My favorite thing about this is incorporating the handkerchief in fics and having Rollo using it as a barrier of sorts when he kisses you for the first time. <3 bare lips touching is too much for him!!!! • Riddles own household situation was AWFUL; so he wants the complete opposite for you! He won’t allow you to be reckless, but he won’t allow the house to feel strain or unwelcoming. So he gets you to help him loosen up a bit!

• He is NOT doing the cooking on his own. Get him a cookbook or help him with it lol, he won’t get cooking on his own. But it’s a cute learning experience + bonding time for you both

• Riddle unfortunately will not cuddle you in bed , which sucks since he’s a heater on his own. His skin is always warm, so if you want to cuddle him, just hold him

• Strict bedtime schedule for him. You can go to bed and wake up anytime but he’s in bed by 9:30pm and awake by 6:30am

• HE HAS A GARDEN GOING! He plants a rose field in your backyard along with some strawberries. It’s a red row outside. Beautiful though

• You don’t even have to worry about the bathroom tbh, Riddle doesn’t spend a lot of time on his appearance. He spends enough that he looks refined, but it’s not overdone either

• He actually found a struggle in picking a place aha, money wasn’t the problem he just overthought every aspect of the home. Whether or not you’d be comfortable, how much space would it be, the conditions. So you did help with the picking lol

• This is his first time actually losing contact with his mother, which is a larger step than you may think. But he’s okay with it since he’s doing it alongside you, and he’s so, so much happier since his everyday starts and ends with you

✎ ACE TRAPPOLA

• Ace is ecstatic to finally be moving in with you. He’s excited to finally take this big step into each others lives. Though he may not show it, he’s also pretty nervous. He doesn’t want you to get sick of him…

• God give you patience because you’ll need it. This man will test a tiny bit every day

• Ace isn’t very accustomed to household chores lol, so you may need to do some heavy lifting. He will do the dishes though

• I can see you two having smaller meals rather then larger ones, just smaller quick heat-up meals, unless your a huge cooker, then he’s not complaining

• He’s fucking NERVOUS when you two agree to sleep on the same bed, he’ll tease you while his brain runs miles on whether or not he snores or kicks in his sleep

• Everyday is pretty fun and chill with him, whether it’s just casually throwing pillows at one another; random hugs in the hallway, or just chilling on the couch watching movies.

• I can see Ace as a kid who sleeps with a light on 😭 so expect a little night light next to his side of the bed when falling asleep.

• Ace will mistake your clothing with his, and no he does not care. His clothes are yours, so yours are his. A fair deal, no?

• On the earlier days of the move in, Ace wanted to be seen as a reliable significant other, and would often do grand domestic gestures akin to one’s in books or movies. Later on though he’s chilled and it’s like living with a roommate.

• ITS A FIGHT FOR THE SHOWER, he’d spend an hour in the shower, and two in the bath. Bro takes FOREVER just to never brush his hair

• Ace is more of a roommate than a househusband, he can be annoying or caring. It really depends on the day haha.

✎ DEUCE SPADE

• He’s scared shitless. He’s making a huge step in his life moving in with you! It’s the first time he’s moving out of his moms home, and he’s worried moving in together will cause a small strain and lead to arguments

• All his worrying was for naught though, as once you two move in together it’s literally a cute slice of life perfect movie

• Deuce is either able to cook a good meal, or he burns down the kitchen. He can make smaller meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But larger meals is something he should get help on

• Speaking of meals he ensures you eat all three meals a day! It’s good for you, and if you’re not hungry he’ll mix up a fruit bowl or something small like that for you to munch on.

• It’s either shocking or not that his favourite thing of home life to do with you is shop. It’s kind of weird, but the process of creating a shopping list, planning meals, then going out and buying the groceries before helping carry them in just make his heart flutter. He’s helping you, and in a way it solidifies that you both are in each others lives.

• He may develop insomnia because he gets so nervous sleeping next to you! It takes a while before he grows accustomed to your presence. It’s not your fault, he’s just a nervous wreck.

• He FaceTime's his mom every week to check up on her 🥹 sometimes you’ll be next to him and she’ll talk to you asking for an honest answer on how Deuce has been holding up. It’s an adorable family situation. You guys aren’t even married but it feels like she’s your mama too.

• He wants to adopt a pet with you, doesn’t  matter what kind. I can see Deuce as a huge family oriented guy, so a small cat or dog (or something else if you’re allergic) to take care of together would make him super happy!

• He’ll probably do most of the driving around unless you enjoy it. He likes driving you around in a car, or he’ll take you out for a night drive on his magi-wheel after dinner

• He takes a lot of time in the morning to get his makeup perfect, and to straighten his hair haha

✎ CATER DIAMOND

• HE WAS SO EXCITED TO MOVE IN WITH YOU! Big step who? He only knows excitement!

