I was thinking
I always see stories where Danny is a sibling that was lost/kidnapped, but what if we reverse it?
Tim Drake is actually a Fenton. He was kidnapped as an infant and sold to the Drakes. They only wanted him for social clout. Or maybe Janet had a loss or didn't want to lose her figure, but the Drakes didn't want people to know Tim's adopted.

DP x DC prompt
While on the job Lois Lane accidentally gets sent to Danny Phantom's universe. She was saved and housed by the Fenton Family. She tells them she's from a different universe with superheroes and Danny keeps asking her about the different heroes.
One day she accidentally saw Danny transform into Phantom. She confronts him and decides to help him. She is surprised when actually listens to her when she teaches.
Lois even convinces him to tell his parents about being Phantom. They accept him but privately ask Lois if she could take Danny with her while they try to dismantle the GIW and to amend the anti-ecto acts.
After a lot of arguing Jack and Maddie convince Danny to go with Lois. Danny also asked if they could bring Danielle along with them. They tried to get Jazz to go but she decided to stay. They figured out how to send Lois back to her home universe.
Clark isn't surprised Lois figured out how to get back before the Justice League could help her. But he is surprised she came back with two kids who will be staying with them for the foreseeable future.

Might make a fanfiction out of this.
This idea came to me yesterday while I was taking a break from my studies.
What if Jack Fenton is not the clone or half-brother of Bruce Wayne. What if he was the stolen twin brother of Bruce Wayne, and their parents thought he died a few hours after he was born because someone wanted the Waynes to suffer. Thomas and Martha were too heartbroken to ever speak about the death of their son. Then Damian and Danny meet in Gotham during Casper High’s field trip. Damian thinks Bruce had a child with another woman, and he’s p*ssed off about it. Danny insists that he wasn’t some billionaire’s child, and that his parents are both loyal to each other. Then Danny shows Damian a picture of his parents. Now Damian thinks his father was cloned instead. They call the whole Fenton family in Gotham. They do a DNA test. Bruce finds out. Turns out, Jack’s kidnappers took him as far away as they can manage, which was in Minnesota. They dropped him on an orphanage and his adoptive parents eventually took him in as their child (as an infant). Bruce is freaking out. The batfam is in chaos. Alfred is heartbroken, but is doing his best to support the Wayne family. Damian has been appeased. At least this boy isn’t an usurper.
I know this breaks like a lot of lore from Danny Phantom. This is just a ‘what if’ and a random idea.

