Tim has moments of trauma flashbacks where he reverts back into Joker Junior. 

Just starts laughing uncontrollably, eyes glassy, dissociating and in a constant state of smiling creepily, flinching at every loud noise, and cheering when bad things happen. 

The only thing that calms him in times like these is being hugged/cradled/soothed by Bruce or Babs. Others have tried, but their touch doesn't work. 

He just sits in their lap as they work, rubbing his back and whispering words of comfort, until his laughing turns into sobs and he just fully collapses against them as they just hold him, rocking back and forth and whispering that he’s safe now, that they’ve got him. 

When the tears run out and he’s wrung dry, he’ll slip away, head to his room and try to forget. They don’t follow. They want to, but they don't. 

They don't talk about it, but maybe a new gadget or piece of tech, or improved device or nuclear codes will be waiting for them on their desk the next day, 

Or maybe Tim will brew one of his special, extra strong cups of coffee for them after a particularly long patrol.

Bruce is working at the McDonalds in the Wayne Enterprises cafeteria as he’s trying to uncover corruption.

Tim is working at the Taco Bell because the show Undercover Boss sounded fun

Babs is pretending to work at Panda Express in order to access their cameras because SOMEHOW the fucking Panda Express has the only camera in all of Wayne Enterprises that she cant access

Jason is working at the Starbucks because he’s trying to poach employees from Bruce, but doesnt want to do any actual business stuff.

Steph is working in the Waffle House because it was too on brand for her to not take the job when offered.

Duke is working at the Burger King because this is literally just his job.

Damian (and Jon stacked on top of Damian to make them seem like adults) is working in the Popeyes as Dick hopes this will make him connect with people more (it will not).

Dick is working at the Smoothie King because he honestly just got lost and this is more fun than his real job.

Cass stole uniforms from every single restaurant in the cafeteria and is pretending to work at all of them. She hasnt been reported yet because the workers dont care and no one can find the boss (rip tim)

None of them have noticed.

Tim: exactly, the most expressive and normal one of our colony are the Batgirls… and that’s saying something

Batman regularly conducts performance evaluations/reviews for all the justice league members on an annual basis

Someone in the league, probably Hal or Barry, brings up how unfair it is that none of the robins have to go through it, when it's the most daunting thing ever. So now, the batkids have to go through mandatory performance reviews too

Bruce: The audit team says the budget this time was way higher than the last?

Tim, who's laundering an entire batmobile: We just needed extra snacks to feed the bats in the cave

Bruce: They suddenly needed more food?

Tim: Actually the previous bats all adopted new baby bats. Cause they're all like you, you know?

Bruce, trying not to cry: okay

Halloween AU!!!

hey so. i put SOOOOO much effort into this au and for what? at least it ended up looking cool? anyways Halloween is my favorite holiday and i just HAD to make something for them!

i had a LOT of ideas for what everyone would be, but i really wanted to stick to a certain theme cause it's based around Halloween. i knew i had to have a vampire, werewolf, and a witch. cause like... obviously. iconic Halloween stuff!! but i took some liberties with everyone else and i think they turned out pretty cool!!

Jason was originally a fox shifter (which i still love and might draw art for some day) but i went with a bear in the end. is that because i thought about tiny bear cub Jaybin and wanted to cry? yeah. yeah it is. i KNEW Steph was going to be my werewolf though i started doubting myself when i went to draw her. turned out to be my favorite drawing on here which makes sense cause she is my light my love my daughter my will to live and all that jazz

Tim was actually gonna be a harpy but thank god i didn't go for that in the end. Duke was the one that was a bitch and a half trying to figure out BUT!! comments on the post asking what y'all thought led me towards Psychic so THANK YOUUUU everybody that commented!! (specifically those who thought of ghost!! Duke and Tim ended up being a perfect duo in this au)

Babs was pretty easy to figure out what I wanted for her. I read somewhere that they are seen as protectors of forests/ are considered spiritual authority figures and also.... she looks cool as fuck. Did not expect how easy it was to find a ref for a deer in a wheelchair though? I can never find the right hand or face angle reference but that was super easy???

For Bruce there was literally no question he HAD to be human. it's literally so funny that everyone who knows Batman thinks he's a spooky vampire but he's human. his first son, however?????? THAT'S the vampire. I knew Dick had to be a vampire too. A little nod towards that one comic run but in my au nothing bad happens ever 🥰 Damian also being a bat shifter is very on purpose because how funny is it that he's a bat man. Literally not a single person in the League thinks that Bruce is telling the truth about being human. Bruce you are NOT beating the secretly a vampire allegations.

Alfred is actually a demon. I CAN NOT remember who made this post so if someone can help me find it, it would be appreciated!! because this was inspired by them!!! but somewhere i saw someone talk about Alfred being a demon that Thomas and Martha made a deal with (i think it was for an au idea?) and I just HAD to put it here. Alfred looks so human and everyone expects it, but he's definitely not. I put the ??? because it's so fucking funny. see if you can spot the 1 hint i put on his drawing that something is amiss!!

Peter is from an alternate dimension still, but it is not a world of creatures like him, it's just the same as LoF canon except Peter grew some extra limbs and eyes. He finds that it's actually pretty easy to fit in with the Waynes. Hard to feel like a freak when a guy can turn into a fucking bear, or your dad is a vampire, and the teenagers in the family are trying to summon ghosts or make potions.

What is Bruce’s love language?

Dick thinks its words of affirmation, because when he first arrived Bruce still worked like that, he knew the balance between critical and kind. He could still speak and not be petrified it would be the wrong words, that it’d drive him away. He doesn't know that ever since a little circus boy tumbled into his life, it’s been touch. Because Bruce couldn’t not hug this little boy, couldn’t not lift him into his arms when he asked, couldn’t not let himself be used as a springboard for all his circus tricks. 

Jason thinks its gifts. Because that was how they first connected, how they first met. Bruce gave Jason his first ever unconditional food, unconditional toys, unconditional love. He doesn't know that ever since a little street rat tumbled into his life it’s been quality time, just being around Jason was enough for him. He didn't need money, or Batman, or things. He just wants his son’s time. 

Tim thinks its work. Because that was what he knew, that was what they knew, working in compatible silence, day by day, passing tools and equipment and cases back and forth like little assembly line workers. He doesn't know that ever since a too small for his age little stalker tumbled into his life its been acts of service. Because Bruce could never find the words to tell Tim he was permanent, that he chose him, that he loved him, so he replaced the words with actions, because actions have always spoken louder than words, and he bought him his skateboard, and cameras, and built gadgets for him, and hoped it was enough. 

Steph thinks its touch. Not because he ever touched her. But because she was always observant like that, and noticed how he had always touched the others. Tim. She doesn't know that ever since a loud rebellious little girl tumbled into his life it’s been gifts, because he couldn't speak. But he could make her a Robin suit that fit her, and he could slip tiny trinkets into her pockets, and leave case files for her to complete on her own when she left him. 

Damian thinks its quality time, because Bruce tries to be there for his son, even if he’s not good enough. Even if he’s a lousy conversationalist. He still wants to be around his boy. He doesn't know that ever since a bloody assassin baby tumbled into his life it’s been words of affirmation, because Damian needed a father, for once one of his children needed him, and he needed to learn how to live, how to know when he was doing things right, and not just wrong. 

They all think his love language is something else, but Bruce doesn't mind. Not so long as they believe he loves them. Not so long as they know.
