more often than not he’s drawn to observing and noticing everything about you, your little quirks, expressions, comments, when your right in front of him now, laughing and talking freely amongst your friends around him happily helping out and cleaning up a little. he doesn't seem to be near nor saying a word but only mesmerized as he watches from a distance, he feels so much in a daze of this realization that he doesn't snap out when you walk over to him, he looks at you with a distressed look.

he watches you after hours in the mostro lounge as you hum and finish closing and cleaning up with him and some others, however now it only seems to be you and azul. he knows he shouldn’t be staring but he tells himself just a few moments more, he always found you under the lighting to be mesmerizing. he hears you telling him about something silly that happened while you were serving, he hears you but can't focus as his mind is running with a million thoughts, if you ask him what it is, he clears his throat and carefully adjusts his glasses, replying slowly.

his feelings hit so hard, as soon as he got them, he loved it and wanted more of the adrenaline and high of being completely enamored with someone. he loved all the little things that happens throughout the day that makes him so giddy and happy he thinks about it as he tries to sleep, excited for tomorrow to come to see you. kalim feels like he is literally your other half, always wanting to be right beside you.

he finds himself daydreaming quite often, of what it'd be like to be yours, even the thought of you giving him a kiss on the cheek has him flushed. of course, you’d find himself at his celebrations and parades he holds at his dorm. he'd always try to get you to dance, grabbing your hands and jumping up and down with you laughing at least. kalim feels like he can say anything to you and thats exactly what he does. he grabs your hands and bring it up to his face near his lips.

he had his apprehensions; you were more so just someone he knew and eventually because dormmates during his stay with the others at ramshackle. vil had always seemed so drawn to you, if you notice him staring and give a nervous, confused look he'll smoothly adjust something on you. it looks like he can see right through you at times, it didn't take long for him to believe what a genuinely good soul you are in this school. when you and the others were dealing with the events that unfolded when dealing with idia and STYX, when vil had hugged you and pressed a kiss to your forehead he realized just how fully he was deep in this. he pulled away and stared at you for a moment with his hands gripped on your arms that took a longer to fully pull away.

you've sparked such an interest in him, he practically found himself becoming infatuated over time. you'll find yourself within his dorm as he carefully applies makeup to your face-- he adores doing but he can't help but feel amused with a smile creeping to his face when he feels how strangely intimate it feels between you too with him so close. he looks at you with the dreamiest daze, he'll pinch your cheek lightly before moving to grab something else.

yet as soon as he felt that sensation around you, he eventually turned into his fear because of his infatuation he has around you only grew. he feels his mouth goes dry and struggles to finds something to say when he's looking right at you. you'll still see his moments where he's rambling about something he built or a media he is enjoying but he grows back more into his shell of anxiety when he realizes how much he feels. he considers you perfect and honestly, far out of his league. there was no one someone like you would possibly fall for someone like him. still, idia has found himself to be a pathetic mess when it comes to you and quickly presses send.

surprisingly, out of all of them - i feel like its him that falls for you the quickest. he found himself to be so smitten with you as soon as he accidentally stumbled upon you when it was unbeknownst to him that you were living in the ramshackle dorm now. he admires you, you've shown anything but fear around him and made him feel seen. he truly believes its fate that you somehow found yourself all the way to twisted wonderland and you two had met each other, he tends to find his mind drifting and thinking about that a lot. despite you possessing no magic, he still sometimes will tell you even before confessing that you must hold something. malleus won't give you an exact answer as to why he thinks that yet– being playful and mysterious as he quietly laughs to himself. you stumbled into this unknown world and made him this infatuated. he can't take his eyes off of you during the nights you find yourself talking to him, he watches you look at the nature, as he often shares you the beauty of it in the late hours.

Housewardens Holding hands, Cuddles, or Both?

{Sorry I haven't done much writing life's had me busy. But here's my first written thing for this blog! Requests are open so feel free to send me your requests and I'll do my best with them!}

Riddle Roseheart: He most likely would hold you hand over cuddling unless it's behind closed doors. If you two are alone in his dorm room he would probably be more likely to cuddle with you. Out in public people would see him holding hands with you, but if anyone is caught teasing him it's off with their head or well the collar of shame.

Leona Kingscholar: He's more of a cuddler with you than he would be with holding your hand. Why might you ask? It's a perfect excuse to have you in his arms as he takes a nap in his room or in the botanical garden. He likes having you in his arms but there might be a rare chance he would just hold your hand. He just feels like cuddling is better than just holding hands. But if you two do hold hands expect him to place a kiss on your hand or two.

Azul Ashengrotto: He has a business reputation he doesn't wanna lose so most of the time he will hold your hand when out in public. But when it's just you two alone in his office or elsewhere he would be cuddling with your arms around him as you make him feel safe. He isn't used to having someone like you treat him with so much love besides the eel twins being cheeky friends with Azul.

Kalim Al-Asim: Yes to both and much more this boy loves giving and receiving affection. It probably gets annoying to Jamil as Kalim still has housewarden stuff to do but Kalim will just want to cuddle with you. But sometimes you can convince him to finish his housewarden work with promises for more cuddles afterwards. On you way to class he holds you hand and walks you to and from classes even if his class is on the other side of the school.

Vil Schoenheit: Vil seems more likely to hold your hand in public as he isn't usually physically affectionate. But often times he will cuddle with you if you were both alone in his room or yours if you two are watching movies. He also might kiss your hand if you two are holding hands, so there's a chance you might have lipstick kisses on your hands but is that really a bad thing? I don't think so.

Idia Shroud: Idia isn't usually one for PDA but there's a small chance if you two are in his room he will hold your hand or cuddle you while he's playing a game. If you two are on a late night snack run he probably will hold you hand as you two were out together. This poor guy is gonna take a while to get used to the idea of physical affection, so give him some time and then he might be more comfortable with PDA with you if you two are alone.