Braided Fates 1
(Masterpost)
So this is the first part of the DCxDP AU that I've been messing with recently. And by first part I mean that actual first part, of the 'how the hell did we get into this situation' kind. As such, this is only Danny Phantom, since the crossover aspects will show up later on. I'm currently up to... I think four parts of this, and it kinda keeps ballooning so it might just get insane at some point, but hey, new fic project.
Also related, but if you're coming here after reading the later parts of the fic, I made some small edits to post 3, mainly regarding some ghost terms because I discussed it with my sister in the aftermath of the writing, decided I liked this idea better than the current common fanon, and then didn't change it in post 3. So I went back and made the edits to that, and it'll come up in story on time.
Anyway! Welcome to Braided Fates, the actual beginning.
--
The whole thing had started when they were barely eighteen.
Well. Not really. The whole thing had started when they were fourteen and stupid. But now, standing there at eighteen with Sam pressed on one side and Tucker close on the other, Danny couldn’t help but feel like things were really only starting now.
-x-
They were barely eighteen. Only barely. But it was good enough. Eighteen meant they could move away, live alone. It meant that all three of them could get out of Amity Park and go, if they had to. It meant their parents couldn’t stop them.
They’d been planning this for years, now. In some ways, Danny felt like he’d been preparing for it since the day he’d stepped into the Portal and died. He knew Sam and Tucker felt the same, from quiet conversations over PDAs and financial plans. Sam had been quietly stockpiling money from her parents, just in case. They had a dozen go bags hidden in places throughout the town, just in case. Tucker had created identities for them to use, just in case.
Just in case, as if it wasn’t likely. As if there was a chance.
They’d all known there wasn’t one.
They’d had to wait for Tucker’s birthday to pass, with him being the youngest of the three of them. But once it had, they’d been ready. Money piled away, identities ready to go, go bags prepared.
They started with the Fentons. It was the most risky, they thought, but also the most important. Danny had filled Jazz in on the situation, and she’d agreed to help with tears in her eyes. She pulled their parents out of the lab, and once they were gone, Danny has phased Tucker and Sam in. They were in charge of rigging the Portal to shut down if things went bad. Danny was capable of making his own portals, now, so he’d be able to get them out of Amity and into the Ghost Zone to hide. If things went bad, he’d disappear immediately, grab them, and run. They’d deal with the Foley’s and the Mason’s later, if that happened.
When that happened, Danny had secretly thought. He was pretty sure Sam felt the same, though Tucker was hopeful that they’d be on their side. Or at the very least they’d be supportive of the trio’s need to run.
Danny hadn’t thought so, up until he’d dropped Sam and Tucker off and gone upstairs to explain.
He started with the need to leave Amity Park. His parents had understood that easily. Jazz had done the same thing, going to college out of state. His parents didn’t quite get it, really- their lives were studying ghosts, and they didn’t quite get not wanting to do that- but they knew that Jazz had things she wanted to do, and understood that Danny had his own things. That he was terrified of ghosts, and didn’t want to be around them any more. They’d offered immediately to help him look for colleges he could get into with his grades, offered support financially so he could settle down without having to stress too much-
And then Danny had stopped them, and explained why.
“I want to go to school.” He said, quietly. “I can’t do what I want to do, not any more, but I’d like to go to school and do something. But I can’t.”
“Why not, Dann-o?”
“The GIW.” Danny breathed, slowly. It’d been enough time that Sam and Tucker should have things sorted out in the lab. He just had to get through this part, and then run. “The Portal didn’t work at first, remember? It only started working later.”
His mom frowned. “Yes, we never did figure out what caused that…”
“There was a switch on the inside.” Danny told her, taking in their faces for what he thought was the last time. “I wanted to show Sam and Tucker the thing, and Sam wanted a picture. I walked inside for the scale, and I tripped. And it turned on.”
Both his parents looked horrified.
“I’m Phantom.” He said, suddenly calm. “The other ghosts call me a halfa. Half dead and half alive. I’ve been doing what I can to keep the other ghosts from causing trouble here, since this is my territory. But I’m Phantom, and-”
He was cut off by his mom lurching forward, and with a flash of instinctive panic, he went intangible. She looked heartbroken, and Danny nearly fled then and there. He didn’t want to remember the way they’d look when they finally realised they had their target in front of them, and he didn’t want to hurt them, so all there was was to run-
Both of his parents were crying.
“Oh, Danny…” His dad said, none of his normal booming voice at all. He looked like a man about to fall apart, and Danny-
He didn’t know how to deal with that.
The talk had gone on for longer than expected, after that. So much longer that Sam had started blowing up his phone with messages, and he’d had to excuse himself to go and reassure them that he was alright, and that Tucker had been right, they were listening, and they weren’t going to hurt him.
He’d had to come clean about what they’d been doing in the lab after that, but that went alright, too. They’d even agreed, almost immediately, that the Portal needed to be shut down. That they couldn’t let the GIW get their hands on it.
Once everything was settled there, he’d been able to tell the truth about their plans.
“We can’t stay in Amity Park.” He said, once Tucker and Sam were pressed against his sides again. Mom was still holding his hand, reaching across Sam’s lap, and Dad was resting a hand on her shoulder. Jazz looked half way stuck between proud and sobbing. “I’m not safe here, and Tucker and Sam aren’t going to be either. I- don’t know that anyone is going to be safe here, with the GIW. There’s- there’s this thing with ecto contamination called Liminality, it’s being on the edge of death without being dead, and I- We don’t think there’s anyone in town who isn’t a bit Liminal, now. So it’s not going to be safe. But we don’t think we’ll be able to leave, either. Not safely.”
“Danny can’t stop himself from trying to help people.” Sam told them. “It’s something that’s hardwired into his ghost half, we think. But that means that if we move somewhere else, eventually we’ll get found out, because he won’t be able to not help. And then they’ll keep following us.”
“Then… where will you go?”
“The Zone.” Tucker said, easy. “We’ve already set things up, mostly, and we’ve got plans and stuff. Danny can survive there no problem, and Sam and I haven’t ever had any issues with the place, really. And we tested it a bit, a while back, so we’ve got a place where we know we’re gonna be safe. So we’re going to shut the Portal down, and go to the Zone with a different method.”
“All three of you?”
“We’ll talk to our parents after this.” Sam straightened, lifting her chin. “But we are going.”
-x-
And they’d went.
-x-
The conversations with the Foley’s and the Manson’s went just as well, in the end. With Danny’s parents backing them up, both sets of parents had agreed, with tears, but agreed even so. Methods of communication were set up- they had already had some plans for that, mostly for Ellie and for Val who’d both known about the entire thing for years- with the full knowledge that messages both ways were going to be difficult and infrequent, and then they’d started moving.
Danny had gone for their go bags, because a few of them required him to phase them out of walls or floors. Tucker and Sam had stayed behind to answer more questions and gather the last of what they’d need.
It had gone all too quickly, and then Danny was pulling open a portal to the Zone and walking through, both his friends right behind him, leaving their families behind in Amity Park.
-x-
Danny’s Lairs were unusual. One was his own, and the other was claimed from Pariah Dark during the same fight in which Danny had inadvertently won the crown.
Three years, and that still seemed strange, but one day Danny would inherit the entire throne of the Infinite Realms. What they called the Ghost Zone in Amity, because letting the GIW know anything about the true scale of the dimension on the other side of the Portal felt like a recipe for disaster.
The parts he’d claimed from Pariah were slowly shifting, even now, to being more Danny and less Pariah and his horrible taste. That Lair was the castle, the seat of his court to be.
Danny’s own Lair was nestled below and behind that, a near-perfect replica of his house in Amity with the parks of the city surrounding it. Sam and Tucker were only Liminal, so they didn’t have Lairs of their own, but that was where the near part came in; there were rooms added for both of them, as well as extra ones for Ellie and Val in case they ever needed to come to the Realms.
The three of them stood pressed together in the small garden between Danny’s Lair and the castle, bags at their feet, and feeling like things were only really just starting.

