Note
Since Cass and Jason have such wildly different kill rules it makes sense that they would dislike each other at least a little bit. However, they are both friendly with Duke, so whenever the three of them are together they both try to be the favorite sibling
Cass and Jason are one of the tougher duos to keep a balance I think Jason is too afraid of Cass to try shit where she can see/know about to the best of his ability and to Cass he's like an especially weird bug she can't puzzle out (like you Died you know what that's like how could you think it's okay to bring to other people)
I don't think the three of em have much time to hang out in costume tbh so they're mostly hanging out in civies or in the Hatch (ie Dukes Turf because he's the only person who legally exists)
the moment Duke leaves for the bathroom or anything it's Dead silent as both Jason and Cass do their best to pretend the other isn't there

Huh
You know those AU/fics where the kids met earlier?, like, Dick is just old enough for Damian to be a baby kind of situation and somehow they all met and get adopted within no time from each other and all that
Well, i think the perfect dynamic for a fic will be this one:
Dick
He wasn't happy at first. At all. He went from a life of a single child to older brother of like 4 or 5 now?? In like, less than a year.
He didn't even have time to adjust to Jason before he found little Tim following him around in patrol. Not time to get around that little stalker child before Jason found a lost girl in need of help who couldn't talk. No time to even get a hold of signs when Talia came to drop a baby on Bruce.
The worst part? While he can't get around it, because he's still dealing with his grief, and anger, and why does it seem like B gets tired of his last child every week, where does that leave me, And why do this kids that i barely know look at me with eyes that say they'll follow me to hell and back-
That's the thing, his new sibblings follow him like newborn duckies, they observe and copy, and do everything he does except to leave him alone. And he's not sure how to feel about it.
He's overwhelmed with all the attention, with how this house that used to be silent has become anything but that.
And also, he can't go up to the chandeliers now. The babys try to follow behind him and he knows that non experienced people shouldn't do that. That also sucks.
Wally is making fun of him. That's one sibbling for every time you complained about not having any, he says.
He gets used to them as time goes on tho, he couldn't imagine a day without Jason coming to his room to tell him an over the top sight into the book he mentioned to have to read for class.
He can't imagine not to see tiny Tim bright up every time they see each other in the hallway.
He even forgets to actually talk sometimes instead of signs because Cass just wants to spend so much time with him and they both practice the signs a lot.
Damian is the weirdest baby ever, but he's the only member in the family who doesn't complain about being hugged for long times, at least not yet, so that's cool.
Jason
He's just happy to be here.
He didn't knew what exactly a family was, and when he found out there was another kid there, he felt a bit more safe, they could team up if it was necessary to protect themselves against the adults.
The closest thing he had to sibblings before where other kids in the streets that helped each other out, the older kids got jobs at convenience stores and sometimes they'll leave out food for them, you had to protect the youngest.
He was happy to have an older brother, and Dick clearly knew what he was doing, so everything was good.
And then he found Tim inside a trash can when he was allowed in a recon mission. He was so, so tiny, like the other kids he had met, and he knew the little thing needed protection from the world. He also had a camera with pictures of B and Robin, and that was probably important.
But whatever, two sibblings instead of none now had to be a jackpot! He did feel bad sometimes about B getting tired of him because of Tim, but, at the same time, he loved that little gremlin so much he could forget about it.
Until he wasn't so sure when Tim found a lost girl wandering around town. (He isn't Even allowed to go out alone, whats wrong with him?) don't take him wrong, Cass is great, she joins them in pranks and in spying on Dick, but she also doesn't let him forget that she's older than him (just a few months damn it!) but it's just-
She's just so much better than him too. She can't read, he has her on that, but that's all. She's stronger than him (she beated his ass in training at least twice now), she's faster, she doesn't cause problems, She's smarter than him for fucks sake.
So, why-
Why would B still want him around with this kind of upgrade?
It's not like he can ask tho, B is been very busy since that lady came to give him a baby. Literally.
And, sure, Damian is a weird ass baby, the only one he's seen that doesn't cry for most things. But he likes the little guy, he just hopes he'll still be here by the time he learns how to walk.
Tim
Tim didn't expect to be caught. He also didn't expect for it to be the new kid who found him, and as if there was anything else to surprise him with, said child auto proclamed himself as his big brother from now on.
He didn't knew if his parents will like that, because the didn't like children, not even him sometimes, but when they came back the next week and the police arrested them for working with black mask and tax evasion they didn't even ask to see him, or tried to when he reached out, so he couldn't ask.
Jason did become his brother tho, when Mr. Wayne adopted him after that, the same Mr. Wayne he knew was Batman. Huh.
Well, anything was better than an empty house, and now Robin was his-
OH GOD ROBIN IS HIS OLDER BROTHER NOW.
FUCK HIS PARENTS. HE LIVES WITH HIS HERO NOW. HE WILL OUT AS MANY CRIMES OF THEM AS NECESSARY.
Tim was overjoyed to know this. Everything was nice, Dick was cool, he didn't talk much with them, but he's Robin, nothing's cooler than that.
And Jason does spend time with him, he loves beating his ass in maro kart.
And then he found Cass when he went out to buy a new camera, he wasn't allowed to go out alone, but it wouldn't be for long, they wouldn't notice surely.
They did notice, but the good thing was that it saved him from taking Cass home on his own.
She's nice too. He never had a sister (or brother too) before, but he likes her, she helps him find hide spots around the manor.
Who he doesn't like a bit is the baby. That Demon spawn.
First he appears out of nowhere. Second, he only seems to cry when someone is talking to Tim.
What is wrong with that thing.
He also follows him around for some reason, and grabs his shirt, but if Tim tries to look at him or hold him he cries. Really, what's wrong with this baby?
Like, sure, Bruce did have him by accident, and so did Tim's parents, but the fact that Damian's did want to keep him around and pay attention to him didn't give him any right to be like this.
It's not like he's better than them, B adopted them all out of a sense of duty.
Cass
Suddenly, communicating is a thing.
If she has something to say it's that she's happy. She got a baby brother, two actually. And a Big brother. And then a very baby brother.
And a Dad that loves her. And a granpa that feeds her anything she wants except for burgers. But dad buys her a burger in the secret if she tells him.
She likes spying on Big brother. She likes learning to read with baby brother big, and to hide with baby brother tiny.
She likes to stare at very baby brother. He stares back.
So everything is good.
She's happy.
Damian
Baby Damian tolerates his family. He let's Dick hug him, and Jason carry him around talking about who knows what until he falls sleep.
And gets into staring contests with Cass.
But the one he really likes is Tim. He likes to have his attention, and he doesn't like when he doesn't have it.
But he also doesn't like to fully have it, he gets overwhelmed.
Basically, baby Damian wants Tim's attention but not too much.
The family also makes a bet on who will make Damian laugh first.
They all lose when it's Tim, even Tim loses because he had all his money on Dick.
Because apparently, his presence comforts him when he misses Talia.

Shout out to the person who noticed Steph was the only one in heels and said Dick would totally wear heels. You didn’t know it but you were ahead of your time (it was always my plan to put discowing in heels).
Steph originally wasn’t going to get heels but then I got the idea to add the wings and I fell in love but I think the in universe reason is she wanted them for the drama and she was extrapolating design elements from Batgirl’s og outfit and Batwoman. I was going for like a gothic princess sort of vibe which turned out a bit more Fischl from gi than I intended, but I think that actually suits the vibe pretty well.
Another shoe detail: Jason’s shoes are meant to be slight platforms to match his desire to be tall and imposing.
This is a side tangent but I want to talk about it. For this au I’ve been trying to strike a balance between feminine and “would this character actually wear this?” Now the answer is mostly no. The outfits by nature are impractical as hell bc that’s how magical girl media is, so the question I’ve been asking is more “would this character feel comfortable in this outfit?” I want each look to be equally feminine which means I’m hyper conscious of not making the women more feminine than the men. Magical girl designs are hyper fem by default so my goal is to basically make everyone relatively the same amount of fem.
However, I’m also trying to take into account personality. This is where I might lose some people but hell it’s my au. So why are Jason and Cass the only ones so far with real skirts? This is totally my headcanon but I think they’re the only ones who would benefit from skirts:
Dick would be fine with wearing a skirt but I think he’s ultimately neutral about it. He would totally do it though if someone asked and would be fully aware of how nice he looked.
I don’t know if I’d say Tim would like wearing skirts so much as he doesn’t care. He’s more concerned with practicality.
Steph doesn’t have any issues with skirts but I think as a part of her uniform she would feel stifled. As as I said previously I think part of her look is based on Bats she would’ve looked up to but also partly it was secret wish fulfillment for that little girl who would’ve loved to look like a kickass mary sue demon princess from a y/a novel.
Duke in my opinion wouldn’t see the appeal. I think he’d be similar to Dick but just a little more shy about wearing one. I gave him a little ruffle though bc I thought it was cute.
Babs is fine with skirts but tends to prefer pants.
Cass is a bit different because I think wearing something frivolous is so novel to her. I wanted her outfit to be a blend of her canon design and her appreciation for dance. I tried to contrast her more practical elements (like her pants and armor) with the soft things I think she would enjoy (like a flowy skirt.) I still have ambition to go back and design a Black Bat outfit for her but I haven’t quite figured out the direction I want to take with it.
Jason on the other hand— this also very much in hc territory— I think didn’t know how much he would enjoy a skirt until he got to wear one. Stepping away from the universe for a sec; Jason is the most masculine design fundamentally which means that in order to match the vibe I would have to make him the furthest from his canon design. I’m really not trying to make a statement or subvert things by putting men in skirts bc it’s supposed to a silly au with aesthetically pleasing designs. I like feminine things and it shows in my work however I don’t see clothing as naturally gendered. That’s my little context psa back to my point. I think Jason is the most likely to wear a skirt and actually feel empowered by it. At first I think he was embarrassed by it but the outfits choose you so he just went with it out of necessity. And through that he found he really thrived in the juxtaposition between his intentional imposing figure and this unashamed femininity. He’s a drama kid at heart and fr what’s more dramatic than an ill-advised fit that serves. The skirt to him feels like a costume that helps give him the confidence to be Red Hood or ig… Red Bow. (Which is sorta how I think of the red helmet in canon but I also do believe that Jason and Cass would have the most fun wearing a skirt.)
I haven’t decided if Bruce will get a skirt or not but if he does just know that my reasoning is that his artifact was humbling him. Like you take yourself too seriously calm down with the brooding. He would use the skirt as a way to conceal more weapons.
(I think Kon would love wearing skirts but in this au because he built his own outfit I think he was trying to seem impressive and edgy and distinguish himself from Clark. I also think, despite enjoying skirts, he would have to work up the courage to wear them in public and never as Superboy because he would be too conscious of his image.)
Anyway I don’t claim to always succeed with my intentions coming through in my work but this is what is running through my head.