• Through this you see all sides of Cater. He can’t bare to keep up his always smiles at home, so while at home you’ll see him be much more relaxed and quiet. He doesn’t keep to himself, but he isn’t as bright as he seems to be on average.

• He admits that he loves the concept of being in each others lives like this, making a permanent mark on each others everyday.

• He isn’t a huge eater, so you really don’t need to make lunch or even sometimes breakfasts for him.

• He makes daily posts on Magicam and Twstter about some things of your day to day, whether it’s a meal you make, just cuddling or funny stories you can expect an update on living from cay-cay everyday!

• He takes at least 10 photos everyday, you know those moms who take a photo of you every second? He’s like that, he adores memories. He has his own little album under the bed he sometimes looks through..

• He's HUGEEE on décor, so expect him to do most of the furnishing and going furniture shopping with you once you two buy a house! He loves it.

• The communication with the bathroom is actually pretty good, you both have a schedule for who will shower when, and you both do your makeup and hair together <3

• When in bed, he’ll wrap his legs and entangle them with yours! He likes feeling connected to you (if you’re uncomfortable with that, he may also hold your hand!)

• He takes you out on a date at least once every two weeks! Whether it’s in the home, or out for dinner he ensures to treat you and make you feel loved.

• Cater organizes your outfits for the day sometimes!! He’ll make you both some matching outfit plans sometimes, or he’ll spend the night before setting up outfits for the next day, going through the closets and working with you.

• He enjoys being able to relax and settle down with you in the comfort of the home, with a blanket over him not needing to worry about the stress of being unliked or ruining the mood. Simply enjoying each other.

• You’d think you were living together for years by how perfect everything seems with him??

• He’s got the house all cleaned, and knows how to keep it that way, he has a schedule already set for you and him. HES GOT EVERYTHING !!

• As you should expect, he does most of the cooking, he likes having decent size meals, normally two food to each dinner (a side dish and main). He also always has dessert for you both ready! He bakes during the day sometimes when neither of you are working!

• Definitely tries to ensure if you have unhealthy habits you get them on the healthier side. Like poor eating habits and insomnia he tries to help best he can.

• Run for the hills, he’ll ensure you spend ten minutes brushing your teeth every morning and night. He never stops, he’ll spend 30 minutes in the bathroom just brushing his teeth istg

• Trey probably wakes up 7:30 sharp or something like that. So rip your ears if you don’t like alarms

• Househusband for real, he’ll do the chores around the house though sometimes you guys set a plan on who will do what

• He’s very schedule oriented, he has a day plan for everyday lol

• He’ll do the grocery shopping for you! But sometimes you have to go with him to ensure he doesn’t overspend on baking ingredients haha!

• Trey isn’t a huge cuddler but he will wrap his arms around you sometimes! Or he’ll touch skin with you

GN reader who’s artistically trained. The boys catch you immersed in your craft, whether that craft is painting, cooking or dancing…

Heartslabyul:

Painting the rose garden on canvas. It was the perfect afternoon. Classes were still in session except for yours; Crewel had let your class out early when someone’s potion exploded. You got off unscathed, so you wandered into Hesrtslabyul’s rose garden with your art supplies, fully intending to paint a portrait of Grim but with the lovely ambiance as background, when a lone rose bush caught your eye. You immediately sat down adjacent to it and set up your canvas, mapping out all of its details. You had completed a couple roses so far and were fully immersed in your craft, not realizing classes had let out, when you heard a voice behind you…

“My, what do we have here?” Riddle stood behind you. You gasped, nearly dropping your brush. Riddle stood over your work, looking impressed. “I had no idea you were so talented. The shade of red translates perfectly from real life to canvas. I might like one of my own, do you take commissions?” You nod, smiling. Riddle explains he would love a painting to capture the unbirthday parties he hosts. “You don’t have to draw all the guests, but the decorations and the rose garden would be lovely. Of course, if you don’t mind.”

Savanaclaw:

Gymnastics. It’s a sport, yes, but it’s also an art in its own right. It’s something you grew up with, so it’s something you go back to when you have a bad day. Tumbling is a fantastic workout, and rhythmic gymnastics with music in the background always fills your soul. You were perfecting some of your favorite tumbling passes in an extra room of the Savanaclaw Magift Stadium. You added in some elegant twists and turns, alongside the back-handsprings and front-flips. You finally landed a pass you liked, and were only interrupted when they said…

“Oi, herbivore. What are you up to?” Leona was leaning against the doorway, looking sleepy. You give a light chuckle and explain that you were tumbling. Leona raises an eyebrow; “I didn’t know you could do that.” You nod, explaining that you put years of practice into it, and that you do it when you’re stressed. It’s better to keep up the craft. Leona smirks and then stifles a bit of a yawn; “You woke me up from my nap, but what you’re doing is vaguely interesting. I wouldn’t mind watching for a bit. Go on, impress me.”

