Thinking about true love and book 7 again:
True Love is what allowed Malleus to be conceived by his parents and eventually hatched by Lilia.
True love is what put baby Silver to sleep by his parents and woken up by Lilia.
Sebeks parents were able to walk past the line of human and fae, of hundreds of years of animosity, and allowed them to have their children.
Love is what diasomnia is about and love is also what caused the OB to happen.
Love is as destructive and chaotic as it is healing and nourishing 🥹😭💚

would they say the n-word / are they racist: twisted wonderland edition
Tumblr media
Inspired by twstowo's taxes headcanon post.
I meant to post this during february but i just didnt.
REMEMBER THAT IS ALL FOR SHITS N GIGGLES. IF YOU THINK YOUR POOKIE IS/IS NOT A RACIST, REBLOG OR LEAVE A COMMENT
4/2 edit: JESUS CHRIST DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY 😭😭 THESE AREN'T REAL HCS, JUST SOMETHING STUPID FOR BLACK TWST FANS TO ENJOY
Tumblr media
GRIM: Yess that's my baby boy my son my son yes I give him the pass
RIDDLE: Couldn't waterboard the n-word outta him. Uses 'Off With Your Head' to punish anyone who uses slurs
TREY: Wouldn't. Not a racist and has no interest in saying the word.
CATER: Researches what's offensive to certain groups so he can stay respectful, no n-word from him
ACE: ace is literally that one white friend who thinks his n-word 'jokes' are funny (they're not) and he walks around with Riddle's collar because of that. He def went to a middle school named after a Confederate, but he's not racist for the most part "I play basketball so-" or "I'm gonna say the n-word: ninja!!" - 🥸
DEUCE: No. He's a good guy. He would never and if he said something remotely offensive, he'd apologize with tears
LEONA: YESS BLACK KING 🗣🔥🔥‼‼‼‼
JACK: Could and he does, but only occasionally. Punches the shit outta Ace's shoulder if he says something distasteful
RUGGIE: YES he just light-skinnted 😕 Ace would make fun of him for eating all the stereotypical foods
AZUL: Slightly racist. Just slightly. Seems like the type to get a lil tense when a tanned, well-built dude walks into the Monstro Lounge. starts clutching his pearls n shit
JADE: No, I don't really see him being racist or saying the n-word
FLOYD: Probably the least likely to say the n-word and would get offended that you even assumed. Like his entire mood would change if you mention it "Ehh Shrimpy? You tryna get squeezed? What made you think I would say that??" *fucking kills you*
KALIM: No, no n-word from Al-Asim. I could see him as a racist though. i think of kalim as purposely ignorant so in my mind, he's INTENTIONAL with his microaggressions but no one really calls him out on it.
JAMIL: Yes but only cuz I give him the pass.
VIL: Doesn't say the n-word (he knows better) but probably screams it in his thoughts. idk guys vil just seems a bit racist.
ROOK: Who's in Paris. LOL but I don't think he'd say the n-word. Also probably one of the least racist here. But he'd bring up eugenics in a convo and ruin the mood completely.
EPEL: I genuinely don't know if he would or not. Like because he from some rural area (to my knowledge, i js started book 5), i feel like he wouldn't because he'd know better. but i also heard that epel is misogynistic and hating black people & hating women go hand in hand (misogynoir)
IDIA: No but it wouldn't be surprising. i can already imagine him in that cod lobby. probably gets his slurs from cater
ORTHO: No my sweet child would not say the n-word. would blast idia out of this world with a charged beam if he said anything offensive
MALLEUS: No.
LILIA: Probably has said it before and is the most educated when it comes to black culture in the diasomnia group other than sebek (my 4c king)
SEBEK: No, in fact i might give him the pass (#mixedking😍❤️)
SILVER: No but probably a little colorist. yk how some black men love to scream from the mountain tops that they love white women? well silver is that white woman. js saying
Tumblr media
this was fun to make. pls remember that its just a silly post, dont get mad because only hit dogs will holler.
"what abt the staff/yuus/extras-" send an ask :3
4/2 edit: its crazy cuz the only mad people are white🧍🏾‍♀️

— HANAHAKI DISEASE : twisted wonderland
Tumblr media
[synopsis] he has unrequited feelings of love for you, to the point where flowers grow in his lungs
[characters] ace trappola, kalim al-asim, lilia vanrouge, silver
[tw] blood, throwing up, implied character death
Tumblr media
ACE TRAPPOLA groans when he sees his favorite pajama shirt is stained with his own blood. He tosses away the tissue he tried to use to get rid of the blood in his clothes, and as if the world decided to laugh at him, the tissue doesn't fall even near the bin. He rolls his eyes as he kneels to the floor to pick it up, but he suddenly gets a pang on his chest, as he falls to the floor, hyperventilating. He feels as if he can't breathe, and blood droplets fall from his mouth to the floor, accompanied with petals. He resents you, for entering his life unexpectedly and stealing his heart with your unexpected ways to see the world, but he could never hate you. He could never hate you, even when he clutches his chest, even when he feels like he's dying right there and then, alone in his dorm without you by his side.
KALIM AL-ASIM watches from afar while you laugh with his best friend, almost as if mocking him. Since the incident with Jamil's overblot, he has tried his best to made him know how much he appreciates it, and he knows that isn't going to change just because he is dating the person he likes. He feels the flowers go up his throat as he runs to the personal bathroom in his room, to be alone with the flowers that grow inside of his lungs. He throws up everything he has in his stomach, accompanied with blood and fully bloomed flowers. The metalic feeling of blood in his mouth adds to his headache. He feels his eyes burning, he feels dizzy, as if he's going to pass out, he feels more bilis coming up his throat, and he feels guilty. Guilty for not feeling happy for his best friend, guilty for wishing you two would go away so he could remain blissfully unaware. While he leans down on the toilet, crying, he doesn't notice when the door behind him opens, and Jamil stands there horrified.
LILIA VANROUGE smiles, feeling a sense of dread over what is going to happen to him. He ignores Silver, who's desperately knocking at his door, asking his father what is going on and what is happening to him. He sees your favorite flower in his hand, mixed with his own blood, and a feeling of melancholy overflows him. He knew this would get worse and worse until it stops, and nothing is left of him. Oh but how he loves you, even when he knows your favorite flowers are what's killing him slowly from inside.
Lilia wipes the blood he has on his lips with his sleeve. As he opens the door, he smiles once again, so Silver doesn't feel as bad when he hears what's going to happen to his father next.
SILVER feels Lilia's hand caressing his back, drawing small circles with his thumb as he spits blood in Diasomnia's public bathroom. Sebek doesn't dare to utter a word when he sees Silver like this, it was as if his throat had dried out, even if all he wanted to scream at him and ask for an explanation. Silver looks back at his father, and sees, for the first time in years, that there are tears in his eyes, and as he hugs him, he tells him everything is going to be okay, even if he doesn't believe it himself. In his father's embrace, Silver starts to feel tired and sleepy, but it's different this time, something he had never felt before. He struggles to keep his eyes open as Lilia yells at him to stay awake, Sebek cries for Malleus to come quickly, and all that's left in the room is a worried family and a full blossomed flower stained with blood on the floor.