For the ask game
How do you think the batclan and the league of assasins would react to a consensual rastim au where because of this tim becomes the heir therefore the next demon's head
for the ask game!
heir of Ra's!Tim my BELOVED. i don't care how realistic it is it's real in my heart. i love when they're consensually fucked up together.
i think it's fun if it's sort of a slow descent, for Tim. like he goes into this completely confident he's going to backstab Ra's and come out with clean hands, but he's falling deeper and deeper. Ra's is a far more complex man than everyone has told him, and the longer Tim is entrenched in the League, the more he's drinking the kool-aid. it doesn't help he's already in a grief spiral full of self-isolation and Ra's is showing him all kinds of attention. Tim can't say when it went from "i'm going to stop him in the back" to "huh Ra's' bedroom has more of my stuff than his" bc it was so slow and gradual. maybe the search for Bruce takes longer, maybe Tim finds Bruce but sticks with Ra's for a totally rational reason with a plan he definitely plans to follow through on, eventually. but he gets closer and closer to Ra's and his lack of identity without Robin makes it easy for him to latch onto all the ideas of grandeur Ra's gives him about building a better world. Tim isn't *completely* sold, but he's able to meet Ra's in the middle for most of it
on the side of the League, i think there are a lot of divided opinions. Tim is a hit with younger League members like Prudence, but the more senior members who've been with Ra's for decades are a tad incensed at getting so quickly outranked by a teenager who doesn't even believe in murder. a lot of what Tim believes goes against the very nature of the League but. at its core, the League is loyal to Ra's. any of them would die for him or his cause and they have wholehearted faith in his judgment. because he has a point, the kid is smart, a brilliant strategist, and with some more work, won't be too half-bad in a fight. when Ra's names Tim as his heir, everyone knows it's a very distant future thing (Ra's still has a few more centuries in him and he makes sure they know it) so there's still time to work out the kinks in Tim Drake. Ra's has gone so far as to share the Lazarus Pit with Tim, so *clearly* this isn't some ploy and Ra's is dedicated to him. there's pushback, and i do think there would be some schisms in the League, smaller groups fracturing off and attempting a few coups of the League. even if Tim goes over relatively smoothly, there will be some fights that break out. and Ra's leaves it to Tim to handle, proving a point. making it clear Tim is an equal leader to the League and is more than capable of handling conflict with brutal efficiency. that wins over the last bits of support for Tim, some through genuine respect, some through fear. either way, Ra's is quite proud his choice of partner and heir has proven himself.
the Batfamily on the other hand is a complete shitshow. i think the most positive reaction would be Jason, not necessarily because he approves, but because i think he'd find the ironic joy in watching Tim finally get out from Bruce's thumb and cause absolute chaos. in a way, Bruce really has no place to talk with his history with Talia, so it's not like Tim's completely ex-communicated. they're all constantly trying to get Tim back, trying to convince him how bad of an idea this is and how terrible of a person Ra's is. i think Tim would keep close to the Batfam, partly because he *does* still care about them. Dick, Helena, Cass, Bruce, are all still some kind of family, for Tim. but there would be a clear rift. obviously it'd be the worst for Cass, who has the strongest opinions on morals and was so close to Tim and has to deal with feeling deeply betrayed. i'd have a lot of long conversations between them, where Tim talks about how he's trying his best not to compromise his morals and he's really doing this for the greater good he believes in, while Cass tries to understand his point of view and cope with the betrayal. Steph would also feel pretty betrayed, even when they break up there's a deep love between Tim and Steph and this change for Tim feels out of nowhere. they're all constantly reaching out to Tim, sometimes for serious conversation but sometimes just inviting him to hang out, hoping to get through to him slowly. they still care about each other, but the trust is what's gone. especially from Damian, who never trusted or liked Tim in the first place and would be the most furious he's replaced as an heir by Tim of all people. it's messy, but it's complicated.
for the rest of Tim's social circle, the Titans and whatnot, it's a similar reaction. the more distant of Tim's hero friends have no issue cutting him out, but people like Cassie and Bart and Kon would try to talk to Tim about it because it feels so uncharacteristic of him. they've known Tim a while, sometimes in more personal ways than the Batfam, so this switch up is sudden. i think he'd feel the most guilty about hurting them, just because they're genuinely his oldest friends in the superhero world. but he sticks to his guns and makes it clear he's happy with Ra's, and he's doing this whole League thing, like it or not. they'd still come to Tim's aide if Tim needed it, and god help anyone who hurt Tim's friends bc he'll raise hell for them, but emotionally they're distant from him. it's hard for someone like Kon to reconcile a person willingly working with Ra's given Kon's own parentage. there's still love, but it's messy and complicated. i do think slowly though, Tim would try to get them on his side. it starts with innocuous side comments made about the state of the Justice League/Titans, him not holding them back from going too far in a fight the way he usually would, as sensible team leader. it'd take a slow, long while, but i do think Tim could slowly get at least a couple Titans to be his allies, even if they're not full League members.
all in all, Tim rlly does get to have his cake and eat it too. sure, trust is lost and people aren't as close as they used to be, but Tim loses very few people he genuinely cares about. either they love him too much to abandon him, or he slowly talks them into agreeing with his new moral code. because he's still anti-murder at the end of the day, and it's clear with him at the helm, the League is slightly shifting. even Ra's seems more agreeable these days, far more open to working with heroes without instantly stabbing them in the back like he usually would. Tim can't change who Ra's is and he honestly doesn't want to, but that's the fun of it. the way they're always so opposed and arguing half the time, yet still managing to make it work because they love the chase.

Should I make an intro post? Too bad, I’m going to
Special interests, in order of importance/how often I might post about them:
Doctor Who, with special emphasis on the Gallifrey audio dramas but really all of it, classic and new
Batman, but I’m really picky and prefer (1) the Batfam as a whole (especially Cass, Barbara, Dick, and Jason); (2) Bruce being a good dad, or at least flawed but loving; and (3) Batman as detective who solves mysteries and cares about the wellbeing of Gothamites
Xena. No comments here, just Xena
Idk if Steven Universe is really a special interest but he IS in my url and I get excited to share posts about it so I’m including it
The occasional pretty notebook or other writing paraphernalia
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, though I don’t post it much because I don’t feel like talking about politics on tumblr
About me
I’m an adult, well past college, with a career. That’s all you need to know about my age. I do post about a lot of all ages media though and I don’t care if teenagers follow me, just know I’m older
I use they/them pronouns
I’m audhd and THAT is also an old special interest so I may occasionally get excited and do an infodump
My irl hobbies include reading, writing, knitting, archery, urban sketching, doll collecting (formerly American Girl, currently mostly cheap end BJDs), and the Society for Creative Anachronism. If you share any feel free to chat about them!
I follow and like from @acertainmoshke, which is my writing blog
Since I just told you that, you may as well call me Moshke here too