Malleus Draconia: This boy is definitely gonna use any chance to be affectionate to you. Holding hands while going to class or just you two cuddling together he isn't picky as long as he's with you. This boy just wants to spend time with the person he loves so much so let him. He will also make sure to try and respect boundaries and make sure you feel comfortable. He doesn't want to make you uncomfortable with him cuddling with you or holding your hand.

Malleus has lots of respect for Riddle. So when you asked him who you should go to to learn about human customs, Malleus pointed him in Riddle's direction. Malleus knows that Riddle barely knows modern human customs, but he is a matchmaker Extraordinaire now that he is dating Yuu.

Riddle is honored that the Draconia family thinks so highly of him, and does his best to teach you about what the children of men do these days. It's actually both of you just learning about humans, and it's so cute.

It's on one of these adventures to learn about modern human things that Riddle looks over at you, and realizes how beautiful and ethereal you are. After that, it's over for him. He's a flustered mess around you and it's easy to figure out what's going on.

Translation: "Riddle, wanna go to a movie? My brother says it's chill."

Everyone was scared of you both individually, but now? Power couple, power couple, power couple.

Honestly, at first he was so self conscious about it. How could Malleus Draconia 's younger brother ever reciprocate the feelings of a hyena with no money and no prospects. 

Like your brother, you're very wise. You know, and you decide to be the fae you are, and play with Ruggie until he admits it. You talk in riddles, and pretty soon Ruggie is dizzy thinking about this fae prince, but ecstatic that he is making headway with his crush.

Eventually, he cracks, and admits it. And you just smile knowingly.

"I accept your confession, little hyena."

Doesn't appreciate being called little… but with a sugar daddy boyfriend who'll let him snuggle whenever he likes,  he'll be your "little hyena" as often as you like.

Floyd is that kid who sees something, and is like "what would it be like if I bit that?" 

So imagine a merman, who has hyperfixations on biting things, seeing a fae for the first time ever in one of his first year classes. Azul spends weeks trying to keep you two apart.

When the time comes, and Floyd has chomped down on your arm, you find it hilarious. As a fae, you barely felt it, and as a prince, you'd never had someone bite you before. Instant friendship between you two . (Tried to bite your horns one time, was very pouty that they hurt his teeth)

You never question him when he nibbles on you. And it becomes a comfort for him. Bored? Find sea dragon, and steal one of his fingers to nibble. Sad? Snuggles, and nomming on your shoulder, please!

Realizes how he feels when he loses all motivation when you have to return to the Valley of Thorns to celebrate your brother's betrothal. He just mopes around the lounge, until you come back, and immediately tells you how he feels. So no more leaving him, okay! 

Really excited that he is now allowed to bite your lips…🥺

You wanted to study a merman, and Jade wanted to study a Draconic fae. While your intentions were much purer than Jade's, it's still a beneficial arrangement.

As a thank you for his help in learning about mermaid culture, you present him with a terrarium full of Valley of Thorns mushrooms. That's what breaks him.

But if anyone is able to outdo a fae in observation and outlasting…. It's Jade. Jade waits, and waits, and waits some more…and strikes when he's showing you around his home in the ocean.

"I'm certain you've received grander proposals than this, but I would love the honor of being your boyfriend."

He planned everything. He picked a beautiful spot where the bioluminescence of the ocean, and himself, would make him irresistibly mysterious and ethereal. But it also backfires and further accentuates your own unearthly features. Now you're both simping.

"I accept your confession, Jade. Although, if you're using me to get to my mushrooms, I'm not too sure my brother would take kindly to it." 

Both of you laugh, as though you each know a secret, but Jade instinctively wraps his tail around your legs and brings you closer….and it just feels right.

Azul starts out thinking that you will be in an easy in with Diasomnia and Malleus, but it turned out you could be just as unapproachable as your brother. Oh well, he loves a challenge from time to time.

Not long in to researching you, you join the board game club and challenge Azul to a chess match, here you may or may not have talked in enough circles that he reveals the scheme. 

He thinks he's blown int but you suddenly start making weekly visits to the Monstro Lounge. You order the same thing, make a cryptic comment and leave. It's like clockwork, and Azul can't help but feel you've hypnotized him with this routine.

He grows so comfortable with this routine, that he has your table and food ready before you arrive, and serves you personally. (The twins give him hell for it.)

When you invite him out….he thinks he's going to die.  He tries to keep up the business man persona, but he's such a simp. He's stuttering and fumbling, until you tell him how dear he has become to you, and how beautiful you find him. Then he stops fumbling and becomes a blushy mess that feels all warm and fuzzy inside.

The twins give him hell for it (pt 2).

People are not this warm and affectionate in the Valley of Thorns. You probably fall first honestly. Like Mal falling for Yuu, you fall for Kalim and spend all your time in Scarabia. 

You play Mancala with Kalim, and play as long as he wants/takes to win. Kalim loves that you don't get bored or annoyed with him.

During the phase where Kalim is being hypnotized and has memory loss, he notices you aren't around as often, and starts to realize how important you are to him.

After Jamil overblots, you come to see him immediately, and do a magical checkup to make sure he's okay. Kalim asks why you've stayed away so long, and his heart breaks when he sees your sad smile as you say, "You, yourself, told me I was no longer welcome."

Kalim cries and hugs you tightly,  telling you he didn't mean it, he loves you so much! 

After he calms down and gets to a good mental state, you both have a conversation about your relationship, and realize you both love each other the same. Happy ever after for two squishy boys!

You met when Lilia invited you to see his band. Jamil was sitting in the audience for Kalim, and you two had a great conversation before he lost his hearing from Lilia smashing yet another guitar.

Jamil is still trying to be average and unnoticed when you meet, so you don't see him much after that. But he sees you. He is enthralled by your natural skills,  and even though you're a rich kid, (prince) you carry yourself with an air of self awareness and kindness, and he can't help but think that in another life…

Stops that line of thinking really fast. A prince would never be with a servant. But in the days before his overblot, it's definitely you he's thinking about when he thinks about what he can accomplish with his freedom.