Runaway_Chapter 1: Runaway
Summary: After the realization Silver is the cause of his family’s pain, Silver runs away, leaving all he knows and loves.
Master List
Ao3
Notes:
*Twst spoilers for Chapter/Book 7
*Fairly long, around 2,500 words
Story Notes:
*In this work, Leah was the one who needed Malenore’s glow to survive and, at the time, she was in the early stages of pregnancy. Why? Because it fits better dramatically and story wise.
*The metaphorical “want for a nail” that leads to this tale is that Sebek and Silver never got a chance to talk about what Silver was going through. Silver pulled himself out of the dark by telling himself he owed it to Malleus and Lilia to save them, but after that...
~Start~
It was over.
Malleus was back to normal, everyone was awake, Lilia and Sebek were safe—it was all over.
Wasn’t it?
~*~
Silver groaned behind clenched teeth. His head was throbbing, and every pulse of blood was shooting pain through his brain. It took effort to open his eyes, which stung from exhaustion, and even then, the world was spotty with colors. Thankfully, the lights were low. Slowly, he attempted to push himself up, but his limbs were shaky. It was as if he were a baby deer.
‘What happened?’ Silver’s expression pinched as he tried to recall. And then he did.
He whipped his head up, a gap escaping his lips. His eyes darted about the Diasomnia hall, decorated with banners and streamers for Lilia’s farewell, looking for--
“Malleus!”
“Lord Malleus!!”
He saw his father immediately hurry to Malleus, with Sebek at his side. Silver felt a warm flow through him at the sight of those he loved most.
When he last saw them, it was in the dream world. Lilia had stayed behind in his dream to allow them to escape and save Malleus from himself. Then later, Sebek was injured while defending him. And Malleus…
Poor Malleus had been overblotted, falling into despair over the thought of losing Lilia and turning into a powerful foe that Silver and the others were barely able to defeat.
But it was over now. Everyone was safe, and Malleus was back to his usual self.
Heart swelling, Silver made to join them as the prince began to stir, tears of relief starting to appear--
Then he stopped, paralyzed by a chill that went through him.
‘Wait…I…’ Memories of his father’s dream swirled to the surface, like a beast from the gloom.
Humans invading Briar Valley, raping the land, and leaving mountains hollow. Destroying the homes of innocent Fae folk. The soldiers attacking the castle where a baby Malleus was sleeping, unhatched in his egg, as his mother sang to him one last time before the Knight of the Dawn arrived and slayed her.
The Knight of the Dawn. His…
Silver went cold, ice filling his veins as he replayed the words he had overheard in the dream.
“My sister, your WIFE, Princess Leah, is suffering from the child YOU placed in her. Every night, my father prays for their health, but it’s not enough! With the princess’ glow, we might be able to save them.”
Silver’s body quivered. It was his fault. It was because of HIM that the humans invaded Brair Valley, the place Silver had the gall to call his home for seventeen years. It was because of Silver that the Knight of the Dawn killed Malenore. The Princess, who fought for her country and her unborn child, a child she never even got to see.
Because of him.
‘Father—no, General Vanrouge—no—who...who...how... Lord Malleus, I--I--’ Silver couldn’t think. It was all he could do to breathe, the weight of his guilt pressing down on him and threatening to crush him to the ground. He looked at his hand, which was digging into the dark stone floor through the leather gloves. It was shaking as the skin turned gray.
Nausea filled him as the world began to spin. He thought he was going to throw up.
It was too much. Silver couldn’t stay. He had to leave. He had to get out of there.
He cast a momentary glance at Lilia and the others, Sebek weeping as Lilia comforted a distressed Malleus. Just as he had done with Silver as a child.
Body tense, the human stood quietly, not wanting to draw their attention as he left.
~*~
As he wandered down the winding steps, which were bathed in shadows, Silver attempted to process all that had happened.
He still felt ill, and quickly his attempts to hold back failed. As he found himself vomiting out the window, a dawning realization burned him like fire, even as the cold wind from outside blew against his face.
‘It was all because of me,’ he thought. ‘I was the cause of everything wrong in their lives.’
The Fae lost their land and their homes. Lilia lost a beloved friend, whom he grew up with and suffered undeserved scorn from others. Malleus never got a chance to know his mother or how much she loved him.
All because Silver had been conceived and made his mother ill. If not for him, then the Fae would all be living peacefully.
Princess Malenore would have lived and gotten to raise her child. On top of all that, Lilia would have been praised as the general he deserved, with medals, all the honors he deserved, and more. More than that, he would have been with his friends.
However, because of Silver’s existence, none of that happened. Instead, everyone suffered.
‘And father knows it.’ Silver could still recall the look of pure loathing in Lilia’s eyes, masking centuries of pain, when he realized Silver’s true identity as a baby. How Lilia had longed to reach out, to rip out the babe's throat. And he would have too—if not for Lilia’s love for Malleus and possibly his own soft heart.
A heart too kind for someone like Silver.
Hick...
Sliver’s lips pressed, holding back a sob.
“Hick… Father… I… Hick...” ‘I can’t only imagine how you’ve suffered all these years.’ To look at Silver, every day, knowing who he was and that he was responsible for everything wrong in Lilia and Malleus’ lives, must have been agony beyond any wound a sword could inflict. Especially now that Silver had the exact same face as him. The exact same.
It must have been agony to hold Silver at night when he cried, to force a smile for him.
And Malleus…
“YOU were the cause of my pain! You and your father! On top of that, you’re the proof of Lilia’s betrayal of my family and myself! I hate you!"
Silver flinched and fell against the wall, sliding to the floor. The look of pure loathing and pain on Malles' face burned into his memory and slashed his soul apart like a dark blade.
He was right. Malleus was right. How--
How could Malleus ever look at him again?
Sebek certainly wouldn’t.
‘Sebek…’ He would hate Silver when he figured it all out.
So much had been going on as they traveled, but once Sebek put the pieces together, he would look at Silver with scorn. Sebek loved Malleus, Lilia, and his grandfather, Baul, more than anything. Silver could already see the other’s hatred and fury, glowing in his eyes, words of disdain spilling from his lips.
“Lord Malleus and Master Lilia raised you, and for what?! If it wasn’t for you, then they—and grandfather—wouldn’t have suffered as they did! As far as I’m concerned, you’re no different than the humans who invaded our land!"
Silver’s head fell forward, his palms pressing hard against his eyes, which turned red due to the sting of tears.
‘I’m sorry. I’m so sorry...’ It was all his fault. It was all his fault. Even tonight was all his fault.
Had Silver not wept, like he was now, then Malleus wouldn’t have blotted over. But because he had, Malleus fell into despair, and everyone on Sage Island suffered.
But that was his existence, wasn’t it? One that brought pain and suffering to all. And Silver couldn’t do a thing about it.
There was nothing he could do to make up for the past. To give back what was lost or heal the scars inflicted upon everyone he loved.
Nothing--
“Silver!”
Above him, from the floors above, Silver heard his name being called by multiple people. One louder than the rest;
“Silver!” Lilia’s voice cracked as it carried loudly over the others. “Where are you? Answer me!”
The frantic tone pierced Silver’s heart like a dagger.
He shoved himself to his feet, his breath ragged with sobs. This morning, he would have hurried to the man to assure Lilia that he was alright and everything was fine.
Now, however, Silver ran down the steps and to the exit, bursting out the large doors to the outside.
He didn’t have a destination in mind as he ran. He just knew that he had to run to get away from Lilia, Malleus, and Sebek—everyone.
Silver’s legs carried him down the pathway, surrounded by thorns--just like the ones around the stolen castle--and to the mirror. As soon as the glass was in sight, he charged it like a bull. The action flung him through the portal and to the marbled floor, where his knees slammed painfully. Taking in haggard breaths, one thought blossomed in his mind:
‘I can’t let them take me back.’
They would. He knew they would, or at least Lilia would. Being as kind as he was, Silver knew Lilia would tell him that the past wasn’t his fault and that he loved him. But that would be a lie.
How could anyone love the son of their enemy? Especially when he was the cause of everything?
Knees throbbing, Silver staggered to his feet, the ring around his neck swaying as the stones glittered in the faint light. Once he gained his footing, Silver set out of the school at a run.
Blackthorns still covered the area, though he could see the dome above slowly retreating, revealing the dawn peeking over the college. As Silver made his exit from the building, he prayed that it was a symbol of a better beginning for Lilia and the others.
‘Did Lord Malleus do all of this?’ Silver wondered as he looked at the vines. ‘Is the entire island covered in them?’ Despite the current situation, he was in awe of his Lord’s power. Only the Witch of Thorns herself had managed such a feat in the past. Truly, Malleus…
Silver shook his head to bring him to the present. He had no time for such thoughts. Right now, he had to get off the island.
‘But how?’ The mirror was controlled by Crowley; a boat would be far too slow, and staying was out of the question as he knew Lilia would find him. He was always good at finding Silver whenever the boy got upset, hid somewhere, or ran. That used to be a comfort to him. Now...
The thudding sound of heavy footsteps interrupted his thoughts, and Silver instinctively hid behind a thick apple tree before peeping out.
‘Those uniforms…’ Running past him toward the school was a group of Styx soldiers, along with a squad of guards from Briar Valley.
He shouldn’t be surprised. Malleus not only overblotted, but his phantom created a dark spell that enveloped the island. It was natural that they would be called and forced to work together.
‘I hope they don’t blame Malleus or his father.’ Guilt filled Silver as he realized that, once again, Malleus and Lilia would be punished because of him. Sebek would be as well if they accused him of not doing his job correctly. (An accusation that would wound the boy to his core.) However, the blame didn’t lie with any of them.
Had Silver been strong and not broken in front of Malleus and burdened him with his feelings then his prince would never have felt the need to “bless” everyone and blotted.
Silver’s fingers gripped the bark so tight that he tore some off.
“Dammit,” he muttered through his teeth, disdainful of himself. He just kept making things worse and worse, didn’t he? Not just for Malleus, Lilia, and Sebek, but for everybody.
This thought strengthened his resolve, and Silver knew he had to leave before he was discovered. Jaw-clenched, he pushed himself off the tree and set off. But then--
“Silver?” Silver’s voice caught in his throat.
‘That voice--’ He turned and met the multicolored eyes of Baul, Sebek’s grandfather.
When Silver and Sebek were young, Baul would stop by to check on Sebek’s progress. As such, the two knew each other well enough.
The old man still looked like he had 400 years ago in Lilia’s as if time didn’t dare touch him. If not for the scales on his face and his sharper features, he would look just like his youngest grandson.
The realization hurt Silver, and many emotions flooded Silver as he recalled the warrior fighting tirelessly to protect his home and kingdom. It was easy to imagine Sebek battling the human invaders.
Invaders who were only there because of Silver.
Silver tensed as the older fae approached, eyes glowing against the dark.
“What are you doing here?” he inquired, his gruff voice hiding his concern as he looked Silver over. “Where're Sebek and General Vanrouge?”
Silver swallowed. He couldn’t tell the truth. Baul would drag him back to Lilia and the others if he did.
“They’re fine. They’re helping Lord Malleus and the others right now at the Diasomnia dorm,” he explained. His gaze dropped as he added, "I was sent on Fa...Lilia’s orders were to check out the island and make sure everything was alright. That way, I could put Malleus’ mind at ease.” The words felt like bile burning his throat but between this and the truth...
Baul frowned; however, as this was Silver, he had no reason not to believe him.
“And Prince Malleus?”
“He’s fine,” Silver said quickly, hoping that wasn’t a lie. “Everyone’s a bit out of it, but no one’s hurt.” Baul sighed in visible relief, his shoulders sagging.
“Everyone on the island is okay as well. Briar Valley and STYX have been working together since the barrier appeared to monitor them,” the other explained.
“Even so, I should see for myself,” Silver insisted. “Orders and all.” Baul numbly nodded, his relief and worry clouding his judgment at the moment. It was clear that he was desperate enough to get to his grandchild that he would let Silver do whatever he wanted at the moment.
“You shouldn’t be alone, orders or not,” he said after a moment, opening his eyes to look at the pale teen. “We have no idea if there’s still any danger from the overblotting.”
“I understand,” Silver said quickly, worried that every wasted moment was giving Lilia more time to find him. “I’ll go to the Brair Valley soldiers and ask one to assist me.
“In the meantime, please go to my father and Sebek. I’m worried that they might be suffering as well and would feel better if you were there to support them.” While this was to get the man away, it wasn’t a lie, as Silver would feel better with the other on his family’s side. Baul nodded, his mind evidently filled with worry for Malleus, his old general, and his beloved grandson.
“Go to a STYX soldier instead so they can look you over,” he ordered. Usually, he would insist on escorting the other; however, his desire to check on Sebek trumped this action. “If any of the Briar Valley soldiers give you trouble, use my name and collect theirs. I’ll deal with them later.” With his position as a royal guard and his fearsome reputation, Baul carried a substantial amount of weight and power.
Silver nodded, guilt settling heavily on his stomach.
“I will,” he said, hoping Baul wouldn’t notice how thick Silver’s voice was. Baul returned the nod and then took off in the direction Silver pointed.
Once he was gone, Silver took off running, knowing that his time would be extremely limited.
Though the thought would sadden him later, he would admit that Lilia taught him well. By using the skills the fae gave him, Silver alluded to the guards, fae and human, alike. Once in a while, he worried that he had been caught again, but it didn’t appear to be the case.
Despite the risk the soldiers placed him in, he was glad he saw them. Their appearance made him recall Ortho’s tale of how Rook and Epel invaded STYX Headquarters by broom. The boy had been amazed and amused by the audacity (and stupidity).
Silver wasn’t sure how far a broom would take him, but he was sure it would take him far enough, for now, at least.
The gym yard was thankfully empty, and the biggest obstacle he had to face was tearing away the vines that covered the door. He winced and hissed as the large thorns stabbed into his palms. Yet he continued to yank until the doorway was freed. Not having a key, Sliver kicked down the door with a powerful kick, fueled by desperation.
As the door fell, Silver rushed in, grabbed the first broom in sight, and ran out into the field.
“Hey? Who’s that kid?”
"Isn't that Vanrouge's human?
“Oi! Stop right there!”
Crap! He had been spotted. But he wouldn’t be stopped! Not when he was so close!
‘This is it!’ No turning back now, he thought. Silver focused his magic on the broom and took off before the guards could reach him. Their cries followed him into the skies as Silver flew into the rising sun, leaving all he knew behind.
~End for Now~

🦈Rocking The Boat🩸
[Synopsis]: Azul offered MC/Yuu to perform a gif at the Monstro Lounge and let them choose what kind of performance they would do. Except he didn’t console with them as the Octo-schemer learned too late.
[Gender Neutral Reader]
[WARNING]: Foul language in the song and best advise to lower your volume when listening to the song.
[A/N]: This is one of my favorite songs from Ice Nine Kills when I first listened to their album, “The Silver Scream.” I highly recommend to lower your volume settings since the song can be loud in some parts and wouldn’t want to damage your ears.