A Secret Uncovered on AO3
Summary: When a reporter catches Danny's transformation on tape, Danny finds that dealing with his new notoriety is the greatest battle of all. While facing the media, his classmates, Valerie, Dash, his teachers, and his family, he wonders if they will see him as he is, or if they will only see him as a ghost. But who is the mysterious ghost who set him up? What plans does he have for Danny now that his secret has been revealed? And how much can he possibly mess up his life further?
AO3: Link
I'm so excited to present the official repost of A Secret Uncovered to AO3! I know FanFiction.Net has been a difficult place to view this fic, so I've been wanting to cross-post it over to AO3 for awhile.
But I decided if I was reposting it, why not shine it up a bit? So I've been meticulously going through each chapter with some major edits including: adding more internal thoughts in the beginning chapters, tightening up some dialogue, fixing some grammar, and updating the writing style. But don't worry! It's still the same plot and all your favorite parts should still be here, just expanded upon and refreshed. And the original cut will always live on FanFiction.Net for nostalgia purposes.
If you've read this before, I hope you enjoy some of the updates! If this is new for you, I hope you enjoy the ride!

Talk (Silence)
~
Danny has gotten used to not having to watch what he said as the years went by.
In Amity everyone basically knew he was Phantom and just treated it as normal, and he had already told his parents what had happened,
They did a total 180 on their opinions, now chasing after ghosts to question them about everything they could squeeze out of them.
They were very proud of Danny too, often helping him with their technology.
Having said that he got used to not watching what he said in Amity, everyone knew so why bother right?
Unfortunately he was not in Amity
He was in Gotham visiting Jazz, who had moved for University.
They were currently in a cafe catching up, talking as their used to.
Not realizing that their conversation without context sounded very worrying.
~
Jazz: " So how are mod and dad?"
Danny: "Oh you know the usual, they're making new weapons, hopefully this time they wont target me, getting shot sucks, but I prefer it over getting electrocuted "
Jazz: " Good luck!"
(TOPC)The other people in the cafe: What the fuck
~
Danny: " Vlad keeps putting cameras in my room, so I went and confronted him about it again, I don't care that he's the mayor! "
Jazz: " He really needs some therapy"
Danny: " He's a fruitloop, he's beyond help"
TOPC: *concerned side eye*
~
Jazz: "You know I was a bit more worried about the criminals here, but honestly weak, I miss actual competent villains"
Danny: "I told you!"
TOPC not sure if they should be offended or wary of where they live
~
Jazz: " You know I kinda miss the food back home"
Danny: "What that it would come back to life and fight you to the death?"
Jazz: " I mean that too, but I was talking about the taste"
Danny: " Oh yes the chemically contaminated food really has some extra flavor compared to this" *gestures at his plate*
~
Danny: " I went to the park to play with Cujo and got kidnapped and they almost cut me in half"
Danny/Jazz: "Typical Friday!"
TOPC recording on their phones to make sure they're not hallucinating, someone is live tweeting.

