“An emergency contact…” Yuu scratches their head. “Well, there’s one adult who stands out. Someone who has welcomed me with open arms, listened to my needs, and someone I really look up to and trust. Headmage Crowley! Do you have Trein’s cell number?”

Up until now, Crowley had been nodding enthusiastically to your every comment. Feathers fluffed, eyes shut, as he bathed in the unearned praise. You could almost see his ego inflating right before you.

One adult who stands out.

A smile formed.

Someone who has welcomed me with open arms...

It grew, elevating the apples of his cheeks.

He was glowing with pride, the most excited you had ever witnessed him.

... and someone I really look up to and respect.

His face might actually rip in half.

The you had dropped the bomb, and Crowley's entire demeanor collapsed in on itself. His shattered smile landed atop of the heap.

“Wh-What?! Professor Trein…!!” he managed to stutter out. “Did I hear you correctly?!”

"Yeah," you replied calmly. "Professor Trein."

"Wh-What exactly makes him a standout?!" Crowley demanded. When you gave him a queer look, he quickly deflected. "N-Not that I am envious, of course! I am asking as his employer so that I may take student feedback into consideration when calculating end-of-the-year performance-based bonuses."

"He's done so much to look after me and all of his students,” you patiently explained. “Professor Trein chaperoned us to the City of Flowers and taught us about its history. He ensured our safety when there was trouble afoot and even shed a tear for our moral character. I also heard from Ace and Deuce that Professor Trein oversaw NRC when Charon invaded campus.

“He always makes time to speak one-on-one with his students even on matters outside of schoolwork. Professor Trein cares about us like we're his real children and grandchildren. I'd totally trust him as my emergency contact.

“Compared to that… I seem to vaguely remember a certain someone who shirks his responsibilities at every opportunity, wastes his time on walks and snacks instead of running the school, offloads his duties onto children, and ignores my SOS calls when I was being held hostage over winter break.”

“I wonder who it could be that you’re speaking off.”

“Gee, I wonder,” you said sarcastically, staring right at Crowley. “Sucks that we’ll never know. Anyway, do you have Professor Trein's number or not?"

"W-Well!!" Crowley bristled, disarmed by your demand. "It wouldn't be very professional of me to hand out my employees' contact information as though it were Halloween candy! It's strictly confidential, I'm afraid I cannot divulge it."

He folded his arms smugly, waiting for you to change your mind, to beg for his cell phone number instead.

"Aaah, I get it." You shrugged, cool as a cucumber. "That's okay, I can ask Professor Trein directly myself. It was worth a shot to ask you anyway, headmaster. See ya!"

With that, you turned and exited his office. No fanfare, no groveling. Just... nothing.

Crowley completely deflated, cradling his head in his hands. He teased out a whiny groan.

"For them to overlook their most generous headmaster in favor of Professor Trein... Ooooh, where did I go wrong with that child...?"

Oh, so he did hear you correctly… Well, that’s a bit strange. You certainly have interesting taste in men, they suppose. Nothing entirely wrong with that, but they don’t see the appeal.

Goes off on you for your horrible taste in men. Out of all the people at NRC that you could find attractive, it’s their dorm leader?? Doesn’t understand the appeal of them or your taste in men, and they make sure you know how much they disagree with your opinion about the attractiveness of their dorm leaders.

Starts laughing – like, laughing out loud as they hold their sides from the stitches your confession is giving them. How embarrassing for you, huh?  Man, your taste in men is absolutely abysmal if you somehow find their dorm leader of all people appealing. A part of them finds it kind of sad, but that feeling is completely overwritten by the amount of entertainment they get out of the situation.

Found it a bit strange to be telling him that, but he‘s glad you find his brother attractive! He sees you as a dear friend of his, so he wouldn’t mind seeing you and his brother together! If anything, that would make him one of the happiest people on the planet!

Agrees with you wholeheartedly! Their dorm leader is a very handsome young man with a lot of talent and future potential, so they agree – you certainly have great taste! Now, while they might not appreciate the words you chose to describe their dorm leader, they don’t disagree (cough Sebek cough) with your statement.

Survivor of Ramshackle -part 1

This is based off a scenario I mentioned earlier in my blog about Yuu's home being destroyed whilst they were away. There will be multiple parts to this.

A/n: I try to make the MC gender neutral, but I'm sorry if I make an error whilst writing. This Yuu is GN, by the way.

Warnings: mild swearing, Angst, Ace implies keeping you hostage as a joke, but Deuce quickly puts him in his place. The later chapters will get darker.

PART 2

Everyone had gathered into the mirror chamber to bid Yuu farewell. The boys had really taken a liking to them. Even if they would put them through a lot of trouble at times. Likewise, they loved the boys, too. As each of the boys take thier turns to say goodbye, they admit some tears were shed. Crowley had found a way home for Yuu right after Grim's overblot, but he informed them that once they went back, they would not be able to return unless extra steps were made. Which of course won't happen. And they accepted the offer. After all, they still had a life and a family back home who were wondering where they were.

"It's not fair! I don't want them to go!" Complained a certain fire-eared monster.

"Grim, we cannot just keep 'em hostage here... but that would be a good backup pla- OW!!"

"WE ARE NOT DOING THAT!"

"Did you really have to hit me that hard Deuce? That hurt man."

"Ace, we must respect thier decisions."

"Yeah, I know I know."

It was now Jack's turn to join the conversation. "Plans have been made for you Grim. So you don't have to worry about needing Yuu for school."

"The Great Grim still needs his henchman to do his bidding and clean Ramshackle."

"Just admit it weasel, you're going to miss them too."

"Fgnaahhh!!"

"You're not helping Ace." Epel turns to Grim. "We understand Grim. Yuu has become a great friend to all of us. But it's time to say goodbye."

"Hnnngghh"

"Yuu! Don't go! Who will feed me tuna? Who will scratch my ears? Who will wrap me up in thier jacket during the winter break? I'm ordering you to stay minion!" Grim cried. Yuu kneeled down to comfort him. "Grim, listen to me. I am going back, yes, but I will not forget you. You mean so much to me Grim. But I still have others at the other side of that portal who are waiting for me. I need to meet up with them." You brush a stray tear from his face. "Do me a favor Grim. Stay here, attend your classes and study well. So that when I return to you someday, you will be the Greatest Mage ever like you wanted and we can go on more adventures together. Does that sound alright?" Grim sniffed and nodded. "Please come back some day." "I can't promise it, but I'll try."