[Monstro Lounge]
MC/Yuu: Are you sure you want me to perform?
Azul: Of course! You must have songs from your world many never heard of until now. It should bring more customers in.
MC/Yuu: Alright, but fair warning: it can get loud. Best to give a disclaimer if there’s anyone who may be sensitive to hearing and flashing lights. We also need a heads-up to any Mer-shark people who are present during the show.
Azul: Why would you need to add that?
MC/Yuu: You’ll see.
[8:30 p.m.]
Jade: Evening everyone. Tonight will be a grand show starring The Prefect from the Ramshackle Dorm. Before we start the special night, there will be warnings of high volumes and flashy light effects. We may also warn Mer-Shark civilians of the show.
Mer-Shark People in the audience: Why would they warn us?
Jade: They informed me it is a song about a great white shark that kills people.
Mer-Shark People: Oooh yeah.
Jade: Now, let the show begin.
[The lights dimmed and smoke effects cover the stage. Then reveals MC/Yuu, with a microphone in hand and inhales…]
MC/Yuu:
SHARK!!!!
Coast guard, this is the Orca. Do you read me?
Four and a half miles due east of Amity Island
This is an official distress call, over
We all know a place
That appears so sublime
But if you dive a little deeper
You'll hit the real bottom line
The head of the town is out there flashing his teeth
A telltale sign about to surface
That there's a monster lurking underneath
They're thrashing around but found
They can't contain the leak
'Cause I've got a fish to fry
That's feeding on the weak
So cast a line for every life they took
It's time to set the-
Lilia, as the supporting lines: Hook!
We're all just floating in a shallow grave
Lilia: Buoyed by the blood of the masses
They'd rather sell out that instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
Lilia: You think we would've learned from the past
That the predator will soon become-
Lilia: The prey!
We all know a place
Where the calm flees at night (night, night)
And safe is just a shadow
So we swim towards the light
If this voyage of valor
Put us on deck for death
We'll compare scars with each other
Until our very last breath
Lilia: Yeah!
They're thrashing around but found
They can't contain the leak
'Cause I've got a fish to fry
That's feeding on the weak
So reel it in with every trick in the book
It's time to set the-
Lilia: Hook!
We're all just floating in a shallow grave
Lilia: Buoyed by the blood of the masses
They'd rather sell out that instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
Lilia: You think we would've learned from the past
That the predator will soon become-
Lilia: The prey!
Coastguard, this is the Orca again
We need you out here now
The boat is under attack, it's a great white, over
Roger that, ETA fifteen minutes, over
In fifteen minutes we'll be fucking shark bait
Last chance to make amends
Lilia: So try to stay afloat
With sharks like you among us
Lilia: We'll need a bigger boat
Sold us down the river
Lilia: So the rich could stay rich
But now you've been caught
Lilia: So smile…
You son of a bitch
Sinking with the burning embers
Should be any sign of doubt
That this tale will be remembered
And the tide will forever flush them out
We're all just floating in a shallow grave
Lilia: Buoyed by the blood of the masses
They'd rather sell out that instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
Lilia: You think we would've learned from the past
That the predator will soon become-
Lilia: The prey!
[After the song was finished, the audience applauded and whistled.]
[After the show]
Azul: Prefect, that was…
Floyd: AWESOME! Shrimpy surprised everyone tonight.
MC/Yuu: Thanks, but you can compliment Lilia for his vocals.. It wasn't easy screaming the parts and had to practice. It woke the Ghosts up because they thought a Banshee came by.
Azul: The song came from your world and based on a killer shark.
MC/Yuu: Yeah, from Steven Spielberg's movie "Jaws". I still get excited to watch parts where Bruce gets his victims in the water.
Azul: You scare me sometimes, Prefect. You really do.

Yuu get´s sick and the Dorms have to take care of them Diasomnia
Diasomnia
Malleus
the only reason why he knew that you were sick is that during one of your nightly walks you didn´t appear and Malleus just just walked into Ramshackle
he actually just went in there to complain about you missing your meeting with him
he also didn´t notice you were sick at first
or that you were asleep while he acted passive aggressive
he only noticed when you woke up and asked him why he was here
I´m sure everybody can guess but a pampered prince, no matter how much of sad boy he is, won´t be a good caretaker
even worse when you are a Human and your caretaker doesn´t know how to handle them
he also gave his caretakers a heart attack because he didn´t tell anybody that he stays at Ramshackle
there was so much chaos in one day, at the end of the day everybody was screaming, Sebek fainted and Silver didn´t fall asleep for the entire day
Lilia
you need some serious luck and divine intervention to survive
he brought you some food he made himself, but you were fortunate enough to have Silver warn you before hand
it did not stop Lilia from trying to get you to eat it though, he even tried to scare you and then force feed you
you spit in his face for that one, luckily he thought you had to cough and that it was an accident
he also thought it was a good idea to sing you a lullaby
only problem was that he does not know what a lullaby is and that he pretty much ruined your ear drums
you do not know how he could raise a Human infant and you feel really bad for Silver
your so glad when he´ll leave
Lilia is a menace and even worse when you are sick and he keeps jumpscaring Grim
it´s so bad now that Grim refuses to walk anywhere on his own when Lilia is around
Silver
out of everybody from Diasomnia he is probably the best to look after you
which is most likely because he had to look after himself for a long while
despite him falling asleep multiple times and even once on the stove, he was very lucky you saw him and that it was off
he also spent the majority of the time sleeping somewhere and scaring Grim without meaning to
he falls asleep in such weird places and Grim always forgets that Silver is staying there
for example Grim wanted to go to the toilet and screamed because Silver was lying on the ground and he thought someone killed him, considering how the Ghosts acted when you guys first appeared not that far fetched
Lilia also came over to look after Silver and even brought him some food
both of you made sure to safely get ride of it
Sebek
the only time this would have been a good idea is if you wanted to be deaf instead of sick
and of course want to hear endless, almost stalkerish praise form Sebek the entire time
it´s almost scary how much Sebek knows about Malleus, if he wasn´t Sebek and it was expected of him
but he was decent with looking after you, if you ignore the fact he was still acting as if he is better than you because you are a Human
you actually thought he was going to pop a blood vessel when Malleus came in the night to visit you
if you thought you were about to go deaf before, now you definitely will
even when Malleus leaves he won´t leave you alone
this will be a very long time being sick...

Incorrect and heartwarming Twisted Wonderland quote I wrote on my birthday
Apologizes if they’re out of character
Me seeing General Lilia: You are an absolutely stunning, murderous little creature
———————————————————————
Ace: Your important to me, you piece of s**t
———————————————————————
Deuce: Did you just fall?
Epel: No. I attacked the floor
Deuce: Backwards?
Epel: I’m freaking talented!
———————————————————————
Malleus talking about Silver: He is my brother. It doesn’t matter that we aren’t related by blood
———————————————————————
Ruggie: I’m staying in the sleep study department. All I have to do is wake up every three hours going AH-AAAAHHHH!! And I get two credits
(This is my favorite line in Community and I want to put it in )
———————————————————————
Malleus: I’ve discovered I loved you
Riddle: When did you discover this
Malleus: Since all my decisions started to revolve around you
(I can’t help it, they’re my comfort ship)
———————————————————————
Leona: Your existence gives me a headache go stand over there
———————————————————————
Lilia: Magic can kill. Knives can kill. Even small children launching at great speed could kill
———————————————————————
Trey: You have me, until every last star of the galaxy dies, you have me
———————————————————————
Grim: In my defense I was left unsupervised
(This is what happens if MC is sick)
———————————————————————
MC: You’re weird
Deuce: Sorry
MC: That was a compliment
———————————————————————
MC to Lilia after learning about his past: Your hands are scarred from murder and yet I trust them completely
———————————————————————
Sebek: I’m not here to make friends!
MC: This isn’t a choice
(You’ll be with the first year gang wether you like it or not)
———————————————————————
Ace: We play dumb but we know exactly what we’re doing
(Do you really?)

How could one be so attached to another that he was willing to keep a withering body? As Malleus was always, always, no matter how hard he tried... He'd scare anyone near him away... He was unable to make friends... Until he met them. A kind, loving soul that was willing to stay by his side who he had dreamt of not only taking their hand but for them to be by him for eternity.
Yes... He could have both. A selfish, selfish desire. Just with a little magic... Just with a little power... He could preserve their once rotting body for as long as he lived.
Malleus held their hand in his, looking at them with a thin smile he could reveal to only them after their death. Eventually, after staring at their closed eyes, his expression grew to be pained, distressed.
He was supposed to be strong.
Droplets of tears fell from his eyes to their cheeks, and he cried out, "Give me my (name) back..." under his breath, chanting it with broken sobs in between. He didn't know how many times he had uttered those few words, but at last, he had found his voice strained, and he finally knew no matter how much he cried or wailed... He had already lost them.

Ahaha... This couldn't be true. It can't be. He was just in a nightmare... Right? Right?!
He knew he shouldn't have turned his attention away from you. With the chaos that had arose overtime, he needed to protect everything around him, and he had been doing well... Until he saw you being mercilessly killed by an enemy.
His eyes widened as he tried his best to fend off whoever was trying to fight him, his guard lowered a little after witnessing what had happened. Everything around them had darkened. Was it nearing night? The moon hung high in the sky as screams continued to fill the area, Lilia occasionally snapping his head towards you to see your lifeless body on the ground.
If he only had paid a little more attention to you... You wouldn't have had to suffer like this, he thought. And if only he hadn't thought such.
Just seconds after he turned his head, he felt a piercing pain in his abdomen, and the object piercing him left his body and abandoned him to fall onto the ground. Eyes shaking as he stared at them and as the clouds covered the light of the moon from shining down at the warzone...
He knew he had lost his moon.

If he didn't focus so much on being a knight... If he wasn't so loud... If he didn't act before thinking, would he still be with them? He could only blame himself for losing them. He was the one who broke their heart first, not them. They tried their best to be supportive, cheering Sebek on whenever they could.
Now, whenever he was training outside of with Silver or Lilia... He'd find everything so much more exhausting. He no longer had someone watching at him with soft eyes, or sometimes reminding him to take breaks.
He hated every second of it, no matter how much he tried to deny it.
He hated himself for letting them go. Why didn't he realize earlier that he loved them so much? As a human, as a friend and as a lover. Sebek was sick of training. He didn't want to train if they weren't with him anymore, and although it hurt him to see them so happy without him, they were now freer than a dove. In fact, a dove so free that could easily fly high up into the azure sky to be left alone by other beings...
Beings like him.

"I don't want to do this." Silver mumbled, the tip of his cold blade just barely pressing against your chest. Why couldn't someone else do it? Why was he the one who was tasked to kill you... Why did the both of you have to suffer? Maybe you deserved it as a traitor... But he was innocent. He didn't deserve to feel what you had in your heart.
You reached your hand out to touch one of his cheeks, and Silver felt his heart break, bit by bit, knowing that that was the last time you'd ever touch him so warmly. You couldn't live. You betrayed all of them...
"Don't be sad... You know you have all the rights in this world to be mad at me." "I lied to you, so just kill me already."
How could one just... Say that? He knew you wanted him to quickly end it all, but he just couldn't, not for the life of him. The strong feeling of guilt, anger and emotions that would take over his body if he did was too much to handle.
Seeing this, you lifted your hand from his cheek, gabbing onto the sharp sides of the blade, blood being drawn from your hands.
"Hey Silver... If you don't want to do it, I can do it myself, you know." Silver opened his eyes as soon as he heard you finish your sentence. His expression only made you tighten your grip on his sword.
"What...?" Silver managed to choke out. "You heard me, and you know what I mean. You don't have to kill me if you don't want to..." You continued on, and he felt everything go silent. He heard it right both times.
"So... You don't need to tell them you didn't kill me."
"Just say the job's been done... Okay?"