Playfighting
Imagine, Maddie Fenton having a video chat with Batman or Bruce Wayne her close childhood friend, talking about different ways to help their ghost situation, his children also in the room with them, trying their best to stay awake due to the lack of sleep and exhaustion, caused by the ghosts.
When Danny just pops out of nowhere with his black hair and blue eyes, that made every children of Batman think, if Maddie and Bruce were really just a Childhood friends(Which they are).
"Hello, Mother I am bored, and I want to do something productive but not that productive." Danny stated, while looming behind Maddie who just sighed in stress.
"Go play with your little sister" Maddie exclaimed, and went back to talking with Batman.
Danny let out a soft okay, before disappearing out of the video call.
not even a minute later, a loud bang echoed throughout Maddie's house making all the batkids alert asking what's wrong and if Maddie was alright, Maddie ignored the noise and reassured with a gentle smile that she was fine, before going back into a conversation with Batman.
Talking about perfect timing, here comes Danny and Dani strangling and roundhousing eachother to death, The batkids (except Damian, who was staring at the two trying to figure out who will win) are concerned to an extreme level because why are two 'civillian' kids trying to kill eachother?
meanwhile Batman and Maddie just continued their conversation, like it was just a normal everyday occurrence.

The bats had no idea what they were looking at. A very large vehicle that looked like it shouldn’t possibly be able to run was speeding around Gotham in no particular order. Almost as if it was looking for something. It took all of the bats over an hour to chase it down and contain it to question the driver.
A man with black hair and blue eyes that remind Bruce of his late father looks out the window, and says, “We’re looking for our son.”
A woman in the passenger seat that looks like Bruce’s mother adds, “The self sacrificial idiot jumped through a portal into another dimension trying to save a cat.”
The man nodded along, “It’s not really a cat though.”
“Well, what is it?” Tim asked, genuinely confused.
“It’s the alternate version of our son from a timeline where he went evil.” The woman responds.
“But don’t worry, he’s not evil anymore!” The man grins.
Bruce had questions. “But why would your son be a cat?”
“Because our daughter—the girl cloned from the current version of our son, that is—decided to shapeshift into a dog and chase him through the multiverse.” The man replied.
“So our other daughter, the older one, she decided to alert us, but she couldn’t wait, so now she shapeshifted ito a bird to try and catch them that way.” The woman continued.
“Are all of your children shapeshifters?” Bruce asked.
“Yep.” The man said proudly.
“Are you?” Bruce asked.
“It’s complicated.” The woman shrugged, “Using the GAV is faster.”
Bruce was very thankful that the cowl covered most of his face. Everything the people said just made his brain hurt worse.

The King is Sealed, Long Lie the Queen!
After Pariah is defeated and resealed, Danny is crowned the new King/Queen. Yeah, he's a guy, but he birthed 2 sentient beings, and that counts as a queen in their books.
After a month long readjustment period, some certain areas of the Infinite Realms feel it's their responsibility to inform the Mortal Realms and uninformed ghosts of the good news!
Anyone death touched past liminality, anchored ghosts and revenants alike, are approached by ghosts and told that they're under new management. The Queen will renew their souls, as long as they can merely be within her presence.
One such revenant, Jason Todd/Red Hood, has been ignorant of this. His fraid, too! That must be fixed.

