.

Kaw managed to find a loophole in Vil's Unique Magic so they sneak in some sweets for the VDC team.

Trein noticed Kaw's disappointment at not being allowed to join in on VDC, being a 10-feet 10-inches tall robot and all. He pulled some strings with Crewel and allow Kaw to join in on the closing ceremony with their brothers.

Let just say that Kaw aced both history and potionology as a thank you gift.

As for Malleus, he was interested in this tall robot. A being made of metal, that sings and dance and powered by music? Very interesting indeed.

Their talk at first is very brief because of Kaw's lack of sentience, but then they started to become more human and eventually Malleus pointed out how they have become much more than what they were born for; a living being.

Kaw calls him Abang (Big brother/older brother).

Rin felt that his status as the eldest brother is being challenged.