I've had quite a field day reading the fics created by serenescribe & admiraltdevanto. Honestly they were so good that it was just what I needed to inspire me to complete a piece that's been stuck in my head for weeks. Granted you could probably see where I got the inspiration from though if anyone's willing to give advice I'm all ears. Other then that I hope you all enjoy!
-----------------
‘I don’t remember siring a child. Especially a human one!’
Silver knew it was only a dream.
Not only that, it was a dream of the past. Lilia’s past.
Of course within the span of 400 years anyone’s perspective of things is bound to change somewhat. But when General Vanrouge declares that he would never start a family, it made Silver begin to wonder about his life back in Briar Valley, about all the times his father would spontaneously travel for days on end, for weeks even. At first Silver had no qualms about it, his father was an adventurous spirit and it was only natural that he shouldn’t want to be bound in one place for too long, and besides.
Lilia would always return in the end, always with a warm welcome that even rivals young Silver’s
‘Have fun, Papa! I love you!’ Silver would say every time his father went off on another journey, with a smile that Lilia would say could easily open a purse. He didn’t mind that his father never said ‘I love you back’ as he’d always return the sentiment with other forms of affection, a tight hug here, a little nuzzle there, maybe a little kiss. Still the meaning was there, or so Silver thought until they were all thrown into this whirlwind of a dream. He was seeing destruction everywhere, all because of these Silver Owls, it chilled his bones and Silver shuddered at the thought of sharing a name with these. These. Unpleasant people.
Eventually he learns of the potential fate his Lord’s parents were about to face. His fury was not as loud or obvious as Sebek’s though he thought, how could anyone think to do that to an expecting couple, even though they are the enemy, that poor egg, who he knew would grow up into a lonely existence, with no parents, only a potentially distance grandmother and fleeting mentor, Silver could only mourn the loss of all the happy times his lord could’ve had had these interlopers stayed their hand. And then there was his father, in this dream they managed to save the Princess in time and rescue her spouse but that wasn’t enough for the General they soon realise. No he wanted to destroy the humans who dared attempt to kill Princess Mallenoa whilst she protects only her precious egg.
Killing the Dawn Knight wasn’t enough. Lilia had to make sure there was no one left to lead another attack.
What came next was a flurry of Bloodshed horror, gore, screams of the dying and the furious, and the blade of a general who’d cut down anyone who got in his way. Then it came as a devastating shock to Silver when those very same people began to mistake him for another, for the one called the “Dawn Knight” oh how they thought he was there to grant them salvation only for those hopes to to be sorely crushed by the onslaught of fae following behind him, the other humans were not aware of the death of their hero. By now Silver and the rest stood inside a ravaged nursery. A beautiful cradle lay shattered to bits among torn curtains.
And in the general’s hand hung a bundle of blankets with its wailing occupant inside.
He hadn't dwelt on it much, for how could he when everything had been so utterly horrifying and fast. But now as he glimpses a wisp of a silver lock within the bundle, events of the past age become more adamantly clear he could only put two and two together, and the truth made his knees collapse painfully as a nauseating illness overtook him. In the distance Sebek was paralysed in fear at the sight of Lilia dangling the blankets in a death like grip, glaring at the screaming child as if it were a disgusting insect he would so love to crush.
Its just a dream. Its just a dream. Its just a dream, Silver kept telling himself, almost like a desperate prayer. That this wasn’t really what his father truly desired, a life where he still had his loved ones, a life where Silver never existed, possibly smited by the fae before him, the one who Silver has devoted his whole being to.
Did he really love me? He thinks as he and Sebek watch in horror as the general moves towards the window, almost in slow motion with the blood of Silver’s kin dripping from every angle. It was only by the interference of Baul and Sebek that Lilia stopped with just throwing the bundle out like it was nothing more than a rubbish bag, Silver didn’t hear what was said next. He didn’t need to.
Silver’s eyes met the general’s and as soon as the recognition in his eyes gleamed, Silver was out the door, tripping over bodies and pools of fresh blood, ignoring Sebek’s cries for him. He didn’t know where he was going, he just needed to get out of there, away from what was now reality, a nightmare that he’ll never wake up from.
In the distance there was a faint drip, drip, drip, and he blacked out.
‘Silver.’
A hand was stroking through his pale strands, something slimy and wet entangled in them and cooling his scalp. Fear grips his heart, with a startled yelp he smacks the hand away and throws himself in whatever direction his panicked mind fancied, all of a sudden he landed hard on a rough surface and he soon realised that he had suddenly woken up in the near comforting presence of his room. ‘Silver’ a voice murmurs hesitantly. Sliver choked back a sob.
No, he thought miserably, please not him. The once comforting gesture of Malleus’s hand rubbing his back soothingly only filled his already shattered heart with a deadly anguish, did Malleus know any of this? ‘It must have been horrible to witness’ the prince whispers ‘I must apologise Silver, I would have conjured something else had I known any of this would happen.’ Silver says nothing, he was too afraid to turn his head, to turn and face the creature that was once his prince and beloved guardian. But a clawed finger grabbed his chin and gently tilted his head so he was staring into the cold green gaze of Malleus’s overblot ‘Silver’ Malleus repeats ‘did you forget how to greet your prince?’ There was no bite in his tone, only a knowing sadness ‘d-did he-’ Silver gasps ‘he really tri-tried to-’ he couldn’t bear the thought of finishing that sentence, everything hurts, it hurts! He crumpled to the floor in broken wails similar to the infant he had just seen, the anguish was crippling. Silver knew he shouldn’t be bawling his eyes out and choking on trapped words in front of the “enemy” but what else was he to do? He was already in Malleus’s clutches, both figuratively and literally as the overblotted prince had taken to wordlessly manoeuvring Silver into his lap and holding him close like he had done when the boy was younger ‘I don’t know’ Malleus answers at last ‘I had never really questioned why Lilia would take in and care for the child of our enemy but now I wonder…’ Silver’s breath hitched as he felt the prince’s grip tighten, was this it? Was this where Malleus takes vengeance for his parents? Silver wouldn’t blame him if he so wished for it. But then the fae reaches down to his belt and relinquishes Silver’s magic pen from it’s holster ‘fear not Silver, for how could I ever blame a child for the sins of their parents’ he coos dipping the pen to tilt up his chin. Silver is suddenly hit with a wave of utter exhaustion ‘wh-what they did was unforgivable’ he whispered hoarsely ‘how could I ever just continue as your knight after learning of the carnage they have wrought.’ How could I hope to save you from this overblot now if my family had set the path for it. The magestone was cool to the touch against his skin, he was so exhausted he curled into its cold embrace in hopes that it would lull him back into sleep. But what will that do? A voice whispers in his ear, you’ll merely end up back to Father’s dream, to a place where you are not wanted, to the reality that you can’t bear to face.
I don’t care, he thinks back, I’m already in pain, but if I don’t help Fa-Lilia and the others wake up, and save Malleus, then what's the point?
If it brings them any solace then I will disappear from their very lives if I have too. For who will mourn the loss of a boy who was nothing but a reminder of past tragedies. ‘Oh what on earth are you thinking about dear Silver?’ Malleus says suddenly, brushing away Silver’s bangs from his face ‘don’t ever think you are like them. Don’t ever think you are like the Dawn Knight.’ Silver shivers when blot drips onto his face ‘for you are not the knight of Dawn Silver, you are the knight of dreams. My knight of dreams.’ Malleus peers down at him, a strange, gentle smile on his lips ‘do not think you are free from what your lineage has done, you have devoted your loyalty to me, yes? Your servitude shall act as atonement,’
‘Y-yes my lord, but-’
‘As you have said before, what they did was unforgivable Silver, I’ll still never blame you but for such transgressions, you’ll never be done atoning for their crimes. You’ll always be mine.’
Malleus’s words stabbed Silver in the chest, if he were in his right mind he would have protested to some degree. Though all he felt at the moment was total numbness. He’s right, What better use have I? Surely after this Lilia would be glad to be rid of me.
‘Why Silver, you have gone all pale and lifeless, you have truly been abandoned, haven’t you.’ the prince remarks, watching as the colour begins to fade from the young boy’s eyes. He begins to see the signs of what he was hoping for.
‘You feel it don’t you, Silver? The pain of abandonment and betrayal.’
‘No, you're wrong!’
‘Denial will only hurt you further, let it out child.’
Silver wanted to scream. Images of that wailing infant, the general’s cold look of disgust, watching as he was all too ready to toss the bundle out like rubbish. ‘It was only a dream, created by you! Father does love me!’ Malleus lifted an eyebrow ‘does he love you?’ he says as if already knowing the answer. The words die in Silver’s throat, he thinks back to all the times he’s said ‘I love you’ to Lilia, but never had them reciprocated.
Does he love you?
Something wet dripped from his eyes, Silver held his hand out, only to stare in shock as little drops of ink pooled between his fingers ‘how in the-’ Malleus didn’t reply, merely lifting Silver’s magestone up where he could see.
Blot. lots and lots of blot. So much blot that there was hardly a speck of colour left in the stone as it seemed to overflow, trickling down the baton ‘do you see now? It is inevitable,’ the prince explains, wrapping his arms around Silver once more, ‘just give in, child, how else are you to serve me?’
‘I-I-I can’t! I won’t!’ Silver wails, fear taking hold as he thrashes in Malleus’s grip. He can’t overblot. Not now! NOT NOW! ‘What do you have to lose Silver? Your father? You just claimed that he didn’t want you, perhaps he never did.’ the prince pinches him by the cheeks, making sure that he was staring into his eyes ‘but now there is someone who does Silver, all you need is to let go. Give in to the darkness’ Silver felt his eyes growing heavier by the second, no… he thinks, please, no more, just let this all end. ‘It will child, just let go.’
‘Embrace the darkness.’
Somewhere in a wonderful dream, an old general wakes up.

