The BJU Bible Conference Schedule has been up for several weeks now. There are two big things that are noticeable:

All but two of the speakers are local -- very local. And Tim Potter and Dave Doran are pretty much regulars. Doran spoke last Bible Conference too.

And more shockingly.... There's no Jones on the playbill!

I have this scene in my head of a giant DC/batfam crossover where everyone in the batfam inherits Bruce's adoption tendencies and he has no clue what to do about it.

Like one day, the batfam find a homeless Peter Parker, end up doing a DNA test, and bam, it's Dick's son. He's around 14, and has that same sunny disposition as his father. The Wayne family has grown by one and they couldn't be happier.

Except... Jason has been acting weird lately...

At first, it was a little weird because he had been spending more time around the manor to see Peter. And then he stopped. Completely cut contact out of nowhere. Dick confronts him and finds a 16 year old Danny Phantom hiding behind his brother with the brightest, green eyed glare Dicks ever seen.

A month later a French class visits.

It's their last trip of their middle school year before highschool. 17 year old Damian Wayne walks in with a 12 year old Marinette who's small, nervous, and is so smart she skipped a grade. Damian is happy to announce that he has a new daughter.

Bruce promptly chokes on air.

It was movie night, like every Friday night, and you and your boyfriend had just sat down to pick something to watch.

As your boyfriend was scrolling through your movie options, out of the corner of his eyes he saw you yawn. He smiles like a lovesick fool at how cute you look when tired.

Turning to you, he chuckles quietly asking, "Tired, baby?"

"Extremely," you reply in a soft voice, leaning against his side.

He throws an arm over your shoulders, pulling you onto his lap. You shift slightly, trying to find a comfortable position before you lean your head against his chest.

"What time did you go to bed last night?" he asks you softly, brushing your hair out of your eyes.

You shrug, answering, "I don't know."

He rolls his eyes affectionately at you, pressing his lips to your temple, which only causes you to melt into his embrace more.

"What was the last time you saw on the clock?" your boyfriend rephrases his question.

Your eyebrows furrow together in thought, your boyfriend's heart melts just a little bit more at the sight. God, you're gorgeous.

He never thought he could fall in love before, let alone this in love. Every little thing you've done and will continue to do since he met you has only made his heart beat stronger for you.

"One twenty ... something," you respond.

Your boyfriend's arms tighten around you, holding you closer as he asks in worry, "You went to bed that late?"

With a small giggle, you reply, "I went to bed like two hours after that."

He makes a sound between a sigh and a laugh, bringing you closer to his chest as he presses a series of kisses to your face.

"Baby, you need to sleep more," he gently scolds you, smiling down at you with that same lovesick smile.

"I know," you whisper back, nuzzling your face into his chest.

Getting a sudden idea, your boyfriend twists around on the couch, laying down across it as he settles you onto his chest.

"How about we play the movie as background noise so you can sleep?" he suggests, running his hand through your hair as you snuggle deeper into his chest.

"Sounds good," you mumble, yawning once more.

He kisses the top of your head, clicking on your favourite movie as his arms encircle your waist, keeping you close.

"I love you," he mutters, nuzzling his face into your hair, smiling at the smell of your shampoo.

God, he was whipped.

"I love you too, sweetheart," you mumble back, closing your eyes as the feeling of your boyfriend's finger running through her hair and the warmth of his embrace lulls you to sleep.

And it's not just preachers and panels in Chapel anymore. BJU will feature athletes as Chapel speakers.

Athletes.

Sometimes we literally will have a pep rally in the Davis Field House and hear from some of our Bruins Athletes and what God's doing in their lives.

And then near the end of MetaChapel:

We also have the third week of our Chapel is Micah Potter is an NBA player. His dad has preached here. His grandfather's preached here. He was on the US select team this summer, so he literally hung out with LeBron and stuff and Kevin Durant. And so he's going to talk about what it's like to be evangelistic, to be a disciple-maker in a D1 school. his wife Elle is also a D1 athlete. She's, I think, about my height -- 6'3". He's about 6'10."

And so he's going to come and share what that's like.

We're going to have kind of an interview format like this.

And then he's going to spend time with our Bruins athletes, and maybe we'll have time for photo OPS with the students. So we're looking forward to having Mike and Elle Potter coming the third week in Chapel.

Wow.

Having D1 athletes who might have rubbed elbows with LeBron are BJU Chapel Speakers? Even if Micah is BJU royalty, does that qualify him for Chapel? It happened last week too:

Bruce and Selina walked into Wayne Manor

Selina: Tonight was nice Bruce.

Bruce: Glad you liked it.

Selina (running her hand down Bruce's chest): You know, I don't have any plans for tomorrow, I could stay the night.

Bruce: Sure thing, would you like a guest room or share my room?

Selina: I think you know that answer to that.

They kiss.

Jason: You're home late.

Bruce (after restarting his heart): Jason! You almost gave me a heart attack.

Damian: It is late father, and now you bring home your partner? If you two are to share a bed, please take the necessary precautions. Personally I see no reason to have an additional sibling.

Bruce (embarrassed): Damian!

Dick: Damian has a point isn't seven children enough for you?

Tim: Honestly, I don't know how much more Alfred can take.

Steph: Poor Alfred.

Cass (signing): We're looking out for Alfred.

Duke: We'll always look out for Alfred.

Selina (laughing): Well it looks like your kids object, I'll use a guest room.

Bruce: No, this is my house, and I'll do whatever I want.

Danny: That's what he said.

Bruce: Danny...

Selina: Danny!? Oh my, hi! It's so nice to meet you. Sorry for not coming by sooner, I've been off-world for a while doing- She looks at Bruce. Stuff that was 100% legal, and only came back last night.

Danny: It's nice to meet you too, can I call you grandma?

Bruce starts choking

Jason: Hmm, well we all do call Selina "mom" once in a while.

Damian: Well I call her Ms. Selina, I have a mother, but yes she is a good maternal figure, even if dad is too much of a coward to propose marriage.

Dick: Truer worlds have never been spoken.

Duke: Especially given this will they, won't they, is a more of a what don't they.

Selina (laughing): I like my relationship with your father as it is, though I won't be opposed to getting married some day. As for your question Danny, you may call me grandma.

Bruce (who currently wants to melt from embarrassment): Selina let's go, besides the children are up well pass their bedtime.

Batkids: Boo.

Bruce: Don't make me get Alfred.

Batkids: Bed, got it!

The kids disperse to their rooms.

Bruce: I'm so sorry about that.

Selina: Are you kidding? I love those kids, plus I'm a grandma now. And really, bedtime? Dick is 25, Jason is only here half the time, Cass is your second youngest and she's 19, I understand Damian given he's only 12, but I don't think you have jurisdiction over Danny's bedtime.

Bruce: My house my rules.

Selina: Fair enough. Selina placed her hand on Bruce's cheek. Now, where were we?

Bruce (resting his head on Selina's hand): I believe we were heading to my room.

Selina: Lead the way then.