After the overblot, you doctor him up, and replenish any empty magic stores that could be a problem. Then you do his chores for him. If he wasn't whipped for you already….

You catch him watching you dreamily, and call him out on it. Then you take his hand and cup his cheek and tell him you feel the same.

"I'm not worthy-"

"I am the second born prince of the Valley of Thorns, a member of a long line of Draconic fae. If I say you are worthy, Viper, then you are worthy."

The way you say it, it's like you are weaving a spell to make it true, and make him believe it. If that was your intention, it worked.

Definitely a friend's to lovers situation. Silver being raised around you, and both of you at least starting at a similar emotional age (you've passed him, but such is the way of the fae) you were close for the entirety of Silver's life .

He has a sense of duty to Malleus and Lilia for his position, and he definitely still has a little bit to you due to your position as second born, but it's not as heavy for you, so he can mostly relax around you.

He realizes he's in love in a first year flight class when he fell asleep on his broom, and woke up in your arms after you caught him. 

It's a year later, and he's stoically escorting you to the library, when you decide to play with him a little.

"There's this little prince I've had my eyes on…"

Silver's a good knight, so he won't say anything, but deep down he's disappointed. All he'll say is something like, "I'm so happy for you, Prince Y/N."

Then you'll start describing him, and he'll falter. You cup his cheek and look deeply in his eyes and say, "My little Prince is named Silver, and there is no one else I'd rather have by my side." 

Oh.

OH.

Silver probably reaffirms his undying loyalty, then turns a bright red when you take his hand as you continue your walk. Honestly, I ship this one the most.

Kissing the Housewardens in Spin the Bottle Headcannons

I'm upset again, so more silly goofy headcannons (these were made to be pretty jokey but I don't mind making more serious romantic headcannons for the housewardens if people want it) (also, these are headcannons given that you and the character both like each other and are fine with kissing each other, for obvious reasons)

Riddle Rosehearts:

I don't know how you got him to play this tbh

He was probably forced to play by Cater cause there's no way in HELL he's gonna lose his first kiss to a silly little game

And then he loses his first kiss to a silly little game

He's lucky you were the one to spin the bottle because if it was anyone else, he would've broken the rules and ran right out the door

He probably just stares at you as you come closer to him

Tries to act calm and normal but fails I'm sorry-

If you give him a kiss on the cheek, he'll be fine, he'll be normal

But if you kiss him on the lips, he'll turn into tomato Riddle real quick

He'd be a little bitter than his first kiss wasn't more special, but is still happy you kissed him

Leona Kingscholar:

Gives one of the more normal responses out of the group

Probably kissed someone before and didn't think too much of it, so he's perfectly fine with this

When you spin the bottle and it lands on him, he gives a sort of smug look to hide the fact that he's happy the bottle didn't land on someone else

If you give him a kiss on the cheek, he'll make fun of you for how shy you must've been to not give him a real kiss

If you give him a kiss on the lips, he'll make fun of you for how desperate you must've been to kiss him

You don't win either way- unless you wanna kiss him cuz yeah, you won in that department

Would put his hand on his tail so that people don't see how much it's swinging back and forth

You think his tail gets tired? Is it like a leg or something?

Azul Ashengrotto:

Has more composure than Riddle but not by much

Also didn't do this of his own free well

Jade and Floyd probably pressured him into doing it and dipped lol

Again, another one who hasn't had his first kiss yet is more ok with this than Riddle

If you kiss him on the cheek, he'll talk about how not nervous he was, even though that's a complete lie

If you kiss him on the lips though, he'd start squirming like a fish out of water

or like, or like an octopus. I'm so clever.

Cries a little, not like a noticeable amount but he cries

Luckily it's not sad tears but more conflicted and embarrassed tears

He'd grab Floyd's confidence after with a contract and ask to do a do over kiss so you don't think he's lame or something

But he is, he is very much lame (affectionate and derogatory)

Kalim Al-Asim:

Out of the all the housewardens, the most likely to have started the game

He thought it would be a nice bonding moment to kiss your homies or something I dunno man he's trying his best

Would be pretty happy to have the bottle land on him

Another one who hasn't had his first kiss yet, but it's probably cause he was sheltered from romantic relationships, like Riddle

However he's fine with giving it up now, and even more fine with kissing you in particular

Would make the first move and not the other way around

He'd ask you first if you'd like to kiss on the lips or not (consent is cool guys!)

If you say no, he'd respect that and give you a kiss on the cheek, and a complementary hug

If you say yes, he'd get a little embarrassed before giving you a little peck on the lips

I'm sorry guys but once Jamil finds out, y'all are dead-

The most chill about this whole situation

He definitely kissed as a part of one of his acting roles so he probably joined the game for funsies

Is a little surprised that the bottle landed on him, but he's fine with it

He likes you so getting a free chance to kiss you is great for him

Would also make the move first like Kalim

He'd also ask for consent because consent is neat!

If you don't wanna kiss him on the lips, he'd make a little comment about it as a joke and give you a smooch on the cheek

The least chill about this whole situation

In all honesty, he wouldn't even join the game nor would he go in person

But I don't want this part to be "you kissed his tablet awkwardly and everyone just had to watch you kiss a tablet, including Idia, who's probably getting the weirdest view rn"

So let's just say Ortho begged him to come to whatever party this is at or something and Azul made him play because if he was forced to do it, Idia would be too

Starts panicking once the bottle lands on him

Hasn't had his first kiss yet (obviously) and he doesn't wanna lose it to this silly little normie game

If you kiss him on the cheek, he'll be embarrassed yeah, but he'll also be thankful that his first kiss has been spared

If you kiss him on the lips though, you won't cuz he'll pass out before you get the chance

If he's feeling confident, he'd give you a kiss on the cheek once you two are alone as an apology for being cringe

The most confused about this whole situation

Not only is he confused at the fact that he was actually invited, but he's also confused on how the game works

If you want to kiss someone, why leave it up to chance, y'know

He gets surprisingly embarrassed once the bottle lands on him

Yeah he's like 100+ years old or whatever, but I still feel like he's the type to save his first kiss for marriage or his first love (aka yuu you)

So he's happy but also thought his first kiss would be, y'know, private

If you kiss him on the cheek, he'd laugh a little and give you a kiss on the cheek back

If you kiss him on the lips, he's gonna go all out, pull ALL the stops

Imagine being the other housewardens just watching as Malleus just straight up makes out with you in front of them

Fucking steals you to go do some more kissing in his room-

"aah, thank the sevens it's over!" ruggie exclaims besides you, watching leona and vil argue about his method of walking and interacting with the diurnal fae as kalim leans on jamil tiredly a distance ahead of the two of you. "wish i could keep the keep the clothes since they're so fancy, but professor crewel mentioned we had to return it t'him. it's a shame though."