a room too small for two.
Tumblr media
From birth, Lilia has been doomed to watch the rise and fall of kingdoms. He watches as the times change and as everyone around him comes and goes. It’s almost like watching a picture show.
The door that everyone leaves through is always open— waiting, almost tauntingly, for him to make his way through at long last. But he stands in a quiet corner and watches as everyone leaves.
Sometimes they come back and leave again. Most times they never come back and he waits until their faces mar until he can no longer remember. Even portraits are blurred and later replaced with new ones of faces he sees now.
The cycle continues.
Lilia doesn’t think that it’s unfair. People will come and go. Sometimes the best course of action is to hold the door open and say “Thank you for staying.”
He knows very well that no one can stay even if they want to. That room he traps himself in is only built for one. It couldn’t possibly sustain more than himself for long. He knows many things— most of it is just useless knowledge nowadays. But he knows all too well that one day even Malleus will leave him and that he’ll have to watch as Silver leaves through that door too.
Somedays he wishes he was strong enough to walk through it, but he always finds himself waiting for that one person who will never be able to stay.
Although everything comes to an end, Lilia doesn’t believe in happy endings.
He doesn’t see a happy ending when you die once and he doesn’t see it even when you leave for the very last time.
At the very least, when life makes its final stop, he wants to spend it with you. If you begin slipping through his fingers, he will turn to ashes and join you in the wind as you fly away for the last time.
But… for now, he will be content with watching you dance in the rain and laugh in the hallways between classes.
Tumblr media
There are whispers in the quiet night that say Lord Vanrouge died over and over. There are whispers that say that he will never rest in peace for he is a being that death cannot touch.
There are rumours that spread throughout the Briar Valley that say something terrible is going to happen soon. They say that one of their own will be gone soon. They whisper and talk throughout the long nights, but everyone knows that Lilia Vanrouge died all those years ago when his beloved left the first time.
Everyone knows that heartbreak hasn’t been kind and that his poor heart won’t be able to carry that sickness any longer. Everyone knows that he can’t handle another loss.
What nobody knows is that Lilia knows he won’t make it past this next school year. He knows it in the way that he watches the moon, saying his goodbyes to the stars and night sky. He knows it when he watches every Overblot come and go. He knows it when he watches it all wear down on you because you were always too stubborn to leave someone behind.
The thing with love is that it always gets someone killed. Just because the pages come to an end and the words say ‘Happily Ever After’ doesn’t mean that the end is just as sweet. Just because the general went from cruel and bloodthirsty to being capable of love and affection doesn’t mean that every last problem gets fixed.
Someone always leaves first. There aren’t any stories where they all die together and get to be happy. There’s always someone left behind to pick up all the pieces and hide them away in a little box under the floorboards.
Now that he’s one foot out the door, he wonders whether or not someone will find those boxes filled with marred memoirs and letters and other little trinkets. He wonders if his name will still be remembered as the centuries pass. Will there be anyone who will mourn for him the way he did for you?
Death is a quiet little thing. Death is kind as he takes their hand and walks out the door. It’s kind even as he tells you that he’ll wait for you so that you can both pass on together in the next life.
He holds your hands, cups your cheeks and says goodbye as he finally leaves that room that was too small for two. Lilia tells you to wait a little before moving on again. He tells you to live long and experience life to its fullest as you never could before. Then you’ll come find him and you can walk together in the gardens of life for however long you want.
(Forever is what he wants with you even if it’s just a single lifetime or if it’s a hundred more.
Love is a cruel little curse and heartbreak is a sickness that never heals. But he'd suffer all that and more to be happy with you in whatever life is next because he knows that this life was never meant to be.)
When he exits the room, he leaves the door open and says 'thank you for your time.'

@koko-loko @zeldaisapuppy
Im gonna see if i can remember how everyone dies in the second arc of the self aware au and (attempt?) to put them in chronological order. Here we go
BIG BIG TWS FOR LIGHT GORE DESCRIPTION, SUICIDE, AND GENERALLY KINDA BRUTAL DEATHS JESUS CHRIST WHAT WAS ALL THIS
Lilia, Sebek, Silver + Staff + Grim: Killed before Player's kidnapping for use in ritual
Ortho: Destroyed by Cater for trying to stop the ritual
Jack, Epel, Ace, Deuce, Ruggie: Killed and shelled in order to be controlled by Malleus's thorns
Leona: Thrown off high ledge by Vil
Vil: Forced to stab himself with glass shards by Jamil
Rook: Impaled by Jamil for trying to save Vil
Jamil: Turned catatonic via glass box by Idia
Riddle: Dismembered by thorn trap
Trey: Brains blown out by Azul for attacking Player
Kalim: Tossed into a crowd of thorn-filled mob students by Azul after attempting to kill Player
Azul: Failed to escape thorn students shortly after killing Kalim
Cater: Shot by Idia
Jade, Floyd: Tortured to death via thorns by Malleus in the mirror chamber
Player: Impaled with glass shards and decapitated(?) by Malleus
Malleus: Sliced in half via chainsaw by Idia
Idia: Ripped to pieces when he reset the game
ANYWAYS! Here's the kill counts! I'm lending Cater the credit for all the kills Malleus forced him into, and only counting the kills via thorns, glass box, or by his own hands for the insane man himself. THE MURDER AWARDS, presented from least kills to most!
Starting in our very last place is Vil, with one very flat lion on the lawn of NRC's main building. At least they're both far from second place, being dead last. If this was a race for first death, though, they'd win first place.
Tying for second to last is Jamil and Azul with two kills each, and frankly I find this kind of hilarious. Even in unusually homicidal behavior, Azul just HAS to be right up close to Jamil. I honestly can't decide who has the more brutal kills between them, but Player is just about as traumatized by both! At least their combined four victims can enjoy Trey's cookies in the very brief afterlife they have before the world resets.
Separating himself from having a three-way tie via adding HIMSELF (willing and knowing self-termination) is Idia, our very last survivor! Until he isn't! We all know exactly HOW he survived, by staying as far away from the action as physically possible until he saw an opening for a quick snipe here and there, but hey, at least he made up for scrolling through player's private data by trying (and failing quite miserably, frankly) to be the hero at the very, very end of it all! No one is surprised. But at least he renewed everyone for a season 2 of living!
And here we have a MASSIVE jump in numbers from 2-and-himself to a whopping and indisputable TEN, we have Cater! At least he got his hugs. And the little picture of Player he wanted ever since that vignette... It becomes a lot more plot relevant later.
So appropriately for his character, Malleus just HAS to overshadow everyone, even if by just the slimmest margin of one single character, that being Player. Unless you're counting mob students, then we jump from double digit death count to triple! :D!! He IS the boss for a reason, and thus wins today's Murder Awards!!!!

Hello! I saw your Christmas event! Cater or Azul with 6?
Christmas mission, fake date
Tumblr media
Day three: prompt 6 fake dating for Christmas dance. Azul ashengrotto x reader
Cw: gn reader
Authors note: none
Another thing the holidays are known for is for school kids, their schools to decide to profit off of them, and hold a dance for them. And it would again, appear that twisted wonderland was no exception to this rule.
Night raven college was a bustle of excitement, as the committee members worked on getting the cafeteria ready for their holiday dance.
The members of this committee, were Cater, Ace, Ruggie, Kalim, Lilia, Rook, Vil, Ortho, Jade, and the head of the committee, Azul.
All the preparations were well underway, the work of the members surprisingly going smoothly. Well, almost smoothly.
“So Azul-” the octopus in question jumped slightly, at the slippery eels appearance.
“Ah, yes jade?” he hummed, looking up from the paper work he was looking at, making sure everything was to be going smoothly. “Did something happen to the budget?” the eel shook his head.
“Not at all, all normal dance preparations are underway correctly” the silver haired boy raised an eyebrow.
“Then what is it?”
“Well, with this years addition of the new prefect, it seems more emotional preparations are taking place. And it seems many people are itching to ask them to join them for the plesantrys. “ the eel smiled his usual smile. “I was just coming to inform you, and to be polite and ask if you were looking to ask, before i release Floyd from his bounds to ask them himself.” the octopus scoffed and looked back down at the paperwork again.
“What do you take me for, a middle schooler? Go ahead and release him. Hes free to try. And Jade, please do not interrupt me again for such arbitrary questions again.” the eel nodded.
“Of course” and left.
And boy, did that mer boy regret saying those words afterwards.
The teasing alone was enough.
Though by the next day, y/n had came and hid themselves in his office, shaking their head. The octopus had raised an eyebrow at the entry, giving them a glance.
“Well good afternoon prefect, to what do i owe the honor of a visit by the most sought after student at night raven?” y/n groaned.
“Dont remind me, azu. “They huffed, sitting on the couch. Azul almost blushed at the context of the nickname, though the prefect had called them it before. They were friends, after all. “Why is everyone so obsessed with asking me out for the dance?” Azul stood up from his desk, getting two mugs after making some tea in them, and walked over to the couch, sitting next to them and handing them the mug as they talked.
“I have no idea, n/n. Im in a similar boat, the twins are pestering me to ask you.” he hummed, sipping his tea. y/n nodded.
“I know right? Why cant people leave us alone and stay out of our personal business. Floyd nearly tackled me yesterday to start his barrage of asks. “ azul nodded.
“Ah yes, if i remember his grumbles correctly, you told him to go suck a pufferfish? Though he seemed to think you didnt know those were poisonous.” y/n laughed, and azul cracked a small, rare genuine smile
“Yeah, well. Ill do it again if i have to.” y/n hummed, sipping their tea, before a quick spark came to their eyes. “I know something that will solve both of our problems.” azul smiled playfully.
“What, we kill the twins and the rest of the school and run away?” y/n chuckled and shook their head
“Nooooo, a much less violent method. We pretend like were going together more than friends so everyone backs off” azul hid a flustered cough into his mug.
“And why would you suggest that?” he hummed, playing it cool. y/n rolled their eyes.
“Because it is the best solution. Well know that were not actually going together more than friends, but the others will not have a clue. It gets the harassment off my back, and the twins off your back, for at least that purpose. “ y/n hummed. Azul contemplated, before nodding.
“I see. By all means, that does sound like a better, less death involved idea.” he smiled. “I will accept this idea. “ y/n laughed at his phrasing.
“Well alright then. We will go to the dance together. “ they hummed. “Oh, and thank you, azu” they hummed, finishing their mug, “ill see you around, ill take my mug back to the kitchen” they nodded, before taking their leave, in which azul closed the door behind them, locking it before grabbing a couch pillow and burying his face in it to let out an exasperated screech.
—----
The good news was it got them off of y/ns back, and partially off azuls.
The bad news was the teasing azul received afterwards, and the fact that he had to coordinate with them.
Were not even gonna get into the hassle of it all.
Dance night.
Azul had several last minute things to do, so he had gotten ready earlier in the day. y/n was to arrive with their first year friends, later, as he did have the stuff to do. The lighter blue tux he was wearing was fairly nice.
Now it was a half an hour after the start of the dance, and he was still waiting for y/n. He was naturally curious as to where they had gotten off too, but besides that he was actually slightly upset, thinking he did get stood up. Though once he realized, he had scolded himself internally. They were just going fake, as friends, to get others off of their backs.
So why did the idea of getting stood up hurt so much?
While he was in his thoughts about that, completely over analyzing his own feelings, y/n had appeared, and smiled playfully, waving a hand in front of his face.
“Yo hoo, wonderland to azu, come in azu, are we safe on wonderland?” azul snapped out of it, coughing his embarrassment away, as y/n chuckled. “You ok?”
“Mhm, sorry about that. What kept you up?” he coughed, smiling sharply. y/n chuckled again.
“Grim was refusing to put on the new bow, getting him into it was a struggle. Im sorry. “ they smiled mischeviously, “sorry for making you feel you got stood up” azul flushed the lightest bit.
“No such thing. I knew something had to be holding you up. “ he smiled, offering his elbow. “Let me show you where everything is.” he lead them around, to the food station, and the drinks, and the photo booth, which of course, they had to take a picture together, cause otherwise it wouldnt look like they were on a date. And why not get a picture, if you know your just friends.
Before floyd shoved them into the dance area, forcing them to dance before they got in the way of the other dancing people. Azul was quick on his feet, and good at the dancing, surprising y/n, as he had always refused to dance. Now y/n was the one who couldnt dance well, quickly trying to follow with their partner.
“So i hope you didnt have to work too hard on getting the event done” azul smiled proudly.
“Well, i did. But it turned out very well for it.” he hummed, y/n nodded.
“Well, im glad your proud of it.” y/n smiled warmly, and azuls head did a flip behind his ribs. (if he has any) “now you get to enjoy your hard work” azul nodded
“Exactly. Work hard to enjoy your hard work” y/n chuckled.
“Mhm.” they stopped them towards the edge of the floor, to not be in the way. “I would like to thank you for your hard work.” azul tilted his head.
“You already have” y/n smiled softly, before kissing his cheek. And azul froze, highly confuse.
“Thank you for your hard work azu, for helping me, for setting this up so well. Everything.” they hummed. Azul blinked rapidly. And y/n chuckled. “What, not what you anticipated, mr business man?” azul spluttered, and was very visibly flustered, y/n pulled away from the dancing position, as their friends were calling for them. “Merry christmas azu.”