Octavinelle:

Singing. It was past closing time in the Mostro lounge, and you were helping Azul clean up. Azul, Jade and Floyd were locked in Azul’s office, and you had taken to wiping down the tables. You began to hum as you worked. Your humming became slightly louder, your voice echoing off the walls of the empty room. Enjoying the sound of your vibrato in the room, you add lyrics in; now singing at a decent volume. You were exclusively focused on your vowel shapes and your work on the tables until you heard someone clear their throat behind you, making your song come to an abrupt halt…

“Well, this is quite the surprise.” Azul was standing a ways away from you, smiling big. You thank him, feeling the heat rise in your cheeks a bit. “I didn’t know you could sing so well. You’re clearly trained.” Azul steps up closer to you and adjusts his glasses. You nod, explaining that you had had lessons in the past, and that it’s something you’ve practiced for many years. His face lights up so fast and so bright when he hears that, you can practically see the Madol-signs swimming in his eyes. “You know, I would love to have you perform here at the Mostro Lounge. May we make a deal?”

Scarabia:

Cooking. You had helped Jamil bring supplies to the kitchen while he was off tutoring Kalim. While you were there, you noticed the perfect set of ingredients to make your favorite dish. It was a quicker one, but flavorful nonetheless. You get to the prep work, chopping the vegetables with ease using your perfected knife skills. You heat up the pan and toss the veggies in, sautéing them with a plethora of spices. The alluring smell of the aromatics must have drawn someone in, because they startled you when they said…

“It smells soooo good in here!” You whirl around, cooking spoon still in hand, and greet Kalim’s massive smile. You thank him enthusiastically, matching his energy. “What are you making?” He steps up to peer into your pan. You explain what you’re making, and that it’s your favorite; “I could make enough for multiple people, if you’re interested.” Kalim’s eyes light up. “That would be awesome! I can have Jamil poison test it, even though I know you won’t do anything to hurt me. He can have some too!” You chuckle lightly, thinking about Jamil’s distaste for Kalim enjoying cooking other than his own. “I’ll have to go fetch him! And thank you for cooking! I can’t wait to try it!”

Pomefiore:

Dancing. It was early in the morning, and you were alone in Pomefiore’s ballroom. You couldn’t decide what to do for your workout, so you threw in your earbuds and put on some music to dance to. It was a bit early for more energetic dances, so you put on a playlist of any song with 3 beats per measure, and you began waltzing. Well, sort of. It was your own version of a waltz, with a lot of ballet influence. It was very free flowing and it spanned the entire room. Jumps, spins, dips…whatever your heart desired in the moment. You hadn’t performed in years, but your body still knew how to glide over the floor. You danced your heart out for some time, until you saw a figure standing in the doorway from the corner of your eye…

“My my, I didn’t know you could dance like that.” You stop dancing abruptly, dropping your arms to face the man in the doorway. Vil stands there, smiling as he speaks. Facing him entirely, you shut your music off, returning his glowing smile and accept his praises with ease. “If only Epel could move like you do…” he sighs, entering the room. You give a polite chuckle; “I’ve been doing this for years, so…” Vil scoffs lightly and clicks his tongue as you apparently state the obvious. “I can see that. What other styles of dance do you know?” he inquires. As you go through the styles you know, he steps up and takes your hand; “will you dance with me? I’ve been looking for a dance partner, and you seem to be the perfect fit.”

Ignihyde:

Animation. You were huddled in Ignihyde’s lounge, staring daggers at your device. You had worked on this animation for about a month now, but something wasn’t adding up. You gripped your drawing pencil in between your teeth as you stared at the animation, slowing it frame by frame. You flipped the canvas back and forth, and then you caught it. The blinking was uneven and unrealistic. You announced your victory with a little excited screech, which must have tipped them off…

“Animating again? For that new game series?” You look up from your device to see Idia standing above you. “Can I see?” You nod and play the animation. Idia’s eyes instantly light up. “Wow, talk about some S-tier stuff!” You smile and thank him. He asks you to play the animation again and again, seemingly analyzing each frame. “I’ll have to show Ortho! He’ll love it! If…if that’s okay with you?” His excited confidence falters a tad, but he regains it when you smile; “I would love to show him! You’ll have to call him over!” He grins, appreciating your acceptance. “You’re so lucky you’ve been working on that project! I can’t wait to play it when it’s done!”