"hmm, true," you murmur, picking at the various bows and ribbons on your clothing. despite being on the stealing team, as grim liked to call it, professor crewel made sure that you were just as stylishly, if not more, according to rook, dressed, appropriate for the occasion. "it is really pretty, but hey, rules are rules. once i learn how to sew dresses, maybe i can try replicating this, huh?"

"shihihi, maybe we can do it together, y'know?" ruggie leans in real close as you flush, fangs glistening with the lamps overhead. "you got ya skill, and i'll toss in a bone here an' there to keep ya working." you glance ahead of you, looking at leona slouching in front of crewel and vil, simultaneously retorting. "you're turning out to be just like your boss over there, y'know."

"ah shit," ruggie deadpans with a grin threatening to take over his mouth. "leona's the last person i wanna be, okay?" a silence descends over the two of you as you laugh, as if insulting leona was the best joke the two of you could come up with (it's not, but in that moment? totally worth it. even if he's saved your behinds a few minutes ago.). "anyway," ruggie wheezes, pretending to wipe a stray tear, "we better get back to our dorms soon, huh? otherwise crowley's gonna get on our asses."

you tilt your head at ruggie at the sudden change of topic, but don't comment as you nod, wishing him a good night and heading back with grim nodding off on your shoulder. your suspicion of him and his plans does not wane even as you change into more comfortable clothes, grim's ribbon tossed messily onto the table in the room as he snores away in a smaller custom bed you, ace, deuce, and jack had worked on for him. as you settle into your bed, your phone goes off. a message.

you scoff at the last message he sent he sent you before you sigh, getting out of the comfy bed to shuffle downstairs. another ping.

sighing again, you shuffle up the stairs to get dressed, whispering a silent goodnight to grim as you make your way towards the botanical garden, now devoid of all fae. ruggie, who's sitting at the edge of the closed fountain, waves at you enthusiastically. "you don't even look like you've changed," you start, giving him a once-over.

"that's cuz i didn't. i needed time to prep for this, y'know." ruggie responds with all the nonchalance of an experienced outlaw. as you tilt your head to the side again with confusion, fairy lights switch on overhead, dim enough for the moon to shine brighter and yet bright enough to see the ground beneath your feet. "dance with me, [name]. c'mon!" the lights glistening overhead also twinkle in a way that seems encouraging, and you sigh with a smile as you take ruggie's more calloused hand as you're spun around gently.

there is no music in the garden- only the whistle of the spring wind and ruggie's gentle humming, and despite the silence, the two of you move as if dancing to the same beat, the beat played by the fae celebrating at the gardens. plucking a lose bow from your dress, ruggie attaches it to your hair with a chuckle as you roll your eyes fondly, placing on it on his hair instead. "pretty," you beam, pulling him closer to kiss him on the cheek gently.

and the rhythm under the stars continues.

Unbothered, LEONA cannot care less. You’re just sleeping togther, it’s really not that big of a deal. Sure he’ll care if you snore or kick in your sleep, but otherwise, he’s all good.

AZUL, to put it the nicest way possible, has absolutely 0 rizz. When you propose the idea of just sleeping together, his composed facade completely falls. He’ll blush intensely and keep saying he’ll sleep on the couch, but eventually, he’ll give in ;)

ever wondered what your future child/children would be like with your favorite dorm leader?

(includes: kalim, vil, idia, and malleus)

Kalim: Two kids. It was immediately assumed that you and Kalim would have more than a dozen little ones running around the halls of your shared home but when Kalim matured and got wiser he instantly knew that he wanted a few kids, mostly because having been the oldest one of a huge amount of siblings in his family he knew how it can be frustrating for children in big families to try to be heard, not only that but he didn't wanna have his children only have a primary caretaker caring for them 24/7 that isn't him or you! He wanted to be as present as possible for every stage of his kids' lives and wanted to celebrate every one of their milestones with a huge parade!

Kalim as a father would be an attentive one, always there to meet his children in the morning and always there to bid them sweet dreams in the night time with you by his side. He's the kind of father that would teach his kids how to take care of the many peacocks, elephants, monkeys, and other animals their family owns as well as playing and teaching them all sorts of games most especially a childhood game that he learned with Jamil, called Mancala. Not only that but with his family's wealth he generally enjoys traveling to certain places with you and his two kids, so that they can get to know the world they live in, in a more personal way than just teaching them with average maps from the house library.

Your first child with Kalim is definitely a ray of sunshine! Literally a copy and paste of Kalim's personality since they are not only extroverted and usually hyped up but they as well are as generous and giving. Speaking of giving, this kiddo loves gifting gifts to friends and family. Whether it'd be a single pretty flower they found in the yard or a small yet somewhat heavy bag filled with authentic gold coins! They just love giving and they unsurprisingly learned this from Kalim himself. They have Kalim's bright red eyes, skin, eye shape, and even eyebrow shape! Meanwhile you gave them locks of your hair color and texture along with any other beauty marks(if you have any). They absolutely love the outdoors which includes physical games/sports and the many animals they try to take care from time to time. As a physical sort of kid they also love learning to dance with Kalim and Jamil to teach them by their side, eventually when they are older they'd probably be a very sharp and talented dancer if they so choose. Overall literally just an adorable ray of sunshine!