"Oi! Herbivore. Just get going already. I want to leave now."Some things never change." They sighed as Leona sulked. Leona wasn't the only one who was feeling annoyed more than sad at this time. They admit that some of these boys were assholes. Some of them have even yet to apologize after all they've put them through. But they won't let that get in the way of the good memories they had in this world. Or at least they hope.

Yuu had just said goodbye to the last person when the headmaster came in.

"Prefect! The dark mirror is now ready! You must come immediately if you are to return home!" He hollered.

"Well, here I go."

Yuu stands up to the portal with tears in their eyes. Their heart hammering. This was it. They were finally going home. They can't wait to see their family again. It's been so long. What has changed since they left? Is everyone doing alright? They needed to know. The mirror pulsates with magical energy. Sparking up at some parts. Yuu turned back to look at the other students one last time. Then, with bated breath, they stepped through the portal.

"So that's it."

Besides this one remark. The mirror chamber was filled with silence. No one dared say anything. Everyone filed out of the room and went back to thier dorms.

Two idiots were helping Grim settle into Hearstlabyul. And got collared after breaking three Queen of Hearts rules whilst doing so. Trey baked cookies for them so they didn't complain as much after. After they made it to thier room the three students began to chat and banter with each other. Nothing had really changed for them. Same for the other dorms. Vil did his makeup. Idia did his tech. Leona slept. Azul ran the lounge. Overall, nothing had really changed.

"Kalim. You need to do this assignment."

"Oh, sorry Jamil. I'll be right there."

The vice pressed his dormleader to do what needed completion but something was distracting him.

"Do you think Yuu made it back safe?"

"..." Jamil had a suspicion that that was what was on his mind but he was not prepared to answer that question. "I'm sure they're happy Kalim. Now please get this done. Crewel will not show mercy if you fail."

"I know it's just... I have questions: What do they do? What do they have to eat at thier welcome home feasts?-" "I doubt that they have feasts Kalim." Kalim ignored what he said and kept going. "What are thier family like? I mean they are from another world so thier family structure could be different to ours. Hnnnghhh! Why am I only asking these questions now that they are gone?!"

"KALIM!!"

The housewarden went quiet immediately.

"They are fine okay. Yuu would not want you to spend all your time worrying about them. So just relax. They are fine."

Kalim thought about what Jamil just said.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. You're always right Jamil." The boy beamed whilst the vice rolled his eyes.

 he didn't really know how to interact with a person like you … not that he hadn't tried. but as in the beginning yuu didn't let anyone get close , it was complicated, and the fact that yuu didn't speak the common language of twisted wonderland wasn't helping . you surprisingly formed a friendship over the dorm's hedgehogs.  every time you were close to the dorm the little imps would escape from their cage and come to yuu so that they would give them the affection they deserved.                                                                                                            And after watching yuu and the hedgehogs he started to slowly teach them the  language so they could communicate

He found the fact that the mirror had summoned a deer without magic and a flaming cat hilarious… during the mission to avoid being expelled he suggested riding on yuu because “we'll get there faster if we go  riding” despite not understanding what he was saying , his body language said everything yuu needed to know about the redhead 's intentions , and that 's why he was one of the first to get kicked ,                                                                                      After that fiasco and you helping him with Riddle's overblot  situation, nrc students can now  often find the redhead sleeping on yuu's relaxed body or running away from them  as he tried to “ ride”  them  yet again.

he didn't know how to interact with you because he thought that the fact that yuu didn't talk was because yuo were shy, he had the biggest surprise of his life when he saw ace trying to mount yuu and without hesitating jumped back and crushed  ace with their weight , now yuu has his respect  , however , he gets  worried about how many savanaclaw students are around , when they all or some are carnivorous and yuu is a whole ass deer , their friendship is based on respect and affection , some nrc students can find this pair doing races in the various spaces of nrc .

Cater-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the fact that yuu can not communicate did not affect any kind of dialogue with carter , as he spoke for both , carter appreciates your friendship with all his being because in his life there was never anyone who really listened to what he had to say , while he speaks yuu is  attentive even though they  don't always understand, carter knows that yuu is always listening because even though they cant  speak  in his language they makes sounds that encourage him to say more or even react to some words they understand.                                                       These two  gossip all the time and yuu knows all the secrets of the whole school, how convenient that they can't communicate , the two have a full gallery of photos as yuu and Carter make an adorable duo that Carter's followers can't stop watching.

Trey

The person yuu befriended the fastest, for two reasons:  1- food  2- trey is mostly calm and doesn't yell or speak loudly all the time…                                This two like to spend time in the nrc  greenhouse or in the woods by the dorm, yuu has a  superior sense of smell that can help find better quality fruit and tea herbs for Trey to use.                                                                                          He doesn't quite know how to react when he finds the honey pot in the dorm's kitchen suspiciously empty when yuu visits, until he manages to catch them  devouring the latest pot. Trey  thinks it's funny when he  tries  to ask yuu why and they  pretend they  don't know what he is  trying to ask . trey likes to pet yuu's deer body parts because their fur is soft and comforting

Do you think Crowley has a dominion type of UM?

With the last post of it from @prince-kallisto it really got me thinking about it.

If he is maintaining wonderland, and probably encapsulating it or maintaining the bubble it is in. Then is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need those variables (seeing as your theory is that he is the Twst mad hatter, just raven flavored. Mickey the dorm mouse, Silver was the mad hare if I remember correctly)

Then did he just open up a part of wonderland through the mirror and send the black carriage to bring Yuu. Accidentally killed them, and they just reanimated them but without their soul, and that’s why the mirror says that Yuu is empty….

Does that mean Yuu could die if they go back? Because Crowley is keeping them “alive” by their own magic, because he said “Nah, they ain’t dead here” and because magic is shaped by imagination and it’s Crowley twisted wonderland or he is maintaining it….

And when Yuu’s purpose in this play is over they just die or something worse.

Am I just going too much on the edges about this or?