Diasomnia:

Playing a classical instrument. This was your escape. You love what you do, and every time you find yourself completely lost in the music. The rooms in Diasomnia are lovely in terms of echoing acoustics. Not so great for practicing and being critically aware of your raw sound, but great for an ego boost. Today, you had decided to pull out a piece by Clara Schumann. One you hadn’t played in a while. Midway through, the tempo changed; adagio, it said, and you fluttered your eyes closed. Your fingers remembered the section well, and they took over while your eyes were closed. Your passionate playing echoed off the walls until you heard the door open loudly…

“I haven’t heard that piece in years.” Malleus’s shadow stood in the doorway, a faint smile on his face. He sounded quite nostalgic when he spoke, and he spoke slowly; “Schumann, huh?” You nod, confirming his guess. He enters the room silently, and steps closer to look at the music. “You have good taste,” he eventually says, reading the music silently to himself. You smile, and thank him. “We should play a duet sometime,” you offer. His face lights up at the request, and he accepts graciously; “I would love to hear your music blend with mine.”

baby daddy odasaku ! who is the definition of a perfect husband and father-to-be. calmly holding back your hair as you puke your guts out at four in the morning. cooking all your cravings (perfectly) and feeding it to you. reassuring you that you were the most beautiful woman in the world and that a bit of weight gain from his child wouldn’t change anything.

baby daddy odasaku ! who totally does one of those belly casting kits for when your stomach starts to swell. smoothing the strips over your stomach and occasionally patting it. expect the orphans to paint on the casting (he made two—a blank slate and a casting for the kids to paint and gift to you).

baby daddy odasaku ! who (with your permission) tells Dazai and Ango one night at Bar Lupin that he’ll be a father soon. Dazai asks to be the godfather of which he declines. Dazai’s a child himself, after all. Ango merely offers his thanks and support for you two. he doesn’t drink as much anymore, too.

baby daddy odasaku ! who holds you on the days where everything feels like shit. the curtains drawn, the air conditioning on and his sturdy arms wrapped around you as you cry into his chest. those days are the ones where he takes the next day off to make sure you’re okay and feel loved by him. he’s read about the mood swings and insecurities that pregnancy has.

baby daddy odasaku ! who paints an entire nursery for the newborn. a light yellow is chosen for the walls. stuffed toys (gifted from Ango) are neatly placed in the crib. the whole house is baby proofed, too. he isn’t taking your newfound family lightly.

baby daddy odasaku ! who cradles your sleeping daughter to his chest after she finally falls asleep. while she snuggles into his chest, he’s sat at his desk, supporting her tiny head carefully as he revises a draft of a story he wrote about a woman that oddly resembles you. it’s expected though. you’re his muse. the one who gave him his daughter. he just hopes to finish the story as a gift for you.

baby daddy odasaku ! who relishes in his new life. escaping from the mafia wasn’t easy—thank god for his friends’ help—but it was worth it. for you and his daughter.

Rather than the special pieces she worked hard on, saved all of her money for, these simple pieces aren't her ideal. Despite that, she wants to let them know they were thought of, no one left out.

author note: i'm finally baaaack! it feels so good to finally write again, and for all the characters no less! it was fun to think of how each of them would react to receiving a chocolate, especially in this circumstance! I've never written for someone's OC before, so I hope I did your character justice, ✨️ Anon! I hope you like it! I think Yuuna did a great job with the chocolate, all things considered! ☆ ～('▽^人)

“GRIM!!”

You had meticulously budgeted over the last couple of months to make sure you had enough money to buy ingredients. The cooking facilities in Ramshackle were certainly far from the best, but you had worked hard to perfect the recipe, and then worked harder still to make personalised chocolates for everyone. All of that hard work, dashed because of your rowdy roommate couldn’t keep his paws to himself.

“What’s the big deal?! I’m the only one you should be making chocolate for anyways.” Grim pouted, seemingly completely unrepentant of his actions as you fanned the residual smoke away with a towel, all the rickety windows opened wide in an attempt to air out the room so you could properly survey the damage. Your heart sank when you saw that more than three quarters of the chocolates had been charred black.

“These were for everyone, Grim, but now you’ve ruined everything!” You spat, your anger flaring as you approached the trays of chocolate, picking through the ruins to see if there was any that could be saved. Grim bristled defensively at your words, the cold shoulder he received from you as you busied yourself searching through the charred remains of his jealous outburst causing him to scuttle out of the kitchen in tantrum.

You sighed as you looked down at the plate of chocolates that you had managed to salvage. After a count, you realised that you had just enough chocolate… Grabbing the decorative pouches you had prepared for the chocolates, you quickly packed them in, one chocolate each, worried that Grim might come back to finish the job out of petty spite. With a heavy sigh and feeling very disheartened, you left Ramshackle to deliver the remains of your chocolate…

Heartslabyul

Riddle

He thinks you are here to visit Ace and Deuce but will blush when you deliver him the chocolate.