The second Al-Asim child is much calmer than their sibling but there is never a day where they don't have a smile on their face. They too love the animals their family owns and even spends more time with them than their sibling does. They also enjoy the smaller things happening around them like watching butterflies hatch from their cocoons, watching a baby bird learning how to fly, or heck just watching fireflies hover in the night sky. They have a particular interest for drawing said animals and insects too(much to uncle Jamil's dismay), from the animals they own, wild creatures going out and about, to even Jamil's pet parrot that they at times feel like they are having real conversations with! They have Kalim's hair color, hair texture, his red eyes, and his skin as well but they also have your nose, eyebrows, and any other beauty marks you may have.

In conclusion to Kalim's part you four are really just a happy family, there are basically few to none arguments happening in the home and if there ever is a disagreement it's usually ended pretty quickly with proper communication. Uncle Jamil is always there to keep them company if ever needed and they do enjoy their time with them too, having connected with them in a more emotional level than Jamil ever has with Kalim in their NRC years.

Vil: One kid. Vil has always thought of the possibility of children in his future during his years in NRC, most especially when you stumbled into his life. Thing was he knew he wanted to start a family when he knew for sure that he did what he wanted to do during his career and more, so it was a bit till you guys were finally gifted a child!

 In the end you two decided on just one child since even if Vil was now at a point where he was happy with his career he still knew he had work here and there and wanted to be as present as possible even though he knew that could still happen with more than one kid he didn't want to take any risks in accidentally neglecting one kid and not the other, in the end you agreed to it since you understood his worries and how demanding his job could be as a famous model/actor. Vil would definitely be a strict parent yet would always try to make sure not to be suffocating or somehow hurt his kid, but he really didn't want them to be failing in any classes or activities on his watch.

Your one child definitely has their father's beauty and grace. Gifted soft locks of blonde hair, sleeked eye shape and face shape from Vil as well as your eyebrow shape, nose, hair texture, and your eye color(even a beauty mark or two if you have any). They definitely were on the more shyer and quiet type, they at times had a hard time making friends but with both of your encouragements they were definitely open to trying their best in socializing. If grace was genetic then your kid certainly got it from their father, since wherever they walked they radiated a kind of glow that Vil himself had... I guess it's just in the Schoenheit blood. 

Then when alone they definitely shined in the arts department, whether it was painting, sculpting, pottery, drawing, dancing, singing, or even make-up and acting like their father, they knew you and Vil had their backs and upmost support. If it were in anything to do with make-up or acting(singing can be included) you can already see Vil slowly teaching his child the basics and more! You can see how Vil shines and smiles just being able to teach his child the true beauty of his craft.

Oh and I can't forget to mention that Vil would certainly be one of the most good-looking parents while picking up his kid from school when he has the opportunity to(he might as well be competing with Azul in the dilf department when picking up their own kids).

Idia: One kid. Definitely just one kid. It was a miracle you two were even able to agree mutually to conceive a child since Idia still has some internalized trauma from the accident with his younger brother, Ortho, as well as his family's blot curse that they will inherit. You understood his worry and you most likely would've come to terms with the fact that you both would've probably never get to have kids, but despite his fear of the same thing that happened to Ortho repeating... his love for you and his wish for having his own future children that he buried with the death of his brother were too strong to overcome now that he was older and wiser, and when it came to the curse he'd work twice as hard to find a cure to rid him and his child of this anomaly they both didn't ask for yet inherited.

 It was an understatement calling him a helicopter parent, as much as he wanted to follow your advice to let the kiddo breathe a bit by having Ortho take a break from following and hovering over your child while he was away at work or at home, he was already waist deep back into his trauma without even noticing. It would get to a point where you and Idia would at times have arguments about this and the breaking point would be when his own child snaps at him and expresses how they feel towards this constant supervision. The kid loves Ortho to death there is no doubt about it but they also just would want some space. In the end this situation would then get some positive progress by Idia by letting them have fun and grow without him or Ortho around, but he can at times get in a panic and slip up-- eventually asking Ortho to supervise from afar for him. He does try to make an effort tho! Just that he doesn't want to lose his only child so soon the way he lost his younger brother.

I want to quickly mention that because of what happened to Ortho Idia would never, and I truly mean never ever let his kid go anywhere close to the proximity of the 'Tartarus' facility. He will let them come to work with him at times but will never let them get too close to that part of the research building.

In the end Idia does indeed stop sending Ortho to look after the kid constantly and does try to calm down more, but hey... a parent will always worry.

You and Idia's only child will most definitely have his bright blue hair of fire that reacts the same way towards emotions the same way Idia's does. They will inherit your eye color, eye shape, nose, and beauty marks(if any) but will inherit Idia's other features such as pale skin(maybe not a white kind of pale, but somewhat of a pale shade), a sharp smile, gloomy exterior, and the genetic eyeshadow and lip color straight from the Shroud family. Their personality lies around the quietness of their father but will also have other more extroverted attributes of yours of any kind. An informative and smart kid that loves making friends and get into conversations with others that think like them. They share their father's interests in gaming and programming which Idia is always there to teach them what he knows with pride.

They also have a bit of a temper but they never stay upset for too long since eventually they know that when Idia is off of any work related things at the end of the week that you three will be able to have the biggest and ultimate game night!

 The other thing that I want to mention once more is that Idia has to worry about the curse he'd eventually pass onto his child. Having to do daily check ups to make sure the curse doesn't get out of hand and hurt them. He's especially consistent in this and as he's working at home or in the S.T.Y.X research buildings for a way to find a cure for this curse, all he can think about is his only child in mind.

Malleus: Four kids. C'mon.. what did you expect fellow reader, with Malleus around there is no way you wouldn't have more than two kids.