Hello! Sorry for a long reply. Since you seems like having so much questions in one ask, let's break it down:

Though that post does mention about Crowley maintaining Twisted Wonderland, I still have a different opinion about it. If it's me (who usually based my analysis on Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass), that Realm Dominance magic isn't his magic but rather, the real Maleficent's blessing from the real Maleficent herself which her image was reflected in the mirror when the very first time we played the game. So when he said "flower of evil", it's to summon Maleficent herself because she is "Mistress of All Evil". He was simply "borrowing" her magic and used it on Yuu.

But how can he "borrow" it? This is where his real UM comes to play. Since he is a Hatter from Through The Looking Glass, his UM is called "Perspective" which is actually based on Mad Hatter from live action Disney game.

This "Perspective" with mirror as its medium can do two things:

1. Visualize pictures/images into reality (he did it to make the magic coming from Maleficent's reflection in the dark mirror into reality)

2. Wrap Yuu through the Dark Mirror onto the other side of Yuu's world

About the second one, what he warped wasn't Yuu's body but rather, their soul. But how it can be like that and how "exactly" did he do it? This will have something to do with Dormouse (the sleeping mouse) riddle and the rabbit hole riddle from Alice in Wonderland (which I'll going to explain another time)

"Is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need help?"

For this it will entirely depend on Yana how she will create the story. But based on my analysis there are 3 possibilities:

1. Crowley would still need the variables, with someone representing as "time" to break the loop (in this case it's Yuu themselves because in Mad Tea Party, Mad Hatter can finally measure mathematicaly when Alice comes using her age which is 7). This is if she follows the Alice in Wonderland one

2. Crowley doesn't need help, but he will not do anything either. Because eventually they will go back to their own world once they defeat Grim. This one is based on Through The Looking Glass where Alice defeated Red Queen to go back to her own world, which later this Red Queen turns out to be her own black cat named Kitty. Personally this second possibility is what I think twst is close to, with Grim has the role of both Red Queen and Red King. Though this does raise another question what is Crowley's intention for doing this (which admittedly I still don't know up to this point)

3. Ace and Deuce will help Yuu to "break that world triggered by Crowley's magic"

This is due to the fact that both Ace and Deuce are trump cards from their respective decks of French deck and German deck which technically can overthrow the structure that maintains wonderland.

"Did Crowley accidentally killed Yuu and reanimated them but without their soul?"

Based on my own analysis, Crowley didn't kill Yuu but more like it's really their time to go and he is more like just doing his task as the personification of time. (this again refers to the Mad Hatter from mythological perspective). The hint is there in his bio about his favorite food, but I will explain that some other time.

The reason why Dark Mirror can't identify Yuu's soul is because it's already their soul that's coming to Twisted Wonderland. Because their real body is in their own world.

So when Yuu's role in Twisted Wonderland is over, they will go back to their own world and wake up from their dream, much like how Alice is going back to her own world in both Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.

Though at times she lingers close to the light music club room. Probably to check up on Lilia or Cater. No other reason, right?

Tattoo Tango lets the wielder insert voices in the target's conscience. If the wielder is close with the target or is highly informed of the target's critical weakness, the wielder could accompany images with the voices. Sensory images, like the ripple of the ocean or the heat of the scalding sands, will be created.

An unfortunate side effect though is the user experiencing the same thing as their target. Their pain, their despair. And Mayuu uses this to her advantage, to make sure the overblot would happen where no outside party would be affected.

Another physical side effect on the wielder is that whatever image they created shall be imprinted on their chest, maui style.

But one must be careful when wielding such powerful magic. For if the image is too concrete, the wielder's soul may enter the illusion, leaving their body unconscious.

Riddle Rosehearts

-Raised solely by his mother, he was afforded the best education a head surgeon could buy. Unfortunately, his squeamishness was not going to land the Rosehearts name another doctor. 

-Despite his size, since an early age, he had found himself adept at commanding a room. An uncle suggested he become a public speaker, and something in him clicked. Since then he as found a drive to run for public office, knowing just how to package hard to swallow pills for the betterment of the city. Most proposals he offered were fair, if a bit roundabout. Some were more draconian, making even less sense to anyone but him. 

-His presence as council member was a divisive one. Some claim him a Child Prodigy with eccentric but refreshing ways to run the city. Others hiss that he’s mad as a hatter, a powerhungry brat. But with his methods showing results, the only thing Mayor Crowley seemed concerned about, so it gets treated like a non-issue. 

-His oratory skills are not the only thing he has a dedicated skill in. Much like his mother, his magical ability has made and continues to make him a force to be reckoned with. His seat has been contested once or twice, but the moment his spell conjures a signature collar with a brassy CLANG, it’s all over. 

Ace Trappola/Deuce Spade

-Longtime school friends, now private recruits to Nightraven’s Training Base. Said base does not exclusively train military personel, but officers of the police force. Combat training is shared between stations, though more ‘sit down’ training is divided. Regardless if one passes, fails or drops out of their respective programs, the discipline sticks with you.

-Ace, the mouthier spunkier of the two, is one of the fastest in the base. It doesn’t help him when in formation, though. 

-Deuce, being a much more amicable man, has climbed the rank just above Ace through test scores and keeping his head down. What once was just a private recruit, Deuce stands as a Standard Private. And BOY does he love rubbing it in Ace’s face. (EDIT: TAGGING @squidwen for the conception of this idea)

-There's a tattoo on him from his younger days, a card with an ace of spades. His attendance at the Base is his attempt at rectifying his past mistakes.

-while both joined at the same time, their paths could not have been more different. Ace had joined to more or less get a free ticket around the world. Deuce wanted to live up to his late father’s name. Not killed in the line of duty, or taken out as revenge, but leaving behind a community that trusted in its protective forces. 

Cater Diamond

-Staff Sergeant overseeing Ace and Deuce’s squad. 

-A rather chill guy, he is tasked with making sure everybody arrives where they need to be on time. 

-Don’t be surprised if under him you receive a nickname. For two in particular, Deuce is ‘Private Dee’, and Ace…Private Dum.

-Rumor on base is that the man has eyes on the back of his head, or that he can teleport. It’s just his signature spell allowing him to split and keep an eye on his squad…and sometimes take care of paperwork he doesn’t feel like doing. 

-He has elected to be his company’s photographer. His skill under the shroud is impressive, and if the device were more mobile, who knows what kind of images he could create?

