Astro observations: Health aspects from the 6th house 💫
6th house in Aries: Be mindful of strong reactions, impulses and emotions as these could trigger high blood pressure, stress or unwanted headaches. Possible problems associated with the adrenal glands if health is not good. The person could be nearsighted/farsighted. Teeth issues and sensitive gums are common with this placement.
6th house in Taurus: Be careful with ‘burnout’ and try to keep a healthy work-life balance. The individual is prone to respiratory conditions, jaw and neck pain/problems, weight gain (associated with thyroid issues). Thyroid disease. Problems with your voice or throat. Take it easy and follow a rhythm that honors your needs.
6th house in Gemini: Allergies, infections, asthma, cough, breathing issues. Arms, hands and fingers might be sensitive. Anxiety and nervousness caused by too many unorganized/unwanted thoughts. Be careful with hand, arm and/or shoulder injuries.
6th house in Cancer: Sensitive breasts/chest area. Inflammation associated with water/fluid retention. Pay close attention to your salt and fat consumption. Intolerance to different ingredients. It is vital for individuals with this placement to express their emotions as this can feel like a detox process for a 6th house cancer.
6th house in Leo: Hear what your heart is telling you. Don’t let stress or anger take you 'over the edge'. Similar to Aries in this house, it is common for the native to suffer from high blood pressure if a balanced lifestyle is not followed; a healthy diet will help this native tremendously. Be careful with hernias and your spine. Back pain/injuries. Spend more time outside.
6th house in Virgo: Food sensitivities. Problems with digestion. Pay attention to sugar, fats, starches and the way your body reacts to them. Pancreatitis. Bloating associated with food intolerances. Meditation is recommended to calm an active mind and a healthy relationship with food will help with digestive issues.
6th house in Libra: Lumbar pain. Problems with the lower back. Sensitivity to salt. Kidney stones. Insulin resistance. Diabetes. Partnerships have a big influence in your life; stress or strong (negative) emotions resulting from these relationships can have a big impact in your health.
6th house in Scorpio: Constipation. Bladder/Urinary tract infections. Issues with libido/sex hormones. Cystitis (inflammation of the bladder; can cause pain or/and a burning sensation when peeing). Problems with the colon and elimination systems. Let go of any guilt/shame around your sexuality and keep a healthy relationship with your needs.
6th house in Sagittarius: Issues associated with the pituitary gland. Hip mobility problems, pain or injuries. Obesity. For optimal liver health, alcohol and stress levels need to be monitored and, if possible, reduced to a minimum. Yoga can help ease stiffness around the hips and thighs.
6th house in Capricorn: Knee pain. Injuries/procedures can cause significant scarring. Hair loss or scalp issues. Arthritis and joint pain. If your body is telling you to slow down, honor it and rest. Movement in every way is beneficial for the native. Be careful with your bones.
6th house in Aquarius: Varicose veins. Frequent cramps. Arteries and veins might need to be monitored closely, as the native is prone to circulation problems. Calf pain. Stress, nervousness, anxiety, insomnia. Be careful with addictions. Stay hydrated.
6th house in Pisces: Problems with the lymphatic system. Feet pain, inflammation, discomfort, injuries. Plantar fasciitis. Be careful with falls. Sleep problems, nightmares. Sadness that can lead into deep depression. Time alone is necessary. Make sure you’re getting the hours of sleep that your body requires to work harmoniously.
Stay tuned for more! :)

Here are some simple tips that can help improve your overall health:
Drink more water: Proper hydration is crucial for all bodily functions. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water per day.
Eat more fruits and vegetables: Load up on nutrient-dense produce at every meal and snack. The fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants are incredibly beneficial.
Get moving: Incorporate more physical activity into your day through exercises you enjoy - walking, dancing, sports, etc. Even light activity provides health benefits.
Prioritize sleep: Strive for 7-9 hours per night. Lack of quality sleep can negatively impact energy levels, mood, and health.
Practice portion control: Use smaller plates, read nutrition labels, and listen to hunger/fullness cues to avoid overeating.
Take the stairs: Choose stairs over elevators/escalators whenever possible for a quick calorie-burning workout.