He’ll play it off that he’s angry at Grim for destroying your hard work if you tell him what happened.

It’ll be off with Grim’s head for sure.

Your chocolate for him is shaped like a rose.

He’s reluctant to eat it because it’s a gift from you but would eat it during one of his scheduled tea times (as long as it doesn’t break any rules)

He’ll tell you how good it tastes and encourage you to continue baking!

Ace

Ngl he would totally laugh at the melted chocolate then feel bad when he realises how upset you are about it.

(He will laugh even more if Deuce’s chocolate is more melted than his)

Eats it right then and there, no fanfare, just shoves it straight in his mouth.

Tells you it tastes good but that you could improve, but that’s just his way of trying to get you to make him more chocolates.

Your chocolate for him is shaped like his card soldier assignment.

He, ofc, did not notice and regrets that when he realises (because of Deuce) that the chocolates were themed.

Now he’ll definitely pester you to make him more.

Deuce

Treats the chocolate like it’s the most precious thing he’s ever received.

Literally almost beats up Ace when he laughs at how melted it is, honestly you have to calm him down and restore order before they both get collared by Riddle.

Your chocolate for him is also his card soldier assignment and unlike Ace, he notices right away and his cheeks got a little pink at the attention to detail.

He does not eat it. He can’t bring himself to, he likes it so much. In fact, he likes it so much that he carries it around in his pocket all the time like some lucky charm.

That, ofc, results in it getting crushed in his pocket eventually. Deuce is inconsolable when he realises, but then he eats it, albeit feeling a little glum at the loss.

Please make him more choco. If anyone in this forsaken college deserves more chocolate, its Deuce.

Cater

Magicams the whole experience.

No but fr, he’s surprised and touched that you thought of him, and that just makes him start to feel awkward, so he overcompensates with the Magicamming.

Your chocolate for him is a diamond.

Makes you take a selfie with him with the chocolate ofc.

He eats it, even though he doesn’t like sweet things.

Suggests that you and Trey do a collab and ofc that he’d Magicam the entire experience. It would go viral, after all!

Trey

He’s touched.

Definitely one of the more judgmental chocolate eaters, but he won’t say anything about the taste, especially if he knows what Grim did.

Definitely offers you future use of the Heartlabyul kitchen if you want to do any more baking in peace.

Offers his assistance too if you want to try baking anything out of your current experience level.

He thinks that detail is particularly cute and jokes whether he should keep it and see if it brings him any luck.

He’s smarter than Deuce though so he will eat it and not actually carry it around with him.

That doesn’t mean he’s not going to accept it though, and he’s actually pretty smug about it.

He’ll definitely give you that infuriating little smug smile that he does.

(He’s mean so he’ll call you uncreative for that ;-; he doesn’t mean it though he’s just grumpy)

Will definitely think of some petty way to get back at Grim if he finds out that he is the reason that he only got one chocolate.

His tail is definitely going to wag. He’ll pretend that is totally not happening, and will deny it if you point it out.

Your chocolate for him is shaped like a cactus.

He tries his best to act cool and collected but in reality his heart is thumping and his cheeks have turned pink.

Will tell you that there was no need for you to have gone out of your way to make chocolate for him.

He’s grateful for it though, no one other than his kid sister has given him chocolate before.

The fact that its shaped like a little cactus makes him feel a little giddy too, a sign that you take an interest in his hobbies.

Would feel bad about ribbing you over it if you told him what Grim did to the chocolates, also would internally agonise that if it wasn’t for that furball, he’d be getting more chocolate.

Absolutely cannot handle the fact that you’re giving this to him out of the kindness of your heart. His cheeks grow hot and his hands clammy, his cool, collected business façade slipping as he dithers over how to accept this.

Hey! I was wondering how animal linguistics works— is it technically a form of magic, or is it something that even our magicless prefect could learn?

Hello hello! Thank you for this question, it led to many interesting places!

It might not technically be stated anywhere that animal linguistics requires magical proficiency, but as NRC is a magic school it seems like the two would be related. But we also don't really know that every single class at NRC is magic based--there are cooking classes, for example, where magic seems to only rarely come up.

I gathered together some of what it is that we have seen of animal linguistics in the game to see what it is we know:

Jack has said that he is poor at animal linguistics, citing the fact that he is still a first-year student: "I know a few words in wolf, but other animals? Forget about it."

Rook, Leona and Azul might be skilled at it, but in Azul's case it may have been an ability that he acquired via a contract that he lost in Book 3 (this is unconfirmed).

It is Ruggie's best subject (as well as Grim's, with Grim capable of understanding Stitch during "Lost in the Book"), and neither student seems to be particularly adept at magic, from what we have been told.