Thinking about Jason. I don't know why, he hasn't had a serious turn in my head yet, I guess. Also the half-argument from...Batman 137? where they're yelling about like, death and crime and utilitarianism -- that got stuck in my head.
Anyway it lines up with this other issue I have with DC comics, which is that the way they write Batman sometimes feels...deeply hypocritical? Other heroes kill people and fight violent criminals but aren't enmeshed in a deep dark tragic space where they're always apparently two steps away from turning into a deeply immoral/abusive/totalitarian figure. But future/AU Batmen are routinely stuck in this box. As far as I can tell, the potential reasons are
(a) there's something wrong with Gotham. (This is what's happening in the current 'Tec run, I think, and exists in all the "Gotham eats her children" headcanons.)
(b) Gotham's villain-hero landscape is uniquely disturbing and eats away at the souls of its participants. (??? I guess? This feels silly unless it's explained by (a), and fairly boring as a basis for storytelling, at least to me.)
(c) Bruce Wayne is has a uniquely sensitive empathetic response, and is probably really poorly suited to a life with this much violence, and all of it just hits him harder than it does the other heroes; people like Bruce tend to self-select out, and Bruce is just stubborn.
Wonder Woman kills people and the WW writers don't throw themselves all over the page talking about how Wonder Woman is going to succumb to a life of violence and trauma. (I mean, maybe sometimes they do. I'm woefully under-read on WW, but I'm confident enough in this assertion to put it here. Corrections welcome!)
So like...what's up with Batman? Future!Batman!Tim and future!Batman!Damian get this treatment as well, sometimes, and that's also baffling -- because Bruce Wayne, so far, hasn't succumbed to the kind of deeply immoral/abusive/totalitarian figure that DC likes to portray as just lurking around the corner. Is he uniquely able to withstand the pressure of the role? (Well, Bruce and Dick Grayson, of course.)
And with Jason...I do get Bruce's position. A death is a death is a death and at its heart (thank you Kingdom Come), Bruce is just trying to make it so that no one dies. Jason has a utilitarian point, as is sketched out in Batman 137, but it seems clear the actual issue is simply that his ethical position is different from Batman's. Jason thinks a death can be justified; Bruce doesn't.
(Are there any Cass and Jason comics? Because I would love love to see a Cass "ripped the bat off of Kate's costume" Cain and a Jason Todd ideological clash.)
(Why are Cass and Jason on the same side of Gotham War? DC, did you think this through?)
But, see: Batman works with Wonder Woman. Batman adores Wonder Woman. He may disagree with her methods, but that doesn't prevent Trinity team-up after intergalactic mission after them all showing up in each other's comics. So why are Batman and the Red Hood constantly at each other's throats? / Or -- why does DC seem to act as if there is no solution? / Why can't Batman work alongside the Red Hood? Some thoughts:
(a) The paternalism issue; Bruce considers himself uniquely responsible for Jason's actions, and his stepping aside as condoning them. The feels like an easy solution: Bruce Wayne's kid is not a kid anymore. He can make his own decisions.
(b) Gotham again. What other people do in other cities is their own business, but Gotham is Batman's city and he's not going to stand by and let Gothamites be killed. (Counterpoint: Kate? I haven't read any Batwoman but the extent to which DC keeps these separate is wild.)
(c) Jason refuses to consider a team-up without Batman's concession to his methods/refuses to change his methods in the interests of temporary peace. (Valid as an interpersonal stance but I thought we did this already in Urban Legends? Maybe not.)
Anyway I don't have a solution to this yet but I'm pretty sure Wonder Woman is the key. It'll probably come out as a fanfic by the end of the year; I've got a title already, so it had better.

Hi! I don't know if you're still answering but I was wondering how a family reunion may pan out in your freedom AU. I get that at least the batfam are not very involved in Damian's life. Do they ever get closer? And what about the supers? And do you think someone tried to convince Jon to not give up on the hero's life?
(AU)
It's not so much that they're not involved, but more they're scared to be - at least Bruce and Dick. I have it in mind that Jason, Cass and Steph visit somewhat regularly. Tim too, but moreso after Jon moves in, since he's married to Kon. (Tim and Damian get pretty close after their both with their respective Kent boy - thus the TimKon story)
But for Bruce and Dick - Damian got out. Damian got safe, and what kind of people would they be if they dragged him back in? And then even outside of still heroing, their biggest fear, the thing that keeps them up at night, is Damian being targeted or becoming a victim because they were seen with him, or some villain figured out that this random animal shelter director was important to them. So, because of their emotional stuntedness, to keep him safe, they stay away, not realizing that it more or less turned into self-inflicted avoidance. And because Damian isn't much better (though GETTING better) he internalizes it and just...doesn't bother, assuming they don't want him and just doesn't ask. They all text regularly, like any modern family does. Have a group chat and all. But he stopped asking for social calls. In first story timing, Damian is still at the 'don't reach out, they don't want you' stage. At the timing of the Bruce and TimKon stories, he's probably been in therapy and recognizes it for what it is.
(Jason, Cass and Steph recognize this and how dumb their eldest and youngest are, so they make it a point to have regular hangouts with regular Damian doing regular things. They also find these hangouts help their own mental health and push to do it more often. But, just like with Bruce and Dick, they do NOT include Damian in ANYTHING hero. NOTHING. So they basically rebuilt their friendship and love for him from the ground up as 'normal people', and are all better and happier and closer for it. They still sometimes talk cases but not in a 'wanna help?' way, but more a 'you will NOT BELIEVE what happened last week' way.)
As for Jon, I don't think anyone knew he was even considering leaving heroing, so when Damian called that morning post-story, to inform Clark and the Supers where Jon was and what was going on, I think they were hella surprised. They also didn't realize he was struggling so much with being a Super, and any of the losses.
(They ABSOLUTELY knew he was hard crushing on Damian, though. That was the LEAST surprising fact of the whole situation.)
I think the Justice League and Bruce might push for Jon to reconsider, or at least push Clark to make him reconsider, but Clark wouldn't. I think he, Lois and Kon would go to Damian's that day of the story, or in the next few, and just have a heart to heart. (That Damian awkwardly tries to avoid while working from home (to take care of Jon)/being in his own house. He walks the dogs like four times in an hour to not be there.)
But they talk with Jon about what happened, and what he wants. Jon cries, and apologizes for being a failure and letting them down, to which they all deny, and are proud of him for doing something for himself for once. Then they talk about how he's going to transition, and how he's going to coexist with Damian. That's probably the only thing they harp on, Lois and Kon especially, that Damian is NOT his parent, and he's not there to take care of him, as much as Damian would happily do so, because he loves him. They touch on some of the things Jon already had in the story, but a little more in depth. But overall they'd support his decision, and already tease him about when the wedding was going to be.
Damian and Jon would LOVE if their families visited more often. They'd love to play host, love to have people stay for a few days. They're completely domesticated and would just thrive in being the families' 'safe/happy place.'

Anti Tim Drake posts and 'I hate Tim Drake' posts - I learned a new word
In aa way, it's all just... Cute. Just so fcking cute I can't even think.
I just decided to read some of it and, let me say, it felt GOOD. it was SO nice :D like. He's a comic character, sure, and it's kinda meaningless, but it was really fun (guys i don't like fanon Tim and in comics i just don't really care about him). Especially because you know that there is a lot of similar posts with Damian haters, Jason haters, Bruce haters, even Dick haters, but almost none about Duke and Cass, because - surprise! - people are either afraid of being accused in racism and other stuff or just don't know enough about these characters to form opinion. It's all just funny to read. I enjoy reading all of it, sometimes, because, honestly, the only characters of Batman I actually like are their version in my Reverse Robins AU LOL. Like. Even Tim. I love them all in my AU :D but, like, you just can't hate any of these characters in canon OR in fanon because there are just TOO MANY writers with TOO DIFFERENT takes on them. It's, like, I don't know, myths and legends? It doesn't make any sence. They are all too different at different takes.
Plus i genuinly think that people often apply comic/weird logic to their fics and call it true. Even then, I like reading batfam fics. Yes. It's just interesting to see how much people love ignore something or exaggerating something. Myself included!
Sorry for bad English. BUT HEY, THE NEW WORD FOR ME IS woobify. And I even got its meaning without translator, because context.
Also just put tags 'Where is Cassandra Cain?' and 'Where is Duke Thomas?' for fun. Do it. Or don't. Meh i'm just talking to myself :D

Little Thieves
First posted: August 1, 2018
Focuses on: Jason Todd, Bruce Wayne, and Cassandra Cain
Tier: In the bottom half, for sure. I'd say bottom fourth, but it's been around long enough that's it's gathered at least some hits and kudos.
This is my "behind the scenes" series where I indulge myself horribly by annotating my fics. Link to the fic itself above. Thoughts below the cut.
Another BatFam Week entry. I don't remember if this one had a specific origin, beyond a general melange of other fics that dabbled in AUs and/or Jason and Cass being twinsies.
The first time Bruce saw the little thief, the brat was three tires into the Batmobile and working on the fourth.
Piqued Bruce is always funny to me. Outwardly he's stoic, inwardly he's an emoji factory.
As always (for me), the logistics were the tricky part—thinking through how Bruce could have met Jason without Cass first, how they could've followed their original path to a point before it needed to deviate sharply but still make sense. I don't like fics that don't make sense.
He turned toward the door and spoke as he stepped out into the hall, “Turn right out of the door, take the first staircase you see, and then turn left through the swinging door. Dining room’s right there, can’t miss it. See you in fifteen, Jason.”
I had to sit and mentally walk through how I "saw" the Manor in my head. Do you know how much I hate doing that? Spaces are my bane. Don't describe spaces to me, I won't picture them.
When Bruce checked on Jason in the night and found the window open and the guest room empty, he was only a little surprised. He was more surprised by the thanks carefully printed on the paper left in the center of the bed atop a neatly folded pile of clothes.
You know what I love, though? Baby Jason. He's a hypervigilant and traumatized kid, but he's got manners! He knew Bruce didn't mean him any harm and didn't have to give him dinner but did anyways.
“That’s not food. That’s packing peanuts and caulk disguised as food.” Sometimes the line between Bruce and Batman was thinner than even Bruce himself realized.
Bruce and Batman... Bruce and Alfred...
And that was when the absent tire iron came whistling through the dark and struck Bruce in the back of the knees.
Cassandra Cain in any universe is a ballsy little firecracker.
What Bruce saw next was a head of short, spiky black hair, its face turned away from him.
Figuring out what Cass might look like in this universe was fun. Keeping feminine hair, even in a chin-length bob, didn't seem practical for multiple reasons. But a boyish hack job, maybe done by Jason? That made sense.
It felt like a track skipping in Bruce’s head. One second he was lurking in a dark bathroom; the next, he was in a fluorescent-lit exam room, looming over Jason’s prone body.
Sometimes my vision physically judders when I'm mad enough. I figured seeing a child—one he knows—beat to a pulp would do that for Bruce, but worse.
Bruce took another step forward, then stopped as his armor tapped against the knife leveled at his abdomen. He looked down. The other child stood between him and Jason, a serrated blade the length of their hand lifted to block his path. Their eyes locked on Bruce’s, dark and determined. The left half of their face was speckled with a fine mist of blood, the color counterbalancing the angry bruise on the opposite cheek bone.
Cassandra Cain. Ballsy. As. Heck. no matter the universe. She absolutely would have gone for Bruce's face if he'd pushed it.
“And that one,” Leslie continued, pointing at the silent one, “dove in to the scrum and pulled him out.”
I love the way I wrote them. It's very Kaz and Inej but with sibling loyalty and without the emotional constipation.
“Can she hear me?” Bruce asked, when Jason didn’t answer. Jason nodded. “She’s not deaf. She just doesn’t talk.”
That, though, that's Angels in the Outfield. Wonderful movie.
“Are you sure this is a wise idea, Master Bruce?” Alfred asked as they watched Leslie’s headlights pull up the long driveway. “No. But I’m sure it’ll be fine, Alfred. What could happen?”
I literally had A Plan. I knew how I wanted to deal with their arrival, with them figuring out Bruce was Batman, Dick, their teen years, "Death in the Family", all of it. Alas.