Pack healthy snacks: Keep portable, nutritious snacks like nuts, fruit, veggie sticks on hand to avoid unhealthy impulse eating.
Limit processed foods: Minimize intake of pre-packaged snacks, frozen meals, and fast foods high in sodium, sugar, and unhealthy fats.
Stand up regularly: Set a reminder to get up and move around for 1-2 minutes every hour if you have a desk job.
Try deep breathing: Take several deep breaths throughout the day to reduce stress and anxiety.

Young Love (Damian Wayne x reader) 2/3
Requests!!
Tumblr media
Part one ->
Unable to believe his son would run away with a girl, he is hunting you down for the kidnapping of Damian Wayne.
You and Damian decided to head to the only untouched part of the city to find some food. Damian instructed you to put on his sweatshirt to cover up wit the hood, and gave you his sunglasses to further seal your identity. Damian was looking at the foods while your attention was to the left of the room by the back door. Somehow you could feel something coming, you turned to Damian, unsure what to say. You put a hand on his shoulder about to attempt to speak. You words were interrupted quickly by high pitched quick beeps, followed by a boom, and you fell to the ground.
When you got a chance to look up, you were being held at the collar by the Batman, before getting served multiple punches in the face. Then it happened, flames erupted in the grocery store.
“Damian, go!” Batman shouted.
That must be his name.
Batman threw you into the shelves so you would pass out before starting more flames. He cuffed you and turned around to face Damian, who was mid air to lounge at his father.
“Stop! Damian!” Bruce struggled between punches. “I’m here to take you away from her! I know she wanted you to get to me!”
“No, asshole! Not everything’s about you!” Damian kept swinging at him. “She’s not kidnapping me!”
“What?” Bruce shoved Damian into the ground, and stood up.
Damian slowly backed away from Bruce and towards you.
“That’s right, this isn’t about you, Batman. Great job destroying the only safe grocery store and untouched part of the city. We actually almost had it under control.”
He picked you up.
“Damian, put her down. She is dangerous.”
Damian raised his weapon at Batman, quickly blasting him in the leg so he wouldn’t follow you guys. He turned around and quickly ran out of the Grocery store.
Damian ran. He ran like it was him who was the enemy of Gotham right now. Eventually, he wasn’t in Gotham anymore. When he felt it was safe, he set you down, sat down beside you and kept his eyes on you. Trying to catch his breath, his heavy breaths turned into anxiety. It was mostly physical anxiety but all he could think was, Gotham is burning, and I’m here, with the enemy.
He shot the hero gotham needs right now, and he ran, like a coward. Your peaked open your eyes to see Damian distressed. Weak, you did what you could and lifted your cold hand up to his cheek, resting it there to show some form of solidarity with this near stranger you’ve spent most your week with.
It surprised him your hands weren’t firey hot, but freezing fucking cold. It was calming though, the blood rushed to his face was easing away. Physically his body calmed down. He looked into your eyes, almost curiously, and hesitated to put his hand on top of yours. Damian’s hearing focused on his slowing breath, he didn’t even notice yours. When he finally let his hand go, yours fell to to ground.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
“Hey!” He cursed himself for not asking for your name. “Wake up!”
“It’s time to wake up!” He repeated, more panicked.
He started poking you, poking turned to nudging, nudging turned to light hitting.
“Wake up! You bastard! I came all this way, wake up!”
When his angry voice’s echo ended, a flame erupted in the bathroom. All Damian’s wanted to do is help you, find a way to help ease all of this. He thought about your comfort to him,
That probably helped me more then I’ve helped her.
It was like your cold hand reset him. Cleared his mind. Then he realized, the brain releases norepinephrine during cold stress, which is shown to reduce depression and anxiety, and you’re fires started during moments for stress or anxiety.
Maybe he just needs to cool you down?
Damian needed a space to help you. He searched for the closest hotel and carried you into the bathtub, and turned the cold water on. He gently placed you in the cold water with a pile of towels next to him at hand, as he watched closely.
The water had hardly touched you as a weak flame grew next to Damian, he only took a second to observe it before bringing his attention back to you. A loud banging on the doors brought his attention back away.