Ruggie calls himself a "middling mage" while Idia says that Grim is as "lackluster with magic as he looks," which seems like a decent argument in favor of animal-linguistics-talent being independent of the strength of one's magic. But this doesn't technically mean that someone with no magic at all would be capable of learning it.

Jade has a comment about potionology that seems to relate to this topic, saying, "When it comes to potions, intelligence trumps magical power. That makes it the perfect subject for you, yes?" insinuating that the potionology might not require magic, and Riddle says that "The freshmen curriculum is more focused on magical theory than practice" (thank you @enderfore and @been-taking-muay-thai-classes!) so it seems the school does have classes that do not require magic, it may be possible that Animal Linguistics is one of them! :> And this opens the door to a lot of possibilities!

Do magicless schools in the Twst universe also offer animal linguistics and/or potionology classes? Or are they considered arcane subjects, even if magic is not technically required to study them? Is talking to animals no different from speaking a foreign language in this universe?

And then there is Silver!

While I'm not sure if it has been confirmed that Silver understands what animals are saying, they seem to understand him--possibly without the use of a foreign language, like we see Rook teach to Ace?

Could Silver have been born with this ability, or did it come from his childhood growing up in the forest, making him a polyglot?

Rook's comment on mole language being understood by hedgehogs seems to insinuate that "animal linguistics" is something of a blanket term to describe a variety of languages that might vary by species, yet Silver seems to talks to many different animals at once in one language that is also being understood by Kalim and Jamil, rather than speaking in a foreign language like Rook does.

And Rook and Silver aren't the only characters who use light-magic during battles and have also been shown possessing inter-species communication abilities (credit for this discovery to this twitter user):

Kalim says that he is "great with animals," with Jamil confirming that he has had empathy for animals since he was a child.

In a vignette Kalim seems to be corralling a menagerie of different animals together by himself, but it is revealed that Jamil is talking to the animals in the background, so we cannot be sure how successful Kalim would have been on his own.

I am not sure there has ever really been any commentary on Kalim's magical abilities (unlike what we have heard about Ruggie and Grim), though we have been told that he is a poor student, so maybe his ability to commune with animals is being bolstered by his magic and/or natural talents?

There are far more questions to be had than answers, but it is so interesting to think about! :> Thank you again!

when he first came to you with a bracelet in hand, he was certain you would like it. it's simple and lightweight, gold looks good on anyone > and he asked lilia's opinion.

what he did't expect was to find you looking up at him awkwardly— eyes darting side to side like you don't know what to say.

eventually, after the tense moment of hesitation— you politely reject his gift.

he's confused at first, but he brushes it off and concludes that maybe you just didn't like such an expensive gift.

but when comes back to you multiple times to give you more— the answer is the same.

dragon boy is taking this super hard. do you not want to be around him anymore? or are you one of those people who feel like they "don't deserve" good things?

and then he sees one of your first-year friends giving you a gift, and he sees you accept it with no hesitation. no awkward rejection, no looking like you don't want to be there— just a smile and a thank you.

his chest starts to hurt at the sight.

but he's not one to give up. after watching you for a day and seeing for himself what you like; he's certain he's found the perfect gift: your favourite food.

he's teleporting to ramshackle with a smile on his face, absolutely sure he'll finally get to witness you accepting a homemade present of his with a smile.

so when he's at your door, offering you his cooking; he can't help but feel a bit angry when you still decline.

but most of all he's just hurt. have you grown afraid of him? has he already lost one of his only friends outside of his family?

thus he confronts you about it. he says he saw you accept a gift from a friend without faltering, and he wants to know why you don't do the same for him.

he's surprised when you blurt out the truth; the reason why you don't accept gifts from not just him but all fae.

but moreso he's grateful he's finally gotten an answer.

he's understanding with you, there are many stereotypes humans have when it comes to fae, and vice versa. it's one of his missions as future king to rid of those false assumptions.

from then on, he doesn't give you gifts unless you explicitly state that you don't mind. he's going to try and prove to you that all he wants is to be someone dear to you, just as you are to him.

SEBEK

he spent a lot of time choosing the very first gift he would give to you. it had to be perfect. you only have this moment once, after all.

after he triple-checked that it was to your liking (a plushie from an anime you like— strange but he won't judge.. too much), he excitedly walked to your mess of a dorm.

after all that giddiness, you can imagine his disappointment when you decline his present to you.

he was sure he got something you liked and really wanted, but he reluctantly admits to himself that he might've been wrong. he just has to make the next one better.

but that doesn't work either. every time he tries to gift you something, you politely decline.

at this point, he knew you must be playing some sort of stupid prank on him. getting these gifts aren't easy, y'know. and he's seen you accept stuff from other people just fine!

do you just... not like him?

he gets a bit sad at the thought, but before he mopes he wants to know exactly why you keep rejecting him.

he was expecting a lot of things when he confronted you; some were stupid, some were hurtful. but at least he would get an answer.

what he didn't expect was for you to blurt out an old stereotype about fae.

he goes red for just a few seconds before realizing getting angry about it would be hypocritical; especially since he's still unlearning the assumptions he thought about humans.