Okay, so you know “Justice League meets Batman’s kids, who they’d previously been unaware existed” AUs?
So picture that.....but this time, instead of them just having no knowledge of any of these other Gotham vigilantes at all....the Batkids all migrate to various cities as they get older and become known as their protectors - Dick in Bludhaven, Tim in San Francisco, Cass in Hong Kong, etc....
Meaning they’re all established figures, the Justice League are aware of them as solo local heroes who stick to their cities and so they just don’t interact with them much if at all, or else some are members of team lineups but are particularly vague about their histories or life outside of the team’s adventures....
So the big reveal isn’t that they become aware of all these other Gotham vigilantes all at once....its that some big conflict or whatever requires a huge team up of all available heroes, and in the aftermath, they figure out that like.....despite being known as solo heroes who work alone or loners outside of their team settings, 80% of these heroes all not only seem to already know each other, they seem to be related.
And so naturally they all turn to Batman, who has profiles on every known hero and they thus figure had researched these individuals too and just never mentioned this little detail, and they’re like, “Did you know about this?”
And then Nightwing turns to him too, arms crossed and is like, “Yeah Dad, did you know about this?”
And the infamous Red Hood is all: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have never met any of these people before in my life. Lives? Whatever.”
And then Red Robin moodily grates out “I have no siblings.” Since he’s nursing a grudge since Dick and Jason broke into his apartment the night before and replaced all his custom Red Robin gear with Darkwing Duck merchandise and his vengeance will be swift and also totally disproportionate because things escalate quickly in this family, that’s true in every universe.
Cass meanwhile has deftly skewered Jason’s lie by walking over to him and brazenly patting down the man with many many guns with no fear whatsoever. He squawks and futilely attempts to bat her hands away as she riffles through his many pockets, but he doesn’t seem shocked, just annoyed. Eventually, she pulls away and triumphantly reveals a box of Hello Kitty themed band-aids.
“So these are yours then? Just for you?” Black Bat asks smugly. Red Hood squints at the box.
“What the fuck? How long have those been in my jacket? Why are those in my jacket? Did you freaking plant them in my jacket just on the offchance you could at some point in the distant future use them at my expense?”
Black Bat frowns, puzzled. “Yes?”
“Oh come on, Dead Hood,” Spoiler says with an exaggerated toss of her head meant to convey she’s rolling her eyes beneath her own mask. She skips her way across the room to Black Bat and then drapes herself languidly all over the smaller woman. Who in turn doesn’t so much as twitch beneath the sudden added mass as Spoiler holds out her hand towards the box of band-aids.
“One please. I have a boo-boo,” she says with easy familiarity straight into the intimidating cowl of Black Bat. Only then does she deign to finish her train of thought with Red Hood.
“I mean seriously, are you saying you don’t have potential blackmail set-ups, pre-rigged releases of incriminating material, and a random assortment of traps, pratfalls and mortifying scenarios in place for the express purpose of being able to humiliate any and all of your siblings at any given moment, without any need for additional prep time?”
“Is this true, Little Wing?” Nightwing whirls on the larger Red Hood with a faux-scandalized gasp. The founder and leader of the Titans, formerly the Teen Titans, renowned for his stratagems and calm competence when directing squads of supers in the heat of battle while he keeps pace with nothing more than naturally acquired acrobatics and a utility belt that apparently uses the same technology as Wonder Woman’s invisible jet....now appears to be....staggering with the back of his hand pressed to his forehead, moaning about how he felt....faint?
What is happening right now, several dozen superheroes want to know. Is this a drill? Are they supposed to be checking for signs of a mental ambush from undetected psychic saboteurs? Did they all hit their heads at the exact same time and are now experiencing some kind of shared mass concussion?
Look, that wouldn’t be the weirdest thing to ever happen on the Watchtower.
“Have I failed you so utterly?” The veteran child hero bemoans with a dramatic twirl - that when contrasted with his stern demeanor of a mere ten minutes ago - makes the fears of telepathic infiltration seem less paranoia and more....concerningly probable. “Did you learn nothing from me? Did you learn nothing from B?”
He stops and jabs a finger up at the sky. “Quick, everyone! What is the very first rule of Living While Batty?”
As if by rote, over a half a dozen voices chime in from all over the room, causing various heroes to jump. Spooked by yet more and more vigilantes joining in some kind of mass recitation like they and they alone have some kind of clue what the hell is going on and everyone else just hadn’t been invited to the party. Which is just rude, honestly. Nobody likes feeling like they weren’t invited to the party. Not even superheroes.
“If you’re not going to bother preparing for every possible contingency and at least six impossible ones, you might as well just stay in bed.”
Even the Red Hood joins in the Illuminati chant or Cub Scout pledge or demonic ritual or whatever the fuck that just was, though his slumped and exasperated posture gives away every hint of sulkiness his headgear otherwise would have kept safely hidden. He’s surprisingly more...expressive, than most who’d only known of him by reputation had expected him to be. The day continues to yield surprises.
“Of fucking course I do,” he growls out, snatching the box from Black Bat. She doesn’t even fight to hold onto it, just lets it go with a knowing smirk. “I wasn’t surprised by the idea of it, I was just surprised she bothered with such a weak effort. Like yeah whatever, actually those could be mine. I use those all the time at home. So what?”
He aggressively yanks one of the band-aids out of the box, fumbles with the peel-off strips with one hand and he roughly rolls up the sleeve of his jacket with the other. Then just slaps it on his forearm and raises said appendage high, showing it off this way and that. “See?”
“Oh yeah, for sure,” Signal drawls from the other side of the room, nodding his head approvingly. “Totally convincing. Nice job walking that one back, you really showed them.”
Red Hood’s head snaps in his direction with ominous intent. “Watch it, Day-Glo.”
Signal just snorts.
“Yeah, like I’m gonna take constructive criticism on my name and costume from a dude who’s spent the last several years calling himself Red HOOD while running around in a freaking HELMET.”
“Its not meant to be literal, you fucking pedant.”
“So wait, its not literally a helmet? Huh, does it at least protect your head literally, or just like...symbolically? Like if Bane were to clock you across the head, would your concussion just be a metaphor? What’s the treatment protocol for a metaphorical concussion? Fluids, bedrest and a philosophical prescription of two chapters of Chicken Soup for the Soul as needed?”
“Laugh it up, KC and the Sunshine Band,” Red Hood bats back. “You just got yourself disinvited from Thursday night’s poker game.”
Signal just grins and folds his arms over his chest cockily. “Please. You’ve been looking for an excuse to ban me for weeks, cuz you know until you can prove I’m using my ghost vision to cheat, you can’t actually bring suit against me for it in Family Court.”
“That, and also Family Court isn’t a real thing, you toddler. Stop validating Wing-a-ding-ding’s obsession with Shitty TV Nostalgia and just call it that thing where Oracle traps us all in a room until we settle our latest fight without anyone getting stabbed.”
“Yeah, but like, say that five times fast,” Spoiler pipes up. “Its just not practical. Family Court’s way easier.”
“Says the one who’s not even in our fucking family.”
“And yet I grace you all with my sublime presence anyway,” she blows a kiss at him, beatifically unbothered. “You’re welcome.”
The Red Hood scoffs and rounds on his heel, zeroing in on Batwoman in the far corner.
“Hey Auntie B, my siblings are all dead to me and I just helped stop an alien invasion so I deserve nice things like a fun Saturday night. Can you get me into Dad’s fundraiser so I can crash it? He won’t put me back on the list until I promise not to bring any C-4 with me and I won’t promise not to bring any C-4 because he should just trust me that I won’t when I say I’m not gonna and he won’t trust me that I won’t until I admit I shouldn’t have brought any to that sting last month where three tiny little yachts blew up through barely any fault of my own, and I’m just not gonna do that ever because I have convictions and I feel I shouldn’t have to be punished for that. Y’know?”
Batwoman blinks at him. “Kid, I’m not gonna lie to you. You’re my nephew and I love you, but I stopped listening three seconds into all that.”
“Ugh, fine. Can you help me crash Dad’s event tonight so I can teach him a lesson about why he should just trust me not to make a scene so I don’t have to always make a scene to make a point.”
“Tempting as you make that sound,” she says wryly, “I have a strict policy for dealing with you lot and your......everything. I only worry about tolerating one of you at a time, and there’s seven of you, and seven days in the week. You each get your own. You know perfectly well its Robin’s day today. You get me on Tuesday, just like always.”
“Auntie B, we’re not like other families, are we?” Red Robin’s delivery is sarcastically childish and his question clearly rhetorical. Most of his attention is fixated on whatever it is he’s doing with his wrist-mounted computer.
“No sweetie, we’re all severely fucked in the head and a little bit too comfortable with that.”
“Just checking. Oh hey, Hood, I just emailed you a patch for the hole in your firewall I exploited when replacing all my shit using your accounts just now.”
“You did what?”
“Used your accounts to pay to replace all my stuff that you fucked with last night?” Red Robin says slowly. “Did you not realize that I’ve been sticking within ten feet of you for the past five minutes just so I could clone your devices and do all that while BB and Spoiler kept you distracted? I gotta say, bro, I feel like that’s on you then.”
Red Hood swivels his helmeted head in the direction of the aforementioned two. Black Bat waves. Spoiler shoots him an utterly unrepentant thumbs up.
“You’d side with your ex over me? That’s what its come to?”
“My only allegiance is to chaos,” Spoiler says brightly. Black Bat shrugs.
“Plus he bribes better.”
“Hateful,” Red Hood points at Black Bat, moving on to level the same finger at Spoiler, who curtsies in acknowledgment: “Hateful-er.”
Then the finger rounds the bases to aim judgmentally at Red Robin. “Hateful-est. And that was all Nightwing’s idea anyway, not mine.”
“Oh, I assumed as much,” he says casually. “Your idea of a prank tends to have more of a Carrie vibe. Or be a literal literary reenactment.”
“Its called an homage, 4chan.”
“Whatever, plagiarist. And anyway, I couldn’t go after ‘Wing for payback on this one. He used an Immunity card. If you didn’t want me getting back at you, you should have used one too."
Red Hood looms aggressively. Red Robin ignores willfully. Round and round they go. Superheroes who can survive excessive G-Forces are getting dizzy just watching them have a largely motionless stand-off. That shouldn’t be how that works, but whatever. All the most infamously reclusive and isolated heroes in all hero-dom are apparently part of the same one big reclusive and isolated family of fucked up weirdos and they’re all officially bonkers. Nothing makes sense anymore. Reality broke. Try another stall.
“Okay, but see, in order to have an Immunity card, I would have to participate in one of you losers’ stupid Immunity challenges,” the Red Hood drags out with exaggerated patience. “And I’m just not going to do that, on account of those all being fucking stupid. You see the problem there?”
Red Robin just shrugs. “I don’t know what to tell you, bro. You can have principles or you can have an Immunity card. You can’t have both.”
Meanwhile, on another side of....the same room.....look, its like, an octagonal room, probably. It has a lot of sides. Robin fends off questions from an aggrieved looking Superboy.
“You never told me you had a bajillion brothers and sisters!”
“Yes but I never said I didn’t either.”
Superboy rolls his eyes. “Oh yeah, so I should just assume everyone I meet has a bajillion secret brothers and sisters?”
“Well clearly it would have worked out in your favor in this instance if you had, now wouldn’t it?”
“Assuming of course that you can trust what has been said or implied here today and I am actually related to any of those numbskulls. Which I am not actually admitting to,” Robin tacks on hastily.
Superboy eyes him dubiously. “You joined in the same creepy chant all the others did and then got super self-conscious and looked around to see if anyone had noticed. Which uh. I did.”
“First off, your interpretation of body language is abyssmal. I do not get self-conscious,” Robin says with a delivery that probably could have benefited from being a little less self-conscious. “And second....that proves nothing. I guessed what they were going to say.”
“Word for word,” Superboy says super-skeptically.
“I’m very good at guessing things. You know this.”
“Okay. Guess how much I believe you right now then.”
Robin glares and folds his arms grumpily across his chest.
“And what was that anyway? Was that like....you guys’ family motto or something like that?”
“Oh no,” Spoiler pipes up. “That’s much shorter.”
Superboy balks at that. “Wait, you guys actually have one of those for real?”
“Yup,” Steph says, counting out the words with her fingers. “He who laughs last....probably works for the Joker. So tranq him just to be safe. See? Only sixteen words. The first rule of Living While Batty is way longer, and what we said was just the abridged version. You should hear the original, before Black Bat put her foot down and refused to memorize it unless sizable edits were made.”
Superboy hovers between her and Robin now, both in mid-air and on the verge of taking Spoiler’s words as an invitation to hear just that. A low growl arises from Robin’s direction.
“Must you?” He asks the older vigilante, with a most put upon expression.
She looks at him pityingly. “Do you actually need me to answer that? Like, we’ve met, right? Hi, I’m Spoiler.”
“Wait, so Robin said that I just never specifically asked him if he had a bajillion brothers and sisters, and that’s why he didn’t tell me, so that means he wouldn’t have just lied and there’s not some code of secrecy that flat out forbids telling other people stuff, right?” Superboy realizes excitedly.
“Yes, excellent direction. Go on,” Spoiler says, steepling her fingers. Robin buries his face in the palm of one hand.
“Soooo, what other stuff could you tell me about Robin’s super top secret family that I wouldn’t think to ask about but that he would tell me about if I knew what questions to ask?”
She claps once, lightly but with emphasis. “Well done. You’ve passed the first barrier. Untold secrets await you behind just a few more.”
“I’ll get you for this,” Robin vows calmly. She waves a hand at him.
“Yeah, yeah. Just make sure you do it before January 1st, remember? You’ve promised retribution like ten times already this year and those don’t roll over, y’know. Rules are rules.”
“Enough!” Thunders a voice then, from the front of the room. Well one of the fronts anyway. Like sides, it has a lot of them, but this is the one where Batman’s standing. All eyes snap to him. Which is kinda just what eyes do when Batman says stuff like that. Its like his superpower, except he doesn’t actually have superpowers, which is what makes it scary. But where the snapping of the eyes (directional) is usually followed by Batman saying something else besides just “hey look at me,” here he pauses in the wake of his own call to attention’s waning reverberations. Uncharacteristically silent.
Not that, y’know, he’s normally Mr. Talkity Talk, but usually his silences feel like he has the words to fill them, he’s just withholding them. This though, this feels more like he doesn’t have any words at all. And he’s as confused by it as any of them, and most everyone else is confused by Batman being confused, and its this whole trickle down economy of confusion and its wrecking havoc on the value of the golden silence standard.
Of course, not everyone present is rendered spellbound with confusion.
“C’mon B,” Nightwing cajoles, leaning forward and practically radiating delight. “I think you know what you have to do now. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Its not likely to come around again.”
Red Hood snickers beneath his helmet and chimes in. “Yeah Pops, go ahead. You do this and you’ll actually have my respect for a whole twenty four hours. No, wait. Sixteen. No! Eight. Yeah, eight. Still a good deal.”
“Carpe diem, B,” Red Robin grins, leaning back as if to enjoy the show.
“Hey! Infringe on my trademark one more time, dude,” Signal throws a faux-glare at the former. Red Robin just quirks an eyebrow.
“And what, you’ll start saying Yum every time you eat a burger? Oh no. I’m hoist by my own petard.”
Signal flips him off with a grin and then redirects his attention back to Batman. “Yeah seriously though B, you kinda gotta do it now. Because if you don’t do it, then you’ll forever be the guy who didn’t do it, and you don’t want to be that guy, do you?”
“Yeah you really don’t want to be that guy,” Spoiler shouts out. “Nobody likes that guy. He’s the worst.”
“Do it, do it,” Black Bat starts chanting beside her, steadily picking up speed and volume. Several others start joining in. Even Robin appears to be slightly anticipatory, albeit trying very hard to hide it.
Batman sighs, and somehow everyone manages to hear it. Stills. Waits for....something? Nobody but them seems to have any clue what, but the air is thick and heavy with portentiousness. Something is about to happen, and all most of the heroes present could say for sure is it was something they never would have in a million years seen coming.
Finally, Batman straightens with the resigned air of a man about to have oh so many regrets. He crosses his arms, shakes his head, and in an absolute deadpan monotone, says:
“You are awful children. You know you’re killing me. You’re killing your father.”