Malleus has generally always wanted a big family, not because of his job as now King of Briar Valley having to have a child or more to keep the royal line going but simply because he himself also has been a fan of the beauty that comes with the domestic life. He enjoys the small things like walking along a beautifully set nature path with you, taking you out on your daily romantic outings, gifting you many wagons of pure red roses after a tough day of you adapting to the royal life... but he's also overly enjoyed the more important and bigger things to this such as the birth of his four little dragons.

Malleus as a father is attentive yet has a kind of hands off approach, wanting to see how his children grow and each become their own person as they mature with his and your guidance. Despite this there are times when he is overprotective of where they head off to and how far it is since he still has the underlying tendency to want them nearby at all costs, but he has self-restraint and knows the value in them venturing off on their own at times. Even so, he knows that if he's ever in a hitch he can always rely on Lilia for advice as he's experienced in the caring of children.

First Draconia kid to mention off the bat straight up has Malleus's intimidating aura, their neutral face seems to always be in a scowl kind of expression, they have a natural cold and aloof demeanor, eyes shaped in a way that seems judgemental, horns, fangs, and ears from their father and to tie it all up they also have their father's piercing green eyes. So clearly it would be somewhat inevitable that they would be somewhat feared and avoided like how their father was back then, issue is that those who ran away would miss out on the most kindest and most gentle half fae child ever! This kid's personality is the complete opposite of what they look like and in all honesty is a complete extrovert, they also adapted some of your own habits and traits too. Some contributions you've given to your child is your hair color, hair texture, eyebrows, nose, beauty marks(if you have any), and face shape. They have small interests in nature and the arts and generally get along with a lot of the animals and local children that look past their first impressions of them in the kingdom.

Second Draconia kid looks like the spitting image of you, they inherited all of your strong and delicate features. Malleus likes to mention at times that they look like a mini you with the way their eyes are shaped and colored as yours, share the same nose and lip shape, inherited your smaller features such as beauty marks(if any) and eyebrows, even their hair color and texture is incredibly similar to yours! Only exceptions are the fangs, ears, and horns given by Malleus. They have interests in anything strategic and physical which leads them to spend a lot of time with their uncles Silver, Sebek, and Lilia(secretly calls Lilia 'grandpa' tho) since their way with the sword is impressive and advanced for their age. An expressive young one but can have an underlying temper if they don't reach their one high self-expectations. Nonetheless, you and Malleus are always there to keep them from pushing themselves way too hard.

Third little dragon is a balanced mixed of you and Malleus this time. They share eye shapes, eyebrows, hair color, and hair texture from Malleus but eye color, lip shape, face shape, and beauty marks(if any) from you. They only exception is the horns, ears, and fangs. They share common interests with Malleus such as liking gargoyales, exploring ruins, and playing a few small stringed instruments that Malleus has taught them. They have most of your personality traits and habits as well but otherwise they do get along with Malleus the most(don't worry your kid still loves you to death!). They are kind of quiet and reserved, often keeping to themselves and only intend on exploring said interests. Out of all four kids they are definitely the most average and "normal" out of everyone.

Last but not least, this kid is a spitting image of Malleus, the same way the second one is the spitting image of you! They share Malleus's horns, ears, fangs, eye color, hair color, hair texture, eyebrows, eye color, and lip shape as him, exception of the eye shape and any beauty marks(if any) from you. The more cheerful one of the Draconias aside from the first child, they also seem to be an indecisive kid as they jump from interests to interests. They do share some traits you have as well, and they seem much more softer than their father. This kid would definitely find and settle on an interest at some point though, which would definitely be in technology surprisingly enough. They wouldn't be all huddled up in their room all the time but they know how to use it way better than Malleus does in all his years of living. I'd also like to think that in the future this kiddo would be a kind of romantic person the older they get, seeing as how Malleus has treated you with the upmost respect and love as they grew up. Which is also likely for your other children too but mostly this particular one who I believe would also enjoy/believe in the fairytales that exist in the world of Twisted Wonderland.

I recently read your post abt idia and Leona reacting to yuu being their mates, but I wanna take it a step further since I saw idias line abt the family curse (this has yandere implications so if it's not your cup of tea please feel free to just ignore, nothing is outright mentioned tho)

What if yuu has a family curse similar to the aishi family in yandere simulator? (It's been years since I touched the game so if the lore changed I'm basing it off of 2018 ish lore, just with my own twist) basically yes, yuu CAN feel emotions, they're just muted and barely there. Given the right conditions (like falling in love or spending time with friends) and/or antidepressants they'll basically be like any other person, without them it's like a less severe version of the aishi women pre-falling in love

So, afab ppl born in yuus family, once falling in love, start losing their sanities and adopt yandere like behavior (stalking, increasing rage and jealousy, willingness to murder, etc) unfortunately this means they usually die young (20s or 30s) how quickly/young they die is based on their willpower (resisting the urges) and when/if they fall in love (so someone falling in love for the first time in their 40s and having insane willpower, caving in 20 years later in their 60s has more luck than a 16 year old falling in love and caving in almost immediately). Unfortunately everyone is a carrier, men carry the gene and can pass it to their daughters, but it only presents in the women/afab ppl, so transfems won't be affected but transmascs will.

What if yuu fell in love already (in their own world) and has just been doing a really REALLY good job at Resisting The Urges™️. Like, sometimes they slip up and cave in to anger or get ridiculously jealous, but they try their hardest to tamp down the feelings. Yuu has sworn off falling in love (again) and has given up their dream of having a big family bc of the curse, they're even distancing themselves from their object of affection in an attempt to "be normal again" at the cost of their own sanity.