♡ ah yes, he's definitely one of those twst guys who would be a perfect househusband. he's very caring, he remembers everything about your preferences, like your favorite food or how you like your tea/coffee/etc. when you come home from work, he already has everything ready and you don't have to do anything, just relax, okay? you deserve it and you can talk to trey about your day and how good or bad it was.

♡ you also never have to ask trey for anything, for some reason he always knows what you need, even if you don't know it yourself. however, sometimes he can be a bit.. let's just say that he can do something for you even if you actually don't need it. for example, you want to do some chores today, but trey insists on doing everything and he says that you don't have to worry about it, even though you're 100% fine with doing some laundry or ironing your clothes today. he assures you that he's fine, in fact, it would make him feel bad if he let you do the work, because you already do so much every day, cleaning some rooms or cooking dinner is the least that he can do. you can try and force him to take a break.. or you can just sit back and let him do everything. it's your choice.

♡ of course, trey loves to bake for you! he knows everything about your favorite treats and he bakes them whenever you have a bad day to comfort you.. but don't forget to brush your teeth though. because this guy will remind you. he will remind you MANY times. hey, even though he loves you a lot and he's ready to do anything for you, he has to be at least a bit strict with you sometimes! and overall, this guy is pretty much a perfect househusband. though he does like to spoil you too much and he never says no to you (even though he probably should).. but if you're into it, then there's no problems with him at all <3

♡ hmm, i wouldn't say he's an "absolutely perfect" househusband as trey and he does have some flaws, but they have the potential to make him even cuter. when you come back home from work, everything looks perfect, azul always somehow manages to outdo himself. he greets you, kisses your cheek, tries to help you relax and forget about everything you had to deal with today. oh, but what you don't know is that while you were at work, AZUL WAS STRUGGLING HERE. he always has a whole schedule, he tries to do everything in a specific order and if he finds out that he doesn't have much time for something, HE PANICS. so even if you think everything is great, azul is actually very nervous and he's afraid of you noticing that something is wrong. for some reason, even if you two are literally married, azul still thinks that you pay as much attention to details as he does.

♡ i think azul is pretty good at cooking, considering that he has an amazing sense of taste, but his perfectionistic tendencies would only make everything worse for him. he would spend too much time trying to do something in a perfect way and then he remembers that you're gonna come home soon, he gets anxious and only ends up making more mistakes. sure, food delivery is a thing, but azul wants you to know how much you mean to him and he wants to do something for you without any help. 

♡ so all because of how worried he is, azul ends up feeling very tired by the time you come home and he tries so hard to hide it, he doesn't want you to know that he actually had some problems with chores today. you're also most likely tired, so why would he want to rant to you or make you worry about him? so yes, he acts like everything is fine and he didn't struggle with anything at all. if you do notice that he looks tired and comfort him, he would be like "haha, i don't know what you're talking about, but thank you <3". but when you leave the room, his face becomes red and he can't stop thinking about what you said.

♡ oh yes, this guy also does everything in such a good way that you don't notice anything weird. seriously, with a guy like jade, you don't have to worry about anything when you're finally home and you just want to relax and chill. jade is that kind of gentleman who helps you take off your coat when you come back and he also chats with you only if you're comfortable with it, he knows that you can feel so tired that even talking can be too much for you. and if you don't want to talk, don't worry, he won't be mad at you or anything, he just loves being in your company and he hopes he can help you relax at least in some way.

♡ like trey, he also knows everything about your preferences, especially your favorite drinks and he can make you one anytime you want. jade probably takes notes about your tastes and preferences and he describes your reactions in such a detailed way, if someone found his notes, they would probably find it creepy. but he just finds your reactions so interesting, he wonders what you would think about a certain dish or drink! oh, and if you're okay with that, he would love to cook something for you that has mushrooms in it!

♡ when he does the cleaning, jade pays a lot of attention to every corner of the room and everything ends up looking much better even if the room was already mostly, if not completely, clean. and jade assures you that he likes to do this, it's very relaxing and he doesn't mind spending a lot of time doing this. he especially likes cleaning your room, he can learn so much about you while doing such a "boring" thing! oh, he hopes it doesn't sound weird, haha.

It's unbelievable to Jack. They have a baby now. The phrase echoes in his head like a broken record. Deuce has a ring on his finger, just like his, and they have a baby now.

A little cub that tugs at his ears every time Jack leans in for a kiss. A tiny chick that clings to Deuce's apron when he cooks breakfast in the morning.