so hard to be both a jason and tim stan in this economy... can't look at any fan content about the both of them because it's literally all wildly out of character and/or demonizes jason or damian
RIGHT. I say I love Tim and then never talk about him because, honestly, I’m not willing to put up with whatever a big portion of his fan base is. I don’t need repeat what we all know about fanon Tim being the most annoying thing ever, but it genuinely makes me not want to talk about Tim. Every Robin has had insecurities about their position and especially as someone worth Batman’s time (including Dick, very prominently). Tim was independent by choice, not because he was forced out of the family at any point. The fact is that he was not Bruce’s son for the longest time and he was okay with that; in fact, he loved his dad very much and didn’t want Bruce in his place at first. Which is another point: Tim’s parents. People are free to project as they like and I’m not going to go telling anyone off for making them horrible parents, but it’s not canon. They were neglectful and definitely bot good parents, and Jack’s recovery did bring issues from him, but their love for him wasn’t questioned. I don’t mind portrayal of his parents being cruel parents that don’t love him, I guess, it’s not the worst; it’s just boring and simplifies his relationship with them. This does not mix well with any character.
Fanon Tim always comes at the expense of every other character involved: Kon is an idiot, Jason is a hardheaded brute, Cass is Tim’s bodyguard with no other purpose, Dick is a bad big brother that chose Damian over him, and Damian…God. He is almost always the brat that needs to be put in his place for being heartless and arrogantly thinking he’s Tim’s superior, etc. and it’s like, do you never get bored? Yes, it’s incorrect characterization, but moreover, are these people not tired of acting like this 10 year old ruined their fave’s life? I see it more with Damian, but it definitely does happen with Jason too, where he’s this evil, failure Robin but good thing Tim’s better and everyone actually likes Tim. Or maybe that’s just actual, garbage canon I’m remembering.
I’ve read quite a few Titan’s Tower AUs, so I’m definitely not judging here but I really do loathe the idea that Jason walked in ready to kill a kid on Talia’s word like the idiot he is. Firstly, Talia did not set Jason off on anyone, she only ever gave him the resources to do what he wanted. Leave her out of your white boy messes. Secondly, Tim would not be alive if Jason was there to kill him at all. It’s fairly simple to tell that’s not Jason’s intent if you just read the actual TT issue. Further, if Jason really were here to kill this kid, why would a few tears stop him? Oh, right. Lazarus pit. Because the evil Talia didn’t teach him how to control that and actually all of Jason’s actions are because of it. And they lived happily ever after. Jason also didn’t just walk in here unaware that Tim isn’t adopted, his parents travel a lot etc. He did his homework and knew everything about Tim before he walked in. He just flat out did not believe that Tim had made himself Robin, rather than Bruce just having him ready as an option after Jason died. The whole fight being acknowledged annoys me, and I know this one isn’t fair because it’s canon, because it’s the beginning of Jason’s manchildification, but also because Jason would never hurt a kid just to hurt them. His duel with Mia is proof of that.
Speaking of Jason and kids, let me bring this back to the topic of Damian being demonized. It’s always “I came back to the family to tell you guys that you all suck for being mean to Timmy” when (A) no one is doing that (B) Jason is not about to yell at an actual child for Tim. He’s also not going to yell at Dick for being an awful big brother because he *checks notes* rightfully told Tim he was in a mentally unwell state and passed his mantle on to the 10 year old that just lost the father he had spent his entire life dreaming of meeting.