“Damian! It’s Dick. Open the door.”
Fuck he cursed under his breath.
“Do I smell smoke? Damian what’s going on?”
Dick banged on the door again, more flames emerged each knock.
Damian quickly ran out of the bathroom, and dragged the bags of ice he bought on the way to the hotel with him to the bathroom.
“Damian! I know your in there with that girl. Open the door so no one gets hurt. I know you don’t want to hurt her.”
I don’t have time for this
Damian ripped open the ice bag one after another and poured them into the tub.
Come on, come on, come on.
Dick busted the door down, and ran inside toward the smoke. Damian grabbed a bag of ice and hid behind the door the sneakily strike his brother. Dick made his entrance and Damian swung him with the ice, and Dick fell unconscious. Damian then poured that last bag of ice in the tub. He watched carefully, but nothing happened.
She must be getting used to to temperature. It needs to shock her in order to make her body freeze what it’s doing.
He lifted your body out of the tub, and held you for a minute. Damian observed you closer then ever before. You were unconscious but not even your face wasn’t rested and he decided it was up to him to fix it. He dropped you back into the ice, you instantly sprung up and took many deep breaths in.
“Oh my god. Oh my god, you made it.”
Damian’s eyes watered as he quickly took you out of the water and held you in his arms as you were still weak. The hotel bathrooms flames were gone, he prayed the rest would be out too.
No one had ever cared like that before. How could a total stranger care more then anyone else has?
“What’s you’re name?” He asked, not wasting a second.
“(Your name).” You breathed out
“Hi (your name), I’m Damian.” He was panting as well. Both of you were exhausted and relieved.
“That’s Dick, my brother. He’ll wake up later.”
You looked into his gorgeous dark eyes, and he looked into yours.
The rest of the fires.
You quickly got up and looked outside, Damian followed.
“I think it looks alright out there.”

GUT HEALTH: How it Affects Your body 🍽️🤍✨
Having a healthy gut is important because it plays a central role in the overall functioning of your body. The state of a healthy or unhealthy gut affects all of these things:
Digestion and Nutrient Absorption: The gut's main role is to break down food and absorb important nutrients, including vitamins and minerals. When the gut is healthy, it digests food effectively and maximizes nutrient absorption. When it is not, it can result in digestive issues such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea, as well as nutrient deficiencies.
Immune System Support: About 70% of our immune cells are located in the gut. A balanced gut supports a strong immune response, helping the body fend off illnesses and reduce the risk of infections.
Emotions and Mood: The gut and brain are intricately connected through the gut-brain axis. The gut produces many neurotransmitters, including serotonin, which regulates your mood. An imbalanced gut can influence mental health, leading to issues like anxiety, depression, and even cognitive impairments.
Hormonal Balance: The gut plays a role in the production and modulation of certain hormones. This can impact various bodily functions, from stress responses to reproductive health.
Weight Management: The gut microbiome can influence metabolism, appetite, and fat storage. An imbalanced gut can lead to weight gain and metabolic disorders.
Protection Against Chronic Diseases: Poor gut health has been linked to a higher risk of chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and certain types of cancer.
Detoxification: The gut plays a role in eliminating waste products and toxins from the body.
Inflammation Regulation: A healthy gut can help regulate inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation, often resulting from an imbalanced gut is a root cause of many diseases.
Skin Health: There's a connection between gut health and skin conditions. Issues like acne, eczema, and rosacea can be influenced by the state of the gut. An unhealthy gut can lead to inflammation, which may manifest as skin issues.
Barrier Function: The gut lining acts as a barrier, preventing harmful substances from entering the bloodstream. A compromised gut lining, often referred to as "leaky gut," can allow toxins and pathogens to enter the bloodstream leading to various health issues.
Production of Vital Compounds: Your gut produces essential compounds, like short-chain fatty acids, which has a lot of positive effects on health from reducing inflammation to supporting brain function.
Sleep Function: The gut produces neurotransmitters and hormones that regulate sleep, such as serotonin and melatonin. An unhealthy gut can disrupt sleep patterns.

Hello! I was wonder if you could do Slasher headcannons with a S/O who struggles with Anxiety? If not that's alright!