TWST True Villains: Once Upon a Dream
A/N: I’m a little sad that this series is so close to ending ;;; this story is like,,, my  baby,,, and im watching it grow up ;;;;;
TW: Death, drugging, major character death, body horror
They walk with the boy, who keeps a comforting hand on the small of their back as they're led through the mirror. They gasp at the heaviness that hangs in the air along with the fog that seems to creep along the stone of the dorm. If they were to look down, they're sure that they could not even see their own two feet with how dense it was and how it clung to the ground. Looking behind them, they notice how the entire dorm is guarded by a wall of thick, deep black thorns blocking off the rest of the forest from their view. The only opening in the thorn wall is the mirror, which sparkles softly, tempting them to turn back. Yuu stares up at the castle that towers over them across the bridge, the dark stone a dark shadow against the even darker sky that rumbles with thunder.
"Oh dear..." The boy sighs and Yuu jumps at how close he sounds to be. "Another storm, I suspect."
"I shouldn't be here..." Yuu mumbles, feeling that familiar sense of dread wash over them, leaving them barren and shivering despite their layers upon layers of clothing. They gulp and turn to the boy, frown present on their face as their fists clench at their sides. "I need to leave. Now."
"Where will you go?," He says nonchalantly. His voice is hushed as he turns to look up at them, smiling softly.
"I can't- not here-" They stammer out, feeling their hands begin to shake as hot tears well in the corners of their eyes. "I... thank you for your offer, but I-I went mad back there and I really need to go-"
"Back to your little dorm?" He asks, soft smile breaking into a grin. "With the headmaster's body?"
They gasp and cover their mouth with their hand. The boy before them makes a sound in the back of his throat, taking a step closer for each shaky step they take back. He gently cups their face in his small hands, his grin melting back into the warm smile he had shown them before.
"You're scared, my dear. I do hope you don't believe I'm manipulating you..." He frowns. "I merely wish to keep you safe."
"I-I," They look between him and the dorm, then back at the mirror. It would be so easy to run, but the boy had made a point. If he knew about the headmaster's death, who's to say that the rest of the school doesn't? They feel sick thinking that the other students could be hunting for them, tearing apart the school to find the person who somehow killed their leader. The grip on their face gets tighter and tighter as Yuu's breath quickens, their hands reaching for his own.
The boy releases their face and trails his icy hands down their neck, to where the marks from Idia were sure to stand out against their skin.
"Poor thing," He sighs. "Whatever have you gone through?"
They stay silent, scrutinizing the boy before them.
"Now," He claps once. Twice. "Shall we go?"
Feeling their throat constrict and words betray them by getting caught in their throat, they silently nod under the boy's steady gaze.
They begin to cross the bridge, Yuu's legs shaking beneath them as unease creeps up their spine. Their hair stands on edge as they realize what the feeling was, the feeling that had been following them since the moment they'd stepped through the mirror.
They were being watched.
"H-hey-" They stammer. "Is there anyone else...?"
The boy smiles, magenta eyes glimmering as he bares sharp fangs that glimmer in the moonlight. "You're quite perceptive, I'm surprised."
"So..."
"Silver, no need to hide in the shadows so. Come out and introduce yourself," The man pauses once they get to the other side of the bridge, a taller boy stepping out from the dark forest and staring at Yuu, aurora eyes narrowed at them. They try to shake off the nerves that follow the boy's downtrodden gaze at them, and at the look that he sends to his fellow dormmate.
"Lilia," The boy says, his soft baritone just above a whisper. "The Master has no need for company right now." There's a message beneath his words as he stares at Yuu.
"Hush, perhaps this little one can cheer him up!" The boy giggles, pulling them rather harshly past the boy. Yuu can only nod as he leads them through the large gates, ushering them along into the castle.
They trip on their own feet as they crane their neck to see Silver still following them. They see how his frown deepens when they make eye contact, his eyes opting to stare at the stone pathway as they clamor along the entryway to the dorm.
"Master Lilia!" A loud voice makes Yuu practically jump out of their skin as they look up at the tall boy, who glares down at them. "The Young Master is in no mood for these- these games!"
"Silver has made me aware..." Lilia rolls his eyes as Yuu looks around the room they were all standing in. "Sebek, this little one is going to be staying with us for a while. I believe you two are around the same age, no? It would be nice for you to have a little friend to keep around!"
With a flick of his wrist, the doors slowly begin to open. They feel something grab their arm roughly and they bite back a yelp when their neck snaps back and they notice how Silver holds a finger over his mouth, pausing as he allows Lilia to walk a distance away as he continues his conversation with the green haired boy.
"Hold your breath when they come near," He whispers, breath fanning across their ear. They bite their lip and nod, bracing as they jog to try to keep up with Lilia, shaking off their nervousness about being too close to Silver. Sebek turns and glares at them before striding off deeper within the palace, a thunderclap shaking the entire dorm with his absence. They can feel Silver's eyes burning into the back of their skull and they fight back the shiver that threatens to rise up their spine.
The walls are decorated with worn tapestries bearing the dorm's logo, and green flames illuminate the otherwise basic common room. Yuu notices how every single piece of furniture seems to be littered with scratches or knocked over completely. They don't see many of the students aside from the ones who are asleep on some of the couches, their chests rising and falling unevenly. Some of them laugh in their half-asleep state, and others' faces are contorted into ones of sorrow, some of them thrashing about in their sleep as they plead for whatever is haunting their nightmares to leave them be.
As they walk past one, Yuu catches the scent of something sickeningly saccharine, with the hint of something more bitter beneath it. They do as Silver says, noticing how the boys expression becomes more relieved.
"Oh, my dear Silver," Lilia chuckles, spinning on his heel and walking backwards along the room, his heels clicking against the tile as his eyes seem to practically glow in the poorly illuminated room. Yuu looks back to notice how Silver seems frozen in place, his lips pursed into thin lines along his face as his eyebrows knit on his forehead. They notice how his hand, always rested on the hilt of his sword, is clenched, his knuckles white as his shaky eyes scan over Lilia. "I do understand your concern, Child."
"Father, I-"
Yuu raises an eyebrow, their mind racing as they look between Lilia and Silver. "Father...?" They whisper. Silver looks down at his shoes.
"Spit it out, son," Lilia's tone turns dark, voice laced with venom as his smile seems to grow at his friend's- no, his son's- anxiety. Silver closes his eyes, taking in a deep breath as he finally opens them.
"They don't deserve this," He mumbles.
"Are you still hung up on what the other students have been talking about?" Lilia giggles and Yuu feels their legs tremble, feeling a pit in their stomach as their mind races and battles with the anxious  feeling of seeing and hearing what you're not supposed to. They break out into a cold sweat, looking around the room for an exit. "Perhaps I raised you to be too sheltered, after all."
"Yuu, run!" Silver shouts. They run past both boys towards the door, tripping over pieces of carpet that seem to fly up in front of their feet. The carpet seems to shake and move as though it were alive. Trembling and writhing as though it were a snake, threatening to coil around Yuu at any given moment.
They make it to the door, hand on the cold wood when they feel all their muscles go tense, cramping up in an unbearable pain as they find that they cannot even find the strength to blink.
"Father, let them go!" Silver's voice raises this time, echoing through the chamber. Lilia tuts, and Yuu can hear his footsteps approach Silver.
"I thought you would have learned after last time? Oh, Silver," They hear the rustling of fabric as Lilia hushes his son. "I understand why you are so protective of your own kind. It's only natural, hm?"
"Father, please, I can't be a part of this anymore..."
"You've always been such an empathetic child, so sweet, so caring..." Lilia sighs. "I wonder where I went wrong."
Another snap, and they hear someone's body hit the ground with a thud. Yuu gulps as their head begins to spin and they feel Lilia's presence approaching them from behind, his cold, clawed hands wrapping around the back of their throat. They feel a pinprick on the side of their neck and their eyes fall closed, forced into a deep sleep before their body can even hit the floor.
"-uu! Yuu!" Yuu screams as they awake, punching the person who was hovering over them. Cold grass tickles their cheek as they feel the familiar warmth of the sun dance across their skin.
"H-hey! Cut that shit out!" They hear the familiar voice scoff. Their eyes shoot open and they gape at Ace's annoyed expression. Tears well in their eyes and they practically tackle him to the ground, crying into his chest as he stammers and calls out for Deuce. "Yuu's being weird again!"
"Prefect!" Deuce pulls them off of Ace, only for them to latch onto him instead, hugging him close and sobbing into the crook of his neck, their hand rested lightly on the pulse point on his neck, each faint beat causing another flurry of sobs and whimpers to leave their throat.
"I-I'm sorry!" They sob, clinging to Deuce's blazer, gripping onto the lapels for dear life as they bawl into the fabric. Deuce shakily wraps his arms around their shoulders and holds them close. They scramble to hold him as close as possible, to feel his heartbeat through his NRC uniform and to confirm that he was okay.
"What did ya do to my henchman?!" Another squeaky voice calls out as they feel a soft, warm weight rest on their lap, paws smacking against their chest as they stare down at the creature, whose electric blue eyes are wide with concern.
"Calm down..." Another voice calls out. Their eyes shoot up and they see Jack walking alongside Epel, who places his bag down and crouches beside the Prefect.
"Jack..." They choke out. "Epel..."
"What got into you?" Epel asks them as he offers them some napkins that came with his lunch to wipe their tears away. They can't seem to catch their breath as relief washes over them. They look out over the scene before them. They were in NRC's courtyard at lunch, seeing how many students were currently out on the grass having picnics with their friends. They try to catch their breath, chest rising and falling violently as their eyes can't seem to focus on anything. Their arms shook as the first years looked between one another in confusion.
"I-I..."
"Hey, prefect-" They practically scream when they feel a hand on their shoulder as they whip around to face Ruggie, who stands with his eyes wide and hands up in their air. "Woah, geez..."
"Y-you-"
"What happened to you?" Ruggie looks past them and to the other first years, who either shrug or shake their heads at his question. "I was just gonna ask if you saw Leona..."
They can only shake their head, more tears slipping down their cheeks as the hyena pauses and then bids them goodbye, striding away and casting them a confused look over his shoulder.
"Cut it out, Yuu," Deuce sighs. "What's wrong? You were fine earlier today..."
"Did Crowley say something stupid to ya again?!" The cat monster on their lap huffs. "I'll show that guy a piece of my mind!"
"If he did, wouldn't you know?" Ace sighs. "You go everywhere with them..."
"We went last period and he didn't say anythin'! So he must've said it- said-" He trails off as he stares at the ground.
"It was just a nightmare, Yuu," Jack rests his hand on their shoulder. "You've been really stressed lately." The rest of the first years agree.
"I told you we shouldn't have let them take a nap!" The cat argues. Ace gapes, pouting.
"How is this my fault?!"
"I'm back!" A small voice calls. Yuu whips around and looks at Ortho, practically tackling him in a hug despite how much the metal hurts them. "Y-Yuu?"
"They just had a really bad dream," Deuce explains. "They've been like this since they woke up."
Ortho nods, walking with them to sit them down. They practically cling to their friends, both hands holding Ace and Deuce's, their leg resting atop Epel's as they lean back into Jack's chest. Ortho sits in front of them, giving them instructions on how to properly calm down.
"Five senses, Yuu!" The boy cheers them on.
They look for five things that they can see, all five of their friends around them; Ace and Deuce bickering, Jack's bushy tail resting on their lap, Epel working on cutting up some of his family's apples for them all to enjoy together during their short break, and Ortho smiling up at them.
Four things they can feel. The warmth of the sun kissing across their face, the scratchy texture of their worn blazer, both Ace and Deuce's calloused hands in their own, and the gentle breeze that combs through their hair and cools their overheated skin.
They can hear the sounds of Jack's steady heartbeat from behind them; Ace, Deuce, and the cat quietly fighting again over who knows what; and the faint chirping of the birds nestled in the tree above them.
They can smell the sweetness of the apples that Epel cuts open and the familiar smell of the grass, freshly cut.
Finally, they try to focus on what they can taste. They wince when they feel the familiar metallic tang of blood resting atop their tongue.
"Yuu?" Deuce asks. "Shit! You're bleeding-"
"A-am I?"
"You probably bit your tongue or something while you were too busy losing your mind," Ace teases, offering them a sip of his water. Yuu gratefully takes it and tries to wash down the taste, only for it to remain. They drop it and it splashes against their arm, the warmth of it spreading across their arm. "Dude..." Ace sighs.
They smile apologetically at him, trying to wipe off the water to the best of their ability before it sinks even further into their clothes.
"Are you feeling better now?" Epel asks, handing them an apple slice. They nod, smiling at him as they take a bite, gulping when they notice that it held a familiar taste to the blood that now filled their mouth. They feel the familiar sense of dread rise in their chest as they choke and gasp, Jack smacking their back a few times as they bite back tears.
"Was your dream that bad?" Ortho asks quietly. Yuu can only nod, wiping away their tears with their blazer. They hear a distant scream and their head shoots up. Their friends look between one another, eyebrows knitted on their forehead in concern. "Yuu?"
"Should we take them to the infirmary?" Epel asks. Ace shrugs and stands, motioning to hold their hand out. They accept it and he pulls them to their standing, their legs giving out beneath them as the redhead yelps and fumbles to keep them off the ground. He wraps his arms around their waist, hoisting them up.
Their eyes blink a few times when their face makes contact with the white fabric of the Heartslabyul uniform, their face landing in the rose that sat atop Ace's shoulder. They try to relax, but catch a whiff of the rust scent that it carries.
They scream and try to push Ace off of them, tears streaking down their cheeks as they scramble away from their friends, the hurt looks on their faces making the ache within their chest hurt more.
"Y-you're..." They stammer.
"Yuu?"
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Cut it out?"
"Did we do something?"
"What the hell?"
"You're not real..." They gasp, covering their mouth with their palm as their friends frown down at them.
"Yuu, shut up," Ace sighs, hands on his hips. "We're real."
"Are you crazy?" Epel frowns. "Did ya hit your head on somethin'?"
"They're probably confused, let's give them some space." Jack suggests.
"Mhm!" Ortho nods at Jack before turning his direction back to them.
"Yuu?" Deuce asks, taking a step closer, despite their panicked sobs. "Everything's okay, we're all okay..."
The sky begins to darken as they all look up, the wind whipping around them as the other students in the area disappear, leaving just the small group in the center of the courtyard.
"Was it supposed to rain today?" Ace asks, stepping closer.
"Please, stop this. This is hell!" Yuu screams, nails digging into the cold earth beneath them. "Enough!"
Ace and Deuce gape down at them. Their jaw quivers as they look down at their lap, face flushing in embarrassment. They look back up once they hear Deuce gasp, watching as a thin  red line appears on both the boys' throats, blood dripping down onto their pristine white uniforms and staining the fabric red.
"N-no!" They sob as they watch the boy's heads roll off, hitting the ground with dull thuds as their lifeless bodies soon follow.
Yuu feel their head spin as they scramble for the boys, holding their heads close to their chest and screaming into their hair, ignoring the way the blood pools around their bodies. They gasp and sob, begging to wake up.
"Yuu..." They look up to see Epel reaching down for them, cupping their tear stained face in his warm hand. They raise their own hand to meet his, only to realize that it had been turned to stone, his touch now icy against their face.
They sob, feeling bile rise in their throat as their grip on his hand increases, the boy crumbling to dust before them and coating the heads of the Heartslabyul students in a thin layer of white.
They scream for Jack, only to notice him face forward on the ground, dozens of arrows sticking out of his back as he all but howls into the dirt, a low and mournful final cry as his outstretched hand goes limp just centimeters away from their thigh. Arrows continue to rain from the sky, digging deeply into his back and thudding deep into his flesh, making the beastman's body  twitch with every new addition.
"Stop this!" They scream into the sky, their throat constricting around their words and making them choke on every sob and pleads as they look up to notice how Ortho hovers over them, his eyes wide in horror as he screams, voice breaking into dozens of other voices- some male, some female, some falling anywhere in between, some of them robotic, and other didn't even sound human. His bright yellow eyes roll back, inky oil leaking from the sockets and from his mouth as he collapses on top of them.
"Stopstopstopstop!" They wail, trying to hold all of their friends close. The wind begins to pick up, whipping everything in the courtyard around. Pieces of Epel's stone flies through the air, Ace and Deuce's heads are all but blows out of their arms, rolling away uselessly. It picks up some of the arrows sticking out of Jack's back, whipping through the air and threatening to scratch at them.
One of the arrows flies into the side of Ace's head with a sickening squelch that makes Yuu's stomach turn as they slam their eyes shut before they can witness his head roll further, both hands over their mouth as they try to wake up from this nightmare they were trapped in. The wind whips and bites at their skin as they crumble onto the ground, mind racing as their breath comes in and out in short gasps. A crippling freeze constricts their entire body isolating itself in their arm where it spreads further and further.
Yuu chokes on their sobs as they try in vain to lift their now completely numb arm, feeling hopelessness wash over them when they're unable to lift it more than an inch off the ground.
The wind picks up speed as the ground beneath them vanishes along with their friend's bodies, leaving them suspended in a black void that threatens to swallow them whole. Their stomach turns as they begin to fall, curling in on themselves as they brace for the impact tha would surely occur when they hit the ground.
They gasp awake when they feel a pinprick atop their forearm, blurry eyes still adjusting to the dimly lit room. They can barely make out the sounds of a struggle, of a cry for help followed by bodies hitting the wall and flesh hitting flesh.
They open their eyes, terror coursing through their veins as they look to see Lilia, blood dripping from his mouth as he grins up at them, chuckling under his breath at their frozen expression.
"Shattered my illusion quiet easily," He comments, going back to drinking from their now numbed arm. They still find themselves unable to move as terrified tears stream down their face and they choke, gasping for air.
They try to call out to Silver, only seeing glimpses of his struggle with Sebek, the younger boy's choked cries as he apologizes to the other boy and babbles nonsense about their "Young Master" and "order" in between blows. They hear Silver groan followed by a thud, Sebek's pained shouting echoing throughout the corridor. The thunder continues to roar somewhere outside the castle, now much more frequent than it was before and shaking the stone beneath them, the metal candelabras shaking and jostling with each turn, one of the green flames falling to the ground and catching on the carpet behind Silver, who hisses when the flame licks up his leg and sears through his pants.
Yuu feels a wave of nausea crash over them as they gulp back a sob, trying to conserve as much air as possible as their head spins and their eyes roll to the back of the skull, feeling the numbness spread throughout the rest of their body as the man continues to drink from their arm.
Tears stream down their face as they try to muster as much energy as possible to get away from the man, pleading to him with what little was left of their voice. He pulls himself off of them, holding their head to his chest and singing a soft lullaby as they sob quietly.
His touch is warm for once, his eyes having gained a new light from his meal. Yuu can only stare in horror once their confused mind makes the connection.
"You..." They slur quietly, the unsettlingly soft lullaby drowning out their soft voice. "You... you're taking my..."
"Shh..."
They begin to sniffle and sob silently, tears dripping onto the stone below them. "My..."
"Your spirit, my dear," Lilia corrects them, licking the substance from the corner of his mouth. "It's what keeps us fairies so young; the spirit of the youth. Quite fascinating, hm?" Their shoulders shake with soundless cries as the man continues to hush them.
They scramble away from Lilia, practically crawling away from the man on the ground, hands shaking as their vision fades in and out. Over the sound of their own blood rushing through their ears and the clashing of swords, they can make out Lilia's soft, sadistic chuckle as he watches them attempt to escape. The rough fabric of the carpet pulls at their wounds as they gasp, feeling their chest constrict with each pull of their body. They choke back a yelp as they watch one of the swords slide along the stone with a harsh grating sound, landing in front of them.
Yuu reaches out and grabs the hilt, rolling onto their back and holding it out to the best of their ability, head lolling as they try to stay awake for as long as possible to fight off Lilia and Sebek. The world around them spins as they slam their eyes shut and try to focus on the scene before them.
They watch as Sebek wrestles with Silver off to the side of the common room, a distance away from were Lilia was feeding from them in the center. Their harsh shouts ring through the hallway as the younger boy tries to wrangle Silver's sword out of his hand as Silver pleads with him to listen. Lilia watches from the sidelines, amused at their actions as his gaze trails back to Yuu, his face breaking into a wide grin that sends chills down their spine as he goes back to the fight.
"But the Young Master-" They hear Sebek shout, his voice sounding as though they were at the bottom of a pool, and the boy was just above the surface to Yuu's tired brain.
"I don't care-!" Silver shouts, shoving the boy back.
Yuu watches as Sebek stumbles backwards, the sword in their hands cutting cleanly through the boy's back, spraying crimson all over them as the boy howls in agony.
As if snapping them out of their haze, they scream, the weight of Sebek and his sword on top of them crushing their lungs as they wail and kick their feet to get him off, choking when they notice how every movement makes the boy above them groan louder, screaming when the hilt is up against his back.
They hear him choke for a few seconds, coughing as they let the sword go and he rolls off to the side, screaming in agony as the angle of the sword begins to change it's angle, slicing even deeper into the boy who gasps and wails, begging for Lilia or his Master to save him, pleading to be let go.
They watch in terror as he goes limp, looking down at their bloodstained arms and torso.
"Murderer..." They mumble to themselves, tears streaming down their eyes as they gag at the scent of rust that coats their entire body- the blood of the boy that laid to their side, wide yellow eyes staring at them accusingly and mouth contorted open into a permanent scream, bloodstained fangs glimmering in the candlelight.
"He's here~" Lilia walks over to them, crouching beside them and running his hand along the sides of their cold face. Yuu can't seem to fight back, their jaw quivering as it takes everything within them to not take the sword out of Sebek and to run it through their own chest, to end their suffering. Lilia runs his tongue down their arm, licking up the blood that mixes in with their own as he wraps his lips around their pinky finger and bites down.
They writhe in agony, wailing as they watch the man spit out their finger off to the side. Blood gushes from the wound and spills onto the floor as Yuu feels their head begin to spin again. They turn their head to the side and release what little was in their stomach, coming up in sad spurts of mostly water as they choke and gasp.
They flail their limbs and kick at the man, vision entirely white with agony as they clutch their hand to their chest, gritting their teeth as their back arches and their breath quickens. Sweat breaks out along their entire body as even their own screaming goes too quiet for them, their voice raw and leaving them with short sobs and whines as they turn on their side and curl into themselves, pleading for it to just end.
"Father, please-" Silver begs, taking a step towards the man who simply smiles at his son and takes a step forward. Silver shakily raises his sword, tears streaming down his soft face as he hiccups and sniffles. "Enough of this. I'm begging."
"Silver," Lilia takes another step, lightly taking the sword from his son's hand as he gently holds it in his own. He cups the boy's face and presses a light kiss to his forehead. Silver takes a shaky breath as tears flow freely down his flushed cheeks and his back shakes with quiet sobs. "Forgive yourself."
"I-" Before Silver could utter another word, Lilia raises the sword, the blade pointed at his chest, and he drives it into his chest. Silver wails as Lilia collapses, grin still present on his face as he turns to Yuu, giving them their first earnest smile since they'd met the man.
"Father! Father, please!" Silver sobs, cradling him in his arms, hands pressing over the wound as he sniffles and practically screams for help. "Fath-" He chokes on his sobs, burying his face in his father's neck as his entire body begins to shake. "Papa!" He bawls. The man's hand falls limp at his sides as the glimmer leaves his magenta eyes.
"How sad," A voice erupts from the darkness, the storm outside raging as all the candles in the room blow out at once, leaving them all isolated in the darkness.  "How could humans be so cruel?" The voice asks, sadly looking over to Lilia. "Killing your own father in cold blood..."
"I-" Silver chokes on his words, face contorted in grief as he looks up to the horned man. "I didn't-" He breaks off into more sobs, holding the man close to his chest. "Why would he-? Why-?"
"That I cannot answer," The tall man strides over to Yuu, cupping their face in his hands. "How strange..."
Behind the man they can still make out the panicked sobs of Silver as he pleads for his father to wake up, the boy's voice getting higher and more raspy with each rough sob that shakes his form.
The knuckle of Yuu's pinky burns, the blood still pouring out of the wound as he crouches beside them, lifting their hand and inspecting the wound.
"Kill me," Yuu pleads, voice breaking in desperation. "Just kill me, please."
The man smiles and shakes his head, fear and hopelessness turning to anger and running through Yuu's veins. "I should provide you with no such solace."
"You asshole!" Yuu hisses, entire body shaking as they crawl towards the man, gritting their teeth until they can hear the bone creak and feel the blood from one of the teeth, shattered under the pressure as blood pools in their mouth. It drips down their chin as they scowl at the man, who chuckles at their expression.
He takes their wound and lifts it to his mouth, making Yuu recoil with every ounce of energy they have left. He roughly grabs their arms with his one hand and Yuu screams as their broken arm is twisted and positioned in a way that makes the bone within the wound groan and heat spread throughout their arm. They sob as he grabs their jaw and roughly angles their head back, fangs bared as they feel his warm breath approach their jugular, sharp fangs trailing down the fragile, bruised skin.
They slam their eyes shut, heart in their throat as they squirm and sob. They feel his fangs scrape against their skin and they wail, gasping as their vision goes black.