Can I get headcanons for an au where Bruce adopted the kids when they /were/ babies, please?
Use the bathroom, get comfortable, and maybe have some tissues on hand.
For these headcanons, we’re gonna assume they were adopted in order of age, and that they’re all under 18. So Dick and Babs are 16 (with Babs being older), Harper is 14, Cass is 13, Jason is 12, Tim is 7, Steph and Duke are both 5 (with Steph being older), Carrie is 3, and Damian is 1. Yes, I’m aware that it diverges from canon age gaps but once you keep reading you’ll see why I did that.
Now for the headcanons (in no particular order):
Alfred is “Grandpa” and Bruce is anything from “Dad”, “Pops”, “Old man”, “Baba”, etc. All the other adults, like Kate or Clark, are aunts and uncles.
Steph and Duke compete over everything, like who can tie their shoes the fastest or learn to ride a bike first. Steph makes a point of letting everyone know she’s older, but Duke fires back with the fact that he’s taller. They’re both at the top of their kindergarten class and are known for butting heads, but God help anyone who decides to pick on one of them.
Harper got her first period at school while wearing white shorts. Thankfully, Dick and Babs came in clutch.
At school, Kon told Tim that he got ten dollars every time he lost a tooth. Tim tried to hack the system by pulling a bunch of teeth out at once (thankfully to no avail) until someone caught him.
Babs has a different secret handshake with each person.
When Damian first came along, everyone expected Carrie to be angry or jealous since she’d no longer be the baby of the family. And she was a little jealous at first. But the moment she saw him, her eyes went wide and she whispered, “He’s so tiny” and vowed to protect him with everything she had.
The last business trip Bruce took was when Cass was a baby, and the reason why it was his last one was that while he was abroad, Alfred sent him a video of Cass taking her first steps and he burst into tears in the middle of a meeting because he wasn’t there to witness it in person.
Dick once used Damian as a wingman to pick up girls. It worked so well that Jason tried the same thing, only to have it grossly backfire on him.
Whenever Bruce needs a break, Alfred will call everyone to the living room for one of his infamous spy stories.
Cass is the queen of April Fool’s.
Tim, Steph, and Duke regularly climb on each other’s shoulders to try to reach the cookie jar.
Harper is a pro at getting gum out of people’s hair. Tim is a pro at the exact opposite.
Bruce gives Dick “the talk”. Dick then gives it to Harper who gives it to Cass who gives it to Jason and by then it’s so misconstrued by then that Bruce has to re-give it to all the kids.
One time Jason lashed out at school and it led to the teachers referring him to a therapist. Bruce stayed with him during the first appointment and Jason admitted to feeling unwanted because of what some kids at school said. Meanwhile, back at home, all the other siblings were trying to get their names to be Damian’s first word, like a competition. None of them ended up winning because when the other two came home, Damian called out to Jason. (And Jason cried on the spot because it didn’t matter what people said at school, he was wanted by the right people).
Group outings with the Kents or the Allens are a normal occurrence.
Harper gave Bruce a heart attack when she DIYed her hair dye and piercings.
The first time Tim saw a shooting star, he was convinced that aliens had arrived to take over the world. His conspiracy-driven panic spread to his younger siblings and that’s how Alfred found them all hiding in a blanket fort wearing saucepans as helmets.
Steph once got lost at the mall and the first thing she did was buy ten Build-A-Bears.
Cass regularly carries her younger siblings like suitcases.
Bruce never rushed Dick into getting a license or helping out around the house.
Harper once snuck on a train to the next town without telling anyone because she wanted to ask Kate advice on coming out.
Nobody got any sleep for the forty-eight hours when Damian’s favorite stuffed animal went missing.
Duke is a LEGO kid. Carrie is a horse girl. Together they created the ultimate toy equine sanctuary.
Bruce can’t ground the kids. They’ve unionized.
Jason is no longer allowed to pick movies on account of the time he chose an R-rated slasher.
It’s an open secret that Cass accidentally left Tim at a haunted house once.
Alfred custom sews a ten-person "get along" shirt.
Duke once snuck Damian to school for Show And Tell. Steph ratted him out almost right away.
Jason tried to make his younger siblings reenact Shakespeare. It lasted a good thirty seconds before it dissolved into people hitting each other with props.
As a big mystery/conspiracy theory person, Tim was wholly convinced that Damian was an extraterrestrial because the first time he saw him, it was at the hospital where Damian was hooked up to a bunch of machines after he was born. It wasn’t until after three different people explained the concept of preemies to him did Tim finally get it.
Carrie loves to play dress-up and will rope in anyone in the vicinity.
Bruce’s favorite song to sing to someone when they’re upset is Lean On Me by Bill Withers
Cass taught everyone obscenities in sign language and it was all fine until someone caught Babs at school and she got detention
Alfred can’t remember the last time the house was not babyproofed.
Between birthdays, holidays, Gotcha Days, and other special days, there’s always a reason to celebrate at Wayne Manor.
Whenever they fly on the private jet Duke's in the cockpit insisting he knows more about airplanes than the pilots (Alfred or Kate) bc he watched the Planes movie.
Harper got matching leather jackets for all the sisters.
Bruce gives Tim "coffee" that's 90% milk and a splash of coffee for flavor.
Cass and Jason communicate solely in inhuman grunts.
Carrie can and will latch onto the first person she sees like a koala bear.
There's a running gag among friends on how many siblings Dick has because he tells stories without ever using names.
Bruce comes home after a long day of work and everyone drops what they're doing to dogpile on him.
Harper only got an after school job to pay for her Club Penguin membership.
They all make snowmen in descending size order with Bruce's being this huge towering one and Damian's being like three inches tall.
The girls have a "no boys (except the baby) allowed" zone.
Carrie can't pronounce the letters "R" or L".
When Damian learns to crawl suddenly all the other family members become a jungle gym.
Bruce doesn't notice when someone invites a friend over without permission because what's a few extra kids anyway?
Harper comes out and for a week people wouldn't stop making bi puns.
They try to do that thing where each family member puts a different colored handprint on the mailbox and they end up running out of space.
As the oldest Dick gets stuck with babysitting or he's forced to let Jason tag along when he goes out (bc all parents make their older kids do that) and he resents it but at the same time no one can talk trash about his siblings.
Damian's animal collection begins when he brings in a mouse from the yard. (Cue the hilarious siblings-helping-him-hide-new-pets montages.)
Someone beat Bruce for “World’s most attractive man”, but that’s okay because he was voted “World’s happiest man” instead.