Now I don't have an anxiety disorder so im doing research and I'm not sure it's you're talking about an anxiety disorder or just dealing with getting anxious but I'll make it the first one.
I tried to make this more serious but I failed
Slashers with reader who struggles with anxiety!
Michael
He may notice you seem extremely stressed about things, whether small or big and he doesn't understand it I mean if you're away from him then yeah he gets pretty nervous but about somethings like dates and schedules to the point it messes up in your daily life? Why?
But tries to comfort you. If he sees you fatigued then he'll usher you into bed, if you can't sleep then he'll just lay down next to you until you do which I'm unsure how long it'll take but he's quite the patient man, if he's in his younger days that is.
If you start crying because of it or get a panic attack and come to him he'll sit and let you cry on him and may have a hand on your hand, head or back while at it. He wants you to get help despite his strong dislike for you being away from him he sucks it up. But at the same time he also doesn't, because look like happened when he was with Loomis, he was supposed to help him and look how he turned out.
But he'll suck it up. If he notices if your mental health is getting worse when you are "getting treated" He'll just find and kill whoever is in charge of you.
Sinclair brothers
Bo has a hard shell yes but inside his heart is bouncing all over the place of worry. He may have had his fair share of panic attacks and it's horrible. He hopes there's something he can do to help. He listens to whatever problem you may be having and comforts you with what things you may like. He also tries not to lose his temper or yell around or at you. Which may be hard since he's angry 90% of the time but anything to help your anxiety reduce at least just a bit. He has magical hands that can and will remove anything that stresses you out and magical hands that will make you forget what stresses you out... He'll cuddle the shit out of you behind closed doors with many affections and kisses. Or just warm and gentle holding. You choose he'll do it. 🫶
Vincent is probably the most understanding, his worries and anxiety attacks when he imagines someone seeing him without his mask or when he can't find it. He doesn't know what much he can do since he's very awkward and and can't speak and is just '🧍' but he can listen and hold you however you'd like. If you want to touch and play with his hair then please do so, if you want to do a little a wax sculpting you're more than allowed. You're both doing wax sculptures to take your little mind off things, but if you start worrying if it's going to look good or not then he just "✋". If it's work then he'll bring you drinks and food of your choice and signals you to take a break. If your boss keeps pushing you to the point you break down then uh... Hey why did your boss go missing suddenly?
Lester the most carefree and happy though seen what it does to his brothers and hates it that it also happens to you. Very very sad. He takes you out on walks and Or driving around. Literally just holds you if he notices you being too nervous. And just the most sweetest soft kisses and affirmations that everything will be alright and you don't have to worry about anything because he'll be helping you through it all. Just soft cuddling as your pour your feelings out to him. He doesn't want you to feel alone and he won't make you feel alone. Snacks and drinks and heavy blankets and anything else that might help you for the time being. If there's someone or something that stresses you out too much they're either gone or oh look it looks like there's a hand popping out of the pile of roadkill! Anyways let's play with jonesy.
Bonus: jonesy! She just knows when you're feeling anxious before you do. plays with you, lets you pet her, kisses you. Just lays around you. Loves going on calming road trips with Lester so you're going too if you want to that is. If you're worried about your looks or something she'll just bite or bark at whoever gives you the looks or talks bad about you. She'll never let you feel bad she's your best friend 🫰🫵
Hannibal
He noticed this when you were first appointed, it's okay nothing special so did many of his previous patience but your case is really severe and you don't seem to get better. That's alright. There isn't always immediate changes it takes time. But no matter how much he gives time Or uses his techniques you don't seem to get better. This bothers him. And eventually he finds himself attached to you, like really attached and not just your disorder but for who you are. So now he is no longer Dr lecter. He's your best friend (boyfriend?) hannibal. Isn't that illegal? No because he's no longer your therapist and you're not longer his patient. How does that make sense? Don't ask anymore further questions.
He can read you like a book and he'll bring all your necessities you need when you start feeling really tense. During the attacks he'll rub your back while he holds a glass of cold water to your mouth while telling you it's okay. It also stresses him tf out. If you start becoming distant or get irritated more than usual he prepare something nice for you like food or a very pleasant warm bath and he assures you that he'll be there to help you. He'll make a healthy schedule for you and make you start looking after yourself, though he wonders if you're gonna leave him if you start finally getting better.