I like to think that the reason Jack and Maddie never noticed Danny's ghostlyness is because one (or both) of them are related to a rogue with visible mutations.
Obviously, you've got people like Poison Ivy, Two Face, and Killer Croc, but there's also The Penguin, Joker, and Bane. Seriously, how f-ed looking was Danny Devito's Penguin? Bane weirdly makes a lot of sense since Jack is also built like a firetruck. But, you could pull from any heroes Rouges Gallery.
Anyway.
So eventually, Danny starts to have ghostly features in his human form. Glowing eyes, razor sharp teeth, or an odd skin color. Of course he'd freak out and try to hide it from his parents, but eventually they notice anyway and sit him down to have the "talk". Just not the one he's been expecting.
This ends with Danny having an existential crisis. Is he a halfa or is he a meta?

DP x DC prompt
Danny was taught by Frostbite and Pandora how to suppress his ecto signature so that other ghost and ghost tracking technology can't sense him. Sadly they didn't count on Jazz being liminal and having a strong signature so she is tracked down by the GIW and vivisected.
Danny worried about his older sister, tells his parents about his Halfa status so they can help look for Jazz. They don't have time to really acknowledge it because their baby girl needs their help. So Danny and his parents raid the GIW base and save Jazz. Sadly, on the way out Jack is killed trying to protect Maddie and Maddie is grievously injured.
Maddie gives Danny a device to suppress Jazz's signature and tells him to take Jazz and leave. Danny with an injured Jazz runs, he thinks of going to Gotham since the ectoplasm there might conceal him and Jazz but decides not to. The GIW has gotten smarter so they might go to Gotham to try and track them.
But with the suppression device he can take Jazz anywhere so he takes her to Star city. While there Danny took up multiple under the table jobs and underground fighting to make money.
Black Canary was investigating a new underground fighting ring when she noticed the boy who couldn't have been older than 15. He was a regular and she could tell that he regularly threw fights just enough not to be scouted by the big players pulling the strings behind the scenes. So she thought he would be the perfect person to interrogate.
She followed him to his run down apartment building. She found his apartment and was getting ready to silently enter, through the window to speak to the boy when she saw him trying to feed a young Redheaded woman who had a blank face, sunken eyes and was so skinny you could see her bones.
She then noticed the boy's shoulders starting to shake and heard him sobbing asking for his sister to come back to him.

Damian Fenton
It started when Damian had a fight with his family; for once, it wasn't even his fault!
He had nothing to do with that! But no one seems to believe him! That was why he ran away from home as he was said to not be Robin and similiar.
It was just an accident that he was found by Jasmine Fenton, who saw the poor boy and just took him with her to Amity Park. Teacher: "Jazz, just because you missed Danny while on a class trip, that doesn't mean you should take a new child with you back to Amity Park. Okay, leaving a homeless child alone in Gotham would end badly; he can come with us." + Once back in Amity Park, Damian quickly became part of the family of Fenton's as was now legally somehow Damian Fenton. Vlad helped and did it just to show of to Bruce Wayne, he hates him.
Damian wasn't sure what to think of the Fenton's just accepting the child that their daughter brought back with her. But he liked it.
+
At Gotham, the Bat's found out it really wasn't Damian's fault and weren't able to even find him. And had no idea what they were doing wrong!! +
Damian was actually doing pretty well in Amity Park, and his new brother's friend Tucker covered up that he was in Amity Park or that he was ever in Gotham.
He was going to Casper High, and the whole city just accepted he was always a Fenton child, other that Wes boy.