Why do we bother to stay? Why are you running away? Don’t you feel like severing?
Inktober Challenge: Day 1; “Listen to me!”  |  Use a song to inspire your art for today!
Trigger warning(s): *hints at suicidal thoughts *blood
Spoiler Warning(s); Twst Chapter Seven
Silver had no idea where he was or how he got there. But he knew he had to leave, or he would never leave. However, he hadn’t even taken a single step before the trap was sprung. Silver gasped as the inky black threads wrapped around him, then winced as they cut into his pale flesh, drawing blood. He watched as the red leaked out of his skin and the black ink seeped in, turning his skin gray. ‘No, no!’ Silver attempted to pull away, but it was like he was trapped in a web and his struggles were just attracting the attention of a spider.
Behind him was a Phantom, but it was like none he had ever seen. It had a head of an ink bottle with cracks around the middle, allowing ink to dribble out. It wore a gown that was ever-changing from blue to pink that fluttered like a flag in the wind with a crown of gold and a necklace. Silver swallowed. “Who…What… Why are you here?” Petals drifted from the rose on its head as it stared at the teen. “I’m here to take you away from it all.” It reached out, but Silver jumped back. “NO!” He yanked the sword from his side and threw it into the Phantom’s chest. Ink leaked from the wound like pools of blood as the blade pierced it. However, the creature didn’t seem to be in any sort of pain. It tilted its head, golden crown glinting in the nonexistent light. “Why do we bother to stay?” The Phantom’s voice echoed about in a quiet whisper, gentle and sad. Long, golden curls danced around the Phantom like rays of sun that tempted the frightened Silver in, like a moth to a flame. “They’ll never be able to forget.” Silver swallowed, yanking his gaze away. “That’s not true--” he muttered, staring determinedly at the ground. “Father—he loves me.” The Phantom read his heart instantly. “Yes. He does. But do you deserve it?” The Phantom inquired. A hand entangled with threads lifted itself, ink dripping like drops of rain. “Listen to me; Can’t you imagine the conflict in his heart when he looks at you? You, who has the blood of the ones who destroyed his home and the lives of his people. The one who has the face of the one who killed those he held most dear.” Silver stumbled back as if the Phantom had removed the blade from her chest and stabbed him. “Every time your father looks at you, he must be reminded of his sorrow. And yet—he held you. Nursed you. Protected you. Loved you. Even though he must have suffered doing so.” Silver’s throat went dry. How many times has he thought these thoughts in his head? He thought of his father’s smile. How much of his pain was he hiding behind that smile when he looked at him? And Malleus-- “No! Just get away from me!” Silver turned and ran, the treads trailing behind him. His haggard breath echoed in his ears, only matched by his heartbeat as it pounded against his chest, like a prisoner banging on the bars of its prison. He had to get out of here. He had to get away before-- “Why are you running?” The voice was at his ear. He shuddered, nearly falling forward before the threads yanked him back. “Are you trying to avoid judgment?” Silver clenched his eyes shut. “N-no! I…” He shook himself as the hands pawed over him like he was a kitten, his body becoming as cold as ice. “Your blood killed them. Your blood destroyed Briar Valley and the lives of those in it. Because of your blood, Malleus grew up without a family. Will you not accept responsibility and disappear?” “I…I didn’t…” “You were born in the palace that was stolen from Malleus. You have your life at the cost of his mother. And Lilia’s beloved.” Silver stopped his struggles. He recalled the memory of Malenora, the love she had for her unborn son, a love Malleus never got to feel. Because of the Knight of the Dawn. His father, his blood. Tears fell down his face as he trembled, his veins turning black as the shadows that surrounded him. “I…” Strings wrapped around his weeping eyes, blinding him.
Tumblr media
“It hurts, does it not?” As the gentle words rang around him, he felt the thread around his neck tighten. It didn’t hurt, but he knew this wasn’t a good thing. Yet he couldn’t stop it. “Don’t you want to stop hurting them? Break the chains they placed on themselves for you? Cut the bonds that hurt them?” The thread cut into his neck. “Don’t you feel like severing?” Blood fell.
--
Phew! I had to do a quick job here! (Sorry it’s sloppy!) Anyway, I put my Halloween playlist on shuffle and got the song “Evelyn, Evelyn,” which kinda fits for how I imagine Silver and his Phantom getting along, but I focused on three lines in particular;
“Why do we bother to stay?” Why stay if he’s hurting the ones he loves?
“Why are you running away?” Why is Silver running from the Phantom who just wants to end his pain?
“Don’t you feel like severing?” Cutting his bonds to his family and life so he’ll stop hurting people.
I may expand on this in the future in a fic because I see potential for angst. (I also want to create a better image.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this quick ficlet and wish me luck because I’m going to try to do two inktobers this year! Why? Because I tend to bite off more than I can chew to "challenge myself."
("clean" image, btw.)