There may come a time where you are in a corner and uncontrollably crying and hannibal is just across the room staring at you as he calls will and says "Will, Will they won't stop crying what do I do." He knows what to do but is too afraid to do anything.
Billy and stu
It's really chaotic.
You may be on the ground and stu is just screaming and aggressively searching on his phone on what to do while Billy is shakily holding a glass of water and just says
"I heard water helps... You want water...?"
You're practically going to be sandwiched between them when it's cuddling time. And god forbid anyone makes you anxious and cry because they're gonna be on the news report later.
At least one of them is always going to be on your side incase anything distraughts you and there's gonna be no one there to help you ease down. Stu will be there to make jokes to help you feel lighter and Billy is just uh Billy. You three will maybe watch a movie or two and go on fun or relaxing outings. No person or something will make their s/o feel anything negative.

Health and Fitness: Tips and Benefits
Health and fitness are two interrelated concepts that affect our well-being and quality of life. Being healthy means having a good physical and mental condition, free from diseases and disorders. Being fit means having the ability to perform physical activities with ease, strength, and endurance. Both health and fitness can be improved by following some simple tips and enjoying some benefits.
Tips for Health and Fitness
One of the most important tips for health and fitness is to exercise daily for at least an hour. Exercise can help you burn calories, strengthen your muscles, improve your cardiovascular system, and boost your mood. You can choose any type of exercise that suits your preferences and goals, such as walking, running, cycling, swimming, dancing, or lifting weights. The key is to be consistent and challenge yourself gradually.
Another tip for health and fitness is to eat the right foods and portion each meal. Eating a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and water can provide you with the nutrients you need to function properly and prevent diseases. You should also avoid or limit foods that are high in sugar, salt, saturated fat, and processed ingredients. Additionally, you should control your portion sizes and avoid overeating or skipping meals.
A third tip for health and fitness is to keep track of calories and food intake per day. Knowing how many calories you consume, and burn can help you balance your energy intake and expenditure. This can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight if needed. You can use a food diary, an app, or a website to record what you eat and drink every day. You can also use a calorie calculator to estimate how many calories you need based on your age, gender, height, weight, and activity level.
A fourth tip for health and fitness is to be sure to get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for your body and mind to recover from the day’s activities and prepare for the next one. Sleep can also affect your appetite, metabolism, immune system, mood, memory, and concentration. You should aim to get at least seven to nine hours of quality sleep every night. To improve your sleep hygiene, you should follow a regular sleep schedule, avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and screens before bed, create a comfortable and dark sleeping environment, and relax before sleeping.
A fifth tip for health and fitness is to stay motivated. Motivation is the driving force that keeps you going despite the challenges and obstacles you may face. To stay motivated, you should set realistic and specific goals, track your progress, celebrate your achievements, reward yourself, seek support from others, join a group or a class, find a workout buddy, or hire a personal trainer. You should also remind yourself of the reasons why you want to be healthy and fit.
Benefits of Health and Fitness
Health and fitness have many benefits for your physical and mental well-being. Some of the benefits are:
Reduced risk of chronic diseases: Being healthy and fit can lower your chances of developing conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, arthritis, and obesity.
Improved balance and coordination: Being fit can enhance your ability to maintain your posture, move gracefully, avoid falls and injuries.
Increased energy levels: Being healthy can boost your metabolism and provide you with more fuel to perform your daily tasks.
Enhanced mood: Being fit can release endorphins in your brain that make you feel happy. Being healthy can also reduce stress hormones that cause anxiety.
Better self-esteem: Being healthy and fit can improve your appearance, confidence, and self-respect.
Conclusion
Health and fitness are important aspects of our lives that we should not neglect. By following some simple tips such as exercising daily, eating right, tracking calories, getting enough sleep, and staying motivated, we can improve our health and fitness levels. By doing so, we can enjoy many benefits such as reduced risk of chronic diseases, improved balance and coordination, increased energy levels, enhanced mood, and better self-esteem. Health and fitness are not only good for us but also for those around us who care about us. So, let’s start today!