GUIDE TO BATFAM AGES + REVERSE ROBIN AU! AGES
their ages are so fucking confusing so i decided to do the hard work and figure them out so you don’t have to :D
normal ages:
using frank miller’s “year one” as a reference, bruce was 25 when he comes back to gotham after training and traveling abroad in january. he turns 26 in february of that year, and debuts as batman in april: this makes him 26 when he becomes batman
now since dick was first introduced in Detective Comics #38 back in 1940, we obviously have some issues of batman by himself
i headcanon he’s had about half a year to himself while crimefighting
this gives him enough time to construct somewhat of an image for himself (like the whole “batman is an urban legend” thing)
dick in his first appearance was 9, and bruce sorta adopts (looking back on this it’s more like kidnapping) him after his parents die
this gives dick and bruce a 17 year age gap
now, dick retired from being robin around the same time he went off to college. and since his birthday is in spring (he’s got like 7 different birthdays so cut me some slack), he’s 19 when that happens
this is when dick had his bisexual awakening and donned the discowing (disCOWing? disco-wing?) costume btw
and since this is 10 years after dick became robin, this means bruce is 36 because maths
now while dick’s gone jason comes in
we’re still assuming dick’s 19 while he’s gone because from what i think i remember, jason came in fairly quickly after he left
anyway when jason stole the tires and got rescued from ma gunn’s he was 12
making dick (19) 7 years older than jason and bruce (36) 24 years older than jason
AND SO we all know that my boy jj died when he was 15. like this is %100 confirmed
so let’s say after about 6 months after his tragic passing, tim drake puts two and two together and figures out that batman is bruce wayne. he goes to dick and tells him to become robin again, yadda yadda yadda
now, i headcanon tim to be 11 when he figures this out. some people say anything from like 9-13, but 11 makes more sense to me personally
if he’s 11 that’s giving him an age gap of 4 years with jason
a gap of 11 years with dick (now 22)
[in young justice (90’s) we have 15 year old tim talking to 20 something dick about how the night where dick’s parents died is a night he’d never forget. if you want this to make sense you’ll have to decrease dick’s age and increase tim’s to close the age gap. my recommendation is making dick 5 or 6 and having tim be 3? honestly it just doesn’t make any sense lmao the maths don’t add up]
and he has an age gap of 28 years with bruce (now 39)
so when bruce dies and dick becomes batman, tim’s 17
and we all know this because of all those “look me in the eyes and tell me a 17 year-old CEO is a good idea DC” memes
during this time (6 years after he shows up at wayne manor) bruce would’ve been 45. dick is 28. jason would be 21
steph is a year older than him, so she’s 18/19
and around this time i think damian shows up
and damian’s 10 in his first appearance
but i think he’s currently 14
some side notes:
bab’s age is fucked up in timelines. because in certain iterations she’s closer to bruce’s age, but a lot of the time she’s dick’s love interest
so i’m making her 4 years older than dick in this (if you don’t like it you can suck my dick work around it i guess)
and for cass: she’s 6 months older than jason which makes her about the same age as jason.
so she’s 3 years older than steph, and 4 years older than tim, and 11 years older than damian
tbh i haven’t read much about duke but according to @peppersonironi (thanks for correcting me!) he’s 3 or 4 years older than damian
SO IN THE END:
if damian wayne is 14 in your fic then:
duke is about 17/18
tim is 21 (yeah i know he’s eternally 17 but this is real maths)
steph is 22
jason is 25
cass is 25 as well (or 26, depends)
dick is 32 (don’t worry guys 32 isn’t that old. plus, he can be a DILF)
babs is 36
bruce is 49 pushing 50 (if your fic is taking place after february then he’s 50)
HOWEVER!
if damian is 10 in your fic that means:
duke is 13/14
tim is 17 (yay! eternally 17!)
steph is 18
jason is 21
cass is also 21
dick is 28
babs is 32
bruce is 45
NOW FOR THE REVERSE ROBIN AU! AGES:
since bruce was 26 when he adopted 9 year old dick, damian can be 10 when he’s adopted by bruce (this matches up well, which makes me happy)
this gives bruce and damian a 16 year age gap
if we’re getting technical, that means that bruce would have to become a teenage vigilante for him to have a teenage pregnancy with talia al ghul
so let’s pretend that bruce started training for bat“man” at 15 and hit the streets when he turned 16 (yes this sounds super unrealistic but tbh how else is this gonna work out)
anyway that means that damian would leave and become his own vigilante nine years later at the tender age of 18 (call it artistic differences) while bruce is 35
so while damian might go solo and have his gay/bisexual awakening with an off-brand discowing or something, tim’s going to be 12 (the ages add up well here too) and just figuring out that batman = bruce wayne
and something’s gotta happen to make tim realise that batman needs a robin in damian’s absence
y’know so he ends up going over to damian to give him the speech of how batman needs a robin that he rehearsed in the shower and in front of a mirror to perfection
and then damian will take him to the manor and give tim the robin costume as a “dude shut up and go help batman yourself idc” gesture
so this gives tim (12) and damian (18) an age gap of 6 years
and tim (12) and bruce (35) have an age gap of 23 years
now you kill tim at 15 or have him go off on his own in order to open up a spot for jason
if you go down either path, making tim red robin is pretty cool because jason (whose spot he takes in the RR au) was originally red robin!
anyway a few months after tim’s divergence from the batfam (make it as angsty or as chill as you wish) jason steals the tires off the batmobile half a year later at 11 (which *chef’s kiss* ALSO adds up according to the Reggie Canon)
so jason becomes robin at 11
this gives him and tim (15) and age gap of 4 years
him and damian (21) a gap of 10 years
and him and bruce (38) a gap of 27 years
and six years later, 9 year old dick grayson’s parents die. bruce’s adoptive instincts kick in and he takes dick in as his newest robin
IN THE END (with the age gap they have referring to baby dick):
dick is 9
babs is 13 (age gap of 4 years)
jason is 17 (age gap of 8 years)
cass is also 17/18 (age gap of 8 ½ years?)
tim is 21 (age gap of 12 years)
steph is 22 (age gap of 13 years)
duke is 23ish (age gap of 14 years)
damian is 27 (age gap of 18 years)
and bruce is 44 (age gap of 35 years)
[ whew this took a while. inspired by @screennamealreadyused ‘s reverse robin au (which is in works) and @woahjaybird ‘s post about ages! ]

12, 21, 19
(Is this late? Oops. Sorry!)
12: Favourite character to write about this year
Stephanie Brown, easy. She's my spirit animal, so I might be doing a touch of projecting, but I honestly don't care. She's just pure chaos in the best way. Some of my favourite lines that I've written are for her. Such as:
"What's up bitches? I brought donuts!"
"My waffles await!"
"FEAR ME!"
"Welcome to Steph’s Glitter Bomb Palace, Where Snitches get Stitches™! So don’t tell Bruce or I’ll sic Jason on you."
She's also the character I've gotten the most comments on. People really seen to enjoy how I write her!
A close second would be Duke Thomas. Bliss, a fic I wrote for the 2020 Duke Week, was one of my favourites! Or maybe Damian? His dialogue just comes easy to me.
21: Most memorable comment/review
the batfamily exist:
everyone: is,,is that allowed?
On Code Orange (Batfam/Young Justice Crossover)
*Or*
I have wanted to read a DCU/MCU crossover for a VERY long time. This story is such a delight. Your characterisation (and for me an introduction to The Signal) was fascinating in the extreme. I loved the game playing and the fact that I could watch (open-mouthed) as Bruce Wayne enjoyed childlike fun with his children and Alfred(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. I look forward to your updates in a way that you wouldn't believe.
On Batfam/Avengers Crossover
19: Any new fics to start next year
Oh boy. So many. You know what? Here's a list. It'll be good to get these ideas out. Plus, you guys can tell me what you'd rather see first!
Gen/just Batfam
Crack fic based off this piece of dialogue (came from a convo between my sister and I): Tim reached forward and poked Duke's face. "You're right!" He exclaimed. "You really *do* squish like a block of wood!" Duke Centric.
Based on THIS Incorrect Quotes. Talia moves into the Manor because she's sick of Ra's. Featuring a bunch of good mom!Talia.
Based off THIS Incorrect Quotes. Jason runs for President as Red Hood. I have so many ideas! This'll be really fun.
Loosely based on THIS post. It explores Jason and Cassandra's relationship, and how it evolves.
Duke Thomas Big Bang Fic (can't say much, but it'll be great!)
Platonic (need to be certain you understand that. There were some misconceptions w/ my Discord server) Slow Burn between Tim and Damian. At the beginning the absolutely despise each other. But over time they realise their own insecurities, and how they don't actually hate the other. And by the end they fully admit and embrace their being brothers.
Reverse Robins with Damian as the oldest (I made THIS post talking about it a while back. But I've highly revised it.)
Reverse Robins with Duke as the oldest (I wrote THIS fic, but I think I want to change this into a series!)
Cassandra as Batman. Stephanie as Catwoman. Carrie Kelley as Robin.
5 Times Bette Kane was the mastermind behind the batkids' pranks without Bruce's knowledge, and 1 Time her brilliance was brought to light.
5 Times Duke thought that he couldn't possibly get any more siblings and 1 Time he met the cousins (AKA: Duke meets the extended family)
Birdflash
Birdflash in the JL/JLU universe (based off that one hexagon by @novaviis ! Super fun!). The league is inviting potential members to the Watchtower one day. Except Wally wasn't there during the choosing of said members. So he's completely shocked when his husband Nightwing shows up. They have to act like they don't know each other, which basically involves Dick flirting his butt off with Wally, Wally trying desperately to remain professional, Bruce digging in the corner, the rest of the League in varying degrees of disapproval and confusion (at least a couple have seen Wally's wedding ring. So that adds a while 'nother layer).
Young Justice soulmate au. Dick, and eventually everyone else, knows that Wally is his soulmate. Wally is oblivious. Lots of pining and angst in this one. Slow burn to an extent (depends on how long I make it). But definitely a happy fluffy ending in sight!
Batfam Meets Young Justice
THIS fic.
Duke gets yeeted into the YJ universe, and promptly passes out. He wakes up in the Watchtower, and breaks out of the confinement the Team has set up for him. Pulls shenanigans (some unwittingly) and used his powers. The Team and JL are confused, and panicking. Because this guy keeps muttering things about the Batfam. And he has a bat on his chest.
The Team break into some ancient temple after getting info on a new Supervillian plot. They find purple clothed woman draped across a throne. She talks, and they panic, as she knows all their secret identities. The only one who isn't, is Tim. He looks bored. Alternatively: Steph needs Tim's credit card to take his sister out on a date, and absolutely refuses to text.
While the Team is on a mission to stop Lady Shiva, a dimensional portal opens up and spits out a strange Robin (Damian) and what seemed to be a female Batman (Cass as Black Bat). This new dynamic due promptly defeats Lady Shiva and all the goons. The Team is freaked out, and 'apprehends' the dimensional anomalies, bringing them back to the Watchtower. Where the due promptly break and and start chaos. Featuring "Toxic" by Britney Spears. I will not explain why.
The Watchtower gets a sudden emergency message from the Batcave. They accept, to find a stranger calling himself Signal panicking about Robin being missing. They all look at Tim, who ignores them, and says that he doesn't know where Robin is. Some naming shenanigans occur.
(Not sure if this fits here, oh well) Set in Season One, Bruce is tired of Clark's attitude towards Superboy, and adopts the clone himself. Not sure how far this'll go, but at least goes through Dick's time as Robin. (Based on THIS Tumblr post)
(Also iffy on placement) a continuation of one (not sure which? Probably Damian as older) Reverse Robins fics. It's a retelling of Season One of YJ, with Dick as Robin. Nightwing (Damian) feels protective of his brother, and so takes on the role Black Canary had in the show, training the Team. But as time goes on, he ends up being more of a big brother to the group. Cameos from the rest of the Batfam as well! And an Identity Reveal (including finding out Dick and Dami are brothers) at the end!
Batfam Meets the Justice League
Cass takes over being Batman for a bit, because Bruce was an idiot and broke his leg. This happens to line up with when the Justice League reach out to the Dark Knight, in order to extend an invitation to the league. They eventually meet Bruce as Batman, and are confused as to why he is so tall. And male.
Joyfire
Lian accidentally reveals her three parents' relationship by calling Bruce 'grandpa' over dinner.
Museum Heist
THIS fic
Operation: Seduce Nightwing. Based on a post for an ATLA ot3, Wally and Artemis realise silumaneously “Hey, we kinda have the hots for Dick” and decide together to see if he likes them back. Which involves a heck ton of over the top flirting, and shenanigans. The Team is sighing on the sidelines at their idiocy. Dick is internally combusting and thinking “Do they like me back? I’’m not sure.”
5 times Dick and Wally fought over being the middle spoon, and one time Artemis had had enough.
Set in Season 3 (but ignores some canon), Bart is kidnapped by some mad scientist obsessed with the Speed Force. The Team mobilizes, and gets Bart back from the evil base. But when they get there, they find Wally West freed from the Speed Force. He and Artemis reunite, and everyone is happy. They prepare to leave. Then the Pick-up Squad arrive in the bioship, and Dick gets out. Everyone is expecting Dick to give Wally a hug, because hey, he's his best friend! What they weren't expecting was him to run forward and pull the speedster into a passionate kiss. They go back to the Watchtower, and some more stuff happens.
Soulmate AU where the first thing your soulmate says to you after they fall in love with you is tattooed on your body.
Post Season Two Get Together. Starts with Artemis living with Dick as opposed to Will. Might be Slow Burn? (They come pretty close to kissing) Eventually Wally comes back. Arty and Wally are back together. They both live in the same house as Dick, for convenience. Then some more Slow Burn happens. Maybe some Birdflash moments. Arty tells Wally she kinda had a thing for Dick. Wally admits the same. Maybe a touch more Slow Burn. They Eventually get together.
Batlantern
AU where Bruce met Hal back when he first came back to Gotham. Fic goes through how their relationship evolves over the years (up until current time, when Damian is 13). I'm considering a relationship reveal with the Justice League.
Hal's interactions with Bruce's kids.
Green Lantern Corp acting protective of Hal when Bruce comes to Oa. This was an ask that I got, and I'm holding off on writing it till I get as much into on the GL's as possible, as all I know if their characterization comes from that animated series, and Guy Gardener's (Hilarious!) parts on Young Justice.
Marvel
Like 3 different versions of the Peter Parker Field Trip to Stark Tower Trope.
2-part Crossover with the Batfam (they exist in the same universe), where the Avengers go to a Wayne Gala, and interact with the family. The second chapter involves them heading out the next night to try and contact Batman.
THIS fic.