So yuu gets transported to twst, and without their darling, they have the chance to be normal again, assuming they can get past the initial panic frenzy. Then the soul bond is revealed and they just go "nope. Not this shit again" and spouts cryptic messages about a family curse and swearing off love. I'm pretty sure most of the boys would feel a bit hurt by that lmao

This is mostly made for idia since his segment is what sparked the idea in the first place, but which characters from most to least likely do you think would try to pursue mc and figure out the truth to leave them alone and try to move on? I personally can't see someone like kalim giving up on both but I think the octatrio would try to look for the truth but be 50/50 on pursuing yuu or dropping them like a hot potato. Idia I think would try to relate to yuu and try to pursue them, but I think he'd probably be a bit put off once yuu starts dropping hints about the curse (he's a weeb so it won't take long for him and maybe Ortho to put 2+2 together and figure out the curse)

so. uh. I got this ask when I first woke up and 1) very happy to hear from you Rose, always lovely to get a new ask and 2) yandere? sim? has lore? I did not think people actually played the game? help. i've fallen and misplaced my life alert. As a rule I don't really write for a Yuu who is just x character from y game/anime (it is in my rules) so while I was at work realizing I might be old I was trying to think of a way to do this that wasn't just yan sim (I wanted something properly gn) and I think I've got something? I am currently beating away the desire to info dump on you about the myth of Sigurd and Brunhilde (i could scream about that for hours oh god oh please i have written an actual au for that but efkjbekjrgbjrthnytrh) So here is the basic idea:

Yuu ran afoul of a witch in their world and was appropriately cursed. Given the myth I was inspired by I don't think Yuu did anything bad, but they still made the witch mad so they got cursed to lose all reason should they ever fall in love.

"You will be thine own destruction!" Cackles the witch and Yuu, who is actually normal unlike trey this person takes a deep breath and resigns themselves to researching a way to minimize the effects and maybe break it? They don't know they thought magic was fake until they thought they were just doing a favor for someone but turns out they pissed off Baba fucking Yaga.

They start to isolate themselves since they notice the curse starting to eat at them when they are around anyone the love; they consider going back to the witch and asking for further clarification but they can't seem to find them anywhere so they take some deep breaths and do their best to just be normal.

When they end up in Twisted Wonderland, and start feeling... weird. And it only gets worse when Crowley speculates that they might have been brought to Twisted Wonderland because they posses a soulbond.

And Yuu immediately freaks out because they don't want to kill anyone.

Now as for your question for who would try to pursue Yuu vs just leave them... well I don't really like writing un reciprocated feelings so I hesitate to say any of the cast would drop Yuu. In my au it isn't possible for soulbonds to not be reciprocated, and they are already sort of seen as a curse by mages so this... complication might not be normal but it isn't unexpected if that makes sense. Which would probably make Yuu swearing off love hurt even worse.

Kalim wouldn't want to abandon Yuu. Not ever, no matter how much of a danger they could be to him. Hell, he's willing to forgive people who are trying to poison him on the off chance they might regret it. But he is the heir of House Al-Asim, and I could see his dad paying someone to take Yuu out to keep his son safe. Something Jamil sees coming from a mile away and has to just keep quiet about. Something I can see Jamil feeling bad about, he might not like Kalim but you didn't ask for anything that happened to you. And yet the Asim's took your life from you anyway.

Have to disagree about the octatrio just a bit. Floyd would be into this. And so would Jade. But especially Floyd, oh hee hee ha ha his soul mate wants to kill him? Say less he is on his way to get his ass eat beat with an engagement ring in hand. Both he and Jade would be a little disappointed when the curse is broken and you aren't actively trying to kill him anymore... maybe you could try and poison him huh? Like old times?

I wrote 20 paper pages of soulbond au stuff for Azul so I will try to be brief here but... I don't think this situation would be one that made him try to break the bond. He has... complicated feelings about soulbonds already. If anything I could see him thinking he deserves this.

Now Idia. He's complicated. Pre-overblot he has given up on the concept of breaking his own curse, and I could see him feeling the same way about yours. Ortho on the other hand... even before he gets his soul he wants to help. After the overblot I can see Idia pursuing Yuu determined to find the truth and save them. Not that he wouldn't interact with them before that, he's a bit nihilistic so I can see him just making a bunch of jokes about the situation or promising to let Yuu kill him "after this next round." Or just straight up asking them to when he has to hit pity in one of his gachas. It's just cringe enough that it snaps Yuu out of the curse fog for long enough for the two of them to be normal around each other. And by normal I mean incredibly awkward

A - Affection: Jamil isn't exactly Mr. Affection. It's not like he'll NEVER be affectionate with you, he just rarely thinks to be affectionate. His parents aren't cuddly, and he rarely got any affection from anyone in his life, so, of course, he himself isn't super affectionate. However, once he gets a taste? He's hooked like it's heroin or smth. He cannot get enough of the feeling of being adored by someone.

C - Cuddles: Like I said, once he gets a taste he can't stop. Cuddles may just be his favorite type of affection. He won't ever cuddle up to you in front of others for the sake of both your reputations, but when you're alone he's always game. Any kind of cuddles too. Watching a movie, playing games, doing homework, taking a nap? He's down.

I - I love you: It takes Jamil a while to say that he loves you. He doesn't want to commit to loving someone in case you want to back out when you get a taste of the life he lives. He waits until he's sure you won't leave him behind at a moment's notice to say I love you. When he does say it, it's so soft and genuine and vulnerable it almost breaks your heart.

J - Jealous: Jamil is... an odd case? It's not like he doesn't get jealous at all, it's just only with specific people. Randoms at the college, whatever, they can do what they want they aren't worth your time. People like Leona Kalim or Malleus? He's gonna wanna raise hell. He knows that he can't provide a cushy lifestyle, so he feels threatened by the people who CAN give you that.

O - Open: Jamil is not an open person. He is so good at lying sometimes he can fool himself. Still, he does try to open up to you. He makes an effort to be vulnerable and himself, it's just hard and it comes slowly. Little by little he peels back his layers for you, and he only gets more and more comfortable opening up the longer you're together.

Q - Quizzes: Jamil knows everything about you. From your favorite color to that obscure ass tv show only you have heard of but won't stop talking about. He knows your tells of happiness and of discomfort. He knows how to calm you down when you're angry, and he knows how to cheer you up when you're sad. He prides himself on his ability to read others, and you are no exception.