It's not you, it's me. (DPxDC)
Long post, but short plot info or progression wise!
Danny loves his parents, don't get him wrong. They weren't perfect by any means, but they tried. As hard as it was for him to come to terms with, it's okay. Really.
It's okay that Jazz had been the one to raise him. It's okay that his parents talked about wanting to rip him apart during mealtime. It's okay they didn't notice the way ghostly things attached to Danny. It's okay that they never paid enough attention to put his secret together.
It's okay because they weren't bad parents. Not as bad as they could be. Yes, they could be a little reckless. Yes, they had their problems. But the good times were there.
Saturday morning fudge cooking with Jack. Late night self-defense class with Maddie. Tinkering in the lab with both of them. Even the normal embarrassing moments were good.
Because his parents are awesome. They are absolutely cool, and they did their best. As best as they could.
That's why it hurt so much to leave.
It hurt to leave Amity Park, but it hurt more to leave his family. He felt it deep in his core, the pain of having to separate from those he loves. Those he needed to protect.
But it was time. If Danny wanted to protect them, he needed to leave. So, he did. He almost didn't say goodbye. Almost didn't want to face it all.
His friends were easy to say goodbye to, but it still hurt just as much. Sam and Tucker, they understood why he had to go. Same with Jazz. There were talks about other ideas and plans so that Danny didn't need to leave. But he had to. There was no other option.
But Danny needed to tell his parents everything. Tell them about his accident, tell them that he was Phantom. He couldn't just say bye and leave with no explanation. So he bit the bullet and did it.
It went well. Better than good, it was amazing. And Danny wished he could stick around to see the changes in his parents' work because of it.
Danny has cried enough times this past week than he was sure he cried his whole life. He had his fill, he doubt he could cry again soon.
For everyone's safety, Danny Fenton left Amity Park. Phantom had vanished from the streets. Amity Park was safe. The Anti-Ecto laws, the GIW, all of it. They wouldn't target Amity Park anymore.
It was a lot of work to get the other ghosts on board. But after Clockwork confirmed everything, it all set into motions. The world was free of ghosts, but Danny wasn't sure how long the others could stay away.
He needed a plan, needed to get the government to understand ghosts. But there was nothing Danny could truly do. He was just a kid.
He is just a kid. Just a kid leaving in a small apartment right by a place nicknames crime alley. But Danny liked it. Gotham had enough noise and ambient ectoplasm to keep him safe. It would be hard for anyone to find him.
He was safe. Safe for once. But Danny knew it wouldn't last long.
The problem here? Danny was all alone. He didn't have his team to contact. Didn't have Sam or Jazz to tell him that a plan was downright stupid. Didn't have Tucker to back up the stupid plans that could actually work.
That's how he ended up in space.
Danny loves space, and he wished he was visiting in better circumstances. Thankfully, the vacuum of space had no impact on Danny's ghost form. It was harder than he expected to find what he was looking for.
God, Danny wished Tucker was here. The techno-nerd was a wiz with the computer. Amazing at hacking and tracking in a way Danny couldn't understand.
But Danny didn't have Tucker. He didn't have anyone right now. He couldn't have anyone right now.
Even so, Danny found it. Found the secret space base for the Justice League. It was a struggle, but he found it. And for once, his luck was on his side.
The whole team was there. Well, the main ones you see on the news and in the paper. All sitting around a giant table, a whole meeting was happening.
Danny took one shuddering breath in before phasing into the Watchtower invisibly. He was honestly surprised when no alarms went off. No defenses were triggered. He made a mental note to give them some ghost detection equipment if things go well.
Except things didn't go well. At least not the way Danny had been hoping.
He silently made his way to the table, standing a bit of a distance from them. Just in case he needed to run. His eyes jumped between the different heroes.
Danny steeled his nerves, at least tried to. He stood directly across from Batman, in the perfect spot to be noticed instantly. Then he dropped his invisibility.
All eyes were on him in an instance. Danny never felt so terrified in his life. Not like this. His attempt at steeling his nerves failed immediately.
Maybe the anxiety and fear was clear on his face. Maybe it's because he is a child, despite glowing and being someplace he shouldn't be. But Danny vaguely heard a soft, gentle voice speak to him.
He couldn't make it out, not really. His ears were filled with the sounds of his rushing ectoplasm. A tremble settled in his hands, and Danny knew he needed to hurry up. He needed to speak before he lost all his cool.
"I... Sorry, I know I shouldn't be here... But, uh, my name's Phantom... And I... I..."
The words stumbled and spilled from Danny in a less than elegant and confident way. The shaking in his hands got worse the more he tried to speak. His voice shaky and waivering, even when he tried to sound strong.
And Danny couldn't pull his gaze away from Batman. The cape crusader stood unmoving, unphased, and completely silent. The other heroes had a mixed of expression, but Danny couldn't read Batman.
That unnerved the teen so much. In that moment, he regretted ever coming here. He regretted leaving Amity Park. He regretted telling his parents. He regretted ever stepping foot in that damn portal to begin with.
Then something snap inside of Danny. The dam that was holding everything in just suddenly broke. In a split second, his vision grew blurry with tears.
Even though he didn't need to breathe, his breathing started to pick up. Fast and short. He could feel the phantom feeling of a heart beating rapidly in his chest. Or maybe it was his core warning him of the sudden wave of emotions rocking through him.
"I... I... Help."
The single word, the single plea, spilled from Danny in a pathetic whimper. Before he suddenly dropped to his knees. He curled in on himself. Arms wrapped tightly around himself, head bowed and white hair curtaining his face. Tears fell fast down his cheeks, leaving droplets on the floor, as choked sobs left him.
In that moment, Danny didn't feel like a hero. Didn't feel like Phantom. Didn't feel like the ghostly hero that was in charge of fixing everything.
In that moment, Danny felt like a scared little kid. A kid who was given too much too fast, with no real guidance. A kid that had to grow up fast and had people depending on him. A kid who was exhausted and terrified. A kid that wanted nothing more than to run home. To be wrapped up in a Jack Fenton Bear Hug. To feel his mother's hand combing through his hair as she whispered gentle reassuring words to him.
In the end, Danny Fenton was still just a kid. And it seemed the Justice League could see that.
Danny couldn't focus on the words he heard spoken around him. He couldn't focus on the moments either. He couldn't focus on anything.
Until suddenly, arms were wrapped around him in a gentle and warm embrace. He felt something draped over his back. Danny blinked the blurriness in his vision just enough to make out who was in front of him.
Batman. The hero that scared Danny the most seconds ago.
Except this time, even through the cowl, Batman looked softer. The man looked human and understanding. It made Danny's mind flash to his parents once again. Which only made him cry harder.
A glowing kid was wrapped up in Batman's arms, the two kneeling on the ground. Batman's cape wrapped around the trembling, sobbing form. The kid clinging to Batman like a lifeline. The rest of the Justice League stood around the two.
Nobody quite knowing what the hell they were supposed to do. Or what was really going on.
All those heroes needed to know was simple enough. There was a kid who went through all this trouble to end up in the Watchtower. A kid that's so hurt and exhausted, pleading for help. And helping was the Justice League's specialty.