-The man lives off base. And while it is a trip, every night he gets to come home to his roommate, one of the best bakers in town:

Trey Clover

-He mans the bakery inherited once his folks retired the whisk.

-Both he and Cater live in the flat overtop the store. 

-It makes it easier to have food ready with a much larger kitchen below. 

-The bakery is a passion of his, even if it had been inherited. But it’s not his only passion. Call him cynical, call him opportunistic, but dentistry has been an avenue he thought worth seeking. 

-Though, with as busy as he is just running the store, it’s difficult to find time to even attend university to study. 

-it is a tad ironic, working a confectionery while being in a relationship with a man who’s childhood had put him off sweets entirely. But it’s greatly helped by his own magic, being able to treat him without having to go through ingredients in experimentation trying to find a savory alternative.

Compilation of Ch 7 Thoughts and Ideas

I’ve been meaning to put this together for the longest time and now that Ch 7 is on the horizon I feel like I gotta get this out.

First off, I know that a lot of people assume that Silver will have a really big role mostly based off the fact that is like an amalgamation of Aurora, Prince Phillip, and maybe the Sword of Truth, and while I don’t doubt that, a lot of people either don’t realize or fail to mention that the first-years in previous chapters play a pivotal role in their dorm’s respective chapters not only as foils, but as conduits for character development and story progression.

Ace and Riddle were pretty much foils from the start, each being on one end of the spectrum in terms of their view on rules. Riddle upholds rules for their own sake, no matter how inane or useless it is. Ace has a more moderate take on rules but once Riddle collars him and tries (and fails) to make it up to Riddle, his attitude drives him to disrespect Heartslabyul’s rules almost entirely. Their clash is ENTIRELY the reason why chapter 1 exists. The same can be said for Deuce though on a lesser scale.

Jack and Leona can also be seen as foils in terms of personality. Jack is incredibly rigid with his moral compass. He has a strong sense of what is fair, not to mention that his rigidness goes hand-in-hand with his own work out regimen. Despite being a freshmen, it’s made clear from others in Savanaclaw that Jack is incredibly athletic and applies himself fully when it comes to any physical activity. Leona on the other hand couldn’t be bothered to apply himself in anything to the point of flunking a grade. He is also not above playing dirty to get what he wants, something Jack has acknowledged is not his style. Leona is also the type to rely on his intelligence and strategic prowess to gain the upper hand in a given situation compared to Jack who would much rather face it head-on. Jack’s conflict with being complicit in Leona’s scheme in chapter 2 is what drives him to confront Leona with the help of Yuu and gang, and address his discrepancy of holding Leona in such high regard only to see how much of an underhanded dog he can be.

Epel and Vil’s situation is more like Riddle and Ace’s where their relationship is pretty much the reason why story progresses. Epel also gets to indulge in some character development because of what Vil put him through. Vil’s obsession with Neige is precisely the reason why Epel is heavily involved in the story: because he is the weapon that Vil will use against him, and seeing Epel practice his singing for the competition he had no choice but to participate in is how Yuu and the gang get involved, thus starting chapter 5

I have no doubt that Sebek with play a pivotal role in chapter 7. How that it will manifest? I have some ideas.

1. This one heavily ties with Silver. Assuming that Silver will be the one to break Malleus’s spell or at least be able to hold his own against whatever Malleus casts in his Overblot, Sebek will have this epiphany here. I don’t see Sebek as a foil to Malleus, nor as a conduit for story progression. I see him as having a huge character arc mainly because he so ripe for it. His attitude towards humans and anyone who isn’t Malleus comically stands out even amongst the cast of villain-based characters, especially when it comes to Silver. It’s clear from his parents’s story that fae and human relations are rocky at best. Lilia is a veteran to a war we can only assume involved humans and fae which has led him to become a pacifist in his sunset years.

 Malleus, while not maliciously so, has shown to have commit what could be considered microaggressions against humans, namely infantilizing the human students who are younger than him even though he is arguably the most sheltered and naive person amongst them.

There’s no doubt that Silver sticks out like a sore thumb among them, which is why I believe he will be the one to break Sebek out of his bigotry. Him standing his ground as (possibly) the break out hero of chapter 7 will cause Sebek not only to reevaluate his rivalry with Silver but also his thoughts about humans in general. By then he will be aware of Yuu’s prowess against the overblots (Jamil remarks in chapter 4 that there isn’t anyone in NRC who doesn’t know the prefect for braving the OBs and even if he was buttering up the prefect, it still must be true for him to even know about it) and to see this magicless person and his human rival since childhood both end Malleus’s OB/episode will get him to reconsider and maybe even apologize to Silver for all the abuse he put him through and well as thank him for saving his master.

2. The next idea has him as the story conduit this time. Here, he progressively gets more and more possessive over Malleus after word gets out that the prefect and Malleus are friends following the events of chapter 5 after he and the prefect greet each other in front of the VDC crew. From what I’ve seen (I’ve been trying to avoid chapter 6 spoilers with little avail) Diasomnia is aware of what has transpired with Idia, so we can infer that the dorm is not as isolated as it seems and they are just as involved in NRC as any other dorm, and thus the idea of them being aware of Malleus and Yuu’s relationship by now is probable.

Coupled with what happened in chapter 6 and we could see Sebek starting to legitimately interfere with Malleus’s life even more, urging him to focus on school or his duties as prince instead of hanging out with the prefect or trying to get invited to events (after all, he isn’t convinced that the prefect is as well-meaning as they seem if they’ve managed to survive 6 OBs so far). Malleus already being isolated and struggling to find people who he can genuinely connect with who aren’t afraid of him is now beyond angry that Sebek won’t let him out of him sight, thus lead to his eventual OB.

3. This last idea for Sebek’s role I feel could be it’s own thing or possibly merge with the first one. This idea comes from the fandom’s consensus that Malleus will most likely spring some sort sleeping spell in order to preserve Lilia, the prefect, or all of NRC’s lives like a time capsule. Here he simply becomes an accessory to Malleus’s scheme, perhaps willingly at first, but then realize that his master is doing something incredibly wrong and either sit out the battle or reluctantly join Silver, Yuu and the gang in stopping Malleus.