Theres small footsteps in their halls. Theres warmth in every room. And theres laughter. Always so much laughter.

Jack grew up to be so big. He's so scared of holding them - Hands too large and claws too sharp for anything gentle, but Deuce grins at him. Makes fun of him for being so silly.

It's night now and Deuce is in their bed with their child. He gets to see this every night for the next growing years of their child.

(Most of this will be about the fighting and stuff because Trey loves writing things about fighting- but the other parts will be included!)

Silver

You two tend to spar quite often, though most of the time with swords. Though you do have a tendancy to throw in your martial arts skills and archery to challenge him a little, your aim is percise, and almost every punch or kick lands, you're good at parrying, countering, blocking, swinging, etc etc. Lilia tends to have you train him now because of your advanvced skills, and it gives ol' peepaw's back a break from it. Silver finds your skills quite impressive, your speed and endurance are also at an advanced level, making some of your attacks hard to dodge or parry, so he ends up with a few cuts and bruises sometimes, because you never tend to hold back during a friendly spar, though it is worth it, because afterwards, you always treat his wounds, and make him some nice warm cookies afterwards. Though he hasn't seen your Pharmacology in action, he's aware that you are able to craft poisons, especially really powerful and fatal ones like Cyanide poison, Mercury poison, VX Poison, Arsenic and many more, but he isn't worried about you poisoning him, because A. Lilia probably trained him to detect poison, and B. He knows you'd never poison him anyway.

Sebek

Like with Silver, you both spar quite often, swords clanging back and forth as you fight, attempting to prove your worth in a fight. While Sebek was trained by Lilia, you were basically self trained, your master later became your student instead, after about a week of your training. Your strength shows no bounds, same with speed and endurance, the speed in which you fight is faster than a fighter jet, sword swings and punches and kicks almost always hitting Sebek in some way, the arrows you fire almost always hit the targets... he would hate to be a target for your archery... he won't admit it, but he's quite impressed, he also won't admit the fact he looks forward to your fresh cookies afterwards. He is completely oblivious to the fact you can make powerful poisons, but he is aware you are a master in pharmacology, you never let anyone use store bought medicine anymore, you just make your own for them to use, and it actually works better than half of the stuff they sell at your local walmart, and, bonus, it actually tastes good.

He quite enjoys sparring with you, though he does end up with a few heavy bruises afterwards because of your strength and how hard you hit, but you always treat those afterwards, and treat him with some food, he witnessed your archery skills while he and walked in on you practicing your aim in the backyard of Ramshackle, you had targets set up around, and you fired with perfect percision, always hitting the bullseye... its almost like you're a sniper... You could fire a bow with your feet, and it would still hit bullseye, you could even not be looking and it'd still hit bullseye, its like you have eyes on every side of your head that tell you "Bingo, this is gonna hit bullseye", and don't even get me started on your swordsmanship, he could never win against you with that... he witnessed you cut a dummy into a million pieces in none but a milisecond! Crazy person, you are... He now fears you, plus a side of respect for you for these skills. He does know about your poison making skills, but he isn't worried about those, similar to Silver, he can detect poison with his wolf senses, and he just knows you'd never poison him.

Jamil

Sir... Sir you're shaking. He doesn't spar with you too often, but when he does, he has to physically prepare himself for HOURS because of how strong you are, he is good at hiding the expression of fear, though the fact he's sweating so much when you're only a minute in tells you otherwise... Honestly, why don't you become Kalim's bodyguard? Clearly you're more suit for the job. Not only is he scared of you, but he's also kinda a simp for you... A Scared Simp? A Scarimp? He would let you crush him, punch him, kick him, anything... and he'd probably Thank you. I guess his type is Strong, kind hearted and attractive. (because that's what you are obviously) He's fully aware of your skills in the poison department, but he's good at detecting poisons himself (like the others) and he knows for a fact you won't ever poison Kalim or him for that matter, so thats not something he worries about often, as for your cooking, he absolutely loves it, and he also gives you pointers to help you improve certain dishes, and the advice always helps you improve more and more everytime!

Well, it wasn't like the Ramshackle dorm had a great kitchen to make food in, so really no one knew how much talent you held in the kitchen.

But he really does appreciate the food you make for him. He knows how much love and time you put into it. So he always feels guilty when he doesn't eat it all.

You do know that he doesn't eat it all. And you never force him to eat what you make him. But the gentle look on his face whenever you knock on his office with a meal for him, that's a look that you never want to get rid of.

Whenever Jade or Floyd are also in the office with Azul, they always end up teasing Azul about it. Floyd sometimes asks for a portion of his meal, but instead of giving some of it to him, Azul pushes the dish away from the twins.

Azul also lets you use the kitchen whenever you want. He's given you your own section in the Mostro Lounge kitchen, one that no one can use except for you.