hi!! i’m really loving this blog omg… could i request hcs of hallritt, puruth, and sanah helping their s/o who has bad sensory issues (specifically to touch and loud sounds)? thank you so much!! <3
Hallritt:
Hallritt would go above and beyond to help you with your sensory issues. He’ll research all day everyday on what’s the best way to support you when you’re going through a sensory overload, and will try his hardest to help you through it.
If your sensory issues are specifically to loud noises then Hallritt would have no problem with escorting you out of the premise and go somewhere more safer and calmer for you.
And regarding touch based sensory issues, Hallritt would make sure to only buy materials and fabric that are most comfortable to you, even if it means he has to make it himself.
Hallritt is a perfectionist in every aspect of his life and wants nothing more than to reduce your stress and anxiety that comes from your sensory issues, but there does a come a point in time where he realizes that he can cook your favorite meals, buy and sew clothes for you only using your favorite texture/materials, escort you out of a room if the noise is getting too much for you, buy you earbuds to cancel out the noises, and it still wouldn’t be enough.
In a perfect world, Hallritt would gladly stay by your side 25/8 but sadly he’s not able to be with you all the time due to his job as a knight, so he does his best to cherish his time with you and comfort you during a particularly bad day when he’s there.
Puruth
Puruth is not one to stay at one place for a long period of time, he is always on the go, so he always makes it a point to leave you with his jacket, his coat, a beret of his, or anything that reminds you of him, as a way to remind you that he’s always there for you even when he’s not physically present.
He isn’t the type to force you to do anything that you don’t want to do so if there’s a food that you don’t want to eat because of the texture, then he has no problem with going back to the kitchen and start from scratch to cook you a meal that would satisfy your needs.
As someone who tends to wear big oversized clothing and wears mismatched shoes, he understands how your sensory issues could also affect your choice of clothing so he’s more than happy to gift you some of his clothing if they fit your needs.
Puruth is a very patient person so if you’re going through a very bad case of sensory overload then he’s more than happy to sit there and wait for you to calm down.
While he may be an extrovert, he wouldn’t mind hanging out indoors with you in the castle if going outside would be too much for your sensory issues.
Sanah
Sanah is a very happy go lucky kind of guy, he’s the embodiment of happiness and positivity, and doesn’t like seeing you upset or anxious and would do anything to not make you feel that way.
However, Sanah isn’t very good at handling negativity or negative emotions in general, so owhen you were having a sensory overload meltdown for the first time in front of him, he was like a deer in headlights.
He had no idea what to do in that situation, didn’t know what to say to make you feel better, didn’t know what was the proper procedure to make calm you down, and ended up worsening the situation by talking to you during your meltdown, asking you questions like “y/n are you alright? do you need something?”, or trying to hug you to calm you down. Not realizing that talking to you or touching you during your meltdown could potentially make things worse.
However, after that initial hiccup, Sanah isn’t one to make the same mistake twice and now has a better grasp of understanding on your sensory issues and what he can and can’t do when you’re really going through it.
He knows that he best help he can give you is by being patient with you and make his presence known by sitting next to you in silence while you cool off without directly intervening for that could potentially make things worse for you.
While he is a very touchy and affectionate person he knows that you’re sensitive to touch so he won’t initiate any hugs or touches unless you initiate it first. He’s also has no problems with escorting you out from noisy places that trigger your sensory issues and going to somewhere more quieter and calmer.