Many people are jumping to the conclusion that Lilia’s comments in Ch 6 about the star mean he is going to die. I think it’s a valid conclusion to draw, but we must also entertain other possibilities. One theory I have stems from comments he made to Sebek and Silver, where he wishes that they can assure him they’ll be fine on their own. Assuming his wish on the star is connected to Silver, it could be his last wish on that star not because he's at death's door (he’s old but he’s still lots of spring in his step), but because it’ll be the last time before Silver becomes of age.

Why does that matter? Well if we assume that Silver is based off of Aurora, then their backstories must overlap somehow. I covered this in my post on Silver, but basically there is a chance that Lilia is keeping Silver’s true identity from him (the way the good fairies did with Aurora) and only when he reaches a certain age will the truth be revealed and Silver returned to whence he came. So, Lilia’s remark could allude that his final wish is for Silver to be happy and healthy (after all, when you’ve lived a life as full as Lilia’s, what else could you possibly wish for) before that fateful day comes and they have to say goodbye.

That’s the way I interpreted his wish since I know he won’t die (Disney wouldn’t kill off a profitable character in a profitable game, I'll bet on it). This is just how I rationalized that remark about wishing on the star. I also think Malleus will misinterpret that remark as well. or perhaps take it too literal, and thus lead him to cast the sleeping spell so that he doesn’t have to suffer any losses.

There’s lots more to mention like how the Shroud brothers will help Yuu, but there’s still lots of Ch 6 I don’t know about, so I can’t really predict much other than Idia finally meeting his online buddy irl. Otherwise I’m gonna cut it off here, maybe continue my ramblings on another post where we focus on Malleus and what might happen to him in Ch 7

Ya'll I have a theory about Chapter 7.

What if Malleus and Grim are accomplices in making the school fall asleep sleeping beauty style.

We know Malleus is already unstable at this point, emotionally, that is. He doesn't have the experience in life to realize that death and change is inevitable, being locked up in a cage because everyone around him was so protective of his purely based on his lineage. So, Malleus doesn't have the experience to realize change is inevitable, and there's nothing you can really do to stop it.

But what if Grim is the one that pushes Malleus over the edge (as in he makes a remark about the topic or flat out even agrees with Malleus) or even helps him upon finding out what Malleus' plan?

Hear me out.

Grim also deeply cares for his friends at NRC (see literally any scene where he interacts with Yuu, and any scene where Yuu and Grim come back from danger and Deuce and Ace rush to their side.) But based on his more feral side, Grim is extremely possessive. He wants everything to himself and clearly won't share-He attacked Yuu purely because he wanted a Overblot rock and only LATER felt regret for it upon realizing he attacked someone dear to him. He also is known to be extremely greedy with tuna.

So, based on his greedy nature and how Grim also lacks experience in life with change. . . I think Grim could fall for Malleus' twisted view, and might even help depending on the situation.

Where's my proof?

The scene clears shows Grim sneaking around with both Silver and Sebek guarding the place. They don't seem too happy about it, at this point in the story their loyalties are to Malleus, and they seem to follow him without question. Grim evades the two guards and gets to Malleus, who (based on the lightening) is clear in power here before the scene cuts before we can see anything else.

Malleus and Grim also seem to be a really good terms during the side events. They tease each other and playfully mess around-unlike other interactions we've seen with Malleus. While in the story we can't tell much, seeing as they've only interacted one time, and even based off that-Malleus is quite respectful to Grim despite Grim's selfish nature.

And yeah. That's what I got. Though I do admit this has some huge flaws in there-I just wanted to share my theory, even if it has no weight.

My friend (who I'll call Kay) who plays TWST actually told me something very interesting but also pretty messed up. I might get some stuff wrong but hear me out.

You know how Trey pretty much never called out Riddle whenever he did something wrong because he believed that Riddle's the way he is because of his parents? Which is true but most (if not all) of Riddle's controlling behavior is Riddle's own choice.

Well, Kay said that had MC and ADeuce not stepped in, not only would this had continued (and most likely gotten worse) and Riddle got a job, married and became a father, he would be a carbon copy of his mother: mistreating his spouse and child, all the while being hailed as a respected mage in his homeland. And Trey would still not step in because he still believes that Riddle's the way he is because he's too busy feeling bad for Riddle and himself for not helping Riddle.

Of course, this is just my friend's theory and I highly doubt Trey would let something like that slide.

I mean, that’s assuming Riddle doesn’t Overblot from rage and die from it before graduation, right 🥲 He was already in that downwards spiral before Yuu, Ace, Deuce, and Grim called him out for his tyranny…

The “what if” scenario being proposed here reminds me of this theory that someone else posed; basically, it suggests that maybe Mama Rosehearts also had a similar childhood as Riddle, so her treatment of him is her perpetuating what was imposed onto her in her girlhood and feeding into generational trauma and a cycle of abuse. Of course, this theory is mainly speculation rather than based on concrete evidence (since we don’t actually know a ton about Mama Rosehearts), but it’s still an interesting concept to consider 🤔

One point I’d like to clarify is that it isn’t outright stated that Mama Rosehearts mistreats her spouse (although it could definitely be inferred) or in what she ways she mistreats him. Riddle says in one of his Groom-for-a-day voice lines that he wishes the Queen of Hearts would impart the secret to a happy marriage with his own parents, implying that his mother and father have a rocky relationship. Many popular fan interpretations for Papa Rosehearts is that he is meek and cannot stand up for himself (similar to the King of Hearts), but to be honest, Papa Rosehearts could be just as toxic as his wife is; we don’t know for certain.

In any case, that would have been a sad and dark path for Riddle to go down 😔 Having the public image of a respectable and talented mage with a perfect family while that same family is falling apart at the seams behind the scenes… yikes. The more optimistic part of me’s like, “No way would Trey stand for that!! He’d hit a breaking point eventually and do/say something to Riddle!!” … But the less optimistic part of me’s going, “That’s a tough situation to be in. I don’t know what I’d do if I were Trey.”