R - Remember: Jamil loves the day that you both actually got together. You and he were having another "tutoring" session where you both laughed and joked around instead of studying. You'd been talking for weeks and toeing the line between love and friendship. You were the one who took the big step, asking him what you were to him, and he answered "Someone I'd like to spend a long time with."

X - Xtra: Jamil is really amazing at doing his own hair. He can put it in a million different fancy ass styles, and sit there patiently for hours as he winds intricate braids into it. When it comes to other people's hair though? He sucks. He cannot for the life of him apply the skills for his hair on other people. The first time he tried with Najma was the last time he was allowed to touch her head. He could learn if he really needed to, it's just not as simple with another person's head.

C - Cuddles: Idia LOVES cuddles, but you didn't hear that from him. He's pretty touch-adverse for a long while into your relationship, but eventually, he starts warming up to physical affection. Once he does, he really can't stop himself. He loves the feeling of you pressed up close to him, and how safe you are with him wrapped around you. (and vice-versa).

I - I love you: Idia won't say it first. There's just no way you get it out of him. He's too nervous he's gonna overstep a boundary, so even if he really wants to, his pretty little lips are sealed. When you do say it though, he is so relieved. Seriously, he was starting to worry he was the only one who felt that way.

R - Remember: Idia's favorite memory isn't anything special, at least in his mind. The day he realized that he loved you, is probably his favorite day ever. You were sitting on his lap trying to beat this boss for the millionth time, and you were getting really pissed. Idia said he could do it for you, but you were so damn determined. When you finally did beat it, you jumped up and pranced around his room like it was the biggest achievement in the world. From how happy you looked, it must've been to you, and Idia realized that he wanted to see you happy like that forever. He realized that he loved your smile and that -- oh sevens, he loves you.

X - Xtra: So, we know that Idia's hair changes color based on emotion and stuff, but there's no way that's all it can do. You can touch it when it's just the regular firey blue, that doesn't hurt, but when it flares up in anger the room he's in becomes a sauna. Do not touch it, it will give you a huge burn and Idia will be left feeling awful for weeks after. When it's pinkish, it emits this soft warm heat that's pleasant. Like a campfire. You've asked to roast marshmallows over it, and Idia replied with utmost confidence, "It doesn't work :("

okay let me ramble here because i need to be a nerd about scarabia for a minute-

as an egyptian, im naturally gonna be very biased (and excited) when seeing characters with arabian origins because a) it pulls out my scrutinizing side in seeing whether or not the creator of said character did their homework on the cultures and nuances and b) it makes it easier for me to relate to said character, making me love them even more!!

so i wanna talk about kalim and jamil for a quick second!!

here im actually gonna focus on their names! i love their names a whole lot, because,

🌺 while jamil [jah-meel] ((the "a" in Jah is pronounced like the "a" in cat)) is a pretty generic name when it comes to media diversity, it's still a very nice and "refreshing" name, as i call it. also, it's the masculine adjective of "pretty/handsome/nice" and.... they're not wrong lol

🌺 as for kalim al-asim, his name is actually quite interesting! firstly, kalim [kah-leem] ((same withe the "a" as jamil)) means "speaker/interlocutor" in the arabic hyperbolic verb-adjective system— as in, when someone does [verb] a lot or is described to be excessively/wholly [adjective]. (although that isn't to say the verb or adjective, in the sense of "excessive" is bad! i.e the person could be (excessively/wholly) a liar "kaddhaab" OR (excessively/wholly) generous "kareem") so I feel like that fits his character a whole lot, actually. very bubbly and sociable!

🌺 the second half of his name, al-asim, is also very interesting. in the game, there's a little bit of misinformation on what "al" in an arabic name would mean. in the game it's explained that "al" would mean "son of" or "of the family" which... isn't really true, actually. instead, when wanting to refer to someone as "son of" you would say "bin" or "ibn"— kalim bin asim. also, that is to say, it's kind of an old system of naming, but scarabia is inspired by the ye-olde vibes of arabia in aladdin, so it's fine lol

🌺 so then, the "al" in his name, in this sense, is actually something a lot simpler! "al" in arabic is like the prefix "the"! So for example, someone could be named mohamed al-sayyaad —> mohamed the sayyaad (meaning mohamed the fisherman!) in which case, it can be used as an overall family name, but it doesn't really mean "of the family sayyaad".

nowww, when seeing what the adjective "asim" means, it has me scratching my head a bit because his name could actually have three possible meanings! :0

when أسيم is broken down to its fundamental components, it gives several meanings, notably; "goes on to order something" (which fits very, very well)

OR: "directs his sight/gaze to..." (which... also fits.....given jamil's signature magic 👀)

it can also be interpreted as someone who has authority.

🌺✨ a second meaning for [ah-seem]/[qah-seem]:((قسيم)) in this case, the "a" in "qah" would be like the "a" in water. also, if you're wondering about the "q" I'm just writing it in the exact way it would be written and pronounced in proper arabic if it were to BE that word/meaning specifically, as i know in-game his name is written as "Asim"... but to clarify, in egyptian arabic it's not necessary to pronounce the "q" when it's at the beginning of a word or name, so we just pronounce it as "a".... again, I'm writing this in my perspective, an egyptian :)

which means, literally, "the share"... why i feel like this interpretation is especially significant, though, is because "the share" here, in arabic, would actually refer to someone's destiny or fortune!

in this case, that the destiny of kalim and jamil is master to his servant, respectively, vice versa.... in that, that was how their fortune played out; that was what destiny has written for them in terms of their relationship— something that jamil can do nothing about, the hopelessness of it leaving him to harbor resentment for his inability to change his own fate. which, as we saw in book 4.... 👀 (this one is just SO. GOOD. OOF.)

🌺✨ and lastly asim as in [aah-sim]/[qaah/sim] : قاسم

which, in the case of (قاسم) would mean distributor/divider literally, and more specifically, someone who gives, who is able to share. and given kalim's overly generous personality and tendencies, it's very much fitting!