If the biopsychsocial disease model is ontologically and epistemically dubious, tautological and smuggling moralizing language into seemingly descriptive statements, what other ways are there to understand "disease"? Can parts of medicalized language still be utilized by stripping them of this baggage, or is it a fool's errand?
im assuming this is in response to what i said about the biopsychosocial model wrt eating disorders. mostly what i meant in those tags was that i don't find bps to be a sufficient response or correction to the issues with the biomedical model where psychiatric diagnoses are concerned. this is for numerous reasons including that bps is chronically philosophically eclectic and predominantly dualist epistemologically; s nassir ghaemi has written on this.
anyway, the question to me would be: why would we want to use medicine's discourses in understanding 'eating disorders'? which terms, and to what ends? these are complex presentations because, obviously, there are serious physical complications from behaviours like food restriction and purging. so my point here isn't that it's not useful to talk about medical issues in medical language. (jennifer gaudiani's book 'sick enough' is a pretty good starter resource for patients on the medical complications of ed's, and the physician's concerns in treating them.)
rather, with the 'eating disorder' diagnoses, we're also dealing with the underlying desires and intentions that cause the food/body behaviours in question. although energy deprivation itself can and does intensify such desires/thought cycles, the vast majority of eating disorders do involve some degree of voluntary action and can't be resolved solely through physical treatment of malnutrition/starvation/ etc. on a disease model of eating disorders, the desire to starve/purge/etc is essentially a foreign intrusion on the sufferer's newly 'unhealthy' mind; some doctors will even go so far as to talk about the patient as 'split' into two people: the sick person, and the healthy one. the treatment modality here assumes that the goal is to expel or overcome 'the eating disorder thoughts', restoring the person to a 'normal', 'healthy' baseline.
i know that some people with these diagnoses find this ^^ narrative personally helpful and i don't wish to take that away from them. nevertheless, i believe it's insufficient and actively harmful to some people. it doesn't look at, for instance, the economic and social effects of weight stigma, something that makes 'disordered eating' appear a lot less disordered and a lot more rational and socially normative/enforced. the narrative also does a poor job, if any, of understanding food restriction/purging/etc as ways to manage stress/anxiety/etc, making the 'eating disorder' appear to be not so much an outside forceor attacker, but rather a person's best (though harmful!) tool for self-care. fundamentally the assumption in the above narrative is basically that no self-endangering desire could ever be 'native' to the psyche, that it must originate from elsewhere, and that a person can't truly desire two contradictory things or defend two contradictory interests. i don't find these assumptions to be true or useful (for ed's or for things like self-injury). these are incredibly bold assumptions to make about psychological 'normality' and 'health', and openly pathologise and stigmatise people who do experience such dangerous, harmful desires (and act on them). it's not helpful to sufferers; it's very helpful to the psychiatric establishment.
again, eating disorders are complicated by the fact that an energy deficit itself does have psychological-physiological effects on the bodymind; i don't deny that dialectical nature of the condition. and obviously medical care can be lifesaving when dealing with the physical complications, and everyone ought to have autonomous, freely chosen access to such care. i simply don't think that reducing the entire 'eating disorder' to a disease model (and bps basically also does this, just with the addition of 'factors' from social/psychological sources) is useful or sufficient for understanding or recovering from them.

Abdhdnsjej wait what about-
What if people's first impressions of meeting the fangless, clawless, magicless, aurmourless, squishy human, as opposed to the powerful figures of stories and myth, was like...
Them finding the human cute...
And I don't mean like 'I'd like to date them' cute, but more along the lines of 'SQUEE LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE IT IS!!!' cute.
Hell, you could even go as far as to say that this type of reaction is just... Far less likely to be encountered in NRC due to the guys being more 'hurr durr I don't wanna come across as soft' in some cases (although I can definitely see Kalim not caring as much about that - same with Lilia because grandpa bat don't give no cares)
Although if this was the case then the human could definitely get away with a buncha stuff that no one else could dream of (wanna have extra dessert? Trey's big bro instincts shall cave under human cuteness. Wanna cook but need someone to lend a hand? Some of the food plus the ability to see your victorious grin will have Ruggie up to help you out!)
And RSA would be a bit less like NRC and a bit more open about the 'SQUEE, ADORABLE' reactions. (The one thing that leads to NRC and RSA students bonding; the Human Fan Club)
And of course, Mini!Yuu is much more powerful in this regard! Itty bitty baby human with big ol' eyes that you can just scoop up and carry? (I can even see Cheka meeting the little one and insisting on acting like a big bro because he wants to keep his new human friend safe! The serious look on his face would be adorable lmao)
I hope this was coherent and wasn't weird/repeating something that had already been said xP I hope you have a nice day! Stay hydrated!