When I really think about it 😔 I think Trey would not find the courage to intervene (at least not on his own). This isn’t to say that he’s a bad person, but I’m just thinking realistically. It’s difficult for someone—anyone—to stick their nose into another family’s “business”, especially while dealing with the intense remorse that Trey probably is. And the more Trey puts off telling Riddle (which, let’s be fair here, he already has been doing), the easier it will become for him to keep perpetuating those excuses, the more guilt will rack up from him not acting or saying anything before. It’ll get worse and worse, probably to the point where it starts to wear at Trey’s own mental health and wellbeing 🥲 He needs a hard push from an outside force maybe Chenya to really spring into action, because Trey is also in need of a good telling-off 💦

As always, you have the best character and story analysis. I agree about every word you said about Jack. I remember the first time I found out about twst, I read only Heartslabyul's story and I thought "What a childish story" and then months later when I read Savannaclaw for the first time my opinion remained the same. It was only in Octavinelle when I started to have more respect for the story telling. And Scarabia of course was the peak to me. Because it felt so realistic in the sense that now we know there is an issue with Kalim and Jamil's relationship and we know what the issue is but it just can't be solved that easily. They're both still searching for healthy ways to cope with an incredibly unfair situation. To express something so complicated. That's good writing. Which takes me back to how weak Savannaclaw and Heartslabyul's stories are in comparison. I even went as far as think that they were weak by design to make it seem like NRC itself is luring Yuu in....first by getting them involved in seemingly shallow issues and then the issues get deeper as Yuu begins to be more involved. You're right that Jack's character feels like wasted potential when it comes to Savannaclaw. Honestly, not just him. Almost every heartslabyul character had their potential wasted in Heartslabyul's story. Trey's incredible capacity for evil hidden behind the kind senpai facade. Cater's desire and ability to make someone do his work for him and his complicated feelings of loneliness beyond the cheerful facade. Deuce got a full on redemption arc in Book 5 when he finally hit puberty (Discovered His Unique Magic) and Ace got his own moment in the Phantom Bride event. If Heartslabyul's story didn't highlight it enough. Phantom Bride showed exactly how highly Ace thinks of himself and how he dares to do a lot of things others won't because it's okay for the main character to reprimand the villain and act all high and mighty with them (like he did with both Riddle and Eliza). I don't know yet what happens in Vargas Camp, but Ruggie was, as you've already pointed out, the Savannaclaw star of the show so I think we already got enough Ruggie to understand his character. I wish we'd also got a proper explanation why Jack's strong sense of justice was deactivated in Savannaclaw's story. He already said he idolized Leona. But maybe there was more to that than simple idolization. Also, maybe there's a trick to Jack's character that deactivates his sense of justice. Like, I have a strong sense of justice unless....

Last, i want to point out that even though he's one of the most popular characters and despite getting one of the best Overblot designs, Leona is one of the characters that weren't really done justice in the story. Savannaclaw's story was overall weak (Exactly like Lion King's story, not much creativity involved) and his supposed redemption arc in Fairy Gala wasn't that satisfying. The only thing I found out about Leona is that he's much more of an attention whore than he comes off as. But I wish we would go deeper into Leona's feelings of inferiority. Leona has a very good base for a very interesting and complicated character. He feels inferior, yet he loves to act superior. He always trash talks his nephew but in a "blink and you'll miss it" moment, he showed concerns for his safety. He made it look like he only helped Yuu in Octavinelle's story because he was scared of them making noise outside his bedroom and because he had issues with Azul of course. But this is Leona, he could scare Yuu and Grim off amd not have them make noise if he wanted to. Azul may have held something against him, but Azul was a brilliant strategist, he wouldn't risk Leona's wrath. Leona helped Yuu because he wanted to help Yuu. Finishing his troubles with Azul was only a bonus. Or that's how I saw it. Anyways, I think Leona is a very fascinating character who's yet to get his moment to shine. I started out TWST all over Vil, but now that Book 5 is over. I think Leona grew on me more. And I wonder if what Azul held over him was the potion Ruggie drank at the Magift Tournament or was it something else. It actually felt that Leona's contract held a shameful secret that he wouldn't want revealed. But it could be me reading too much into it. After all he could have just been concerned about word getting out, he hurt some of his colleaugues and intended to hurt others as well. He's a prince after all. One thing I've been interested in as well, was relationship dynamics in Sunset Savannah and how women are more dominant and physically stronger. Imagine this but Leona is maybe concerned about being a useless prince consort to a woman he doesn't care for. Adding more to his tragedy of never being king, yet not free from royal obligations.

Sorry for the long rant. It's just there's not many people in the twst fandom I feel like I can share my thoughts with easily. But I love your thought process and I like sharing my thoughts with you and your followers.

The whole time I was reading this i though I'd posted the entirety of my take on Savanaclaw and how to fix it...

Like, near word for word, bar for bar from how I felt about Jack and Leona, using Scarabia, Heartslabyul, and the other dorm characters compared to the Savanaclaw trio. Especially the useless conort who gets washed away by the sands of time, barely remembered. Because second heirs are never free from Royal obligations, hell, they even have to overpreform in place of their sibling so Leona was right to say "you shouldn't give this rug to me, give it to a neighboring kingdom as a symbol of friendship" bc second heirs end up prone to more public scrutiny.

And you're right! Ruggie does get more characterization than Leona and Jack do, Leona is someone you have to read in between to get him which makes sense because he's spent the past 20 years of his life playing second fiddle and spare heir to his brother and he can't even be a spare heir because he has a nephew (who loves him very much)

Heartslabyul is a solid chapter especially when you have the Prologue leading into it makes it better. But I do think it focused on the first years rather than Riddle, Trey, and Cater, two of which have more characterization in Savanaclaw (later chapters too) and one of which you have to read personal stories and events to understand..

The thing is, Savanaclaw is based off of one of the most iconic movies ever, with a broadway show grossing 9 billion and making 1.6 mil a week, a. Week. Not to mention the Lion King topped Jurassic Park in 1994 and was the highest grossing film of that time, people think of iconic Disney movies and you best believe Lion King is up there no doubt.

Which is why I'm still trying to figure out how that bag was fumbled. There are so many directions you could've went with Leona in terms of being a "what if" Scar, especially if they played up the love Cheka has for his Uncle, how bout Cheka visiting the Dorm because he's one of the vip guests who are vetting out Magift players (bc Leona does say that Magift is the biggest sport in Twst and that winning means career options, scholarships, internships)

Bc in one of his Vignettes/ Personal Story the students do come to him when they need a problem solves bc he's well liked, why not use that as a way for him to infiltrate dorms? Especially if he's trying to pin the blame on Diasomnia. I'm sure they have friends, albeit a small group of them, and I'm sure there are Beastmen/Human/Mermen in Diasomnia.