Note
your shifter au has been helping me get thru online learning ,, any angsty dick things? ,, please ,, if you would like ,,
ok so this is smth that i came up while talking abt dick wth @sassydefendorflower !!!
so dick loses his parents at age 9 or smth and suddenly he’s adopted into a very unfamiliar home with very unfamiliar people and unfamiliar setting, going from circus boy to wayne heir, and it’s very off putting,,, he’s battling with grief and feeling like he lost everything connecting him with his parents because, well, he was the only one out of the three of them who couldn’t really fly (mary grayon was an american robin shifter and john was a bluebird shifter !) and he’s moved away from everything and everyone he knew and he’s not even really sure he looks like them and he’s so disconnected... he doesnt shift for a week or so because it feels like, it’s reminding him that he’s nothing like his parents, and he’s so upset,, he doesnt feel like he belong anywhere anymore,,
so he does what he does best, and he performs, he acts. he’s a good happy son for bruce and the big brother he’s expected to be for jay and tim (and then steph, duke, cass and damian), and he blends into this person he doesnt really know and he looks himself in the mirror and he’s not sure who’s there looking back, and he never talks about his parents anymore
there is an ugly, stupid jealousy that sparks sometimes when he looks at time because his parents are still alive, and it’s stupid because he would never ever wish for tim to go back to his parents, but he just. dick wants his mom and his dad and the circus. he doesnt like being who he is but he does it for his family.
and when jason first arrives and they fight and jason yells that he’s just a rich, entitled kid, and it takes everything from dick not to yell back that he lost everything and he hasn’t really been happy ever since bruce took him in.
and it lasts for years, until cass joins the family and she sees him. she sees and she knows and she doesnt have all the words but she makes him understand that she gets it,,, and it gets worse before it gets better, of course, but dick finally opens up about it, about the loss and void he’s never recovered from and how he’s not sure who he is and where he belongs,,, he spends a few months really badly depressed, n the family is all here helping and supporting him,, he goes to therapy,, it slowly gets better,,, kittim curls up between his arms n purrs, and cass smiles a bit brighter every day, and jason does the unexpected which is, as a hyena, licking dicks face and hair and grooming him bc usually dick is the one always doing it and he cant right now and jason needs dick to know he’s loved,,,,,,,,,,,

In an alternate world where Damian grew up with Bruce :
Little Damian, around 2 or 3 years old, tries to put his shoes on all alone, and ends up putting them on on the wrong feet, as kids this age can do ya know. He doesn’t realize it of course, and proudly turns to his dad, big cute happy smile and all, ready to tacle the day ahead of him.
Bruce, smiling at him sweetly and pointing at the shoes : “Wrong feet, buddy.”
There's a few seconds of silence, where Damian looks at his feet, utterly confused. Then finally, he turns back to his father and says:
Damian : “I don't have any other feet ?”
Cue Bruce Wayne, big bad fearless cold and unforgiving Batman, feeling his heart melt. Then he bends down to him, ruffles his hair (Damian can’t help but burst into a huge smile), and starts to patiently explain what he meant.
I like to sometimes think about what could've been... And how Damian AND Bruce would be different if B raised him since he was a baby ? Damian obviously wouldn't be the Damian we know (although I guess he would keep certain personality “traits”, and would probably become a vigilante too...with the family he has, he’s kind of doomed to, really :/), but I also think having to take care of his kid since birth would've changed Bruce in a lot of ways, too (I could write essays about this). I like "what if" stories I guess. And an AU where Bruce raised Damian since birth, is sometimes nice to think about.
Even more so since like, imagine all the Batkids interacting with him, younger than they are when Damian actually comes in their life canonically ? Like Dick and Jason are somewhere in their early twenties when 10 years old Damian first arrives. Tim is around 16. Cass, not quite sure exactly since canon greatly varies (well, it varies with all of them really) but late teens probably. So it means that if he was raised since birth by Bruce, they’d all be kids too, and he’d be around since (almost) the “beginning” ?
Like, imagine little Jason being so protective and proud of his lil’ bro, and toddler Damian wondering where “Zayson” (I imagine him pronouncing things not quite right, like every kids) is, faced with a Bruce having to hold his tears in and think about a way to tell his youngest boy how his brother died and won’t come back ? Imagine teen Dick hesitating to leave for the Titans, even if Bruce and him just aren’t on the same page at all at the time, because he doesn’t wanna leave his little brother behind ? How history changing this could be ? Imagine Tim, around 8/9, teaching him stuffs like how to sneak in the kitchen and steal cookies without Alfred seeing ? Or even better “using him” to commit some little mischiefs around the house, like actually boosting the kid on the cookie shelf ? Haha. Stealth missions. Imagine Cass, taking care of toddler Damian and playing with him, and “learning” how to speak with him, able to say words more and more because of the love the little boy has for her, and how he admires his big sister and all ? How much it helps her understanding her own feelings, and wanting to talk to communicate better with the little one as he grows physically and mentally too ? Oh and Alfred ? Teaching Bruce all his knowledge about how to take care of a baby ? Because he would technically only be around his early to mid-twenties when Damian was born ? (if we consider a logical timeline of the event)I just think this alternate universe would have quite a lot of differences that are cool to theorize about, while still being similar...If that even makes sense. Anyway, just a sort of headcanon of mine. I just really love the Batfam, and think a lot about them...sometimes about “them” in maybe-alternate universes. Haha. Now I kinda wanna write a fic about this (or à séries).
I finally started to write this, and you can find it here : clickclickclick :).