- fluff
*pterodactyl screech* Yes yes yes yessssssss!!! I love this so much! Cuteness shall rule the world~! Mwuahahahahaha~!! ÒwÓ
Ahem...sorry about that. Cute and silly things like this make me happy, and you just reminded me of the fact that elephants think we're cute! They experience the same reaction as we humans do when we see puppies and kittens, and it makes me smile~ ÓvÒ
On that note, it is safe to say that very few in Twisted Wonderland would be immune to the cuteness known as Yuu (let alone mini!Yuu). Regardless of their looks, height, weight, or any disability or scaring they may have, these monsters will find Yuu adorable--even if some of the more tsun-tsun of them may not show it so easily! >v< Based on what we know from the game, we see in Ace's dorm uniform vignette that a few of the students in his dorm baby-talk to the animals, so it's no surprise that Heartslabyul will be notorious for giving Yuu lots of affection and attention. Luckily only mini!Yuu gets baby-talked to while getting snuggles and headpats, so at lest normal Yuu doesn't have to worry--though they'll still get nicknames! 😆
Fun fact, but during one of the researcher's observational studies during exam time, stressed or burnt out students who spent time cuddling or receiving scritchies from Yuu had lower blood pressure, less anxiety, and reduced stress than those who didn't. Even the more aggressive students can't help but relax when given scritchies or hugs frm the human--fascinating!
Note: if Yuu happens to be a human who deals with sensory problems or doesn't react well to touch or random hugs, the students will (rather reluctantly and respectfully) resist the desire to hug or pet them and--instead--ask if it's okay first or allow Yuu to initiate. To put it another way, they approach Yuu the same way we would a shy or skittish cat: by respecting their boundaries and allowing Yuu to approach at their own pace. This has led to a mini competition of sorts to see who Yuu would go to for hugs the most, though it becomes a silent agreement that if Yuu falls asleep on them, they're not allowed to move. Much like how we have the pet rule "if an animal chooses to sleep or perch on you, you don't move until they do", this is NRC's "don't disturb the sleeping human" rule.
You are also absolutely right in that Yuu can get away with far more shenanigans and mischief than the others, weaponizing their cuteness to get extra snacks or to get out of a scolding frm the teachers or other dorm leaders. Even Leona can barely resist Yuu's charms! Want a certain treat or miss a specific dish from your home? Trey, Ruggie, Jamil, and surprisingly even Azul have you covered! Lilia practically adopted them, and Jamil has had to stop Kalim from flooding Ramshackle with gifts and the like!
Now as for the Human Fan Club...oh my god, that fan club is going to have a fanbase far and wide across Twisted Wonderland, both from NRC and RSA as well! 😂 It is a belssing and yet a curse as now NRC has to deal with an influx of RSA students wanting to spend time with Yuu and wanting to invite the human to spend some time at their school (which doesn't work given Crowley reminding Ambrose of the fact that Yuu belongs at the school as their responsibility and the agreement set in place).
I'm pretty sure that Cater started the fan club via his Magicam page thanks to all the likes and follows and people asking for more. XD
As for mini!Yuu...
No one can resist the little human's cuteness! Teenie tiny child wants to be high up to reach something? Someone will lift them up and hold them high or let them sit on their shoulders for a little while. Mini!Yuu wants cookies? A well placed pout and puppy eyes will be all it takes for someone to crack. Cheka meeting mini!Yuu for the first time went just about how you'd expect. >3>
Cheka: "Uncle, Uncle, look!"
Leona: "Put them down."
Cheka: *triumphantly holding mini!Yuu's with the biggest smile on his face* "Yuu wants to go visit Mom and Dad! Can we go?"
Mini!Yuu: "Pleaaaase, Uncle Leona?"
Leona: *ears go flat against his skull* "......tch...fine."
Mini!Yuu and Cheka: "Yay~!!!"
Needless to say, Leona wasn't going to win this battle, and I have no doubt his brother and sister-in-law would be smitten by the little tot. UvU
Anyway, that's all I can think of right now off the top of my head! Thank you for the well wishes and the reminder to stay hudrated, Fluff anon! I hope you and everyone else is doing okay too~! :D