Not to mention, bc he oversees Magift Practice, he should've definitely got into the "why" of his players getting harmed considering this could throw the Investigation squad off his tail.

Leona is literally stated to play chess by himself and is a top student at NRC, who, despite wanting to not be bothered with anything, is charismatic and pragmatic enough to have students rely on him (kinda like Trey) and you're gonna tell me he couldn't've pulled the wool over the Investigation Squad at least 10x over? At least?

This is SCAR we're talking about. Ursula swindled one girl, The Queen of Hearts got bullied by one girl and chased her back awake, Jafar is the only one I can see competing with Scar because he snatched up a genie, manipulated the Sultan had Jasmine and Aladdin on their knees so yeah... The Evil Queen is barely memorable (to me) it's the poison apple and Snow Whute that beat her out her own movie. Maleficent goes crazy, so a pass.

Jack, what Yana did to Jack is one thing I cannot forgive. Because he's the one character that's not apart of the Disney ensemble making him a whole clean slate, an Original Character, an OC if you will. White Fang starts off with sled dogs getting picked off, one by one, and a man fearing for his life because it's the Wild that runs the show, he's just living in it.

The thing about White Fang is that he was abused by his previous owner and through patience and compassion he became domesticated, protecting the protagonist's father when a criminal ran up, vowing to protect the protagonist's bloodline with his life. Idk how you get justice out of that entire book, but Jack protecting the weak does fall in line with White Fang's character arc.

Jack's justice and subsequent boldness that I mentioned in another post being turned off in the face of Leona's might and Overblot could've made sense, here's why:

Jack admires Leona, he grew up watching his Tournaments (implying Leona's been doing Magift on the side for a couple years, NRC just scooped him up) being assigned the same dorm as his idol was probably the greatest moment of his life (Vil and Leona are two sides of the same coin actually) so I can get behind him believing he knows his Dorm Leader as much as he does, enough to reprimand him in an effort to show him the right path.

Thing is, Jack doesn't know Leona like he thinks he does, and Farena doesn't know Leona as much as he thinks he does (I'd even argue that he was separated from Leona because of how dangerous his UM was, doesn't help that they're born a decade apart)

So they both come off tone deaf even when they're trying to be well meaning, Jack more so since he's a first year who beefed with his dorm because they were doing something that didn't align with his values.

I wanna reiterate that Jack is a bold person when he believes he's in the right.

Liek he walks right up to the tweels, demands they show him the contents of their suitcase and doesn't even wait for them to do that (they weren't, they were going to fight him) and still snatches the suitcase out of their hands. Leona and Jack's entire dynamic was formed through him beefing with his seniors, Jack fought Deuce because he though Yuu was a coward.

But I can get behind Jack not wanting to truly fight his Dorm Leader because 1: he admires him. 2: he knows the power Leona holds.

Idk if yall know but Leona's UM, King's Roar can turn anything into sand, people, objects, and PLACES fucking PLACES INTO SAND ARE U FUCKING KIDDING ME??????

And it isn't like he needed to learn how use this ability like Riddle (who holds the record for developing a UM at 10) or Azul (whose UM is literally a forbidden art that needed to be honed) no. No. This man was just born with it. BORN WITH IT. Evicted straight out the womb with violence on the brain.

Jack wouldn't touch Leona with a ten foot pole bc the pole would be a clump of sand by then. Because before he's bold, before Justice, there's still the basic instinct to live after watching someone you believe is your vice dorm leader get strangled and the skin of his neck turn to sand to a point where you have to fight Leona off.

So I can get behind being afraid, since I'd like to reiterate that Jack was alone when he spoke up against Leona and Ruggie, you really think he could take them?

Absolutely not.

Okay, so hear me out: What if the characters of the greatest procedurals ended up in Twisted Wonderland?

One stormy night, The BAU, Monk, Natalie, Sharona, Randy, Stottlemeyer, and the Jeffersonian and Psych all ended up at NRC?

After the initial panic, The entrance ceremony is put on hold as the body of a reporter is found ritualistically killed surrounded by the bones of a long-dead alumni.

The groups, along with Yuu and Grim take the case and after solving it in a single night, they’re given Ramshackle which is fixed quicker than in canon, and they and the TWST Boys solve various crimes around Sage’s Isle and Twisted Wonderland.

Riddle would HATE Monk and Psych because Shawn, Gus, and Monk each tickle a particular irritation. Shawn and Gus are just Adeuce without magic and somehow both smarter AND dumber. While Monk just tries to make Heartslabyul even and neat.

Derrick Morgan and Leona would frequently butt heads, but at the end of the day, have some begrudging respect.

Azul is euphoric from the groups using his Mostro Lounge as a meeting spot and getting info on the various goings on

Kalim LOVES solving the various mysteries, and Jamil constantly panics from trying to keep Kalim safe

Vil’s studio and agent constantly call him and ask him to star in a procedural based on his new adventures in being a detective, and Neige admits he’s kind of jealous that Vil is such a good detective, especially when someone else tries to kill Neige during the VDC

Idia is a nervous wreck, and Penelope’s comments DO NOT help his social skills. It’s funny to make him stutter and go pink though!

Malleus is intrigued by the whole thing and is one of the groups most staunch supporters.

Ace, Deuce, Jack, Sebek, Silver, Epel, and Grim all get extra credit since the First and Second years are the ones who help the detectives the most and start to mature a LOT throughout the events and year.

While some of the antics the detectives get up to can annoy the teachers, at least their presence means Crowley has to actually do SOMETHING instead of just flitting about.

Hewwo I enjoy your writing! Keep up the amazing work! I really liked the House Of Mouse where Yuu meets the Great Seven. I was wondering what would happen if the Great Seven randomly visits NRC and requested Yuu as their tour guide or something and like all the students and staff are shocked to see them in the flesh but also seeing Yuu with them or something along the lines.

It’s just been on my mind seeing everyone’s reaction of Yuu being friends with Jafar, Queen Of Hearts, Evil queen, Ursula, Hades, Scar and Maleficent.