What I need of the DPxDC "Bruce confuses Danny for one of his kids and accidentally kinda kidnaps him" is to have Danny's parents go absolute apeshit at someone taking their baby boy! their little guy! the most wonderful, most specialest boy ever!
and now whilst Bruce is just realising what's going on and trying to give Danny back, Jack and Maddie already went through half his rogues gallery looking for who could have taken their son! the villains are in shambles! the GCPD doesn't know if they are supervillains too since they are only targeting OTHER supervillains but anyway they Can Not Restrain Them
Danny sees that and just groans and sinks his head in his hands, defeated, and then hears all the cutesy names they are calling him with and wants to die (again) on the spot "our baby boy! our darling bombon! our little starlight!" (ok, he likes that one), "our sweet, sweet little boy!"
in the end, Danny is reunited with his parents, whom get fined for property damage and attacking cops (it was the cops' fault. acab), and they are hugging Danny and grumbling about the fine ("what did they expect? what parent wouldn't tear down the world for their child?" Jason, looking pointedly at Bruce: "yeah, what kind of AWFUL parent wouldn't?"), but they are understanding enough with Bruce, as it was a mix-up and Danny didn't say anything until later out of awkwardness (they judge his parenting if he cannot recognize he wasn't his kid. no matter that they cannot recognize Phantom as THEIR kid)
they leave, happy and relieved, and Bruce hopes they never really turn to supervillainy
once Jason finds out Maddie beat Joker to half an inch of his life (that clown is hard to kill!), he sneaks into their RV and adopts himself into their home. because i said so

So playboy bruce wayne gets a girl pregnant, but because she sleeps around she has no idea who the farther is and cant provide for danny

The years in the foster system has caused him some mental health problems and that inspired jazz to be a psychologist
Danny growes up, has his accident, danny phantom happens, he comes out to his parents as phantom and they accept him, but aftrt a few years guarding amity he wants to explore
So he finds a way to graduate early, get permission from the fentons to go on a year long trip(as long as he keeps in touch)
Afew months later 16 year old danny is in gothem and gets into a rouge gallerys battle field
One thing leads to another and when danny mentioned he was in the foster system but isn't any more they ask to do a DNA test...
Only for it to say he's bruce waynes kid...