that twitter thread who also explained the symbolism around that art is just *chef kiss* AND ALSO PAIN....
as if SILVERS DISTRAUGHT EXPRESSION WASNT ENOUGH IMPACT-
The clock hand acting as like a guillotine to lilia who just couldnt careless if time will just inevitably kill him- SILVERS DESPERATE HOLD ON HIS WEAK FRAME PLS IM SO DEVASTATED ABOUT THAT‼️💔‼️💔🥲
malleus' finger stopping the clock hand but silver is hesitantly pushing it away AND PLS QUOTING THE THREAD??? "hes distraught his father is dying but understands that the clock needs to move"
IM CRYING BECAUSE WHEN HE ENCOUNTERED THE LILIA ON SEBEKS DREAM SILVER SAID SOMETING LIKE " If (staying in Briar Valley) was what you truly wished for, then I wouldnt mind spending the remaining days with you!" 🥲😭🥲😭😭😭
the composition!!!! THE CONCEPT???? the storytelling!!!!! JUSTA GRJAJDJQJD!!!! i wish i can word how much emotions this has been giving me but all the best i can do is just keysmashes !!!! !!!!!❤❤❤
LIAN I FEEL SO DUMB, YOU SOLVED SUCH A BASIC MYSTERY FOR ME 🥲
so i got sent that piece of fanart from several sources and of course it tore my heart out, BUT I NEVER PUT IT TOGETHER THAT IT WAS A CLOCK HAND WHICH SEEMS SO OBVIOUS NOW???? AND IT'S EVEN WORSE????
the tortured expression that the artist gave silver is EXQUISITE— the raw desperation of holding on to his father and yet at the same time, the selflessness of understanding that he cannot stop the inevitable? like can we just take a MINUTE to unpack this because i don't care how often we do, it never fails to render me utterly speechless with awe.
lilia is silver's only living family member that we know of at this point in time. he is the one who raised him, shaped him into the compassionate and loyal young man that he is, who wishes for nothing more than to carry out his father's desire for peace among fae and humans. we know that silver has already experienced one crisis of faith about their family of two when he was younger once he realized that lilia was not his father by blood, and overcame it with the understanding that regardless of their circumstances, lilia truly loves him as if he were his one and only son. silver has already proven as well that he has grown up so sheltered away from briar valley society, with only the zigvolts and malleus on the occasions that he could visit for company. lilia is his cornerstone— he is both the bread and the wine at the childhood altar where silver learned devotion through patience and unconditional love.
and yet, despite being rocked to his core and foundation shattered by lilia's announcement of his fast-approaching demise and departure, silver is the one to yield and let him go? silver, the one who has the most right of them all to rage and despair at lilia for how he sprung this news on them and how cruelly he carried out his departure, is once again, his father's greatest supporter? that he would go up against malleus, their prince, someone he has sworn to defend, in a hopeless battle that he must know he can never truly win in terms of magical ability alone, all to allow his wretched, selfish father the choice to leave their side as he so desires to lick his wounds in relative anonymity for the rest of his dimming days?
all lilia had ever known through his long, tragic life has been the human capacity for callousness; is it any wonder that he would be floored to realize his own son's boundless capacity for love?