Ace: Oh my god... *Sinks down into the ground*

Deuce: Ah! H-Hello Queen of Hearts! *Bows*

Yuu: ....But I have cla-

Queen of Hearts: TOUR! NOW! And Spade, turn your toes correctly when speaking to royalty!

Deuce: Y-Yes!

The whole class is dumbfounded as THE Queen of Hearts drags Yuu for a tour of the school. Everyone who passes by stares in shock as Yuu casually gives the Queen of Hearts a tour of the school.

And when they do visit? Yuu makes sure to show them the dorms based on them and introduce them to the Dorm Leaders and Vice Dorm Leaders. It goes as expected.

Riddle faints as soon as he sees Yuu and the Queen of Hearts enter Heartslybul. Well, not really, but he does freak out when he sees her. Trey is much more calm, but he’s very careful of what he says. Wouldn’t want her to get the wrong idea of him, right?

The Queen of Hearts approves of both of them! She’s impressed that Riddle knows all 810 rules by memory. Trey also makes the best tarts, and he’s polite so he’s good. (“You have good tastes in choosing your Vice Leader.” - Queen of Hearts, to Riddle)

Yuu ends up talking about Leona as they take Scar to the Savannaclaw dormitory. When he asks about the Vice Dorm Leader, Yuu replies with, “Ah- I’m not exactly sure but Jack told me that there isn’t any Vice Dorm Leader. Apparently someone has to defeat the current Dorm Leader to become Dorm Leader. Then the former Dorm Leader becomes the Vice. Since no one has defeated Leona...well, there’s no Vice.”

Yuu then adds that Ruggie is like a Vice, with how much work he does for Leona.

Scar is pretty impressed, actually. Leona must be very powerful to keep his position as Dorm Leader.

He’s not at all shocked when he sees the two mentioned (+Jack and other Savannaclaw members) practicing Magishift. When they finish, they’re s h o o k to hear clapping, and the one clapping is- IS THE KING OF BEASTS?!

Leona is going to be pretty smug for the next week, since he’s been praised by one of the Great Seven (take THAT, Farena!)

Scar approves, 10/10 (Ruggie is ok, he has his own smarts that Scar is impressed by)

Ursula is very impressed with Mostro Lounge when Yuu showed her. Undersea diner with a good atmosphere, completely fits her vibe. And the cuisine 👌

Azul is dying when Floyd drags him out of his office to show him the Sea Witch and Yuu casually talking as they wait for their food. He actually dies when Yuu spots him and Floyd and calls them over.

Jade shows up moments later with their food. He then proceeds to sit down to talk. The talk goes well, Ursula praises Azul when he talks about all the contracts he’s collected over the years.

Ursula could not be more proud of her dorm - Azul is cunning and intelligent (and an octopus merman; wonderful!) with the Vice being charming and dangerous. And Floyd is amusing, and also intimidating which she thinks is perfect. Ursula could not be more happy with who runs her dorm.

Jafar is pleased with how his dorm looks aesthetically. It reminds him of the palace back at Agrabah. He also appreciates the look of the flag(?) (is it a flag? Or is it a banner?)

“It’s really pretty at night - all the lights illuminate the area nicely!” “Oh? Well, then I might request to stay the night.”

Kalim is vibrating in excitement. The Sorcerer of the Desert? Here at NRC? They have to celebrate!! Jamil sighs, but he also admits that a celebration for one of the Great Seven isn’t going overboard.

Jafar...well, he approves of Jamil. He sees himself in Jamil (a servant to a bumbling fool-) Kalim...while a bumbling fool, Jafar notices how more self aware he is than that foolish Sultan, and much more independent he is. He also appreciates Kalim’s gesture of throwing a grand party in the name of him. So, he approves of both Kalim and Jamil and show them respect.

The Evil Queen...well, she appreciates how lovely her dorm looks. Fits her aesthetic. She also adores how the dorm clothes are inspired by her usual attire - a nice touch. All the dorm members; approved. Compliment her more, p e a s a n t s.

When she talks to Vil and learns of his beliefs, she approves 10/10. Go for your goals and do everything in your power to do so! (Doesn’t mention to poison people, again everyone here literally thinks they are amazing, don’t want that image ruined). And a skin routine to keep yourself as healthy looking as can be? She may as well give it a go!

Rook...well, he’s constantly singing praises about her, so he’s alright. (The stalking when she and Yuu are going around the garden is...kind of creepy, ngl) Though she admires how dedicated he is to Vil, unlike a certain huntsman she once knew (never mention the VDC incident to her. EVER)

Well, the Dorm could be worse, Hades says, Though the aesthetic is on point.

He loves Ortho (even though he isn’t a Vice Dorm Leader). Adopted him, basically.

Poor Idia though, Hades and Ortho drag him out of his room so he can give Hades a proper tour of the dorm.

So Idia and Hades do not have a good start, but Ortho is there as the bridge. If it wasn’t for Ortho I don’t think Idia would have the courage to even try to speak to the Lord of the Underworld.

The conversation steers towards Idia’s likes. Hades doesn’t really get it, but he’s willing to learn.

Hades jokes about Idia and Ortho being his descendants or something. Idia looks at Ortho and Hades, goes back and forth. Idia.EXE has crashed, please try again later.

Well...Hades enjoys Idia and Ortho’s company. He approves of his Dorm Leader, as much as a recluse he is (secretly asks Ortho if Idia is getting enough sunlight or going out. If not, that’s fine! He’ll personally invite him out to visit the Underworld or something if that helps)

Maleficent already knows who Malleus and Lilia are, and she approves. Malleus is her grandson after all, and becoming Dorm Leader to her own dorm is a big accomplishment she is proud of.

Comes over with Yuu and asks for tea. They gladly accept. They chat and have fun times. Malleus is happy he’s invited for once.

Maleficent is pretty annoyed that Malleus isn’t invited as often as she hoped. She sympathizes with Malleus, for not being invited to things hurts.

And Lilia? Ha, Maleficent has long chats about the olden days with him. (Even a few inside jokes that only make sense if you lived through them.) She’s also proud how Lilia took care of Malleus, look how Malleus is grown, Lilia, you raised him well.

Enjoys her time at Diasomnia. She’s planning to visit more often.
